Reviews of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Marc Atkinson
Major 30 minute delay sitting on the airplane while we waited for the gate and skybridge operators to come over. Tons of airport construction inside the terminal made finding the Metro entrances less then easy. Hopefully the changes and construction going on will eventually solve that problem. Overall the food choices were sufficient and as reasonable as you would expect from any US airport.
A Mexican Pizza
Decent airport; layout is pretty good. The train connection service is excellent. Food options are fairly sparse though. And, if you can find someplace good to eat; good luck finding a seat. Restaurants tend to get and stay pretty crowded.
Vinny F
Very nice airport with great access to many restaurants without having to go through security more than once. Airport is very well taken care of and is very clean on the inside. As some others have said, it doesn't seem crowded and the layout is easy. It is not a very difficult airport to navigate which is a major plus.
Rut Dogg
Had a layover here, not bad. Decent restaurants. Enjoyed a good meal and a cold drink. I was not happy to be there, because I had a flight canceled, so I was redirected to this airport. The representatives I worked with were helpful and positive. I would definitely fly here again. Overall a good experience which is harder to find in today's climate with canceled flights and such.
Danira Ortiz
Great airport. Huge. Didn’t feel crowded. Many food options. We ended up eating at Kapnos Tavern and it was delicious. Super cute pet relief area. Although I wasn’t traveling with my pet I thought that was super thoughtful. Very clean, including the bathrooms which looked super updated with beautiful doors and the toilets that automatically move the seat cover.

I always enjoy flying into this airport. The views of the city are spectacular! You can see many of the monuments and other landmarks clearly upon approach. Getting to/from the Metro is fast and easy, and the Metro platform provides an awesome view of the uniquely designed main terminal and air traffic control tower.
Gourmand
While the airport is massive allowing for lots of space and no crowds, the layout is pretty bad.
First of all, getting to the car rental center is kind of a pain. What’s even worse is when you try to return your car, it is pretty confusing and not clearly marked.
Going through security lines is quite long, even the TSA pre-check line!
The main hall of the airport is quite nice, but the different wings to the gates look outdated. Lounges in the airport are also quite small.

Reagan national airport is a very unique airport is full of culture and diversity. lot of name brand companies the staff at each location very friendly and helpful not pushy and overbearing. This is one of the few airports I can say things are really spaced out a lot of people but definitely spaced out clear directions to where you need to get to and you can definitely find the restroom when you need it unlike other airports kind of hard to locate.
Deborah Pagel
Great little airport. Easy to get in and out! Renovation Changes put in place are very thought out and useful.
Going thru Security is well organized, effective, and efficient!
United Club on B area is a great place to relax. Food area set up is clean and spacious. Food offerings terrific. Great bar. Caroline at UA reception is fantastic, kind, helpful, and efficient. She and her colleague are very customer focused.
I enjoyed my time at the airport.
Traveling O
Reagan Airport is mid-size but VERY busy. Lots of great stores and places to eat.
It's pretty easy to get around and lots of signage. We had a REALLY tight connection and made it easily.
Richard Castilla
Just had a one hour lay over. Enjoyed finding views of several monuments from inside the terminal. Had a Five Guy burger and fries. Thanked four outstanding naval service men for their service.
Mohsen
A convenient airport to choose if one needs to work/visit the central part of Washington DC. The airport should be renovated to become more representative. The security check staff are pretty unprofessional, though: unpleasant to speak to, occupied with their own internal jokes and loud games with very little attention to security and passengers. I personally consider them nonchalant.
Rhonda Boggan
You can't beat the Renaissance Hotel!! Just under 2 miles from all of the major sight-seeing locations. The rooms are very spacious! The housekeeping staff amazing, especially Fatma. She greeted me every morning that I stayed there.
Sadie B
This airport is always kelp clean and has relatively short lines. Easy to get to by train, and has lots of food/gift shop options. Great place to grab the obligatory freeze dried ice cream from the Smithsonian for your family/friends...
Michael Doby
Traveling through Reagan National was a quick and pleasant experience. Security was efficient and friendly and got us to our gate very quickly. The airport itself is very clean and well lit with lots of natural light, even on a cloudy day! Looking forward to my next time going through!

Very cool airport! I enjoyed all the food options, & for me it was extremely easy to navigate! I enjoyed the shops, & the staff was very nice! I didn't get to see it for long, but it was enjoyable! I got to snap a few pics with my camera...but, this was by far my favorite! I got to visit the Smithsonian....store! Very cool items, & I picked myself up a magnet!

I arrived today at the airport. When the jetblue flight arrived, we sat on the tarmack for an hour because we arrived early and the airport couldnt find a gate for us. Almost an hour later, we finally arrived to the gate.
The airport is massive inside. As you take the escalator to ground transportation, we had a long wait for our bags. Finally they arrived and I was on my way.
Gay Vagabond
I really like DCA National because it is so easy to get in and out without a fuss. A big plus that they have new security gates and ticketed passengers are free to roam around the airport terminals B and C. Also, the subway is connected which is awesome. You can find some fabulous views on take off and landing.
Michael Del Rosario
Originally opened in 1941 as the National Airport, Ronald Reagan International is one of three airports severing the local market, with Dulles being the larger and busier airport. Located South West of DC, the Reagan airport is just on the other side of the Patomac river in Virginia.
Walking through the airport for the second time, I get a lot of steampunk vibes from the architecture. Maybe it's all the glass and steel, or maybe it's the arches, whatever it maybe it's still a pretty cool airport with a distinctive style
Day J
Traveled Dec 6 2021. Still required to were a mask. Airport wasn't crowded. Two minutes to go through security check. I love the Christmas tree by the security exit to go to gates C 1 through 35. You will also find big screens showing your location and places to eat. Nice experience.
Alan Barta
I am lucky because I live within walking distance of this great airport. I fly in and out of Washington National Airport at least 5 times a month. The new security stations and TSA service is great. I subscribe to Clear and Pre-check so going through security is always swift and pleasant. Having check-in kiosks and baggage check near security expedites departures. The Delta Sky Club in the B concourse is close to the gates and always a joy to visit. Baggage sometimes takes longer to arrive at baggage claim than at other airports but that is a minor annoyance that does not bother me. Overall, I love flying in and out of Washington National Airport.
John Webber
This is one of my favorite airports in the United States. Such a joy to fly in and out and see the capitol and monuments as you land. The architecture of the airport is very cool. TSA pre check is very efficient. Nice selection of restaurants. Super easy connection to the Metro, and you’ll be in central DC in 30 minutes.
Paulita Trezevant
This E terminal... pretty nice. I see a PF Chang's coming and there is a Wolfgang Puck bar. There are lots of high tables with charging able chairs with plug outlets. So over this is a good terminal.
Asif Rehmani
A decent small airport but I found it to be a bit dingy and old looking in places.
I have been coming here for many many years and even though some of the places have been updated with new stores and nice decorations, most of the investments it seems have been done by private merchants and not by the airport authorities themselves. I found the areas around the gates to be pretty outdated.
Overall, not a bad airport. Just small and not as great as other regional airports in the country.
Midknight Mechanics
This is a very nice airport- lots of good places to grab food, and the Delta Sky club at B15 is HUGE. The rental car options are massive (inventory). The people are nice too.. Which is hard to find @ an airport.
Jeffrey Lippert
I was flying out of Southwest airlines which is in terminal 1. Terminal 1 is a 15 minute walk through the other terminals from where the Metro train lets you off. Be sure to leave enough time to get to your Southwest flight. Highly recommend taking the Metro blue line to Reagan national airport as its inexpensive and fast, two to three dollars.
Shaniece Degazon
Literally one of the most unorganized airports ive ever seen in my life. Ny and nj airports would never. The american airline luggage support was no dam help either. Simply telling me to wait outside the office as they help other customers who were all on the same flight as me coming from lga to dca after telling them that my luggage did not come out at the carousel 9 almost a whole 40 minutes after landing. Couldnt pay me to come back with terrible customer service like that.
Update 6 hours later i finally got my bags delivered from lga to dca and was able to pick it up at the airport in the morning.the other option that was available was a delivery option to my house which would take 72 hours
Beth
Beautiful airport. Easy to walk around and find the next destination. Plenty of shops and food choices. Would love to visit again!
TRC
This airport is a nice and small, which makes it easier to get around to get to your gate. From my point of view of going to this airport, all I have to say is that it’s a great airport for scenery, locating your gate, and traveling to Washington, D.C. This airport is also pretty busy but not as busy to where there is too many people, there’s only a decent amount of people here considering it’s right by an iconic tourist destination. There is also Metro station here as well too, which gives you easy access to D.C and all the other places that are in Virginia and Maryland (like Tyson’s, Silver Spring, and other cities). Also if you’re traveling to D.C. and choose to stay in luxury, then I recommend going to Crystal City and or Pentagon City. Both of these cities have really luxurious hotels, restaurants, and shopping places! But D.C. also has some NICE hotels too like the Hyatt Regency and Embassy suites. But that’s all I have to say about this airport, so if you’re traveling to D.C. then I recommend this airport for an easy and quick route to get to the City. Now if you’re person traveling internationally, doesn’t like small airports, and somewhere where there are very few people, then I recommend flying in to Dulles international airport (which I already gave a review on, so I recommend checking that review out if you want to know more about this airport). Other than everything else, I rate this airport a 10/10 for their service, size, and being Washington D.C’s city airport. Fun fact, this airport is just a smaller version of Dulles international airport since both of the airports are meant to be Washington, D.C’s main airport.
Robert Vasko
Very well laid out. Long walk from one side to the other with some people moving escalators in between. Really good shops and top of the line resteraunts like Wolfgang puck.
Gaguk Yudiarinto
I just stop over in RRWN IAP in my flight from Chicago to Boston. My last trip to DC is in 2014.
This IAP is huge, clean, and bright. It was Memorial day so I can find some flags and banner to commemorate the veterans and people who filled their calling to defend this wonderful country.

Airport seems fully operational pushing towards or beyond capacity. At domestic departures, security check lines were backed up and crawling just before Noon on Saturday 17th Dec 2022. I expected the supervisors to Spring into auxiliary mode and ramp up the checks to regenerate momentum, but lines remained stagnated in slow flow. I guess the risk analysis must hold a justification for these slow patches and the inaction. Other than that, the discipline of tge public and their civility and cooperation were apparent!
nsi okosi -enroute O'Hare!
Leduan Flores
Nice airport, small and easy to follow the path. Landed around noon, and it was all good. It is very centric and close to a lot of places.
Mayuresh Deladia
International airport with smooth security checkin process with great architecture and also providing various food outlets with delicious cuisines and bars
* dnainsb
Easy place to take off and land from different cities. Very nicely done on the interior and efficient with the luggage. They had a great system set up for Uber and Lyft. I wish they had a little bit more choices of places to eat otherwise great place to fly in or out of.
George Koshy
An easy to pass through the airport. Love the place for most of my transits too
Michael Amamieye
Great airport servicing several cities in the DC area. It's not as busy as Atlanta or Houston but the line going through security was long. Thank God for internet that works here.
Mike Tucker
It still sticks in my craw that the premier airport in the Nation’s Capital honors President Reagan, who fired striking air traffic control workers in 1981 when they refused to follow his executive order and return to work. The workers were seeking higher pay and a shortened work week due to stress. Really, whatever your politics, you’ve got to admit President Clinton’s decision to sign legislation honoring Reagan’s 87th birthday in this way is, well, questionable. Still, DCA (located in Arlington, Virginia,) remains a fantastic port of departure and arrival because of its location—about five miles from Washington and nearby Maryland and Virginia suburbs. My recent Midwest trip featured the usual shops and restaurants. And the in airport environs and restroom were basically clean. The cab stand seems further away than previous trips. I’ll tell you about the new terminal when I get to use it. Meanwhile, fly safe, which seems to be harder to do. According to recent media reports, TSA at DCA stopped a man from taking a loaded gun onto his flight.
Jeffrey Tsai
Airport is nice and clean. Has a dedicated rideshare pickup area. Would be nice if the seats had outlets/ports - unfortunately Reagan still has the old school charging stations
Konstantin Treshchev
This airport still makes you take off your shoes and take a laptop out.
Overall - nice airport, has some food options and you can also have a look at the monuments while your plane is landind or after takeoff.
Christopher E
I was only there for less than 20 minutes to make my layover flight. But the AA team at gate 56 was very accommodating. I am extremely appreciative!
James Barton
This is a well run airport, with a nostalgic feel. TSA is professional, friendly, and thorough. Airline staff is similarly effective in engaging with the travelers. There are great food choices and (other than the traffic getting to the airport... allow plenty of time) this is not a super-crowded airport (like ATL or CLT).
Chris
DCA terminal 2 has definitely improved over the past few years. Having the larger security check points makes it much easier to move around the whole terminal rather than each individual section.
Nabhodipta Sil Upadhyay
Greatly improved since l last visited. Expanded too. Baggage claim time gap between touch down and carousel start is also pretty short. That gate 35x is gone! Amenities wise the airport is good, lots of options, decent enough place for lounging, security check lines are moderately fast (then again, my experience can vary with others). Overall good experience.
Ukvayat Hanak
If you've only flown large airports, you will love the feel and efficiency of Reagan Airport. Small compared to other airports but not too small. Takes you into the heart of the Nation's capital where it is easy to get into or put of. A varied selection of food, businesses, and vendors on site if you missed all the gift shops around DC. I simply love flying through here.
Mathew Crichton
Great airport for easily flying in/out of DC. Never too busy, and the security line moves pretty quickly. I love grabbing a drink before the flight, but the bar is a bit expensive. I do love being able to order/pay from the tablets though.
Carlos
Relatively new airport. It is spacious, good layout with many choices to get a meal or a drink. They could label the airline clubs better.
Harry Shao
Short stay here with connection to Indy. Typical Monday morning crowd in the airport. Like te atmosphere of this airport, can see tge designer's efforts in every corner, even in restroom. Great job!!
Duke Nguyen
Ronal Reagan Airport is the number one choice for travelers in the DMV area. It offers convenience and an overall pleasant experience. The airport is clean, spacious, and well organized. The check-in process is quick and efficient and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Security lines move quickly and there is an array of shops and restaurants to choose from. Flight departures and arrivals are timely and it is easy to find your way around the airport. As a result, Ronal Reagan Airport should be the top choice for anyone flying to or from the DMV area.
Dennis Peter Kamoen (DPKamoen)
I love Reagan National, DCA. Nice, nice, nice. The Pepsi Hanger, reminds me of John Belushi saying, “No Coke, Pepsi!” long ago on SNL. Terminal E is new and gorgeous. Great food all around.
Kinga W
Beautiful architecture, easy flight connection options. Variety of restaurants and stores. I was surprised majority closed before 9 pm.
Leanna Curry Larson
Airport has good signage. There's information that flashes regarding transportation and where to find it. Warning....it is very crowded in this airport. Outside the doors there are enough employees to assist with what you need. I found this place to be well organized for patrons to be so big. Oddly along the corridors there are self serve items lining the walls as you walk toward baggage claim. Baggage claim was the only area that was a little confusing. My airline information was on one screen but my luggage came out on a different conveyor. Luckily for me my luggage is noticeable so I was able to glance over and spot it.
J Pokakaa
Nice airport. It closes early so don't expect food or snacks after 10pm. Easy airport to get around
Shelby Dirkschneider
Kind of dirty airport but close to DC. Flying southwest in terminal A( 9gates total with not much seating) . There is construction for loading and unloading so you can follow signs to either location. Air ducts seem to have mold on them. Overall airports serves it's purpose and TSA precheck was nice and quick.
Dr. Sadiq Aziz khoshnaw
Small and calm airport. Very good service, fast check in and security check .
James B.
This is always been one of my favorite airports because the architecture really represents thoughtful planning and high aspirations to make traveling a special experience. The airport opened before the big security push, following 911 and things didn't always work so smoothly when they had increased security. However, they've recently completed a major renovation to the airport space and there's now a single consolidated area for TSA screening and they've opened up most of the airport. So once you pass screening you can enjoy the shopping and the food court and other options. It works much better now and I'm pleased to say that they've returned the airport to its former grandeur.
Sarah B
Landing on at a 4,simply because it was so dang warm inside. Given the amount of people, some running for connections, it does not need to be 5000 degrees inside. Especially with the warm temps outside.
Aside from it being too warm, it was clean, excellent signage (key to make those connections) had plenty of charging and work stations for the longer wait times. Good selection of good in Terminal 2.
Danielle Rivera
Lots of food selections and cool architecture, the only thing that could make it better is baggage trolly rentals for if you're having to walk a long way to a connecting flight.
Jonathan Bishop
Somewhat modernish airport with convenient access to the Metro. The amenities are pretty sparse though, so it's not somewhere you'd want to spend much time. There's no Priority Pass lounge, and the seats at the gates don't have outlets... pretty lame for an airport this big and in the literal capital of the free world.
Mary Casto
Since the major renovations a few years ago the airport is way better. I love having the metro stop there. It makes it so convenient. I've found the bathrooms to be pretty consistently clean and employees are helpful.
Amanda Turcotte
Great airport just outside DC proper. I like all the easy access to public transportation. The food options are pretty diverse and you can find quality restaurant food as well as beverages. I wish the process of going from the ticket counter to baggage drop and then to the security check point was not such a trek, but you can't have everything, I guess. This airport is a major hub for domestic travel; so be aware, but it is still way better than other hubs like Chicago O'Hare. Thanks.
James Buck
Such an easy airport for a major city! Always love DCA! Hundred times easier than Dulles if you’re going into Washington.
Desiree
Airport that is easy to navigate. Insufficient seating at gates. I dislike the bag drop off process - you tag the bag in one stop and drop it at another instead of having the agent take the bag and drop it with them. It's not the end of the world but does add steps and is one more thing when you're already schlepping other stuff and in some cases other people. Airport is clean and otherwise great!
Rachel M
Fairly easy to navigate despite its large size. There are lots of different restaurants, cafes, and shops to walk around in and explore if you're experiencing a layover. Make sure to get here early for your flight because it is usually very packed, and it can take a while to get through TSA.
Master Barghaus
Nice, clean airport. Minimal places to eat. Slightly surprising Washington DC would have such a small airport.
Oak Metcalfe
Decent for a dated airport. They are working on it currently. Plenty of dining and clean. Bathrooms are always in the process of being cleaned when I come through here so they stay on top of that stuff. Best part is the on site access to the Metro for transportation into the city.
Robert Cheng
Reagan National is a good airport but to travel around it is definitely a headache especially when you are not familiar with the area. There are some renovation works on going at terminal C but it did not affect the travelers much. The airport is clean and the TSA check point line itsn't that long and move fast enough
Phil Keeve
You cannot beat the location of this airport for DC access via road or the Metro. The architecture is beautiful and having the security relocated makes the shops much more accessible. Some of the gate areas are a bit tight but efficient operations clear the areas out, and the facilities are easy to navigate thanks to clear signage. It's not a perfect airport, as I wish the gate areas were larger, but it's the best choice for access to the national capital.
Alexander Fowlkes
It's a classic airport. I show up 2 hours early every time thinking I'll need that much time, 30 mins and I'm at my gate every single time. Security can be a little cold towards you, but they're quick and good at what they do.
Best airport around the area when it comes to getting you where you need to go.
Food options are in no way limited.
Charita Petrina
Convenient to the Metro, relatively reasonable airline prices, and clean. The vendors are a mixed bag of value (in terminal E, you can buy a burger for $15 at a counter or, across the corridor you can get a large carry out kebab bowl for $12). Security was efficient, and no one was surly this last trip.... bonus.

Location: 5
Cleanness: 4
Customer Service: 5
We flew into the DCA airport this weekend to check out some local attractions. Our flight arrived on time to the scheduled gate. This airport has plenty of signs to guide visitors to the baggage claim or transportation spots. The restrooms was somewhat clean, but they could've been much better considering the high volume of travelers.
This airport made it very easy to find the rental car companies. Which was nice after a long flight and tme being essential.
David Bishop
My favorite domestic airport. When cities build an airport, they should go to DCA to see how it's done on a small footprint.
After the expansion of the terminal and the departure of 35X (good riddance), the airport is clean, well-organized and has a good flow throughout. Plenty of food and retail options and the TSA checkpoint, especially coming from the Metro flows nice. Very efficient and friendly staff. The AA bag drop and kiosks when you enter the terminal from the Metro are convenient and much appreciated.
The new AA Admiral's Club in Terminal E is beyond beautiful. Great amenities and great views of the airfield and city.
Tookie Williams
This airport as of now is decent, they are doing construction and it will look much better. It’s old but I like it because it’s not busy and huge. Flying is easier here because of BWI and IAD not far. Pick ups and drop off are also easy, a few more food places and it’s perfect.
Steve P
An architectural marvel, but also pretty decent airport depending on which carrier you're on. Really appreciate the amount of areas to sit or relax while waiting, and a lot of great dining options too. Accessible and spacious and great views of the tarmac. Limited international flights.
Jeffrey Stajich
Medium size makes it appealing. Parking is close to the terminals or using the metro allows for easy access. Some of the terminals could use refurbishing. You get your bags in baggage claim quite fast.
N'Quari Simon
As airports go, this one wasn't too bad. Prices weren't too steep, and despite remodeling it is an impressive looking airport.
Robert F
This airport is close to downtown Washington. It's easy to get around. I believe its entirely domestic flights and mostly up and down the East Coast.
The restaurants in the airport are okay relative to most airport restaurants. I ate a meal at a restaurant called Cava, which was one of the best meals from an airport restaurant I have ever eaten.
This airport does what you need from a airport and is recommended.
Nahani Meuse
Great airport outside the capital. Professional agents. Souvenir and convenience shopping in terminals. Easy to navigate
Paul Chiland
Airport renovation and construction continues, but the changes at National have really improved one of the most convenient airports in the country. I love that you now go through security directly after ticketing area to give you total access to all gates, shops and food establishments in airport without having to go through multiple TSA security screenings.
Michał Niezgoda
Great building. Arrived 2hrs ahead of my flight and had to wait 20 mins for Delta staff to appear and start processing passengers.
Charlie Charlton
Used for domestic flight from Orlando
Clean, clearly signposted, quick access to metro transit system
Pat Champion
Horrendous long walk from Metro subway to Southwest terminal at the other end of the airport. Airport not bad if you on a carrier near the subway. Will see next time if there is a bus between subway and the far terminal. Thought I was risking a heart attack rushing to get on the subway. Staff were good at security, etc. Not busy at all, even during rush hour, so security went quickly. So so fast food options. Parts of inbetween building near southwest side look like they were built in the 1930's. Surprising and very worn looking.
Linda Austin
Southwest canceled on me so I had to pay an additional cost and got on American airlines, 3 days later, great experience and very easy process. I like that they have there own terminal. Since returning Southwest has since given me 25,000 points for the trouble, reimbursed my canceled return flight, and from the lady on the telephone told me they will be sending me a check for what I had to pay for my return ticket. Thank you Southwest, I will continue to fly with your airlines.
Michael Mullady
Beautiful airport!! I quickly passed through for a connecting flight but next time I visit DC I will have to fly here. Be sure to have a window seat if you can you will get wonderful views of the monuments around DC (might depend which side you're sitting on)
Philli Tweetie
Lots has changed since the last time I was there in 2012. Still easy to maneuver the gates.
Good food and drink options.
Lots of snacks on the go with easy pay. Some areas do not accommodate mobile wallet pay yet.
Esteban Ortiz Prado
It is a small airport in comparison, with other airports in the US , the shops are OK, and the lines for the check in and the security checkpoints were fast enough, nothing to regret that is not amazing terms of architecture or modernity neither in the sights buddy that’s fulfill its objective , the bedrooms wear smaller than other airports therefor were very crowded

I recently flew into Reagan when visiting the D.C. area. I’ll admit that this was the longest I have ever waited to get my baggage. The taxi line was super short and it was a quick and easy ride into the city. There are a fair amount of eating options, but the eating/shopping situation was very confusing. It almost seemed like an honor system. You order your food and/or grab whatever you want, then go to one of the few self-checkout kiosks to pay for it. There were a couple of staff to assist if needed, but it was a strange situation all around.
Rich Story
Great Airport, plenty of food choices with some of the normal airport shopping. Plenty of places to sit and get caught up on emails between flights.
Michell Rosario
It was a bit crowded, not to many places to get food in the terminal I was in. Restroom was not the cleanest. But flying out the view was beautiful
Cj Crossthwaite
I can't say it wasn't good but i was there so shortly i couldn't see much bad. I guess if everything goes smoothly and the airport is not that memorable, it's well scheduled and maintenanced. Can't say much else other than it went very smooth and quick. However...its DC so best not to linger anyways 😬🤞 …
David Kelly
Flew out of here to Atlanta to see family, quite easy to get to from downtown DC. Just need to get on a yellow or blue line train. Only 20 minutes from Downtown. Quite convinient, security was quite fast. They have some good restaurants there all close to my gate. Would fly out of here again.
Jennifer “Foodiejenz” Zheng
The airport was disappointing. They lacked food places and had a whole bunch of coffee shops. I had to settle for the places they did have and it wasn't too bad. I tried Ben's, had their famous Chilli dog and also ordered a side of fries. It was pretty good
Noel Cruz
Great airport 🛫 🛬 very modern, clean, spacious …
Evan Johnson
Great Airport. International flight at six wanting to get here two hours before at southwest opens at four so we had to wait a bit. TSA was smooth. Food was not available until 6.
I.E. Xam
The popular airport being the closest to downtown. Major remodeling in recent years has paid off. Much easier to get around. I would only avoid on the highest travel days such as Wed before thanksgiving and xmas eve etc.
Mark Allen
this is my favorite airport to fly into. You get great views of the city. Pilots basically fly up or down the Potomac. Weird location of ticketing counters. Ticketing counters are upstairs and TSA screening is downstairs, at least a terminal 2
Jeff Smith
I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to call out over the top service that I received Today. This morning while I was getting my rental car I realized that I had left my Cell phone on the Airport shuttle bus. I quickly ran back to the bus stop and to my surprise the bus driver was sprinting towards me with my Cell. I travel about 35 weeks a year and I wish this was the norm in service - that act of patience and kindness saved me hours of headache.
Michael Shuman
Airport is showing it's age. Not many recharge areas. Most are standing. At 4:30pm couldn't get a Frappuccino from Starbucks. They were not making them. In the terminal 2 D Concourse the water bottle fill station was not very clean and the filter light was red. I consider that the biggest deal.
Pablo Landsmanas
I recently took a trip to Miami from DCA and I was amazed by the efficiency and convenience of the airport. The distance to the city is amazing - there's a metro stop just outside the airport and it's super easy to get to your destination. Plus, you don't have to show up super early for your flight - everything runs on time and gets you to your gate quickly. The staff are also really friendly and helpful. All in all, for its convenience, efficiency and staff, I highly recommend choosing DCA if you're travelling to Washington DC.
Jasmine O'Conner
This is a nice and clean airport. I was a bit confused about where security was located, but was able to quickly get help. I didn’t have any issues flying into or out of this airport via Delta.
Note: Security is located at the far North and South ends of the airport.
Katie Aubuchon
Moving security out had made visiting the airport more pleasant- you are no longer restricted just to your own gate and can access a variety of lounges and restaurants. The new terminal and removal of x gates is also a welcome upgrade.
Fernando Méndez
Nice airport with everything it needs to have. :-)
Audra Kramer
Everything runs very smoothly at this airport. I really like that it is so easy to get from the city to the airport via the metro. I did have to spend the night here once and it was not the best airport for sleeping…but other than that it is a good airport.
Sylvia Lin
Convenient airport to DC. Easy access Metro.
Nikhil Dogra
Right in the heart of DC, but does not compare in emenities with other airports in the area. Getting in and out can be tricky due to DC traffic. Airport is small and mostly crowded.
Limited choices for food.
Direct access to Metro is a wonderful thing.
O.
For all you new comers out there please listen to what I have to say!! DCA (Reagan National Airport) is the best airport in the area why? Because it’s easy and convenient to get in and out also please don’t get scammed but If your flying out of terminal A you should look out for tourist traps! Since there is a lot of them so y’all stay safe out there!✈️
juan sedano
Very clean airport. The staff is extremely friendly signs everywhere which made easy to navigate
Alisa James
The off boarding at Ronald Reagan was easy and efficient. It was a short walk to baggage claim. I did not see many places to eat or grab a bite if you're flying out though. When I fly out in a week, I'll update my review. Happy traveling!
Clementine
Beautifully decorated for Christmas and a ton of moving walkways. A plethora of lounges as well
SC Thomas
I usually like flying out of DCA, and REALLY liked it when there was security at all of the Gate Terminals (A, B, C, etc). The lines were always shorter back then (before the recent transformation) but I still appreciate the smoothness I experience through the various processes. Definitely get CLEAR though... my review is caveated by the fact that I use my CLEAR without fail!!
Martin Reyes
Very safe clean all are well organized to accommodate you travel needs!
Claire Egan
I lost my ID while traveling in DC and was distraught on how I would make my flight home to MN. From the woman at the Delta check in to the gate agents at TSA, everyone was reassuring, friendly, and professional in helping me with my situation. TSA doesn’t always get the best rep, but the multiple agents who interviewed me and verified my identity were professional and serious while also kind and understanding. I feel secure knowing they really prove the ID of the passenger but didn’t make me feel humiliated. They took their time checking my things (every item) but after clearing me, the agent asked me more about my situation, was compassionate, and wished me Happy Holidays when she could have easily brushed me off, as security started to get a little busier. I’m thankful to each person who kept airport security in mind but also could sense my stress and handled the situation well. If you are traveling and need to get through TSA with “no ID”, be sure to show up a few hours early, have backup forms of ID / proof of ID (medications, receipts, COVID vaccine card, credit cards, digital copies of passport or license if they accept). Just overall grateful for the people who helped me through a really rough situation to get home safely.
Angel Rivera
This airport is in need of an overhaul in terminal 1. While it's super convenient and close to everything in the DMV area, in terms of space, amenities and overall feel, this airport feels more like a busy train station than an airport. There are so many people crowded in the terminal area to where it feels claustrophobic. There aren't enough chairs at each gate. When people start lining up for gates, you don't know whether they are in line or part of the mass of humanity in the small terminal area. Food options are ok. The facility is dated.
A H
Parking lot is always full. Metro if it is accessable is why Reagan is good. But still have to pick up relatives when they come to town. Kinda rude to just leave em at the airport.
C Renee Knott
Wow! Stunning airport. Open air wide pathways. The atmosphere is very relaxing for as stressful as managing an airport can be. Tons of food options. Lots of available staff. Clean, but big. Gates can be far apart.
Rosario Mericle
Ronald Reagan airport is really good but I can not say the same about AA gate employees.
I was a first class passenger and they didn’t let me take my carrion suitcase in the cabin, supposed to valet the bag but she send it to check (which I didn’t know) and took me awhile to retrieve it.
Kenneth Hines, Jr. (Professor Hines)
Reagan’s Terminal B is a beautiful structure to traverse through and my many times flying in and out of this airport has been pleasant.
Getting to and from this airport is quite easy as well. I certainly recommend taking the WMATA, which is connected to the airport via the Blue and Yellow lines. The road ways in DC can be a mess, depending on the time you’re going or coming from the airport.
There’s a few places to eat, shop around and airport lounges for American, Delta and United here. Being a Delta flyer I’ve only been in their lounge and it’s a very beautiful Sky Club lounge. I’ve never come through here and it’s been crowded. If you want a quiet space you’re bound to find it here.
If you’re flying Southwest or Frontier then you’re entire Terminal A, which doesn’t really have much there. It’s very small, but has a bar area that’s situated in the middle of the gate area, along with a few small shops lined along the walkway leading to the gate area. To my knowledge I don’t think this terminal is connected to B and C, so if you go through here be prepared to not have much to see and do here.
Matt Jenkins
Love the new gates!!! Look at thise tables, beautiful. Can't wait to see the new food options fully open.
Robyn Michaels
The only bright spot for me in this airport was Azeb. I had wheelchair assistance due to being disabled. She was a sweetheart and the only reason you got 3 stars from me. The bathrooms are not handicap friendly. Only 1 stall was a handicap stall. All the other airports I went to had 2 per bathroom. 1 on each side. Due to my layover time and the delay time, I went a total of 3 times. 2 of those times the handicap stall was closed. Once for cleaning and I am not sure about the other time. Also my gate was changed several times. Thankfully the last time it was changed it was the next gate over.
Tammy Carpenter
Easy to find parking, easy to navigate. Loved that the first hour of parking was free. I still prefer BWI as it's much closer to where I live. But I would highly recommend this airport to others.
Lisa Roberds
I had a 6am flight and arrived at 4am. Having already checked in on my phone, I was able to walk straight to security where there was only one other person in front of me. TSA was friendly and fast, and I found my gate with ease. Thank God Starbucks was open that early, because nothing else was. Overall, easy and positive experience.
Gianluca Milanesi
this DC airport is nothing special, kinda old, poor shops and you can hear planes taking off and lading staying at your terminal
I would give this place just 2 or 3 starts but the architecture inside is amazing to me, one of the most iconic i’ve ever seen
scott Kozloff
One of the easiest airports to fly through, the smaller of the two in Washington dc. Beats the heck out of Dulles, we had no issues whatsoever. Easy TSA get through, even without TSA pre-approved. If you're flying to the DC area, I'd recommend using this airport if you could.
Herbert Edgewood
'Ello chaps!
Ronald Regan Washington National Airport is midsize airport located in the heart of the nation's capital.
It's technically in Arlington, Virginia, but about 15 minute drive to downtown Washington, D.C.
What I love about this airport is that it's not too big, but not too small.
Delta, American, and United seem to be the three big airline operators at this airport. It's age shows, and would likely be in need of some TLC soon, but remains a nice airport.
There is limited shopping options, but a fair number of food options after security.
WHY REAGAN? This airport is far better than Baltimore and Dulles for the simple reason that it's at the front door of D.C. -AND- the views on approach and departure are unmatched. Nothing like flying over Lincoln Memorial moments before touchdown.
David Bedell
Flying into DC is great, you can pick up the metro and get to town in a few minutes.
T. Gafford
I've never been through the airport at peak hours, but moving through these large terminals are quite easy because of the plentiful & accurate signs. I prefer to beat the sometimes horrendous traffic by taking the Metro. The online payment for Metro cards are very user friendly. I highly suggest putting the shuttle bus route maps inside the buses.
Rimbert Rivera
Now that I'm regularly traveling, I have more appreciation for DCA. Clean, modern, organized, and good food choices.
Granted, nothing region-specific at this airport besides some of the restaurants. It'd be hilarious if you could submit a bill to Congress from a kiosk at the airport.
2much2 Saytoday
Great airport, convenient location even if not staying in DC. I love that TSA doesn't require shoes off or electronics out of bag. The only downside I notice everytime I fly in/out here is how crowded it is in the boarding areas due to commercial space. The stores and restaurants are convenient for last-minute purchases, but it's literally right there as you enter/exit the plane gate so store customers are right there too. 🫤
Ken Pyle
Easy to access from Washington DC compared to Dulles. Security check was a breeze. Good selection of food. Wide open areas for working or eating. Could use some more electrical outlets.
Perks Advisor
I normally review fine dining and hotels, but since airports are intrinsic to the travel experience I have decided to share my thoughts. First up is Reagan National Airport and it is one of my favorite airports to use.
It is accessible directly from the Metro subway system or a very quick cab ride from DC. The B and C concourse have an updated windowed feel to them with some great views of the monuments. TSA is a breeze here. Finally, there are some great dining options from some local restaurants. Overall, it is a great experience.
Matthew Fish
Never had an issue here. Smaller airport than Dulles and closer to home. Plenty of food options inside the terminals after security. A lot of construction going on so they are expanding.
Pro tip: pay attention to the signs on the shuttle buses. They all come to the same pickup stop but they do not all go to the economy lot.
Walking around here this morning I see a lot of new spots coming soon.
There's a kid's play place I didn't notice later trip
Matthew S
I flew in and out of this airport really early. I had no major problems.
I will note for terminal 2 the airline checkin is on a different floor so you may have a bit of traveling from one place to the other.
For rides hare pickup it was pretty simple. They have notes on columns for your location. I used an uber app and it located me accurately.
Taylor Moulton
The new security lanes are amazing! Makes the terminal experience much less chaotic! Also, the metro access is something JFK or LGA airport can learn from. My favorite airport to connect through!
Adam Dellos
I like this airport a lot. I flew in twice in Aug and had my GF fly in a separate time. Soooooo I became familiar with the area. Haha. Parking is easy and navigating the airport was easy too. Great experience and cool views!
Eric Whitlow
Excellent airport in the Capital of the U.S! Easy to navigate and clean. Certain areas under construction undergoing modernizations. Definitely recommend a stop through.
David Champagne
Conveniently located next to the Holiday Inn Washington Capital- Natl Mall and 21st agreement bar and grill.
Marla Burns
Clean airport with alot of space for business travelers. Tower needs a refresher on logistics of parking aircraft and not resorting to "hard stop" on tarmac. This caused several travels to miss their connections. We were rebooked on a flight 3 1/2 hours later with NO compensation. Grr
Ruofei Du
Sometimes, you cannot trust the displays for baggage claims here. Sometimes you thought it will out from baggage claim 3 but it turns out it came from baggage claim 4 and half an hour was wasted here.
On the bright side, it's a beautiful classical yet tiny airport.
Serena Davis
Great airport, everything you could need. ARRIVE EARLY!!! Like extra early. It's a busy place. 2 people nearly missed their flight because of the lines. Staff are a bit abrupt, for no good reason ( they're tired I guess)
Bob Atkin
Five stars for location convenience, three stars (and fewer more often than not) for pick up or drop off. It is a beautiful facility and is really not bad if you choose to park and go in to pickup folks. It is the drive in and drive through the airport that will test you. And there is construction; it seems like there is always construction. Parking in the garage is not a problem, but the cell phone lot fills up at times.
Edgar Avendano
Smaller airport than most I've been to, so terminals are easier to access. However, whenever check-in and TSA lines can get long fast, so check in early.
Nhoj “Bams” Serev
Went here to wait for a few hours. Not a bad wait. Get there 8 hrs early or else you wont be able to wait that long.
michelle parnes
Early morning flight. No lines at flight counter and getting thru security was a breeze. Later times likely differ.
Marc Neilson
Reagan is improving with the new security layout and cleaning up of the terminals. It seems the airport authorities are responding to the public's suggestions.
What remains is the extremely unfriendly staff at the security checkpoints and poorly responsive staff at the food vendors.
One positive, parking is free if you stay under an hour, perfect for picking up someone.
Sarvesh Ramakrishnan
This airport is extraordinary. Good service and good staff, but what I really enjoy is that you can view the planes without having to go through security, meaning you can have a good spotting experience without having a ticket. I had a good time when entering and leaving this airport and the metro is very convenient.
Richard Chen
TSA Lost and Found team is awesome! I left a medical device at TSA. They were able to reach out to me within 2 days after I filed a report on their website. After I filled out the forms and created FedEx shipping labels, they shipped it out the same day without any delays.
Anastasiia Iun
Cute airport. I really like how they have pig canvases of pictures. It looks like there cafes are not bad.
I do think that this place will benefit from more decorations, real plants, indoor trees, and some landscaping.
Roderick Brown
First time at this airport and it's very nice. Everything is organized. I will fly through this airport again most definitely.
Mary Shannon
Restaurants close early, and (even for airports) overcharge by a LOT. 12 bucks for a tiny mezze plate seems ridiculous even by airport standards. Given that none of us WANT to be there, they could do a little more to make it less awful.
katherine haselton
American Airlines was very efficient.
Security was easier than ever before.
I was very impressed and happy with my experience
Elizabeth N
Smaller airport than Dulles but also close to the metro so if your business or pleasure trip is in the area. It's a great place to fly in and out of. Very clean and not too crowded when we were there.
asy patrysheva
small, but easy to navigate. terminal 2 has very limited food options. expect a long line to women restroom during the daytime.
Jason West (서재석)
Great airport, always a pleasant experience here. The new security layout makes it so much easier to get to your gates.
r1 seo
Fairly clean and smoothly run.
TSA are very thorough here. They went way further than I have experienced at other airports. So do be prepared for that. They are into everything in great depth. Even though I went through the full body scanner I was still manually checked by a security officer pretty much from head to toe and chemically checked too, with nothing out of the ordinary. To the credit of the officer involved it was all done very professionally and they were just doing what they were trained to do.
The airport itself is small, so do expect limited choice of stores and amenities, both before and after security.
Ginger Lundgren
Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I was in a wheelchair and they assisted me getting to the next gate. The lady also was gengle while going over the bumpy parts. Asked if I needed to use the restroom. Thank you.
T. NT
Small airport. The only one i use in the DMV. If the plane doesn't leave out if DCA I don't want it. Research your food options tho the place I ate breakfast at was not good.
Martin Deubler
I liked the cleanliness and ease of which to get around and get our bags after arriving. The Metro made it simple to connect and the Cherry Blossoms made it all just fine!
Panayur Subramaniam Radhakrishnan
Well maintained Airport and fast security check procedures.
Johny Mccahill
A very close and clean airport for Washingtonians, and northern Virginia travelers. There’s been a lot of remodeling, and still more to do. But the lines move smooth and if you’re on point with what you’re supposed to do it’ll help get you on that plane.
Tracey Harris
An airport in transition from old to new. The TSA queues are slow due to outdated scanning technology and disorganized staff. Modernization will go a long way to improve the customer experience.
Dylan Williams
Seems outdated a bit but lots of construction going on. Otherwise fast security. Delta Sky Club was a joke. Closed everything down 3 hours early and pulled all food and couldn't order anymore drinks.
Lisa Jones
Clear, PreTSA C/I, and Reserved Parking
are worth the investment. My flight was at 5am, I parked in PK2 closer to the entrance of the airport at 4am (ate breakfast in the parked car), flew through the north checkpoint @ 415am and got on the plane by 440am.
I know it's not like this all the time, but the last few trips out of DCA have been a peaceful process. I appreciate the simplicity of navigating through this airport.
Safe travels everyone! ✈️ 🛩 🛬
Stella Carrier
This past Wednesday November 4, 2020 was when I utilized the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington Virginia for a direct flight to Norfolk International Airport in Norfolk Virginia (for vising my husband). The Ronald Regan Washington Airport is very easy to find even if you take public transit because of the signs around easily highlighting both the metro station entrances and the entry points in the airport to both checkin and access the tickets. I purchased my ticket online and I arrived with plenty of time to check in and I got through scanning and processing quicker than I expected. Fortunately things also went smoothly for my planned flight arrival time (both leaving towards Norfolk Virginia and the arrival time in Norfolk Virginia).
LaTasha Smith
This was my first time flying into Ronald Reagan airport but we was very update with all Wi-Fi an computer stuff I didn't like the fact you or your food one place an had to walk down the way to pay for it, then walk by where you place the order but it was cools i was only there for 2 hours layover.
Joshua Kaminski
Love this airport! Metro train hooks up to it. Small, yet offers quite a bit. Usually fly Delta and enjoy the checked baggage coming out right where you exit. Security can sometimes take a bit, but nothing compared to Orlando, New York, or Atlanta. Delta Sky Club on third floor of B terminal.
David Van Dyke
Quick trip through security on a holiday weekend. Excellent signage for direction, and relatively clean. No issues with finding wanted amenities.
Tom Weaver
It's not bad when it's not busy but it's pretty cramped if there's too many people
Troy Benson
Pretty organized Airport. However a bit on the older side with lame retail. In general the important things are covered; such as a speedy experience with security.
motoristx
Simple layout of the airport, lots of restaurants and gift shops line the halls. 3 parking lots and a lot of rental car companies to choose from. The maps make it difficult to find out what level your needing to get to, but that’s only a slight inconvenience. Great views from the 3rd level windows.
Sanghun Samuel Lee
Does not add up to a "major" airport, but with its own perks. Easier to get to, not as crowded, cheaper parking, etc. Given a choice, I prefer DCA over IAD any day.
K Palatianos
Luggage delay at ATL caused me to stay extra 3 hrs for bag, which wasn't even delivered till next morning (delivered to my house, xx miles away. Given a 200 point frequent flyer voucher by lost luggage agent.
John Anderson
Reviewing only to let other Vegans know that Mezeh in the E Wing has two vegan options for meals. Veggie Medley and Veggie Garden. Also found beyond burgers at Sip Munch and More by B17.
Don Napoleon
The airport itself was great friendly staff even TSA. The traffic to get there was crazy! A qhr ride took 2 and a half. Not good Washington.
Patrick Fleming
The airport is not huge, but if you are flying Southwest your gate is waaay over there in terminal 1. It was a long walk and the only airline in terminal 1.
Edwin Ak
The airport has an ok size, nothing to shout about, security checkpoint are quite fast and not too much delay
bernard modugu
Beautiful airport. First time here so good first impression 👌. …
Eileen Parrish
This is a smaller airport than Dulles. It reminded me of the San Diego Airport. It is easy to find your terminal and TSA is not as bad as the big airports.
Alberto Bolatto
Routinely, the slowest and most chaotic bag delivery (at least for AA) of any US airport. Otherwise, the airport is nice and reasonably sized. What's up with baggage handling?
Parker Brownlowe
Terminal A is just... meh. The restaurants are not great, there's too much capitalism, the parking and road system is terrible. That said, it's still better than going out to Dulles, and my plane had good pretzels.
Greg St Cyr
Meh... Wayfinding could be easier, but isn't a nightmare. Staff doesn't really know what they're talking about. If you ask for directions, one person will tell you one thing and then another person will tell you the opposite. Not very impressed with this airport. I feel like a major airport in our nation's capital should be much nicer.
Jason
Nice little airport with lots of places to eat. I had a layover so I can not speak to how hard it is to get in and out but since it's in DC it's probably a nightmare like the current administration
Gogerogery
This airport is awesome! I’ve flown in and out a bunch of times! I love the runway 19 takeoffs because they give the people at gravelly point a show! Also they don’t hassle you like many other airports do. They have a great bus system as well!
American is the best airline there! Also when I flew back from Atlanta in June, I had 2 flights going back to this airport, one to Charlotte Douglas, then one to this airport, from Atlanta, my flight was AAL1643, and my luggage got shipped to DCA on AAL43 or something. This Airport is truly loved!
Burak Özdemir
I just came from Chicago. I don't have idea about how big this airport. I'm just seeing this side(gate 10 round 15 different gate sides)
It is really empty now this side but 500 feet away crowded. Time 09:28am Monday. We just landed and we just left from plane. It was really quick. I need to spend little time here and I was looking charger for phone. I found but I didn't like because it's not next to seat. Just some one of them next the seat. So it's hard. But finally I found something for me. I added photos. Pretty quite here at least now. Every 30 minutes the system says local time. 4 stars because of charger. Restrooms are clean ✅ fast✅ not to many charger❌
Update: 9 months later I am here again and it was good still. There was no problem.
Chris adventures
It's a good airport. Your experience of the flight and when you get your luggage might change depending on what airline you fly.
Steve Wardell
Solid convenient airport with fair amount of food options. Most of the airport other than the original A terminal is nice looking and fairly modern.
Duane Hardesty
Airport is great. Easy to navigate and plenty of shops. Biggest downfall is TSA. They are the slowest here!
Ethan Stein
Honestly it was a pretty decent airport, it’s a hub for American Airlines. They have some good food options before and after security but there are better shops before security like the Smithsonian store and more, after security is just newsstands like at other airports. There is a WMTA station at the airport at the B/C terminals. My only complaint is that there is no moving walkways in the shopping area since the airport is very long. But this airport beats Washington Dulles as the best airport in DC.
Mariah Baddorf Carpenter
Missed my connecting flight. American airlines got me the next one. Had a great salad and some wine at PF Changs while I was waiting.
Will K.
The southwest terminal is fine. I really wish they'd add some more seats to the restaurant area. It can be really hard to get service. The food there is fine.
I like the checkout system and ordering system. It's easy to get in and out of and is rarely too busy.
Jordan Yoshimine
Busy airport and not built for the amount of people that come through the airport. It does look like they are expanding so that's good. They do have several restaurant choices, not much in terms of shopping past TSA. Most of shopping and food before TSA in the main concourse.
Nilufer Kessler
Fabulous airport. Efficient security, clean. Lots of restaurant and shop options while you wait.
John Filer
It's a pain in the @$$ to get here BUT once you make it, everything is pretty convenient. The lines at TSA go quick and the restrooms were clean. Food in the concourse is actually moderately priced for an airport however just like everywhere else in DC, parking is gonna cost you a testical.
Sckethia Byrd
Pretty easy to manage. Flight arrived on time. I don't usually have issues when traveling to and from this location.
Jacobi
First time to DCA.. clean for the most part. Helpful information regarding flights, shops, restrooms, and the metro! Will visit again sometime to see more downtown DC! Enjoyed my short one day trip!
Dave M
Getting from the parking shuttle to ticketing is not a direct shot. Elevators to escalators. Hopefully when construction is finished this will be fixed.
Jake Ramos
Good airport..lots of stores and restaurants. Great little places to kick your feet up, and areas where you charge different devices. TSA lines weren't bad, and were very organized. Too big for me though..lots of people
Bayou Vixen
Lovely changes at DCA, easy to navigate and move around w.lots of charging ports. They could use more restaurants but the current selection is suitable for all price ranges. I had Legal Seafood for the WIN & they were quick, friendly and my Clam Chowder was FANTASTIC!!!! DCA is an awesome airport!!!
T McLaughlin
Fairly easy airport to navigate, but some good walking even for a mid-sized airport. Located very close to downtown DC and plenty of public transportation access. Some solid larger chain food provisions available withing the terminals, but give yourself a little walking time to get there if you're more selective with dining. Rental cars are adjacent to terminals and quick to access. Great seating and lounging accommodations at the centers of each terminal, making good meeting and conversational locations convenient.
Ivan Tuttle
Very clean and easy to maneuver from gate to gate. Nice places to eat or get a cup of coffee. Just wish I wasn't flying American Airlines, the rudest flight attendants in the air!
Lashonda Park
I loved this airport. It wasn't overly crowded like most and it was very easy to navigate. The staff was also very approachable and helpful.
Michael Noerr
Mixed review. This airport is like a lot of other large airports. There are plenty of signs to help you out and plenty of places to eat and shop while you wait. Unfortunately, this place is also disgusting and it seems the staff don't routinely clean (see photo). Prices are what you'd expect at an airport.
Colin Wakefield
Hey its a good airport. Large one, and undergoing some renovations. It's alright but honestly nothing special and can be an absolute cluster when it gets busy or you get a VIP arriving/departing.
Toolee M
I arrived on a weekend to visit Washington D.C. The airport is pretty big, and it was very crowded. Upon arrival, you will walk to the ground transport section of the airport. I ordered a Lyft to get to my final destination. I was needing to ask a question about where I was at, and did not see any airport staff nearby. I asked one of the security staff about where I was at, and was shunned. They told me to step back. I felt terrible for asking them question. Luckily, I was able to ask the people around my question. I can understand that being a security staff is stressful work, but I hope they can treat people with dignity in the future. Aside from that incident, I did not have any other concern. The rest of the staff was helpful, and there are plenty of sign to point you to the right direction. There are plenty of places to eat and enjoy your meals as you are waiting for your flight.
A Sabbagh
A convenient airport just 5 mins away from downtown DC. Quite old and very small that I think it needs a renovation
David Branch
Our flight was scheduled for 10:15 pm.
We were able to breeze through Security with little hassle and enjoy a meal at Chick-fil-A.
With minimal crowd, our time at Reagan National was quick, easy and pleasant.
Kelly McCarthy
Always my favorite airport anywhere in the world. It is clean and efficient with fantastic places to eat and shop. This airport is America at her best !

Very convenient location to Washington D.C. That is strong point of this airport. If your flight is American Airlines, and the aircraft of your flight is small regional jet, just like CRJ700, you might vse Gate 35X. Gate35X is bus transportation gate, at first you ride a big transportation bus to go to the aircraft parking spot. Then you will use mobile boarding bridge. That might be rare experience for travelers. That boarding bridge is interesting. That is not existed in Japan.
Chris Finta
I just changed plane and my layover was 1 hours but I enjoyed. Thank You DCA 😊 …
Nazia Javed
It was a wonderful experience. Very close to the city and that is a BIG plus. The entry into airport which was smooth with nice signage....security check was prompt and hassle free... airport ambience was delightful .... food & beverage outlets were of the right kind. Didn't have to walk a lot to get to the flights. This is something that helps especially in comparison to the other airports that tire you out especiallywhen travelling with kids. And lastly should I say, that the PEOPLE at the airport were so friendly and helpful (special shout out to DANIEL from Jet Blue baggage check in) Way to Go ...Ronald Reagan Airport.
Fernando Gonzalez
I found this airport with no personality is like empty halls. For been the airport closest to the capitol has only one American flag No DC theme no Ronald Regan statute or presidential theme.
Taunya Vermeulen
Washington DC Airport so clean and nice...Airline was so accomadating and the view is spectacular✈️👍✈️

Very small airport but so easy.
If you want to avoid long lines and lots of people, fly from this nation airport.
Bibi Johnson
Nice airport but terminal A could use a wider variety of dinning options.😏😊 …
Isaac Holt
Very nice medium-sized airport. It has its own metro station and is very accommodating of all modes of transportation to and from the airport. There is even a separate lane for Uber/Lyft in the pickup area. Security is fast and there are plenty of restaurants in the terminals. It’s a major Southwest hub so if you’re in the DMV and looking to fly Southwest this is the airport to go.
Joseph Woerner
As far as airports go, it was nice! Very high ceilings with wide walkways and an abundance of natural light. The E terminal was spacious with the nicest restrooms I've seen in a public space; the C terminal less so.
benjii
Oh my, I love this Airport! Flew in from BNA about a week ago and I just loved it! Amazing views, big windows, great food selection! I chose American Airlines to fly over here and it was great as well. Will be choosing DCA again!
BRIAN PEREYRA
Many places to select to grab a bite from while you wait for your plane. As well, a lot of shops to pick up any last minute souvenirs!
Steve Williams
The American Terminal is Greeeaaat! Quick access my trip from curb with precheck took 15 minutes I was at the gate with a crowd!
G Leenhouts
The new terminal E is fantastic. New and modern!
Moving TSA was great so we can pass freely through terminals without exiting security or taking a shuttle.
Getting rid of Gate 35 with all the shuttles to planes was the best thing.
J Cee
This airport doesn't have much. The TSA area was cramped, crowded and unorganized. But they do their best to get you on your way. Pro tip: take off you stuff while standing in line...
When I arrived late everything was closed but I noticed that there wasn't any restaurants or fast food in the terminal. This was true on my departure as well, the stores were open but no food options.
Beautiful DC views while we took off, quick cab or Uber from Crystal City. The locals all suggest to always fly into DCA, Dulles doesn't have much to offer for DC tourism.
John Maursetter
It's laid out kind of like a confused octopus, but the signage is quite good, so getting to your gate isn't too bad.
Melanie Groom
The airport itself was just fine, good restaurants, very clean, lots of shops to keep busy between flights
Ed Barry
National Airport/ Reagan National I've been flying into for over 35 years. They've done work but it's time for another refresh. Someone pay the heating bill it was downright cold in the airport. Food options are just OK, most of the store's are just OK not much you'd really want to buy.
Tina M.
Coffee and teas available. Hibiscus tea hit the spot.
Located near the 50's gates in the terminal. Prices reasonable. Staff super friendly.
Alex Barajas
For a major airport, it's one of the better ones I've been to. Decent amount of eateries and the layout is easy to navigate. I've arrived and left at varying times and it's never super busy (probably because it's a regional airport). Lots of social distancing and sanitizing precautions in place.
Mauricio Pretto
Even as a local regional airport
Reagan it's a really well kept and practical airport
I really liked
Easy to find your self
Good food and facilities
Hariswaroop
Warm and friendly staff. A spotless clean terminal and washrooms. Skybridge connectivity is very nice at the terminal gate during entry. Lounge facilities are the best for the passengers. KIOSK facilities for ticket collection are very user-friendly. Overall very good traveling experience at this place.
og teepee202bey
American Airlines flight was brand new and had an amazing smooth flight. No wifi but that’s only because it wasn’t set up 100% yet but had pre loaded stuff you could watch. Vacation to Miami with my girl was the best
Michael Fortenberry
I have been through Regan International Airport at least a dozen times this year alone and have always had a positive experience. There is a great variety of restaurants and my opinion is the airport staff is quick to respond to the changing influxes of travelers as it ebbs and floods throughout the day....just this guys humble opinion 😎
Max Rosen
Easy layout, accessible to Metro, great dining options. I actually look forward to flying out of Reagan because it’s convenient and seamless. And unlike most airports, it doesn’t have McDonald’s or BK - but rather, local DC favorites like Ben’s Chili Bowl which never disappoints. Staff are friendly, wait times are low, and security is a breeze. Reagan is the best local DC airport.
Isaiah Shoats
Huge Airport and well labeled. This airport was very nice and very easy to make, and find your next destination on time!
Bonnie S
Flight out of terminal 2. Got there two hours before my scheduled flight. Line to get through security was insanely long but it moved extremely quickly. The TSA agents are quick and so we’re the people going through. I was through security within 15 minutes which was great considering the line was about 100 people. For that alone I give them 5 stars!
Broc Burkhow
Great airport very modern.
Adele Agbaw
The women's bathroom was disgusting. It could use more regular cleaning for such a busy airport. Everything else in the airport was great.
Tom Brooks (The Audition Master)
Love this airport. Been a long time since I've flown. Parking signs are clear, easy airport return if you miss your turn-off... Still love it.
Liz Ford
It is crowded here but security was fairly easy to get thru. I dripped off my rental car and that took less time than the shuttle to bring me back to the terminal. Don't forget to add that time in when you return here.
The food options are few but still not bad. I think the bathrooms need a bit of work. There was no soap in several of the containers and then the water did not work in all of the sinks either (women's room by gate 29) so trial and error to wash your hands.
shoesan
Fast luggage and TSA check in whenever I come. I love it!
KARTIK YADAV
While the airport is massive allowing for lots of space and no crowds, the layout is pretty bad.
First of all, getting to the car rental center is kind of a pain. What’s even worse is when you try to return your car, it is pretty confusing and not clearly marked.
Going through security lines is quite long, even the TSA pre-check line!
The main hall of the airport is quite nice, but the different wings to the gates look outdated. Lounges in the airport are also quite small.
Jay France
My go-to airport for the Washington D.C. area. Great access to the Metro.....train and bus. Lots of hotels, restaurants, and bars two or three train stops away or a short bus or taxi ride. Security always seems to run smooth and they get you through quickly. Plenty of restaurants and small shops inside the airport too....even once you’ve passed security.
Michael Becker
TSA security checkpoint was slow, bathrooms were not clean. Nice restaurant options though and easy to navigate.
Walter Bandy
I had a very short lay over but I enjoyed running from gate to gate, haha. Everything looked clean and the staff I interacted with were friendly and professional. I'd definitely fly there again in the future. Hopefully I get to explore a bit more next time! Thank you.
joseph dyer
new (to me) underground / inside path from rental car garage to terminals 1 AND 2. starts on ground floor of rental car return. moving walkways.
Matt Wuerstl
Easy in and out of DC. Smaller airport, so, no issues getting through TSA security quickly.
Vantona Wright
I came in on a day/night that thousands of flights were being delayed and canceled. When we disembarked, it was a bit difficult to get thru due to all of the passengers awaiting their flights. Fortunately, I was able to find my way to baggage claim with no issues but following the signage. For my first time at this airport, it was a decent experience.
Chris Cook
The airport is clean and efficient. Even though it is busy airport, everything went fast and smooth. There are places to eat and catch up on your work. Free wifi is available.
José FERREIRO (ホセ フェレイロ)
Good and convenient airport in Washington DC nearby the state of Virginia.
#1man1year150
Quick going both ways without any real issues at all.
Staff was genuinely nice and quick with getting us through checkin.
Mark McIntyre
Attractive airport with an excellent American Admirals Club.
Darren Johnson
One of the nicest airports I have traveled to. Lots of food and beverage options make easy to wait for your flight, although not without a premium price tag to go along with the selection.
Mark Wyssbrod
Pretty Nice For A Smaller Airport...great sites of DC!
Vishwa Harithsa
Easy security check-in. Luckily I have Clear. The southwest part of Terminal is very crowded and not a lot food available.
Food is extremely expensive (picked up roasted cashews). Was $10 for a small packet
eric jackson
Love this airport when flying into DC. Quick and easy access to the metro. Never had any issue with delays or TSA.
Carolina Turcios
Always fast, clean, organize and bonus points are the wonderful sunrise sceneries.
Behzad Taimur
Even though the nearby Dulles airport is bigger, this one's definitely better.
First off, it has this amazing interior. Its golden-yellow, canopied hallways are unique and pretty terrific.
Second, it's not too big - so you don't have to walk miles to get to your gate. It's still serviced by most airlines and you can go most places from here.
Third, it's on the Virginia side of DC. So if you're in Virginia or south, this is for you.
Three major drawbacks: 1) It doesn't do many international flights. 2) Secondly, hardly place to go and eat. Can get pretty tricky if you're hungry. 3) Hardly any public transport access - Bad, DC, bad!
Aaron Fischbach
The terminal 1 food court is a mess. You have to pay at the convenience items checkout for food ordered at the 'restaurants' like Boar's Head.
And only half the charging station outlets work. Seems like that would be easy to fix.
Kenneth Wiseman
I prefer Reagan over Dulles any day. Easier and much shorter on the commute, easier to get around, and more organized. Plus, the Metro is already here! I allow a 2 hour period of security and all else but half of my trips are with no line. The early afternoon and first flight of the day are busiest in my experience. Otherwise, Southwest is the best option and I hope you enjoy your trip!
Heather
I find Reagan really easy to navigate, which is helpful for someone who's easily intimidated. There are plenty of food options. The spaces is accessible and spacious. You can navigate the dpace with ease and comfort mist times. The ride-sgare area isn't obnoxious or too far off the beaten path as with some other major airports. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. The lines move quickly and the layout works well logistically. I alway elect to fly into Reagan when visiting DC, if I have a choice!
Ariel Giraudo
Great airport. Very well maintained. Everything runs smoothly, the employees are very friendly and there’s a nice selection of places to eat.
william thompson
Excellent amenities and staff. Many affordable food options and gifts/ souvenirs. Clean and well attended throughout especially restrooms. Well placed and clear signs so you always know where you are and where you're going.
Maureen Murphy
Uneventful.. quiet.. I'm TSA pre check.. they searched an older man in front of me for at least 20 min6..sad.. he could barely walk or stand straight. I have a knee replacement.. told them ahead of time.. held me up 15 minutes waiting to find available woman to search me. Duh..
Angel L Rodriguez-Rivera
I was a USMC Combat Disabled Vietnam Veteran on a Honor Flight from Palm Beach International Airport, West Palm Beach, FL. Your staff, security, local police, vendors and travelers greeted us warmly and thanked us for our service to our country. It was memorable and unforgettable.
Khai Le
This is my first time at the DCA airport, arriving and leaving at American Airlines terminal.
I love the hallway with high ceiling and the hanging American flag creating a nice reflection. It rouses a sense of patriotism. Don't forget to check it out. It is a double-take for me.
Also the ride-share area is very convenient and easy to find, simply outside of the baggage claim area which could be a long walk given their ongoing construction.
Dixie Williams
Terminal walkway signage is junk from the rental car return. Running late due to poor signage and construction on roads. Shuttle from parking is nice, otherwise annoying.
Dennis Sutch
National Airport is improving. The northern gates are now accessible by walking.
Chris Derzak
Pay attention if you're driving. There are several routes to this airport. Approach lanes are marked well, but turns approach quickly. If you miss your terminal or parking garage, circle back around and try again. The terminal offers 3 and 4 lanes to accommodate thru traffic and loading & unloading.
HL Lowy
Great updates. Manageable lines. Good, solid staff. A real pleasurable airport to travel through. Also an A++ location for D.C.
Mark Merritt
Nicely set up airport with clean facilities and lots of space dedicated to retail and food\beverage choices.
The staff at multiple retail shops were friendly and helpful. The airline operations personnel were efficient and attentive.
Lisa Short
Southwest hub, passed through security quickly. Food nearby, easily purchased. Uniquely designed terminal, so a bit noisy, bring your earbuds.
Robin Dellinger
Easy peasy. Small airport so no confusion on taxis or baggage claim
James Mooney
On a Friday at 10:30 am, the TSA PreCheck line was very short and I got through security in just 5 minutes. Once on the airside, there are two restaurant options for Priority Pass holders.
Mohsin Sultan
Good airport for domestic flights. Definitely is busy but overall moves at a decent pace. Good selection of food as well
Kiet TT
Good airport with working charging station and free wifi.
Sharon Dixon Peay
Just wonderful! Fast and helpful ticketing staff. Efficient and friendly wheelchair assistance. It helped that i got there 2 hours early
J W
TSA precheck in Terminal 2 Delta extremely slow. Only one person that services both Clear and TSA precheck for 6am flights. Also no vegan food? Crazy for a major airport. Starbucks used to have vegan breakfast sandwiches in other airports.
Jack Sappenfield
Very busy with concourse and gate locations very well maintained. Concessions were a bit disappointing with many closing down in early evening, and when approaching Smashburger for a purchase, they said no hamburgers, only chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches. It's SMASHBURGER for goodness sake, not Smashchicken!
Steve Richard
Take it from someone who used to travel for business every single week prior to the pandemic. DCA is the best airport in the country.
Sure flying into Jackson Hole is way more fun. But that's a tiny airport. It's apples to oranges. I'm talking about major airports.
Here is a picture of the newly-opened terminal replacing the old X Gates. That was the only thing about National that was terrible. The 35X gates with the cattle herding area and shuttle bus was the worst. Terminal E is way better.
One knock. Why do they only have Pepsi in the new terminal. Haven't we suffered enough up until this moment?
marty may
Since the redesign, everything seems slower and less efficient. Security takes forever, both because lines and because there seemed to be a lot of TSA agents standing around and chatting behind security,. Signage isn't great and you'll walk a lot more.
Greg Bollrud
If you haven’t been here in a while, you can no longer access any of the food services. So don’t plan to meet anyone for coffee if you’re not flying with them.
Note: United does not issue gate passes except for kids/elderly escorts
Lissette Rutledge
Hotel was standard. What made it 5 star was the staff and service. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and prideful. Love that in people. Pride in everything you do. Hilton is doing a lot right, to have a staff like that.
Elin Havrilla
Pretty easy airport to fly in and out of. The parking situation is not adequate and the construction and signage makes getting into the airport difficult. But, once inside it's a fine airport!
Roberth Castellanos
Wednesday 28 was my first time at this airport. It was a great experience. All the employers are nice. Thank you.
Dimples Trinidad
Let me tell you about this exemplary model employee. Her name is Normika Williams. She assisted my mother who is a senior citizen from the time she had her on a wheelchair to boarding on the plane. Thank you Normika for your kindness and excellent customer service. I hope DCA uses you as an example.
j dc
New section of the terminal is very nice! Still an airport though! Security checkpoint would be easier and faster if we all flew naked... lol

Much better process with the new security screening areas. Easy in and out from DC.
Sabrina Gell
This place is pretty tiny, but they move at a fast pace. It is separated into smaller sections, and you have to take busses between or go out and back through security. This is how we found out they move fast, though. I don't see Starbucks in this terminal which I find interesting. I think there was one in the third terminal, though. Several food places and stores in this small terminal, and the place is pretty clean.
Rebecca Jackson
Good food, good service, and good atmosphere. I gave it a 3 instead of a 4 because there is no parking lot for this restaurant. You have to find street parking with meters or a public parking garage a block away.
Shonda Salami
The airport looks great and the renovation is excellent. There is a lot more walking to get to most of the gates but it’s a great remodel. The security check lines were still a little lengthy but they moved quickly. The TSA pre check and clear both have separate lines and there was no one waiting in those lines. There are new restaurants available now. The seating at the gates are much better and modern. Overall this is still one of my favorite airports for the convenience and quality. It’s gotten even better now (forgot to take photos)
Ufuoma Akpotaire
Reagan airport is beautiful. I would say arrive early so that you do not spend a long time going through security. If you are someone who likes to grab a few things before yout flight, there are a few options available.
Jesse Roberts
Pretty quick and easy to get in and out. If you're visiting the district, this is a much closer option than Dulles. Cheaper cab / Uber fare to hotels near the mall, etc.
Dens Maish
Well worth the extra cost to fly in to Reagan. Much more convenient access to downtown DC. I used ride share upon landing but metro is a tenth of the price
M Riley
It isn't a bad airport. However with the consolidation of the security checks point, it is less convenient and takes more time to get through security and to your gate. Previously each terminal had its own security, which made the lines shorter and move faster. Now it takes more time and a lot more walking to get all the way over to the security point and then back across the airport to the terminals and gates
Ted Shortliffe
TSA greatly improved. No longer one for each concourse, which allows easy transfer between gates on different concourses.
Darby Whorton
Very good place. I love Maryland and DC. Been there several times. Check it out the place is very historical!
Lindsay Sherrard
I love the food choices, I got some shawarma at a Lebanese place! Also a great latte at the Dunkin' Donuts. Courteous and efficient staff. I was impressed with the beauty of the ceiling architecture.
Andrew
Hands down the BEST airport in the DC metro area with direct non-stop flights to practically every major US city as the airport serves as a hub for American, not to mention incredibly convenient location within a quick drive or metro ride to most of DC and North Virginia. Terminal 2 in particular is incredibly well-designed with beautiful modern architecture and views of the DC landmarks in the distance, great restaurants/bars/shops/services, and multiple airline lounges for those with airline status on either American, United, or Delta..
Becky Noske
I mean what can you say. Its an airport. But there are good restaurants and my experience through security was quick and painless.
Jose Esta
Everything was so easy. Plane left on time. And hostesses are very nice and polite
Maria Brown
Is ok they have many restaurants but need more waiting seats is not big and you can take the metro and do conections with the buses.
Jessica
Great restaurant selection including Starbucks, Dunkin donuts, Chick-fil-A and several sit-down options.
Was just here for my layover and was easy to navigate.
anthony lee
Signs confusing some is terminal 1 some gates A. Need more and clearer signs n posts. Has the metro in main terminal 2 . Closest to dca . Bwi and iad is much farther 20-30 miles from dc
Citlalic Zuniga
Got lost trying to find the rental place…
It’s in the second floor if you want to walk to it. Keep left, but 1st floor outside for the shuttle.
Agh. Never want to return to the rental place…so confusing.
Gregg Hanchett
Very well organized and easy to navigate. (Area near Gates 43,55). Nice views of planes and clear sight of Washington Monument. Food was abundant (Starbucks, DD, etc plus others), restrooms clean. Good free Wi-Fi access. (American Airlines)
Shaheer Mirza
Old, seems like hasn't been renovated since the 90's, there are wasps everywhere outside of the buildings and flights outbound of this airport are always packed, location is the only good thing
Amanda Cropper
The new security checkpoint and terminal are so much nicer than they used to be. Good riddance, 35X!!! No one misses you. 😆 …
Sherri T.
The airport is fine...it was a looooong walk from the rental car drop off point toTerminal 1 to my Frontier flight checking and bag drop. No expexted.... but got my steps in!
Jan Herin
Great airport to get around in. The new E Terminal is so modern, spacious and has access to chargers, restaurants and small shops.
Monica Mondloch
Overly crowded these days, baggage and pick/up and drop off are generally disasters. There's never enough places to sit so I usually go to the central bar and buy something to earn the right to sit somewhere. At least security is usually fast.
Chris Woolard
Easy to Navigate. The airport was consistently being cleaned. I had a smooth transition through the airport. I'd recommend getting there 1.5 hours before your flight to be at your gate at a comfortable time. Restaurants were open but not many shops open.
BILL EDELMAN
Excellent transfer point for our connection from FL. Lots of choices for food/drink. Very well appointed terminal.
Andrew Brown
It's pretty much like every other airport. Not that big so it's easy to navigate.
Debbey McMillan
Worse trip ever! Now don't get me wrong they have everything on side the terminals, but getting to them is the problem everything is so stretched out and you better have good running shoes bc you will need them to get from one flight to the next without it leaving you behind!!!!
Jerry Riter
The airport is a city airport. DC is 5 minutes away. No waiting for taxi.
David Banks
The renovating of DCA has created an environment where passengers can have an even better experience... literally every step of the way.
Eric Hudson
Love the Delta SkyClub here. Staff and service is consistent with other SkyClubs I have visited. I really enjoyed my stay.
Coleman Reed
Terminals B, C, D, and E at Washington National are beautiful, but Terminal A is a spartan, antiquated relic stuck in the year 1966. Terminal A is the only reason I can't give this airport a five-star review.
Alex Ritz
I love the architecture of the DCA airport. And I also like the fact that it’s connected to the metro, because having a ride on the metro is very fun. And as a result of how much I like the metro and how much I like the DCA airport, that’s why I traveled to Washington DC for my birthday in August 2019.
Vitaliy Glotov
Beautiful airport. Getting to rental cars takes a while. Nice view of Washington DC skyline.
JK Hunter
Nice airport. Small. But cool. Very busy everytime I come through. I ate at Custom Burger. I had a veggies burger and fries 🍟...IT WAS 👌🏽🆒🤤😋🔥🥰❤️🔥
(@jkhunter1 on IG/Celeb MUA) …
Piotr Zawiślak
Big airport with a well organized personal control and direction signs. Unfortunately departures and arrivals tables are not updated very often. Moreover screens with a flight details next to the gates have wrongly assigned destinations
Mr. So AndSo
I had a great experience h traveling through Reagan. The TSA was very helpful. People in VA and DC are great very colonial and patriotic I had a great time. see you again soon
VA Until we meet again. Cheers !
Laurie Zabala
I really like this small airport. Easy in & easy out. Security line moves decently fast. Reminds me of Burbank airport in CA.
Fairly good food options at the Southwest terminal (terminal 1). Boar's Head makes hot sandwiches. I had the "somewhat healthy turkey sanwich" (actual menu name). It was tasty. Innovative, efficient, & quick self checkout/pay for items purchased.
Mark Mauren
I can't recommend using the DC METRO to access the airport. Some of the lines are currently down, but it really is convenient and will save you a lot of money in the end.
Josh Burt
Very clean and tidy airport. I had a flight at 11am, success to the airport at 8.30 and had no issues at all, through security in a matter of minutes.
Sheena Thompson
TSA Precheck is top notch. I'm
always checked in and waiting in terminal within 15 min or less
India Green
The airport was clean and the staff was friendly and polite. The wait was kinda frustrating because the connecting plane gate was changed 3 times before boarding but other than that everything went well.
Sheryl Dobbins
Great airport with good vendors but you always wait a REALLY long time for your luggage in baggage claim
Dee
TSA was courteous and efficient. Moved people along quickly and they were not rude or grouchy.
Tomás Castro
Super easy layout and enough food options…
John Comita
The airport is easy to maneuver until you have to schlep your luggage to the rental cars.
Jon "maddog" Hall
In DC for a week of sightseeing. Flying from BOS to DCA instead of Dulles made it a lot easier and faster to get too and from our downtown AirB&B.
Chloe Costello
When me and my brother flew here as unaccompanied minors everyone was so nice! The service is great and I would recommend going to this airport!
Genison R Gaillac
Easy enough to navigate lots of places to eat and ride-share is near bag claim, can't complain
Jery White
Easy airport to access and understand traffic flow to the gates. Security was painless.
Stephanie Shinkle
Great little airport. I lo e how quickly I can get in..waiting for bags takes a bit..but lea ing feom here is streamlined.
Michele Vigil
It was great got off the plane walked down a long hall with shopping on both sides and it led to the exit.
Kathleen Bland
Love flying into Reagan International Airport over Dulles. Much more convenient for the metro and DC activities.
Carole Tea
TSA checker (young man X2) were trying to exert their power of being in charge, however they did not know the procedures and had to keep asking for help. They were out of their league in intelligence. Sad showing for TSA.
Derek Rice
TSA went pretty quick, and there were enough shops that helped with speeding up departure time
Rich Porter
The airport is very nice, TSA staff were very friendly. My only complaint about the airport is the lack of Coca-Cola products.
Jonathan Greenstein
It's an airport.
Standard accommodations for travelers. No on site hotel but there are several close by.
Be prepared for Washington, DC traffic if coming here from the south.
Access roads are well marked but the interstate system is a hodge podge and can lead to a trip into Maryland.
As for facilities it's ok. The standard overpriced sundry shops, coffee and bars. The latter offers a chance to meet other road warriors or itinerant travelers.
James Daniel
I'm able to get thru this airport fairly quickly there are some great spots around here and with it being airport prices they are still decent.
marlene murray
Lots of food choices. Terminal is clean. Nice variety of shopping.
