Awesome.. food a little pricey. Over cooked wings.burnt. they went to waste. Concert an the vibe was GREAT. GREAT SECURING THE GROUNDS .THANKS TO THE PHILLYS FINEST AN OTHER SECURITY STAFF. Great venue for a music experience. I'd suggest getting to the Dell at least an hour and a half before showtime; that way you can secure a place to park. Understand this is an outside venue, so nature is everywhere. Bugs flying all over. Prior to the show start there are numerous vendors to get info and freebies from. There is always a drawing done from one of the vendors. Sound system is great and the DJs on hand to get you moving and grooving never disappoint. There a food and drinks offered for purchase at price points of $8 for a miniature bottle of wine and $15 for 32oz can of beer and wine coolers. Food platers are $15 as well. So be sure your funds are there! Again, early arrival is key to get good parking and to avoid long food and bathroom lines.

Fun place to go to listen to music in an outdoors venue. No violence due to an older crowd as well as good security. My husband and just started back going after Covid. Love the atmosphere, and Patti Jackson with DJ Kareo keep it live!!!!

My first time back at The Dell since the pandemic. Saw Ne-Yo and Jagged Edge last night (7/21/22) and reviewed the acts separately elsewhere, so this review is just about the venue. Guests should know that The Dell does not allow bags larger than 4x6 into the amphitheater. Some people that waited in line for awhile were told minutes before doors opened that they needed to return their oversized bags to their cars. Now the bag policy is on The Dell website, but you have to look for it, so I can understand why people were not aware. Perhaps The Dell should put up large signs about the bag policy in locations where people can see them before they get in line or better yet, make people aware of the bag policy when the buy tickets. I did buy food at the venue—chicken fingers, fries, and coke for $20 bucks. Definitely too high for what it was. I’d say eat before you get there if you can. And also know that outside food and drink (including water) is not allowed. Bathrooms were clean and uncrowded but I got there early, so I can imagine there being a wait when the venue fills up. The sound was kind of off and the performers didn’t sound clear. I’ve been to shows at The Dell in the past, and while I’ve had complaints about other things, I’ve always been satisfied with the sound, but unfortunately, not this time. DJ Gary O did his thing as usual keeping the energy up before and between acts. Overall, The Dell is an okay venue. It isn’t perfect but it’s the best place to see classic R&B artists.

Lady B's old school hip-hop at the Dell was really good. My sister and I have been a few times. This year it was Kid & Play, KRS-1, Nice & Smooth, Chubb Rock, Monie Love, Kwame, Big Daddy Kane, and Uncle Luke. Uncle Luke was about to get booed off the stage, too much talking and not enough music.

I attend often during the summer concert series. I would have given 5 stars but I have 4 because they need better crowd control. I purchase my seat with intention. It is so I can have leg room and a great view. Ppl that are seated behind me in less expensive seats are moving up in front of my seat in the walk way to get a better view. I had to ask security to remove the ppl all night long. It’s not fair to us who paid to have good seats. We should be able to enjoy the concert from our seats. Otherwise, always a great time at the Dell. Very clean, great venue.

I always enjoy n look forward for the summer seasons at the Dell. However I've become tire of visiting there for these reasons. I don't mind the prices but seeing the same performers over n over each year is a bet redundant. Also not being able to bring a bottle of water inside is crazy, one water is $3 is a rip off. Unless there are major changes to next year lineup n stop milking us 4 everything I won't be back. My opinion n observation.

I was gifted tickets to a very popular artist venue, so traffic was congested getting in; but the staff promptly managed the flow of patrons, & everyone was comfortably seated to start the concert. It was an old school event, so everyone there was courteous & polite. I did leave disappointed, because it was clear to see that the talent pool involved has reached passed the point of retirement, & should bow-out gracefully. On the way home, I was overall pleased to have attended an open-air event, & pleased with every instance that made it all possible.

The Dell really needs to upgrade. Ticket prices sky rocketing but the venue is unchanged. Definitely need to consider a canopy of some sort for events commencing prior to sunset, as that son is deadly.

The venue was great. It was nice attending a concert in an outdoor venue. A good selection of vendors! Our only wish was that the bag policy was more clear. The website just says “large bags or backpacks” but they were not allowing bags larger than 4x6. As a result, lots of people had to return to their cars, after waiting in line, and come back to the gate. Also, some people used ride sharing apps to get there and had no vehicle to leave their bags in. Perhaps posting the exact size of acceptable bags and/or making lockers available could be helpful.

The dell is awesome I really like the security they perform by checking ladies purse size no more big bags I felt safe the guards were nice and I love the sound system. It's a great place to attend concerts it's not my first time. I love the Dell!!! I didn't eat or drink anything so I can't speak on that. But it looked good.

First time coming to this venue and I was impressed by a few things... wide/ comfortable seats, a good view from where we were (section W row F), the courteous staff and the lights/sound were superb. I will definitely keep this venue in mind for future shows. I will say I was thankful they let us wait out the rain for Isley Brothers in our cars. It seemed to me the show may have been shortened because of the hour long delay BUT I would rather see a fabulous show that was shortened versus needing to come back a later day, pay twice the amount of tolls and gas (if I was even available for the rescheduled date). ***I've read some othere reviews and the complaints of some other people are valid while other are out of the control of the venue, rain dates/handling things differently in summer heat waves for who gets let in first or being rained on as tickets are always rain or shine events, sound level/clarity is not under the Dell's control. Keep that in mind when deciding to come. Long lines are often unavoidable. Food and drinks are usually expensive at these concerts. Tailgaters are a headache if they are taking up prime spots but to stop them before they get parked slows down already long lines of cars.

Please update your bag policy on your website. 12x12x6 and 4x6 are very different. Also the parking pre Covid I was able to park in a lot as mentioned on the website. This time I'm told I have to find parking on the street?? This was very frustrating.

Fantastic venue, fantastic show but security was a little overwhelming, when you have people 40 and over going to an oldies concert... And you won't let grown elderly women bring their purse in? This ain't Tank, Neo, or Guy? Please rethink your security for the 60 to 90 crowd. We only have so many more years and elder abuse ain't the way to go.

Gladys Knight was great as well as the young violinist. I could have lived without the Kenny guy. Dell administration needs to communicate better. Had to walk to the car to return my handbag. Then I was uncomfortable since people saw us putting our handbags in the trunk. They were very disorganized with the giveaways. Patti Jackson tried to clean it up. But it showed. Restrooms were good, even with the crowd they had.

You can't bring in water even on hot days and if you sit down front you have to go to the top for water. Sometimes the sound is not good, there is so much base you can't hear the singer. The disc jockey plays really good music but sometimes it's deftening and you feel it in your chest.

Good to see that he sound great in concert as he does on his albums/singles. His band is phoenomical!! As well as both of his backup singers! All could go solo and do great! Just so you know, The Dell opens at 5:30pm on event evenings. Arrived for a 7pm concert to lines snaking its way to Ridge Avenue. Screening, scanning and entry was slow, long and disorganized. Parking was free and well coordinated by folks in reflective vests and flags. Once finally inside there was sufficient staffing to escort or usher you to your seat. The outdoor amphitheater is a fun venue for concerts and entertainment with lower risk for COVID. Masks not required and the venue was sold out and filled. Didn't review washrooms or concessions but I'm sure they were available.

The venue is ok, but it was a crazy long line just to get in, which wound around the park outside. Because of this, we missed the first performer, and we got there early. I've never had to stand in such a long line outside of the Dell before, and I've been going there for years. It's not like they were doing extensive checks or anything, they didn't do a fever check and people were going in without masks, so I don't know what the hold up was about. It was chaotic and disorganized. I doubt I'll be going back.

It's ok to have I only have to get the Electric the right way in my name there's a problem if the landlord he has to pay for the get it inspected to get a meter outside of the property so that I can have auto electric box be able to read for my own apartment so that I can pay my electric bill and that hasn't happened yet only been 3 days but I'm still waiting it's been since the 31st August and I'm waiting on the landlord that do what's right so that I can get things in the ball game rolling

The sound was good at the center. Bathrooms where easy to get too. My only complaint will be the lines for drinks and eats. They should have people take orders for you, or text orders. With all the technology they could do better. Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

My spot for the summer. Would like to see them open early in the season and extend well into september. Food selection could be better,maybe some pre-made salads and sandwiches. Fried foods are not for everyone. One sealed bottle of water should be allowed,especially on extreme hot days. All in all I stand by the statement"this is my spot for summer concerts. Thanks
