Cody was a professional service technician. He was a bit late from his previous appointment, BUT personally phoned me notifying me of the situation and arrived only minutes late. He was very professional in his service, quick to get the job finished, and left the property clean and picked up. Thank you Cody for a great service experience, and a job well done. We are new to the area and hired Ryan Lawn & Tree to do some irrigation repairs, re-seed our lawn, correct some drainage areas and refresh our flowerbeds. Fort he most part the work was done without issue; however, the landscaping of the flowerbeds and the drainage area repairs were not completed. The total of the work is several thousand dollars and I was left disappointed in the work and communication. I’ve contacted our Ryan rep multiple times and believe there is a plan to complete the work, but as of this review it has not happened.

Removal of storm damaged limb in tree over driveway and will return at a later date for complete tree removal This service was completed on the day scheduled even though it was a rainy day, as they knew it was becoming a safety issue. After they cut the large limb down, they cleaned up the area and hauled off all debris. The two gentlemen were super nice, friendly, and completed the job in a very timely manner.

So far, our experience and lawn care is far superior than our TruGreen experience. The technicians have the knowledge and expertise to actually care for YOUR lawn and make it healthy. We had our first appointment with Ryan Lawn and Tree and are very pleased with their services. Our estimate appointment was with Aaron. He was punctual, cordial and knowledgeable. Within days, the service tech Jaren arrived for our first application. He was very professional and advised us of additional services provided Ryan Lawn & Tree. He took the time to answer questions we had about maintenance of our newly sodded lawn. I had Ryan's Lawn & Tree come out to cut down a dying red bud in my back yard. The initial crew of four guys showed up as scheduled. I showed them the area and asked them to try to avoid stepping on the flowers if possible. They got right to work, were incredibly organized and efficient, even in the triple digit heat. Since the tree did hang over a bit into my neighbors yard, they were as concerned about clean up there as in my own yard. The crew to grind out the stump showed up and after a discussion, they recommended I not proceed with the stump removal. They pointed out possibility of potential damage to other existing landscape with the stump removal. They made several suggestions of how to utilze the ground level stump and landscape around it. Brandon even took a look at my other trees in the backyard for any needs or problems they might have. He cut a couple of limbs off to encourage healthy growth. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge of all the variety of trees and their unique makeup. The crew referred to me by name, not "ma"am. They were polite and each one made a point of speaking to me. Upon Ryan's Lawn & Tree leaving the property, there wasn't any debris left in my yard, the neighbors yard or the street where they did the shredding and loading. Additionally, none of my flowers were damaged. Early in the spring/summer subcontractors with an area utility company came in and did a lot of damage to my yard, trees and invisible fence. They were rude and didn't repair or clean up after themselves. So having such a pleasant experience with Ryan's Lawn & Tree was a huge relief. I highly recommend them.

I use to get 3 to 4 bids before I started a project and after they did a few things for me, I came to realize their prices are equal or lower to others providing the same service in Wichita. Not only are their prices fair, they are just a great company to work with and for me that’s most important. Did you know they are an employee owned company? And their pride shows in their work. Ryan Lawn & Tree cut down a large Siberian Elm in my backyard for me. They did a great job and it was a fascinating process to watch. The tree was growing near some power lines and up against a fence. They were able to drop all parts of the tree without any damage to anything in the area. It was impressive! They cleaned up everything very thoroughly, even raking up all the little pieces. And added to all of that, the two members of the crew that I talked with were super friendly and helpful. Great job!

Josh was very friendly & professional. He took the effort to leaf blow the fertilizer that spilled onto our drive and patio back onto the grass. When I heard his blower shut off, I thought he was done, only to see him spraying for weed control. I know that a company wants to make a good first impression, but this was way over the top from the treatment we had received from TruGreen in the past. If this is the service that we can expect each visit, you have a long-term customer! I wished I had switched from TruGreen a lot sooner than I did.

They are amazing. I would never use any other company. I only wish they would provide discounts to disabled veterans. Yep years ago I was going to have my trees trimmed. About a month before we found out I had cancer. Because of the upcoming expense I had to cancel. When I explained why, 8 team members of Ryans gave up their Saturday and trimmed my trees at no charge. I was so moved by that gesture of caring about me, my illness and that I am a disabled veteran. Once you start using Ryan Lawn and Tree you won’t want to use anyone else.

We had a wonderful experience with Ryan Lawn and Tree. We had a large, dying pine in our yard that needed removal along with the stump being ground out. I contacted them through their website and was promptly contacted back by Josh, who scheduled an evaluation. A few days later we got an email for the estimate for the work and the price was great. Lucky for us they had an unexpected cancellation and Luis was able to get it done without us having to be there. (Absolutely wonderful since we cannot easily take off from work!) I am not happy in any way, shape or form with Ryan's 'Lawn Service' program. Just to make things clear; their 'Tree service' is outstanding! Regarding my lawn care; This was supposed to be a full year of needed services including fungicides but they evidently read the lawn wrong and even after 2 applications I still had Brown Spot front and back. Their seeding must have included some Rye grass because late summer it burned up in the heat in several places and is still bare. I will have to re-seed myself in the Spring. There is nothing special about their fertilizers. They only give you an overnight notice before coming out. Today I asked them for a little time so I could remove all the leaves in the yard. The guy said they needed to wait on the frost to be gone anyway, so he would be late as it is. AT 9:15 they showed up and I had not a chance to remove them yet, so this application was probably wasted. This is normal with them, notifying you by email late at night that they will be by in the early morning. People need more time to prepare their yard for the application. I will NOT be back. Again their Tree service is outstanding!

Alex, the Ryan pro had just sprayed our neighbor's trees for bagworms, so I asked for an estimate to spray ours. He provided a very reasonable estimate, and offered to spray before leaving, which he did. Our trees are 80 to 100 feet tall, a bit higher than the sprayer would reach, but a big decrease in festation. Thank you Alex.

Have used Ryan Lawn and Tree for years. Have been satisfied with every service done whether it be caring for my trees, tree or shrub removal, or caring for my lawn. They have made their best efforts to fit my work schedule (my back yard is locked and I have dogs so I have to be home). They might cost more than other lawn treatment companies but the value received far outweighs the cost. They ARE VERY professional and know their stuff. 2021: I was concerned about our lawn and called Mike Day, who is our Turf Route Manager with Ryan Lawn & Tree. Within an hour, he stopped by, saw the armyworms, and promptly put us on the schedule to be sprayed. The next morning he was there and applied their insecticide. His communication skills have been greatly appreciated. I have been impressed with his expertise and how he prioritizes excellent customer service. He is a great asset to the company! 2022: Jaren Giesick has taken over Mike Day's route this year. To begin with I was a little apprehensive but Jaren did not disappoint. His attention to detail and being thorough was greatly appreciated. He did an excellent job. Ryan's is not the cheapest in town but they go that extra mile that makes the difference and will work with you!

I really appreciate the "summer / fall" check up recently done by contract with Ryan, I was a little surprised when they arrived on 8/13,,,,, I had them down in my appointment book for 8/31 so they came a little early but that's okay. They did change coverage of some sprinkler heads to now cover some new bushes we have had changed out.....timing was great for the new bushes.....thanks for the courteous and friendly and timely service. Hope it continues since the merger they had with my previous sprinkler service company......So far so good.....

Just before this season we switched to Ryan thinking maybe our grass would look BETTER with their service...I really care about our lawn. So far, our experience has been very disappointing. So far since we switched to Ryan, Preston did a spray on July 30 at the height of worm season and didn’t even bother to tell us we should have included the worm spray, as a result of this lack on Ryan's part, we lost half of the grass in our backyard, then Preston told us he had no time to do the worm spray and that we should go to Lowes and do it ourselves. Due to the worm damage we now need overseeding and I have contacted Ryan twice to say I needed to speak with them ASAP as we will be out of town for a week and I want to discuss how to handle this. No one is returning my calls. My lawn looks TERRIBLE since switching to Ryan and no one there even seems to care enough to return my calls. If I could give them a ZERO I would. Josh, Please give me Preston’s number so I can contact him.

Came out to do some work on my sprinkler system. Ended up having to replace several solenoids and rebuilding most of the valves. It was expensive but everything works as it should now. Chris did an excellent job of communicating with me throughout the work. Anthony was also great on follow up after our service was done. These guys will do it like you would if you only had time!

I have a beautiful, gigantic Cottonwood in my backyard that had a very large, 18” diameter limb that hung over my back fence and into my neighbors tree. Ryans professional crew removed that limb, which required two guys climbing very high into my tree and the neighbors tree……. requiring careful thought and extreme caution. In about 3 1/2 hours time, everything was done….. lawn raked…. entire limb and foliage chewed up by their giant chipper. No damage on anything. I have used these guys before on removing an entire large Austrian Pine. Everyone on their crew has a mission…. working like clockwork, they are there to do business. I’m 100% happy…… can’t beat that!!

I called 4 different tree trimming companies for quotes. Ryan by far was the most professional. They showed up dressed professionally, they were actually able to communicate professionally (yes, this was much different than 2 of the other 3 competitors I called). They walked my property with me and then after we were done, within 15 minutes or so I received a professional looking quotation by e-mail. When the crew arrived a few weeks later I asked that they give me a call before they arrived, which they did. I was greeted at my from door by a very professionally dressed man in safety gear with a tablet that had the work order correctly detailed. We did a quick walk around then afterwards 4 other crew members arrived. They did a walk around of the trees to be trimmed as a group where it appears they were all advised of exactly what needed to be done. They were all dressed in bright safety gear, they all had hard hats. Then they went to work. It was like a commercial was being filmed. I have had other tree trimmers work on my property who bring workers that look like they just came from a rehab home. As a homeowner the liability of having this type of work performed on your property is a concern. I was very comfortable with Ryan and will definitely use them again. BTW, as far as pricing they were very competitive. So you get quality and competent people at a fair price.

I hoped that the lawn would have been restored to its nearly original condition.

This was our first experience with Ryan. They removed our backyard sweetgum tree. This tree was in a fairly tight spot next to the house, trampoline, and fence, with numerous sprinkler heads in the path of the trunk coming down. So needles to say, I was expecting at least one branch would miss the mark and hit/break something important. Well they proved me wrong! Every single branch and ultimately the tree were brought down with expert precision, hitting nothing in their path. They also ground the stump and roots down. True to their word, you can't tell a tree used to exist there. They even volunteered to help me use the mulch shavings from the ground stump to fill in some low spots in the yard. All-in-all, very professional and courteous crew, will definitely call on them for additional yard needs when they arise.
