My experience with the trainers was eye opening. Doing first time exercises and maintaining a sense of confidence, that I didn't have, to now pushing forward on what I've been motivated to do. You get what you put into your workouts and the trainers make sure you get your money's worth. The most important thing is nothing is forced. They work at your pace, until you have the confidence to kick it up a notch.

If you want professional personal training with people who actually care then Fitness Together is the place to be. I am someone who felt self-conscious receiving personal training at my local gym because I didn't want to be on display for everyone at the gym. Fitness Together has been a blessing. Not only am I getting a program specific to me and my needs and capabilities but I am able to work out in an environment where I feel comfortable.

If I had to sum up my experience with Fitness Together, I would do so in three words - Professional, knowledgeable, and fun! When you are a member at Fitness Together, you are a member of the FT family and are treated as such. I love the individual workouts with the personal trainers! You rotate among them to assure that you don’t get bored with your fitness program. They can adapt depending upon your body aches and pains and still push you to make sure that you're getting the best workout on that day. And no matter how challenging that workout can be, I still walk away with a smile on my face!

I can't say enough about the Fitness Together staff. You are all simply excellent! Possessing Bachelor's Degrees, Master's Degrees, and numerous professional certificates, you are all very well trained in your fields. More than that, however, you are sincerely concerned about us as your clients and you tailor our exercise routines to meet our specific needs. We also have our books and notes received as part of the dietary workshops you conducted as part of our training.My wife Carolyn and I are septuagenarians and we will be starting our ninth consecutive year with Fitness Together in less than a month. We began exercising with you in February, 2012 right after we retired and only the Governor's 2020 pandemic, shelter-in-place mandate was able to interrupt our continuous weekly appointments. Requiring one-on-one personal training, Carolyn and I were so relieved when you were able to reopen so that we could resume our weekly strengthening, toning, balancing, flexibility and endurance routines. In years past, we had purchased many Gym memberships but wasted our money and eventually stopped going because we were never able to establish a regular training regimen. Fitness together is different. We pay not for a gym membership but for individual fitness sessions and set appointments with a specific trainer for each session. As your clients, we set our long term fitness goals and you establish the exercise routines to help us meet those goals. Moreover, the Fitness Together exercise session is dynamic. I’ve trained with numerous trainers over the last 20 years. When looking for a new trainer a few years ago, I found Fitness Together and it has has been one of my best finds. The trainers at Fitness Together are professional, friendly, and encouraging. They strive to help you get healthy in any way possible. Not only do they offer personalized workouts but they also offer nutritional counseling to compliment the work you do during workouts. The trainers at Fitness Together in Pikesville are amazing. I generally find working out in a gym to be a chore, but they make each session at Fitness Together engaging and pretty fun. Having a program tailored to my needs and goals has been great and I'm able to see the progress I've made since I started coming to here. They've been accommodating of my rather hectic, and often changing, schedule which has allowed me to stay on track and keep progressing. I'm so glad to have found this wonderful gym and its capable and caring trainers.

I have been a client at Fitness Together for over 7 months now. I can’t stress how Amazing this studio has been!!! All of the Trainers are extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have knee issues and they have developed an incredible program that allows me to do exercises without putting stress on my knee. A matter of fact my knee feels better than it has in months. I have seen results and I’m getting closer and closer to my goals. All of the trainers are very personable. They are also very flexible with my busy schedule. I 100% recommend this studio.

Fitness Together was an amazing change for me, it is a small gym where the personal trainers make time for all their client's needs. The trainers are always finding a way to help me workout with out pain and strengthen my body so I could live pain free. They not only dealt with my physical limitations but also my picky eating habits and dietary restrictions helping me understand the importance of change and finding ways I was comfortable with so I would stick to it. I started working out with Fitness Together about 2 years ago. I had fallen a couple times and had an "intervention" with my family, who felt I needed to get into better shape. I have done that, and have found the experience not only very good but one I really like a lot. The trainers are all great. They are personable, skilled, and caring. Each one takes the trouble to get to know each client individually and each trainer works to put together a comprehensive individual program taking into account client challenges such as arthritis, back problems, etc. The program changes monthly and becomes more challenging as the client is judged ready to move forward. I have also found the other clients to be delightful. FT is a place where one can enjoy the company of others while strengthening their bodies.

When deciding to join a gym I asked myself a few questions: Do I want a personalized workout geared towards my goals or should I get on the treadmill at gym and do a few machines? Do I want trainers that will modify my program based on injuries or should I just figure out what hurts and avoid it? Do I want very small classes where I'm motivated and held accountable or do I want to be in a class of 30 and hope I'm doing the exercises correctly? The answer - I didn't want to be another number at a big gym, I wanted personalized attention. The trainers at Fitness Together make sure I am working towards my goals, modify each exercise to accommodate my injuries and challenge me to push a little harder each time. The atmosphere is warm and friendly but very challenging. In just six weeks, I have gained strength and stamina. I feel healthier and my clothes fit better. If you are thinking about joining a gym call Fitness Together and get one on one attention, you will see results.

They really pay attention so I don’t hurt myself & small classes make that possible. They can make changes to your program on the spot if needed. They really know me. I have been coming to Fitness Together for four times a week for a little over 4 months. Thanks to the training sessions and nutrition guidance, I have lost 40 lbs so far. Not only that, I have gained confidence and stamina, and can do things that I never thought I could do. Kelsey, the manager, does a great job with the nutrition sessions and is very flexible when it comes to scheduling the sessions and making any changes that need to be made to already-scheduled sessions. Shawn, my trainer, does a great job at paying close attention to my form and technique with every exercise that I do. He can tell when I need to be pushed further, or when an exercise needs to be modified because I am struggling. Coming four times a week for 1:1 sessions, each session is different and I value that. Overall, the staff is really attentive to your needs. I had been complaining about some knee pain that I was having for about a week and it had gotten really severe. Kelsey said, "Oh, that's not knee pain, you have a pinched nerve! Let's do some stretches and exercises to work it out." And lo and behold, after about 15 minutes of some massaging and rolling techniques, the pinched nerve went away and the pain stopped immediately (and hasn't been back!). I love that she was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what was causing the problem and how to fix it. I have done personal trainers at gyms before, and have done some boot camp style classes at other places. They don't hold a candle to the staff at Fitness Together. The individualized attention and the knowledge the staff has is well worth the price of the sessions.

Fitness Together is the only gym I have ever stuck with. All of their trainers are friendly, helpful and clearly passionate about what they do. They'll create individual fitness plans for each of their clients that target specific areas you want to work on. Their PACK classes are great. You can work out in a small group setting, but still receive personalized attention. While I wouldn't say I love working out, I do enjoy the time I spend at Fitness Together in Pikesville.

Fitness Together its not a one size fit all service. . The trainers understand your ability, strength , and weakness then cater a program to fit you. This is especially great in group training sessions because we're all at different levels . The trainers are sensitive to your need to accomplish while challenging you at the same time to achieve the goals for your health. Also, I like the nutritional programs because you must have balance with exercising and your eating habits to be completely effective. I love the support and accountability. For the first time in my life I feel like I actually have the ability to work out. I love how tough/ motivating Kelsey is with us. She forces me to push and do better each time. She also makes sure that I’m doing the exercises correctly. She’s very consistent and I’m benefiting from it. Shawn is amazing too. As an avid runner, I have always considered myself in pretty good shape and therefore thought a gym or trainer in my life was completely unnecessary. How wrong I was! I scheduled a session at fitness together on the advice of my horseback riding trainer and was completely hooked after my first visit! The trainers are so caring and genuinely want to see you reach your goals. The workouts are extremely targeted and specific based on individual goals as well as identified weaknesses one may or may not even be aware of (such as balance and core strength in my case). The trainers are extremely personable but they keep you working throughout the whole session and make sure you stay disciplined. I’ve been training here for about 1 year and a half and at 48 years old, I can honestly say that I have never felt stronger or more in shape. Bottom line, these personal trainers offer extremely knowledgeable service, tailor made to whatever needs and goals one might have, whether it be weight loss, getting stronger, balance or age related issues, etc. I would highly highly highly recommend them to all! Coming here was the best decision I have made in a long time!

I had been coming to Fitness Together sporadically with my husband for a few years, but when I retired in March 2016, I made a commitment to finally get in shape and started coming 2 to 3 days a week. I could barely get off the floor when I started and fitness seemed like a distant goal. I love coming to the FT studio because the trainers are so skillful and creative and everyone who goes there is so friendly and supportive. I’ve made lots of new fitness friends there! The trainers change up my exercise routine every few weeks to make sure things stay interesting and that I focus on different parts of my body. They always push me to do my best and continue to challenge me. I am amazed at the transformation of my body since I’ve been coming to FT regularly. Over the past 4 years at FT, I’ve seen remarkable changes in my overall fitness, including weight loss, body fat loss, increased muscle mass and significant increases in my strength. My friends and family constantly remark about my weight loss and how much younger and more fit I look since retiring!! I’ve lost about 30 lbs and gone down 2 sizes. My energy level has soared and I notice my overall fitness is infinitely better, even in every day activities, from carrying groceries to walking up the steep hill near my home without getting winded. I’ve recently added a pack class, once a week to my routine, so I am consistently coming to the studio 4 times a week now. That extra day is helping to make a difference in increasing my muscle mass. I’m also very proud that I finished my first 50 workouts challenge in September-December 2019! I’ve also stepped up my cardio outside the studio with regular workouts on my rower and long walks 4-5 times a week! Thanks to the habits I’ve learned at FT I am the now at my most fit in years!! Thanks FT and to all the trainers there. A big shout out to Kelsey, Makenzie, Ryan, Jaime and Shawn. You are fantastic trainers!!

Never ever being a gym rat I was looking for a solution to help me get over a chronic injury. Since my training began almost a year ago, I've seen a marked improvement in my alignment and core strength, the results of which has alleviated a large percentage of my shoulder discomfort. The one on one training experience gives a focus to detail I would have never realized attempting this by myself. Overall I feel better, more energized, more focused and able to do the other things in life to a greater ability.

My trainer is tuned in and attentive to whether I use proper form, easily able to modify my program if I have an issue going on with some part of my body that I need to rest due to injury, very knowledgeable about anatomy so he can explain things well, and he knows what exercises to use to help me reach my goals.

Update 2/15/23 - I enjoy coming here and working out. FT provides me with a very good base for my fitness journey (the journey never ends). I think all the trainers are great, they know what their doing and do it well. I have been doing the classes (you know, because they're the cheaper option), and now, pretty soon will be exclusively on the 1 on 1's.

Update: It's been a blast but don't get me wrong the workouts are intense! There's noticeable increase in body strength, endurance, focus and self confidence. Whenever I'm hesitant to increase the weight challenge there's always encouragement from my fellow classmates and my trainer.. yelling "Go for it... you got this!" The first workout was awesome being as I entered the room a classmate asked our PT Ryan to change the music playlist to Motown... really?!. hilarious! Did I mention... we began singing along and I started implementing dancing with the exercises of course... sad but true... 🤣😂🙌 I really appreciated the camaraderie between us that helped to reduce any apprehension or anxiety. I'm looking forward to a long and fruitful with Fitness Together.
