I never thought USPS was a spectacular service until I went to the UK and had to deal with Royal Mail and they incinerated my package because the sender made an addressing mistake. The USPS has been around for 51 years. The Royal Mail has been around for 506, half a milennia. I've sold items with USPS and nothing has gotten lost so far. Keep up the good work! I will now appreciate you a lot more as I should.

I go here a few times a week. The staff are hard working and helpful and the lobby has 2 machines so you can weigh and mail letters ans packages yourself. The mail delivery is quick from here —my daughter in NYC gets letters in 2 days and my son in Kansas in 3. Sometimes the line is long but they make a point to give throrough service to each customer which I really appreciate as I often have to send money orders or books. Very good post office!

I think the best solution is to go to UPS and pay for the additional money to get real service. In every business you always have rude employees. Some are the exception. You only get the service you voted for. They have a great amount of mail to run and lots of protesters on unemployment. I don’t blame them because the system is broken and they think $15 hr will feed your family. Another reason why you should go on strike on voting peacefully. The country doesn’t need a leader. It ran fine before they got involved. Each community needs to have their items ready to mail or pay UPS. I never trust anyone else with my serious shipments. Or Scan and email it.

Usually plenty of clerks, long lines can move faster than expected. 24/7 lobby access to po boxes, flat rate boxes, and self service machine is awesome

Fantastic customer service and well-organized postal center. I have used this place for many years, and now that I have a business I get to have all the perks (business package) for delivering and receiving items. Besides being tracking items, send/receive packages, etc. I can always find birthday or get well cards to send to relatives.

I was nervous to go here based on previous reviews, but it was a great experience! The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. I have frequently had workers advise me on different packing options to make my shipment cheaper. The experience has been so consistently exceptional that in the last 9 months I have starting using this post office over FedEx or UPS. They also have ample on-site parking, which is really convenient.

This is one of the best USPS Store I have seen. The hours of operation start from 7am - 9pm Monday to Friday. And 8am to 6pm on Saturday. If you want your package to leave early send it from this store.

I never tried to call. I walk-in when I have something to drop off or buy. There's usually a line since this is the busiest office but there's a number of people on staff so line moves along. I never used their passport services. I usually see a line there as well.

Most of the time the usps is there everyday, but monday the 26th of jan 2015 we were preparing for a nasty snow storm but the snow had not started until later that evening so we waited and waited for the mailman and he never came even though it was not bad outside!!! What ever happened to heat, sleet, rain , or snow we are always on the go!! Now because of them we went without our meds that we needed very badly!!!! And they are now opened and we cant even get thier phone to ring!!! Very unhappy!!!

I had great customer service. I called before 9 a.m. regarding a package mailed to me with the wrong address (grandma made a mistake) and the rep printed out a correction to give to the right carrier. Just have all your ducks in a row.

I have used 24 Corliss Street for years now, and it is always fine for me. Long lines are life in the big city - this is a hightly populated area. The staff is clearly busy non-stop at times, but always pleasant and business-like. I post packages and envelopes to out of town and out of country friends and relatives, with rarely a problem over the years. Even busy holiday mailings have been fine. If the phone isn't answered, remember the staff cuts to so many different public services in the past dozen years - this is the result.

Not sure why all the negative reviews. The only reason why I ever go in there is to pick up parcels (go in the door and bang a left, and go to the window) that I wasn't home to receive, and it's never been an issue. 10/10. My postal carrier is top notch, too.

There US PO is an amazing organization of efficiency. When you think of how many people have mail delivered to their homes, it is truly a miracle. There are times when things get mixed up,but I am not expecting perfection.

USPS charges extra if you use the retail counter. A package that I mailed at the automatic machine cost me $6.00. At the counter the next week they charge me around $15.00 for same package. This is ludicrous! Besides that the place is not that bad.

This location was one of the first fully automated mail sorting facilities in the US. I like dropping my mail off here because it seems to go out faster. I am not sure how much longer I can count on that due to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's budget cuts and planned delivery delays.

Great to drop mail as this is hub for RI and most mail is processed through this facility. Lines are likely for this reason and often times only two windows open to serve you

The post office has given me outstanding service greeted with a smile with above and beyond customer service thanks to the outstanding employee on staff named Filomena. She has helped me out countless times, answered all my questions and gave me a memorable customer experince so for that i greatly thank her and hope the best for her in her career goals. This woman is very respectful and She enjoys her job and helping those in need. They were extremely helpful, the Indian lady that works there went above and beyond to help me. I had my kids medicine overbighted to block island, it didn't make it in time. I had a flight to catch so she found my package as oppose to having go to block island and not having my kids hart meds. This place deserves major props!!!! I don't know the India lady's name but she needs a raise. That's how everyone should treat people.

I enjoy that the major hub is located in Providence and that they are open at later times than most smaller post offices. It’s one of the reasons I love going to this location. I’ve never had a bad customer service experience, in fact the clerks will go out of their way to help me if I need it. I appreciate that they are so knowledgeable and are willing to help or give me suggestions. They don’t have too many cashiers, so there is pretty much always a line. I’ve also gone around the holidays, and can say that is the busiest time for them so don’t wait to mail your letters and packages.
