Reviews of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre

This place is absolutely amazing!! What an incredible experience!! This was my first time there and it was so wonderful! The food was excellent! The service was excellent! The play was outstanding! We got to see It's a wonderful life and what a treat of fantastic theater production! Enjoyed every moment of this experience!

It's always a wonderful experience attending a show at Beef & Boards. The staff is top notch the atmosphere is beautiful and the shows always deliver. Buy your tickets early as these great shows sell out fast!
Darrion McAlister
I really can’t believe I haven’t been here before. My high school choir teacher took students all the time and I truly missed out!
To start, the layout of the venue was well thought. The food here was delicious! I was expecting the food to be good, but not as tasty as it was!
Kinky Boots is the show I went and saw and the cast was incredible! I hadn’t heard of this musical before and hadn’t seen the movie, but the cast made me want to watch it!
Ellen Moore
We were not terribly impressed. Based on the reviews, we expected a better performance but were disappointed.
It was also our first time seeing the show we saw, and the performance was not great. I wouldn't recommend seeing a show there for your first time. If you already know the show, enjoy it and don't need it to impress you, see it here.
We sat with a couple who has been seeing shows here for years, and they obviously thoroughly enjoy the experience. 🤷🏼♀️
Jes Walker
The food was really good, the play was so much fun, the people who work there are so nice! Only complaint is the chairs! They were not comfortable for 5+ hour of sitting. Otherwise, wonderful experience!

Beef and Boards dinner theater in Indianapolis Northwest side just next to the pyramids is a cute theater that offers buffet style eating. The service was great and the show was entertaining. Where they could improve is the buffet...... The food was not that great and I even joked with my wife that golden corral was better.
Isaac Tierney
Beef and Boards has consistently exceeded my expectations. The shows are outstanding and the staff is always so polite. I’ve always liked my meals, but I noticed a few reviews saying their food wasn’t very good. As of early 2022, they have a new head chef, and everyone I’ve talked to says they LOVED the food and that there was a noticeable difference! I can’t wait to return and try it for myself.
I can’t recommend Beef and Boards enough!

Beef & Boards is a Dinner Theater located on the north side of Indianapolis. It has been around for many years providing great value and entertainment to many generations.
Last night was our first time back since the COVID-19 outbreak. We were not disappointed! We enjoyed "The Sound of Music" immensely! The production, lighting and actors and actresses were very, very good!
Our dinner, dessert, drinks and Server were fantastic! Thanks for taking care of us Heather! You were great and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for suggesting the California Red Rock wine!
We are scheduled already for "The Phantom of the Opera" in November and looking at the Christmas showtimes as well!
I would highly recommend Beef and Boards to anyone as it is great evening for young (minimum age 3) and old and one of the best entertainment values in Indianapolis area! Thanks again for a great time!

Dinner and a show! Arrive to have dinner(or lunch) served buffet style. They options change depending on the show so look online to see the menu. Usually two or three main entrees. A few side options to go with them. They will also have a salad bar and a few small things such as pudding and fruit. They usually give two hours to eat and then they put the food up so that you can watch the show. They have waiters that will bring you drinks. Water, lemonade and tea are included with the purchase. Refills were fast. You may order a dessert that will come at intermission. Just a great place. The performance of Mary Poppins was great and the food was just as good.
Deborah Rushton
"A Wonderful Life" exceeded my expectations and was truly enjoyed by our family. Logan Moore gave the audience the "George Bailey" we love. All the performers did an amazing job with their characters. Well deserved applause for cast and set design too. The buffet was plentiful and delicious with roast beef, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. Thank you also to the waiters. A Christmas show to see with your family or friends that gives so much joy and hope.

Very amazing, this was my second time visiting!
First time we watched Hello Dolly, very delicious meal and great performance, near perfect service.
This last time we watched Clue, very funny, enjoyed it immensely! Food was delicious! Steak was a little tough but that's probably due to my preference of well done.
Very recommended for date, family occasions, anniversary or any of the sort!

It’s great to be back in the theatre! I’ve been going to Beef and Boards since 1999 and it never disappoints. I’ve seen many shows here and although it isn’t Broadway, as our Indianapolis community theatre, it is fantastic. My only criticism is that the buffet choices in this dinner remain the same after all these years. It would be nice to have another variety of choices. However, I will still come back here time and time again.
Felicia Wilson
14 year old Daughter absolutely loved seeing Phatom of the Opera on Halloween! The production was great and the service was great! They had things I could eat but not much for my Plain Jane Daughter's pallet to eat. Food was good for myself . Your Tea, Water and Coffee was included. My daughter had tears when Phantom died. Job well done lol! Great time for myself and family.
Colin Sievers
Food was pretty good, but what really shines in the plays themselves.
You can tell these actors and actresses put their soul into the work they do
Then you have to talk about the wait staff. Our waitress was the most kind woman. Funny, attentive.
Overall, it was a lovely experience
Emily Kello
We came to see it's a wonderful life but The food service was not so great. The play was wonderful but it took forever to get anything or refills for drinks... And then on top of it they say they don't carry any steak sauce. Well why do you have roast beef in no sauce? So if you like anything on your meat, you should bring your own steak sauce...
Hobiwan Kinobi
The food is pretty good here bordering on incredible for buffet food. The service is impeccable. The shows are a lot of fun. I want to make it a mission in my life to come back more often. I just wish it wasn't quite as expensive as it was. But it is an experience for sure. A lot of fun
dana mahoney
Great atmosphere and service! The food is pretty good, especially for a buffet style. Ice cream dessert was hard because it was so cold but very good. Play was entertaining and well done. It's a good night out!
Kim Wentworth
The show was very entertaining, handicap accommodations were very well thought out and the staff was courteous and professional . The food fell short, I wasn’t impressed at all. No vegetarian main dish on buffet. Bbq Chicken ,roast beef or catfish were your main dish choices.. a pasta dish would have been nice to have on buffet , rolls were hard and pudding was only desert on the buffet to choose from. The chairs became uncomfortable , a booth choice would have been wonderful for seating at a two hour show with elderly parents with me. I would definitely recommend to friends but know ahead of time seating and food quality and choices are not the best
Alex Ross
Dinner and a show. If the food were any good, it would be amazing! But it's still pretty fun, despite having bad food.
And by bad food, I mean powdered mashed potatoes, melted American cheese over broccoli, salad that each leaf looks like it has been in the fridge for a month too long... Plenty of other terrible tasting things, but I'm not here to vomit. Just word vomit.
I WOULD go again. I would NOT eat from the buffet again. I'll stuff myself beforehand and get there as the buffet closes. Waste of money? Maybe. Will I enjoy myself more? Definitely.
I have to make it known, I'm from California where the peaches are fresh picked a couple days ago, not Indiana where they come in by train and the grocery store only has month old supply. I'm pretty picky about my food and prefer not to eat casserole every day, which seems like the only thing people here are capable of making. Along with fast food and things doused in gravy.
Calise Youngblood
Amazing experience with family ❤️🎭. Highly recommend for a great night out with friends and family💙.

I had an amazing time here!!! Saw "Its A Wonderful Life" this past December. The food was great, better than I expected, and plenty of it. I had the cheesecake for dessert, and it was delicious. The show, though??? 10 stars!!! The acting was fabulous, and the set was amazing! I loved that they included digital elements. I think it made the production even more immersive. I thought the actors were all incredibly talented, and I loved the main actor sounding like Jimmy Stewart. First, super talented, and second, I think that was probably a big risk, and it paid off in spades. I can't wait to go back!!!
Ryan Hicks
The food was dry and cold. The options for a buffet should have been more and witch was closed prior to the schedule.
The spacing from table to table was tight and kept getting hit from the people behind us. Another person was so far out my kids could not turn sideways to see the show.
Our waitress was amazing though.
Myron Rahn
This was my first time at B&B. I want to start out by saying The Addams Family show was amazing. From the main performers to the chorus, everyone was fantastic.
The good:
- The busboys were fantastic. They came by probably every 5 minutes.
- The facility is great. Short lines (if any) at the buffet and restroom.
- Box office people were helpful and knowledgeable.
The bad:
- The food. In addition to bread and the salad bar (both were fine), the menu was the following: steamed cauliflower, steamed asparagus, spaghetti with marinara, baked catfish, pesto risotto, chicken stew, and slow roasted beef. Veggies had no seasoning.
You think I mean not enough seasoning…I mean not a single pinch of salt. I didn’t eat the spaghetti, but our daughters said it was “ok but cold.” The pesto risotto was not risotto. It was mushy rice that didn’t taste like pesto and was also under seasoned. There weren’t bowls for the chicken stew. It looked good, but I didn’t want it to spread around the entire plate….you know….because IT’S A STEW. Finally, the beef was “ok.” It wasn’t prime rib. It was basically pot roast, which I usually love. Thankfully they had horseradish to go with it.
- The Service. Our server said hello and took our drink orders. We didn’t see him for another 45 minutes, including no refills. We didn’t know about desserts because he never mentioned them. I saw other servers and they were on the ball. I said something about it, and a VIP member next to us commented that they’ve been there many times…and they’ve never had service as bad as this.
My wife and I wanted to join the VIP membership, but we decided not to. If the food improves, we definitely will. If the manager/owner sees this, you provide top notch entertainment, but you may want to rethink whomever is running the kitchen. They are phoning it in. Buffet food can be good; it can be something you can be proud of. Unfortunately, the food currently served is neither.
Jim Lahr
Saw the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville musical here. It is since finished it's run but it was a good show. Servers are attentive and friendly. The food buffet was very good, we had different meals from each person at our table and everyone commented that it was well prepared. They also serve cocktails, beer and wine. Cocktails are themed with whatever the show is during that run. Prices are very reasonable for dinner and a show.
Rick Truhol (Pirate Rick)
Good time. Escape to Margaritaville was great. Dinner was good. Fun time with friends.
Cheryl Kuropas
Fun dinner show. We saw Escape to Margaritaville and ate dinner. The food was plentiful, and the service was friendly. Great value! The parking isn't the best, and it is a tad cramped in the theater, bit that is to be expected.
Peter Sanders
Attended many shows here over many years. Always a good time! Shows are consistently entertaining and well executed. Rarely a complaint about the buffet. And the people are wonderful. This is a diamond on Indy's northwest side.
Tom Edwards
We did dinner and a play and it was fantastic! We saw CLUE, the performances were great! This was alsothe New Year's Eve live music celebration so we kept off tonight with a fantastic New Year's Eve party! Thank you Beef and Boards!
Melinda Bryant
I have been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. They only thing I think could be improved is how they serve the Roast beef it is there signature dish it is always on the menu and it is really good. They do not serve it with Gravy and it can get really dry so I wo t be getting that next time. We were also served carrots that although they had a great taste they could have been cooked longer. Everytime I have been they never served gravy with the roast beef.
Madeline Couch
Saw It’s a wonderful Life Sunday night 11/27 and show was awesome! All characters were well cast and acting was great but George stood out, professional and extremely talented!
Michael Shackelford
The staff was great the power went out for about 10 minuts. The food menu was sub par. No potatoes in any form. The fish was fair. Too much lemon/pepper seasoning. For 70.00 each I wanted more tasty selections.
Joshua Bailey
My wife and I went and saw The Adam's family. The show was amazing. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed. She took our drink order, brought us our drinks. We didn't get another soda for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Mike Schmidt
The food was great, the buffet was excellent. Our only problem was we didn't have a sugar container and had to borrow one from another table. The part was first rate, it couldn't have been better. The actors were great.
Paula Dewbrew
The show was amazing. The food was delicious really great taste great selection our host was amazing. My daughter and granddaughter had a great time. Thank you
Nella Hoover
The performance was fantastic! Buffet was delicious and service was great. A great experience for all. Great time had by all!
Tom Coons
As an avid Jimmy Buffett fan I saw “Escape to Margaritaville” and was not disappointed with the show.
However, while the sides and desserts were on point, the beef, pork and fish tasted like they weren’t seasoned at all during preparation.
Will definitely recommend and return for other shows!!!
Brenda Warner
Been coming to Beef & Boards for years! The food tonight was absolutely nasty & cold. We were the first in line. Heard they had changed chefs! By God they better get the old chef back! At least the food was half edible! The food they had was cheap food, bland & no flavor.
The show was okay. They have raised the VIP prices as well as the show prices for 2023. We live on a fixed income & it is tough already trying to live. We come a long distance to come to this show! Signed up for 2023 but we may drop this place the next year. Really taking the joy of coming out of us!
Cecilia Watson
Play was very good but food terrible! Beef was tasteless …. No potatoes… chicken stew was a mess! Desserts had to be bought for extra 6.50… will not be returning.
Kody Manley
I went for the first time to the matinee of A Christmas Carol. The stage is really clever and the cast was phenomenal. The buffet was limited and it can be a bit crowded but I'm glad I went.
Peter Knight
Loved the experience! Good food and a great production of A Christmas Carol!! Production quality was first class and such acting talent! Wonderful.
Gary McLemore
Service was awesome.
The show was excellent.
The only constructive criticism is that the seating is so tight that you can't properly enjoy the meal.
MaryBeth Caviness
Awesome for Date Night, a Family Outing or Gathering with Friends!
Darrel Trexler
Food was good. Roast beef at the end of one serving line was well done and tough to end. The roast beef at the end of the other line was perfect (tender and juicy).
The show (Clue) was amazing and funny with talented actors.
Katie Oliver
Amazing, took my in laws there for a Christmas present. We saw clue! The dinner was amazing with several good options! Very friendly staff! The play was good with several funny parts. will definitely be returning!
Larry Walters
Wonderful buffet with new chef with gluten free options. The productions are first rate! Good mix of humor, singing, dancing and dialog from today and yesterday's musicals and plays.
Eric Turner
This is a wonderful experience for a couple or family. The food was very good and the show was excellent. Worth every penny.
Steve Wendt
Fun night, great show!! Food and service were excellent!! We had such a good night watching "It's a Wonderful Life "!!
Carol Reynolds
Very fun evening with better food than the last time I was there. The show was hilarious!
Jae Franklin
Truly great performance and staff. However, I was disappointed because the dinner options was less appealing than expected, but the roast beef made up for it.
Michele Craig
My husband & I attended the "It's a Wonderful Life" performance. We enjoyed our visit very much!
S Hou
Loved the food and the show. People are seated really close together which makes it a little uncomfortable but it is so much fun that I'm willing to overlook that and I hope to go again sometime.
Robert Killigrew
Buffet was very good and the show (Escape to Margaritaville) was excellent. Covering a lot of Jimmy Buffet's songs, the performance didn't disappoint.
Annastacia Davis
It is a fun place but the food is mediocre at best. Some performances are better than others but over all good experience.
Roxann Silver
This place was great a little close for comfort to other tables & there's a hole where people can put there feet through on the wall & touch with me there feet. But otherwise the rest was great
Lori Summer
Went to buffet and to see A Christmas Carol. Excellent show that these fine actors put on. Scrooge knocked it out of the park!
Karri Woodard
Great service, good food, great atmosphere!! Had a really nice time but the seating was just a little to close
Chris Coleman
Nice place to see a play. Food was ok but nothing that will knock your socks off. The servers were very friendly.
chris couse
I gave a 5 star purely for the experience. The service was great, the show was great as well, but the food was less than desireable.
Ashley Brooks
The food was delicious. The show was incredible!!!! We will be back!!!
BA Bernier
We have been here several times now. This is the best run dinner theatre we have been to by far. Never been disappointed the buffet is always top notch with food choices and the quality is always been well above average. The service staff has always been outstanding, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to any one .
Chuck Cunningham
Staff is great and service was great, food was subpar for the money, several stems in the greenbeans, meat not seasoned well enough and seemed tough.
Jon Adams
We went for the Mary Poppins showing and the performance was great. The actors had great chemistry and the musical bits were well executed.
The food was great also. There's normally a pretty good selection of salad, chicken, beef, Mac and cheese, corn, and I think salmon. Our waitress did a great job of checking on us regularly.
S Piper
First time here, loved the show, food was good, they also had a decent dessert and drink menu, we will definitely be back.
Joshua Hoagland
Very entertaining. The food was pretty good. The seating is a little cramped
Krista Stults
Such a great place! Never had a bad experience. Good food and awesome theatre! Photos from Newsies and Phantom.
Chloe Jones
I saw a Christmas Carol and it was amazing! The food was surprisingly good and the show was incredible. The actors were on point.
Terrance Sullivan
Their web site was very hard to vavigate. Almost impossible. The entertainment was good. The food was average and the chairs were old and hard. The lines for restroom were very long. Probably won't return. Beef and Boards is a fun place but isn't worth the price. Couples will get seated with strangers.
Connie Gorrell
We went to Beef & Boards to celebrate anniversary. The food was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. What ruined it for us was the way we were severely cramped for space. They had the tables shoved in so tight that there was no where to go, especially when the people we were crammed in with wouldn't scoot in enough for us to move. I spent most of the time with my chest crushed into the table. In times of a still active pandemic I can't believe they wouldn't have spread the tables out enough for each person to sit more comfortably. There were empty tables at the end of our row that could have been removed to give everyone more breathing room.
amanda mick
Best musical theatre show in Indianapolis! The cast for Grease was amazing, the food was delicious and the staff very kind and on it the entire night! Thank you for the wonderful experience on our 13th wedding anniversary!
Rose Lyttle
We have attended several times. Never disappointed. Chef prepared food is delicious and wait staff friendly and efficient.
Shows are very worth while.
Jenny Deputy
Just watched Escape to Margaritaville. Such a fun, lighthearted show!
The food this time was tasty with a bit of island flair.
Lori was our server. She was friendly, personable and fun!
Looking forward to Addams Family!
Jan Repp
Food was good but nothing to brag about. Show was excellent. I hadn't been in a while. Desserts used to come with the meal. But service was TOP NOTCH!
Aj “Marine gunner” t
Absolutely amazing! I've been going to beef and boards since I was a kid. Have seen a Christmas Carol, cats, grease, and many more. Had the privilage of taking my wife to see Mary Poppins yesterday as she has never been. It was incredible. The food was great and the show even better. I have not once had a bad experience at beef and boards and looking forward to seeing the Adam's family in October.
Kevin N
Took my mother and sister for their first experience at Beef & Boards. They had a blast as we watched Elf The Musical after dining on an excellent buffet. The desserts were awesome as well. Planning on attending frequently from this point on!
Betty Friskey
The show was awesome. The food was really good. The employees were helpful and friendly. A very fun time of enjoying and getting away from everyday issues. A little expensive but worth it ❤
Adrian Dunn
Great and friendly staff and the food is excellent and the show is always amazing. Well worth the money.
Dawn “NotAboutTheHustle”
We went here for our work holiday gathering. Servers were great and the food was even better than I expected. The show 'Elf the Musical', was well planned. So, If you have any reservations about going, don't hesitate. You will like it.
Jason Vachon
Saw the Little Mermaid. Very good show with the performers really giving it their all. The food is just average buffet style food. Drinks are not all the great. Great for family's or date night.
Jack Phillips
We had a great time, the show was very fun. The backdrop seemed minimal, but the wire work as well as the orchestra really made up for it. The costumes were so well thought out. The meal was good and we look forward to a return visit. I will purchase a table that faces the stage next time.
R.J. Bodkin
Good food and great show. The Deserts left a little to be desired. 2 of ours were frozen in the middle and they were torts.....
Gene and Becky Parsley
These food was really good. The restaurant is very clean. Make sure to get there early as the buffet is quickly taken down when it's time. The play was very good and the actors did a great job.
K. Alan Marohn
First time there, everything thing was great, the food, the servers, the bussers and the performers, highly recommend checking it out if there's a performance on your bucket list.
david walker
Amazing food. The Christmas show was great. From the performers to the orchestra to the servers were awesome and very talented
Mike Stickford
Food was good. Show and service was great. Will be seeing more shows next year.
shirley cooley
Saw The Addams Family. Great musical and cast. Only thing was missing was Gomez didn't have a cigar at all.
Shalyse Ti
This place is great! I've been twice now and both the food and show were good.
Virginia Ireland
We've been to so many shows here. Fantastic buffet. Amazing shows.
John Johnson
What a wonderful local theatre this is. I’m so glad that Covid didn’t shut it down. It is a great value for the money. They clearly invest most of their budget in the performers and the performances, which is great. The standard of performance from my perspective is very high.
The food is like a buffet from the 1970s, and they seem to purposely exclude desserts from it so that people will buy them. Also, Service can be a bit lax in terms of water and coffee refills etc. But that is all part of a retro musical theater experience, which you won’t find many places these days. The house is usually packed, and it is a wonderful local institution. I hope that they never go out of business.
Lisa Ochoa
I have been there about 4-5 times before and have always had an enjoyable time! The staff is very friendly and attentative. There was one time that I didn't receive a refill during my meal, but it was only one time. The food is delicious and they put on a good show! I just recently saw Kinky Boots and was thoroughly entertained! Lots of laughs! Would definitely recommend going to a show!
Char Dunlap
It was our first time there. We saw The Addams Family and it was fun. We had a great time.
T Johnson
We enjoyed the show. The food was not good. All the food was bland and the pasta tasted like it was microwaved too long. It really should be a cheaper ticket which we opt out of eating there.
Denise A. Loomis
We went to see Mary Poppins, and it was awesome!
Prices vary according to the location of your seat.
Food for this mattiné was served buffet style. Variety of food served was good (ESPECIALLY the beef carved to your order)!
Wait staff was prompt very cordial.
Contact them for upcoming shows-there are some really good ones!
If you are a fan of Broadway or like musicals, this is the place to go! Loved it!
Tiera Aubrey
This was my 1st time at Beef & Boards and we saw The Little Mermaid. It was AMAZING! The vocal & dance/acrobatic talent were mind-blowing! The costumes were clever and beautiful. I even enjoyed the new songs & small story changes. I'm definitely purchasing a VIP pass for next year!!!
Cina Fitzpatrick
The food was good and the service was great! The play had great actors and entertainment, however it was not the show for me. It was my birthday and I was excited, however the show was very misleading!! Kinky boots didnt mention anything in the bio about it being a drag queen show. No offense to the great actors but that was.not my type of show. We ended up leaving at the intermission. Please be more specific in the bio so that people know what they are paying for. Thank you kindly!
Fuego Frio
This place is not a very large venue so almost all the seats have a good view. The food was good and the service was great. Plenty of parking space. The cost of the entrance tickets include buffet, coffee, tea, lemonade water or coffee. Alcoholic drinks and or fountain drinks are paid separately. Desserts available also at an extra cost. Overall I had a great experience here.
Joe Bowen
Great staff awesome entertainment above average food.
Ben Wilson
Wonderful place! Food was great! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond. The shows are fun and exciting, well performed with great actors! Definitely will go again!
Bob Nattermann
The meal was great. We thought the Mary Poppins was the best show we had seen at Beef and Boards! The singing and choreography were fantastic.
Patrick Weaver
The show (Hello Dolly) was absolutely amazing! However our server Shelby was not very kind to a guest in my party. Another server Maria did do her best to pick up Shelby's slack & it was very much appreciated. Despite the lackluster service I will most definitely return!
Holly Hudson
I must start off by saying the show was quality. The 11 year olds we took enjoyed it. The stage slides out so everyone cannsee and the characters even interact with the audience on occassion. However, this show comes with a buffet. The food was average and dessert was extra. What bothered me the most was that there was no direction from our server. We heard a server at another table offer coffee, tea, lemonade, or water; our offered water. She did not point out the wine list or dessert menu. Our coffee cups were removed swiftly. The bus staff were amazing.
Amanda Baker
Food was very good! Play was amazing! Saw A Christmas Carol and loved every min.
robert ray
The best place for a Broadway show and and the best healthiest buffet that you'll ever find at the beef and board!
Scott Tillett
Went with my daughter to see Cat in the Hat as part of their daytime kid shows and she absolutely loved it. The characters also came around afterwards and signed autographs. The performance was great, the cast did a fantastic job. The show was fairly short - I think about an hour for the whole thing, so it is easier for little ones to sit through than a full length movie. Would definitely go again.
Grandma V
I have been to many dinner theatre shows, but this is the 1st time here. I was impressed. The tables were very nicely laid out where everyone has a good view. The staff was amazing we literally had three people waiting on us the entire time. The actors & their singing was up there with the high-end Broadway shows. The restrooms were the cleanest ones I've ever seen and very fancy sinks they had glass bowls! The food was pretty good and very very good for a buffet. If I lived close I would literally go to every single show they had!! I highly recommend if you like a dinner theater you give this place a shot.
Keith F
Dessert, drinks, and the staff were absolutely divine... buffet was a bit to be desired, as the food was a bit bland like "nursing home food", and the meat was cold. Overall experience was good, I will certainly make a return trip.
Shane Seabourn
My wife and I saw The Christmas Carol and loved it. We enjoyed the whole experience.
Traci Yarber
We bought our tickets online and it didn't say anything about getting there early for dinner. So our server did get us a plate. But, was disappointed on that.
denise walton
It was great had a great time last week with the neighbors. Always loved going to Beef and Broads they do an awesome job and their Always very nice. Love it. And the show was fantastic I give it 2 thumbs up and 5 stars .
Kris Nichols
Have always loved going here for the shows. Server was excellent and very attentive. I am giving 4 stars because the food continues to be mediocre at best. Had salad that already had dressing on it so the croutons were soggy. In my opinion the food has always been bland and there are not enough choices suitable for kids. Meat was tough. Took one bite of the green beans and no more. Will always return for the shows, but sure wish the food was better!
Julie Pichon
Beef & Boards Dinner Theater is BACK!!! There was a full crowd to see Hello Dolly. The show was great, as usual. Suzanne Stark is a natural Dolly Levi. We had extreme side seats and I was worried that it would affect our view of the show, but the stage comes out so far that it was still good. The food has definitely gone up a level thanks to the new chef. So glad that Beef & Boards survived the pandemic!
Dale Lindley
We've been a Beef & Boards VIP for many years, but this was the first year we've gone to their Christmas program. Excellent show! Loved the variety of Christmas music. The singers, dancers, and orchestra were outstanding. Michael Ray Fisher's moving rendition of O Holy Night is not to be missed. Great way to celebrate the holiday season.

Just saw the Beef and Boards Christmas Show and it was excellent. I’m giving it five stars for the show and the establishment. I purchased tickets for my family, my son and his fiancé. They have a 5 month old child and I didn’t read the print that stated you need to be older than three to see the show. The manager was the best. Not only did he reimburse me their tickets, but he allowed them to stay and eat dinner with us before the show. Class act all the way. I’ve seen many shows here, but after tonight they have cemented a recurring customer.
Kojo Turner
Beef and boards is amazing, first time there and so far so good I have no complaints about it food is great show was fantastic. I look forward to coming back and having another good time.
P.S.
The staff dies a phenomenal job, aways friendly and professional they are the Bomb.com

Saw the matinee showing of Phantom today; probably the best show I've seen there. The whole cast is very talented. The singing was impressive. Logan Moore did an excellent job! His beautiful voice and demeanor brought so much to the character. I shed a few tears at the end. I loved Courtney Cheatham's voice and Suzanne Stark's portrayal of Carlotta. Food was good and wait staff was excellent. A good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Can't wait to find out what's playing next season!
Robb Rheinlander
I just enjoyed my 1st show at Beef & Boards on Tuesday for Phantom of the Opera on a 2nd date with a woman who had never been as well. We both left saying how impressed we were with the show and how we would definitely like to come back.
The food was as good or better than you would expect from a buffet experience. The service was fantastic.
As to the talent in the show we saw, Christine and the Phantom were really good with supporting characters like Carlotta holding their own very well.
Was a really enjoyable night and I will for sure be joining them again next season!
David Culley
Just saw "Phantom" here last night with family. I have been coming to probably one show per year for the last 20-25 years. Beef and Boards is always a great experience. I enjoy the buffet food and I thought the service was excellent as well. Someone was always coming around to clear off plates, refill drinks, etc. I can't wait to return!
Winding Creek Ranch
This is one of our favorite places! The shows are great and it's a fun date night for my husband and I. We try to take our kids to at least one show each year. FYI...we are in our 40's and have teenagers. Plus, you get a meal too! We've been VIP members for several years now. Thankful for this gem of a place!! 😊 …
Shellie Brown
We spent our first wedding anniversary here. What a great experience. Staff was friendly and the show was amazing 🤩 Food was delicious 😋 We will definitely be back soon! …
Jeanie Scharbrough
Love this place been here several times never seen a bad act, food is great every time and staffing so kind. My last adventure was for my birthday celebration. My husband and I saw Saturday night fever! Awesome
Steve Oreilley
Great place for live entertainment and respectable food.
Julianna Dragoo
My husband and I went to see The Sound of Music. It was fantastic!!! The performers have the most amazing voices that blow you away. The food isn't bad- I was glad to see the buffet open! We also thought the performers were going to be wearing masks- which was questionable. But, they only wore masks when the children were in the scenes- which was great! They are see-through and barely noticeable. I would recommend to any one. We bought tickets to Phantom of the Opera in the fall that same night!
Lucinda Anders
Have been several times allways good entertainment . And good food
Lori Thornell
Had a great time with my mom..we seen the musical "ghost".. great food, good entertainment
Stanisha Fortson
My first visit, I Had an Awesome Time 🙂
Tammy Christian
My husband & I always enjoy an evening at Beef and Boards. Everyone is so kind & friendly. It is just a all-around good time. We recently saw "Sheer Madness". What a funny interactive performance. All was going well until one of the performers added his "political" opinion into a scene. In this time of craziness, hatred and uncertainty within and for our future "questionable" democracy...one night of non-existent political opinions would of been a nice and much needed escape. Overall, the staff, service and performers went above and beyond, as usual, to provide a pleasant evening.
Hailey Fuller
The box office customer service is outstanding. I reached out via email inquiring what the transfer fee would be to change to a different night. I received a quick response with the answer and was also informed that a table was held for the night that I wanted to transfer to while they awaited my response. They made the process quick and easy for me.
Angela Lasley
The shows are always good and the food is good.
James Robertson
The waiter wasn't very tentive but besides that it was an unforgettable experience. Quality buffet food. Some of the best cheesecake you've ever had and the entertainment was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back next year.
Judy Carnahan
Everything pretty much back to normal. Buffet is open, full capacity seating and food is great. Masks are preferred when walking around but not mandated at this point. The show was "Phantom". Great performances by the cast. 10/22/2021.
Lorraine Tipton
Saw Clue. Enjoyed the show. Was guest of season ticket holder.
Janissa Wells
Food was okay, but the service and show were amazing!!
Daniel VanHoosier
Buffet was typical buffet fare. The show was good as always. Service staff did a great job.
jd miller
Food was most excellent. Enjoyable experience all around. Plan on coming back soon

Excellent service, great show! We love this place!
Jenny Burris
It's a Winderful Life is an outstanding production. Highly recommend
Rachael Nickoson
What a delightful experience! The facilities were nice and clean. The food buffet was very yummy! The employees were friendly and helpful - all very hardworking. The performance was terrific - actors were good at both acting and singing 😁 Definitely attending again - thank you for a wonderful evening!!! …
Victoria Dodge
Beef & Boards dinner theater attracts predominantly older, retired people as well as local conventions like FFA. The productions are professional quality, but the food would rate as only "adequate".
Kemberly Howell
I absolutely love the shows! But the food is not so great! It’s bland and same choices- over and over. I have been to two shows this year (Newsies and the Christmas Show- which was last night) and we have not been impressed with the food! I will continue to go, because the shows are wonderful. But i wish they would make some changes in regards to menu/recipes.
Deanna K
Loved it. Great show good food buffet
Bart Cole
After reservations were made for our anniversary and cc info provided, I was contacted and told we could not sit at the table because a VIP member was sitting there. I was told that since the Beef and Boards rep knew the people and were sure that we did not know each other that we were not going to be able to sit there. I requested that they speak to my wife as she had made the reservations.
Fast forward to last week. My wife and the B&B rep spoke and we were assigned to a new table. This was my first time here. The food reminded me of a smaller Ponderosa buffet. The seating was a bit tight, the chairs were not comfortable after the second hour, and the table small. The wait staff did their best to keep up and seemed to be hustling. The show was good. If you are looking for something different to do on a rainy night this may be something to try.
Vicky Byarley
It was a great Jimmy Buffett show. I remember the food being a little better.
Kendra Schinbeckler
Wonderful experience!!! Shows are PHENOMINAL!!!! The food is OK..... But cocktails and performance make up for it!! Our family have been going for the last 14 years! It's amazing!!!! You will a great time and so is will the entire family!!!!
Cassi Tyree
Absolutely amazing experience! Service was great! Friendly staff! And the actors/actresses were absolutely talented! I seen Saturday Night Fever, and it was actually my first dinner/show, and I was not disappointed. So fun, and food/buffet was great!
I will now definitely go back ! Cant wait!
Karen Schmitt
Awesome show and dinner was great.
Tammy Ensminger
First time and I loved it! Will definitely be coming back!!
Camaya Cece Polin
The show was amazing and the meat from the buffet was delicious. The sides didn't have much flavor but the show really kept my attention.
Shannon Harvey
Had to use a walker. Staff was very helpful getting me to my booth and putting it up for me. Also say brought all my food to me, and or extremely kind and helpful. Also my daughter has just finished her fourth round of chemo and was very weak, server was very helpful to for also. Hopefully after her surgery and rebuild next year we get to see another show.
Shannon Brazda
Just saw Christmas medley and loved it. I am in the military and it out me to tears when they paid tribute to the military with I'll Be Home For Christmas. Very nice touch. I’ve been a member for about 5 years now. Love it.
Beverly Denny
First time visiting. Very nice place. The food was delicious. I will be back again.
nancy shehu
The show is always phenomenal. The food not so much. Wait staff is always on par, attentive and personable. If I was rating them on food alone, it would definitely be a 1. Suggestions would be to stop overcooking the beef, add some seasonings to the potatoes and veggies. The desserts are usually okay but you could change them once in awhile for some more variety. Overall I go for the show, definitely not for the food.
m0rchaint m0rchaint
Excellent. Saw "Clue". Different from movie though same plot.
Kevin Pruett
What a great show! Dinner was good. But the performance of Newsies was incredible! Well acted and great voices! It was totally worth the trip from Ohio! We will definitely be back!
Alan R
Wonderful venue..great food and entertainment..always a memorable time for the family..just saw A Christmas Story..the Musical sooo much fun
Wayne Ok 1
We have a VIP membership and we intend to buy another membership for next year. The entertainment is excellent. The actors they bring for the plays are very talented and play their parts wonderfully. The food on the buffet ranges from excellent to adequate. It is a really nice evening and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this place. Overall it's worth the money. And they are very accommodating if you have to change your reservation, or if something comes up unplanned you need to add or subtract people from your reservation. My wife and I enjoy it, and there productions for children are nothing short of fantastic. It is well worth the money.
Hoz Holla
Nice to be back at B&B. Some changes due to COVID. Felt comfortable with social distancing and everyone wearing masks. No more buffet but the wait staff now brings your order to the table. Tip them well, they deserve it.
The play was fun and the music entertaining.
WELCOME BACK!
bubbt45
Awesome food good service great show
Joe Del Vecchio
Food is decent enough but that's not really why you go there. You're there for the entertainment. The plays and shows are usually quite good. It's not Broadway, but it's as close as you'll get in Indiana.
Michael Sharp
The food was just ok. About what you would expect from mass produced meals that have to appeal to all ages. The show was really great. Very talented cast. Great venue, well produced.
Laura Fishburn
We saw Smoke on the Mountain!!! Such a wonderful show!!! We took my Mom there for Mother's Day and we had a blast!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 …
hannahcordle
We went and saw the Phantom last night! Probably not my cup of tea but the actors were very talented!
5 stars goes to Britney. She was the real VIP. I asked for probably 37 refills of coffee and I saw other tables yell at her from across the room (Ugh) and she was getting it done! She did a TERRIFIC job! From a fellow server, thank you for all you did for my mom and I! We appreciated you very much!
Noah
Beef and boards is a venue that offers dinner and then a show.
The show was fantastic, and the experience altogether makes it our go-to theater for live performances.
Dinner came in two parts, 1) the buffet that came with our ticket and 2) the tasty little sweet and/or alcoholic add-ons.
The buffet was nothing to scoff at, with three different protein offerings in additing to their salad bar and carb choices. The chicken and fish were excellent, though none of the people I talked to actually liked the roast beef as it was bland, chewy, and stringy. The buffet was reminiscent of places such as the MCL kitchen, though with fewerr options.
The add-ons were a step above the buffet, and seemed more fitting to the experience. Everything we ordered was beyond amazing, and we ended up oggling all of the other desserts and drinks leaving the kitchen.
Finally I should mention the wait-staff. They are superb. Professional and attentive.
C W
Saw Sound of Music, probably the best show I've seen there so far, was GREAT. Only 4 stars because the food is good but not great, you won't go hungry though. Will be going back.
Ron Muse
Typical buffet style food, nothing to write home about. The service was very good. The servers were friendly and did a great job. The layout of the theater is very accommodating. The stage show was fantastic! The performers were wonderful and interacted with the audience, making us part of the show and not just observers!
Kasey Carrell
Always a blast to go, enjoy the food and wonderful plays they put on. I've been a few times and every time has been a treat.
Robert Porter jr.
This is a casual or upscale type of place for great theatrical music experience. Both types of dress wear is fine. The buffet is good and entertainment is worth the money. Very nice venue inside.
Sistoria Neeley
This was so amazing! The show was great! Food was delicious! The service was so friendly, and from start to finish it is a full experience. When you walk in they've got the foyer decorated according to the show, and the gift shop has the shows theme as well. We had a full range of ages in our group as well, an eight year old, a fifteen year old, a twenty-three, forty-two, and a sixty-five year old and all of us just loved it! People get really into the theme, if you want to be a little dressed up (we saw the little mermaid and wore mermaid themed outfits) people wear themed clothes so you won't stand out. All in all the atmosphere was great and positive, the bathrooms were amazingly clean, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I suggest this to all ages of people!
larry aukerman
Good was excellent and Mary Poppins was great! It's been a few years but the show and food is as excellent as ever!
Tambi Smith
I had not been here since I was a child on a school field trip. After going this time, I wish I had not waited so long for a return visit. The buffet food was tasty enough. The potatoes could have used a little seasoning but other than that I had no complaints. The service was attentive but the show was Fantastic!
I had not expected to be so thoroughly entertained. The show "Million dollar Quartet " was performed to perfection! The actors portrayed the characters with amazing details. The story even managed to educate me. It was a great night!
Nathan DeGroff
So glad to get to go to a theater with dinner show after a hiatus due to COVID-19. T
his was the first time we did a lunch performance and it was worth it. The show "Newsies" was great as always, and the food was decent. The desserts were extra and essentially canned. The Reese's cup pie was decent, but caramel cake and ice cream sundae left much to be desired.
Bottom line is go, but skip the desserts.
Lucinda Ironmonger
We went as a group and our table was directly beside the stage. The show was amazing. We saw "Little Shop to Horrors" and the cast was excellent, the whole show was amazing. The only thing I would say that was not good; is the food on the buffet was cold. I was disappointed that it wasn't a dinner served instead of a buffet. Other than the buffet; everything elae was great. You definitely need to go. We will go back.
Lori
I've been to Beef & Boards dinner theater a handful of times in the last 25 years. The shows are pretty good. Definitely better than most high school level shows I've seen (I've seen some really great ones) but also definitely not Broadway level...pretty much what one would expect. Some have been better than others but I love theater so even not so great shows are still entertaining but at the prices B&B charge I expect them to be good. For the most part, they have been.
The buffet dinner has stayed pretty much the same over the 25 years. Salad bar, bread, sides, a couple of meat options & the roast beef carving station. Pretty standard. Alchohol and desserts are extra.
A table for two also costs extra. I'm not sue why, as the table is half the size. Since we were just 2, we had table mates. I'm an introvert, so, that's not my favorite.
Shari Moon
I am been going for years with VIP season tickets. It is very affordable at $31.25 per person per show in our group of eight. The food is buffet style and very good with a good variety. The wait staff are good and super attentive. I am always blown away by the quality of vocals and shows! Comedy is there real specialty though.
Adrianna Baker
Took my two girls (ages 9 and 11) to see the family production of Annie. The doors opened at 6 and we got there about 6:10. Walked right in and ware taken to our table. We were greeted and made to feel very welcome by every staff member. Our waitress came to take our drinks and tell us how things were going to go within 3 minutes of us sitting down.
The buffet was wonderful. There was a great selection for the salad bar w fruit. They served food for both adults and the kids. The food was hot and kept clean. Prices for the special drinks were under $6 and we opted to get dessert for $4.75 at intermission. Delicious!!
The play itself was absolutely wonderful! All the actors were great. The music was right in tune. It kept everyone’s attention for the entire show. We will definitely be back!
Dana Money
Actors did a wonderful job! I enjoyed every moment of the show when I went to go see Singing in the Rain. Tables were nicely set and it was clean inside. Friendly waitstaff, they came around with drinks frequently and I enjoyed that coffee, tea, or lemonade was included with the buffet. The buffet was wonderful and had many different options to choose from. The salad bar also had a lot on it to choose from. A really nice variety for anyone to eat. Would definitely go back again!
Jay Money
Buffet can sometimes be a bit limited, but the food quality is usually good; there should be something for everyone. Performance quality varies from show to show, but it is almost always quite good, and frequently great! Would recommend getting VIP (only) if you plan on going to several shows a year.
Cheryl Kirchner
1st time there I loved it.
The Honky Tonk Angles were awesome
Warren Alwine
Good food, great service, and an awesome show!
Alexis Landa
This place was amazing! The wait staff were so attentive and the show was incredible! I was super please with the food and excited to see that they had a melon drink
jan repp
Good place. Food value has gone down a little.
Robert Sullivan
Great show. Always enjoy attending when I go.
Larry Wheeler
This place is consistently above average. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. We had a table of four for the Buddy Holly Story. Wow!! The play was outstanding! The actors did a superb job. The actor playing Buddy Holly, sang and played better than the originals you can find on line. Beef & Boards consistently does a great job, but this time, I think the production was the best I've ever seen at B&B.
Ella Morrow
Awesome show, the Christmas program was great!!! Sorry to say though I server wasn't very good he didn't come back and refill our Waters or checked our coffee!!
Alicia Harris
I had an absolutely wonderful time seeing the Newsies! The cast and the staff was absolutely amazing! Tiffany we love you you are an absolute star! I cannot wait until your Christmas shows this winter! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Dann Veldkamp
Excellent buffet with salad, a variety of sides and chicken, fish, beef and pork options. Service was very attentive, you always had what you needed.
The venue was clean and not over crowded. But based on the line at intermission, the woman's rest room is due for an expansion.
The quality of the production was first rate. Our group attended Mama Mia and left the theater with large smiles. Acting, staging and singing were all high caliber. I look forward to returning soon.
Joshua Russell
great first impression! very friendly staff. delicious food. very clean. show was amazing!
Michael Morton
What a truly fantastic experience! Took my wife last night as an 8th anniversary date, and it was her first time seeing a play. She now wants to join the VIP program! The food and dessert was absolutely delicious! The waiting staff were some of the most professional and polite staff I've ever had the joy of having. The actors all did such an amazing job, you could really tell they put their heart and soul into their performances. Will definitely be coming back, time and time again!
Felicia Fath Whited
First time being there with family members. We seen the Sound of Misic and I really enjoyed the show. The the buffet and ice cream was good too. Had a very enjoyable evening.
Kayla Greider
I absolutely loved the show! The cast was amazing! The meat was wonderful. The rest of the food seemed bland to me. When I go back I will make sure to get better seats though! We were at table for 8 & in the very back, which meant we had to look over 3 people to see the stage.
Corey S
Good food, very good performance. Friendly service.
Katie Stuller
We saw Grease there last night. We were running late because of weather and we live over a hour away. The staff was so friendly. They offered to make us a plate so we wouldn't miss dinner. Gave us the option to move dates (seats wouldn't have been as good) but they offered. When we got there, the server was so friendly. Told us she made us a plate but we still had time to make our own. She got our drinks right away. Thank you for such friendly staff and the show was amazing! Such talented cast! We smiled the whole time we were there!
Terri Hanson
Show was great. 3rd year the family has gone there for their Christmas show. Food was good. Servers where doing their best.
Matthew Dunn
It's a unique theater experience where you watch a live play and eat dinner in the same location. The staff is amazing. The servers and bussers are very efficient, bringing food and clearing tables methodically. The entertainers are talented and engaging. The food is served via buffet and is mediocre at best. They also have beer and cocktails. The tables are very small, especially with a group of four. It's family friendly, with shows for kids of all ages. I would highly recommend.
Shiffra Nimz
Wonderful show, super friendly staff, good food. I had low expectations for a buffet dinner, but they had some unique options and it was all good. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The waitress even checked in on us during intermission to see how our seats/view was because the box office had been concerned about us. (we had gotten our tickets at the last minute and had gotten the last seats with a partially obstructed view, but we were still able to see 99% of the show.)
Lee Conn-Rhodes
A great show! The theater has ample seating and a nice temperature (neither to hot or to cold. The performance was excellent and performers were wonderful.
Jo Manns
A great experience and Stella performance of Hello Dolly. Great place for theatre and dinner. Servers we friendly and attentive.
Lisa Powlen
We have a membership here and it is always a great time. Always 4 star and often 5 star if you have a good server.
Jim Gouvan
Great place to go for an entire evening to be fed and entertained.
We have been here several times and have always enjoyed it each time. Some shows are better than others, but it is always a good time.
You get a buffet style dinner with as many trips as you like. Desert is extra, but their offerings are tasty.
The entire seating area is designed for everyone to have a great view. The wait staff is always extremely friendly and ready to make sure that you are happy.
The shows are good quality and have always had a lot of energy.
I recommend trying it at least once.
Marcus Jefferson
Enjoyed tremendously! Good food & wonderful show!
Richard Carr
Shear Madness was a excellent fantastic funny funny show
We enjoyed it very much
Request to dinner /desert menu B&B offers NO sugar free menu items for people that are diabetic . Request you add these items to your menu
Catherine Rossi
We were treated to "dinner and a show" by my daughter, Lisa and her husband, Justin. The food was great, as was the show, Beef and Boards Christmas!
donna d geisler
Excellent service and performance, best show and performers I've ever seen!!! Thank you for making my first time there memorable. 🤩❤❤❤❤ …
Jurassic Fantastic
The buffet was mediocre at best. Golden corral was better. Yeah, I said it. BUT.... the performance was out of this world. Hats off to the performers. They worked so hard they were sweating, in a good way, like a prize fighter. The table staff was also on high performance mode. All in all, the show was perfect. The food was perfectly blah.
Marcia Stroub
Had a great time seeing Grease. The cast were all fabulous in their roles. My sister took me for my birthday. Dinner was delicious and service great. We've been many times over the years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend to anyone who's never been to go and you will love it!
Beth Lively
Beef & Boards is beautiful and very well run. There are not any bad seats in the House even those farthest away are close enough. The food is fantastic, the service professional and right on the spot! They only have good shows, they hire a great cast, accomplished musicians, and create imaginative sets. I've been to Beef & Boards many times and never had a bad experience, not once. Even the parking is extremely convenient.
Seth Dugger
The food is very good high quality. Most everyone attending is dressed nicely but blue jeans will still get you in the door. The plays are quality and well put together. Fun for the whole family or date night.
Leslie Napora
We went to Beef and Boards for Valentines day. It was a lot of fun. The buffet has a variety of foods which change with each show and the performance was fun to watch. Many people love the experience. We think it is a fun night out every once in a while.
Kelly Sample
The theater is fun to admire the talent of the performers. Seating is really cramped and uncomfortable, but maybe other seats would be better. The speakers could not handle some of the singers, but the band was great. The food was well done, and staff was friendly. A good experience.
ADDISON Cruz.
Our lunch at Beef and Boards was very good. I've seen some complaints about their meals but I have no idea why. The salad bar had a good selection and the meat was cooked to perfection. The show of Little Mermaid was enjoyed by adults and children alike. My only complaint might be that I was cold even with a light jacket on during the show. Our service was good and everyone was friendly and helpful.Definitely they deserve 5 stars.
Tim Toepp
I've been here multiple times, like the shows, each time will be a different experience from the production they put on to the food they serve. They have run out of certain food, so you'll want to get there early if there is a particular food that you'll eat. The productions that they put on I've never had complaints with, usually its with the food selection they offer or the occasional service, but my last 2 visits have had great service.
Caylan Quinn
The actors were phenomenal and the food was good. The only let down was that the musical I saw (Phantom of the Opera) was there own interpretation and not actually Phantom of the Opera.
Rob Brown
Always a great time with good food.
Kevin Saltzer
We had a GREAT time... Show was FUNtastic. Buffet Spread was very good.
William “Chris” Hoock
We went to see elf. The show was amazing. Great actors and actresses. We really enjoyed it. The food was just ok. A little bland and some things were lukewarm, but the desserts were delicious. I would definitely go again just for the plays. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
Jason
My fiance and I went to see Sister Act today. The show was very well executed, and the performers were very good. Our service was about average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. The food, on the other had was not the best. It was very bland! We had to add quite a bit of salt, even to the ham. The fish was probably the best thing on the buffet. Overall it was pretty good, but a little over priced. There is a place in southern Indiana that has great shows and the food is amazing. Their prices are nearly half of this establishment as well. It is almost to Louisville, so it may be too far for those up here.
Chris Willhite
Food was wonderful. Our seats were horrible. Honestly B-n-B should not sell these seats. We were on far right side top level. Christmas tree on stage blocked part of our view.
JENICA RENEE
I looked into the NYE show which was sold out. I sent and email & was told there was a wait list but usually people don't cancel & it could last min. I took a chance & it paid off! I got a call a little over a week before NYE. Customer service was phenomenal. I wasn't overly excited about the dinner buffet but a buffet is a buffet is a buffet. There was plenty to choose from. The show was fantastic! Then there was some fun little dancing after, followed by a balloon drop & champagne toast. The event concluded with a breakfast buffet which I enjoyed more than the dinner buffet. All in all it was a wonderful experience & the price was amazing!!
Sean Knutson
Buffet style meal was very good, and the show was very enjoyable. It's not Broadway, and it isn't a five course meal, but it's awesome having a place like this in the area. Some of the actors are extremely talented! Would definitely recommend it for a night out.
Maggy Mayhem
The show was great, the food was lacking. There were reasonable options for vegetarian and meat eaters both. The issue I had was the lack of flavor. The food was fairly bland and the cooked baby carrots were a weird texture. The experience overall was great though!
Tess Cook
Absolutely amazing show! The actors were unbelievably good and the food was also very good. Must go again. 😊
Miss Andrea Reads
This was my first time to Beef and Boards but my mom has been several times. We saw The Little Mermaid. I thought our seats were great in the far corner down by the stage. The buffet was good but not great. Just normal cafeteria food. The play was good as well. I thought the Male lead Eric wasn't very strong. Scuttle and Ursula and Ariel were the best, very good part assignments for them. Bravo.
Rochelle Bingham
It Was Wonderful, The Entertainment Play and Dinner was Awesome!
Makada Love
Bravo to the actors and actresses of "Shear Madness" Sunday Matinee! Your improv was top notch, the relatable current events and local references added so much to the experience but it is truly the level of humor you brought to the stage today that gives you this 5-star review and standing ovation in my book! Thank you for a memorable afternoon! Yours truly, Crimestopper Extraordinaire =)
Cory Thompson
SO MUCH FUN! The entertainment was EXCELLENT! The food was good, but the roast beef was just so-so.
Kirsten Cooper
What a lovely place! Beef and boards keeps alive the magic of theatre. It indulges my love for anything upscale, high society, and fancy while keeping it still affordable. I went with two girl friends, and we had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves. The food was good, but the dessert was better. 😊 …
Bert Stewart
Man I really wish I liked this place more . Honestly the plays are very well done but the food is just OK and the seats SUCK! The last time we went we figured out how to set so that we were not super uncomfortable but still not good. I would definitely recommend buying the seats that face the stage if you can. I have never been so lucky they sell out fast. We went for New years eve party and had a fantastic time! There band for dancing was fun. I wish they would figure out better seating I would go more often.
Charles Gray
Went to see Phantom. Food was fantastic and the staff are amazing. The show was also wonderful. First time going there, but will definitely be going back soon
Erin O'Riordan
The staff here is excellent. The buffet deserves a grade of B. We weren't that concerned about the food, though. We were there to be entertained, and I have to say, mission accomplished. One of the best musicals I've ever seen. We will definitely be back.
Jessey Nettey
Great seating, service, performances, and food.
Stephanie Miller
I've seen many shows here for years, and I always enjoy it. I got to see The Little Mermaid during their dress rehearsal. It was awesome! It's great fun for the whole family. If you're a fan of the Disney movie, you'll love this play.
Clara Curry
Had tickets for dinner & live show. Very entertaining. Meals are good. Service is excellent by all staff. We will be back. So glad they are open again.
Jeff Wilson
We were there with family, 16 people in all, to celebrate a milestone birthday. The show Elf: the Musical, was very good. I was impressed by most of the acting, ALL of the singing, and some of the dancing. There were some really talented vocalist in the group.
The food was meh. The roast beef looked good and had good flavor but was very tough. The telapia was barely warm. The asparagus was tender and not over cooked but the streamed broccoli was mush. Over all I would give the food a C+.
The wait staff was adequate and worked efficiently but in the five or so hours we were there, I only saw one person who regularly smiled and acted like she enjoyed her job. They all seemed defeated or discouraged or something so not at all warm or friendly but still professional.
3stars seems a little generous but 2 is unquestionably low. If the food were much improved I would lean heavily toward 4stars but still mostly due to the performance.
Jeron Sanders
As a season subscriber at another dinner theatre, I was not as impressed as I was hoping to be. I ordered tickets well in advance and was seated with another couple even though I requested a 2 person table. Food was ok, but nothing was labeled, so it was tough to know exactly what we were getting. The show was excellent though.
Jolinda Roberts
I really enjoy this venue. The show today was Buddy Holly and it was great! Beef N Boards never disappoints. The talent they bring to their shows is top notch. I highly recommend this place for a fun day/evening out!
Jan Loisch
Have never been disappointed at Beef & Boards. Just watched "Annie" , excellent show, great cast, even the dog did a good job! Food is good, I would not say excellent, but good. Service is very good too! If you can swing the extra money, the two-person booths around the outer edge are worth the extra space

What a great first experience at Beef & Boards as our group enjoyed "A Christmas Story." Having heard good things about B&B from others, my expectations were were elevated and they did not disappoint. The service was memorable, the food was tasty, and the entertainers were talented. We are planning a return in 2020!
Scott Wolff
What a wonderful experience! It started with a quality buffet meal including fish, chicken, pork and roast beef, vegetables and salad then a wonderful show. At intermission coffee and desserts then the completion of Mama Mia. The music and the actors and actresses did a fantastic job! This was the first of many shows that my family and I will be attending. I highly recommend this experience and get the premier package because it is worth it.
David Ratts
Our family loves going here to watch the shows they put on. The staff is very friendly and inviting. The seating and shows are fair and fun to watch no matter where you are. The food is never ending and filling like its a thanksgiving feast from the heavens. If you haven't went here before, I highly recommend it!
Amelia Fenoglio
The show was quite entertaining - innovative use of space! The food was mediocre. I was disappointed that it was buffet. I guess I understand but it was not the best cuisine. Dessert was good though. Overall, it was worth the time and money. Make sure to get there early!
JV Austen
The 2021 Christmas Extravaganza was great fun. The service is impeccable. The buffet is okay. We are considering season tickets.
Jennifer Sellers
The show (The Little Mermaid) was magical! The food was exquisite; but, our hostess was an absolute dream!!! She helped us get back to our table with salad plates and made our first visit feel like we had come visit a long lost relative! She made the visit super special!!
David Baugh
What a great show. Food was good.
Devin Powers
The food was good, the waitress was wonderful, and the show was amazing!
David Lowe
Great entertainment, nice night out.
Barrett Davis
Dinner and a show at its finest in this area. First the food was buffet style, with that being said it was actually pretty good considering. The show is what really makes this place shine. I saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Every performance was top notch, even by the extras. The scenes were well made and immersive and in no way looked low budget. This is an excellent place for a date, anniversary dinner, or even a special outing for the holiday season.
Dennis Grishin
Mamma Mia is the most recent show I saw here. Production was AMAZING. Beef and Boards is in a weird location that I always forget it’s still in business, but seeing the production I know why! Very talented actors. Reason for 3 stars is the food. Not great quality or options. Amazing staff, though!! Service was great!
Beca Frankosky
The shows are always great. What isn’t great is the food. The vegetables are usually flavorless and mushy. The chicken breading was equally as mushy and practically falling off. It all tastes like it’s been sitting under a warmer all day. A small glass of coke no bigger than what they would put orange juice in at a diner was $4. What was equally as frustrating was being told “don’t forget to tip your servers. They rely heavily on your generosity.” Why is it the patron’s responsibility to employee your wait staff? If you cannot afford to properly pay your employees, than you shouldn’t be in business.
Like I said, the shows are always fantastic. Everything else leaves much to be desired.
Kim Huff
I will always have a place in my heart for this place. In full disclosure, I worked at Beef & Boards briefly in 1986 in reservations. I don't think I was there even a year and until 2017, I have not been there in over a decade.
Now that I've got that of off the way... here goes.
Indiana may not be New York, but the Beef & Boards is a great place to get your Broadway itch scratched. Their musicals are fantastic and when my kids were real young my parents took my sister and I plus my hubby and my kids to the show. It was a magical night and the singing was wonderful. If you weren't in the holiday spirit before the show, you definitely were by the time you left. My dad had season tickets in 2017 and 2018 and he took me to a few shows. Like I said, that was the first time I had gone in years... probably closer to 20 years!
Now the biggest complaint I had with B&B was the food, but WOW they've really turned that around. I thought the food was great in 2017/2018. There were many good options, very flavorful with tender meats and my favorite was the salad stuff. So if you went years ago, don't let the food deter you; give it another chance.
If you've never been, you are really missing out. It's a great night for date... especially since you get dinner and a show. I'm not sure there's really a bad place to sit and they offer matinee performances on the weekends. You do want to be sure you get there on time if you want to eat. Once they put the food away, you are out of luck. I think they offer water, coffee and tea for free. You can also buy sodas and alcoholic beverages.
So if you're a little tired of the classic movie at a large theater with multiple screens, give some real theater a try. If you like watching live performances, you'll love Beef & Boards
Karen Lynn
What a fun time!!
The food wasn't bad at all and the play was ELF! The actors were really great! I truly had a great time and laughed the whole night!
My Co - worker was so wrong about this place... Her loss! Everyone looked to have a great time as well!
I'll definitely go back again!
Jessica Crandall
Delightful experience! Even the obstructed view seating is completely worth it! Get up close and personal with a Broadway quality cast. The food is pretty great, especially the roast beef. The extra cost for dessert isn't worth it (at least for the sundae)
Wayne Hibbs
We have had VIP memberships at B&B for 4 years and enjoy the total experience. Food is OK, productions are top notch for a local theater group. We get to see plays we would never have chosen ourselves.
Joseph Hodge
First time at a matinee and it was just as good as the evening shows. Buffet was clean and tasty with wide variety. Service staff were fabulous.
Nancy Landers
This is a great show (Hello Dolly) The lead actress was simply magnificent. Really enjoyed it!!!
C Wags
I saw A Christmas Story this time. My party enjoyed both the show and the food. The only complaint I heard was that someone thought the Turkey was supposed to be ham. I have seen numerous shows here over the years and I keep coming back!
Leigh Ann Chubb
Needs to be more handicap for the buffet. I had to rely on family to get my meal for me.
Marcia Carpenter
Love the shows food is great the servers are kind and clear your plate right away. Your drinks don’t go empty they have wonderful coffee. I really love the show the actors are great and put on a great show for you there is no seat in the house that is a bad one
Haylie Beaumont
I always love visiting Beef and Boards. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, and the performance is outstanding. It's always such a great experience!
colleen watson
Great place for family or date night.
Jack Baker
Food was good. But, the show was fantastic!!! Looking forward to when we can go again!!!
Michael Ttimmons
The best place to see anything there. The help is very friendly and the dinner theater food is excellent. There is not a bad seat in this place. We went and seen The little mermaid and the actors are awesome and any show we have went to is very good. I would give this place 5 stars any day of the week.
Krystal Wright
Amazing show, great food
paola cubides
Great Experience! Christmas edition was amazing
Noah Truitt
Fantastic place but my whole party left with a stomach ache except me. I was the only one who skipped the salad bar. The musical was great though, we saw a christmas story and it was very good. The cast was great!
Gail Povaleri
Love going to B&B. Have been going for years now as a VIP member. Food was good as usual. We just didn't like this show. Were excited to see this show as it was all performed by two of our favorite actors. They did okay but just disappointed. Not near as funny as they have done before.
Cassie
First time visiting and we were impressed! We saw The Christmas Story. The food was good for it being a buffet! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 and not 5 is because the tables are really squeezed in. There is not much room to move or get out. You are basically back to back with the chairs of the people next to you. Drinks with alcohol cost extra as well as desserts. The rest of food and drinks are included in the ticket price. We will go back!
Mark Fisher
We have enjoyed different types of B&B shows in the past. This one, Beehive, was incredible. The band, stage work, and food were all spot on. The lady actresses-vocalists were stunning and exhibited phenomenal vocal acuity. Thank you!
Dexter Pritchard
The show was fantastic, I have to say we will be back, the service was great and the food was not bad at all.
Donna Sebren
Food was excellent 😋
Program was excellent very talented singers …
Anthony Rivera
The performances here are always top notch. The talent of the actors and the production values for the plays never disappoints. The food is only passable. A lot of the food is of mediocre buffet quality. It can get very expensive here compared to other entertainment options in the city. If there is a show you are interested in here, don't hesitate to go.
Heather Burgess
Wonderful place. Staff is wonderful and extremely friendly and they have gluten free options! Great for special occasions or if you want something different than your normal stuff you do all the time!
Melony Ramsey
An amazing event filled with fun and the most wonderful singers and actors. Food was great with all you can eat.
Service was outstanding. Planning to go back again but we'll need to save some money. Some new friends treated us this time. Thank you to them.
John Byerly
Had a great time. After 47 years they have this routine down. Seat you quick. Open the buffet. Then clear and start the show. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is really good. Large salad bar and many options for main course and sides. Dessert is extra but still really good. The show is the main event and they have some very talented actors. Hard to find a better time in Indy.
Brandon L
This was my first time here and I will definitely be going back! The buffet style food had limited options, but it was all very good. The show was an excellent show! There's not a bad seat in house!
Linda E
Have had season tickets for over 20 years. It's amazing what they can do with the size of their stage! Actors come from all over the US to work here. Variety of shows each season with a focus on musicals.
Buffet dinner is usually themed to the show although there is always beef - handcut for your preference.
Chrissy
Saw a great show there! The staff was very nice and the food is a buffet style! Still tasty and good. Just wish there was more of a variety in the buffet selection. Def a place to come try and it’s good for families!
Mick Weatherford
We went to the Ring of Fire show. The folks in the show were talented and the wait staff was world class! The buffet was mediocre, the entrance to the buffet and seating were both extremely tight and awkward. The seats are not square with respect to the stage, so you are looking 90 degrees to the side. 2 hours of this is hard on your neck. I highly recommend the box seats. There are only a few, they are in the very back, but they look straight at the stage. Value for the money is fair.
Karen Eddy
The show was spectacular Mama Mia
& the service was spot-on. The food however was so disappointing. Very mediocre & I regret wasting so much good but it was tasteless. We hadn't been there for o\25 yrs because of the poor food even tho the show were always good. I will add there r too many tables too tight against each other. We may return to give it pne more chance. We'll see.
Ken Hull
Great place to go for an evening if you are going down to Indianapolis or already live there. Nice buffet style dinner before the show and waiters and waitresses deliver drinks and desserts during the show intermission....My wife and I go to Indy two or three times a year and we always try to make a performance here. Also great seating, not a bad seat in the house.....plenty of parking!
Linda Fife
Good selection of tasty, properly cooked food, with well co-ordinated hostess seating and buffet service, well done & well presented plays/shows. Always a great time for me. It could have brighter lighting on steps and around the tables
nessaVthats me
My bestfriend, her daughter and niece's and myself went to see Steele Magnolias. It was wonderful! I've been want to go here for many many years, but it just seemed to happen. We were all greatly impressed with this adaptation. Wonderfully done! The actresses were amazing!Well worth the wait!! Can't wait to go again! The food is ok. It's not a big buffet, but theres enough to fill your belly. Little tip for newbies.. the earlier you get there the earlier you eat. Seating begins at 6 I believe, but you can line up I believe at 5 or 5:30 (not positive) They call you to dine by the time your tickets are received. We were unaware of this little fact lol. The closer you are to the front of the line to be seated, the earlier your table will be called to get in line for the buffet. Enjoy the show... I know we sure did!!
Ginny Jones
Great experience. For those that are mobility challenged there are servers who will get what you want from the buffet.
Wanda Russ
A must see! Dinner and a live play! We go as a group of 4 and enjoy the plays. The buffet is served before the show and its stocked with great food and choices! Not a place for small children but they do offer special plays for them on certain dates!
Jordan Edmondson
Wonderful dinner theater. Food was good, our server Lori was great. Definitely considering get a VIP pass.
Lourdes Sivilla-Moriarty
A Beef & Boards Christmas: Beef & Boards promises and as always delivers!! Fabulous show to start off the Christmas Season. So happy to have been in Indiana to see the show.
Rosemary Weaver
The show, 42nd Street, was high energy and very entertaining. I'm a huge fan of tap dancing!!
The food was above average this time. My hubby and I give the salmon a double high five. The raspberry and lemon torte was a refreshing addition to the dessert tray.
Douglas Hession
I've been here several times. The performances can be spotty, and tonight's "Saturday Night Fever" was no exception. Parts were meh and others were absolutely electric. Most are very well done, but this was not entirely. One part seemed terribly contrived (and can't remember which, but was in the early first act). Overall, it was good.
The service is always top notch and the meal was very good. I was impressed with the beef stroganoff and the baked chicken. The breaded shrimp was what you could get from the Gorton's fisherman but I happen to like it, so it was fine. I'm looking forward to seeing American In Paris, Newsies and Phantom Of The Opera.
Kathi Montigny-Bold
So much fun for our family reunion. Food, service and show were great! Only complaint is was it was freezing!!! I'm sure the temp is cool for the performers. Definitely going back and we'll take a sweater!
Jasmine Egly
I have had a VIP membership at Beef& Boards for at least 6 years and thoroughly enjoy the food and entertainment. After attending for a while you get to know alot of the regular performers and you can appreciate the great variety of parts that they play. We enjoy the food but the performances are the real draw for us, especially the shows with live music. I've never left the theater sorry that I spent an evening there.
Bo Turner
Been going here for years and I'm never disappointed. Good food and a great show. Cast and servers are amazing. One of the best dinner theaters I've gone to and you should definitely get tickets months in advance to get a good seat.
Amanda Arnold
I took my mom to see Mamma Mia and I am so happy I did! The food is actually really good, the service was on point and the actors/set were spot on. It was the first time for both of us but it definitely won’t be the last!
James Hoffman
Buffet was back to normal. Server Eric was great. Best of all Sound Of Music was fabulous. Great play adaptation.
Barbara Nydegger
The show was fantastic and full of energy! Loved all the tap dancing and costumes. I had not seen 42nd Street before, and i/we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, there was too much profanity, especially in the beginning.
Steven hyland
Water and drink glasses were dirty. Buffet food was very limited as far as selection and bland on taste. I would have expected a bigger and tastier selection of food and at least 1 free alcoholic beverage (Wine or Beer ) offered with the meal for what we paid. The Christmas Show was relaxing and nice. They performed many of our favorite songs from popular Christmas movies childhood and the dancing choreography was ok for the size of stage that is there. The sound System was very well operated. I would rate the whole experience 3 Star*** on a 5 star rating.
Donald Hamm
Loved the show . The music was great and the lead singer was really great sound almost as good as Julie Andrews was way back when.
Brent Hochstetler
We saw the Buddy Holly Story, and it was fantastic. Nostalgia obviously played a big part, but the food was good and the atmosphere was fun. The actor that played Buddy Holly was spot on, even his mannerisms including the hair flick.
Patricia Ann Van Noy
Beef and Boards is a nice place to go for a night out. Food is good but it is the theatre that makes the evening out special. So much talent and great music!
Halloween “Da Freak” Lifer!
My wife picked this for our 5th wedding anniversary. She initially had her heart set on the Blissfield Michigan murder mystery dinner train. However, after hearing many mixed reviews, she continued to look for something else. We decided to give Beef & Boards a try for the "Singing in the Rain " show. The food was excellent (aside from the chicken being very dry). The service was good, food great, and the show was excellent! We both left happy about the decision we made and plan on going back!
Letha H
Went with a school group. Really enjoyed the food and the show! Not a bad seat in the place. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying a show.
Hunter Keilman
Beef and Boards is great! The night starts with an all-you-can-eat buffet of excellent, high quality food, and then moves into the production. I went and saw 7 brides for 7 brothers which was an enjoyable experience.
It's a good place to spend an evening and I recommend it highly.
Brittney Lewis
First time here & it's a very cool experience. Not as expensive as I expected either! Definitely worth trying out!
Alyssa Brant
Things we liked: Beautiful table set up, love the dim lights and little lamps at the table. The performance was good. Love the way the rows curve so everyone has a good view of the stage. Things that kinda disappointed me: The food, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Seemed kinda dry or on the cheap side, bland. I told my waitress she could keep the change if she brought me a refill of coke. The change was $9. She kept the change and never brought me a refill.
April Connelly
The food was really great and the show was great too! Only negative comment is that they need to have a few more servers refilling drinks and things at the tables because it does take a while to get a refill after you have asked for it. The servers are just taking care of too many tables at once.
Barbara Hull
Have been to several Beef and Boards shows. Saw the Little Mermaid last night and it was the best show I have seen so far!! Have been going to shows there for 2 years. The cast was fantastic. 7 year old great neice was thete too and loved show. Encourage you to see this show!
Natasha Milam
My first visit and it was Awesome.
Charles Spurgeon
The musical ("Elf") was wonderfully enjoyable, and this assessment from someone who typically avoids such things! The pre-show buffet was kind of "up and down"; mostly very good food choices, with the notable exception of the roast beef... which was quite over cooked and dry (the flavor was right there though). Very good experience!
Kimberly Yarnell
Food was very good. The staff is exceptional. And the show was so great. The actresses played their roles so well. This is an evening well worth the money.
Jeremey Arnold
My wife and I have been VIP members for the laat three seasons i believe and its a great way to spend an evening together. The shows are really good and the value with the food, performance, and atmosphere makes for a very good value. I also enjoy taking my kids to the two pyramid players kids shows each year and one of the 7 main shows for the season is always a family show for kids and adults alike, for instance last year Shrek the Musical. If you are not sure about it, i recommend at least giving it a try. The VIP membership pays for itself if you see three or more shows a year for two people as it gives you 2 for 1 on ticket purchases 7 times a year and free dessert!
Sharon Hobaugh
Another birthday celebration with my sister's in law and my cousin...Great times!!
Elain Dahl
We had a very enjoyable experience, both the dinner and the show (Hello Dolly).
Kimbely Wilson
Had a wonderful time at Phantom of the Opera the cast was wonderful and the show was great. Love the roast beef and the seasonal drink the Phantom
Daidra Jagger
I love going to Beef n Boards. The shows are amazing, the food is great, and the staff is great also. Ever around or like live theater you need to go here. My husband and I have been VIP members for around 7 or 8 years.
Tony Warren
Great value. I have always enjoyed going to Beef & Boards. Last night my wife and saw West Side Story. The roast beef is always excellent; the rest of the meal was good. The show was great. Great value. An awesome Indianapolis institution.
Shannon Wells
We went to see Singin' In The Rain.
The performance was wonderful.
The buffet was probably the best we have had there.
The green bean medley was very fresh. Nice twice baked potatoes.
The roast beef was perfect.
Jenna Weaver
My first time , I Had a great time food was good show was great "grease "
Ken Hayes
Performances are amazing. We have gone twice now and both times the show blew us away. Food is mediocre and they cram too many people into the place to be comfortable.
Erika Hood
Im so happy that my daughter Barbs first real play (not college produced, not mini theatre) experience was this one. Lil Shop Of Horrors is hand down an amazing play. The actors and crew did an amazing job bringing this as alive as you can ever expect and more. Audrey sounds exactly like the real Audrey its amazing. Audrey2 plant is absolutely astonishing. Thank you for the amazing hospitality your food was amazing and this chocolate raspberry filled cake was scrumptious. Perfect measures of everything. Clean bathrooms, actually beautiful interior and nice bowl sinks with cool barn like faucets. Everything is superb. Better then some NewYork theatres. I most definitely suggest you to go see it. Staff gave their 💯
Looking forward to seeing Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out) here this season
Deanna Powell
Fun time! Very enjoyable!
We will be back for sure 🧡 …

Show and service: 5 stars
Buffet: 0 stars
One of these places that is hard to rate. It is a shame that they have such dry awful food. I couldn't even swallow the roast beef. It was worse that eating the sole of your shoe.
If I was acting there, I would force them to do better with the buffet. The food they give is not worth 3$ per plate no matter how much you fill it and I recommend not to eat a lot of it.
You can read the rest of the comments but it is clear. Good show, very bad food.
Susan Jones
Buffet dinning went quickly. Extra cost for soda and dessert, which was disappointing..show was great, but the cast didnt come out after the show to mingle but maybe it was too late at night. Would definitely go back again.
Jim S
First the good things:
Stage view is amazing. Sitting a couple feet away from the stage offers a great experience.
The actors where amazing.
The bad:
Food sucks. I means SUCKS. Why they even bother with food when it as bad as this is honestly a mystery.
Sound system. It could use an upgrade.
Overall.. it's a dinner theater with good theater and horrible horrible dinner.
Pat Zickman
we saw MAMA MIA the other afternoon and thought it was one of the finest productions of the show yet. Well worth seeing and the cast was super. You could understand their singing and hear it easily. The orchestra was also super. Don't miss this show.
Beverly Vest
My friend and I celebrated our birthday there and 2 other girls. We really enjoyed Mama Mia. The food and desserts were outstanding. Highly recommend for a wonderful time!
Amanda Lawson
Beef & Boards was a fun experience. We saw Grease today, and it was great! The food was ok- not the best I've had, but still good. The service was friendly and good. I want to go back to see more shows!
Rachel Wright
Love this place. I'm a VIP member I go so often. For the price you can't beat it. Small venue, not a bad seat in the place. The food is ok for a buffet. Could use more variety and seasoning but I realize they are catering to the majority.
Carly Schall
The show was very good, but the food is simply awful -- basically cafeteria-level. Even the titular "beef" was full of gristle. I'd like to go back for the theater, but I don't think I'd be able to justify part of my ticket price going to that meal.
Minnie Hendrix
Beef & Boards is a live theater. First they feed you. Every thing is superb. The waiters are courtius and attentive. We watched Ghost. All I can say is it was fantastic. The performers were great. I definitely recommend it. I plan on going again.
Zack McLean
I don’t understand the negative reviews. My family and I have been going here for years and feel that it has only gotten better with age. Yeah, it’s a little pricey, but it’s a dinner theater. If you go to any dinner theater in any big city it’s going to be just as expensive if not more so. I’ll admit that the food can be hit and miss, but I’ve never had a meal that I thought was bad. The acting has always been above average and every show we have seen here has been enjoyable. Of course it’s not going to be on the same level as a venue in NYC or Chicago, but it’s still a good place to go for dinner and a show.
Kathy Winburn
Amazing performance Friday night! Those ladies did an excellent job of keeping us entertained and yet still tore at our hearts during the emotional moments. One of my favorites at Beef & Boards for sure! Well done!!!
James Ball
The buffet was better than good. The show was funny and entertaining. All in all best bang for a buck
Al Finch
This dinner theater is thoroughly enjoyable the production was excellent the buffet was also excellent with a wide variety for every taste having been a 30-year patron of beef and boards recommended to any and all.
Benjamin Dias
The food was good but the views of the stage aren't the best. Most of the tables are rectangles and are arranged with the short end closest to the stage. This means that the 4 person tables have one guest trying to look past the other on their side of the table to see the show.
Julianna Holland
We came to watch the "singing in the rain" with my son's high school choir. It was awesome all the kids loved it! If you haven't been to Beef & boards u need to. This was my third time here and making plans to come back already. Everyone was amazing see you soon!
James Castator Jr
The food was good, the service was great, and the show was wonderful.
Rebecca Suzanne
I normally like my trips to Beef & Boards but this last trip to see Annie was not up to my expectations. The buffet was pretty decent. The dessert was excellent. BUT this production used profanity at least ten times. My husband and I filter out heavily what we watch and listen to and I was appalled when I heard the relative cussing. It was unnecessary and makes us not want to return.
Jessica Peveler
We love Beef & Boards theater. the prices are unbeatable for dinner AND a show. The performances usually knock it out of the park. The four-top tables can be a bit tight on space, so you may find it worth splurging for a two-top. Servers are also excellent.
John Morphew
A better name for this establishment would be boards and beef. I've never been disappointed by the musical theater--five star music! But in all the times I've visited the food has always been merely mediocre. Expect a three star cafeteria.
Eric Shelton
I had a great time. The food buffet was good and the show, Mamma Mia was amazing. The service with drinks and dessert was excellent. The performance was so amazing that is hated that it ended and I'd love to see it again.
Juliana White
The service staff are attentive and totally unobtrusive during the production. Our meal was simple but delicious. And the production! Wow! We came to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This is our favorite and have seen many versions in various places. The talent on stage was certainly commendable but the Narrator, performed by Andrea Fleming, was flawless, awesome, gifted, fun to watch... We could go on. I can promise that I would happily travel and pay to see any production Andrea was featured in. A star.
Debra Stong
The shows are well executed, but the space is so limited, and all they do are musicals. But the worst is their food bar. My 10 year old granddaughter can't find anything that she likes to eat except rolls and butter and chocolate pudding. Even my husband, who eats anything, can't eat most of it either. AND the BEEF (as in "Beef and Boards") should be prohibited. Dry peices of leather that have no flavor and can't be chewed.
J Mot
The show "Hello Dolly" was excellent. The food was very good also.
Marc Cohen
Saw Shrek there and had a wonderful time with the family! Food was good and the chef helped with our odd allergies. The show was well produced, but our seats in the corner weren't that good. I would suggest a video monitor on the side of the band box to show a front view of stage when all action is there.
M N
Wrnt with my daughter on a field trip. Seating was stadium style with tables of four except for on the floor where they had larger tables. I thought the show was cute and the performers did an excellent job. There were several times they included the audience in the performance. All in all enjoyed the show. Trying to attend an adult show which I hope is longer than 1 hour.
Lyndi H
The food was delicious, the show was quite spectacular, and each actor/actress was incredible in their role. Watched Mamma Mia, had the time of my life. Go and watch a show! You won't regret it!
Andy Kapcoe
Same food as we ate yrs ago, service was good entertainment was great.
Carolyn Niemantsverdriet
"Margaritaville" at Beef and Boards Dinner Theater was great fun with much music and dancing. Well done!
Kaila Powell
Kids show was the perfect length, especially for kids with short attention spans. Actors were great. The show was really cute. Definitely coming back!
AngelxBTS_ 21
I watched Grease live and it was the best experience I could ever have. The food was amazing and the show was incredible. Being that close to the people was like an out of body experience. I loved it so much and it was sooo worth the money!! 💕 …
David Ault

My second visit of the season, musical was great, too loud had to wear earplugs but good. The food was fair, just not hot or even warm, but the salad and fruit was fine.

My boyfriend and I have a VIP membership. We love having it as a built-in date night. So enjoyable. The coffee is SOOOO good and we love the food and theater aspect. Such a great time.

Beef and Boards is a wonderful way to soend an evening. When you can't get to a Broadway play, Beef and Boards brings a bit of that culture right here to Indy. I have never had a bad time here. Even our grand daughter loves it, and has been for her birthdays 7,8 and 9 this year.
Jade Tellez

Awesome experience, we seen the little mermaid and it was excellent. Only complaint would be the mashed potatoes are mediocre at best. They tried sprucing up instant potatoes. Other than that, perfect!
