We saw A Soulful Christmas over the weekend. It was my first time there. I was a bit surprised at how small the theater is and wondered if that stage could really pull off a great show. I wish they served wine and some more food items. I am giving five stars because the show and performers were spectacular! What talent! There were a few hic-ups with the microphone not working, but they pulled it off nicely. It was also nice an intimate because we sat in the front row. I will definitely see more shows here.

Fun place, great show. Little Shop of Horrors was great entertainment, the cast was amazing. The theatre was clean. Needs another bathroom and the parking is difficult. We ended up paying to park in what looked like someone's driveway. Definitely go if you have the opportunity, it was worth it!

We got to see Little Shop of Horrors here, great play and a smaller venue. The show started late, however still worth it. Only recommend, allow some wine sales. Still worth it

This theater is fantastic. It is small so every single seat is a good one. Everyone working there makes you feel like you are welcome. The alley by the box office is breathtaking for photos. The lobby area is comfortable with great decor and memories of past shows. Bathrooms always clean. GO!You will LOVE it!

I saw the "Cotton Club"musical and it was great! This play runs until October 3, 2021. I recommend this play to anyone that likes music and dance. The cast is very talented and really give great performances! Please come out and support this African American owned theater.

Great place to watch a show! Clean, comfortable and not overly crowded. Enjoy the "Cotton Club" show that was featured. Get there early to get parking around the theater. Also, nice eateries around the theater.

This was a really great experience. I saw an amazing performance of "The Heights". It was a very professional, lively show that was exciting to watch. The proprietor of the venue was there and welcomed the audience in a very authentic way. All in all it was a really wonderful evening and I would highly encourage anyone to check this out.

We saw the play, Fences, at the theater on 5-25-18. The staff was warm and inviting. The theater itself was the right size to truly feel the engery of the actors - there isn't a bad seat in the house. The play itself was excellent. I saw the play on Broadway many years ago with James Earl Jones in the lead role. There was no disappointment in the delivery of this story from our own local actors. Thank you for providing quality entertainment here in Marietta!

I love the theater! It’s quaint and all of the seats are good. The actors are fantastic! My favorite play so far was Fences! I saw Fences on Broadway in New York when Lawrence Fishburne was the star and was pleasantly impressed by the performance at Theater in the Square! The show was just as good as the Broadway show! The Theater is set in a lovely location with the nice garden area outside. The inside lobby area is very nice and then the play area is nice and small and old school! It reminds me of sitting watching a school play. Raul and Emil are very nice. I’ve met them both! Keep up the good work! I’m so proud of you guys. Your theater is in a prime location and the plays are showcasing talent of people of color! This is our Theater!!!!

A very cozy and comfortable, yet spacious venue. The play, Othello was thoroughly entertaining. The actors and actresses were excellently cast and their performances were second to none. My wife, myself and my grandchildren were completely overwhelmed by everyone involved and they even got autographs from the actors. We will definitely be going back!!!

The New Theater on the Square is on the the best kept secrets in Marietta. My husband and I just attended one of their productions and it was awesome! This place is awesome! I met the General Manager, the Director of all the shows (Emil himself) the backstage helpers, the box office workers, they were all so friendly and very funny! Just saw the monologue "Hecho en Puelto Rico" and it was amazing. It was refreshing, educational, funny and even made some weep with pride. Please support this theater. This was the last of the Hispanic month production, but all their productions are great. Affordable tickets for plays and musicals.

Went to see a play called "The eve of Jackie" its a live replay of the last performance of the late great Jackie Wilson. The gentleman that plays Jackie has a voice that's out of this world. He did a great job. The show was amazing! If you get a chance while it's still here go check the show out.

Saw "Next to Normal" at the NEW Theatre in the Square this past weekend (April 3, 2016). The caliber of cast was as expected of a professional theatre. Great voices (when we could hear them), and solid emotional performances in a very comfortable and modern venue. However, the sound system issues were glaringly sub-par and was very frustrating. If the theatre cannot afford a new sound system at this time, please contract professionals until it can. Your performers and patrons deserve nothing less. Wishing the theatre a successful reprieve, but please take care that all aspects of the theatre experience are addressed.

It's a nice theater that's close to many restaurants. I've been there three times and the shows have been good. My only complaint is that each time I've been there they've had audio problems which distracted from the show. It's difficult to find free parking near the theater, but there are pay lots and garages.

Great local theatre to watch performances. The box office was insanely slow to process ticket sales and will call for the show we went to see. And the seating/ticket numbers were confusing, lots of people were sitting in the wrong seats and we had to sit somewhere different than where we'd paid for.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing our youth giving back to the community and this is exactly what these young people do with every play and event that they open up to the public. I traveled with my family from Orlando to see the play La Gringa and I was left with the satisfaction of knowing that my drive was not for nothing.
