Jack was incredible! He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up after, also. I’d also like to thank Jack and his trainee for keeping their language clean - rare these days but much appreciated. Kudos to the office lady I spoke to the day before for making sure we got all our equipment on time and clearing up our prep questions. A first rate experience! I would definitely recommend A1 Garage Door!

The springs went out on my garage today (the Sunday after Thanksgiving). I live in a safe area but the thought of leaving my car out overnight was a concern for me. I had no idea who to call so I yelped it and based on the reviews, found A1 Garage Door Service. They were able to get me on the schedule today. The service tech (Carl) was very polite and walked me through my options. They have amazing customer service from my original call through installation. I gave 4 stars because I didn’t see the invoice until after the technician left. There’s an $85 “Mobile Convenience Fee” that says “Fee will be waived if paid by cash or check”. Had I known about this fee, I would’ve paid via check instead of my credit card and saved $85. But overall I’m very happy with A1!

Wonderful experience with Todd and Brandon! I expected them only to come out and provide a quote to fix my hung door but they were able to fix it the same day!!! They were incredibly informative, polite, and professional!!! Todd explained all the options for my service along with quotes for each item. Called for appointment to replace rubber seals. Scheduler was very courteous and was able to get us scheduled for the next day. This was not an urgent issue but happy for quick visit. Tech Jason was very pleasant, fun to work with. Ended up with almost complete overhaul of garage door lift system. A lot more than I planned at this time of year but the system sounds so much better. Would definitely work with them again.

June 30, 2022 From the very beginning, I was impressed with the response from A1 Garage door services from the office in scheduling to every communication thereafter. I received a reminder call the day before and the office was in communication with me the morning of to keep me appraised of the arrival time of the technician. In addition, I was VERY impressed with the email I received with the name and photo of the technician that would be coming to my home. That email is an outstanding safety feature of A1 Garage Services! James S was prompt, professional and explained every option I had. After I made my choice, he was helpful in moving things to access my door, was very polite and I felt comfortable with him at my home. Additionally, he explained what he would do and worked diligently. His work ethic is to be praised and I appreciated his professional but personable demeanor. Excellent service. Mario Ferrara was our service technician and he texted that he would arrive well before our scheduled appointment time. He fully explained that our door spring had broken and that the motor belt drive had caused the door panel to break. This required ordering a new panel from the manufacturer. The panel would take some time to receive so Mario was able to add additional connections between the door and the slide bar to make the door operational until the new panel could be installed. He also installed a new heavy duty spring to prevent a recurrence. Mario also explained various options available to increase our garage doors efficiency and useful life. Thank you Mario.

While it isn't much fun to have to replace garage door openers couldn't be more pleased with both the product and the installation. Two of our garage motors were old though still functioning (mostly) and needed to be upgraded. The cost seemed fair and I was able to discuss several options without undue sale pressure. Devin and Ricardo from A1 Garage Door did such amazing work. Our garage door head unit was going on 23 years and was struggling to keep up with our demands. I called A1 garage services and was able to get an appointment for a technician to come out and look at things within the week. Devin and Ricardo showed up on time and even gave me a phone call beforehand to let me know they were on their way. They took a look at everything and provided a couple quotes on the options we had. The prices were fair and affordable and they had the parts necessary to do the job right then and there. The BEST customer service experience we've ever gotten from ANY company in my 47yrs of living. Kevin was thorough in everything he did. Every single bolt was tightened, every inch of track was lubed. I cannot express how great I felt while he was doing his job. We purchased 2 motors and 2 insulated doors from you guys back in 2018 and we cannot be more satisfied with them. We have used you guys for tune ups since then and will not even think about using any other company to use but A1, all because of guys like Kevin. Well, Mondays are Mondays, and as we were trying to leave the house the garage door spring coil broke, trapping the car in the garage - yes I know you can open the garage door manually - but we decided to see if we could get it repaired that day. We received a recommendation for A1 Garage Door Service from three different friends, so we called them and after a delightful conversation with the lady who answered the phone she went the extra mile to find if they could fit us in for a same day repair, and they did. Jeremy arrived quite quickly and proceeded to give us a great overview of the available options for the door repair, answering all our questions and giving good advice, and telling us about the costs that could be associated with repair in addition to the spring coil itself. He was very friendly and respectful of the property and did an excellent job on the repair of the garage door. They are probably not the cheapest option for garage door repairs out there, but given the job Jeremy did, and their ability to fit us in the same day, makes us recommend A1 Garage Door Service highly! Technician Ryan arrived on time, did a thorough safety inspection and found that torsion springs were not the right strength. He verified that they were covered by warranty and replaced the spring under warranty. A1 provided easy and quick phone appointment process; punctual, efficient and competent technician. They were prompt with same day service as we were headed out of town. The work was done, the technician was good, and explanation of needs were clearly laid out. However the final cost to replace two springs and bearings was nearly $1,000. I called three other companies in the Chandler area and the price quoted was between 2 and 3 times less expensive. I did call A1 and explanation given was how much better their product and services were. Is the higher price worth it?

Our spring broke Saturday afternoon. I went online Saturday night and was able to schedule service for Sunday between 1 and 6pm. Devin, the service guy, called around 10am on Sunday and said he could come early if we were available. Hello--I had a service call on 10-21-22 for a problem with a "loose drive belt" on my door opener that had first appeared a couple of months ago, and just re-appeared, making the garage door in danger of crashing or otherwise breaking, or so I thought. The service technician, GEORGE, who arrived, was the same tech that repaired the belt problem initially in August, and he was surprised as well as myself that the "fix" had failed. Anyway, on inspecting the belt and drive, he discovered a problem that might have been missed previously, so with a smile on his face, and with professional know-how, he proceeded to take care of the loose belt, and did a complete and thorough go through of the entire door system, adjusting whatever was needed and taking care of any problem areas that might have affected the proper operation of the garage door in the future . He was extremely careful to make sure I was happy with the operation of the door, without any worries that what he did on this visit would insure that the door would be free from any future needs for a service call on the belt and mechanism. Dallas (and Hannah) came out and Dallas for some reason decided to not charge me for this service and ran the door through numerous diagnostics (nothing was found wrong with the door in this case). I had the heavy duty spring installed by A1 on this door about 2 years prior (it's still running great). I would definitely recommend Dallas for your garage door needs. We realized that there would be more to a $39.95 tuneup. Tyler was very professional in explaining the inspection process and results while providing upgrades to our garage door without pressure to buy any. In the end, we decided to go with upgraded rollers and with the added tuneup we are completely satisfied with the results. Need to mention trainee Robert who assisted Tyler with the work performed. After coming home from breakfast with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, I found out that my garage door was not working. The motor was TRYING to work but the gears would not turn. I googled "Garage Door Repair near me" and up popped A1 Garage. With a 4.8 rating of 4.5K and 13+ years of service, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Plus, I remembered their commercials on TV. Normally, I would research 4-5 companies before choosing one but I decided to give them a call. I found out they are a family-owned business and I knew I was on the right track. I originally scheduled them to show up on Monday (between 1-6) but they called me to say they could come out today (Sunday!), if I was interested. From the first moment of contact with Gonzalo G 999-J, I knew I picked the right company for the job. He sent me a text to give me, not only a picture of him, but a little bit of his background information too! Imagine my surprise when he called me to tell me he was about 15 minutes away and he had stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and asked ME if HE could get me anything while he was there!!! I can honestly say, NO ONE has EVER asked me that!! Mind blown!! After Gonzalo took a look at my garage door motor, he told me the gears were blown and the motor was from 1993! Might not be able to order those parts, lol. I asked Gonzalo about pricing for a new motor and he gave several options and a FANTASTIC price. I asked him if he minded if I chatted with him while he worked (some people don't like that) but he didn't mind at all! We had a lovely conversation and had a nice time. Gonzalo was not only professional but courteous as well. I brought him some cold bottled water (he was working hard) and I could tell he appreciated it very much. Only have 4 stars based because the service was excellent. The technician was awesome and they even squeezed us in today, and didn't have any availability. The issue is their price gouging. The cost was substantially higher than their competitors. They charge a trip fee of $39, if you accept the estimate or not ( I was not informed that when on the phone ). But then, they also charge a $58 mobile convenience fee ( like anyone is going to bring their garage door somewhere to be fixed ). There is also a $36 shop supply fee, and the replacement springs were $851. That's 4 times more expensive than I can find via Google. In both cases, we did a spring replacement, plus all the bearings, cables, etc. At one location we also replaced the torsion bar amd opener motor. I was greeted by different techs at each location. Johnathan F and Jesse V. Both guys exhibited very good customer service skills, excellent communicators, and excellent technical knowhow. Their work is very thorough. I was very happy after the first repair, so when the second unrelated failure happened, I didn't hesitate to call A1 again. The work is not cheap, but it has to be done by a trained professional. Unfortunately none of them worked. The motor had failed. I really appreciated the attempts he made to find a solution. Continued review: I had Nik S. come back out. He was no longer in training. We discussed new motor options and he provided me a great option. He was able to complete the install in short order and did exceptional work. I’m very satisfied with the A1 service and product.

(New 5 star review) - During the week of Dec 25, 2022, a supervisor contacted me regarding the review that I posted in August and scheduled a technician to come to my home to correct the issues. On January 2, 2023, an A1 technician came and addressed the issues that I was having with my garage door. He fixed the door so it opens and closes correctly and replaced the seal at the bottom of the door where it was leaking. He also gave me his direct number to call him in the future if I need any further assistance with my garage door. August 2022 (1 star review) - Don't use this company. They don't stand behind their work. I wish I could leave 0 or negative stars. They fixed my garage door so it wouldn't leak, so they said, but it did during the last storm. Water came up underneath the door for an hour. When I called today, they were more interested in playing attorney with their ineffective policies than standing behind their work and fixing it. $600 later and the door still leaks. I advise you to find another company for your door like I am and warn people to steer clear of this company.

. Our service technician advised us to install a different rail to increase clearance. Got a tune up and found out that the previous owner skimped on the installation of the third car garage door opener and a cross brace was totally missing. The brace was installed. Relatively simple fix but could be catastrophic if the spring failed when opener was lifting. He returned a couple weeks later and installed rail, which did nothing. I complained and they waived the cost. Kudos to the company.

We've used this company I think a total of 4 times now. Twice at our old house, and then we just had them out for a second time at the new house today. Last time I did a Yelp review so I figured I'd give them a Google one this time. We had called them out in February to install an opener we had bought from Home Depot (do not attempt to use Home Depot's installation service. Ever. Just trust me) and the service tech actually recommended a different opener that was actually way better for pretty much the same price we paid for the other one (plus the install obviously). Then just today we had a whole brand new door installed. The tech today called me when he was 30 minutes away, and when he got to the house he went right to work. It took a while because it was just the one guy, but I had nowhere to go today (plus it's like 150 degrees outside!) I unfortunately can't remember his name but he did an excellent job and our new door looks great! Since we now have a brand new door, track, wheels, opener and all that I am hoping we WON'T have to call them out again. But I'm for sure recommending them to everyone!
