Nice small theater on the Columbia campus. Just off the 116th 1 line. Has a range of experimental and traditional offerings. Evening and afternoon shows.

Mostly Columbia-affiliated concerts. Ushers are nice. Balcony has pretty good views, and the theater isn't huge.

Poor acoustics for any kind of classical (or modern) music. Might be better for musical/voice-driven productions. Great student prices though.

I'm a fan of the pop concerts at Miller Theater at Columbia University. They host avante garde musical artists and are free.

It really is a spectacular place for music and art performance lovers. Admissions are decently priced; and students only need $10 to see any performance. The busiest time is Friday afternoon between 1 and 6pm. The theater is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Miller Theatre at Columbia University is one of New York City’s most acclaimed music venues, widely celebrated for its innovative programming and its success building new audiences for the arts. In partnership with Columbia University School of the Arts, Miller is dedicated to producing and presenting unique events, with a focus on contemporary and early music, jazz, chamber opera, and multimedia performances. For over 30 years, Miller Theatre has helped launch the careers of myriad composers and ensembles, serving as an incubator for emerging artists and a champion of those not yet well known in the United States. Miller Theater is accessible. A wheelchair lift, accessible restrooms, and wheelchair seating locations are available on the Orchestra level of Miller Theatre.
