A great ride between St. Pete and Tampa at a bargain price. You get a whole different view of our bay cities. Handicap accommodating. Take your bike. It's not a car ferry. We had a special treat of seeing the Blue Angels performing exercises for the air show on our way back to St Pete!

Loved the trip to St. Petersburg and back to Tampa, like all places you are required to have a mask, but not forced to wear it. So what is really the point of having to have one, and no one knows what 6' means everyone is so close. People are drunk and trying to talk over everyone else, just need to get ear plugs!

I loved this experience. Living just 40 mins away in Sarasota, I’m surprised I never heard of it before. Only 8 dollars on per trip. Easy boarding process. Comfy seats inside on the first level. Open to the air and blocked from the wind on the second. Best seats are in the back on the first level. ADA friendly too! 2 bathrooms available as well, one roomier than the other. Definitely book a few days in advance, maybe sooner if you are planning on going on the weekend as it gets booked quick. Best date day trip ever!

“60+ review...for those young at heart!” Pending review Some tips from my recent trip! 1.) Book online for tickets ahead of time for the weekend trips or very likely you will be disappointed trying to buy at the ticket gate. 2.) Closest parking on the Tampa side is by the the traffic circle near the cruise departure terminal. Leave extra time if you go the weekend mornings as there are TONS of "cruisers" and their cars clogging the area. When we parked it was $15.00 for the day. 3.) Once parked, head for the Aquarium entrance as the ferry gate entrance is wedged in the corner towards the right of the entrance. 4.) The ferry entrance gate only opens a half hour before the trip. Go too early and you'll be trying to find a bench as there is nothing else around there to do or eat. 5.) If you have a walker or cane the gangplank to the ferry will be challenging. My father who is 92 would not make it for sure. 6.) The ship has limited seating in the front with gale force winds once you reach cruising speed. The inside has plenty of seating and air conditioned. The rear of the ship is open but under the cover gets pretty hot. 7.) When we went the ship attendants were a bit grumpy especially the bicycle loading guy. 8.) The St Pete dock was temporary and drops you by the park near the restaurants. Enjoy your Voyage....

A really cool and fun way to commute between Tampa and St. Pete. The ferry departure locations offer lots to do in the surroundings area such as the pier, restaurants, shopping, and simply just beautiful views etc all attractions are in walking distance too! I loved the fact that the ferry served small snacks and drinks while on board (including adult beverages!) along with a restroom to use during the commute. The ferry is wheelchair accessible and offers space for bikes to be brought onboard. The cross bay ferry is really unique in it’s nature and I’m so happy that it is hear to stay! Rumor has it….that they’ll be even more boats available soon to offer more opportunities for those wanting to travel. Whether you are attending an event, wanting to meet up for lunch, get to work, or just wanting to experience it for yourself….I highly recommend the cross bay ferry :D Just make sure to book your tickets early and in advance on the site!

Got there and no parking and no help on the ferry information on parking location. We miss the ferry, los our money getting lost. I would suggest listing some parking options near you.

The option itself keeps these stars high. It's a beautiful route and the 45 minutes goes quickly. However I would love to have this year round. I'm aware it's not equipped for our hurricane season and changes are coming. It should be listed on the website because I was trying to book and no one was answering emails or phone calls. O.k the boat is a small ferry and you better get there earlier, once it's full, that's it. The windows on one side are cloudy and need replacement because you can't see out of them and you miss out on the experience. The crew was cool. One grumpy guy behind the bar who kept acknowledging everyone but us. Excited about the new season and a new boat.

Took the free Sunday ferry round trip. So much fun, smooth sailing and quick ride. We got to the ticket booth about 8:45 and had no problem getting tickets. Definitely recommend.

Nice, leisurely way to go to St Pete & back to Tampa. The seating was comfortable seating, bar to have a cocktail & beautiful views. Only 45 minutes & tickets were $10 each way - you can't beat the price & a nice way to spend a day on either side of the bay.

I love taking the Cross Bay Ferry! My fiancé and I have had great experiences every time. The workers are friendly, the ferry is well maintained and the ride is smooth and carefree. They also have a full bar onboard, which is a plus! Make sure you’re on time because this ferry is very punctual, we’ve seen people get left behind on many occasions after being only a few minutes late.

I would recommend the this experience to anyone and everyone! Just be prepared on the colder days. At least once a year, my partner and I take the ferry from Tampa to St. Pete and and have an unplanned date day in St. Pete for a few hours then back on the ferry to Tampa. The experience of being on the ferry is part of the date. I don’t know what to say to convince you to take the ferry, because you are essentially just taking a boat ride, but it has been a fun experience for me every time. No traffic to sit in or drivers to annoy you, just the open bay and the wind in your hair as you are ferried from on side of the bay to the other. They have a few times a day they travel, at least on the weekends, and whether you go from St. Pete to Tampa or Tampa to St. Pete, I would suggest starting early and coming home late, and making a day of wherever you go. You’ll have fun.

We had such a nice time going from Saint Petersburg to Tampa on the ferry .Beautiful view of both sides . hanging out there for the day and seeing all the sites . Downtown has a lot of shops and roosters walking around 😂 We loved the old fashion trolly .definitely do it again !

I really enjoyed my trip from Tampa to St. Pete after the Lightning game. The ferry is fast and smooth, and some of the views are really nice, though I was on it at night. The location of the stops is prime. They also serve drinks aboard.

This Ferry is such a wonderful option as a work commute, what I used it for when I had Catering shifts in the downtown Tampa area. It's a super comfortable and scenic ride from St. Pete.

Took the ferry round trip yesterday from St. Pete to Tampa. Left on time (to the second), enjoyed a wonderful day in Tampa with all its activities, and returned to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the on-time return trip. Staff was extremely courteous and safe. Probably the GREATEST enjoyment for $10 going!! If you like water excursions, do it NOW!!!

Better than driving across the bridge, but had to deal with line cutters and rowdy drunks throwing full water bottles at a garbage can next to my seat. I'd probably try this again, hopefully my next experience is better because this is very convenient.

Have taken several times. Always very fun. Have taken out of town guests too and they loved it. Actually cheaper than an Uber to st Pete. This just in, the boat will leave at the exact time it’s scheduled to leave. Can’t believe how many clueless people gave this thing bad reviews because they showed up late and the boat had already left. In my experience get there about 10-15 min before departure. That way you can line up and assure yourself the seat you want.

Relaxing trip to St Pete. Comfortable seats, tables and food and drinks available. You can bring your bike on board. I hope every one supports the ferry so that they will expand the hours of operation. Check seat availability and get your tickets online. Wehen we went we did not know the exact location of the ferry. There Is no sign indicating where the ferry docked. It is directly behind the Convention center snack area. It is a stress free way to travel to St Pete and you do not need to worry about parking when you arrive.

I took this big boat with my girl and my daughter it was so much fun the boat goes very fast you get a crossed town very quickly without having to deal with traffic and you get some cool sites on the way I can’t wait until this this thing opens back up so I can go again I will be doing it regularly just for fun love going to Saint Pete from Tampa. It’s like a mini vacation and I can go back home at the end of the day

Took a one way ferry from Tampa to the beautiful St. Pete beach drive. If you book online you will have to book separate tickets for both ways. It was a 50 minutes ride. Perfect to spend weekend with family or friends.

It was a Saturday I was downtown Tampa trying to get to St Pete. The PSTA BUS 100X DOESN'T RUN SAT & SUN. I had to take a bus to Tampa International then transfer to another 3 buses to cone back to St Pete. That trip took from 8AM to 6PM that Saturday. I made a mistake of entering the Airport that you need a scooter or a Segway to go from one end to another after the monorail. Will not try that day trip again.
