We saw Blue Man Group in Chicago last night. I did not expect to be sooo entertained. The music is fantastic and the actors are incredibly good at performance art. The show is about creating art and performing art and music with everyday items , visual multi-media art that entertains all ages. The children (and there were lots of them) in the audience loved it, as well as the adults. Audience participation is the key! It was so much fun! If you are approached to participate in the show, make sure that you do so, Wear white if you can, you will glow in the dark! Truly unique entertainment, we thoroughly enjoyed it. And last of all, go see the show and have fun!

We loved our experience went with the Hubby and 15 yr old son ! They are Very interactive with the audience 🧡 Recommend for all ages.. enjoyed the Blue Mans performance and especially loved the band 🎼🎸🥁 They have a bar if you arrive early 🥂 They won’t allow you to go into the actual theater to be seated until 20 mins before the show. They do need proof of vaccine cards and will accept a picture of vaccine card. They have a small parking lot right next to the building but fills up fast so you need to arrive at least 30 mins before to get good parking. Parking is $17 Show lasted about an hour and 40 mins

I bought tickets to the show as a surprise for my boyfriend. Although I had been to the show once a long time ago it was an awesome experience for the both of us. It's very interactive which gives the element of surpise as the audience members add their special touch to the show. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. One thing I didn't like is we arrived about 10 minutes late and we were told we had to wait for 10 minutes before we were directed to our seats so as to not be a distraction to the show. If I'm not allowed to my seats for about 20 minutes I would expect to be compensated for not being able to use the seats I paid good money for. I was not warned about this.when I purchased the ticket so I didn't find it fair.

We had the best time seeing Blue Men. Never had seen them before but heard so much about them. The show began with so much humor without even speaking, and ended with my stomach soar and cheeks hurting...but well worth it. I have not laughed so much in so long. The men had a story that you could understand and follow, while crying in laughter. Their eyes and movements tell the whole story. The music and tri KS were phenomenal. Never seen so much talent. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND all to see the Blue Men. Get ready to laugh yourself silly.

The show changes up a bit to keep things fresh but also keeps in some of the favorites. Just make sure you don't show up late - or maybe not. ;) The first couple rows are reserved for the splash zone but ponchos are provided. This was the fourth time I've seen Blue Man Group (second time in Chicago) and I think the Chicago theater has the best sound. It is a smaller theater making it so there is no bad seat in the house.

We went to the 2pm show, its was very entertaining and funny!! They pulled my son on stage, he was nervous. They 'married' him off to another audience member after a short funny courtship of a improv phone call, exchange of gifts (to include pink handcuffs) and a game of Twister. They interact with the audience member. So many visual effects (paint splatters) and the music they made with unusual items was uniquely artistic. The staff and security were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend! Tip: Don't be late, you might get a spotlight on you!! Also, all seats are great seats, because they come out to the audience...but your chances of getting pulled onstage greatly increases if you have seats near the aisle, ask my son, he even asked me after he got back from being 'married', did you have something to do with this...if only I could take the credit, Thank you Blueman Group for making this Chicago Trip a very memorable one!!

The blue man group was absolutely brilliant I love how funny/entertaining they are and they don’t even speak I was so excited when I got called up on stage to play the drums with them it was a very awesome experience. Just a heads up the first 3 rows are the poncho section and they provide them for you for free I definitely recommend the show

Last night was my first Blue Man group experience and these guys were awesome!!!! Funny as hell , well choreographed and executed! To my surprise I was brought on stage 😱- to play along with these tin percussion instruments 🥁- (I’m a guitarist but I have some rhythm as I play drum pads for my songs - demos/ 😆- They didn’t know this- which made it even funnier PLUS I was so into I was unaware they put a mullet on my head and a cape 😂 ! - nonetheless it was the best time I had in a long time - thanks guys u rock!!! Well worth it - GO SEEEEE THEM NOW!!!!!!!!! You’re gonna love it!!!!!!!

I wanted to get my wife tickets to see the BMG in Chicago for her birthday. I bought them on their website as advertised for $59.00/ea. I bought 2 tickets and when the credit card bill came with the fees that were tacked on the two tickets cost me $400.00. I've been to the show before and it was great. How do they get away with seeking in these charges?

Absolutely amazing Proper for all ages! You can go see this show with your friends or your date or your family or your coworkers! The show was just a very amazing and stimulating and diverse audio, visual and comical experience! The music was different and the visuals were great and the contents are all very original and fun to watch! Don't miss the opportunity and go watch them!

These guys were hilarious. Even their pre show stuff was so funny. They know how to use timing, include the audience, and make fun of things in such a perfect balance all without speaking one word which is incredible. Kids love it. Adults love it. Definitely go check it out!! (If you purchase on Groupon you get center seats while paying less than normal and every seat is a good seat)

It’s really hard to find things my 16 yr old son would enjoy and this was a hit! He was dancing around and giggling all night! Total win!

Totally beyond great. Didnt know much about this or what to expect. Went to a 5pm show, not heavily crowded. Face masks optional. The show was SOOOOO good. Sorry it tool so long to go. Definitely would go again. Be prepared for some audience participation

I was visiting Chicago & I was staying about 0.5 miles from Briar St theater so I decided to see the Blueman group. It was a nice show with lots of audience participation which made it fun. I had ticket for balcony but they allowed me to change to main floor for $10 extra. Show is only 1hour & 15 minutes so make sure to make it there on time because you don`t want to miss anything. Also, they show you on the big screen as a late arrival if you are late :) if you are staying in that I area I recommend it.

My husband and I went to one of the shows and we enjoyed it. We decided to be tourists for a night. Lol. The show lasted about 1.5 hours and I loved their was so much audience involvement. I would recommend this for the entire family. If you are going to bring young children, I would suggest ear protection for them. The show is loud.

Vaccine card and ID checked @ the door. Spacious venue. Not a bad seat really. Blue Man Group was very entertaining. U r not allowed to take photos or any videos of the show. I guess that's the allure. They don't the audience to know what their gonna do. It was really fun.

These guys are incredible and worth every penny and some!!! I would strongly suggest to take your family, friends or even go by yourself!!! This show is one for the ages and I mean all ages!!! Their show is way much more than what you may see on a commercial and or advertisement. They do so many things and keep you on the edge of your chairs!!! I truly like how their show involves the audience pretty much through out the hour and a half performance!!!

Excellent. Very wonderful audio and visual experience. If you have never been, I highly recommend it! They have a bar that's open before and during the show. They definitely partake with the crowd during the show. Front row is recommended, don't bother with the ponchos. You might get hit with a little bit of water but not paint. While I give 5 stars, to the folks who run the place: please upgrade the projectors you have. While the 90's video feel was cool, it is 2022. We have better picture on our handheld phones in our pockets. Also, rude security guard wouldn't let us take a picture literally a minute after doors closed. I was in the lobby waiting for my SO to get out of the bathroom and they closed the doors literally 2' away. Also there were a number of kids too that just wouldn't shut up. I get it, it's a fun show, but let others enjoy it. Can the mgmt endorse this? The gift shop could do better too. Again, amazing performance. Lastly, no photos as per establishment rules.

Maybe everyone knows this already but it’s the same exact show from 14 years ago….I hadn’t seen blue man group since 6th grade, I’m now 25 and thought why not go and see it again. I was baffled that the show hadn’t changed at all in 14 years. I guess it’s not a bad thing if you’d never saw the show but heads up for anyone who is a returning visitor. Other than that workers are nice and it’s still a cool experience.

Impressive and funny show, the people, the crew, the details... the show is interactive with the public and they give you a perfect performance. This was my third time seeing them and they never disappoint. I would like to recognize the manager, Justin at Briar Street Theater Chicago IL. Had concerns about the stairs with an handicapped attendee. Justin accommodate not only that person but her whole family of 10, by relocating the group.

Was a decent show ... I'm not sure if all venues are like this but it definetely wasn't as I expected. Old factory? Smell? Cold? Front row seats and sitting you could touch the dingy stage. Other then the building show was good.

Blue man's show was quite an experience for us and our two boys. The show is loud and has bright lights and is spontaneous like when someone came in late and the men started singing about theor tardiness and they had their 15 seconds of screen time. Some part of the show is pure nonsense and somewhat disgusting like eating the twinkies and throwing up. The music/band is very good, the audience participated well when asked to and the show is ok if you have never been to one. Cameras are allowed only before the show starts and the front benchers beware of splashing water and whatever else comes out of their costume.

Show was incredible. Getting in was chaotic and balcony seating was horrible. With over 100 seats empty on the floor I feel like those in the balcony should have been offered to move. For the price, balcony seating shouldn’t be sold at all. Almost half the stage was hidden with others trying to lean forward to see.

This is such a fun evening. Kids especially, all ages. Its very interactive with the crowd, and you can just hear the laughing all around as they perform. Unfortunately you can't take pictures, so I can't post anything but a must do. The venue is small so all the seats are great.

We had never seen them before. It was not exactly what we were expecting, but entertaining. The show consist of small skits and percussion music. There is also a band that plays along with them. It's located in a small community theater, which was OK, but not great. Another thing was they were relentless about masks and went up to people thru out the show to tell them to wear theirs mask properly.

First time seeing the show and I enjoyed it-- lots of excitement and unexpected aspects of the show. There were a few times that I felt as thought it might not be appropriate for kids under 12but all the kids there enjoyed it..especially the really really loud kids behind me...I ended up moving to another seat! All in all, I'm really glad I went to see the show.

We saw the Blue Man Group over spring break in Chicago, IL. Trying to find parking was very ugly, make sure you get there early to find a parking spot. We ended up several blocks away, but it's was nice out and found a cute shop on the walk so didn't mind. We got balcony seats, I was very pleased with them and enjoyed not being in the "splatter zone". There were no photos allowed during the performance but we took a few before the show. Music was great, I was worried the kids wouldn't like it but they all did. Very funny, and somewhat on the gross side of funny - again glad we were safe in the balcony. I wouldn't go again, but don't regret going. It was a great time and we had lots of fun, but once in a lifetime was enough. Very cool performance! Would recommend it.

Only seen these guys twice, but both times were amazing! The first time a few years ago, I went with my family, and we all had a blast. I went again this year on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend (great date idea) and undisappointedly, it was yet again a blast. They switch up the routine a bit, so it's never dull or repetitive, and they take special requests to personalize the show for a price. I'll definitely be coming back!

Great show to see. Great entertainment throughout the whole show. Great interaction with the crowd! The price per ticket is pretty high so I'm thankful for groupon. We were in town for the 2018 Chicago pride festival and this location was in walking distance. I would go again for sure but next time with our kids.

We’ve seen them twice before and this show was not as good. Some of the skits were just plain dumb/pointless…like when they passed the box around. Time they created a different act. It’s like they’re trying to hard to the point it’s no longer funny.

Very fun. Lots of good humor. Please keep family friendly. So hard to find a show you can take 8-16 year olds to. My kids loved it. But please! DON’T take kids younger than 8. I saw kids under 5 and babies there. It’s often very loud. Parents might not be disturbed by their kids crying but don’t ruin someone else’s night.

I went on with an organization to a touristic Chicago trip and this concert was basically the only memorable thing from the whole trip. I had an amazing time, I loved every moment of it, loved, loved LOVED. The performance was very impressive and hilarious, I can't remember a time I laughed that hard for so long, it was outstanding. If you're making a trip to Chicago or you're in the area I would highly HIGHLY recommend coming here, 20/10

4th time going (3rd in Chicago) over about 15 years. See the Vegas show if you're out there, it's higher budget. Knocked off a star for feedback from my kids, one of the scenes dragged out for a bit much. Still a phenomenal show. Keep in mind, this is an entertainment experience, not a concert. The 1 star reviews, they're simply too uptight or expecting a full concert. Still a great show! Was the first time my kids seen it. My 14 year old LOVED IT (and he doesn't like much, like any teen). My other kids who are younger gave it 7 out of 10. Kids under 5 wouldn't get the humor.

We were in the 3rd row and didn't get much except some banana puree on our ponchos. We went on New Year's Eve and I'd say it was still worth dressing up for even though you run the risk...

Very unique experience. I'm usually not into strange theater performances or comedy shows, but I was very entertained and had a lot of fun. I think everyone should see it at least once. The Blue Men are incredibly talented. One side note, bring cash because the bar doesn't accept cards.

Show was alot of fun! I enjoyed watching the band also. Brought people on stage and came out into the seating area to find them. Literally walked on top of the seats thru the audience. No intermission. Be on time or everyone knows your late. Parking on the side of the theatre if you get there early enough. Doors to get seated open 15 minutes before the show. Do sell alcohol and drinks, cash only for that part.

The theater was easy to find and was a nice theater. We were a bit disappointed in the show. We like the group's signature performance of colored water bouncing off the drums but they only did 1 song near the end plus about 10 seconds early in the show. The sewer pipe marimba was pretty cool but there was a lot of corny audience interaction which took time away from what the group is known for. Some people seemed to love the show, a few others appeared ambivalent. It is all in personal taste. We were nervous about going into an unknown part of town but the area looked nice and we felt quite safe with all the people around.

I went there with three teenagers, I am mid forties. To me the show was mediocre at best, and I was very disappointed with all the hype and the price of the tickets plus expensive parking.These three stars are not just one because the children were happy enough about the quality of the show. I don't think is age related, because my friend went not long before me, and she was excited and recommended this show. I can cross Blue Man Group out of my bucket list, I will never go to another show again, too much staring at each other suppose to be funniest thing in this show.

A must go, the color calibration and the synchronization is just amazing. Great theme going on for the act, the ambience of the theatre is pretty cool. Parking is a challenge, if you can get there a lil before the show they have adjacent parking which they have a flat fee for.

There are no words to describe how relieved I was that what we paid for these tickets was not a rip-off! What a fantastic show! The ads on tv don't begin to give any idea of what you should expect. Extremely inventive and completely original. We took our exchange student from South Korea and he loved it. I understand BMG just changed their show, so I guess we'll need to go again. I think I can force myself.

It was our first time there and it was a great show. Love that they get the audience to participate. We sat up in the balcony which is nice but they work on the sides and you cant see some of the clips.

I wouldn't suggest for people to buy front row seats, I went on a solo trip and wanted to get the best out of this experience. The show its more for kids that it is for adults. No, you wont get paint splashed on you. I would recommend more going to other events.

The Blue Man Group is the best audio-visual-comedic-improv experience known to mankind. Hands down. Their improvisation skills are so good, you can't even tell what's scripted and what isn't. And no, their extra antics aren't staged and they don't have audience members placed. I visited with a local band from Western NY and one of the percussionists was chosen for a bit involving percussion. Needless to say, he exceeded their expectations and were able to seamlessly adapt and (futilely) increase the difficulty. I would completely recommend this to anyone who is remotely interested in this kind of stuff.

I watched the Blue Man Group (Chicago)a little over four years ago when my high school went on its senior trip. A few weeks back, I heard from one of my friends from the Chicago area that the Blue Man Group sometimes gets a bad rep because of the violence and things like that that occur in Chicago, which does not make sense. Why would a show that has nothing to do with the violence happening there be condemned for it? I really enjoyed seeing the show because it was so overstimulating with its flashing lights, a bunch of things flying around and bouncing in the air, and performances like I hadn't experienced prior (not experiencing these things since). I recommend coming despite the bad things you've heard about the group because their excellence in skill and performance is worth overlooking the negativity that some people have against this group.

Street parking but metered. If parking at a meter be cautious as the signs around the area have time zone restrictions. I'm not sure if the building has valet parking. The performance was visually stunning! I will say that the performance was louder than I expected. If you have sensitive ears like I do you may want to bring ear plugs as you will still be able to hear everything well with them in your ears. Otherwise, I had a great experience.

Everyone has to do this once in their life. Parking is on site for 15 dollars. Show starts the same for the most part but it's always entertaining. I'm not a huge music person but I enjoy it very much. A little pricey but well worth it, and look around they have sales and discounted tickets all the time. Not a bad seat in the place.

We had a great time and the show was amazing. Everything we had hope it would be. We came from Alabama to Chicago for our band to be in the Festival of Lights Parade and caught the show the night before. There was an incident with the streamers getting caught on the spinners but we hacked them away and kept the man next to us from being strangled by them. Considering that a fluke, a technical issue, and not holding it against the show. It was an intellectually stimulating show, and I was glad that they show social conscience through charitable contributions. Photography is not allowed at all during the show, but they were extremely kind to give several of us an opportunity to take pictures with them afterwards. Bravo, Blue Man Group!

We have been here now twice. Would recommend paying for the lot next to the theater it is monitored and so much easier to deal with at the end of the show. Also would take pictures with the blue men at the end. Make sure you get up there early some people are shy, but the blue men only stay out for pictures for about 20 mins and then have to go back to get ready for next show. Obviously it is a good show if we are going twice. You couldn't pay me to go in the splash zone, but some kids find it super fun to be in the action. The live band they added this time reminded me of circuis de solei Ka show in Vegas a little in a good way.
