On October 1, 2022 I fell and broke 2 ribs and fractured 3 ribs. After a week in hospital, it was suggested I go to rehab for PT and OT. I chose Princess Anne Health and Rehabilitation. I was in so much pain. After my check in, I was comforted by CNAs and staff. My 9 day stay was welcoming. The entire staff was outstanding. The nurses were accommodating to my fear of needles. They made sure I was handled with care. Everyday was like I was with family. The OT and PT staff was friendly and made sure I didn't do more than needed to not over assert myself. Upon my day to leave, a few came in to wish me well on my healing. After a few days home, office worker Shasha called to check on me! Totally unexpected and very appreciated!! Thank you to all the staff for making my stay a pleasant one. God Bless!!

Everyone was so nice, I really enjoyed my stay at Princess Anne rehab (hotel lol) Every one of the staff did their job very professionally and made sure their patients were well taken care of without complaint. The food could be a little better, sometimes a little cold, sometimes a little spicy, sometimes not so great, and sometimes pretty good. I would recommend Princess Anne Rehab to anyone needing to go to rehab. Thank you for a very nice stay and thank you to all PT’s and OT’s they are awesome

I was a patient for 3 1/2 weeks after having back surgery. The day and night nursing staff was very attentive to my needs, especially during the first two weeks when I was experiencing the most discomfort. The physical and occupational therapists helped me recover my strength and relearn practical daily skills. My recovery was greatly enhanced during my stay at Princess Anne Health and Rehabilitation Center.

I gave a 3 overall, however I would rate their physical and occupational therapy a 5. I will not go into detail due to my pursuant of certain items. If you want excellent therapy, this is the facility. However, I would highly recommend you would be thoroughly involved with your loved ones care, medications and overall health.

I am ever so grateful for such a great staff. The team that's working with my family member have been phenomenal. They ALWAYS call with updates, whenever my family member has a medical concern and I address it with Erica, Carrie, Deryl, Fee or anyone...they are on top of it! Deryl has my family member WALKING...mind you he came in on a stretcher, unable to lift his legs! Not only are they professional, they care for the patients as if they are their own. They have a special place in my heart and I thank them all.

I’ve decided to change my poor review to a much better one because on my next visit all of my concerns were addressed immediately by staff. It was spot on. Im still fumbling a little through things but as I said before, they are short staffed. My dad is here temporarily but once you get to know them, the ladies are very nice and helpful. The center is clean, well taken care of and a good, safe place to recover.

My Mom has been here about a week now and I can not express the relief our family feels that she is here and not some other facility. I have worked in many rehabs centers over 13 years and this one is at the top of the many I have experienced. It is different times now with covid and the staff are truly working their bottoms off to provide good care. My Mom is happy here and that is what matters most.

When I visited, the staff was friendly, patient and helpful starting with Cheryl at the front desk assisting with the check in process and taking temperatures. During our visit, we asked for assistance positioning our loved one and received help right away.

Excellent staff provided excellent care for my mom. Regrettably the Discharge staff agreement to discharge and transport was not followed through adequately. Several phone calls later there were conflicting reasons and explanations that required an ill at home family member to voluntarily pick up my mother. This all occurred on her 87th birthday.

I started working here in October 2019, I love it here, for the most part I have had all good experiences here from the top dogs to the low man on the totem pole, anytime I have asked for help from anyone, without hesitation, I got it, I try to make the patients stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible considering. I Love Princess Anne so much. Since I have been employed there, I have had a superior experience so far. All of the staff are friendly and polite. I Love Mrs. Leslie in HR. She has a wonderful personality and a great heart. I love the unit 4 CNA's because they actually work together to get the job done. The housekeepers actually help. The facility is very clean and up kept. You actually have supplies to work with. Overall, I love this place. Everyone is nice and helpful. You feel like family!!!!

The one Star came from my 3 year old playing on my phone after I called Last week If I was going leave a 1 star myself I would’ve left a reason why ...... Honestly this place has some of the best Nurses and Cna’s I have ever meet that’s the only reason for 5 stars due to them ! The residents were wonderful! Kitchen crew WONDERFUL! Physical therapy Wonderful! Hr Mrs. Leslie/Erika I thank you both especially for the opportunity . I enjoyed working for this company. Unfortunately the Don (Kathy) at this place is terrible & I feel so bad for the ones under her that’s scare to speak up . I have seen this place Lose so many good nurses behide her pure ignorance alone with false documentation . After working here for over a year I was going to fight to come back Knowing I was a excellent worker that really did care for my co workers and residents even being prn I worked full time hours to help out In my co workers would definitely agree but having a Don that doesn’t even care for her good workers or residents why try ! Good Luck to all my fellow Nursing staff members! New hires please be mindful of this ! Hopefully with the new company brings new changes !

I’m currently attending TCC’s Nurse Aid program. This is where we’re doing our clinicals and I must say this is one of the cleanest facilities I’ve seen. The staff are helpful and encouraging. The director of HR and Admissions Coordinator (I think that was her title), Erica welcomed us with open arms. I can’t wait to go back!

This place is the best around... I had my mother at a different rehab and immediately got her transferred here because the other place was a dump. Princess Anne Health and Rehab has the most kind staff! From nursing to therapy to the cleaning ladies! Everyone made a positive impact! She even enjoyed the food!

My mom has been at Princess Anne for a year and a half. Their cleanliness is top notch, in the facility and individual rooms by their excellent housekeeping staff, and in the way the CNAs care for the individual residents and patients. Transition to this type of facility is hard enough on family so it's comforting to know that the rehab and nursing staff, the administrator, housekeepers, food service staff as well as the receptionist all listen to you and take the necessary steps to ensure needs and concerns are addressed, and your loved ones are in good hands. I am grateful.

I rate the long term care my mother received at Princess Anne Health & Rehabilitation Center as excellent. In August 2014, just prior to her 93rd birthday she fell in her apartment and injured her shoulder. She spent a week in the hospital and then was transferred to Bayside Health & Rehabilitation Center (another MFA facility) for rehab. After the week in the hospital she lost the ability to walk. Bayside did an excellent job rehabbing her shoulder and helping her to walk enough with a walker to use the bathroom and dress herself. It was obvious that she could not live alone anymore and I was able to arrange for her to stay at Bayside full time. The Princess Anne facility was under construction, and in August 2015, I was able to have her transferred to the new facility. She had a private room with a large shared (with one other person) bathroom. The nurses and CNA's and entire staff were wonderful and very caring. For about two years she worked out with an on-site athletic trainer who was fantastic. By the time she turned 96 1/2 she was slowing down and no longer went to the "gym." She continued to get excellent care and attention. The excellent care continued to the night that she passed away on August 2019, just prior to her 98th birthday. The staff on duty the night she passed were particularly professional and caring. They attended to all the details with the funeral home. My thanks to all the administrators, nurses, assistants, and therapists who took care of "Miss Joyce" for four years at Princess Anne Health & Rehabilitation Center. Lee Mitchell

I would love to give 5 stars But.. the CNAs are not where they should be due to age I believe they think 🤔 they don’t need daily care like a night gown at nite and it calls for patients over load well understood it means you don’t have time to sit once you are at work older people would like to be put to bed after a long day of therapy call bells answer and assessed what they can do to help you don’t just assume everyone can stand Pay attention to what you dress them in The place is lovely you should want them to look lovely as well thanks for the care I do see happening

My name is Michael Riggs. I was a recent patient at the Princess Anne Health & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach, VA for about 5 weeks. I had a wonderful experience during my stay. As a result, I would like to commend several people who worked with me that I thought were exceptional . They were Jody McIntyre (PT), Donna Burger (OT) and Chris Mason (CNN). Jody McIntyre is a highly experienced Physical Therapist who specializes in stroke recovery. Although I was assigned other excellent therapists during my stay, Jody went above and beyond the call of duty for me. She was extremely knowledgeable and skilled in working with me. She was “no nonsense” when it came to working with me. Knowing that it was critical that I recover quickly from a triple stroke, Jody took the time to explain to me how critical it was to work hard and work smart. Jody helped me move forward quickly with my recovery and was very thorough in her approach to my treatment. Jody inspired me to relearn how to walk again and truly cared for my wellbeing. If I had to depend on one therapist to get me through this, I would highly recommend Jody for the task. She was always available to me, worked very hard for all of her clients and truly cared for everyone. She is a credit to her profession and simply a great therapist to work with. She is highly respected among her peers for a reason. She inspires excellence wherever she works and truly deserves to be recognized for her efforts. The next person I want to recognize is Donna Burger. She is an Occupational Therapist who brightens the room just by being in it. She is truly a remarkable person. She is always sporting a smile and has a wonderful attitude. Donna is a credit to her profession and also an excellent therapist. Donna is known amongst her peers as “Giggles” because she always giggles. She brings a smile to everyone she meets. Donna was very personable as well being very professional in the execution of her duties. Her approach to Occupational Therapy is fully understanding her client’s home life and instructing the client how to best approach these daily tasks without fall or risk of injury. Donna approaches her job in an energetic and cheerful manner. I always looked forward to working with Donna. She is bright and very industrious. She brings out the best in her clients and more than deserving of employee recognition. The final person I wish to recognize (and certainly not the least) is Chris Mason. Chris does so many things to make your stay at the facility as effortless and care free as possible. During my stay, Chris took a personal interest in my welfare. Every day Chris saw to it that I was well taken care of. Every time I left my room, Chris made sure that my needs were fulfilled. It was if she could read my mind. She made sure that I was clean and well groomed. She made my bed and straightened up my room. She made sure that I received my meals. She waited on me hand and foot and then thanked me for being of service. Not only did provide me with first class service but I witnessed how well she serviced others. Chris simply provided me and others with the best service that was available and was completely selfless in carrying out her duties. Chris is highly deserving of employee recognition (and in my opinion) and is a valuable employee in the service of the people she serves. There is no harder working employee. Overall the employees at this institution were first class and were too numerous to recognize. They all were polite and made sure you were well taken care of. Everyone spoke to you and were truly interested in your welfare. The food was great and you could not ask for a better employee staff. I wholeheartedly recommend Princess Anne Health and Rehabilitation Center to anyone in need of rehabilitation. Thanks again for a great stay!

I just want to share a story with you. You may know I was moved to a rehab facility last Friday. Not sure how long I'll be here. My appetite has been really bad because everything tastes bad to me! Between my sister Michelle Brown and friends Denise Watkins and LuAnn Cengia Reed they have brought me all kinds of things to tempt my appetite. Some worked and some didn't. One thing I crave and can eat are apples! Any kind will do. My second day here I asked for one but they didn't keep those here. Not a lot of requests for them. So later on that evening one of the lpns came in and brought me an apple! One of her coworkers had it in her lunch bag and she asked if she could give it to me! She was off the next day but when she came in the next she brought me an apple! This morning I wake up and there on my nightstand is another shiny cold red apple! I asked where it came from and was told one of the aides brought it for me! I'm not even sure up til now which one. If that wasn't enough to wake up to the lady from housecleaning came and gave me a hug and kiss on my head💜 I know this is a long post and I haven't posted much lately but I wanted to share this. The incredible small gestures that can make a persons day. Try to do at least one small thing everyday to make someone else happy. Even strangers. It may be the only nice thing that happens to them that day. It doesn't have to cost you anything. A smile a compliment a hug or maybe just an 🍎
