Reviews of Argosy Cruises - Seattle Waterfront
Ramaz J
excellent cruise, interesting and beautiful places the ship sails. the guide tells everything very well throughout the walk and well done for not getting tired 👍😎 two hours passed unnoticed. great view of the city. it's very interesting when the locks are closed, the water is released and the ship rises a few feet higher. many houseboats, expensive yachts and large cruise ships can be seen. There are drinks and food on the ship. better hurry up early so the good place is busy. better in front but the sun and wind can interfere. we sat back to the right and I liked it. if you leave the embankment side of the lake, it is better to take the right side. If you are going one way, then think in advance how to go further from there. Taxi is not immediately available. I am very satisfied and I advise everyone to ride. thanks to the captain and crew members and wish you success and always a fair wind 🤝
Drew Streeter
The weather was beautiful, so on a whim, I took an hour cruise. It was perfect. Getting tickets was easy and they were reasonably priced. The staff was friendly. The boat was nice and there are options to be inside or outside. I went with the top deck. The tour narrator was fun, informed, and upbeat. I would definitely recommend this cruise to everyone!
Christiane Highfill
07/18/2022: This was an excellent experience! Thoroughly enjoyed the harbor cruise and the narration of the sights. The crew was very welcoming and hospitable. The ride was comfortable and allowed for some beautiful photos. Next time I'd like to try the 2 hour excursion with the bus ride back to Seattle. Bonus feature was the availability of a bar and snacks!
Micah Russell
Fantastic views and something for both my wife and I. I'm all about the photos while my wife loves the history. I was able to walk around, snap some pics, and enjoy the great views while my wife watched from the inside - loving what this trip had to offer. This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Seattle and wasn't one that we had on our list - highly recommend going here if you have an hour to spare.
Gary Jelks
A great way of spending an hour in Seattle.
The cruise was great. Ross, our guide for the trip was funny, entertaining and knowledgeable.
The weather was fantastic so there was a lot I see.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
You get a clear perspective of the city from the bay.
Definitely worth the money and trip.

It was a beautiful, perfect weather day for a boat ride. We took the two-hour lock cruise which was really interesting. The crew also provided informative commentary of the sights, landmarks and area history. The lock tour is one-way, and we opted to walk back to our hotel in Bell Town (about a fifteen minute walk) instead of catching the bus for an extra $10 per person. The bus was waiting at the parking lot for anyone who wanted to catch it.
Drew Landgrebe
This was a fun and informative tour. It lasted about an hour and did a big circle. We say the city skyline as well as great views of Mt. Rainier. They took us up close to some of the giant cargo ships that were loading and unloading in the port.
The boat was spotless and the crew was friendly.
There was a bar with drinks, snacks and sandwiches for purchase.
It was a great way to see the city from the water.
Samantha W.
Getting first to board gives you a first choice of seats on the deck, but you're allowed to walk around and take pictures /get drinks etc whenever you want to on this tour. Unless you really want to be first I'd say save the money and opt for general admission. Lines move fast and all the seats are good seats on this tour.
The tour guide was wonderful and the views spectacular.
Ashkan Alkhamisi
We went on the Argosy Locks Cruise and had an amazing time! This is the perfect 2 hour cruise for anyone who wants to enjoy learning about various landmarks of Seattle. Our tour guide John was incredible and did a great job narrating all of the different spots we passed by. The highlight of the cruise is the Locks canal where you enter a narrow passage and make a stop and watch the sea level of the boat rise your boat up so you can pass between the salt water and fresh water. Very cool experience!
Protato
Absolutely thrilling and enriching experience. Our tour guide was super helpful and knew plenty of fun facts to keep us entertained during the hour we spent on the cruise. Overall great time and could not recommend this enough if you have the city pass or if you just want a fun time to see the beautiful sights and all Seattle has to visually offer!
Azhar Malik
It was a fun 1 hour cruise in Puget Sound. The commentary/presentation is great as it gives you a relatively detailed history regarding Seattle and it’s surroundings. Beautiful views of the skyline, if the visibility is good you can even see the Olympic mountains as well as Mount Rainier. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Seattle as you get to see a lot in a short amount of time and the tickets are worth the price!
Nana
It’s very informative tour! A guide explains Seattle almost for a half hour! I board an hour boat and I learned a lot. It was rainy day. when I was on the boat, luckily it stopped for an hour. I can see pretty much a lot. Space needle, some sculptures in the park, MS , smith building, big containers etc. I came with my baby and she also enjoyed the boat riding.
Alain Ortiz
Such a fun experience with amazing views. Definitely a must when visiting Seattle. The cruise ship has multiple decks with indoor and outdoor viewing. The cruise staff is very friendly and the guide was very informative.
Nathan Mikesell
A great time on the water! Make reservations and enjoy the second to none views! The tour guide is informative and fun, they have a full bar to better enjoy your time in the sun and breeze. Definitely worth the time and the money during a day visit to Seattle!
Corey Hailey
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. And if your a tourist I highly recommend it. You should also buy a citipass if you plan on going this. It gives you access to this, the space needle, the zoo, the aquarium, and museum of pop culture.
But the cruise itself was a fun experience they e en have a bar on board. Also it gave a lot of super informative information about the city not to mention a lot of good photo ops of the waterfront and the city itself. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't have a real camera. My S22 camera just didn't do these views enough justice.
Christina L
Visited Seattle for the first time with my family. Purchased the City Pass because I knew we’d want to visit several attractions. Truth be told the harbor tour was low on my list of attractions I wanted visit. Main reason was that my husband and one of my daughters tends to get seasick. Well I am so glad we decided to check it out. The boat was not rocky at at (so no one got seasick) but also it was an amazing tour. The guide/narrator was great and we really enjoyed hearing about the city’s history and fun facts. I definitely recommend it if visiting Seattle! I give it five stars.
Angela Roy (Travel Tech)
Absolutely worth the ride! It's about an hr long but the information given along the way is very knowledgeable and interesting. Our tour guide was outstanding. Would highly recommend.
(We used the Seattle City Pass to get tickets)
Heather Schumacher
Gorgeous day, excellent tour guide explained everything we were seeing and we even got to see both a cruise ship coming into Port and a cargo ship docking. Entire staff was outstanding. Highly recommend 10/10.
Nehal J Wani
Unexpectedly awesome! I went for it only because the one hour ride came with the CityPass, but I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle for the first time. The ride starts exactly at the time mentioned on the ticket and ends exactly after an hour. The guide told us various facts about Seattle and also threw in a few jokes!
Brandy Greene
Our host and captain knew a plethora about Seattle. They pointed out different sites. We went on a beautiful Seattle day. Had a mimosa that was delicious. The entire crew was welcoming. I really enjoyed it a lot!
Jesse Williamson
Definitely one of the most enjoyable tours I've taken on a boat. The guided tour was very informative and fun. You can also order food and drinks, including a full bar. There is interior and deck seating, both equipped with great views of the surrounding mountains, cityscape, and docks. (Bring your coat during winter months of you're going topside, it was quite chilly on the open water). The staff was also extremely friendly and happy to be of service.
I highly recommend trying to go on a clear day, which can be a bit of an ask in Seattle, but you will enjoy a great view of Mt. Rainier if you do! I couldn't recommend this tour enough. It's also part of the CityPass group of you feeling touristy and want to save some money.
Cecilia Teixeira
Excellent cruise along Seattle shore.
Our guide was excellent and gave a lot of useful information about the area.
Boat was spotless clean and all staff members were friendly.
It’s an excellent way to know more about Seattle.
Jessica Rodriguez
The experience was just as advertised. Our guide made it a very pleasant experience. He made the narration and description of the tour enjoyable.
Drinks were available for purchase on board and they had employees taking orders and delivering them for those that didn't want to visit the bar.
My recommendation: sit on the right side of the boat as it will give you a better view of the city and seat towards the middle or the back.
Kelley Vincent
We took the one hour Elliott Bay cruise and we had a great time. This was an 11am departure so we still had some PNW marine layer hanging in the otherwise blue sky, truly special. We were greeted with the smell of fresh popcorn and fresh Huckleberry Lemonade. The narration was fun and informative. The top deck was a fun ride, but there is plenty of indoor seating with large windows to enjoy the view out of the wind. Our only regret was not having time for the longer cruise. It is also handicapped accessible and they have wheel chairs at the dock. The parking for everything at the waterfront is at the city lot and is $50.00 for 2-12 hours, we did the Argosy cruise, the Aquarium and enjoyed a nice lunch at The Fisherman's Restaurant before leaving Seattle. Good value in Seattle with the City Pass for 5 sights.
Jenn Hergert
Ryan was an amazing guide! I have done this tour probably 10 times and I learned the most from Ryan. It was also a lucky, beautiful day. I always love the Locks cruise and Argosy in general. It truly is the best way to see the most of Seattle. The whole crew is so friendly, too!
Zachary Schneider
Shawn the tour guide and deck hand did a great job. He instilled a ton of knowledge on us during the cruise. The kids ages 10, 8, and six enjoyed the ride. It was a nice way to see the city, and learn about its early history. I would recommend it. They have a bar and limited menu on board. Best seats would be on the top deck port side in my opinion.
Kayti Burns
This is a great experience! Our tour guide was so informative and friendly. Being from out of state, we were unsure of where to go to purchase tickets and how to board but the employees are kind and helpful. We got to see so many things that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to see in our short trip to Seattle including the Space Needle and the Naval Yard. We even got to see a Navy vessel in the dry dock. It was a little chilly up on the top deck, where it is open air. So being a light jacket. Such a great experience, and next time we are in Seattle, we will do the 2 hour tour.
Rakesh Kumar
Tour is really awesome, presenter is engaging and entertaining. Try to hope on early and get a upper desk seat if you are interested in commentary. If just want to relax make sure to grab one seat on side sofa on 1st floor deck.
Ashwin Gadupudi
This is the best place you can take a guest who is visiting the city for the first time. It is a guided tour along the Elliott bay and have a person telling you interesting facts and history about the different things you see along the cruise. I have been on this cruise 3 times to show people around and it was always the highlight of their visit.
JaJa M.C.
Not a great experience, even in perfectly sunny weather. Not enough chairs on the top deck for everyone to enjoy the sunshine. Our cruise seemed overbooked, oversold, and overcrowded. We could barely hear the tour guide over the large groups, so we spent the hour standing on a boat trying to enjoy the beautiful views of the skyline and Puget Sound.
Strongly recommend avoiding on a weekend. Try a weekday or weeknight instead.
Sneha W. Singh
The tour is alright. It’s informative, the details about every part on the tour is explained - like what is what, why, and when and how.
Drinks are served at an additional cost, the views of the skyline are great from the water.
There’s too much of information been provided all through the ride.
April B
This was a first for us, it was really fun. The kids had a blast. We were on the second deck, the drinks were well made. The staff were very polite and helpfull. They even were super sweet to the kids. That was a huge bonus. I can't wait to go on our next voyage.
Shelby McLoughlin
We did this as part of the city pass and loved it!! We booked our time about an hour in advance. We left and arrived back on time, had a really informative guide, and it was not too crowded. The views of the skyline from the water are great. There are bathrooms on board as well as a full bar. Snacks and non alcoholic drinks can be purchased as well.
James Winterswolf
(Harbor Tour) I can say without a doubt this was my favorite part of the entire weeklong vacation I had in Seattle. From the moment you arrive, the warmth and kindness from staff is evident. They're excited and ready to invite you on this incredible hour-long tour of the harbor. The boat we were on was seemingly clean and well kept. They offered alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in addition to a decent variety of snacks if you were interested. I spent the entire tour on the top deck getting the best views and it was absolutely worth it. The tour guide was also on that deck with us and he was simply awesome. He had been doing it for awhile, but he knew all the fun facts and details about the area and I felt like I was constantly learning something new as I went on this cruise. The views were also just unmatched. Being able to get away from the cars and city and see the area in a different way was absolutely worth it. I will say, if you want to get a good look at the distant mountains on this tour, try and book it on a rare sunny Seattle day for the best visibility.
Kelsey D
We loved the tour and it was the perfect length at an hour. Our guide stumbled over words a lot, but he was very knowledgeable on the city and it was cool to hear about the facts. We also got some cool pictures.
David Herlocker
1 hour tour. Did not see Gilligan or get shipwrecked. Was a beautiful afternoon to cruise the harbor. Great views of the skyline and Mount Ranier was clear also. Boat is large and has indoor and outdoor seating. It will take you north past the cruise ship terminals and back into the working port area where you can see container ships. Our tour guide was very informative as she described the different ships we saw. No orcas this time, but there is a possibility.
Molly
We included this attraction in our CityPass and really enjoyed the 1hr cruise and the downtown waterfront. We went thru all of downtown, around to west Seattle and rounded out at the ports. Our host Jeremy was very knowledgeable and gave lots of history and tips for the rest of our trip.
HC OakleyD
A nice way to get some photos of the city scape, tour guide also offered plenty of useful advice for the rest of our trip.
Unfortunately half of the hour long trip as part of the city pass was spent sailing through and talking about shipping containers, which wasn't my idea of fun.
Each to their own I guess
James Naismith
It’s a good way to see Seattle. We left pier 52 and captain Amy sailed us to the lock to lake union. Good view of city from both the sound and the lake. What makes this special and worth the 60usd per head was Josh the guide. He tales most of the voyage. He was interesting and informative. This made it a great 2 hrs. Highly recommend if Josh is your guide. Photo is view from the water.
Gordon Craig
Great cruise and staff. Friendly and great commentary from an all female crew. It was not too busy, so don't worry about buying the skip the line fare but this may work when they're busier.
Cat Cosby
Such a fun experience! The staff went above and beyond! I asked a member if he would take a picture and he went beyond to take pictures in at the best spots! Amazing 🤩 and fun. The boat was updated and clean. I highly recommend …
Tuan-Anh Tran
It was a nice harbor cruise. The ship was clean and the tour guide was great. It was great to see nice views during the 1-hour cruise. It's highly recommended when visiting Seattle, WA.
waran dv
The price for this cruise is on the expensive side, but I would say it’s worth doing it once. The guided tour was very informative and the coordinator did a pretty good job in keeping it entertaining
My family and I took the one hour cruise and it was quite good. Don’t worry about the seating too much as everyone will stand up and move around as the guide keeps talking about things on the Port Vs starboard side of the ship. The additional $15 for first entry is not worth it IMO.
Tecle Gebremicheal
It was one of my favorite things I did in Seattle. The one hour cruise tour will help you learn a lot about Seattle.
On top of the food kitchen and drinks, Seattle’s history will be narrated throughout the tour.
Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.
Curtis
Went on the cruise tour on a beautiful day. Was able to see the city skyline and the Olympia Mountains. Also lucky enough to see orca. Tour guide spoke very clearly. There was a bar in the cruise as well. The boat was very clean. Great place to spend a sunny day!
Kellie Doyle
We enjoyed the harbor cruise! The ship was clean and comfortable. Our guide provided an informative and entertaining experience! The views were amazing!
Stephanie Corte
We were very happily surprised with the great quality of this boat tour. Even though it was a short trip around the harbor, it was a very fun and educational one. Our captain and guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We got some great photos of the skyline. It was included in the Seattle City Pass, so we were happy we chose to do this tour over visiting another one of the options. I definitely recommend to any tourists visiting.
Erin
OMG!
We did this cause of the City Pass and I have to tell you it was the best part of the city pass. They provided so much info about the city during our tour that I would suggest doing it first.
It was our last city pass event before our vacation ended and I have to admit it was a beautiful end to a spectacular week. I can't say enough good things about it. We did the last cruise on Friday night. The sun was setting and day was cooling off. Perfect.
Also if you have mobility issues they take really good care of you to keep you safe and comfortable. They know the wobble of a docked boat is sometimes awkward.
Check them out even if you don't get the CityPass.
Vanessa Ambriz
Great cruise. I recommend taking the 7:20 one, you will get amazing sunset views. Drinks are awesome, and the crewmen are very nice.
Angel Kinzig
Great time again. Did this year's ago & chose to go again. It was worth every penny. The commentator was great &very knowledgeable of Seattle's history. Good smooth trip!
K F
Our tour guide, Lars, is super knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Despite the weather, we were encouraged to get up out of our seats and walk around (inside and outside), which made the experience much more participatory. The bar was very accommodating and served good food and drink options. The Captain has a good personality too which makes for overall good teamwork.
Chris Bannister
We took the two hour locks cruise. Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable and some nice person insights too. Remember your sun screen though
Neil Fernandes
Good trip along the Seattle harbour. Informative commentary by a live guide that gave us a lot of anecdotes about the places we were passing along the harbour. Good value overall.
Jamie Waller
Although it was fairly cold and windy on the boat the ship guide provided us with a variety of interesting facts about the Seattle skyline and area and I’d recommend this tour for anyone looking to see the skyline from a unique perspective. This cruise is also included in the City Pass.
Larry Kline
We had an excellent Cruise on August 30, 2022. Our Tour Guide Samantha did an outstanding job sharing her information of Seattle and the surrounding area. Recommend highly.
John Savage
Took the 1 hour tour, left & returned on schedule, crew were very nice. Great views of the harbor and downtown.
Angel did a great job on his be first day
Callie Shackelford
We decided to do the Seattle locks cruise on a whim and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! Tour guide/deckhand Kara, Captain Amy, and Bartender Hesper were a great all-female team. Very welcoming and loads of interesting information.
Pro tips: you can buy a one way ticket or a return ticket (return is the hop-on, hop-off red bus), so be sure what you're getting when you buy the tickets. Also, you can go from either Pier54 to South Lake Union or vice versa. Be sure you're at the right dock.
We rode from the pier to the lake, then took the streetcar back to the downtown area, which took about 10 minutes. Another option at the lake end is to visit MOHAI, the Museum of History and Industry to learn more about Seattle's maritime past.
Marc Wills
The one way locks cruise was awesome. We had live narration which was great. He gave us all kinds of tidbits and facts about the area as we boated thru Elliot Bay and the Sound. Then got to experience going thru the locks which was cool. Too bad we didn't get to see any salmon migrating as it wasn't summer months, but still a great cruise to take
Meg
Don't be late. They literally closed the gates as we walked up and wouldn't let us on until a later cruise. However the actual cruise was fun, you get to see a different side of Seattle. We got our tickets through CityPass. Seems like a better value. I don't think I'd be willing to pay the full ticket price for this mini cruise. I'd rather do a longer whale watching cruise for a little more money.
Michael Mancebo
Wow! If you have the time do it! We had clear skies and saw everything! We booked using viator app and picked the noon time. We got to the pier around 1130 for a noon departure. The tour guide was amazing. The bar was flowing. The views, wow. Our tour guide was shocked we could see all the mountains and pointed them all out. A coworker identified that we could see them and the entire group stood and watched in awww. Absolutely worth it.
Omiya Kabir
We had a great time on the cruise 🛳
It was a beautiful day and we could see the mountains well. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable at the same time. The drinks served were fine but a sandwich ordered by a friend was stale (they made a refund). We were a big group of 14 friends who were sight seeing at Seattle and celebrating a friend's 40th bday. This cruise was perfect!
Hashtag Brownkatt
Perfect for newbies to Seattle who want a good tour with great detail history and scenery! The bar and service is a nice cherry on top as well! Plenty of seating, very nice!
daniel unz
A tour was highly informative. There was a bar on board which made the croud Tolerable. Regrettably we were about a week short of when the whales should be in the Harbor.
Caroline Jean-Jules
Great tour of the city! 4/7/22. Even saw a whale come up to the surface! Amy the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny ! Lots of opportunity to take nice pictures of the city line and Mt. Rainier as well.
ASH Interactive
Had a great trip! Knowledge guide, perfect amount of time for some quick exploration. Good food/drink selections convenient to other attractions that our group wanted to see too.
Nick Luchsinger
I've lived in Seattle for 11 years, but I just did a 1hr harbor tour with my Seattle CityPass when my partner was visiting Seattle, and we had a great time. The views were gorgeous and the guy narrating shared lots of interesting tidbits of Seattle history, some of which were new to me. We had to reschedule last-minute and I really appreciate how accommodating they were in rebooking us without any fuss. That said, if you're on a budget and don't have a CityPass, taking a ferry to Bainbridge Island and back is also great, way cheaper, and there's more space to roam around on the ferry.
Shawn O
Very informative. Narration of Seattle harbor cruise, plenty of room both inside and out. Also very affordable, so it won't kill the budget.
Judy Charles
Beautiful day for a harbor cruise, and Ryan did an excellent job giving lots of interesting history and facts along the way. Great views of the city. Very nice and helpful crew.
Shawn LaCourse
We did the lock cruise out of Lake Union into the Waterfront. This was by far the highlight of our side trip to Seattle. If you are going to do one thing while in the city, this is it. The guide is extremely knowledgeable, and local to the city. Just be weary of how you get to the AGC marina... Maybe avoid taking the bus, as the one we took dropped us off in a bit of a shady area (but we survived!).
Melissa Ball
Very good tour. Got to see lots of sights. Going through the Ballard locks was really neat. Definitely worth the money.
BeBetter
Good informative cruise.
Left on time. Tour takes an hour. Good view of the Seattle downtown and industrial area from the water.
Good way to learn about the history of Seattle while taking in some beauty views.
Jackie Lee
I went on the Argosy Cruises through the City Pass program, which I highly recommend you get if you ever visit Seattle. The Cruise was fantastic; the staff was friendly and informative about Seattle and the daily events in and out of the Seattle port. I recommend that you sit on the top deck of the cruise and get some stunning views of Seattle. The Argosy Cruises is a Cruise you should attend if you ever visit Seattle.
Ryan Watts
Take this cruise. Seriously. It was the highlight of our trip. The boat is spacious and comfortable, the crew is welcoming and the tour guide is very engaging. Don't miss out.
Klaudia Forgacova
Great tour from our tour guide, Ross! He’s very knowledgeable and engaging so I felt pulled in to wanting to learn the whole time and got so many cool nuggets of info from the area. The bar staff was nice too and there was enough seating. Did it as part of the city pass and glad we chose it as one of our options!
Adele Reynolds
Took the 1hr harbour cruise.
Good info from narrator and captain.
Lovely views of Seattle and Mt Rainier on a sunny day.
Was talk like a pirate, staff could have made more of this... We only got a few jokes while waiting.
Would recommend as a good way to take pics, see the harbour, Seattle skyline and learn more about the area.
Paul Shaw
Did the 2 hour version back through the locks. Good commentary gives you some nice information. Got to see Mt Reiner as well. Well worth the money
Ann C
Take the cruise! You won’t regret it. Beautiful views of the city. Very interesting information given along the way. We had a great time!
The K Green Show
Booked this as part of the city pass deal and aside from the space needle, it was the best thing on the list to do. The trip lasts an hour and we had to show vaccination cards to board. Cruise takes you around the bay and it was amazing. The views were fantastic and the tour guide kept us entertained with the history. I would recommend.
Carol Struck
Great trip! We took the 2 hour locks tour - wonderful scenery, great guide. We were glad it wasn't canceled when it started sleeting. Fun to see the skyline from the water.
Brett Matak
Awesome tour of the harbor. The guide was great and we learned a lot about Seattle while snacking and Mom having a delicious 🍸.
Elizabeth Lopez
Great tour! I highly recommend it! We went for an early morning tour and there was no line, available seating, and the snack/drinks areas was fully stocked!
Cristal Pascal
Had an amazing time with Argosy. You can get something to eat on board if you forgot to eat and want something to snack on or eat .. the young lady was Informative about Seattle which awesome for us that were just here for the weekend from California
Annie Vreeke
I've always enjoyed the harbor cruise. They share great facts about the area, the views are spectacular. Plenty of space inside of the boat and on deck. Friendly workers. All around good experience
Jenny Tumala
As part of our CityPASS option, we were treated to one of the most beautiful days in Seattle. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed viewing the city skyline and Mount Rainier from the deck. There was a lot of activity in the water that day as ships passed by, boats went by, and kayakers paddled around. Definitely worth doing while visiting Seattle.
TCPUDPATM PORTS
The Argosy cruise was a nice relaxing taxi ride on the water along with an awesome history lesson the pier, the gold rush, the crazy hotel, and many other things. We got our tickets through city pass, and it was quite reasonable. I would recommend it, but maybe not at full face value.
The view from the top deck es the best, and I loved that they also have restrooms onboard. Oh and you can also buy a beer if you like.
Ashlyn Trussel
Tour was interesting but nothing too special. I prefer the sailing tours or ferries. But it’s nice to do as part of the city pass!
Gary Grezeszak
This was a nice Harbor Tour. It was included in the City Pass. It has great views of the City. I enjoyed the views of the unloading docks as well and all the information the tour guides gave during the tour.
HeracrossB0ss
Whenever I vacation in a town with water, I try to do a boat tour, you get a unique perspective and history of a city. Argosy was a great tour and the history was incredible.
Thomas J. Burke
Awesome 2 hour! (If it was a 3 hour I would not have gone 🤓) tons of information points of interest sites you would have seen great surprise at the end. Loved it …
Oscar Roberto
Friendly staff, cruise really well maintained. Toilets were super clean which is weird in a tourist cruise.
Reasonable prices 👍
Achamma Puthoor
If you want to know the history of Seattle and take a nice guided tour with drinks then look no further! Please head to argosy cruises and get the harbor cruise which lasts for sixty minutes. The guide was very good and was very informational. He provides a good background on almost all of the famous buildings you see and throws in a couple os Jones as well. Must visit tour. You can thank me later!
allie elkins
Fantastic cruise! We went this previous Tuesday afternoon to kill some time before heading to the airport. Staff was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Great views of the city and we learned a ton about ships. Thank you guys!
Rupin Talreja
Definitely over hyped and a very tourist thing to do in Seattle but the short cruise is a nice way to see the skyline from the waterfront.
Would recommend you do 7:15 or later cruise to catch the sunset hours, arrive early to grab the right seats and get a bottle of wine to successfully check that tourist todo list
holly g
Very friendly crew, and the cruise was relaxing and entertaining. It was a great way to rest our feet while still having a new experience on our visit.

This is a must do!! The sights are spectacular from the water. Argosy staff do a very good job getting you acquainted with the Seattle skyline and loads of trivia info.
Kim Robert Scovill
Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The boat was great. The tour guide was exceptional. It was a cloudy rainy day and we still had a wonderful time.
IG JTHOMAS9104
The guide had charisma, charm, and very informative. Great view of the city skyline, boat was very clean, snacks and drinks available on board.
Bettina Alvord
The cruise was beautiful and relaxing with lots of information given by the crew. It only shows the mist beautiful sights.
Jill Kramer
The tour of the locks was fun and educational. The guide, Lars, did a great job explaining the history and features of the harbor and lakes. Going through the locks and seeing the houseboats and floating houses was fun. We left from Pier 54 and ended at Union Lake. A bus can bring you back to the pier.
Brian Manabe
The tour announcer (maybe Jeremy) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable!. The staff was great and the ship was in good order. Enjoyed our little cruise around the harbor.
BossLady Rae
I loved this quick tour. I went on a Sunday first tour out so it wasn't packed. Beautiful clear skies. Three levels for viewing and it's a guided tour so lots of information about the local area.
Elaine Miller
I enjoyed this...I went on the two hour cruise...it began at Lake Union went through the Ballard Locks and around to the Pier...
Emily Reedy Parker
This experience was in my top fav. Relaxing, informative and great views. The drinks were a plus, they had both mixed and wine available.
Melody Welsh
Great experience. The staff went out of there way to take care of us.
One issue is they sent me 3 different addresses that were all 10-15 minute walks away from each-other. So that wasn’t supper fun. Fix your google calendar invite to have the right address and add the correct north or south prefix to the road on the email address and I will up this to 5 stars happily.
Tamara gray
Very detailed and informative tour as we cruised the waters. The staff were courteous and food and beverages could be purchased on the ship.
Brandon Garcia
Chose with the CityPass (worth it btw). It was the 1 hour harbor tour and it was my first time on a boat tour. I enjoyed the well informative staff lady that gave us information on the areas, the views during the afternoon were beautiful. It was a nice one hour tour. Highly recommend if you haven’t gone.
Michael Ellingson
I went on the harbor tour as part of the Seattle City Pass and was not dissatisfied in the slightest, great views, a charming tour guide with good information as well as informative personal insight about the city at large. Had a great experience and would be glad to reccomend to anyone
Carrie Clark
I'd say this is one of the best parts of the city pass! Its a beautiful cruise 🛳 fun with the best views of Seattle! …
Ruth Krzyk
Wonderful locks cruise! Our guide was very informative and we learned much about Seattle neighborhoods and Puget Sound. Saw porpoise and sea lions. And moving from the Sound to Lake Union through the lock was ss interesting as it was powerful. And of course the Sleepless in Seattle house!
If you are coming to Seattle, this tour should definitely be at the top of your list for things to do.
Emma Wieliczko
Amazing ride and even better tour guides. Hesper was educational and truly a great guide!
Victor N
The 1-hour cruise was enough for me! Very sunny afternoon, and it was so bright! They take you around the harbor and explain some of the sights you can see, such as the Space Needle, stadiums, shipyard, cranes, and the coast guard with their ice breaker.
If you're willing to pay for it, they serve alcohol, drinks, and snacks.
The cruise itself seems reasonable at $35, but I had the city pass, so I didn't have to pay anything.
The water was mostly calm, with small waves gently rocking the boat for about 2 minutes. I do consistently get seasick on longer deep-sea fishing trips on smaller boats. But I was able to handle this just fine.
Jaiana Blakes
This weekend was my second time in Seattle and my second time on an Argosy ship. I love that from the boat you get a wonderful view of the Seattle skyline. There’s plenty of room on the boat and you can buy drinks and snacks. Being on the upper deck and feeling the wind in my hair and on my face is such a great experience. There’s a lot of interesting facts about the different buildings and areas along the Puget Sound that staff are very knowledgeable about. I absolutely recommend going at least once.
David M.
Had a great day on the water looking at Seattle and the snow cap mountains while visiting during a road trip across the USA in 2019
Charisce Floody
Beautiful narrated tour on the sound! Loved getting to hear the history and seeing the architecture from the water.
Satwik Dutta
What an lovely experience!! Definitely recommended if you are visiting Seattle. Lovely narration & lots of amazing picture opportunity. Amazing view of the city skyline & sea.
Shahid Kamran
Very nice boat tour for Seattle harbour site seeing. It does get cold so keep a hoodie.
Carole Bennett
Wonderful live narrated 1-hour harbor tour! Full bar, great views, awesome staff.
Magdalena Boguchevska
Excellent cruise which shows you the beautifull and poplurar place of Seattle. The guides are excellent. Worth to try and see for all amount of money 🥰 …
Thomas Steele
We had a really fun time. The crew were friendly and entertaining. Captain Alex was competent and safe. He drove the 27 foot wide boat into the 28 foot lock slip without bumping the sides. Lars kept us entertained and informed along the way. The return bus trip was fun. We enjoyed this trip!
B J
Took the one hour harbor tour. Staff is friendly and it was a nice little boat ride.
Corral Webb
My best friend and I went on a the harbor tour on my birthday. It was an amazing way to celebrate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would love to do it again if I ever get to the area again. I felt that the refreshments offered were a little overpriced but we enjoyed them as we were celebrating a birthday and a friendship.
Andrew Scott
An absolutely amazing tour of the locks! The entire crew was helpful from loading on the boat, to the bartender, to the tour guide, and the staff driving the boat. They were very knowledgeable of the area and also very accommodating. I am confined to a wheelchair and I had zero issues with accessibility. We even got to talk with the owner. He went out of his way to point out more interesting sights and answer all of our questions. When you have an owner that cares about his customers as much as Kevin does it trickles down to the entire staff and crew. There are many options to choose from but hands down the best cruise in Seattle is Argosy!
Phil L
Enjoyable way to see the Seattle waterfront. I would have preferred some intermittent silence rather than constant narration but that's just me.
Michelle Cantrell
Loved this cruise. Bought it as part of the city pass (well worth it) very informative. Had a really nice time.
Chet Ragsdale
Great harbor cruise with details about all the highlights that can be seen from the boat. The 1 hr option is the way to go.
Suman Gumudavelly
Cruise tour will be a good place for watching the entire Skyline,Mountains and most importantantly Ship yard, T-Mobile stadium etc.,
You can buy drinks and snacks on the cruise ( slightly higher prices than street side prices).
It was bit windy when we visited, you can enjoy the view from 2 stories, one is closed and one is open top.
Restrooms were Ok/not bad.
Enjoy and have a safe trip.
jyoti Kashyap
It was so much fun. The narration was amazing and it was good to know more about Seattle. Everything was on time and there was plenty space available for everyone to grab a seat. You could move around during the tour and didn’t necessarily have to be at one place. The views were beautiful. 11/10! Will take my. Friends and family on this when they visit :)
Nicholas Pun
Very informative tour along the coast. Great to start off a visit to Seattle!
Dave Whipple
We were lucky to have amazing sunny weather and very little wind for our Argosy harbor cruise, but the cruise itself was amazing. The booking and check-in process was fast and orderly, the staff were professional, and our tour guide, John, was fun and engaging. The cruise took us around the harbor and we got great views/photo opps and a history lesson, too. The ship was spotless, and we had a choice of sitting outside on the upper deck, or on either of the lower decks, where there were plenty of chairs and lots of room to spread out. There was a full bar on board, too. Overall it was a great experience and a really good value. We'll definitely do it again!
Audrey Adamson
We had a wonderful time on our cruise! We did this as part of our CityPass. The guide was lively and very informative. It was a great way to see the city and surroundings from a different perspective. Also, we had a transportation issue and were running late. I called the cruise line literally 10 minutes before our cruise was set to go and they kindly switched us to the next available time. Wonderful customer service!
Darcy Fortney
The crew members were awesome, the cruise around the harbor was nice and the guide information was fun! I would give it a 5 star review but I am in a wheelchair and there was no access to the upper decks of the boat that we were assigned. I would have loved to be outside to get the full experience, and it was a bit hard to hear the commentary at times on the lower deck. BUT the crew members that helped me get on and off the boat were spectacular. Would definitely recommend!
TheTxBuckeye
Easy entry. Plenty of seating. Tour itself was nice enough. It was off season however, and apparently that is when they train less experienced guides. Ours stuttered and fumbled quite a bit. I understand folks have to learn and I accept that as an off season traveler. But it definitely took away from the experience. I can't comment on food or drink as we didn't purchase anything. Overall though I would recommend it.
Eric Santiago
The staff was nice. The crew/host was knowledgeable regarding info on the city. The 1-hour cruise is worth it especially when purchased with the Seattle Citypass package.
julie weisman
This tour was fantastic. Just wanted to be out on the water and see a few sights in a short period of time. 2 hours was just right and we even got to see some water wildlife. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and provided little fun facts which we really enjoyed! Pick up at the pier by pike place and dropped off a few blocks from where we were staying which made it even better. All in all it was totally worth it!
judi Caceros
Oh what fun! My daughter and I had a blast. Did the last cruise of the evening so we could see the sunset. Beautiful day for sunset. The crew was amazing, the tour guide was knowledgeable about the harbor. Would love to do a longer one next time.
Alexis Hernandez
I bought this cruise through the Seattle City Pass, and it definitely was one of our favorite things we got to do on our trip! The tour guide was funny and informative and the ride was smooth! They also had drinks and snacks available on board. We went at sunset and I 100% recommend going at that time for awesome photos!
Tifani Blouin
Great staff, interesting tour, Casey did a great job delivering information. Clean facilities. Prompt.
Christine Manongsong Alvarado
Such an amazing way to showcase the beauty of Seattle! We went to an hour cruise with a very eloquent tour guide. We learned a lot about Seattle and he even mentioned some recommendations. Truly a must-try in Seattle.
Darya Shestakova
Great experience, highly recommended. We've been to a multiple different bay cruises on pacific coast, and this one in Seattle was the most interesting and beautiful so far.
Christine Morneau
I enjoyed the cruise and the tour guide. Unexpectedly loved going through the industrial container ship end of the harbor.
Zuzka Š.
I really enjoyed this cruise. It’s well timed and the commentary was interesting and informative. Clean with choices of food and drinks. Friendly staff.
VS
Very enjoyable one hour cruise with great views and information about a few sea facing landmarks and historical Seattle. Clean, spacious and well maintained ships with live guide on the mic. Just be careful with your popcorn bags as they are bound to spill over and you are increasing work for their staff who will clean up with a pleasant smile.
Ceri Wilde
Great way to spend an hour in Seattle. Wonderful views of the Seattle skyline. Fascinating trip past the cruise terminal, the container port, the dry docks. There is indoor and outdoor seating, clean restrooms and a bar selling both alcohol and hot drinks. The commentary was both interesting and informative. Highly recommended.
Paul
We took the Lake Union cruise. Great view and descriptions of the Seattle waterfront history, the Discovery Park area, Ballard Locks, the Salmon Bay fishing fleet/shipyard industry, the liveaboard style in Lake Union - with a docking at one of the city's Tech Hubs.
Brittny Allard
We enjoyed our experience with Argosy Cruises. We opted for the one hour Harbor Tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared some great information about The Seattle area. The booking process was quick and effortless and the boarding once we arrived was was brief and well organized. It was perfect for familiarizing ourselves with the area and it’s history. I would highly recommend!
Darnell Melvin
It was a great little boat trip. Short and sweet with very educating host. And they had on board snacks and beverages.
Aditya S
Great experience for having sightings and information about Seattle coast and skyline. Lots of food and beverage options on board.
Jessica Castro
We purchased the City Pass (through AAA) which includes 5 attractions and expires within 9 days of your first attraction visit. If we paid for each attraction separately, it would have been way more expensive.
The cruise was a great experience. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are 3 floors, first 2 are indoor. 2nd floor has a bar and snacks! 3rd floor is the top deck (outdoor). They have a tour speaker (I think our cruise guide was Lars, who was very informative, gave recommendations, and answered any questions you had. Definitely recommend.
Angela D. Brooks
I am a Seattle native and learned something. Great narration of both the sites but the economics of the port.
Jacob Straus
My family of four enjoyed the 1 hour long Harbor Tour. Got our tickets through the City Pass, and exchanging them for "regular" tickets on the Argosy website was easy. Once we arrived at the peer, we were checked in quickly and had a short wait to board the boat.
The Harbor Cruise is narrated, so if you want to hear what the tour guide is saying, you probably need to be inside (which has a nice bar and bathrooms). Otherwise, you are free to explore the ship and see the sights. I love seeing cities from the water, so I really enjoyed this, as you see downtown, the cruise piers, the container pier, and other facilities on the water. We really enjoyed it!
Luther Bacon
Loved it! My college used them for a Luncheon Cruise. The food was good, there were 2 bars and a sundeck.
Info 4more
Just cruise around to see downtown skyline and view from water. We loved it.
Ira Fortune
Easy check in, super nice crew, great information given by narrator about the city on ship.
Bobbe Molter
Very nice one hour experience. Friendly check in staff and pre-board announcements. Staff on the boat are friendly and the boat was super clean. We were lucky to have a beautiful clear and sunny 70 degree day. Our tour guide was very informative and narrated during almost the entire cruise.
Teresa Benton
I really enjoyed the harbor cruise that comes with the city pass. It was extremely informative. The restrooms were clean and they had a consession stand. The bottom floor was little muggy. Not as much air as the 2nd or top floor but the bottom floor was peaceful.
T
The tour was so full of great facts and information. With the coastguard requiring masks. People should have to keep them on, or space out everyone 6ft.
Andreia “Andy” Calin
Aside from the breathtaking views, amazing service by the crew on the shore and on the boat. I live in the area and haven’t done Argosy cruises in a very long time. Me and my 18 year old daughter were very pleased with the trip and the service we received on the cruise. Would highly recommend!
Cris Cannestra
We have lived in Seattle for 32 years and had never gone through the Ballard locks...so we thought what the heck, lets try an Argosy Cruise?? It was so much fun! Great crew ( specifically calling out Lars, who narrated local attractions), drinks and snacks available on the boat as well and just an all around fabulous outing. Wish we had done it sooner and also we wish we had taken out of town guests on it too. Next time! Super fun
Karan Bhansali
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Seattle!
We booked the hour long Harbour Cruise and arrived 35 minutes before our booked time slot. Although the boarding process was delayed, it was relatively painless - just waiting in a line on a sunny Seattle day.
Once on the boat (the Salish Explorer), I was impressed by how well maintained and clean the boat was. We decided to camp out on the second floor that had the bar and the front deck (as opposed to the third floor full deck) as it was a relatively sunny day in Seattle. The bar served drinks and food & also had a signature margarita that used Blue Curacao instead of Triple Sec.
The cruise narrator (can't remember her name) on the hour long cruise was awesome - she was super funny in addition to being knowledgeable about Seattle, it's major attractions and it's history.
Knowing what I know now, I would go as far as to recommend the two hour Locks Cruise that covers more stuff than the Harbour Cruise. I'm pretty confident most folks will walk away with a pleasant experience (provided the weather is good).
NOTE: We visited Argosy Cruises on September 24, 2022 on the 01:25PM Cruise - we booked our tickets for the hour long Harbour Cruise through the CityPass and the price was about ~$24/ person ($115 + taxes for 5 attractions).
Renee Corbett
As a first-timer tourist in Seattle, this was the best way to start out our long weekend in this fun city. The tour was really informative in both teaching us about the major landmarks and learning funny/cute stories about those landmarks. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so it is still a good activity when the weather is a bit colder. We loved spotting the salmon!
Stacey Palmer
It was fun and awesome the tour guide was excellent knew his job
ElephantQueen
We did the 1 hour harbor tour. We had a great time. They guide was very helpful and talked about the piers and history of popular places in Seattle. We had a great view of the city and docking areas.
Mariah Hoskins
I had a wonderful time on the Harbor Cruise. The staff was super friendly, and it was a beautiful tour of Elliott Bay.
Lisa Marie
Enjoyable experience!! Booking online for the Harbor Cruise(1 hour in travel time)was very user friendly. The check in process was just as smooth as the actual cruise itself. Our tour guide(Lars) was very knowledgeable and friendly! I recommend an Argosy Cruise for those interested in seeing and learning more about Seattle from a different, literal view(cruise ship). We plan to rebook for the other available tours and very soon. Thank You for a memorable experience!
Marilyn Schiff
So glad we booked this Harbour tour. Our tour hostess was so informative about every aspect of life on the Harbour Past and Present. The views were amazing weather was perfect and could even enjoy an alcoholic beverage while cruising. Definitely recommend booking this tour while visiting Seattle. Great restaurants nearby too.
Lisa Ensman
We enjoyed the Harbor Cruise very much, mainly due to the great commentary. Lots of interesting info and fun stories about what we were seeing. The speed was slow and relaxed, so it was not very windy on the top deck. Very pleasant.
Roger Morgan
Seemed quite expensive for what it was. It was informative to a point and all the staff were really friendly. My main reason for going was to see the Seattle skyline from the water and I got better views from the Bainbridge ferry ($10 or $4.60 for a senior) and also spent some time in the island
Azul Defiler
Perfect 1 Hour tour. If you are a boozer like me, get the 1st to Board ticket- you get a discount and a few more beers in! Tour is super cool. Their check in process however makes no sense. They should just tell you to get a "Boarding Pass" at the office beforehand. Seems like they have several people doing something one person could do.
Lauren Hamilton
This was so fun! We learned a lot from the tour guide and had a great time. We got there 30 minutes before getting on and we would recommend that so you can get the seat that you want. The mixed drinks were also great!
Kimberley Y. David
The narration was excellent, but there’s just too much of it. This was my second time on Argosy (prior cruise was the Locks) and all the talking is quite exhausting for the listener - an hour of rapt attention. That said, a tip jar should be provided for the narrators so that those who feel inclined to tip can do so easily. Thanks!
Nitin Mathur
Best activity to do in Seattle. Loved the guided tour on the cruise and well stocked bar from tea coffee to wine. Will recommend this cruise as ' something you can't miss in Seattle'.
Suggestion - 1/ If there is way to directly book cruise online on Argosy Cruise site. As a visitor while I booked online on a 3rd party site but was worried till boarded.
Frances Tuer
I had an excellent experience with Argosy Cruises. I had made a booking and then needed to change to a later time. I emailed and got a phone call back to Canada and also an email, confirming the change. Checkin and boarding was great. The length of the harbour cruise was just right and the variety of sites - historic, businesses, cruise ship terminals, commercial shipping, made for a really interesting journey. Our narrator was very good even though he was challenged on the day by the Blue Angels performing overhead! Would strongly recommend this cruise and this company.
Cathy Shadle
Our first visit to Seattle and chose the Locks Tour as our first excursion in the city. Beautiful day for a very informative tour. We saw King Salmon jumping, the Blue Heron rookery, great experience going thru the small lock, perfect skyline view of the city. Could not have been more perfect. Thank you for a great tour. Highly recommend to anyone.
Mauricio Guevara
A ton of perfect pictures of Seattle and great deal of information given by the host, worth the tour
Kandace Wheelwright
We did the Locks tour and this was one of my favorite things we did in Seattle. We stared in Lake Union and ended on the Pugent Sound. There were some delays at the locks, so our tour ended 30 minutes late, but the captain spent that time giving us cool info about the process. Pack a jacket or prepare to experience part of the cruise inside, cause the transition from fresh water to saltwater is breezy! We spent the entire time on the bow of the ship, and it was a perfect view.
Asher Arbit
The "Locks Cruise" was very enjoyable. Lars was an excellent guide. It was a pleasant walk of about 40 minutes to walk back to the starting point of the cruise, where we parked our car. We could easily have taken a local bus or rented a scooter or bicycle.
Kathryn Martini
Argosy is a great thing to do with tourists, but we all are from Seattle and still enjoyed it! You can get a pass through City Pass or book a great trip any time on their website. We booked tickets for all our Wedding guests in 2018 and everyone had a blast! The Argosy team is fun and friendly!
Lynda Jo Sheehan
I'm hearing impaired and also have some walking issues. Because there was no notices I did not hear (obviously) your announcement about the disabled coming on first. I did not know that there was an elevator to the second deck. I have some hearing I had to listen to the noise of the speaker going on and on.but I had no idea what they were saying. You had TVs on both floors that could've been used to inform the hearing impaired about the view and what was going on. Sign outside on your ticket booth indicating that a sheet of information for the hearing impaired is available. Giving the hearing impaired whatever information needed for the trip would probably be in your best interest as well as theirs. Lynda
Aleksey Mikhnov
Great tour. Lots of great photos. Learned about the history of ports and landmarks. Full bar, coffee, hot chocolate (tour prices on food). Cannot bring on any drinks (no coffee, soda, etc.) or food (only water) (-1/2 stars). Sandwiches are 2-3 days old (-1/2 stars); at least they were honest.
Guide was knowledgeable and warm.
Overall, highly recommend and had a good experience.
Baylie Olin
We had a great tour of Elliott Bay with Argosy - nice, clean boat with plenty of places to see the surrounding sights and a knowledgeable and pleasant guide, Hannah. We were lucky to have exquisite weather and a view of Mt. Rainier!
Would have been nice to have easier accessibility to and on the boat for older folks.
Johnny Rodriguez
Great 1-hour harbor tour; length of tour was just right. Captain and Presenter were knowledgeable and courteous. Great water view of Seattle, downtown and Space Needle. We booked this event/ride through Seattle's City Pass.
Mike Lofaro
Incredible water tour of Port of Seattle and beyond. Boat was comfortable with all amenities. Tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We actually traveled thru a water “lock”! Would highly recommend! Sounds expensive but we’ll worth it!
Meghan Heims
We had in laws in town over Thanksgiving and one is wheelchair bound. The Argosy crew was SO accommodating. It was her first time ever on a boat and she felt so comfortable and safe. Can not recommend highly enough!
Pat Eaton
We enjoyed seeing the harbor and the piers of Seattle. And I felt that the focus was getting drinks served, instead of getting people situated to enjoy the event.
The audio was not clear and therefore we were unable to understand some of the presentation. The speakers were muffled and not well placed throughout the boat.
The chairs were not condusive to viewing the entire shoreline while the audio was presenting the comments.
Ally hanzelka
This was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! When I had trouble booking on the site the online chat was quick and easy to use. The rep called me and helped me finish my booking quickly. The day of the actual cruise we got delayed by a bridge and needed a later slot. I called and again quick and painless they got me rebooked on a later cruise. The cruise itself was beautiful. The narrator was informative and hilarious. I learned quite a bit as well as I got to see some marine life. Would definitely recommend this cruise for anyone visiting Seattle!
Alan Paquette
A great Seattle attraction to do ! We thoroughly enjoyed the one hour tour through the harbour. Great views, and the commentator was interesting and funny . Went quickly but gives you a very different view and perspective of Seattle . ( This was one of the available attractions as part of the Seattle City Pass)
I would highly recommend this .
Michael Andrews
The Argosy Cruise was amazing and very informative!!! Out your guide had a plethora of informant about Seattle and all the shipping that comes out of there and what the other ships were. Things u never heard before so I walked away feeling very educated. Not to mention, the weather was perfect.. well worth taking!!!
Sabrina Hull
Had a great time on their harbor cruise! We are new to the Seattle area and heard a cruise would be a fun way to get to learn more about Seattle’s history. It was very peaceful, beautiful, and lots of great tidbits about the city.
Jennifer Carlson
This was a great tour. Our tour guide was fantastic and we really enjoyed learning a little of Seattle’s history. It was fun to go through the locks, see some of the house boats that Seattle is famous for, and see the Seattle skyline from the water.
Karen Campbell Wood
We did the locks cruise which was fabulous. The problems started when the return bus wasn’t able to park due to road work so he left, and no one could tell us if he was coming back. When he did come back he took over half an hour to drive us a mile back to our car. When we arrived back so late there was no one to validate our parking so we had to pay $19. I would have given it a 5 star rating if that hadn’t happened. The cruise and crew were wonderful.
Sam
The cruise was by itself already fantastic. What really stood out was the crew's commentary and stories about Seattle and its rich history. Ryan, in particular, had some of the most interesting stories about Lake Union and Puget Sound that he had personally researched, dug up, and compiled into very interesting tales new visitors. There is also an on-board bar with drinks and snacks. It was a fantastic experience overall.
Zaida Pina
It was a great cruise, informative and fun. Ship has many levels so it's not too crowded. really enjoyed the tour and the guide great views and photo opportunities plus a bar on the first level
Andrew Kada
We did the Locks Cruise. It's a lovely water tour and the staff are so friendly. There are drinks and snacks aboard. You probably want to make sure you bring a hat, sunglasses, etc. on a sunny summer day! This is my second tour with Argosy and I'll keep doing them with my visitors cause they're great!
kathyrn Palomino
The locks tour was an excellent and relaxing way to get to know some of the waterfront history of Seattle
Luc Naidoo
We joined this cruise using a CityPass. The guide Mark was very knowledgeable and his delivery was spot on. The boat itself was well maintained and clean. I’d happily recommend this cruise to anyone wanting more information on Seattle and the harbour area.
Elizabeth Connolly
Went on the Christmas cruise. Such a beautiful cruise, the lights, scenery, choir were all beautiful. The boats are very nice, the bathrooms were huge and luxurious. The cruise we went on had soda and hot cocoa. Can't wait to go again!
Cassandra Serre
We loved our harbor cruise! The guide was very informative and taught us a lot about Seattle. I would recommend this excursion to anyone! It’s a great way to see the city.
GG Gallo
I have done this several times and this last time it was amazingly fast check in and boarding and just a pleasure. I really and truly enjoyed this tour as it was so informative and pleasurable. I just wish that is lasted longer, I enjoyed it that much. Many thanks to the crew.
Kim Werner
Great experience! We took the last cruise of the day and experienced a beautiful sunset while on board. Smooth sailing and a wealth of information shared about the sound/harbour and the city.
becky zuckerberg
We have done this cruise several times - twice in 4 weeks. Lars is the best tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed learning new facts from him during our adventure. He is the best guide we have experienced thus far!
AnamariaFerentz Official
Amazing cruise, great views! Super nice and knowledgeable tour guide that explained so good every important building and landmarks. All of our party for 7 had a blast, including the kids. Thank you
Rosanna Trevisan
Great tour. We started from Pier 54 and ended in lake union AGS pier. The tour guide provided lists of information about Seattle, landmarks and history of the area and especially the locks. It is a unique experience. I’m so glad we did the tour.
Mac Murray
Boat was clean. Drinks and snacks were great. Crew was awesome. We saw orcas! Lived here my whole life and never done this. Scheduled this for visiting family and everyone really enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.
Wendy Crouch
The Argosy Locks Cruise should be a must do on your list when you visit Seattle! We had a great time cruising the shoreline, enjoying a cocktail and learning about Seattle's history. Jeremy was our guide and he did a fabulous job! He has so much knowledge about the area and was willing to share it with us.
Kimberly Windsor
I have visited Seattle many times but have never been on one of the harbor cruises. It was a great way to view the city and our knowledgeable hostess was so much fun - I LOVED the 'mom' jokes! Thank you for a great time!
Pete Cafaro
Hesper was an amazing narrator. Highly recommend the harbor tour
Laura T
Lars and Alex were great. The tour was very informative, a good use of the time, affordable and just all around enjoyable. I highly recommend as a way to see the locks and see more of the local part of Seattle
Jonathan Hawkins
Did the 2 hour locks tour. Excellent trip...super sights....Informative and interesting guide/commentary. Fully recommended. Only booked at last moment because a couple of the museums planned were actually closed on Monday.
Natasha B
Nice little boat tour. I was grateful that they were even able to take us on an earlier scheduled ride than our booked tickets. I appreciated that the boat had ample space indoors and outdoors.
Tara Heil
We LOVED this experience! The entire staff was friendly, and professional and Lars was an awesome tour guide. He was knowledgeable and engaging, would absolutely recommend this as a must do in Seattle.
Alicia Marquez
We were looking forward to the Christmas Ship sailing tonight but sadly got iced in and could not make our cruise. I contacted Argosy Cruises and explained our situation and they completely understood and would rather see their customers safe than the mighty dollar. They gave us several options and we are completely satisfied with our outcome! Thank you Argosy Cruises for putting your customers first! Its for reasons like this that we will always come back to Argosy! Merry Christmas!
Wilton DeLoach
Definitely worth the time and cost, learned a lot of history and interesting tidbits about Seattle.
I'm certain there were many points of interest and historical sites viewed from the water we couldn't have seen from anywhere else. It was like a panoramic view!
Charles Bailey (DarkChuck1)
The cruise was a great way to explore Seattle from Puget Bay and the tour guide was amazing! I would recommend getting the city pass which gives you a ticket to not only this cruise but several other attractions in Seattle as well.
Adam Langley
1 hour cruise that is included on the city pass. Must see. They have beer on board for a relaxed cruise around Edward's Bay bordering Puget Sound. Great tour guide as well.
Jackie Carpenter
A lovely 1 hour cruise along the Puget sound with views of the city and through the shipping yards. Very fascinating! Drinks and snacks available on board. FYI refills on your soda and popcorn are a bit cheaper for seconds, so don't throw away your popcorn cup.
Sheril Wynn
The staff and crew were very accommodating. We had a reservation for a later time but were able to change to an earlier sailing without any problem. The cruise guide was very informative.
Bella A
It was fun! They serve drinks even hot cocktail! But wished the trip was a little bit longer
Kailee Laplander
I went on an Argosy Cruise as part of the Seattle City Pass. It was the best way to kick off my time in Seattle. Lars, our guide, did a phenomenal job. I learned so much about Seattle, and loved being out on the water. This is an experience you need to get to know the city at the beginning of your trip.
Foster W. Krupp
I did this cruise through CityPASS. Highly reccomend it for people who want to experience the Seattle Waterfront, but don't want to lose hours of their day. Our guide was incredible and the views on the top deck were spectacular.
J Rhind
It was a great intro and cool info about Seattle. The tour narrator was terrific. Beautiful views.
I just think the value/time for money isn’t quite there. It felt like it’s missing something
courtney Brady
Really great trip around Elliot Bay. We were lucky enough to get a rare sunny winters day and was able to see the beautiful Mount Rainier. Our narrator was fun and easy to listen to, with great insight into the history of the seattle sea front. I'm from Liverpool and learned of a new Beatles fact which doesn't happen very often. Highly recommended.
Maurissa Hopes
Bought the City Pass and it was extremely easy to book our cruise. Staff was great. Extremely cold if you’re outside however they have the inside open to hear and view everything.
May-Lin Robbins
Excellent cruise. Worth every penny. Great narrator Bash. Learned do much about Seattle and Great opportunities to photograph the sites. We loved it. Thank you.
Alejandra Villegas
We got the city pass which I recomend if you like museums and aquariums. It cost us 115 dlls and includes 5 atractions which includes the argosy cruise. The normal price is around $40 we save like 10 dlls becuse we did just 3 atractions. If you do everything you save around 15-20 per attraction. The cruise have breathless views for an hour. The staff is very friendly and the time in there very informative. Take it if you want to take pictures of the City and it’s natural views.
Asif Akhtar
We did the waterfront 1 hour cruise and it was good! Would recommend for a one time thing. Their upgrades seemed a bit pricey else we'd have loved to do the lock cruise version or the island
Mark McGhan
We enjoyed our tour. Everyone was so nice. The only problem I had was that I'm very hard of hearing so I couldn't hear most of the commentary. Maybe some headphones for the hard of hearing would be nice. Thank you for a nice time.
james vertner
Guide was funny..very informative and knowledgeable. Nice sunset.
Michele Barlow
I purchased first board tickets and then purchased drinks at the bar. I wish they would have told us they take orders up top while in our seats. By time we went to get seats the other borders were already seated. Still enjoyed the trip though.
Anna McNamer
2 kids 2 adults and an early departure was perfect. Kiki was a fantastic tour guide and the boat offered lots of options for sight seeing. We took the Harbor cruise and it has just poured rain. We spent about half of our time on the top, open deck, but we moved around regularly. When we got cold, we moved to the bottom deck. Since there was only one other couple, our kids had some room to spread out while we listened to the tour. We weren’t planning to do this originally, but the CityPass guided us to this option. The CityPass was a fantastic choice for us first timers.
The next group looked HUGE! So, make sure you go early! Thanks for a great trip!
Terri
Beautiful afternoon on the water! The crew was very knowledgeable and informative. It was high tide, so not a dramatic change in the lock, but still a great trip and well worth it!
Adrienne Burt
Staff was great very educational . We wento the locks location in error and has to take a bus to the pier. Glad we made it in time . We asked to pay the extra for the lock since we were already there and the ma. Said yes for 100$ we showed him our harbor ticket and thought that it should have just been the difference between the two . And we told him we had a Citybpaas … experience was kind of a turnoff .
Jackie Dugan
This was very cool. The staff were all super nice and knowledgeable. The tour was very informative. Bring a jacket as it does get cold. And my suggestion is that you go to the 5:25pm cruise if you go during the summer months. The light is really beautiful. You'll get some good pictures.
Michael Hoe
Very informative tour! Found out loads about both the Seattle waterfront and it's industry from the guide who was engaging throughout! The onboard bar has introduced me to my new favourite drink: Captain'S Spiced Cider (rum and cider oh my!)
(I bought tickets through CityPass, very recommend doing so!)
Alicia Thompson
Had such a wonderful time on the 1 hour Elliot Bay tour that we booked the 2 hour locks cruise the next day. Great captains and tour guides. Really enjoyed the open air of the boat. It was a little stressful to get seats but just plan to be there super early to get in line if that is really important to you. We will definitely go again and highly recommend!
gidget L
Loved it John our guide was grea. Fun relaxing trip of the harbor
Anjela Maria Litle
Fun way to ride the waters around the outer shirts of Seattle. The guide onboard was very helpful with pointing out the homes that movies were filmed in, etc. The view of the city was amazing!
Beverly Swaile
Our tour guide was fantastic for the sunset cruise. I learned so much about Seattle that I never would have known otherwise. It was a great treat for my 1st visit. The weather was nice and the opportunity was there so they captain took us by cargo ships which were unloading. We were treated to a wave from one of the operators. I can't recommend this cruise highly enough. Definitely go for the sunset. Less crowded and and beautiful view as evening hits and the lights of the city come on.
Angel B
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The crew was very accommodating, helpful, and insightful. I would recommend this cruise for anyone that wishes to explore Seattle.
Bruce Y
This was a wonderful trip. The guy who gave us the tour and explained almost everything about Seattle's shoreline was knowledgeable and humorous. And of course you can have a really good experience of enjoying the view of shore. If you come to Seattle just don't miss it.
Shoshana Farland
Ryan was a great tour guide in letting us know the history about Seattle. It was a very enjoyable cruise especially with the cold wet weather.
Donna King
A relaxed, cheerful experience. Our guide Janelle was entertaining and knowledgeable. Her commentary was funny and quirky. I’d definitely recommend.
Cheryl Haga
Great Harbor Bay Tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting and fun information. The boat left and returned on time as well.
Troy Bausher
We did the 1 hour cruise on Puget Sound. Very informative about the history of Seattle. This is a very different view of Seattle (from the Puget sound) looking into the city. There are 3 different cruises to choose from. The City Pass includes the 1 hour tour, or you can pay the difference to upgrade your cruise. We were lucky enough to be able to see Mount Rainier in November, the guide said you usually don’t see it after the summer months.
Janelle George-Luck
We took the 1 hour harbor cruise and it was highly informational and we got to see lots of cool stuff! The staff was all extremely nice and friendly!
Guilherme Barrese
During this 1-hour narrated cruise, you’ll see all of the beauty and history Seattle has to offer. From the skyline to the shipping port, there’s a view everyone will enjoy.
Experience includes:
Front row seats to the Alaskan Way Viaduct demolition
Panoramic and up-close views of Seattle, the shipping port and Puget Sound
Full-service bar on board with cocktails, local wine and beer, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
NEW! Save $10 when you pre-purchase one printed boarding photo at checkout.
Leslie Uriss Spehar
We took the one-hour harbor cruise that departs from Pier 55 on the Waterfront. The cruise was very informative and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. She shared info about the history of Seattle, the architecture, the shipping vessels in the harbor, the history of Seattle and how it continues to evolve, and facts about the islands and areas surrounding the city. It was a partly sunny day in late April when we took the cruise and the weather was warm enough to sit on the top outdoor deck of the three-deck boat, though a bit windy at times. The view up there was spectacular. I highly recommend this short cruise.
Christopher Thompson
We were lucky enough to have the most amazing weather on our cruise, but even on a cloudy drizzly day the tour would be more than worth your time and money. The views of Seattle are amazing and our tour guide was entertaining.
William Mobley
Really friendly staff! Our guide was hilarious and very informative about Seattle's history and culture! We took the afternoon cruise which didn't come with a meal, but they have a bar, where you can order drinks and snacks. Some of the boat themed drinks were really good. Not too expensive either. There was plenty of seating above and below deck, so don't worry about weather. Also, there were a lot of very clean and well stocked bathrooms on board. We bought the Seattle City Pass that included the cruise. I would highly recommend looking into getting it, if you're visiting Seattle. Good luck!
Jacob Luna
The 1 hour cruise I went on was a great time and the view of the city was amazing. There was a woman giving the tour and explaining the deep history of Seattle's shoreline, it was very well done and I'm thankful I got to experience this. Thank you Argosy for giving me the opportunity.
Joshua Swayne
Great experience!! The tour guide was knowledge and entertaining. Boat was clean and you are able to move around the boat to see and take pictures from different place.
Major Hayden
I highly recommend this tour. The boat ride is fun and quite gentle, so if you're worried about motion sickness, you should be fine.
The food and the show were great. Our kids were glued to the show and wanted to learn more about the dancers and their masks afterwards. All of the food was amazing and we went back for seconds.
The cruise director took a ton of time to explain everything, tell stories, and answer questions.
Lisa Emmerich
Thoroughly enjoyable cruise. Staff was super friendly and informative. Not too crowded and the weather was fantastic! It was included on the City Pass, but I think worth the money even if we had paid full price!
Jay Miller
The cruise was fun and insightful. We had a knowledgeable tour guide and I was impressed with how fast they loaded and unloaded the boats. My wish would be to see a little more, but as it says, this is a harbor cruise... emphasis on harbor... and only the harbor.
Jacob Moran
This cruise is A great experience and the tour guide on board was hilarious with tons of puns which was awesome! She was very informative and gives you a lot of amazing facts that you wouldn't have known if you didn't take this cruise. The sights of Seattle while on the water is amazing while you can sip on a beer
Pushkar Pahare
Easiest way to get to know the city from completely different angle. I would recommend anyone visiting Seattle to start your vacation with this. One hour ride is informative and can help you enumerate things that you must visit. All the while getting a look the skyline of this marvelous Seattle.
Skip the photograph line (if you wish). It can get windy even in summer so carry a jacket.
Anthony DeSimone
Took the 1 hour cruise around Puget sound. Saw sea lions on a barge. Osprey hawks and amazing views of the city. Next time we will do the city lights. Great snacks and beer selection on board.
Silver Snowflake
Jay, our fantastic narrator talked pretty much non-stop the entire cruise. If you want to know a ton of information about the Coastline, City, Bay, and Sound, take a cruise! Took the 1 hour cruise and loved it. Great opportunity for pictures and a way to see the skyline without being on your feet. Even though it was a cold day in December, on the 2nd floor of the boat it was warm and enclosed with plenty of seating and a concession area. This was the 2nd time I've taken this cruise and I enjoyed it very much. If you have an hour to spare when you visit Seattle, take a cruise and enjoy these amazing views from the water!
Mr Robberts (robb86)
This was one of the included tickets worth the CityPass we purchased, which is well worth the price. I suggest going and reserving a ticket in advance, the cruises filled up quite quickly. Facility and vessel was nice and clean, staff was very friendly. Refreshments on the boat were tasty and reasonably priced. Now the best part; there is no bad seat! Dont rush to grab seats, move around and take it all in. Such a beautiful way to see Seattle.
Edwin Planas
Great experience, they offer 3 tours to choose. The one on the bay let you to have a different view of the many buildings on the city, docks and parks with a good dose of the history of the city from the narration. They also answer any questions. Confortable seats inside.
Also offer drinks and food.
Sebrina Thompson (SerinaSayu)
Great cruise, speaker was an appropriate amount of cheerfull. I was a group of three and got on late so we weren't able to get a seat up top because people kept sitting every other and placing their bags in-between not letting others sit. But over all glad I went.
Traci Crum
Tour guides and staff were incredibly fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly suggest a sunset tour. Amazing views, relaxing, and easily my favorite part of visiting Seattle thus far.
Brianna Luttrell
We did an hour cruise around the city on a Saturday. I was afraid it was going to be overpacked, but it was surprisingly spacious. We enjoyed our host, Shannon, who talked about the history of Seattle. It was absolutely beautiful being out on the waterfront and taking in the city.
Max
This is a great boat tour with a complete view of the harbor. Our guide was a local and grew up in Seattle so he was very knowledgeable and made it a great experience for us! I would recommend doing this tour if you are in Seattle!! Also, buy the city pass as you will get a great package deal that comes with this tour!
Kozue Aochi Kato
The cruise was on a perfect, calm day with the sun shining brightly above us. The speaker on the cruise was so great that I retained some information!
I highly recommend this cruise.
Ginger Helton
So GREAT! crew and service aboard was so nice and professional . Lots of help for wheelchairs and passengers with special needs. The salmon dinner is buffet style and delicious. Do the early cruise and parking is no problem
Daniel Peters
Really enjoyed our cruise. Was a nice break to all of the walking, giving us plenty of time to see the sights and talk through ideas of what else we could do.
Caroline Yeo
This harbor cruise was very relaxing and informative. It gave us a breath taking view of the harbor coastline and all it has to offer from entertainment and shipping industry.
Nitish Gupta
Excellent, comfortable cruise. Seattle history explained very nicely. The scenic beauty was top class. Really enjoyed the trip.
Mireya Parrilla
Had so much fun on this little cruise. Our tour guide was so funny and gave out some really cool Seattle info.
Ganesh Kumar
Took this ride as a part of the city pass. It was definitely worth it. They take you take you to areas which are generally not accessible and you get to see Seattle skyline from different angles. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything with clarity. It was quite windy and cold when we took this but recommend to keep a jacket or sweater. Pay attention to the huge cargo ships around Elliott bay.
Carlos Quezada
Take some time to relax from the busy walking city life and enjoy a boat tour around the bay. They have excellent staff and well informed. You will learn some history on this trip for sure.
Rahul Sharma
If you like short cruises and would like to explore and know more about seattle, Argosy cruises are a way to go!
We did around 2 hour tour of puget sound and it was pretty good. We were in Goodtime II cruise, sail was smooth! It was clean but not super grand.
They start sharp on time from pier 55, food and drinks provided onboard were good.
Parking is right across the street, during busy days it’s little tricky to find a spot.
Bryan Roberts
The cruise was fantastic. Our tour guide did a fantastic job sharing his knowledge of Seattle
Vanessa
Elliott Bay harbor cruise is apart of the Citypass. Beautiful day for a boat ride. Eddie the tour guide was awesome. Make sure you get in line early because the top deck fills up fast and that is where the tour guide stands on a sunny day. On the top deck make sure to sit on the right hand side or the side closest to the city view. You will most of the talked about views from there. The boat does have a full bar and offers snacks. The tour takes about an hour.
Chelse Thatsme
Went right in the middle of the day. Wasn't too crowded. The tour guide was funny and entertaining. You don't have to stay in a seat you can wonder about! My daughter had never been on a boat before so she was nervous but quickly felt at ease and had fun! Worth trying at least once.
Aaron Ellis
A little heavy on the advertising, but I guess that's what brought us here. We did a sunset tour which was pretty incredible, and a beautiful day for it. When we got out there we also saw some sea lions.
This is a great way to see the sound and learn a little about Seattle.
Kyle Christian Wolff
Highly recommended this tour if you are planning a visit to Seattle. It was very foggy and rainy on our trip but we were still able to see a lot. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable about the history of Seattle and we definitely learned a lot. Please get the Seattle City Pass, as this is included in the bundle. The tour only cost us about $20 with the City Pass. Tour is 1 hour long.
Nidal Hamzey
Boat itself isn't anything to write home about, but the Harbor tour was fun. It's a solid hour got to see plenty. Informative tour guide who told kept it energetic, light hearted, and fun (Shaheen?). Definitely recommend if your visiting from out of town.
Paige Hall
Wow! This tour is included in the citypass. It is a one hour tour that takes you all around Elliott bay. You see some sights of the city that most tourists never make it to. The stories along with the trip lead to an entertaining boat experience.
Photo opportunities are spectacular. I highly recommend going just to see some different views of the city.
N Z
We arrived at the ticket booth five mins before the ferry was about to leave for its one hour tour. Needless to say all the good spots were taken but we still end up finding a good spot to sit and enjoy our tour. The tour guide and staff was friendly. Tour was worth the price but only a one time thing.
Jacob Thomas
Argosy Cruises are a great way to see Seattle by Waterfront. The tour last about 1 hour and it takes you around the waterfront of Seattle. You have a narrator who provides you with so much information about the history of the area. The industries that use the Elliot Bay, not to mention current projects that are happening. The boat ride is very smooth and you are able to get some snacks, beer, wine, and cocktails. You can take your family on this cruise and you'll have a great time.
Jake Meador
This was a great company to cruise with! They did offer a decent military discount. Probably the best economical choice is to go with the CityPass book to see more than just the cruise.
The crew was great and our tour guide, despite her first time narrating, did a great job. The bar supplied pretty good mixed drinks, stout prices but it's a little expected.
My girlfriend and I both get seasickness pretty easily but with the short trip. We barely experienced any nausea.
Noe Recendez
This was a great experience for the whole family. The narrator provides a lot of history and facts about Seattle. The boat has an upper deck and below deck if you get cold. Drinks are also sold. If you get motion sickness, you may want to consider sea bands or Dramamine before boarding. I recommend purchasing this ride with the Seattle city pass, which also includes other adventures, including the space needle.
Kristy L. Jennings
Great views of the city and delightful commentary on the buildings we passed. Happy about the bar on the second level but you need to arrive early if you want a good seat!!!
Dwight Amstutz
First time I've done a harbor cruise. This was the 1 hour tour via the City Pass. The guide was great and I learned a lot about the city from this viewpoint. We were on the 3rd level of the boat. When we sat down, we were on the port side, now I know in the future to sit on the starboard side. You are able to see the views a little better without obstructions in the area we were located. We did relocate of course. I would recommend this short tour. Depending on time of day, a light jacket may be handy.
Becca Knoblock
We had the BEST time on the Argosy Cruise.
I Definitely would recommend booking a cruise when you are in the area
Danielle O'Neill
The Argosy cruise was our favorite attraction that we did while we were in Seattle for 3 days - even better that it was included in our City Pass. The drinks were delicious and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a lot of information and my husband and I had a really great time.
Nicholas Souza
One of the best harbor cruises I’ve taken. The guides are knowledgeable and share a lot of interesting information about Seattle and the surrounding areas. Would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the city.
Yaisa López
It is a great tour IF you do not know a lot of Seattle. If you do, you will be bored so just go outside and take pictures!
Kelsie Atiyeh
We took the 1 hour cruise around the harbor. The cruise itself was great - we saw the shipping canal, the mountains, and then the skyline. Our tour guide, Eddy, was awesome! Would totally recommend.
Susan Brown
This was part of the City Pass and I am so glad it was. My husband loves boats, so even thought it was January we sat outside and watched the city go by. Great history and narration.
Matt Clay
The locks cruise is fantastic and a must for visitors. Two hour journey takes you through the sound and the locks, from salt water to fresh water. You just might see salmon on the salmon ladder as you go through the locks. Its a scenic cruise the entire trip, ending on lake union. They bus you back or you can stay up in the lake union area. If you do, go to Dukes for the chowder! Right on the lake in front of the marriott residence inn. Take sunglasses and a light jacket...both will be on and off. Get in line at least 20 minutes before board time for best seats.
Linda Pomeroy
It's a short ride out away from the city to Blake Is & Tillicum Village. Clams in spicy broth slurped outside, beautiful Native American art, traditional salmon cooking, buffet meal which seemed influenced by their culture/life perhaps & show with stories & dances. Boat was pretty crowded, hard to find a seat for all 3 of us. Liked all the info the narrator gave us, although I couldn't hear a lot of it as I was outside much of the time.
Jennifer Schilke
We purchased the city pass which came with a harbor tour. I highly recommend this experience. The sites were great and our guide was able to point out the city landmarks and provide context to what we were seeing.
Ashleigh Art
The cruise was really interesting and a good amount of time. The boat was nice and spacious. It was interesting to hear about the history of Seattle and about the different buildings and other things along the waterfront and in view of the cruise. The views were really pretty.
Katherine Robison
This was SUCH a cool experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and we got a very close look at the sea life in the harbor, as well as the shipping workers operating large equipment. Great cocktails offered as well.
Jackie Ivy
This is an interesting and brief tour to take. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the history of the harbor and very interactive and engaging. The tour lasted an hour, which went by quickly. Lots of sights to see during the hour. You can even get a nice picture of the space needle.
The boat had outdated décor and the seating was not how I expected it. Banquet chairs lined up in a row lecture style. My cruise was pretty packed, so lots of people had to stand the entire time and often stumbled when we hit waves. Overall it was a great experience that can be enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.
Liz Rhodes
Very cool trip with plenty of amazing views. I don't typically do these "touristy" things but I'm glad I did this(1 hour cruise). Learn a lot about the city and the going-ons around the waterfront from a knowledgeable narrator. As he states, it's not a plane, so def make sure to walk around and take in your surroundings. 10/10 recommend doing at least once, worth the money and your time.
Gregory Mathez
Nice views. The guide knows Seattle and is very nice. It's a things to do if you are in Seattle.
Robert Meier
Was very worth the money with the city pass- tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable. Not too long and was good even in the Seattle rain- probably even better in the sun.
Emily Michael
I wasn't sure what to expect, but this cruise was the highlight of my family's visit to Seattle. The 1 hour harbor tour was thorough and interesting, involving facts about many of Seattle's prominent buildings and piers as well as the boats we saw sailing all around us. Our guide, JEREMY, was absolutely fantastic. He was very charismatic and friendly, and also he knew so much about what he was talking about! Not only did he have what I assume was a pre-written tour script about the unchanging things like the buildings and Seattle's history, but also he seemed to know everything there was to know about any given boat that drove by us and lots of other information that was very situation specific. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. Highly recommend the cruise, and I'll be bringing my others on it whenever I have more friends or family visiting.
Rebecca Bowers
We are locals and do the one hour cruise at least once a year! It is a great wat to see the city from the water! In 2019, we did the Locks Cruise twice. What a wonderful, informative way to see Seattle. 😁 …
Rodney Brannon
Great trip!! My 1st time to Seattle and the cruise made it memorable!!
Colleen Harvey
A wonderful cruise for the whole family! Great service! I would definitely go on again!
Celene Gilliland
The staff was super friendly and the boat tour was fun! Really awesome views of the skyline, just don't go when it's raining!
ninjatears
They had a live speaker which was nice compared to the auto recording on others, the lack of seating was surprising though for how large the vessel is. We say in the floor when it was too cold outside after awhile.
Brenna Rhiness
This was the easiest thing I booked. I did this with through the City Pass and I just had to give my name for the reservation. We gained entry in an orderly fashion and it was easy to find a place to sit and enjoy the view. Our narrator (Bash) was super kind and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The views were amazing and drinks/snacks were available for purchase. Nothing better than enjoying a beer on the water.
Kate S
I did the harbour cruise as part of my Seattle city pass. Nice way to spend an hour. Good commentary. I sat on the upper deck.
Carlos Lausso
We took the cruise on our last day three day visit to Seattle. We were blessed with a shiny, no rainy day, which is not very usual there. We (family of 5) all went straight to the upper uncovered deck to enjoy the view although it was below 60 degrees at 11 am. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable, fun and original. We described the views with facts and humor that we all (adults and kids) enjoyed. The cruise was pristine! They had a bar with snacks and spirits (didn't use it) on the lower enclosed and heated deck with tables and chairs and big windows. Thie one hour boat trip was perhaps the second attraction I enjoyed the most after the Space Needle. Recommended!
B Winkler
A tourist thing to do, but great views of the city from the bay plus the narrator on the ship told lots of interesting facts about the city.
Made Made
I purchased the city pass Seattle and upgraded to two hour cruise instead the one hour the pass offered with the pass for $20 dollars I had to show I was vaccinated to enter the tour cruise was nice experience for the price they had few snacks for purchase and few alcoholic beverages it was beautiful perfect day it was man giving interesting facts about Seattle as we cruised along it was peaceful my only complaint was that the boat was bit outdated and could use some upkeep
Carl Calderon
Great experience with Argosy Cruises. The booking process was easy, getting on the ship was simple and the commentary from the onboard guide was enlightening. Definitely a 5 star worthy experience!
Jack Sung
Fun hour. Weather was great. Staff was great and knowledgeable. If weather permits sit on the top level outside on the right side. Great for all ages.
Anne Stiles
The captain and the announcer for the cruise was awesome. Very informative ride. I recommend!
Connie L
Great tour guide, comfortable ride. It was a perfect day for this cruise.
Rob Henry
Great one hour tour of Seattle waterfront. Nice vessel and a very nice and knowledgeable tour guide imparted interesting and fun information about the Seattle area and it's history. Well worth the price.
Bulmaro Herrera
The pier was easy to find and there was plenty of cheap parking. The captain welcomed us at the entrance to the marina and the check-in process took 10 seconds.
We started on time, with decent weather. There were planes landing and taking off from the lake, which were very cool to watch.
The guided tour through the lake and the canal was very informative and fun. Kudos. Then we got into the locks and the lowering of the ship was exciting!
On the way out we saw sea lions basking in the sun.
The section on the sound and Elliot bay was chilly... I learned that the temperature of water in the lake is close to 70, but salt water is 55. It got cloudy and we were glad to have brought a jacket. It rained a bit.
The approach to the waterfront provided outstanding opportunity for photos. We finished at right the 2 hour mark.
The crew was super friendly and informative.
I'll definitely will bring my visiting family and friends to this tour.
Curtis Vandermolen
I'm not usually wild about basic runabout tours, but this was very well done. The Salish vessel runs up and down the bay, with staff narrating landmarks. As a first trip when coming to Seattle it can really help you get your bearings. The trip also covers grain shipments overseas and a quick runabout the docks to see the container ships loading and unloading.
Tariq Khan
Excellent cruise with great service and very knowledgeable staff... whether you are an urban history buff like me or a Grey's Anatomy fan, you'll find this harbor cruise to have great value
Diana Joan Nazziwa
Amazing 3.5 ride
Amazing views of Seattle
Sunset was amazing AF!
TREAT YOURSELF!

This being my first visit to downtown area of Seattle, and the waterfront. I was happy to see what all the talk was about. And my friend paid my way to take this companies Seattle Waterfront tour. It was a real eye opener for me. And to me, seeing those huge container ships, up close, from the water route was great.
And I'd welcome anyone thinking of taking The Argosy Cruises, they are the best tour line going forward!!

Booked through City Pass and I’m glad I did. The boat was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Good little excursion in Seattle.
Marie Giasson
We had a party of 9 which included 1 person in a wheelchair. The crew and captain came and helped load her and let us all board first. The cruise was amazing and very informative. Half of our group is from Texas and the view's from the boat were outstanding. The other half are locals and they were impressed as well. We would definitely recommend.
Cesar Jara
I took a 1 hour tour ride of Seattle Downtown Bay. The whole view is amazing and I took many great pictures.
Amy Watts Follow Your Bliss- Realtor, Mom, & Artist
Tours are AWESOME! I just moved here & appreciated learning the history & fun quirks of the area! Did YOU know the Edgewater hotel was primarily marketed to people wanting to fish from their windows? BEATLES put them on the map!! Cool. Nick was great!!! Make sure he's your guide & do CITY PASS if you're planning to hit a couple attractions. Worth it!!
Piper Batista
Wonderful cruise! The guide was very informative. We had a beautiful day - got to see Mount Rainier and Baker Mountain. Many amazing sites, including sea lions. Easy return on double decker bus
Ellen Eklund
I had a great time! Our guide, Bash, was fantastic. He even made the cranes and containers sound interesting. I definitely am so glad we decided to take the harbor tour and highly recommend it!!! Great job everyone.
Sanjay Patel
Good staff. Pleasant ride. Took the harbor tour. About 1 hour. Seating outdoor on top or below indoors with full windows. Has snack bar with drinks too
Cathy T
Really enjoyed the locks cruise. Had a great narrator (believe his name is Josh.) Sound system very clear. Weather was great. Brought my friend from high school on the east coast. Knew she would enjoy an overview of Seattle
Sunny Sangha
Awesome views, great staff, decently priced. Definitely get the city pass.
Elizabeth Hernandez
We have lived in Seattle for 8 years and this was our first time. We took our granddaughter (age 6) and she had a blast, and so did we. Even on a rainy day it was a great outing, we loved going on the 'boat elevator'! Jeremy was our tour guide/deck hand and shared so much great information!! Hands off to the whole crew. The boat was very clean and well maintained!
We are ready for our next Argosy Cruise!!

We really enjoyed our hour aboard the boat. Very informative tour guide with just the right amount of jokes and puns! The kids were able to stand at the side of the top deck and look for sealife. Went with our Citypass and so glad we did! A must do for anyone who likes being on the water and enjoys hearing fun facts about seattle! The best view is on the top deck which is not covered so bring a hat and sunscreen!

A nice cruise that lasted about 90 mins.. It was apart of the Seattle pass.. you have to book a time slot before going..

Great boat tour guide was good it was frozen & she was without any jacket.

If you're a tourist visiting Seattle or if you're new to Seattle, get tickets to the bay ride. They take you along the bay, explaining fun facts about the city and piers. The city skyline is beautiful from the bay waters and the crew are extremely friendly and funny. Had a great time. Must try if you're around.
AE Dunn
AJ did a fantastic job! The 1 hour harbor tour was very interesting and I learned a lot. Beautiful views too. Make sure to sit on the right side of the boat.
Bird Fleck
The tour is fun! You can get some beautiful pictures from the boat!
Debbie Low
The cruise was excellent. It was a beautiful way of seeing Seattle’s coast. My husband and I share flash backs of us at our younger days doing this type of job in Hawaii. And Max did an excellent job of narrating our tour as well. The captain also very polite and friendly too. And the reservationist who helped me on the phone as well. So good job to Agrosy Cruise for a great trip for us.

With a few days in Seattle - we took the Locks tour. It was beautiful to see the Lake, Ocean and Lock system. Views of the Seattle shoreline were amazing. Highly recommend it. All employees of Argosy were super friendly and very knowledgeable.
Kaitlyn Davis
The crew was amazing! And the tour was informative and fun! The agency recommends getting there 15in early, but I would shoot for at least 30 min if you want to get a seat up top.
Robert Haase
Really informative tour about Seattle and the surrounding mountain ranges and history. Gave good ideas for things to see in the city too
Hakeem Rahman
Did the 2-hr Locks Cruise with family visiting from out of town and it was great. The tour guide does a great job of providing interesting and fun facts about the various neighborhoods and landmarks you pass along the cruise.
Oscar
These guys know their business, amazing tour, great service, the crew was fantastic, the narrator was so good that I thought it was a recording, until he started to point to certain things happening around, thumbs up for these guys, amazing experience.
Jordan Richardson
Great relaxing cruise. Learned a lot about Seattle and the surrounding area. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Sam Morales
We were fortunate that we visited on a sunny day. The tour was included in the city pass book. We highly recommend purchasing one for your trip.
The tour guide was very informative and offered historical, cultural and pop culture stories. We won't steal their thunder but we recommend sitting close to a speaker so you can hear the guide.
They have a bar on the boat, drink price was an average of $10 (alcoholic). It is a family friendly trip and offers the closest unobstructed view of the Space Needle.
The only issue we had was it was hard to hear the guide if we were not close to a speaker so we chose to move inside after we passed the Space Needle.
Molly Zembko
Took the one hour harbor cruise- so glad we did. A great experience all around.
Ronald Degges
The cruise was just exceptional. The captain and staff were right on top of everything. They were pleasant to talk with. It was a beautiful Seattle day and was the perfect venue to celebrate an old time friend's 80th birthday. We flew to Seattle from Indianapolis to make this cruise and celebrate this birthday. Thanks for making everything extra special.
Jackie Simmons
What a nice jaunt around the bay, i was impressed with the tour guide Eddie, smart, funny and knew his history all in a nice relaxing 1 hour trip, and the bar is really nice, so hop aboard and relax and enjoy the ride
Dena McMullen
We really enjoyed the harbor tour despite the smoke from surrounding forest fires. There were nice views and our tour guide, Shannon, was very informative and funny.
Tip: Go to the first tour of the day to avoid the crowds. We were able to sit anywhere we wanted on the top deck, and anywhere we wanted on the lower deck (our little one got chilled).
Another tip: bring a sweater or blanket. It got chilly on our morning cruise and it’s mid-August.

We did the Locks Cruise on board one of the many Argosy Cruise boats. Such a fun day!!! Started at Pier 54 downtown Seattle and finished in Lake Union after transiting the Locks. Tour was about 2 hours, drinks and alcohol available for purchase. But, the best part was the narrated Tour Guide, Lars! Incredible!!!! Knowledgeable, funny and available for any questions. Can’t say enough about Argosy Cruises. We will be back!!!
Timothy O
Fabulous cruise, captain, crew island, food, staff, Native American heritage performers and educational displays. The arts, crafts, etcetera were spectacular as well.
Fabulous, Spectacular, has been on my To-Do List a long while and looking forward to bringing our grandkids next visit. 😎
Krissy H
Neat little narrated harbour tour. There are different options available but we just did a one hour tour. Open bar with snack options available were nice.

I give it five stars, service is good, bartenders were awesome. Views were amazing. One problem I had, I can't figure out how to validate my vouchers for the observatory it was included in my combo. If you guys can get back to me or somebody can give me some advice I'd appreciate it.
Peggy Reiber
Had a wonderful time on the cruise with my teenage grandson and 7 year old grandaughter. They both enjoyed the experience! It was well organized and timed and the bus was waiting when we arrived to return us to the waterfront.
Abhijeet Limaye
I did 90 minutes tour which is part of Seattle City Pass....Good way to know about history of Seattle water front and get close look to Seattle harbour operations
Shaun Schweizerhof (Shaunson)
LOVED this cruise! We (me + wife + grandparents) took the 1 hour tour on a beautiful day. The tour guide made it fun and information was very cool!
My wife and I will be taking visitors on this cruise (weather permitting) as part of our "Visiting Seattle Tour" for our family and friends.
Thank you Argosy Cruises! :)
Johnathan Williams
Offers a number of cruises about the Seattle area. They're a good bet if you're on the waterfront.
Alice C
Loved it! Joined with my City Pass and it was worth the hour. You get a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline esp if the weather is good, and the tour was very interesting and informative. Nice food options on board though I didn't get anything. Only thing is you can't bring any food yourself on board
Devika Locke
Went on this cruise as a part of the city pass, and in the price of the city pass, the cost was reasonable. We had to reserve a spot before hand, which was a bit irritating but easy to do. The cruise itself was nice, lots of seating on the top deck, restrooms and snacks. The duration of the harbor cruise was one hour, a perfect time. The pace was nice and show with good information and wonderful photo opportunity. The water was smooth and I didn't feel sea sick for the most part. Would definitely recommend.

Lots of fun. Very informative and friendly staff. Also very accommodating to anyone who has any type of mobility issues.
I highly recommend going on one of their cruises!
Kailee Reamy
Absolutely beautiful ferry ride. What made this even better is the phenomenal staff. Had a great time and we will visit again! If you’re considering this ferry ride I strongly recommend you take it!
Kristin Milashoski
Nice cocktails, informative speakers sharing about Seattle. 1 hour was a perfect amount of time. We had 2 -15 year olds with us and they found it interesting too!
Tom Weiland
I live here and have not been interested. Family visited and decided to give it a try. I was surprised at how much fun this was. We took the locks cruise that left Lake Union. I highly recommend this as an adventure for out of town guests.
Chris Metka
Excellent quick trip around the Seattle waterfront! The tour is narrated and you learn a lot of cool stuff about the city. Very nice boat with excellent views and a bar. All the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.
De spiegeleer Michel
Really great . One hour in the harbor was perfect . Excellent explanation of the city and harbor history. Really worth the time . We were super lucky with the weather on Black Friday 👍 …
Krista Rhea
It was a warm day (88-92) and it was VERY hot onboard, inside. There were no fans, and the only food/drink area was upstairs - not ADA friendly. They mentioned someone would be taking orders on an iPad but we waited for a half hour before giving up on that. We took an hour long cruise and didn’t get a drink until 40 minutes in. I have a foot injury and climbing the stairs was not good for me. Also the narrator was obnoxious - would be great if some areas were quiet, not everyone wants to hear the cheesy jokes.
Susan Schuh
Highly recommended! Great chance to see the sights and get a sense of Seattle!
Christopher Mullaney
Great tour of the waterfront and the MC was great as well...had some very cheesey jokes but they were entertaining...the Captn. was a great operator and kept the tour smooth, no sea sickness...

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the argosy cruise. The weather was ok , it was really cold and windy that day but we still enjoy our self. Next tour will be the tullicum excursion in summer can't wait.
Prachur Bhargava
Its nice to take one on a sunny day in Seattle. The views to the Seattle Skyline are great and Mt. Rainier visible on a clear day. That said, Mt. Rainier is better photographed from other places. The bar selection is decent and has 3 decks. The narrator was really boring and could not grasp attention with his tour description most of the time.
raoul cervantes
The tour is pleasant and is nice to see a different vantage point of tge Seattle skyline. The tour guide was well spoke b but lacked research in the information he was providing. He was a bit questionable in the information or sounded like made up.
Peggy Kimberling
Had a wonderful day on the locks tour. Started at pier 54 an ended at Lake Union. I don’t remember names but the Captain, tour guide and bar tender were excellent.
Mia O' Faolain
Did the 1 hour cruise. It was fun and educational! Many good opportunities for beautiful pictures. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Ashwin Chandra
From someone living in Seattle and to anyone visiting this gorgeous city, I highly recommend the Harbour View tour on a nice sunny Seattle summer day. You or your guests will absolutely love it! Don't forget to go to Ivar's and feed the Seagull's next door.
Sarah Shaw
Absolutely great time, we pre-booked with our city passes option, it was so easy to arrange, availability was great for time slots.
The staff and crew were such lovely people, so welcoming, fun and engaging with everyone, an absolute credit to you lovely Seattleites! Would wholeheartedly recommend to anybody!
Justin Lent
Had a great time today. Tour was fun and the stories that the lady told were cool
Edan Asturi
Great tour, the narrator did a great job keeping us informed the entire trip. Tons of great photo ops. Cruising in and around the port was an added bonus.
Hasan Siddiqi
Best cruise 1hr passes by without even telling , you get a good view of the downtown via the harbor and ice cutters , Mt Rainier and the industrial side also
Sarah Trethewey
Informative but not entertaining. Seems that this is not good outing for children. Took 4 kids 8 and 9 years old and none of them liked it. One asked me to see if they could just drop us off somewhere. Part of this may have been because they were hungry. The kids were hungry but passengers cannot eat their own food on the eat on the boat yet can purchase food on the boat which seems like a money grab. I was glad they had something to buy though because a popsicle each kept them content for a while.

Been on 2 different seasonal tours and neither have disappointed. The Christmas with carolers was so welcome after just moving up here, and the Easter brunch is something we may start doing every year.
Bill Johnson
Excellent harbor tour. Very relaxing and quite informative. The tour guide knew the history of the sites we passed and was very affable. Highly recommend.
Rebecca Burris
this is a quaint Cruise of the harbor you get to see all sorts of wonderful things including cargo ships being loaded and unloaded and explanation of the busy port and beautiful views of Mount Rainier as well as the port is again I must ser

Beautiful sunny day for a cruise. Lars was entertaining and the cruise was very enjoyable. The weather makes all the difference in the world.
Shaun Hackett
So glad we took this tour! It was better than we expected and the sites were amazing. Learned a lot from the curator who was well versed on the area. We will definitely do this again!
Jeanie Cook
Great experience. Staff very pleasant and very helpful wheeling 2 of us up in wheelchairs on a rainy night. Joshua was very informative. The service was great with cocktails and popcorn. Able to get some great pictures. Thank you to all of the staff!!!

I had an excellent experience with Argosy Cruises. I had made a booking and then needed to change to a later time. I emailed and got a phone call back to Canada and also an email, confirming the change. Checkin and boarding was great. The …

Nice long cruise. The staff was great. Lars, our "man on the microphone" was awesome and personable knowing A LOT of information and was able to answer everyone's questions.
Katherine Richardson
This was probably my favorite thing I did with my City Pass. Our tour guide was super informative. He knew crazy fun details. The boat had seating options for top deck (which I recommend) or below deck with large windows. Drink and snack options with a server that is available the whole time. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't ask the woman with the screaming baby to take the child below deck.
Angela Cheng-Wei
Excellent customer service. Our family of 7 enjoyed the 1 hour cruise around the bay. The cruise narrator was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.
Mark Kidd
Took the typical tourist harbor cruise. The boat was clean and spacious. The tour guide was very informative and answered all our questions. Was a great hour on the water with great views of Seattle skyline.
Aracely Calzadias
Worthwhile experience and the trip was overall pleasant. We purchased "first to board" upgrade and paid an additional $15 per person for this feature only to find that despite arriving early (30 minutes), everyone was already onboard and all of the seats had been taken. We stood the entire tour, still enjoyable, but disappointed with the "upgrade".
Archita Mitra
They have different Cruises. You can choose any .But I would highly recommend always choose Sunset Cruise. Then you can get view from sunlight as well as after sunset.Otherwise you will miss one
Rosie Lu
Really relaxing and educational tour! The lady who gave the commentary did a great job and kept it engaging. Great views of Mount Rainier and the Seattle skyline. Drinks were good too, and a reasonable price.
Jomeca Escuyos
An hour of interesting facts/stories about Seattle. The speaker was funny and lively, too bad many folks were busy with selfies. 4 star for city pass users who cannot book online and have to appear personally for the boarding pass. If you're a city pass user, plan your itinerary as you will have to exchange your tickets for a boarding pass early then come back again later, 20mins before boarding to a long ang winding queue. We came at 11am hoping for the 12:05 cruise but it was already fully booked so had to come back again for the 2:45 trip.
Kiri Brown
The harbor cruise was great, we learned quite a few things about Seattle and it was so beautiful out. We had a lot of people drinking on our cruise and they didn’t care about the tour so it was a little hard to hear at times
