ITS ALIVE!!!!! This theatre is drastically drastically underrated. What Ana amazing cast, production and all around work of art. Just watched “young Frankenstein” and it was hilarious, heartwarming, and hit on so many different levels. I really enjoyed the show tonight. I’ve caught plays on Broadway and off and this has to be up there with NYC. Small gem of a theatre. Looks small on the outside but it’s huge on the inside. Drinks are available. Come for the amazing production. They even do Q&As. You need to catch a show. Don’t think twice. It’s worth it.

I'm reviewing the theater not the show. First, "orchestra" seats are not really what anyone would define as orchestra level seats. Second, since covid hasn't the world learned to use QR codes? They ran out of programs when they could have easily have used a QR code and saved tons of money and paper. Third, they're plenty of parking. However, if you purchase your tickets through a third-party service and must pick them up at will-call, I highly suggest arriving early as the line can be long depending on the show. Lastly, nobody wears masks including the staff. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. They generally almost always sell refreshments.

We came for grease and had such a great time! The performance and set were stellar, the theater was comfortable with roomy seats, and a nice bar with themed cocktails and mocktails. Great ticket prices too! We would totally come back.

Another great play at the La Mirada theater A Few Good Men. I wasn't aware that it was originally written to be a play. So that explains why it's so good. The first half of the play was an hour and 10 minutes I felt like I had been sitting in my chair 15. Moves at quite a pace 10:35 comes around real quick and it starts at 8:00.

Opening night of Young Frankenstein. Sally Struthers, and my daughter went gaga over A.J. Holmes, who played young Dr. Frankenstein. Outstanding seats. The guy next to my son was a little handsy, but he moved after my son gave him a look. Other than that, great, great, great!

You-Earn Respect

I've been a subscriber for a few years and compared to other live performance theatres, I have to list them as #1 for me. They have great season ticket prices for the seat location, free parking, restaurants close by from $ to $$$, seating areas in lounge, patio seating, clean restrooms, extensive lineup of entertainent to meet most everyone's interest. My only negative would be they have no prices posted for drinks or snacks. It's order, and either smile & pay or cringe & pay. I would have given 5 stars but they lost a star for this issue, which is easily corrected.

Great theater. The seats were comfortable and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. We were in the balcony about 5 rows back and we had a great view of the stage. The performance was quite good. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

Went recently with my family..saw The Sound of Music and The Heights. We had a great time! Friendly and helpful theater staff and bartenders. Can't wait to come back for Grease!!

Located in a plaza with plenty of parking and a few fast food restaurants walkable from here (Wendy's, Panera, Habibi (mediterranean)) and some more unique options such as Shabuya (hot pot). So, you can grab some food here prior to catching whatever show they may have here. We caught "In the Heights" that is now playing until June 26. Pretty good musical and was fun to watch. They did a good job with the overall set! A few minor audio issues that were fixed really quickly in the next scene. Other than that, a humble and good theater!

Just the right size venue and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Been here a lot but something changed since the last visit. The bathroom line was so long this time not sure if other bathrooms we're out of order but it's never been like it was that night. The other problem was the air conditioning. We we're in the balcony and every where you looked people were fanning themselves with the program because it was so hot though the whole show.

Just came back from seeing Singin' in the Rain and I loved it. The show and the theatre itself. With 1,251 seats, you're not too far away from the stage or at an awkward angle. Parking is easy. Find a spot anywhere in the lots and that's it. I'm hoping that this is my first of many trips there.

La Mirada Theater for the Performing Arts is a great place to see Broadway caliber shows. After the show we were invited to the after party feception with delicious food and beverages. The best part was the cast mingled with guests and took pictures after the show. Beauty and the Beast was spectacular.

Neal Berg's 50 Years of Rock & Roll, excellent show! We really enjoyed it. Great place for mobility impaired guests. Parking can be tough if it's a full house, so arrive early. The ushers are very helpful and give assistance for checking walkers from your seat & returning to you when needed. Orchestra seats have ample leg room. Beautiful theater I remember as a movie theater from my youth!

The Sound of Music was excellent! Every production I have been to in the past two years we have been able to attend has been outstanding. I will continue to buy season tickets. The talent has been extraordinary. Such a beautiful theater to display so much talent.

We loved it, the venue is small, we were all the way at the top in the balcony and the view was great, they offer excellent discounts for students, children under 12 and seniors. The prices at the concession stand were really affordable (compared to other venues) and parking is free. We will definetly be coming back.

Great theater. Very comfortable, but dont be that monster who puts their bare feet on the chairs. Had a kraut and mustard dog, wasnt ready when we ordered but was promptly delivered to our seats when ready.

I enjoyed the performance on 6/26/22, the only thing I had a problem with is the scene where the flag were being displayed……. There was no American flag. Immigrants come to the USA for a better life. This was not even acknowledged. I hope this is changed for any and all future performances.

Everything about the venue is wonderful. Easy access, free parking, attractive and comfortable inside. Excellent seating. Reasonable prices. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And whenever i call them, they respond very quickly and are knowledgeable. Although the performers are usually not the top Broadway ones, they are almost always very good. I have never been disappointed in about 7-8 years of season tickets. I'm sure that Cathy Rigby's affiliation with it has something to do with that.

La Mirada is always on my to go to list every time I visit California from New York. These last few years I've delighted in all the major improvements I've seen at this very special theatre! From the very diverse show offerings to the new sound system and spacious seating this theater is by far one of the most comfortable I've ever walked into. The concert itself was amazing! The band was as awesome as always so glad they came back. Unfortunately all the people videoing the concert were distracting. And, people wanting to dance should maybe step onto the aisle so they don't block everyone's view. We don't mind the prices, but it would be better if we could ALL enjoy it.

I promise you'll never get a better live theater performance in a theater of that callobare and great price anywhere in Los Angeles! Go on Goldstar for great deals for tickets. I've seen tremendous shows for like 30 bucks in great seats. Go and enjoy live theater again or make it a new experience to be had.

I came to see Beauty and the Beast as part of a special offer I got. I didn't know what to expect in terms of views, so I got a rear middle orchestra seat. When I entered, the whole theatre seems like you could get a good view from just about anywhere. The show itself was very well done: I never saw the original Broadway performance, but compared to the 1991 and 2017 movies I felt that this one filled in some parts that the others missed. The animated feature is still my favorite version, but I'm glad I got to see this one too.

Went for a rocky horror picture show reactment where you could dress up I did Tim curries chacaters make up not too clear in this photo .was a good play there where some racey elements but great acting and really good costumes they looked very close to the movie counter parts in the original. And the cast all seemed cool I didn't talk with any but they mingled with the crowd my auant and I saw was a good early birthday gift.I have autism and sounds hurt my ears the volume wasn't too bad if you have autism and can't take very loud sounds I brought my noise canceling head phones and only needed to use it during the music parts . It's a very nice threater and you get a good view from where ever you sit .

A great intimate venue! So far I have seen 2 shows here and plan to go back! Matinees are a nice time to go if you have an afternoon free. Some shows are more popular than others but very reasonable and friendly staff! Make sure you have your vaccine card with ticket

Excellent theatre that I've been going to for years. The sales associate Alyssa has been a great help to me informing me about all the upcoming shows. She convinced me to get a theater subscription and I've been pleased with the experience ever since. I also appreciate all the safety protocols the theater takes so that we can feel confident attending. During my time at shows I've seen way too many employees be subjected to really abusive behavior for enforcing the theaters mask mandate, and that's honestly unacceptable. I hope the employees know that they are valued and appreciated by its theaters patrons

If you are LA based it is a tough drive. The shows have been mediocre the last year since the last artistic director left. The volunteer are a bit to officious. There is plenty of parking and the best part of most evening at La Mirada is the stop at Taco Bell in the parking lot. Talented actors but not always the most creative creatives. It is hit or miss for me.

Local, easy, high quality. Normally if you want to see a great show, it's drive to Irvine or LA, fight traffic, park half a mile away, pay through the nose. None of that happens here. It makes for such a lovely day.

I've been to this theatre a couple of times, and it hasn't disappointed. The interior is clean and modern with a huge bar downstairs. The seats are spacious and comfortable. Every seat is pretty much a good seat in this intimate theater. There is also a VIP bar area upstairs for special events.

I had a performance here and the venue is great. Plenty of dressing rooms and access to stage. It seems that every seat had a great view of the stage. Very nice lobby area and plenty of parking. Most of the employees were pleasant. One had a bit of an attitude, but overall, great interaction with everyone.

This is a performing arts theater some of the questions didn't quite apply reservations yes you have to have a ticket there are fast food and other businesses in the shopping center every time I have purchased tickets you also get some discounts for some of the eateries in the area.LOVE Theater is Back!!

Update: We came back for the first time since the pandemic broke and watched Mama Mia and I can say, they’re back!!! Health protocols are followed well for everyone’s safety so that’s a plus. This is a medium sized theatre with good seating - no bad seats but the seats are not designed for taller people because they lacked leg support. We’ve been watching shows here regularly for several years and it’s observable that restroom lines are very long (even for men) so perhaps this is something management should plan for. They really bring in great broadway shows for a reasonable price.

This was my first visit to the La Mirada Theater Complex and I'll definitely be back. It was a really nice place. The parking was very convenient to get in and out of. The theater was probably one of the nicest I've been too. Carpeted throughout which makes it nice. It was a small venue and I think every seat was probably a good view. The sound was good and it was easy to navigate during intermission. The restrooms were clean and well stocked and they were big enough that we didn't have long wait times. We will definitely be back. Loved the experience!

This was my third time here and each time was great. The theatre itself is very nice, the seating is very comfortable and it's just small enough to enjoy the show from wherever you're seated. Every play I've seen was great and the actors were extremely talented! The lobby always has an area set up with props from the play showing that evening so you can take pictures. There's snacks and beverages available to purchase. They have non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. You won't be disappointed!

Love how the place is being renewed. Sad about the loss of the dollar theater, but those days are behind us. I say the seats are comfortable. They have the option for Heat and they slightly lift and SLIGHTLY recline. The picture is good. I don't eat at theatres but I get drinks. They have a self serve soda machine, so that's nice. I will say it was warm in the theater. No blankets needed here. But maybe that will change? I will update that if it does.

It has been a while since I went to this theater. They made a lot of improvements! I was very impressed. The seats were amazing comfortable and relaxing. Personally I would not have guessed I was sitting in a movie theater. There is a full fledge bar inside if you like to drink. Overall this is a good theater at a great rate for tickets. The theater itself was not very big in comparison to a lot of other ones that you may find. However for the signs it was very well designed so that pretty much everybody no matter what seat or how far it gets a really decent view of the stage. Acting and betrayal have your favorite characters is by far fun as well as entertaining for any age group. My only complaint is the same complaint that goes to any theater in reality the seats are a little cramped and tight founded together especially in the day and age that we live in where everybody is pretty much obese.

One of my favorite places to take my wife and grandkids for a night out. Has one of the best sound systems for a theater and is not shy to tuning it up to fit the crowds moods. I give them a 10 plus. Their plays and costumes are phenomenal. The musician they have come in like the group(note for note) from Canada are great musicians. And I really enjoyed them.

This theater wins the comfort award. The seats are new and spacious. And the rows are far enough apart so that my 6'3" frame does not feel crowded. I have seen 2 performances so far this season, and both were excellent.

Comfortable seating is a must at any major event, and a dance recital is definitely major. Our daughter performed early and as it stands, we had to wait till the end of the entire program to be able to collect her. Luckily, the seats were padded and comfortable. The sound system was crisp and clear and the room was large enough to seat everyone. While it wasn't expected, the dance studio, (Impact Dance Center) had a well laid out plethora of snacks which the snack bar was able to hold with no problem. Well worth the cost of the ticket. Hope they continue to book this place for future recitals.

I enjoy this theatre a lot. The performance level is always excellent. A few shows could have made better choices in how things are portrayed to be more family friendly without sacrificing the integrity of the show, particulary on shows that are expected to family oriented. But for that, I would have provided 5 stars.

For my first time at this theatre, it wasn't too bad. The facility could have been much cleaner and a bit more organized with the inside ticket purchase, I felt somewhat confused on how to purchase my ticket since the booth stated purchase ticket on the inside. Wasn't aware that I had to purchase from the snack bar. Overall, I had a great experience! I would return again to see more fabulous movies😁

This is a very nice intimate venue. We've been here for both concerts and plays and are always very pleased with the production as well and the little extras the venue has, e.g. photo spot, multiple refreshments stands, ample seating before the show with a homey feel (fireplace, decorations). Staff are friendly and helpful. They have shows for all ages and I recommend this facility for types of productions.

The prices are more than reasonable. The seating is great. They've got a great website that makes it easy to select seats and purchase tickets. The only reason they didn't get five starts is the VERY long line at the concession stand. I would've purchased something, but I was not going to stand in that line. Other than that, it was a great experience.

I really enjoy this theatre every time I'm in town. The seats are comfy. Even when busy it doesn't feel crowded. Screen is pretty good, projector is better than most, and the audio is loud, but not unjustifiably so. I like it. Prices are good. You can get your ticket online so you dont have to wait.

This venue is big enough host top notch talent and small enough provide intimate viewing. The decor has a craftsman/art deco feel, with a fireplace in the waiting area and seating in groups of three or four. It feels like you are attending a show with many close friends! The show we saw was "Lend Me A Tenor" with great singers and spot on comedic timing. The acoustics were superb. They are showing West Side Story soon and I'm sure it will be wonderful.

This theater will surprise you if you haven't been. The theater itself is very inviting. The lobby has plenty of comfortable seating,a fireplace and a bar upstairs and downstairs. The shows I've attended have been on part with productions at Segerstrom and The Panteges. They offer a variety of shows throughout the year ranging from a show like Sod the Science Kid to Les Mis. If you're concerned about the quality of performances yiu will not be disappointed. If you're a La Mirada resident you get a great deal on season tickets.

Live this theater. I have attended a variety of performances, including Symphony concerts, Broadway musicals, and community productions. The Broadway musicals are always top notched, always entertsining. The theater is large enough to host decent events while still maintaining a personal, casual feel. Acoustics are good. La Mirada Theater is my favorite place to see plays and small concerts. I've become very disenchanted in recent years with Southern California's large theaters, concert venues, and professional sports. It has become so expensive to go to, and I haven't even mentioned the parking! The La Mirada Theater is relatively small, great seating, and easy to get into and out of parking. Free parking. They do serve beer and wine before Showtime and during intermissions. It's just a comfortable and safe place to spend an evening. You can check out their website for all their info. But really, there are just not enough restrooms for a building full of mostly older people to get through during intermission, and it's an issue that causes some problems with people returning late to their seats when the second half of the show has started.

Seats are comfortable and the acoustics are great even in the balcony section, where we were seated. Viewing area was/is good from there, too! Also, no food is available, here, but, you can get drinks and cocktails at the lobby bar. There are several fast food places VERY close by, in the same parking lot as the theatre, and an IHOP, too.

I love the quality of the Broadway performances here, but they either need new sound equipment or new sound technicians. It seems like half the shows we see here the sound is fine and the other half the sound is horrible, and when you're seeing musicals sound is everything. But the quality of the productions otherwise is top notch. They just really need to address the sound issue or we're gonna stop going.

Great concert experience. Classic albums always is a great show. An opportunity to hear great albums note for note and then the band come out and play a greatest hit set. Saw Singing in the Rain production last week. Theater is very cozy and small. The seats are elevated so there really isnt a "bad" seat. Sound system was good and I enjoyed the show. Parking lot is huge at the back of the theater. The entrance to the theater is facing Rosecrans street/the hotpot place called Shabuya. Bar was pretty small though.

This theater is such a gem. Tucked away so seamlessly in a shopping center parking lot, yet still bringing Los Angeles quality performances. The inside is spacious, well decorated, and clean. This location does offer a full bar as well a two very large and luxurious bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and there is no real dress code so you never have to feel over/underdressed to go. The only downside to the theater is the parking - it gets really congested leaving the parking lot (but parking is free so that's a plus) If you're up for a good time check out the theater performances online.

I use to come to this theater in the past when it use to be a dollar movie. Now that this theater is renovated the set up is really nice especially the seating. I dont have to climb a millions stairs. Also the seats are comfortable unlike the other amcs..these seats heat up especially when the theater are always freezing cold. Also there is plenty of leg room.

It was my first time here and I saw The Hunchback of Notre Dam and I was very impressed. The lobby is kept so clean and the bartenders are very fast and keep the line moving quickly during intermission. I've been attending place here since I was a kid with my parents.not to give my age away but that was more than 20 years ago. display house has been a consistent mainstay in my family as a place to go to enjoy the cultured diverse activity of taking in a live play. scarcely more expensive than going to a movie theater yet the live nature of a play makes this a much more enriching experience. My parents have had season tickets for years. The productions are always impressively superb. What a big treat for such a small theater. I hope it continues to receive community support for many years to come so that we may all continue to enjoy this beautiful art of live acting.

This theater is an old theater that changed to an AMC. All new inside. Very clean has loungers but they do not lay all the way back, but they have seat warmers. It has never been crowded when we have been there. Staff looks a little bored but they have fresh popcorn and all areas kept stocked and clean. Will keep returning here. It is behind Carl's Jr.

The LA Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts is a nice, lovely theatre, with brand new comfy seats that were just installed about a month ago (which give enough fair and ample pass-by room for someone to get to their seat) a large lobby with comfortable leather armchairs, tufted bench seating, a central concessions bar, a cozy fireplace, and LOTS of free parking. The theatre appears to have a healthy community support of patrons and regulars, and they are truly rewarded with quality programming. Just a 45 minutes to an hour's drive from L.A., the theatre and location lend a nice alternative to dealing with traffic, parking space finding nightmares and the excessive fees related to popular Downtown, Hollywood, or Westside venues.

La Mirada Theatre is an excellent venue in an otherwise arts desert. The productions are top notch and there's not a bad seat in the house. The employees are attentive and knowledgeable. The house is clean. The concessions, while limited, are not outrageously priced. Support the arts, especially independent live theater.

Big improvements since AMC took over this theater. No longer the $2 budget movies, but now they have heated recliners and can reserve seats. Only thing I don't like is that the people at the concession stand also scan tickets when there should be at least one person designated just for tickets.

When things were finacially tough La Mirada Theatre was a place to entertain my children as prices have been much cheaper then a regular theatre and you get to see some of the most recent movies. This theatre was outdated and a bit rundown, but again what do you expect to get for a $4.00 dollar movie. Recently we decided to go back and catch a movie we all wanted to see and to my surprise they have remodel the entire place with new chairs and new movie screens. The place looks amazing although they're still working on some of the remodeling and the price has gone up but still a very nice place to hang around. The staff is friendly and always willing to help answer all your questions. Come by and check them out!

Just saw a night with Janis Joplin. One of the best rock n roll plays ever produced. Leading lady nailed it - knocked the skin right off the ball and sent it way out of the park! Uncanny voice. The movie's are at a good price. I took my whole family and we are 2 adults and 3 kids 7,4,2. We spend 23 dollars to see movie. The prices for the the popcorn and drinks are cheap as well. The only thing is that the theater is a lil dirty and the seats need and up grade. Its a lil on the getto side, but over all we had a good time.

Good selection of popular movies you missed due to horrendous crowds at first-run theaters. Reasonable prices on movies and snacks, so take the family. Large theaters -- you can have an inexpensive date without appearing cheesy! Small restaurants and dessert places in the rest of this "mini outside mall." There's also a grocery store at the end.

This is a free concert offered by the LA Mirada symphony and it was wonderful. There is a presentation by the conductor before the symphony begins which is very informative; he gave information on the composters. Best way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Super venue to enjoy a live performance. There is not any bad seats in house. This is one of my favorites theather lobbies in the Southland. Especially in the winter time when it's cool and they have the fireplace roaring. The only downside I have is that sometimes the ushers can be a bit over the top with their so-called power. We affectionately call them Usher- Nazis behind their backs.

Went to see a production of Beauty and the Beast. Orchestra and cast were great though production value was not as good as Broadway, which is to be expected. However for a revew of the venue itself, 3 stars as sound was an issue. I sat in the orchestra section 8n front of one of the large ceiling speakers but there seemed to be constant crackling from the speajers that was very distracting. In addition, the sound crew seemed to be constantly adjusting volumes through the show as lines will suddenly be read very loud and then brought down. It was hard to appreciate the ensemble because their voices were drowned out by low fidelity sound from the soloists. For a musical, having bad sound was a definite killer. It is a small theater with ample parking, but in an inconvenient location and lacking acoustics. Would avoid.

Beautiful set up.. looks like it could handle massive crowds for any large events, best part after your purchases for food, candy or drinks from the concession stands , you wont be held up waiting in one line to get butter for your popcorn or fill a drink, those areas for those task are separated indivually and extremely clean.. OK there is one draw back....but nothing bad . I find if you suffer from any disability from walking or standing or have trouble of catching ones breath Over normal or small Movements Or Struggle The Slightest To Catch Ones breath.... This theater where you will sit to view your film is a Extremely great distance from the Concession Stand ...so try and be kind and offer to hold all objects, plan way ahead of time if you come here , encourage with respect to Please bring that walker/ ??Any Assistance Your Party May Need To Deal With this issue. I wished they had mentioned that on here prior when visiting. Tip: have your party sit near openings to theater while you run the task of standing in line, purchasing, collecting and filling your goodies , feel free to always ask for help .I see a full staff ...enjoy your visit here i did!

What an extraordinary evening we had as lifelong Beatles fans. The place was packed out and the venue is very intimate. Our first time there but we'll certainly come back for other shows. Bob Eubanks hosted along with the tribute band "Ticket to Ride" both are class acts. Behind the scenes stories were revealed about how Mr Eubanks became the promoter of all 3 shows from the Beatles. It cost a whopping $25K for the Hollywood Bowl for their first concert since they were "unknown" at the time. His profit after all cost were paid was only $1000 (true story). Much more info was revealed about how crazy it became to make it all happen. Especially since they exploded in popularity it became a circus. Mr Eubanks and the group had a "meet and greet" after the show. Truly an enjoyable experience and highly recommended. 👍

The Christmas production was lovely, so was the inside of the theater, but there isn't much anything else if you come slightly early and the doors open like 15 minutes before opening time, so either it's wait outside or sit in your car. No restaurant or lounge with bat snacks to keep people busy.

Parking in front which is near the box office is not obvious. No food allowed in theatre, drinks OK. Snacks and beverages sold in lobby. Rows are very long so if you have a seat in the middle, you'll be stepping over people.
