Reviews of Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park
Rick Spiegel
WOW! Awesome zoo. Spent over 5 hours exploring the zoo grounds. Turns out this is a great place. Enjoyed the day and we seemed to see everything in one day. Very clean grounds and saw so many different species of animals our minds are on overload. We will return for another visit in the fall to see how the change of seasons turns out. Highly recommend a visit if your on the fence.

We do love this zoo! It’s beautiful and a great place to visit with your wild and free kiddos. Definitely go on non busy days if you want to experience the whole zoo, it’s big! We had a season pass (Jul 2021-22) and just renewed this December 2022. Since then the price has gone up significantly! Ouch. Also make sure to bring your lunch and snacks so you don’t end up forking out over 50 bucks for a small meal that barely feeds the family. My kids love spending half a day here and we all have lots of fun. We love the rides and activities. The staff is very kind and helpful! Definitely appreciate them and I recommend this zoo!

This is hands down the best zoo I've been to! Animals are well taken care of and the atmosphere is great. Clean and nice, animal spaces are big. So much fun for the whole family. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance especially if they are on sale on Groupon. Many locations for food throughout the zoo. Safari cafe had some great burgers, much better than some full service restaurants. Plan at least 4 hours there.

This is a big zoo that is very spaced out. A lot to see. The food and service was very bad and over priced. I was disappointed most attractions were closed. So to pay the same entry fee when things are shut down doesn’t seem right. You can easily spend the day here. This place needs some maintenance. This could be really an amazing place if some TLC is put into it. Not impressed but it has a lot to do. The ride through the middle was fun. Didn’t do the safari because you wait about 35 minutes for the vehicles to come back if there is not room.

Awesome zoo! Probably one of the best I have ever been too. The animals are just so live and vibrant! Most of the animals were playing and having a good time. The zoo definitely takes the building maintenance and animal enclosures seriously 110% at all times, very great too see.

Wildlife World is my favorite family outing location in the valley of the sun. When it's super hot outside we spend the hours in their aquarium or dragon enclosure watching the alligators, penguins, or the huge salt water crocodile. Then we slowly work our way through the otter and giant river fish display to the stingray tank, stopping along the way to see the California sea lions playing under the sunken pirate ship.On cool days we wander through their exotic animal collection, feeding the parrots, giraffes, and swans along the way. It's great fun AND if you purchase eggs locally from the Hickman's farm brand you will find a "buy one admission get one free" coupon.
Michele Waldorf
Top notch zoo. The animals look healthy and they have adequate shading for them when it gets extremely hot outside. They have shows at various parts of the day and are very informative. This zoo also has rides but you pay for them separately. There are also cafes and vending machines all over the park. It is a little pricey but it is worth it. Enjoyed the day.
Bobby Rathsavong
“It was the best zoo ever and we even got close encounters with the animals.”
That was from my son.
I recommend checking Groupon for the tickets.
We rode the train and Safari tram. It was great. We were able to get close to a lot of the animals.
Most of the feeding stations are .50 cents.
We were also able to feed some rays for $5.
We’re going to make this a regular visit every time we come to Arizona.
Taylor Patterson
This is such a great zoo. It was so much fun having almost all the animals come up to edge and interact with me. It’s nice to see the animals happy and not constantly taking depression naps. All the employees are so nice and seem to want to be there too!
Really my only complaint is the side things that you have to pay for are way to expensive, and those rides maybe only run once a hour. I get it’s a business but with such high prices demand vanishes.
Honestly if you just made the rides free and operated them as a loss leader you would bring in many more people.
Sonja Stafford
It’s simply amazing, we a family of 6 were never bored and spent 6 hours here. We loved how close we were to the Animals, the feedings are so fun especially the bird and giraffe feeding.
Rides were fun we did the chairlift and merry go around. We ate at the Safari grill and literally ate with Monkeys and Koi fish, so cool!
We will be back!
Gabriela
Lovely time I had while visiting this place.
The location is 20-30 min away from the city, so if you don’t have a car is pretty costly to get there.
The park has many nice locations and a variety of animals, birds, and reptiles.
My favorite moment was feeding the giraffes and seeing the peacocks.
Definitely worths a visit!

This Zoo is awesome!! Our second time going here and it was just as fun and entertaining as the first time around. This place has acres of land for all the animals and if you want to see everything, be prepared to spend a minimum of five hours here. The second time around we saw baby mice (pictured) which was cool. There are so many animals to see but I think I enjoyed the aquariums the most. Tickets for this place are pricey so I would suggest buying tickets on Groupon. We went on a Thursday morning and it was fairly busy because there was a field trip, but the Zoo is massive that it didn't feel crowded. Except for when you go into the aquariums, or see reptiles that are indoor. They do have a restaurant that you can dine in and their food is good.

So, it's better to go after 4:00pm because of the rides are 1/2 price or a dollar or two. It's fun to go on the rides in the different zones. So you can take a breather, and rest. It's a long walk, need some water. They didn't have any souvenir cups that you can get refills with that are cheaper than getting a new drink every time. But we got our tickets through Groupon, so it wasn't that expensive. You can see a great deal more animals here than you could the Phoenix Zoo. Phoenix's got weather make the animals stay inside and don't come out, so you can see them. I have to give the ladies at the seal exhibit a great deal of Kudos. They had to cancel the show earlier that day because it's was too hot. They gave us a little mini show when they were feeding them. It was pretty nice so it was very upfront and personal, seeing the seals interact with the trainers. Overall it was a good time. I'd go back maybe when it wasn't so hot. And thanks again to the ladies at the Seal Exhibit!
Douglas Hohulin
What a fantastic place to spend a day! It was cool but during the middle of the day some of the animals were sleeping, nothing you can do about that but be there early and stay late. The grounds were clean and the animals seemed to be taken care of. One of the best zoo's I've been to.
Rob Deutsch
Amazing place for kids and adults. We didn’t go on any of the rides as they didn’t look worth the cost. We walked the entire place and the amount of exhibits are amazing. You always have something to look at no matter where you are at. We arrived at 9:30am and left at 2pm. I think we saw just about everything in that time.
Uniquely Kory
I loved it! It was amazing and I was able to see all the animals. The sea lion show was cute. The skyride was nice and relaxing, nice way to get off your feet for a bit. The workers are friendly and do an amazing job, the aquarium manager on shift was kind and very informative. The food is fairly priced and good. Highly recommend visiting.
Carole Tyne
Had a great time at Zoo. Lots of walking so we rented the rideables. Reminded me if horse trail riding. Quite ride siting a bit higher to see over fences to view animals. Would be nice if they had Docens walking by to tell you about the animals. Our favorites were the baby otters. I also enjoyed seeing the huge ostrich eggs.
N L
Be prepared it's very expensive to enter.
Pros: This place is AMAZING. Like AMAZING. Getting so close to the animals was something I will pay extra to be able to do. Feeding the animals was also a HUGE win, and the majority of the animals were up and around, screaming happily, enclosures are large and the animals seemed happy. You got close enough to interact with them, and they talked back. We were there for 3 hours and still didn't see everything. Was awesome. Will definitely be back again when we return someday.
Cons: You have to pay extra for the rides. I'm not sure, but Covid must have taken a toll on this place. There weren't a lot of people, and the grounds were very dirty. Lots of trash and debris right at entrance. Trash allover the park, dirty tables, and the things like the bleachers where you sit to watch the show, fences, some enclosures, etc. Were badly worn and very sad looking. The Drinking fountains, and hand wash stations for the sting rays by the restaurant were filthy - and an employee sitting nearby was on her phone, when she could have cleaned it up. Many of the rides looked broken down, and inoperable.
I also don't know when peak season is in Arizona, so this may have been in the off season and they are working on things. I don't know.
I felt sad that it was probably due to lack of employees, and funding, so instead of 5 stars I did 4, and still feel bad doing that.
It's a wonderful place. If any locals have time to volunteer there, please consider offering. I think they need the help. :)

If you're looking for an inexpensive, interactive, diverse attraction, this is IT! We were lucky to come at a time where it was pretty much empty so there were no crowds or waits. We spent hours here and it took the whole day to see everything but was so fun and definitely worth the trip over! The workers we dealt with were all incredibly friendly and seemed to care about the animals they were working with. We used Groupon for a discounted ticket so I would recommend that if it's still available. It was super hot which resulted in some show and ride cancelations due to heat but we were still able to do everything we wanted. Great experience and glad we went!
Dayna Titus
Great zoo experience. It was a little pricey. The rides are extra on top of admission. There was a ton to see. The baby animal nursery and feeding the giraffe was the best part. Plenty of shaded areas and it is well laid out.
Kaleigh Pannone
I don't know what in the Joe Exotic was happening here but we had a fantastic time. Entry fee is pretty high but considering the sheer number of exhibits, it felt worth it. Little add on attraction cost more but we didn't need any of them. Fun was had by all. Highlights of the day include feeding the giraffes, petting the sting rays, and the tamarins.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park with my daughter and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The park was clean, the exhibits were wonderful, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The animals were lively, friendly, and fun, making it a great day out for the whole family.
As soon as we arrived at the Wildlife World Zoo, we were struck by the cleanliness and well-maintained grounds. The staff greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome. They were knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had about the animals and the park.
The exhibits at the Wildlife World Zoo were a highlight of the visit. They were well-designed and provided plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with the animals. We particularly enjoyed the aquarium, which was home to a wide variety of fish and other aquatic life. It was fascinating to watch them swim and interact with each other.
But the exhibits were just the beginning. We also had the chance to take a safari ride, which was a lot of fun. The animals were lively and friendly, and it was a great opportunity to get to know them a bit better. We were even lucky enough to spot some baby animals, which was a real treat.
In addition to the great exhibits and safari ride, the staff at the Wildlife World Zoo were a highlight of the visit. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and were happy to chat with us and answer any questions we had. They made the experience feel personal and welcoming.
Highly recommend you visit ❤️✌️

At first the price threw me off with the price. After visiting for the first time, it was definitely worth every penny. Plenty of things to do and animals to see. This place is actually bigger than it looks. 👍🏽👍🏽in my book! Just a heads up though, bring plenty of cash for the rides if you're into that sort of thing. Many accept cards of you don't like cash.
Ja’Niah Settles
Very huge zoo & aquarium! Lots of animals to see. However, some animals will repeat. I personally was a little scared of some lack of boundaries with animals. There was a crane loose just walking around and also the kangaroos will hop right over the rope. Be prepared to walk because you will walk 2.5-3 miles around this zoo. My favorite animal to see at this zoo is the flamingo.
Tri Chiem
Seemed pricey at first but this was totally worth the experience. They seem to have a lot of animals that are easy to spot (some species had multiple paddocks in different parts of the park). Tried the cafe and would say this was one area they could improve.
Well maintained and healthy looking animals. Usually not a fan of zoos but glad we visited this one. Learned about some magnificent animals that we have seen in real life before.
Katie Wilkins
Incredible zoo. It boasts an exceptionally wide and diverse range of wildlife. There are several indoor aquariums and inside displays that make it worth it even when it's hot outside. There are opportunities to feed sea lions, rays, koi fish, lorikeets, and giraffes. There is an impressive range of things to do and see. I definitely recommend going. Take plenty of water, though there are drinking fountains scattered throughout, I don't think it's as tasty 😁
Jeana Shelton
We loved this zoo!! They take such great care of their animals. Plus you can get to interact with them at some times of the day. We got to see a zoo keeper with a babie and take close photos . You can see the animals look happy as well.
Cara Lakin
What an awesome place! So many exotic creatures from land, air, and sea! You can tell the folks that run the place care and love the critters here. There’s also rides, a big playground, and a petting zoo for the kiddos. Oh and 2 gift shops!
Geoff Miller
This place is huge! My wife and I visit many zoos and aquariums so were a little reluctant to try this place given the price and theme park inside. We loved it, spent a little over 3 hours here. Lots of healthy animals and baby animals. They also have many different species we've never seen before. Good animal conditions. Felt like we were on vacation in South America.
Matt
A few things here and there that were not open and some redundant bird and monkey exhibits throughout, but still a ton of other things to see! It's a world zoo so you will see some things you might not catch at the Phoenix Zoo. We started off to the right after entering and the Gibbons monkeys were a riot and a must see. A few rides were down but kids did the zip line ($10 per person) and we all did the Sky Ride ($6 per person), which was a nice break from walking. We planned it so we ended at the aquariums where it was nice and cool. Missed the sea lion show but you can still see them. Overall the park has lots of shade, but areas without as well so bring sunscreen, water, and a hat in the warmer months (96 today). Can't bring food but they didn't check our backpack either. Otherwise, they have some places to eat. ***Groupon has the deals on entry fees.
Mike Anderson
It is pretty amazing here. You will spend all day here and might not see everything. This beats every zoo I have ever been to so far. They have things I have never heard of on display. Then shows they do are fantastic. It is worth the price of admission. Go through Groupon and save some money. Though you can not buy adult and children tickets in one transaction. Saw more eels then I have ever seen in one place. The Gibons are amazing. White Rhino is where it is at. Lots of interactive things for kids as well.

I had the best time visiting here while on vacation to see my in laws. My husband, daughter, mother in law, and friend visited. We had buy one get one tickets so the spendy price was not as bad. Everyone you encountered was very friendly. I got to meet the girl who takes care of the reptiles (Natalie) and she was very smart and kind. She told me about all the reptiles as I'm going to be starting school for herpetology soon at the same college she attended! Got to feed the giraffes which was the highlight of my little girl's trip! Mine was meeting Beetlejuice, their big female red tail boa! 😀🐍🦒😍
Denise Angelone
Beautiful weather, not terribly busy so social distancimg was not a problem, lots of animals out, need to keep sanitizers filled, need better signage for restrooms. A very nice zoo. Plan on 4 to 6 hours if you want to to see everything.
Sandi Burningham
I've never been to any other zoo where you can get so up close and personal with the animals, as you can here. There are several animals you can actually touch (feeding the birds and giraffes, touching the stingrays, and all the animals in the petting zoo) and many of the other animals that you can't touch have been housed in such a way that you get a fairly good, close look at them. We do wish that it would have been made more clear before entering that there is a separate expense for all the rides that are in the park.
Sangre Almira
We really enjoyed our trip to this zoo. We had a lot of close encounter to the animals. My daughter particularly love feeding the lories and the giraffe 😊 You will need to check the time of their shows and plan your day using the map to be able to maximize your experience. And also they offer discounts when you go in big groups.
Chad Graham
Seeing monkeys equals five stars, but all of the aquarium exhibits and other animals are well worth your time and money. Start to the right when you go in, because the left side is open an hour later. You will need several hours. Don't miss the petting areas.
Nicole Sipula
We had an absolute blast!! First time here and definitely will not be our last. We are on a celebration roadtrip and little one requested to see animals like lions and also ocean animals. Boom...this place checked that off and more!! We purchased a Groupon so got an even greater deal. There is so much to see and animals look greatly cared for. Kiddos enjoyed the sea lion show, it was really cute! One of their favorite things about the visit was the petting zoo area!! They would have spent forever in there if we let them! There are tons of bathrooms and many places to get a bite to eat. Bring some cash, many of the food places we went into only took cash. We had to use the ATM with the $3 extra fee in order to get some money. Food prices were a bit high...I think it was like $5 for a regular plain hot dog. The kiddos loved the train but wished the coaster and log flume were open. But the thing that really put this place on top was the thought and commitment to helping our daughter get her stone charm she lost between a wooden bench. Knowing that it was something minimally priced, the worker knew that it was something important to our daughter and that's all that mattered to him. He had to get tools and whatever else to retrieve it and told us "don't worry, I'll have it for you at lost and found before you leave." And he did and we had one happy girl! So thank you sir for making our first visit an amazing one!
Teresa Schneider
This place was so fun! The rides are worth the extra money, especially the safari tour. Bring cash most of the places in the park don’t take credit cards. Also take quarters to buy food for the animals. It is a lot of walking. We were there about 5.5 hours and I would say we saw about 60% of the park. Loved it and will go back I’m sure!
Sunny Vakkalanka
Very cool zoo and aquarium experience. Rides and restaurant are overpriced but it's negligible. Glad that (at least according to signs around the zoo) they are trying to be sustainable and ethical with animals in captivity.
Christine Roberts
I've been to this zoo throughout the years, it has grown so much, and it's great to hear how they're such a pivotal tool to help endangered species. The staff here is so helpful and patient. It's a lot of dirt trails so make sure to wear comfy shoes, sunblock and water.
Ed Ward
Wow! This place was so good we went back a second day since we were still in the area and still didn’t see all the things.
Bring quarters… lots of quarters so you can feed the animals throughout.
This property is massive! The animals are all over, with many species repeating. A lot of herd animals have huge grassy and shady exhibits.
Tons of birds and primates. Lots of big cats and other animals.
There is a train and a tram (2 different things) that take you safari-style right through the larger exhibits.
The kids playground is great for little ones.
The petting zoo was so good for our small mister, since the deer and goats were chill and the tortoises were out.
There were a ton of baby primates and other animals in the exhibits.
Shaded benches and areas are throughout to sit and stare and there are a a few places to get food spread throughout. Expect about $15 per person for food.
Aquarium was awesome and the reptile house was also great.
So much to see. We went on November and it was chilly outside but all the animals were out. Zoo closes at 6 (sunset ish) and aquarium at 7. The restaurant at the entrance closes at 9 so it’s pretty perfect just to spend the entire day.
Galina Reznik
This zoo was wonderful, lots to see, fun for children, most of the animals had good amount of space and didn’t feel claustrophobic which normally bothers me about zoos. I loved the sea lion show and the rides that were available. Also the play ground and petting zoo was great. My only complaint is the price to enter, i’ve been to zoos in probably ten different states and this has been the most expensive one yet. Even though it doesn’t offer anything different from the other ones. I was glad they offered the discount on groupon for the holiday weekend or else we wouldn’t have gone.
Boris Chavez
Awesome time in here. The place is way bigger that what it seams you will need a good 6 to see all animals and get into some of the rides. They could do a package instead of charging $6 for each ride.
Last but not least, if you are planning to eat or drink something there make sure you bring cash, no cards are accepted at the concession stands. They do have ATM but they will charge you…
M C
This place is huge and was pretty enjoyable to look around. First time here with daughter and though at first cost was a little high until we were still walking around 4.5 hours later and still had not reached the aquariums. Again, this place is huge and has very nice displays. Paths are dirt so wear shoes that are comfortable and can get dusty. Really enjoyed the zoo and aquariums and would go back again. Beverages are expensive but you can bring your own, most rides were about $6 it looked like, many were closed but we didn't partake anyway in them.
Brianne Belford
Great place to visit - lots of animal exhibits to see! We arrived later in the day and was warned about the various attractions/food vendors that would be closing soon before I purchased my tickets, which was appreciated. It was a hot 95 degree day and we were meeting people here. We arrived with our own water, our companions brought nothing and ended up spending most of their time seeking out vending machines (because all the cafes we're now closed) only to find those vending machines sold out of water. I'd suggest bringing your own water, arriving earlier in the day, or making purchases at the cafes before they close so you are hydrated and comfortable during the last hours of your visit. Something this zoo does differently than other zoos I've been to is their giraffe feeding. Here, you can climb an elevated platform and hand feed giraffes pellet food. It's pretty fun to be eye level with the giraffes and be able to interact with them.
Queen LA
Me & my family had a BLAST here. We came late & missed the shows but still walked around & saw MANY different animals. Enclosures are a little small for some animals & mostly in cages. But they seem extremely happy & vocal & loved. Can’t wait to return!
Paul O'Brien
A hidden gem of Phoenix and a better zoom than the popular one closer into the city. This is a rescue zoo and soon the experiences are more unique, varied, and often closer; on the other hand, it's not as polished as it could be (the only reason I'm dinging a star).
Feed giraffes, get up close with kangaroos, water ride through the aquarium, check out the albino alligator, and lunch next to flamingoes, this is a highly recommended review for the Wildlife World Zoo.
Donate if you can. I know they are working to upgrade and improve what is already a pretty amazing place.
Kayla Ryniker
Fun day for the whole family! Decently priced. The place is huge! We were there for 5 hrs and still had more to see. Decent food. The log ride was so much fun! I love that you can feed the animals just by buying food and not paying for an "experience" like other zoos.
Kathleen V
Love this zoo. To me rates better than Brookfield. SO many animals available to see up close. Would love to visit more often but it is a little expensive for us. We will be back tho.
*Added some pictures from the train, tram ride and Aquarium. Gift shop has some unique gifts.
Adam Estrada
My family has been coming to wildlife zoo for over 20 years. I can see all the work and thought that went into this zoo. The kids enjoyed the rides and new attractions that have been added. A few more misting machines would do great in this summer heat. Hope to see more of the events and animals when we come back in fall or winter.
Jamie Morrison
Used a groupon to get a cheaper ticket didnt see any of the shows, but still had a wonderful time. Fed the giraffes (bring quarters), saw so many animals, they were all out and lively. Went right when it opened 9am,and left around 2pm.
Vanessa Joe
We had a great Time. We used Groupon for a discount. Bring stroller for kids and an umbrella. Don't forget sunscreen. Nice place to get away but right off the freeway. Hope yall enjoy your trip.
Lindsey Jones
Had a great time! Fed the sting rays, touched an actual sea lion, and rode the sky ride over the animals. It was super fun. Would love to go back.
k d
Easily the best zoo in Arizona, and I've been to all of them, and pretty close to the best zoo in the US (haven't been to all of those yet 😅). An absolutely massive and unique collection of animals, lots of opportunities to get up-close, and the facilities are always clean and well maintained. Bring quarters to feed some of the fish and animals including the giraffes.
Freya Robinson
Wildlife World is my #1 family outing area in the valley of the sun. At the point when it's really hot external we spend the hours in their aquarium or mythical serpent walled in area watching the gators, penguins, or the immense salt water crocodile. Then we gradually manage the otter and monster stream fish show to the stingray tank, halting en route to see the California ocean lions playing under the submerged privateer ship.On cool days we meander through their colorful creature assortment, taking care of the parrots, giraffes, and swans en route. It's incredible tomfoolery AND in the event that you buy eggs locally from the Hickman's homestead image you will see as a "get one confirmation get one free" coupon.
Cody Harris
Native to the Phoenix area and I come here about once a year.
There's plenty of exhibits and they are organized well between the different animal types and world regions.
The three top features in my opinion are (1) the giraffes which you can feed for $0.50 and are always in clear view (2) the aquarium area with stingray, seal and penguin feeding and (3) the kangaroo walkabout.
There's also several small rides in the zoo including a skylift, roller coaster, zip-line, log ride and a safari tram.
Start your visit early if you want time to take in everything at your own pace.
For children there's a petting zoo and a large playground area.
Kathy O
We bought our tickets through Goupon. Cheaper then buying at the location. This is the best time to go. Weather was great, animal's were out and about. So much to see and rides are available at extra cost. Ate at one of the restaurants in Park. Their food was good and nice portions. Will go back just to see what we missed. Wear good walking shoes.
Sabrina Ellis
I adore this place! So much to do and my 6 year old son is elated every time we visit. My 16 year old daughter always finds something new each visit that she didn't notice before. The rides are a blast and just the right amount of time to satisfy kids. I'm a little bummed that the log ride was broken. It actually looked post-apocalyptic and spooky (kind of cool, actually). My favorite part is the stingrays, they are incredibly sweet and gentle.
Yesenia Rojas
Had lots of fun, My family and I went on every single ride and it would last less than a minute except sky ride. That one lasted longer which we loved .
Katisha Conner
Big place, recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.. dirt pathways and flip flops = dirty feet. Recommend going early, still gets hot with kids mid day. But fun kids loved. There is gift shop, restaurant with seating by aquarium and different little cafes throughout as well as splash ride.. wheelchairs and strollers up front, no bag check (water is $4 a bottle) It's near the Goodyear/Litchfield area, 30 min west of Phoenix.. Great deals on Groupon too.. check out some of the pics I captured 😉
Katrina Friend
Had a great day with the kids and grandaughter. Prices to get in and prices in gift shops were higher then I think they should have been without a fought but the prices to go on the various rides throughout the park were very decent.
Bourbon Santa
This was one of the best Zoos I've ever visited. It was very clean and the animals look very well taken care of. Their enclosures we all very nice.
Mary Chadwick
This is a great Zoo to take your family to, but be prepared to bring plenty of money. The entry fee of thirty something only covers that..the entry. The price for Pizza was ridiculous and you have to pay a separate price for any rides in the park. $6 pp for a train ride. If you are flush with cash I recommend this place.

The grandkids loved it for the third time. I would suggest that they clean a few of the predators building exhibits. It was a cool day and all the animals were out playing. The staff was very nice especially the young man attending the carousel. The petting zoo with lots of baby goats was a big hit!! We will be back again and again!
Chelsea Neveu
Go to this Zoo! It's huge, so be prepared for that. We walked around for about 6 hours and stopped at a couple shows they were offering throughout the day. The highlight of our visit was spending some time with this cockatoo that was clearly adopted from a family who could no longer care for them. The awesome bird is located near the baby animals building... stop and hang out for a bit! I feel like we made his/her day :-D
Erlinda Salcido
Great scenery and beautiful exotic animals up close. I took the train ride that was nice and refreshing. We bought discount tickets on groupon. Nice deal it was worth the price.
Mercedes Melgoza
Had a great time despite the warm whether; as long as you're in the shade it's not too Shang
Tons of animals to see, fed giraffes, coy fish, and stingrays
A little pricy so bring a hefty wallet 🤣
Wasn't very busy at all
One of the of indoor food stops by the sky ride was very warm so I don't think they believed in ac; also the bathroom reminded me of a horror movie truck stop 🥴
The restaurant by the exit you ask? I'd recommend finding somewhere else but they made good drinks 😅😅😅

Fun time, my family and I enjoyed seeing the bears and other animals up close. Inside the park was still so much more to see. We grabbed lunch and drinks from the food trucks and listened to a live singer (great personality). Definitely will visit again next time we are in Williams.
Charity Collins
Loved it but some animals had been taking a nap because it was a nice decently warm day with a cool breeze. I would have benefited from a tram ride to rest by barking dogs towards the end but unfortunately it was closed. I will definitely take the large size if the zoo into account next time I go. Spent a total of 6.5 hours there. Overall good time but the highlight was the white tigar playing with a ball in his water hole.
Doug Dickinson
Was visiting from out of town and decided to check out this zoo. Very glad we did. We got a chance to see the Sea Lion Show and it was great. Great Zoo and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Dawn W
Wonderful park to visit, the atmosphere is family friendly, the park is clean and offers a wide variety of things to see and experience! It's a full day of adventure if you plan to see everything.
Cyndi Olivas
Try to visit every year. Love all the animals. Hope the log ride gets fixed soon. Excited for new exhibits to be completed. Also buy hickman farm eggs and you get a 2 for 1 coupon.
Smruti Ranjan Rout
Had a good time here, most of the rides are closed due to hot weather. Good time might be around September or October when it will be not so hot, you can enjoy all the rides. Enjoyed the aquarium and Sealion show.
captain2581
Wildlife World Zoo never disappoints. We bring our kids here every year for their Birthdays. Train rides, roller coasters, ski lift rides, oustanding animal exhibits, Dillons(for BBQ and necessaryalcohol). About as close to a lion as I would ever want to be. Wild aquariums and the Seal show is incredibly fun.
Yasmin Alvarez
We went on a Wednesday and it was nice do to no big crowds of people. I made it so easy to get on rides and enjoy all the shows that where offered. My daughter had a blast with her friends. The Zoo was clean and staff was very nice!
Steve Oneil
An experience that everyone should have.
Took my gorls and they loved it.
There is al lot to see. Be prepared to spend the day there.. And preferably before it gets HOT.
You can feed the Seals, Sting Rays, and Giraffes.
Cornell Williams
Very nice zoo. Very LARGE zoo. Make sure you wear a hat, good walking shoes, and have quarters ready for animal feeding. Also plan to take breaks, and have a back up battery for your phone and cameras just in case.
Aubrey U
I don’t have words for this place, it was incredible. There’s so much to do so if you have kids make sure to bring a stroller. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the stingrays. There was one competitive one that kept getting the little fish. It was impressive seeing them flap their fins to get the food. The different birds were fairly interactive and the monkeys were hilarious to watch. There was a baby jaguar in the nursery that melted our hearts and feeding the giraffes was such a fun experience. We’ve been to several zoos but the animals here seemed well taken care of and happy. I think what they were going for to preserve some of these animal species was much better displayed than most other zoos. Highly recommend!
Erika Nelson Davis
Fun and family friendly! Lots of options to accessibility here with a train and sky ride. Great variety of exhibits, animals, and hands on.
Taylor T
We had a great time at the park. We really enjoyed feeding the parrots. The park is huge and our kids were entertained the whole day!
DisobeyThePope
This is our favorite zoo because we love birds and this place has a ton! Also amazing siamangs and gibbons. Plus a great aquarium.
Tommy Wheeler
10/10! Brought the family here and had a wonderful time! Could honestly spend 2 days here to really take in everything. The facility is well taken care of.
Stephanie Hines
We bought discount tickets on Groupon last year but the pandemic happened and they expired but the wildlife world zoo still honored the value of the ticket we just paid the price difference and it was totally worth it. They have lots of animals and they were actually visible they also have rides kind of pricey because they're per person and I have a large family but if it's only two or three people price not bad. Even still we still got on a couple of rides and we had lots of fun. The aquarium side is a lot smaller but we still enjoyed it.
tara
We only had about 3 hours before they closed so we had to hustle I would recommend planning your trip for 5 hours. Kids had a blast thought hey loved the aquarium and zoo. The log ride was fun even though we got soaked (kinda helped keep us cool while walking around) my phone died while we were there so I didn't get many pictures of the zoo
Jared Hinton
This zoo/aquarium is fairly low key. It surprisingly packed with amazing sights and a good collection of animals. I’ve been to a fair amount of zoos, and I think this one is surprisingly my favorite. Just had several great encounters and not nearly as busy as some of the other major city zoos. Highly recommend for kids that love animals.
Bob Madeley
This zoo and aquarium is excellent! The highlights for me included hand feeding a giraffe and feeding the lories (parrot like birds). There are just so many animals and when we went, it was not busy at all - it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! However, once the morning clouds burned off it became unbearably hot. There are indoor air conditioned exhibits but these are small and scattered. Overall, i love how CLOSE you can get to the animals and how many there are. Also, it seemed like the animals were taken very good care of. Definitely one of the best zoos I've ever been to!
Chris Kline
A great place to get up close to beautiful animals. As owner of Discount Aquarium Fish and Reef in Tempe Arizona my favorite features are the Aquariums. It is easy to see why this is a popular field trip adventure for kids of all ages, and adults too!
Kali Rose
Great time ! Took the little one as soon as they opened. Had about 2/3 hrs before it got too hot but they have a ton of cool indoor options as well so we took about another hour looking at all of the indoor exhibits. Wouldn’t recommend going later in the day as it’s just too hot in Az right now. Used a Groupon which saved tons of $$ and they had no problem cashing it in !
Diana Milone
We had a great visit on a Thursday. I have a adult son with autism and he really enjoyed it all, especially the feeding the giraffe and seeing the lions! Great place to go!! Lots of animals too see and friendly helpful staff!!
Toni
I highly recommend you use LivingSocial or Groupon to buy tickets when they have specials. I believe we saved $20 for adults and $10 for kids tickets. This is a fabulous zoo with lots to do and see. There are amusement rides which cost extra, $6 per ride, per person. Some of the rides were closed due to maintenance but we still got on a few.
There’s lots of shade on the trails and areas to sit. The zoo does allow you to bring in your own waters, which I recommend because the cafes can be expensive. Drinks and food in cafe rage from $2 to $7. You can even feed sea lions for $5 which was a cool experience for the kiddos.
Monica N
Great place to visit for all ages. You can get really close to most of the animals! Definitely go during the cooler months and plan to stay all day! We didn't tour the whole zoo, but there were no misters on any of the paths we were on. I did see misters for some of the animals, which is a good thing.
Kirstin Sullivan
Amazing animals. Very spacious walkways, bathrooms everywhere. So many exhibits. Both the zoo and aquarium were incredible. Worth the price
Aliria Adult Placement Agency LLC
I have always loved this zoo; it has some animals you
don't see at the Phx zoo and it's full of Llamas! Today
they had a baby puma!! They have rides that my kids
and I enjoy as well. Black swans that just come up
and eat out of ur hand, their special pellets, def not
fearful peacocks, and lots of monkeys! It takes me an
hour to get out there, but so worth it…their petting
zoo is adorable! We try to get out there at least twice a year! This time we did the zip line and it was excellent! My 5 year old went on it 4 times! They sifted through some mining sand and discovered some neat gems! We keep forgetting about the food place in the back and get it from the front..wait to get it in the back..more options sometime.
Anissa Miracle
There was a great selection of animals. There seemed to be a lot of diversity. Some which you will not find at most zoos. The animals looked like they were well cared for. Lots of different rides and fun attractions for the kids. We were able to pet the deer and goats. We were able to feed lots of animals like giraffes. The staff didn't seem too friendly but it was not problematic. Our kids loved the zoo and that was what mattered most. Although it did seem very handicap accessible, to rent a wheel chair was $20 which just seemed very expensive.
Invisible Girl
I have been visiting this zoo for 20 years. It has grown, and keeps getting better. The animals all look healthy, are easily viewed, and always interesting.
We always love to feed the sting rays and giraffes. The petting zoo area can be a bit overwhelming for smaller or timid children (the goats eat everything, and jump on people). This isn’t an issue for the older kids.
The train is fun, but the tram is even better. There are a lot of fun ways to experience the zoo, and I encourage you to explore them all.
I was a bit bummed that this last visit had so many things closed. The kangaroo enclosure was closed, the giraffe feeding stations were closed, the meerkats were in for vet checks. These things didn’t detract from fun we had, and I understand that to make improvements some things will be closed. Also the animals need to be cared for, so we just happened to go on a day when the meerkats were being checked which makes me feel good that the animals are cared for.
I’ve never seen a dead, or ill looking animal at this zoo. We got a treat when we happened to be by the otters during feeding time. The two babies were too cute for words.
There are lots of shady spots, and places to sit. They have added rental scooters dressed up as animals which was neat (for those who don’t want to walk).
This is my favorite zoo in the valley, beating out the Phoenix zoo on so many levels. Check out Groupon for deals on tickets. I got two children’s tickets for under $30.
Todd Epley
Very cool and intimate zoo. It’s much more natural seeming than the Phoenix Zoo. Feeding the giraffes was a highlight of the day. Many of the rides and attractions were closed but I think that it being out of season and COVID contributed to that. Great place to bring the family. My toddler loved it.
Naresh Golla
Great place to spend a day out. Variety of animals and rides around. All in one place. Value for money. The walk ways would have been better. Only cash is accepted at the food courts which I never knew but there are ATM’s here and there. Just in case you don’t have cash, carry a debit card and withdraw earlier to avoid ATM fees.
Rosanna James
Visiting the WWZ is a new family Christmas tradition we truly enjoy and spend our entire day here from when it's open to closing! From the kid friendly rides and playground to the animal feedings, there's something for everyone! We love it here!
Niki Renslow
So fun!! The kids loved riding the safari train and feeding the giraffes! They also got to feed stingrays which was SO fun. The penguins are the cutest. Lots of food options, but make sure you bring cash. The cafés around the park don't take debit.
Crystal Seniff
so much to see, we waled all day and saw 98%of the park. Great animal displays..and love the fact their is something to see everywhere
Hailey Maloney
Wow, this place is massive. We were there 9:30-5:30 and didn't see everything still! So many cool animals and experiences. I wish there was an option of paying more for a rides punch card or something. Highlight of the day was the sea lion show. Staff was very nice. Would definitely recommend.
Honey B
Had a great time here. I love animals so this place was awesome. All the animals were out. They have tons of peacocks roaming around which was pretty cool. Definitely will visit again when I’m in Phoenix
Janetta Messmer
So many animals to see. Enjoyed everything. Next time we'll rent the scooters to save our feet. 🤣 Walked lots of miles.
Ramisha Sykes
I try to visit Zoos wherever i go and so far this is my second fav zoo because the Giraffes always are really close and you dont have to pay extra to go up on the bridge to see them
Tiffany N
Experience is great especially with your kids. But I easily spent over 400 on tickets rides and food. Just a bottle of water is $5 each ride ranges from $6-$15 cheeseburger is $10, so definitely eat before hand and being in drinks in a bag.
kevin cousins
This place is huge and has more animals than you can look at in a single day. Great place for Forced Family Fun day.
Jay Sa
The place is huge! Be prepared to spend at least 5hrs here. Plan ahead to catch the shows. Place is clean and animals seemed to be well take care of. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back!
Will Moore
They have a wide variety of animals. It's the first aquarium I've ever been to. Their exhibits are very creative great names great details. The Animals are active.
Roy Roddey
Quite the excellent place! Well kept and lots of different animals. Prices are quite high for entry and food but place is worth the splurge. Wish the pathways had more sidewalks (concrete or paved) since pushing a wheelchair was hard on the soft packed dirt/mud. Enjoyed the wildlife show but it was on the short side (just 4 animals brought out). Everything but the animals costs extra. Bring lots of quarters if you want the kids to feed the animals.
Katja Broussard
Very large to walk around has more to do then the phoenix zoo so thats a pluw, wish some of the larger animals were awoke like i woulda love to see the lion moving around instead of sleeping but hey they r animals and its hot here in az lol. Everything was great nice staff bathrooms clean. We went on one ride the sky ride im afraid of heights but i got over my fear. Me and the family had a great time for our first time going. 😇
David Sterne
First time visiting this zoo, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big it was and how many animals they had. It was definitely a hot day and not too crowded, but the animals were still out moving around. Very good time.
Martin Strong
Much much bigger than you think. We had a great time. Spent 5 hours and still didn't get to the whole park.
Katrina Sandy-Colon
Wonderful day spent at the zoo! Definitely recommend the safari park tram ride totally worth the $6 per person, the train ride not so much.
Joseph Winchester
Large park with lots to see. Would have rated 4 stars but you have to pay for rides individually. For example, a 3 min log ride was $6 per person or $24 for a family of 4! If you then want to ride the train it's another $24 for a family of 4. There were only 3 rides, why not just include with the price? Staff was super friendly. Albino alligator was awesome. Beware that when temperatures are high some of the things will not be open including some of the animal shows (understandable). Would probably not recommend going when temperatures are above the 80's.
Isys Leon
Always so fun to go! Little ones loved feeding the birds and the giraffes. Lots of fun rides (they do cost extra). They have new rideable animals that are totally worth the money. We were able to get a lot more done in less time.
Alycia Smith (Eyemhigh420)
It was fun. A little expensive for their rides. The food and water was way over priced. It was a fun day out with family
Brenda Kerns
Had a gud time lots of beautiful wildlife be prepared to spend the day lots of animals to see so many cool things here really enjoyed the day!!
Trevor Bevington
Awesome time ,they got animals ,rides and delicious bbq . Groupon has some deals to .
Laurel Gibbard
We love this conservation zoo. We go every year. There is always something new. Friendly and informative staff.
Kristi Miyamae
This was worth driving out to see the animals. We went during the summer so it was hot. I'd suggest bringing water with you. They have a large array of birds and animals. There are even a few rides that you pay extra to go on. We rode the train to see some of the animals and it was worth the $6 per person. The driver was extremely knowledgeable about all the animals on the ride. I also paid to feed the manta rays. That was an experience!
Ministry of Design Arizona Republic
Great place! Huge park with rides that are extra and nice aquarium and zoo.
Note: coolers not allowed, cash only at the parks food spots, limited menu to icee, hot dog or pop corn. zooberto’s is closed/shut.
Bring cash and snacks.
This park is huge, didn’t get to the whole park.
The restaurant they have Dillons’s doesn’t really have any good choices and is very expensive so eat before arriving or bring snacks. $15.99 for a horrible hamburger is a rip off.
Bring quarters for feeding the ducks, goats, it costs .50c all over the park.
Gift shop is pricey but has everything except the artic fox.
They do annual passes but we got good deals on groupon.
We’ll probably visit in 2022. Would be nice if they did something for Christmas.
Julie Arteaga
We pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was pretty hot. The aquarium was fantastic! Beautiful animals. All paired,no longlines here ;)
Veronica S
Great zoo. Wish I had more time to spend there. Everyone was nice and knowledgeable. Will be returning.
Kris
We had a blast here. My kids loved it so much. We purchased our tickets from Groupon and didn't have to wait in any lines. It was fantastic!
Michael Barreca
We got our tickets thru Groupon on line we had no issues got a great deal... Masks were not required, nor vaccine. I'm usually a huge animal guy, but something was off at this place, the animals often appeared sedated or traumatized, look into the eyes if the animals, there's barley life there. Never experienced this in a zoo type setting and I've traveled a lot. There is an air force base next to the African Safari area and can often be quite loud, wee spent 3-4 hours here and heard more then a few loud planes. The animals were all out we saw them all, the aquarium is great, no matter where you sit on the log rude you will get wet. The train and team tours are quick and cool, snack bars are cash only except main restaurant. There are a ton of birds, the thing is everything you see in a cage, you see just about the same animals when you are on the train or tram in the open, not sure why there are so many birds like maybe out them in one area so we aren't forced to walk thru Miles of birds. At the end of the day I'd say it was fun my kids loved it so that's a win. I doubt we'll ever be back but it was worth doing once.
John Klosinski
It is great as always. The variety of animals and how accessible they are is unmatched in AZ. Friendly staff and plenty of "addons" for anyone independently wealthy.
Paco Hernandez
Great zoo with so many animals and aquatic animals to see! The animals look happy and we'll taken care of when visiting! Friendly staff as well as being LEO friendly is awesome! The price is a bit steep, but I goes towards the staff and animal care. There are deals from time to time for entry that are definitely worth it. Can't wait to see what animals they bring in next!
Arianne Grace-Lea
We LOVE this place, could easily spend 8 hrs and still not fully experience it all, better than any "zoo" I've ever been to!
Benjamin Kastelic
This place is amazing 🤩 the best zoo or wildlife place I have been to in the country. I highly recommend this place overall. They have rides, indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Tons of any animals and sea life - great for all ages. …
Kelly Kady
I have only been to a handful of zoos, but this was by far my favorite. We saw baby monkeys and baby giraffes with their mamas, watched the otters do tricks for food, and saw numerous exotic birds. We especially enjoyed the large bird cage that housed several different species of finches that we had never seen before, many of which were very colorful. There were a couple species that had extremely long tails, too. It was a great experience overall and I would highly recommend it.
Samantha Givens
It was a great visit! The sea lion show is so cute! And the bird feeding experience was so fun. Worth going plus not to busy.
Alyssa Givens
This place is SO cool! My husband and I had only planned on spending a couple hours here with our 3 young kiddos and ended up spending twice that amount of time checking things out and we were still far from exploring everything available! It could definitely be a 2 day activity or if you start early and just briefly go through each exhibit could probably be a 1 day venture. My kids and I especially enjoyed petting and feeding the stingrays, goats, baby goats, deer and giraffes! It was such an awesome experience getting to interact with the animals on a personal level and it's something my kids and I will remember for many years to come. I look forward to visiting again on future trips to the Phoenix area!
Annie Isabel
Nice zoo been here a few times my kids love to see the animals that are here.
Cornelia Merth
Best Zoo ever! Had a great time! Feeding and petting rays was too much fun! Talking to employees about the animals was very educational!
Omar Faruq
Big zoo but expensive for average middle class. Every ride is $6 should couple of bucks with $40 plus tax entry fee. Limited food options
Chrystal Castillo
None of the rides are in service, the animals are great but it's a big park, alot of walking all dirt paths... I went years ago when my kids were small, they loved it! Took them now as teens, we pretty much just power walked the park in about 1.5 hours. Honestly we got passes this time from work, I wouldn't pay full price... not with everything closed....maybe cause it's still hot? I dunno, collection of animals are great though
Zack
Awesome zoo with a big variety of animals to visit. Hard to find open rides but I think a lot of their stuff being closed is a staffing issue, like most places are dealing with. The BBQ place makes it easy to plan dinner to finish off the day. Overall it's worth a day trip but I feel like the zoo has a lot more potential.
Hopefully the dumb casino going in across the street doesn't ruin this zoo.
olivia hernandez
The zoo is amazing! Very neat clean and spacious. There is rides and over 600 species of animals not to mention the aquarium and the aviary's. The safari tram ride is fascinating as you're in amongst the animals in their enclosure on a tram and our guide was wonderful. There's places to eat throughout the park and it takes at least one full day if not 2 to be able to see everything!
Eric Hullstrom
This place was so much fun. I can not comment on the admission price since my mom wanted to treat her grandkids to a fun day. This zoo is well laid out, but be prepared to walk a lot. They do offer these animal-looking scooters to ride if you need that. Food prices were pricey, but that wasn't a surprise. My favorite was feeding the giraffes and them licking our hands. My kids loved this. It's definitely a must stop.
Sinful one
It was nice and empty this morning a little after opening. Loved it since covid-19 we didnt have to deal with a lot of people. It was hot but hey its Arizona. We had fun. My daughter enjoyed seeing all the animals and the aquarium.
Honest Answers
My brother and I were up visiting Phoenix and decided to go on a little adventure at the wildlife zoo and aquarium. It was a very large place it could easily take an entire day if you have small children you could break it up into two days.
If you are bringing children you should know that the pathways are mostly dirt.
The aquarium was my favorite part! It was nice cool and there were a lot of species to look at. My favorite part was the stingray that you could actually touch and feed they were so friendly it was a memorable experience. Though I feel pretty sad that they actually probably just live in that enclosure which has nothing that resembles any real life experience for them it's just an empty cement tank, which is very sad.
The park was pretty vacant of people which was perfect! They had many animals.
I did feel bad for the animals because the enclosures were small and they really didn't have any kind of habitat to interact in. the monkeys basically were in a cage with some wooden sticks and ropes, they were just trying to grasp at the greenery outside of their cages.
For some reason the donkeys, deer and the reindeer were in flooded pens. The donkeys were standing up on a little mound out of the water. The birds crossed from the monkeys were in wiring closure with muddy very smelly mud, no vegetation just an empty pen with mud and a water bowl that they were standing in... very sad.
There is a kangaroo walkabout I was greatly surprised that you could walk in with the kangaroos not inside of a cage or enclosure. You walk along the path and the kangaroos kind of stay on their side that was pretty enjoyable.
The animals didn't seem overly thrilled about their enclosures it is time for an upgrade.
There are many rides and the prices were acceptable. Prices average about 3 to $6 a ride except for the zip line which was $15! Though it was out of service.
I felt for the park admission price was overpriced. But we're hoping that money goes to the animals, so it was okay for a once and only time visit.
I would say if you have the means go and visit support the animals. If I could ask anything please just upgrade their enclosures to give them a little quality of life.
Nicole Casino
Buy your tickets on Groupon this zoo is huge there is a lot of walking ..food is outrageous bottle of water 4 dollars and bag of small popcorn 5.99
Candi Dailey
We took the grandkids (age 9 and 10) for their birthdays. We also brought my daughter and son 'n law, I think they all had a great time!! My husband and I definitely did! The employees were really great and helpful with animal info, directions, etc. The animals were active because we went in the morning, it was a bit cooler. The baby goats were the best to pet, feed and even snuggle a bit! ❤️
Tabitha Suncat
WOW! What a great deal! We loved this park. So big and so many things to see and do. We loved the sky ride. All of the different exhibits are amazing. Kids loved it. We didn't make it through the whole park it was so big. It would take at least 4 hours to go through.
Jhon Perea
It's an amazing place, magical if you will. I have been visiting thus place since I was on the would. This place has a very special place on my heart of hearts. I love the WIDE variety of animals and activities they offer. As well as the feeding of the stingrays and giraffes. I hope you have a marvelous time when you next visit😁 …
Jeffrey Viterbo
Amazing place for a family day. They have a playground and children's petting area. They have a train that encircles an area of the park and is a fun way for the kids to see the animals. The Sky ride is a lift that gives you an aerial view. The trolley seemed to give a tour of the backside of the zoo. They also had a log water ride, a zip line ride, amongst other rides such as Mary go round, roller coaster, and a spinning parrot ride that was alot of fun. (We rode 4x @ $6ea.) Kids like it!! They have White and Bengal tigers as well. It really has expanded since I was young. And now they have a Dillon's connected to the zoo ground. Awesome food and good family fun @ Wildlife World Zoo.
Jessica Serrano
Loved it!! Kids loved it. Definitely lots to see. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because its all dirt. There is so many things to see. Also, plenty of animals to feed. (Bring quarters) overall, its a great stop to explore in 6 hours including eating. Definitely coming back!
Corbin Maxey
LOVED IT!!! I’ve been to many zoos around the country and this by far is one of my favorites. The zoo is home to so many animals, large outdoor habitats, plenty of shade for animals (and humans), really friendly staff, and excellent food. They also are the only zoo I’ve ever been to that has Rydables, a great way to see the 100 acre zoo! 5 stars we will be back!!!
Makayla K
It was amazing! We have gone twice and have barely seen half of it. My favorite is the jaguar and the nursery building. The admission for adults is around $40 and children are around $20 dollars I think. Which I think is a pretty good price since they have over 600 animals and a lot of them are endangered and are rescues. We were there from 11 to 7, which is quite awhile so you will need some good shoes and sunscreen. My only complaint is that the little restaurant only take cash but the sea lion show takes credit cards. The enclosure are actually pretty good, they could be better but they are giving them what counts.
Kyra Schifferer
It was hot hot hot but so much to see. I recommend going right when they open. It was nice that it was not crowded so we could see alot pretty quickly. We still didn't see 1/3 of it but will be back in the fall! Look for Groupon deal it was great!
Cathy Baker
One of the best zoos I have been to and I have been to a total of 7 zoos in 7 different states. The enclosures are very large, more natural than most zoos and most animals are at least in pairs if not more so seem very happy. They were active, the jaguars were tackling eachother, the hippos were out and having some territory standoffs, and even the tortoises were active mating!!! You can feed and touch the giraffes, the place is more natural than most zoos, and the cafe is delicious too!!!
SAM Smart
This is one super fun zoo! I love how up close we can get to all the animals. The park is huge so bring comfortable shoes and supplies for the little ones. They're quite a few rides here, the day we went a couple of the rides were closed. The aquarium is absolutely awesome. Every exhibit was very informative and educational. Definitely more to do and see than the Phoenix zoo. One tip don't eat the food at the zoo stands cuz it's overpriced. Dillons has an entry from the zoo that has absolutely delicious food at moderate prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and will definitely be back.
Andrea Jones
A little pricy, the log ride was closed. You can feed and touch a lot of things! Bring quarters for the animal treats!
Erik Sedano
Last time I visited wildlife world zoo was back in 2012 and the zoo did not impress my daughter nor me. It was so hot and very little shade. No animals on most of the exhibitions, lots of bird and lizards to see.. the only reason why we were there it was for the aquarium exhibition which back in the days we did not have one in town.
This time around is 2021and my family was mind blown from the new exhibitions. We love the new white tiger and the lion. Lots of new trees to keep under the shade. They are now serving hot and cold drinks. The rides are running and very little lines to get on. My kids fed the giraffe and did the petting zoo.. yes it was hot but we lived in Arizona so live with it lol
I want to thank all the volunteers and zoo keepers for keeping up with this Zoo.. with out your Hard work this animals will suffer in this heat...
Russell Berthelette
I will say this zoo has much more to offer than Phoenix, animal versatility is on point they have new upcoming attractions and animal viewings! The shows are relatively interactive too. Just one recommendation is not to go in the heat of the summer it is a 5 mile walk within the zoo. The heat is real!!
Janelle Beyer
So many different species and the animals are active and seem happy. It's easy to see the animals and everything is spread out well. Some of the bathrooms, etc. could use an upgrade, but we enjoyed ourselves and my kids loved it!
Jana Moffat
Had dinner plans with friends,no show so we went to Dillons anyway, good meal hubby had Brisket dinner, I had Catfish. Can honestly say it was very good, we both enjoyed our dinner. Waitress was great, friendly, told us about items that were not available when we were seated. Great evening, sat next to the aquarium.

Way better than the Phoenix zoo imo. So many beautiful animals, birds, and amphibians and has an aquarium as part of the zoo. Definitely worth the money and the animals seemed extremely well cared for and were surprisingly very interactive. We brought our daughter for her first zoo trip and the monkeys were even "playing" with her through the enclosures.
Tenasha Ka
What a plethora of fish, birds and animals to see. Lots of walking. Definitely recommend bringing water. The lions really have no shame though... hahaha
Michel Brown
We had not been there in many years. The zoo is much improved. Our granddaughter had great fun feeding giraffes and petting pygmy goats. It's great to be able to eat lunch at one of the best BBQ restaurants in the city right at the zoo, Dillons.
Laura
Had so much fun! It was super hot when we went but there's enough indoor stuff to recoup for a bit. Lots of adorable animals to see and looked like they were being well taken care of :)
Stephanie Dixon
This place is huge! Good walking shoes and plenty of water suggested. Had a blast though. So many animals and the aquarium was great as well. I will definitely be going back.
christina keech
My fav zoo in AZ the sea lion show is must! But just walking around this zoo you get close encounters with lots of animals.
Ryan Sanders
Best zoo I’ve ever been to. There are tons of animals and PLENTY to see (You can stay here for hours and not get bored). My favorite attraction is the Skyride. Yes, the tickets are very pricey, but in my opinion it is worth it.
Terri Peve
We had a wonderful time visiting your zoo. We rented the riding animals scooters to see everything. It was fun, but it would have been better to know the cost of the scooters before renting them.
Haley Handy
I've been going to this zoo for 14 years. And everytime I go, it's an amazing experience. Watching this zoo grow and expand is such an amazing thing. Everytime it a whole new experience and worth every penny. Will continue to go here till the day I die. If you haven't gone here yet or debating if it'd worth it. It 100% is worth it. You and you're family will love going.
Robin Cook
Such a fun place to have dinner or just drinks and listen to music!
Dale Hicks
I LOVE this place 👍👍👍
We took our 3 grandsons on the last day of spring break and even though we got there about 20 minutes before they opened, there was already a line to get in. Took about 25 minutes to finally get in the zoo - they really need to fix their entry process. Otherwise great day here. We took the tram, fed the giraffes, got close to and saw every animal we wanted to see but still didn't see half the park although we were there for over 4 hours. This place is HUGE, so it never seemed crowded. On this day their concessions was overloaded and the wait at lunchtime was probably an hour. Even still, this is an amazing zoo and Groupon always has discount tickets.
Chrystal “Lilpxo”
Had the most wonderful time at the Zoo. Come with plans for sand in your shoes. All other activities are cash only and 3 to 8 dollars a piece.
Bring 100 per kid min.
You can bring your own food
Jarsnofski
Absolutely loved this zoo! Concessions may seem expensive but running a zoo is very expensive, so for the price its very reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again, and try to come in the winter or early in the day. The animals will like to hide inside because it gets so hot, which is understandable.
Jessica Federico
There is so much to see! Plan on being here all day. At the aquarium you can touch star fish and sting rays. The sting rays actually swim up the sides of the pool so you can touch them. Also plan on paying a little extra and take the tram through the safari park.
Joseph L Mc manus
This is the best zoo/wildlife park in the state of Arizona by far. You can get up close to most of the animals but they also are thoughtful about their animals having sufficient space. I love this zoo and routinely sign up for the annual pass.
David Parmigiani
If you don't mind spending a bunch of money and like walking it's cool. If I were able to change anything, lower prices for water as $4 is nuts and misters throughout the park would help or more shade trees. The inside water aquarium has a bad odor in all the buildings and it is not the aquarium smell. Most of the workers weren't able to answer questions about the animals and they didn't seem to have names.
Dan G
This is a super fun zoo and aquarium. The best part was feeding the Giraffes. You can buy a small handful of pellets for 50 cents. Look for a groupon to save some $.
Oh and watch out for the zoo staff on the carts. They drive super fast and kind of crazy.
Suphakarn G
We visited the zoo today and had a great time! Great view of the animals and there’s also a lot of shade, which is nice. The Aquarium exhibits are well done and a lot to see! Our 3 year old grandson really enjoyed the sea lions show and getting to feed them afterwards was the highlight (cost $5 for 2 fish). I like that they have a tall feeding station so you can feed the giraffes. We rode the safari tram in the safari park area. It was educational and got us a little closer to the animals in addition to us resting our feet. We'll definitely go back as I am sure we probably have only seen half or less of all the exhibits.
Jess Parker
This place is awesome! The kids will love it a perfect place for the entire family. They have some unique animals that other zoos do not have. There are rides for the kids and some rides for the adults as well. Make sure to take the guided tram tour in the Safari exhibit. The Skyride is also exhilarating and gives you a great view of the entire Zoo. A must-see place as I will be back with my family again. New update December 2021. RIDE THE ZIP LINE!........I'm 6'3" 251lb and it was another awesome ride. Size does not matter unless your a sumo wrestler. Make sure to visit the gift shop and your purchases or profits benefit the zoo.!
Austen Broun
I used to go here as a kid, and I must say nostalgia paints everything with rose colored glasses. As an adult, I found myself wondering why there were so many repeat exhibits; however, that did not take away from the joy of watching my son enjoy this zoo! Seriously, take your kids. I can't think of a better way to spend a day than enjoying the wonder alongside your little ones.
Daniel O'Hara
Saw this place on fox 10 news. On a trip to phoenix for mother's day we went to the zoo.
The peacocks roaming around were cool, not sure if this was on purpose.
Most paths are not wheel chair friendly, but the terrain kind of made it feel cozy and wild. Which we did enjoy.
Part of the zoo seemed abandoned and just thrown together.
None of the rides, aside from the sky ride, had workers. The sky ride had one woman working her butt off in 105 degree weather. Running up and down the platform. I felt extremely sorry for her.
Several of the animals, mainly exotic ducks and birds, had escaped there enclosure and we're roaming around. There were at least 2 groups of what seemed like a few day old ducks walking around. Although it was kinda cool, it's also scary to think that some of the other animals could also escape.
The parrot feeding was awesome. The giraffe licking ( feeding) was also fun. Although the coin operated food dispenser constantly jammed.
The penguin feeding show was beyond disappointing. Don't waist your time. 3 people walk into the exhibit with a clip board handing certain cups of food to certain penguins. No show and not at all interesting. A little explaination might have helped. But doubtfully.
The sea lion show was awesome. The feeding, not so much. Super expensive for getting to throw a fish into an aquarium.
The sting ray feeding could have been cool but the worker was to busy playing on her phone to help us or anyone else wanting to feed them.
The website. It is aweful. My first time on the website I noticed several issues. Mostly security issues. There certificates were outdated, several links were corrupt and lead to dangerous sites, other links were dead. I emailed them letting them know. I never got a reply or even a thank you. Eventually there site was somewhat fixed. The site definitely needs help from someone. I can't imagine the amount of people that have turned away because of it. But don't let it deter you.
Overall we enjoyed it. The zoo has potential but seems a bit run down and neglected. Most of the animals seemed sad, like in most zoos. But you can get alot closer to them here than most zoos.
We will go back, but hopefully things get better before than.
It's worth the visit and the price, just don't expect a clean, modernized, and well staffed place.
Erin Collins
Awesome experience. I love all the animals,
my favorite is a hyacinth macaw.
Went to Dillons for lunch and the food was awesome! sat next to a family with several coughing little kids and I have a cold now ,
If your little ones aren’t feeling well definitely don’t take them out in public.
That one is kind of a no-brainer for me.
but other than that it was a fantastic trip.
John Becker
Nice, expansive zoo offering a different experience than the main Phoenix Zoo. Plan for up to a full day because there are a ton of exhibits to see. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely return in the future!
Amanda Bowen
It was nice.. The kids enjoyed it. I was a little sad the giraffe feeding area was shut down. The kids loved the feed the stingrays portion of the aquarium. I look forward to the aquarium portion having their petting zoo portion opened up again as well.
Susie Drake
Excellent place to go. we spent 7 hours here and still did not see everything. We are definitely coming again. The admission prices are fair. We did use a Groupon. The gift shop and food are also reasonably priced. We spent less than 100$ and had a wonderful time.

I have a medical condition, and had a cooler bag to keep my food and medications cold. I explained this to the person at the window and she continued to say that they had a contract with the restaurants not to allow coolers. I asked to speak to a manager and she assured me that they were going to tell me the same thing and that she could give me a bag. She handed me a grocery bag, I explained to her that type of bag would not keep anything cold. She still reiterated that fact that it was the policy. I felt like I had no more options so I took out my fruit, water and medication so that we wouldn’t continue to hold up the line. Now only was the young lady rude, I believe that my ethnicity may have played a part. After entering in the park I saw a man of Caucasian decent pulling a large cooler on wheels all around the park, but I was not able to have a small cooler bag for water, medication and fruit? I would have gladly showed her the items if she was unsure of me telling the truth. Can’t say if my husband and I will bring our 4 children here again, and this was what one of of our children wanted to do for their birthday, but this was not right. Other than that, I am a native to Arizona so I enjoyed the AZ sun and heat and my children enjoyed the park to the fullest. The log ride, sting Ray and Giraffe feeding just to name a few.
Emjay Bee
A great place to spend hours on end with a toddler, which makes a yearly pass a great investment.
I find it highly unfair for people to write bad reviews because other patrons aren’t wearing masks. Once through the gate, they pull them off. While they should put them on inside, you can’t expect them to have enough employees monitoring every area. If you’re concerned, then by all means, wear yours and maintain a safe distance.
SanDreia Ferrin
We love be this zoo... Great variety of animals, lots of open space. Rides if you are into a theme park fun time. Amazing aquariums. It is spread out so plan to spend the day or only see a portion of the options. Restraunts throughout ..bring cash, the do not support cards in the zoo. Our favorite place to eat is Dillion's BBQ they take a card and are next to the aquariums. Ability to feed the giraffes and fish with quarter ($0.50) feeder machines. Awesome place to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Dirt paths. Playground for kids if you want a break. $$$ per ticket but worth it if you can spend time. With a family of 7 we can only afford to go a couple of times a year but it is worth the drive.
Robert Patterson
Had a fantastic time. Gift shops were reasonable and food as well. Beats the Phoenix Zoo by far on all fronts hands down. Coin feeders were a rip off though. Update please as 50 cents for 5 to 10 pieces ? 🤔😔
Bruce B
This is a much bigger place than I expected it was going to be! The weird thing is, is that it seems to operate in a “smaller” way, especially when it comes to staffing. For example, when it comes to the rides, a single person was operating them - and by that I mean the same person who was driving the safari car was also the one who was selling tickets. Likewise the sky ride. So lines seemed a little slower than they would be if there was even a team of two. The other problem I had was how expensive it was overall. $40 per adult to get in, eat lunch at their cafe and it’s a $10 burger and a $5 coke, every ride is $6 per person...you get the picture. So it became a little more expensive than I had originally imagined. Overall though, very big, lots of great animals, the aquarium is fantastic, they even have a sea lion show! (After which, you can pay to take pictures and throw fish.) The parking lot is smaller, so when we went on a Saturday afternoon, we had to park on the street. Also, don’t know if they were having problems with their network, but the cafes only took cash. Bring quarters too if you want to feed the animals.
Thérèse Moses
We did not have an opportunity to visit the wildlife world zoo although we did get to see some of the wildlife, such as the albino alligator and the flamingos. They were very close and beautiful. We are at the restaurant Dillons barbecue and that was amazing foods. Great service is wonderful! Definitely, I would recommend.
Richard Gonzales
I love talking my family here. This zoo is huge and has a lot of unique features. We enjoyed the show, the rides, and most of all, the animals. The park is huge, the staff is great, and the variety of animals will keep everyone entertained all day. Highly recommend this park!!!
Richard Robinson
I thought the animal enclosures were a bit small for most animals, but they enabled us to get much closer to the animals. The pathways are mostly dirt, or gravel, so your shoes are going to be very dusty when you leave. There are few amusement park style rides that take you past, over or through the exhibits. Bring cash and pocket change, so you can access the rides and buy feed for fish, ducks and other attractions. ATMs are available with a $3 fee. If you're looking for a San Diego zoo, or Brookfield Park zoo you're going to be disappointed. But it is a large park, and definitely worth the time and effort to visit. And we found discounted tickets through Groupon.
D M
I love coming here with the family. Especially right when the zoo opens. The new additions to the attractions are very nice. Be sure to bring a few dollars in quarters to feed some giraffe. If you really like birds, there are tons of them. During the most recent visit there were lots of baby and young animals around too! You can walk the whole park and see everything in a 3 or 4 hour day.
Diana Mitchell
We go a few times a year. It's well maintained, easy to navigate, not too much walking between exhibits. Individual rides are a bit pricey, but a great way to break up the day.
M Morgan (Morgue-N)
Ok I'm going to start off by saying that there were hardly any guests there at the time of our visit. It gave the park a creepy abandoned overgrown dusty feeling, that honestly I enjoyed. It was also nice to not have to really wait to see anything. I am sure that this was only due to the fact that it was so ridiculously hot. Please don't go to this zoo in the summer without a lot of water and probably some personal misters.
That being said, this zoo is enormous. Almost mind-blowingly so. We were there for 4 hours and still did not see everything. Two full sections of the park went unseen. You are very close to the animals. Which can be a little frightening and extremely exciting at the same time. The layout of the park is quite vast, I know that people are complaining about the animals being in small enclosures, but they do all seem to be well cared for.
The staff encounters we had were all pleasant experiences. The sea lion show was very fun not just for the kids but for the adults too. The rides were not really running, but again it was so hot and there were hardly any people there so that makes sense. We did not indulge in the dining so I have no opinions on that. But there were at least two options of places to get food on the premises.
The Phoenix zoo's population of animals is mostly aviary, and in contrast there was a much higher variety of species a World Wildlife Zoo. There was definitely an impressive amount of reptiles.
Spent a couple bucks and let the kids feed the stingrays while we pet them. My only complaint there would be that it would be nice if they had a couple of stools or something for the kids to stand on as they are far too small to reach over the tall ledge and into the pool. For reference my children are five and six and by no means short.
All around we had an unforgettable time, and I would definitely cough up the money to go again sometime, definitely in the winter.
If you are considering going here, please be sure to give yourself lots of time as there is a lot to see. Bring water with you, there are lots of drinking fountains available, and they are ice cold, but you'll want more. Check Groupon for deals because it is very expensive to go to this zoo. But I can also say, it's worth it.
Eileen L. Smith
I love the wild feel of this place. The enterance has huge bone shaped handles on massive doors. Two large macaws greet you from their tall overhead perch. There are wheel chairs and strollers available to rent. There are 2 gift shops filled with a great seleciton of overly cute suviners and books. My child had fun going into the fishtank inner dome and feel like he was really inside the fishtank.
The shows were nicely spaced out so we could get to them all. Only penguin feeding was dissapointing. It was not really a show.
You will be enchanted by all the peacocks runnning around the zoo. They sound like cats calling ouyt "Mee-yow!" There are many places to sit in the shade of the tall mature trees lining the paths of this zoo. Most of the pathways are gravel. the Sky Ride was totally worth it as you go over the grassy plains animals.
It is best to see the animals first because that end of the zoo closses first. The aquariums where you'll find the penguins, stinrays and monster fish is open til 7pm.
We were able to get our hands stamped for reentry into the zoo so I could go out and retreive my phone charger. The gift shops also allowed me to plug in my phone charger into their power outlets which allowed me to keep takng pictures of our adventures there.
We spent 9 hour here and we still didn't see everything. It's a great adventure.
Jana Sizemore
There were exhibits of fish, reptiles, seals, and wildlife. Was there for 4 hours and did not see all it. Nice gift shop. I was impressed. It cost $48.00 for the experience: It was well worth it.
Lori Seymour
Bigger than it looks. Very nice facility ✌🏻
Gary M
We had a fun time it's a very large wide open zoo lots of animals the price to enter for two was $70 because we had $10 coupon. it looks to be all the animals were taken care of very well The facilities could use a little better maintenance and cleaning but other than that it was a fun time.
Kelly Vizzini
My reason to go to animal parks like the Wildlife World Zoo is to give back to the animal beings that reside there by connecting with them via love and respect.
Wildlife World Zoo since I was there last has spread out much of there operations into specific animal groupings including Adventure Land, Safari, South American animals including llamas and native to Arizona species. I was able to see a tamarin carrying two babies on her back, a snapping turtle and a wallaby as shown in the pictures among others.
I went on a Friday morning which was lighter traffic-wise inside the park as well as it was a cooler morning.
David n Kathy Parmigiani
The prices from tickets to every item or attraction you see cost way too much. $4 for water in Arizona heat is crazy. The water attractions smell inside, not the normal smell you would expect in an aquarium. If you ask questions to most of the staff, good luck getting an answer that is correct or backed with knowledge.
Toni Monaco
Last time I was here was over 3 years ago. There is so much more now to see. Weather was amazing, lots of people but everyone waited patiently for their turn. Spending time with family here is a great memory.
Cristen Sanchez
My kids had a great time all the rides happen to be shut down when we went so that was a bummer but the place is pretty clean it's less crowded than the regular zoo so it just felt safer to let my kids walk a little bit ahead and look at things within my eyesight and then if I turned around for a second I wouldn't lose them. Can't wait to go back because it's so big we didn't even see probably half of it and we were there for hours.
Winona Syreini
Such a great zoo! There are so many rides, a chairlift that goes through the park, a water ride so you can cool off, and so much more. This is more expensive than the Phoenix zoo for a reason!! Worth it! Tons of cool animals, baby lions and Jaguars when we went(June 2021), you can feed the sting rays and all you have to pay for is the food. The employees don’t hover in the interactive exhibits which I loved. GREAT PLACE!
Clint Bosley
4 stars because we all had fun. Drinks weren't worth the price (flavor and watered down) got there in the morning and didn't finish. Would go back but bring our own drinks. Great alternative to the big big zoos!
AMBER HUNTER
The best zoo I have EVER been to! Hands down, beats San Diego. The variety of animals here is unbelievable. And we saw EVERY SINGLE ONE! The enclosures are set so that you cannot miss them. They all appeared happy, healthy and well cared for. Temp was around 70 when we went and they were all so active and interesting to watch. They have rides too, but at $6 per person, per ride, we just couldn’t swing it. No matter, we were there for the animals anyway. They may have an annual deal or something if you are local but we were just passing through town. So glad we stopped here. You will not be disappointed! Bring lots of quarters to feed the animals. Feeding the giraffes is the best! Hope we get to return sometime.
My kids are 5-8 and they walked the whole thing and never complained because they were thoroughly entertained by animals the whole time. We were there from about 10-2 and made it through the whole park. It was not crowded at all. Free parking. Check Groupon for deals!
Kenneth Davis
Amazing place I love it more every time I go!!
Daune Jaimes Diaz
Good for younger kids or animal crazy kids. We spent about 3 hours there and were able to see everything. I really liked how close the animals were, some only a few feet away. If you choose to feed the giraffe (.50 for about 20z of feed) be warned that thier tongues are slimy!
Daniel Hernandez
Absolutely loved it. I love how intimate the interaction was with the animals. The shows were entertaining and the rides were brief but fun. Also, the staff were friendly especially the keeper at the giraffe feeding tower.
Shi'Ann Bess
First time going with my kids and we had so much fun. A lot more to see and do compare to our usual trip to the Phoenix Zoo. It wasn't crowded and I love how everything is so open. Kids loved feeding the giraffe and the ducklings. Just make sure you have some loose quarters for the machine, if not I am sure one of the cashiers at one of the restaurants wouldn't mind as we had to ourselves.
Sean Engstrom
Best Zoo in Arizona! Sorry Phoenix Zoo your Christmas lights are great but Wildlife World Zoo has 6 miles of animals and rides for kids to keep them entertained. The best part is the sky ride that gives you a birds eye view of the animals and you can only see some animals if you ride it. The sky ride isn't as spectacular as the one at San Diego Zoo but it's still a lot fun. Plus you have a log flume ride that takes you in the aquarium. There is an cool little train ride that takes you through the animal enclosures and a whole safari section we haven't even seen yet this place is so big. Like I said before, best zoo in Arizona!
SRUTHI SASIDHARAN
One of the best Zoo's I've visited so far. Donot miss feeding the Giraffes . Kids will love it. With so many interactive animals. Try to plan on going during winter so it won't get too hot to explore the places inside. And it will easily take around 4- 5 hours. But we loved it ♥️
Pearl Thorn
Loved the zoo, it had been years since I was there. Very impressed with the cleanliness and condition of the property. The animals are all beautiful, can't wait to go back.
Jonathan Hernandez
First timer here, ended up coming here since the Phoenix Zoo was closing within the hour & boy did we get lucky! This place is HUGE!!!! Way bigger than the Phoenix Zoo & has a lot more variety of animals. We were only here for three hours & we only had a chance to visit 1/4 of the park- this place is huge! They have so many different sections & attractions. If you come out here, definitely come early & spend the whole day here to really take in the full experience. We will definitely be planning another trip back soon & this time we will come earlier.
M S
I had never been here before although living nearby for almost 20 years. I severely dislike seeing animals in captivity.
But... my wife wanted to go. So I
went.
While some of the animal enclosures seemed a bit small for their inhabitants and there is a severe lack of shade or anywhere for guests to get water during the hot summer months, I honestly enjoyed the experience here.
The staff were all wonderfully friendly, the exhibits were very well maintained and even though I am always hesitant about patronizing anyplace that cages animals for the amusement of humans, the animals looked content and well cared for.
I am amazed to actually say that I would happily come back here.
shana palmer
Such a unique and amazing experience!! The closeness is so unique here. Truly different from the traditional zoo experience. My kids were able to really appreciate the animals and the experiences. If we lived here we'd get a season pass. You could easily spend a day here. Gift shop offers nothing particularly special.
Kathleen Cortes Lopez
Went to celebrate my grandsons 4th birthday. He had a Wonderful time. All the park staff were extremely nice. We WILL be returning again. THANK YOU!!
Lakeysha DeLeon
This place is great. It can get a little expensive for a family of four, but it is often worth the money. The animals seem well cared for which is apparent in their “playful” personalities.
Jared Skelton
We went to eat at Dillons barbecue. It was really good food. I got the burnt ends and couldn’t finish it all. Lots of food for the cost. I really enjoyed it and we got to watch the sharks swimming in the tank near our table.
Chris Eichhorn
If visiting with kids this is a MUST. There is a train that takes you in some pens with animals amd guides you around a 1/4 of the zoo, a tram also does the same for another 1/4, and a sky lift that overlooks 1/2 the park. Kids can also pet and feed many animals including Giraffes!, deer, goats, chickens, fish, manta rays, and more. There are penguin feedings and sea lion shows as well as a baby animal nursery. We have been to many large zoos around the US and this was the most interactive and kid friendly. Very very highly suggest going. They do have food and drinks, but a little bit costly.
Jerry
Great zoo!! Lived here for 12 yrs and my first time at this zoo. Spent a good 5 hrs wandering the grounds. Well laid out . Animal exhibits very nice. Many with viewing towers . Looks like many new exhibits being built. Enjoyable experience.
Michael Sherman
I'm a native and have never been here before. I regret to have wasted some much of my time without going. You can tell they care about the animals, they have wide open spaces and is well maintained and clean. I loved seeing employees in scuba gear cleaning the aquariums and the other employees who were cleaning the other enclosures. The wide variety of animals here is amazing. I wish I had gone sooner. Worth the drive out there for sure.
Cindy Boomer
Large zoo with many exhibits. If the animals are in the mood they are fairly easy to see. If you plan to see all the exhibits set aside an entire day. It's worth it!
Jess Honig
This was a great place for grown ups, kids of Different ages, teens, and families. Variety of. animals with nice wide paths. Lots of restrooms and places to stop for beverages or snacks. Different animal shows available, a petting zoo, a chance to feed the giraffes or stingrays too. Several rides including a log water ride, high swings, sky ride, train & merry go round. Two gift shops. Carry some cash some of the snack bars are $ cash only.
Denise Carlquist
Wonderful! So much to see. So close to the animals.
S K
VERY crowded on the weekend and while expansively big overall, the small areas for many animals needed to be far greater in size. While new exhibits were being created, the entire place could benefit from an overhaul. (And it is next to the loud highway as well.) The children love it, which is nice, but there isn't social distancing in those places possible, with many more not wearing masks.
Kishore Rajaraman
We had a very good time here and kids loved the sea lion show and the Petting zoo. Safari train ride is not that good. Food options are limited. The rides were very good. You can spend a day !
.
Sarah Quintero
We had a lovely day at the park. The crowds were light. It did get warm, but, there is lots of shade and trees. Bring your own water and snacks. Food is kind of sparce, and they don't have much to choose from.
Michelle Mccullough
It was fun but got expensive quickly. Each ride is an extra 6 bucks each which adds up fast. To exit the zoo you have to go through gift shop and that was average gift shop prices. Drinks are 2 bucks for a can of soda and 4 for a bottle of water. Bring quarters if you plan to feed animals!
Matt Reed
Love this zoo/aquarium. Have not been in a while and they have expanded so much. Great wildlife show and an awesome Lory feeding experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bring some cash, lots of water and your walking shoes!!!
Update 1/30/2023
Still such an amazing zoo. So much to do and see. This time there were 7 adults and 7 kids so we rented a couple rideables to share. They are so much fun. A little more on the expensive side at about $20/hr, but we all alternated between adults and kids and it was completely worth it.
David -Dax Barton
I always love this place. Went here with my fiance and sister for my birthday. The lions, panthers, leopards, and tigers all come up to me, they are always personable. Take an umbrella and some change for the giraffes.
Rosalina
A wonderful conservation zoo! Beautiful animals, affordable rides, interesting aquarium features, and so much more!
It is handicap accessible too!
Military Discount!
Absolutely beautiful zoo!
Anthony Maiden
We absolutely loved the time we spent here. My daughter missed a day of school so we could make the trip. It isn't close to us unfortunately or we would inquire about season passes. It took us about 6 hours to tour the whole park. When we visited the roller coaster wasn't operational yet, but we got to enjoy the rest of the rides. I recommend the sky lift so you can see parts of the park you can't from the ground. I also recommend the log ride, and the otter show! We had such a total blast, and we can't wait to go back again!
Kristina Gomez
My favorite zoo in the Phoenix area! Large variety of animals, family entertainment such as rides that go through some of the animal encounters, interacting with the Stingrays, watching the shows. Dining with the flamingos or sharks.
Emily
We looooved visiting Wildlife World!! It was such a great experience! I highly recommend getting there in the morning, because the Howler monkeys were soooo active! We also enjoyed seeing a couple of the shows and feeding the Lories (which was actually terrifying for me, due to a fear of birds, but still a terrifyingly cool experience!)
Definitely plan to be there for several hours because the zoo is so big! Nice to see that the animals seem to be well taken care of. The upfront gate charge seemed a little expensive, but it was just such a great experience, and totally worth every penny spent getting in! We will definitely be returning!
Anthony R
Awesome zoo! This place is huge and has a lot to offer. Zoo, safari, and aquarium. Well worth the money and my opinion is best in AZ..tops Phoenix zoo and odyssey aquarium by a long shot.

We had a very nice time. You’ll spend at least four to five hours here if you try to see everything. There are a lot of birds here, there is an opportunity to feed some parakeets. That was an awesome experience, my son got a kick out of the birds landing on his head and shoulder. There are so many animals here. The aquarium was nice, there were so many exhibits, I’m not sure we saw everything. We got there about 1200 and left a bit after 1600.
Gerry Sanchez
Always great! Looks like they made some improvements since I was there last.
Elisabeth Pound
Clean, animals looked so comfortable and entertained. Shows are educational and interesting. You really see animals here, short walk between each enclosure, we were there 5 hours and saw almost the entire place. Many animals better than I'd ever seen before. We saw animals being fed and worked with, and enclosures being cleaned by keepers. Everywhere you looked there was a keeper or employee. Very neat place with lots of charm. They had a lot of other rides and attractions, but we did not try any of them. It was well worth the money and we would definitely go again.
Alicia Wright
Very large park with quite an array of very well taken care of animals. We spent 4 hours and only hit maybe 2/3 of the whole park, and that was without taking in any of the shows or rides. You could spend all day here and not do everything.
Looks like a couple more exhibits are being added in Spring 2020, so we'll definitely be back.
Rob Bellacera
WOW 😲 The place is huge. I spent almost four hours there. Will definitely return for part 2 to see even more. No way to see it all in one trip. Definitely a must see when in the area! …
Its. Ferna
This place was really fun! They have an extremely large variety of animals and lots of up close events where you can even interact with the animals. I love that they have both a zoo and an aquarium to give you a more in depth experience. This is a great place for kids. However, make sure to bring snacks and water due to the expensive prices they have on food.
Joseph Gambino
I enjoyed our trip to the Wildlife World Zoo. We went early in the morning when they opened at 9 and there were so few people we could explore the park and see the animals at our leisure. As the day warmed up we visited the aquarium to cool off and finished our trip with a visit to Dylan's BBQ for some good lunch. While not on the same level as larger zoos it was still an enjoyable experience with a wide variety of animals. Would visit again.
Naomi Hardy
Loved the animals and the rides have some amazing cheap prices. I will definitely bring my family here again.
D M
This Zoo has grown so much since we last visited. They've added more animals to include hippos rhinos baboons hyenas flamingos alligators a crocodile buffalos,,etc..How close you can get to these animals in their habitat is incredible!!! Unlike any other zoo including the Phoenix zoo which doesn't come close to this park!!!!!
They also have added a rollercoaster & Zipline since last visit..The Zipline was 10.00 a person being the most expensive ride..the rollercoaster 6 dollars a person...
It's entry fee was 75.00 for myself and my 5 year old grand daughter..Can't be cheap tho to feed the animals and pay employees to run the park plus bills so I honestly was ok with the prices...
Such a Wonderful place to take the family...plenty of shade thru out park...
Linda F
The good:
Large zoo, lots to see. Safari ride was fun and interesting. Well worth the $6.
The bad:
$48 each to get in! $6 for the short, boring train ride, another $6 for 1 minute tiny roller coaster.
Some of the habitats seemed small and cruel - reminiscent of the 1970s.
Kesia Brown
This place it’s amazing!! It’s huge a lot of animal interactions , me and my family had the best time there , definitely coming back soon .
Levi O
This place is really big and has so much to see. I had a great time here. There are a lot more animals here than the other zoo's in Phoenix. I was here for about 7 hours. I also tried the Dillon's Barbecue which was pretty good. We were able to watch this big fish tank with sharks in it while eating lunch. Really cool feature.
A M
Such a fun and cool experience. So many animals to see and enjoy. Absolutely loved it! We will be going back, didn't have enough time to see everything. So much to see, you definitely have to make this an all day thing if you take your time and see everything. Plus the bear wasn't out and some of the lions and tigers were sleeping by the time we got to them. I think there should be more staff "patrolling" as unfortunately you have punk kids teasing and being mean to the animals.
Matthew Stopard
The place is kept neat and clean, though there were signs that visitors were throwing garbage anywhere they wanted.
The animals appeared healthy and as content as they could be in captivity.
The zoo keepers were busy tending to their duties, but were polite and friendly to interact with.
Carrie Vovk
Wow, what a cool zoo! Loved our visit. Kids were worn out before we could see it all. Can’t wait to go back and see the rest! Best zoo I’ve ever been to!
Joe Lo & Co.
So I have to say that this might be one of the best Zoos I have ever visited. It's more on par with something like the San Diego Zoo than any other privately owned zoo that I've been to.
First of all, the price of admission is worth it. At first I felt the cost was a bit high, but after walking around the grounds - nearly 7 miles of walking without retracing a lot of my steps - there is a vast assortment of animals not commonly seen in other zoos. Having the opportunity to see a white rhino is worth the cost of admission alone. The displays are large but still very interactive.
We got to feed giraffes, and were lucky enough to stumble upon feeding time for the Lory Parrots, which was an amazing experience in and of itself. Such a great experience!
Concessions are thoughtfully spread about, so you're never too far from water, even if it costs a pretty penny. I recognize that the funds go back to taking care of the animals, so every penny is well-deserved.
There are birds, reptiles, fish, mammals, and more birds. There are tons of things to see.
Plan a whole day to make sure you get the most out of the experience and bring good walking shoes and your camera!
Bruce W
Over six thousand animals / creatures and hundreds of species. Wildlife park and aquarium...and before COVID also water flume ride. Train and air tram are still running and worth the extra cost. Outside beverages allowed, so bring /at least/ two bottles of water per person...one of each pair frozen so stays cold if going during the hot season. There's some shade, but lots of areas without. Bring sunscreen. Sunglasses recommended. Hats with brims helpful. The indoor exhibits are cooler, but then mask mandates make them warmer and lower in oxygen. Plus all indoor seating appears to have been removed. That is likely COVID compliant, but makes for a miserable experience and effective barriers for those with handicaps or physical challenges. If you are on a budget, eat before and after. Like all amusement parks and zoos and similar attractions, food vending is double or more than what you'll pay outside the place.

I’m a total animal lover. I was actually born on earth day and I care deeply for the planet and all of Gods creations. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than getting to encounter some wild animals. For my cons, I was a bit disappointed to see some areas of the park did close at certain times, certain animal encounters and what not. Also, very few shows seem to be happening, which is probably for the better considering our crazy heat. They had a log ride that seemed to be out of order or not running which I’m sure the kids would’ve enjoyed. The sky tram (I forgot the actual name) was a bit old but served its purpose, I just wish it had different stops, and took you to the front of the park.
The pros, the park is massive with animals to see at every turn. Being able to feed the giraffes was the most memorable thing to do without a doubt (bring quarters to buy the food), they’re beautiful. My second favorite thing to do was feed the animals in the small petting zoo that’s near the exit. The goats ran up to me soon as I entered the fenced in area and I got to feed some deer, again very memorable.
In closing, I feel every animal loving Arizona resident needs to visit the wildlife world zoo. Bring your kids and let them experience these beautiful majestic creatures and hopefully instill in them empathy and compassion for all animals.
Dominic Zito
Great place to visit! Lots of interaction with the animals. Wide variety of animals, birds and aquatic creatures. Tram and train rides are educational and provide a break from walking. Also have fun amusement park type rides. Shows are entertaining and educational. All in all a great way to spend the day with your family and children.
John Kocinski
Beautiful day exploring the zoo with the little one. Will be going back again!
Alejandra
My sons love this zoo. There is an abundance of animals. The zoo and the aquarium are big, It took us 4/5 hours to get through it all (including rides).
Starshine94
Always love coming here. The Dillons restaurant has increased their food quality over the years and is pretty great to eat now! Highly recommend this place.
Anthony Valdivia
So much fun. Wasn't too hot. Most of the animals were out. Even saw an adult tarantula of the sling I have now. Was not overly priced either.
Khera Douglass
My very favorite zoo. So many activities packed in to one place! You can feed the stingrays, giraffes, sea lions and penguins. And I love that they educate as well. They have rides, an aquarium, the petting zoo is right next to the playground. Great place for children of all ages or just to spend the day on your own.
Maverick D23
This is the best zoo experience ever. More interaction with animals than any zoo I have ever been to. The rides are worth there $6 charge. The petting zoo is great for the kids and giraffes...... come on. Fees them with the $.50 you use in the little vending machines. Will definitely be going back. Take the safari ride. Worth every penny and take lots of quarters to feed all the fish and animals they allow you too. Never going to find a zoo like this and I have been to a lot of them.
Robert Plourde
For a zoo in the country, it's quite the surprise. The smaller birds in the cages were hard to see through the cages but over all it's a nice zoo and the staff is friendly. You can even feed the giraffe's if you want to
Maria Felix
Awesome zoo experience. Real close to animals, plenty of feeding experiences. If you want to do it all in one day be sure to get there early and have your walking shoes, water and snacks.
Phillip Velez
Great place to take your toddlers. The staff was very friendly and the shows were exciting to watch for myself and children. Lots to see and plan a whole day around. Bring cash for the rides and get change to buy feed for the animals. There is even a jungle gym play area by the petting zoo. The only downside is not being able to bring your own food. Water and food are way over priced and will cost you more then the entry fee to the zoo. If you eat lunch and dinner.
Lisa Biggie
Overall good experience! They have many types of animals and a lot of them were active and curious! They also have a nice layout with kid friendly features like train ride, petting zoo, playground. However, some of the larger animals had small space with no enrichment (lions, jaguar, sea lions), the aquarium info signs were missing species, and the food stands closed early.
Definitely less walking required than the Phoenix Zoo, and great for kids. However, the Phoenix Zoo seemed to have better enclosures for the animals' quality of life, with the exception of their camel rides.
Arek Jensen (arjensen13)
This park was an amazing experience for me and for the whole family! Their financial expense is on the high side (especially food and drinks), but the money spent is to care for all of the animals, so it was totally worth every penny.
Peter Sahhar
Awesome. What a great place/zoo with an on-site BBQ restaurant Dillons. Took my 11month old son there last week with my wife. It almost feels like you can do whatever you want there. I say this because there's not many workers bothering you. You can feed the giraffes see lions up close and all the animals you'd see at a zoo. We're probably going to buy the yearly pass. Excellent place and take some time to spend near the birds. The trees are beautiful and have to be 70 years old. It looks like old phoenix with the landscape u cannot find many places like this. Simply wonderful
David Triwood
Love this Zoo. Bigger and better the Phoenix zoo. All the animals were very active last time we went. My 5yr daughter loved the log ride as well.
Heather Stefan
Wildlife World Zoo in Phoenix is much more than a zoo. It's also an aquarium, safari park and amusement park.
Fun time to behaved by people of all ages.
Plus I feel like you get a closer encounter with the animals that you don't get from other zoos.
Danielle Swisher
Very nice zoo...love seeing all the animals pretty close. They seem content and comfortable. The big cat and many of the animals are on grass and all can find shade. Great variety of sea mammals and other sea life. A few nice rides, good for small children as well as parents. The giraffes can be visited and fed any time of day. We loved doing that😊
Mandy S.
Always love coming here! While it is a bit expensive in my opinion we do enjoy our visits. With our AAA discount it was still 120.00 for 2 adults and 1 teenager! I enjoy all the monkeys, the sea lion show and always feeding the giraffes! I also enjoyed the comedic reactions of parents as two sets of turtles celebrated Valentines Day LOL Nature at its finest! lol We had a great day and after 4 and a half hours still did not see everything! Bring your walking shoes for sure!
Amy Dempsey
Wildlife world zoo is my favorite zoo. They are always updating and bringing in new enclosures. We always have something to look forward to. Thank you for being a great zoo.
Anastasia Sayre
I don't like zoos in general, they usually make me feel sad. But this great zoo is an excellent exception! It's so spacious that you can see that the animals actually do feel good there and the amazing staff totally dedicated to what they do, taking such a great care of all the inhabitants. Our favorite activities are the sky ride, giraffe and Lori feedings. Also we enjoy to talk to big parrots around the zoo, they are everywhere and they are so funny when they say you something back.
Becky Fronheiser
Great environment. Family friendly. Bring a cooler and pack drinks and lunch. Sky Ride and Safari ride are $6 per person per ride. Go to Groupon for discount tickets
Kaylin Mccabe
Such an amazing zoo!! You can just tell the animals are loved by the staff. You get to see them up closer than any other zoo I have been to! Be sure to plan a full day there, so much to see and do! Bring cash for the little cafés, they don't take cards.
Erin Forrest
WWZA is fantastic. Such a wonderful place for kids and adults. We spent 6 hours there today and still didn't see everything! My son's (5 yo) favorite was the penguins. I loved the giraffs.
Merrill Madsen
I wasn't sure what to expect for our class field trip here and I was impressed! I like the ambience - less pavement and more dirt trails and palm trees. They have cool big animals like the tigers (and a white one!), lions, rhinos, cheetas, giraffes, etc. We also got to see the adorable new baby jackals (the baby animal exhibit was a fun surprise!). They also have a fun play area, a "ski lift", train, and the petting zoo was a big hit.
They have construction going on (watch out for the equipment) and they'll be getting 10 new species in 2020 in their African Safari exhibit.
Definitely looking forward to going back with the whole family.
Charles Mckinney
Best zoo on AZ. Animals are well taken care of. Make sure you stop & eat at Dillons BBQ. Makes for a great day out
J Wright
Prepare to walk, but it's worth it. I honestly didn't know what to expect in regards to the size of the zoo. After four hours of walking and backtracking, I learned how big it was. There are some great animal exhibits and a few that are a little small. Overall you won't be disappointed. The giraffe exhibit was great along with several others. My advice, wear some good walking shoes and enjoy the animals.
Jeffrey State
What can we say we love this place. You can get up and close to the animals. In all the times we have visited we have always seen something new. They continue to grow and offer a great and educational experience. Price is high but so is the normal zoo, but like a zoo get a membership. Get there early there is a lot to see and adding more. Oh and never pet the panther.
Aaron J. Peve
It's a great place to be close to the animals. But not too close. Almost like you can reach out and touch them. But please don't touch the animals.
P.S. for those that do it, lots of Poké-Stops!
Jacob Kettle
Great experience. Spent about five hours inside and still didn’t see everything. Fed giraffes and birds. We will be going again
Jaime Vogt
Came on what I hear was a rare crowded day. Mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, we got amazing sightings of fabulous animals I’ve never seen before. However I did not approve of the exotic animal breeding, and I think the animals could have had habitats more suited to their needs.
Khoa Nguyen
The tickets are expensive, but it's worth the visit. I personally like it a little bit better than Phoenix zoo. This place has a wide variety of animals especially aquariums and fish. I really enjoyed the huge reef tanks. Went with sister and cousins and we all had great time.
Carolina Pahl
This is a ginormous zoo. Stayed about 4.5 hours and probably still had stuff to do. Admission is about 40$ for adults. There are a lot of animals and their aquarium is very nice too. Their train ride is fun and so is the sky ride. Their petting zoo is pretty fun. The baby goats jump on everything and head butt you when you're not giving them food. Good place to spend the day with lots to do for adults and kids.
Yanet Rodriguez Labrador
We had a great time. Good variety of animals that look well cared for. The place is clean, except for the restrooms.
Amanda Lutha
This is a nice zoo with lots of different animals. The zoo is huge so plan on being there for a while. There is some shade and there are benches to sit on in the newer parts of the zoo. It’s not paved so you are walking mostly on dirt. The new exhibits are nice, the older ones are mostly chainlink enclosures. There are a few restaurants inside and there are a few picnic tables if you brought your own lunch. There is a playground and a petting zoo. There are also a few carnival-type rides. The aquarium area is nice. It’s pretty expensive, $40 for an adult, so check Groupon first because tickets are usually on sale there.
Liz Medina
Haven't been here in 20 years and brought my kids for the first time.Still love it.Maybe all the snack stations could offer the same food, though? One only had hot dogs, popcorn, etc while other had a larger menu, but a longer line. But we had so much fun!!
jamie j
Coast to get in is a little steep. The Zoo it's self was so much fun and there is so much to do . Wish there were more people that work at the zoo out and about to answer question and guide people. But this is a great place over all to bring the family for fun and adventure. I have taken my child twice and my mother once and we had the best time . Great exercise also.
Angelina “Angie T” Tautimer Kova L
We had a wonderful time. Not too busy! Very relaxing walking around checking out the wildlife. I really like the way the exhibits are setup. We even took a break an had a nice lunch at Dillon's BBQ, which is always a treat. Beats the Phoenix Zoo any day!
EJ GO
Loved going to this zoo, it was an all day experience if you want to look at everything. We started at 11am and left at 5:30pm. Almost all the animals were out and about, which was great. Because of the weather it is muddy, but didn't affect anything. On a Sunday it wasn't very crowded, which was great, was able to take the pictures I wanted and do things without being rushed, or feeling overcrowded. Great experience, animals were beautiful.
J J
Great zoo tons of animals the aquarium is great the animals look well taken care of. Its a great place to take kids be prepared to walk around for hours there is a lot to see and takes most of the day to see them.
Laura Soltes
This is a wonderful place to spend a Saturday. You can see all the animals easily. The aquariums are awesome . There is also a zip line which last a total of 30 seconds for$15. There are about 8 rides from carousel to train ride, super high swings . Each ride cost money . Ranging from $5 to $15. Tickets are$ 21 for children 4 and up . Adult tickets are $41. Pretty pricey i thought. The over all experience was good. There is a lot of shade but don't forget your sunscreen . There is a restaurant called Dylans BBQ. Food is good. You can also find a couple of other places inside the zoo to eat at . It does say at entrance no outside food or drinks but we had no problems bring in our H20 bottles .
Kenneth Hof
Great place. Kids enjoyed the exhibits and ride's
Eddy Zuazo
I really enjoyed my time here. There is a lot to see and would need the whole day to really appreciate every exhibit. Sun screen is a must if you go as you'll be waking outside for most of the visit.
Mike Thieu
Had an amazing time the park wasn't too packed everyone was wearing face mask, staff was friendly, the rides were super fun and geared towards family, there are lots of walking involved so being water and good walking shoes. I would most definitely bring my wife and kids here again.
Kayla Martinez
I enjoyed my time at the zoo today with my family. Spacious enough to practice safe social distancing during this time. Will definitely be back!
Vicky Hernandez
Love this place, so much to see. We get annual passes, my 2 year old loves it. The staff is always friendly.
Alicia Inez
It's a nice and big zoo. Lots of walking so if you have small kids make sure to bring a stroller. The prices inside are waaaaay high, really overpriced. We only bought a corn dog and paid 5.50 for it. We liked our time feeding the giraffes. Aquarium gets boring. The ride in the little train was so short not worth the price. Overall the zoo installations and the animals and activities we liked, its just that its so expensive!
Erin Law
A bit pricey, but totally worth it & the place is huge, so you can spend all day there. There are lots of extra paid attractions as well, but remember the attractions only accept cash. The train ride is a must, very cool & knowledgeable guides. This place has the most hands on interactions with the animals that I've been to. I recommend this place for families, dates or just to hang out with your friends.
Michael Woods
We went during the weekday in august at about 9am when they opened it was 88° good. Ews was there was about 6 other patrons in the entire park. Me my wife and 15m basically had the place to ourself. We were able to get thru about half the park by 11 and it broke 100° so we headed for the aquarium. Not much shade, and they could use alot more areas with misters. We brought our own lunch but they dont let you eat their cafe areas, whichbare like snack bars at sport events. They also take cash only. So we had to eat outside in the heat.
Also after paying 80$ for two people they also charge 5-6$ per train/trolly. 2 people could easily spend 150$ on entrance food and rides.
The aquarium was awesome tho. Cool, indoors. That. Being said 90% of the animals were out and about, lots of interactions up close, my daughter loved it.
3 hours wasnt enough to see everything, but I was more than ready to head out.
Anissa Rivera
So much fun! We spent all day there and still didn't see everything. The concession food is terrible though, bring your own if you can.
Ashley Antill
This is one of the absolute best zoos in Arizona. You get up close and personal with so many animals. It's a cash only zoo so I'd plan on eating or riding any of the rides makes sure you bring some. They do have ATMs on site too and pricing is actually very reasonable. We go a couple times a year and it's always fantastic.
Jessica James
The zoo animals and grounds get 4 stars. There are some great exhibits and the grounds are very spacious. I have never had visit where it felt too crowded or busy.
The Aquarium gets 5 stars.
The food at the cafes get 1 star. It's way overpriced and not good. (Dillions is great, but that's separate).
The restrooms get 3.
The rides get 3 stars because they are insanely overpriced. Why don't they sell a ride package or bracelet?
This place is very expensive. Adults are $39.99. If you were to ride all 10 rides that's an extra $65.50 per person! All together that's $105.49, not including tax. That's the cost of a Disneyland ticket, and Disneyland has a ton more rides and entertainment. The cost of the children's rides should at least be less, a parent shouldn't have to pay so much to ride along with their kids. I always enjoyed this zoo much more than the Phoenix Zoo due to its unique animals and the fact that even when the parking lot is packed it never feels crowded. I use to come here often when I had only one child, but now that I have two more it's just too expensive to visit more than once every other year or so.
Faith Heim
Wonderful day. Enjoyed very much. No crowds. See animals up close and not in artificially designed environment. Tram was the best. Train fun. Didn't ride other rides. Lots of parking in 2 lots. Worth the price.
Janine Tryban
Really nice variety of animals. The zoo is very clean and the animal enclosures are spacious with lots of enrichment. It's quite large as well. We were there over 5 hours and didn't do and see everything.
Deborah Haynes
The admission is ridiculous. It should be half what they charge. Where were the elephants or the gorillas? Were they hiding? The lions and giraffes enclosures are the only sites worth viewing. You can feed the giraffes. That was our highlight. The aquarium is OK.
dorothy becker
You expect to see so much but sad you don't cuz the animals were not there or closed. Walked forever to get to the restaurant only to see it closed down. Lacking so much.needs needs more excitement!
Anna Meltzer
Animals were active! The whole zoo was a little run down. A snake exhibit was open when I went and they said it is meant to be like that
MOTM
Had an excellent time at the Wildlife World Zoo on Saturday! The park is HUGE, there is so much to see and do here they even have rides, a lifts and a petting zoo. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and a sun hat. My group of friends was there for the whole day exploring and we still have to go back to see everything. Word to the wise: Bring Cash. They don't accept card in the park and bring quarters so you can feed the animals with feed from their dispensers. Also maybe some wet wipes if you feed the giraffes because they can be a little slobbery ;P
B Huff
Old school feel. You get to be really close to the animals. Tons to see.
Our 4 and 6 year olds loved it! Great little shows with some fun interaction with the animals!
So much fun!
HIGHLY recommend.
Miva
I had a wonderful time in this Zoo. It wasn't crowded, the animals looked and sounded happy and healthy. Prices for food and drinks at the cafes were too spendy for me. There weren't any food options for me anyway and the only beverage I could have was water, so I didn't get to eat while here. I enjoyed the flight paths for the finch cages. I loved the variety of birds. This is a big zoo, bigger than I expected. I enjoyed seeing the different animals and the habitats. The only babies in the animal nursery were turtles, but they were still super tiny and cute. The otters greeted me with noises and looked so adorable. Feeding the giraffe was an experience! The sea lions were playing with a stick under the water. It was pretty entertaining to watch. The fish tanks and displays were clean and entertaining as well. I spent a good 3 hours wondering around and enjoying the animals. They were all wonderful models as well; I took a lot if pictures. There were rides and a playground for kids to enjoy. The train looked interesting, as did the skylift that helps with transportation from one end of the Zoo to the other. I didn't take either and enjoyed the exercise. This is absolutely on my "must visit again" list.
Natalie Gaudino
Over $40 per person to get in. In my opinion, not worth it. Way too much walking required and almost no food options. Don't go hungry, perhaps bring your own food. Rides we're all closed too. No vegan options other than fries. Very dissatisfied. Go to Phoenix Zoo for half the price instead.
Dan Z
This place is so huge plan for several hours to see everything they have! Everything was clean and easy to navigate. I suggest taking the tram ride for the upper part of the zoo. The aquarium was a nice touch to see as well!
Danielle Copeland
A bit pricey, I live in St. Louis with a free zoo. Loved the aquarium. The zoo was nice but the animals seemed tired. Great scenery and it was the first time I saw a playground at the zoo which my daughter loved. Well trained birds.
Christine Brown
We had such a great time during our visit, my favorite part was feeding the birds. This place is really big with rides for the kids and plenty for them to look at. I suggest you bring strollers for the little ones. Positive experience is definitely a 5 stars but I gave it 3 stars because it was a very hot day and the vending machines were all sold out in the back of the park and all cafes were closed except for the ones in the very front of the park so either bring your own water or swallow your spit until you get back to the front.
Karen Edwards
This place was a blast, we took our 6 year old granddaughter for making honor roll, the weather was beautiful and the staff we all very friendly ,the park was clean. You could interact with some of the animals. My granddaughter had the time of her life. I highly recommend this place to everybody. Just another note i notice the zoo is very handicap friendly.
S. Brent Lee
Awesome Zoo. One of my favorites. We go all the time, don't miss it. It's well worth it. I'll let my pictures speak for themselves :-)
Chelcie Allen
My children and I had a great time. Now it is a little bit pricey, but worth it. Now what you need to know, the entire park is cash only except the gift shop, however they do have atms. Also bring like 5 dollars in quarters so you can feed the animals. I hope you enjoy, I know I did.
Coleman Anderson
I love this small town zoo. It has such a nice collection of happy and healthy animals. They are still adding new additions which is great. The aquarium has some of the largest Discus fish I have ever seen. My favorite fish and shows they know what they are doing. There were a few school groups but still didn't feel crowded. Lots of room to walk about. Also the baby nursery is an amazing concept and loved the cute lion cubs.
dong yimin
Very nice place, providing everything our kids love. The safari trip, the sky ride and even sjows in the aquarium. Dillion's BBQ in the zoo offers fish viewing while having our meals.
Tatiana Moody
This is a great Zoo to go to if you don't want to go to the bigger cities. This is more than enough I love the difference between the aquarium and The Wildlife Zoo. I took my son for his birthday got the tickets off of Groupon for a few dollars off. They weren't very crowded great staff very clean
Stephanie Geatches
We LOVE this zoo. It's honestly the best I've ever been to. I bring everyone here when they come to visit. The animals are always available to see and there are so many different exhibits. We bought a membership because we were visiting so frequently. It's definitely worth the money. Always search for a Groupon before you go, though.
Natasha Cline
Love the fishies and other animals. Great zoo. Much good family time gets spent here. Year long membership served us well so far as our daughter can't get enough of the aquarium. Staff is knowledgeable and excellent. Be brave! Stay wild!
Eric England
What a cool place to visit in the West Valley. I was amazed to find out that this location even existed. The animals here are well maintained and the people working are super friendly. Tell them I sent you. #thepuddingcreektrestle
Jazmin C
My husband and I had a wonderful time here for Valentine's day! We got our tickets on Groupon. It was not a huge savings, just a couple bucks. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. Especially, when we had the chance to feed the birds!
Transactions - The JAY PATEL Group
Phenomenal! We have been going to the WWZ for 10 years now and love it. The changes are always positive. Can't wait for a zoo app and a punch card for the rides. I would buy a punch card for $24 if I got five rides....one free! Just my thoughts.

I felt like a kid again. The Zoo was well laid out. It's kinda pricey compared to the Phoenix Zoo. But it well worth it.
Chris Day
There was much more to do than I expected, I can't type it all! Feel free to talk to all the birds, many are owner surrenders & are very chatty. You can wander with the kangaroos, feed the giraffes, & enjoy seeing all the other amazing animals that call the zoo home.
Karen Williams Fry-Berger
Well cared for animals, very clean, well maintained park. The animal petting area is large and near the children play ground. They have a number of thrilling rides, best was the zip line! Wear comfortable shoes! They have stroller and wheelchair rentals. Be sure to visit inside aquariums, with sealife tunnel, cool.
Cons, they need the sky ride and the train ride to be redesigned to transport guest to the back or all around the park to bring you back to one of the entrances. Bring cash for the rides and quarters for animal feed, cards not accepted.
Gabrielle DiPatri
My daughter and I had a great time here. Definitely worth one trip, my only complaint is that anything other than looking at the animals cost extra $$. It was $6 per person for a train ride, $6 per person for the Safari ride, etc. The staff was friendly and we loved seeing the baby animals in the nursery!
Shalee Crudo
Great zoo...in my opinion a better experience than the Phoenix Zoo. It costs just 50 cents to feed the giraffes and ducks. The enclosures are nice, a lot of unique animals, and there is plenty to see in the aquarium. Just know that all of the establishments only take cash, although there are ATMs everywhere. Bathrooms are clean and the place is spread out so far that it never felt crowded. A must see if visiting...or a great way to spend a day with the family.

Visited while vacationing. I've been to a lot of zoo's across the country and this is a nice one. Much larger than expected and we were unable to see all of it in a single afternoon. Gives reason to return :) The variety of animals was more than expected - especially the birds! The "adventures" that went along with the zoo were great: a log ride, overhead sky ride, train rides etc. The aquarium and sea lion show was fun and unexpected so far from any ocean. The enclosures seemed adequate and the animals appeared well cared for and content. Highly recommended.

Kids love the petting zoo. Love the little touching pools in the aquarium. Has rides and a water ride. Plenty of animals to see, unfortunately no elephants.lol Great place to have a good time with the family. It is a little expensive but what zoo isn't? They have some little places to eat in the zoo, but I would recommend the bbq place right next door.
Jon Dean
One of the best zoos I've ever been to. Can get close to a lot of animals and most were very active.
Michelle Ramirez
In my opinion the Wildlife World zoo beats Phoenix Zoo hands down. No added cost to feed the parrots or touch the sting rays. There are areas to feed certain animals, including the giraffes for .50 cents, so bring your quarters!
There are rides here, a train, zip line, carousel to name a few that are extra money. The carousel ride is $3.50 but if you stand by your child it's free. Food prices in the park are good too.
It is on dirt, not concrete paths and I actually liked that.
We spent five hours here and didn't see all the park.
So much fun!
Joel White
Always excellent, being going here since I was a little one and it's gotten so big! Tons of exhibits and it's laid out pretty well. Multiple places to eat on the ground and having many water fountains throughout the park is a plus. Well made and we'll be back next visit!
Valerie Paine
Our family just visited the zoo. It's wonderful- lots of shade and wide walking paths. You can get very close to the animals. Our grandson loved feeding the ducks and giraffe.
Stuart R
We love this Zoo. So many more Animals with much better habitats than the Phx Zoo. Love the Africa area and the aquarium is very nice. My daughter always gets so excited to come here. However the cost of entry is very high! 40.00 per adult and 20.00 per kid. Then every ride is additional 6.00 per person and food is also very pricey with no healthy options, only junk food. With so many reviews saying the same thing, it is hard to see why management doesn't make some changes. Either they don't read these reviews or maybe just don't care. Also might want to invest in facility repairs like bathrooms (see picture) and also fix the large screws that stick out of the decking throughout the park.
Kirsten Olshefsky
Wonderful zoo. The Safari park addition is worth the trip alone. You can feed many animals and enjoy close encounters with some. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Definitely go right when it opens if you're going in the summer to beat the heat and crowd.
Michelle Cortez
This is such an awesome place to go for some good ol' family fun! You walk in to a clean and friendly enviorment that remains that way through out your visit. They offer, depending on the day, certain animal shows (like sea lions) that are free for your family's enjoyment. The bird feeding brought lots of smiles to our faces! This is a place that you have to plan to stay the entire day if you want to see everything that they have. With train rides, baby animals, and different themed aquariums that won't be hard to do!
Marsha Lance
We loved this place. There was something to look at everywhere you turned. The access to the animals was awesome.
I thought the admission was expensive before I entered, BUT the park is huge. And you can use Groupon for a discount or go to the internet and look for a dollars off coupon. Worth every penny.
It was not crowded because we went mid week which was a good choice.
Motorhead
For as much as the tickets cost, it's a little disappointing that the tram, the train, and many other rides and attractions cost additional money. Nearly $40 per person admission fee is a little steep for this particular park. Many of the more interesting exhibits (tigers, rhinos, ect) are difficult to see through the foliage.
It's still a fun day out, and will take you almost a whole day to experience everything this place now has to offer with all of the expansions to the park. The train and tram will allow you get a better view and experience so I recommend them.
Ebony McCray
My four year old daughter loved the giraffe feeding area! The whole zoo was awesome! We went on the log ride at the beginning and it kept cool for the remaining time! We will have to visit again!
Kachina Wolfe
Portions are HUGE! They are not kidding with the Brontosaurus Ribs! Super good, super clean place, great for families. Everyone loved it there. The Shark tank is awesome to look at while you are eating, or you can sit outside and watch the flamingos!
Carrieonn
Great weather and perfect time to be outside. All the animals were out to see and some animals you can feed. I would suggest getting a coupon to save $$
Cheressa Cargill
This place is huge. I got an annual pass and have been 3 times and still have not seen / done all this conservation has to offer! I love how close you can get to the animals and the rides are fun. There is a log flume for those especially hot days. The animals are all very well cared for here and safe.
Sara Esqueda
So much fun! Amazing animals and great hands on discovery. We will have to come back we couldn’t see it all in one day. Try to find a coupon or Groupon to get in - it’s expensive for a zoo. In addition - if you pay $40 to get in you shouldn’t have to pay $6 each to ride a train or a tram or a ride.
Whaatever P
So AWESOME!! Up close to all the animals. They have this setup so well but be prepared, we walked 5.5 hours and still did not see everything. Sooo many babies right now and easy to see. Can't wait for the other enclosures to be completed. Since the day they opened to current..best ever!! You can tell the animals are well taken care of and lack for no attention. As always...GREAT ZOO AND STAFF!!
Melanie Musica
Ok. This has been nothing but amazing and fun. The exhibits are amazing and there is a huge variety of animals. Honestly I thought this zoo was small but no sir! Josh at the rides made our day. He deserves a raise! Honestly its worth walking 80 miles just to go see him at the Family Coaster. You the man Josh!

Awesome place full of animals. Alot of spider monkeys. The lions and tigers were my favorite! The train and tram tours were great. Most rides were closed and on this windy day it was dusty. There was one concession stand open and is a CASH ONLY place. We will be better prepared with cash and I hope more rides are open next time. We had a great day overall.

This is a great zoo. So many animals to see and lots of fun stuff to do. Would highly recommend spending the day here. Lots of trees for shade and the place is so big it never really feels too crowded.
Meaghan Powell
A beautiful zoo and friendly staff that seem to really love the animals and their job. Can’t wait to come back again!
Gina Day
Always an adventure!!! New exhibits and very interactive zoo. Kids got the full hands on experience.
Lisa-Raquel Baines
We LOVE the Wildlife Zoo! Try to visit at least once a year. Great bird/animal park and great aquarium!
Cindy Smith
Nice day, most of the animals were out and about. Love the peacocks wandering the park screaming at each other. Lol
Jojo Coleman
What an amazing place this is!! While most of the animals were sleeping away the afternoon the ones that were awake were spectacular! The aquarium was my favorite, feeding and petting the stingrays, I think they were stingrays, was the absolute coolest! Staff and other guests were all so friendly and even in the heat of the day the mood was fabulous! Highly recommend for families and kids of all ages! Great way to learn to respect the beauty in all the creatures in this big beautiful world!!

My family has been coming here for 10+ years. I enjoy WWZ so much more than the Phoenix zoo. Animals are easier to see. I fed the sea lions, it was a great experience.
Madeline Wilson
Interesting zoo like atmosphere. They also have rides, shows and spots to spend time indoor at aquarium and covered areas during an Arizona (hot) day. The white tiger was not as impressive as photos the advertise. Kids had a lot of fun.
John Greenawalt
It's a nice place to go. But it's very expensive to get in $39 a piece for adults. $20 for a child. And then once you're in the park. You still have to pay to go on the rides. Which is a little disappointing considering how much you pay to get in. Not to mention the food was overpriced as well
Kim R
Great day at the zoo!!! Bring quarters for feed. And prepare to get your shoes dusty. Not all paths are paved. Our family enjoyed the whole place.
Lil Honey's World
We had a wonderful day here. Get the Groupon! Totally worth it. I liked the 🦩🦩🦩

I took my 23 year old son and it is I can say I didn't want to leave, and oh boy you better wear your walking shoes I loved it
Rebecca Hubbard (Beckatherecka36)
The animals were out and about and the splash ride was a great relief. It looks like new exhibits and upgrades to existing exhibits are in the works. I'm excited to see how these turn out. Head over to Dillons for BBQ afterwards.
Joshua Smith
What a great zoo! I like how close you are to all the animals. The chairlift that goes over the zoo was one of my favorite things. My kids loved the log ride there too. I also really liked all the facts about the animals all over too. They had peacocks just out walking around too.
Wendla Oldaker
This is a work in progress. It has a lot of rescue animals and this is admirable. I am impressed with the newer side and the tram ride. The driver was amazing.
However, the old side made us want to leave and call to have the place closed. Several of the large cat cages were floaded. Deplorable would best describe these animals living conditions. Tell us what to do to help them out. We made a donation but are really upset.
The animals on the tram ride seemed like they were at a different zoo.
Just a few photos that came out toshow goid and bad.
Roger Howell
I liked it. However, it seemed like the people there were a bit to tight. They weren't relaxed or seeming like they were having fun. Well, most of them anyway. Obviously, it was a bit pricy, that's just how WWW is. I would suggest doing the Wildlife interactions, it didn't cost anything and was better than other areas as well. Just keep in mind that this isn't Sea World. It's just a cool and large zoo. Overall it was fun and entertaining.

Always a fun filled family time when we come here! 🤜🏾🤛🏾We come from Tucson as often as we can to spend the day here taking in ALL the cool and interesting animals. There are so many awesome activities to do here, from many hands on things to great educational experiences. 👍🏾👍🏾This place has grown soo much since the last time we were here, but it kept our attention well over 4 hours of fun. Wildlife world Zoo & Aquarium is most definitely recommended! 🤗

Been an annual pass holder for a couple years now and still enjoy going here at least twice a month. Our first visit, one of the kangaroos came up and smelled our hands, which guaranteed that we would be back. :) The whole experience is a bit more intimate than the Phoenix Zoo. Great to have the restaurant and aquarium onsite as well. The zoo food is just as zoo food would be, but Dillon's is great! I just wish the train went all around the park.
Hike The PNW
This was the second time I have been to this zoo and it was just as good as the first. They are expanding alot of the areas which was great to see. Overall a worth it time with the amount of animals and the cleanliness of the grounds.!
Gary Sidora
This is a wonderful place for a family trip! It's great having a place like this on the west side of the valley!
courts pryce
Lots of dirt so don't wear sandals or any shoes you care about. Questioning why small animals have such a large habitat but larger running types were in smaller cages. Very puzzling. The zoo map was not accurate, which wasted time. We were there on a school field trip so we only had a few hours and tried to map our journey accordingly.. missed a few sections because of the map. There is plenty to see and enjoy but the add on rides are quite costly and makes for an unfun day having to keep telling your children no. Rides were 6-15 dollars each. Not cheap on top of the zoo admission which is not cheap.
Chris Kraft
We spent a few hours there during our trip to Goodyear. It was fun. They had a good variety of animals and stuff to do.. feed giraffes, pet the sting rays, safari tram. We got there around 9 on Sunday and beat the crowd. Overall, excellent visit.
Cory Gant
My wife and I enjoyed walking around the aquarium and world zoo. There is a lot to see and explore.
hunter stewart
This was just an overall fun experience for our little family. It was just incredible! There were so many sections to go visit. We only made it 2/3's of the way thru the entire zoo. It's nice that they have plenty of inside exhibits as well in the arizona heat. Food was a bit pricey but hey it's a zoo. Would recommend to anyone new or anyone looking to have a whole day of fun!

Awesome place to visit with kids.
Make sure you check groupon or valpak handy coupons we can get 5-10 $ discount per ticket.
We enjoyed parrot feeding, visiting animals freely roaming deers, peacocks etc.

This is for animal lovers and conservationists. The zoo has a wide range of animals. The bird collection is amazing especially if you like Macaws, they are scattered all over the zoo. There are also interesting aquarium buildings.
Great place to go if you are just visiting or are a local. Highlights are feeding the Beautiful Giraffes and touching the stingrays (only with 2 fingers please).
This is not as grand as the Phoenix zoo but has a more local homey feel. Be sure to wear closed-toed comfortable walking shoes since most of the paths are firm sandy surfaces.
Rivka Bar-Chaim
It was enjoyable, but probably would have been a better trip in the winter. It gets hot, but there were a lot of indoor air conditioned spots throughout. There was also a wonderful variety of animals. I was only upset about the price, it was expensive just to pay the entrance fee, but there were also a lot of other exhibits throughout that cost $6 per attraction. They also had a pretty cool gift shop, and nice restrooms.
ALFREDO PACHECO
We only went into the restaurant for lunch. Food was good and the view was great. Our table was next to a big shark tank.
Caleb Mauldin
I really enjoyed the Wildlife World Zoo! The setup puts you closer to the animals than say the Phoenix Zoo. The rides were affordable ($6 per person) and the food prices weren't inflated too badly.
THIS PLACE IS GIANT. Be prepared to walk a lot but there are several places to sit down along the way. I enjoyed the extra space and variety of animals.

A fantastic and family friendly place to get up close to the animals. Get there early to cover the large outdoor areas and then when it gets hot you can spend time in their Aquarium buildings to round out your animal experience.
Throughout the outdoor area there's a wide variety of enclosures as well as buildings which house critters who need climate controlled spaces. Be sure to visit the Animal Nursery where new babies start out their zoo career.
There's also a train, sky rides, a huge zipline, and carnival rides available. Did I mention the Log Flume ride? its amazing as it winds its way through the aquarium before a huge splashdown to complete the experience (you will get WET!). Finally there's a playground, petting zoo (with deer and llama!) and two gift shops.
If you get hungry Dillon's BBQ is onsite and accessible inside the zoo through an aquarium building or through the parking lot.
Susan
First time going to the zoo, it was great! Some attractions weren't opened, but overall a really good place to visit!
Joan LeVant
This place is great for family’s and very kid friendly. I would suggest going when it is cooler or have extra water and snacks. The snack bar was always packed and it seems that they didn’t even have a lot of choices. The aquarium was small but it did have a lot of attractions. The animals where out and about and it was really fun. We also got discounts on tickets through Groupon.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is by far the best. Our family had a wonderful Labor Day weekend here. Thank you for making your Park so fun for all ages.

Excellent place to to see all kinds of animals, take the kids and have a good time.
