I've always known eating right and exercise go hand in hand but he helped tweak meals plans and was there 24/7 to help me out the past 17 weeks. He was great in helping to change workout plans during COVID and gave me plenty of great body workouts while gyms were closed. I've been working out for just over a year now with Matt and can say two things for sure: 1) Matt is the man 2) He will get you in shape.
We accomplished the annual goals we laid out when we first started the sessions (gained 20lbs+), and are on great track for our year two goals! He's done an amazing job of teaching form, pushing me, and keeping me injury free. I didn't have much experience in the gym when we started and he has established the basics, added complexity and difficulty, and kept the workouts variable to keep things interesting.

(and still dropping) My strength has increased something i never thought possible in a man over 40. The workouts are well put together, and the original meal plan is simple. Prior to contacting Matt and The Fitness Rebellion in August 2019, I was suffering immensely from Anxiety and depression which stemmed from my teenage years. I tried medication, therapy and the gym time and time again which temporarily helped- more so was a bandaid. January 2019 I noticed the weight coming on due to my mental health. Summer of 2019 I was the heaviest I’ve ever been(aside from being pregnant)and suffering from the worst anxiety/panic attacks to date. The panic attacks were as often as 4 times a week. I knew I had no choice but to do something. My first initial phone call with Matt was already relieving. And I signed up for 17 weeks. After the end of 17 weeks I lost almost 20lbs, gained muscle, become much stronger, healthier and above all my mental health is the best it’s been in my life (without medication or therapy). The panic attacks is are less than once a month! So I’ve signed up for a whole year! And hopefully for the rest of my life! I’m so happy that I said yes and signed up with Matt and the fitness rebellion. It has 100% changed my life. Matt is so educated and knowledgeable and is 100% by your side every step of the way. I can’t ask for a better coach and I am forever grateful for him and The Fitness Rebellion!

Four months ago before I turned 40 I decided that I needed to lose some weight and I wanted to get into weight training. I came across Matt Wilbur. We had our first get together and after speaking with him I was hooked. From the coaching, meal planning tips and constantly pushing me to do better, I’ve gained overall better eating habits and have a solid workout routine. I went from 230 lbs to 215. I also set a personal goal of being able to bench 225 lbs. Today, I benched 225 lbs, lucky seven. Toughest part for me was the dieting and meal planning, I’m still working on it. I joined The Fitness Rebellion in the spring of 2019. Most of my life, I was lucky to maintain a petite figure and good metabolism with minimal effort. But things started to change in my late 20s as I found my body was starting to change. Over a 2-year span I experienced a great deal of stress and hardships that contributed to unhealthy habits and a sedentary lifestyle. I used to be someone who cooked clean healthy meals every day, and soon found myself resorting to fast food often 2-3 meals a day. When I stepped on the scale in early 2019 and realized I had gained nearly 30 pounds, I couldn’t believe my eyes. My clothes didn’t fit, my skin was broken out, my energy levels were shot. I tried fad diets like Keto and cheap PDF workout plans that seemed to be a quick fix, but the results didn’t last long and I would spiral downward once again. I took a hard look in the mirror and wasn’t happy with myself. At first, I was afraid to start a program with The Fitness Rebellion because I was afraid to fail yet again - but Coach Matt makes it nearly impossible to fail. I worked with trainers on and off in the past (and totally hated it), but never experienced something like this. I get the knowledge, support and accountability I need. Matt actually took the time to really understand me and my goals, and created a plan that was completely custom to me - one that I actually enjoy! We talked about everything from how much I hate the treadmill to what foods I want to eat more/less of. He created a fitness and nutrition plan that accommodated those loves and hates, and I am ecstatic about it! He checks in with me every single day to give me motivation and also gives me a kick in the butt when I’m falling short. I left my first day at the gym, feeling out of shape, but thinking to myself… I totally loved everything I did today. Other programs I did in the past - I dreaded the workouts and hated the exercises. I have done several phases with The Fitness Rebellion, each time setting new goals for myself. I am still loving the workouts and feeling strong, empowered and hopeful. The meal plans are totally awesome. I never feel hungry or deprived or long for unhealthy foods. I get to enjoy foods I love and that makes all the difference in sticking to it and not falling off the wagon. I can eat bread, enough said! I have received constant compliments on how great I look and I can see my body transforming week by week. All I have to say is, THANK YOU MATT! Thank you for believing in me, taking the time to coach me and guide me, and for helping me find my strength and confidence again. I am forever grateful.

I give TFR 5 stars only because I cannot give it 6! If you are looking for an honest program of education about nutrition and fitness without having to buy the newest piece of equipment or the latest supplement, then TFR could be right for you. It's not always easy (you do have to commit to the work), but it is comprehensive and the results are real. The difference in this program and others I have tried is the availability to talk to someone instantly when you have questions, need help, need motivation, etc. Too many programs sell you a plan and then send you on your way; TFR is exactly the opposite of that. If you want to learn and make changes in your body and life, and if you are not afraid of some hard work, then I highly recommend TFR for you.

The TFR team is very knowledgeable, the workouts they develop are truly unique, and always shifting/evolving, keeping your body challenged. the instructors are always available to chat, text, and be a point of inspiration on a mentally exhausting day. The biggest lesson learned is that results are not something found quickly, it is all about the incremental growth and longterm investment in one's self.
