We are using Lawn Doctor to help make our yard beautiful. We just got it sodded and are using them to help the process of helping the roots stick and grow. I am more than comfortable using their services because we used them at our old place and they did such an amazing job.(When we moved they informed us the new yard would need sodded before continuing their services and quickly gave us a refund since we paid annually. Told us to call when ready) Dustin is such a pleasure and is very educational along the process. On time, professional, and very nice. Thank you guys for you service.

We use Lawn Doctor for year round yard and flower bed care. They are responsive and on time with the required treatments. We receive email and paper notes on what was done during the visit and recommendations, if any. They prioritize requests for additional visits between treatments, as necessary. We have also learned about common flowering plant viruses and received good advice on the type of bushes we could plant to avoid issues. Suzanne comes to treat our flower beds and does an exceptional job each time.

She was very friendly and also spoke with me in a professional manner. It was clear she understood the service and the company. I happened to be at home for the first treatment. Kenny was the technician who treated the yard. He was very knowledgeable about the yard. At one point, I looked in the back and he was on his knees inspecting a particular area of the yard. He gave a very detailed description of what was being done to the yard and what I should expect to see in the coming weeks. I would certainly recommend Lawn Doctor.

Monica and the team at Lawn Doctor were very courteous, professional, and helpful on the phone. Their manager, Tim, came out immediately even though it was just a routine call for an estimate and assessment. He called me and discussed his findings, recommendations, and planned out a service schedule. The entire team has been very good with communication via phone, email, and paper letters. Even though it is still early, I feel like I am getting more expertise and care from Lawn Doctor than my previous company. Time will tell. Update after 3 months: Derek and the team at Lawn Doctor have been great. They are prompt on their service visits and attentive to our lawn needs. For the few times I've reached out to them, they've been quick to respond and follow up later to make sure our needs have been met. Derek is personable, friendly, and does a good job. We have been happy with Lawn Doctor and would recommend them to others. Update after over a year: Derek and Lawn Doctor continue to do an excellent job. I like that it's always Derek who comes out, as he's consistent, knows what we need, is thorough, and does things carefully every time. They are attentive, professional, and make recommendations but do not push services on you if you don't want them. I like that he specifies when certain services are needed, recommended, or optional/supplemental. We've used another popular company in the past, but by far, we'd recommend Derek and Lawn Doctor. We have used Lawn Doctor for 10-15 years. Why, you may ask? Because they make our lawn look great and they take good care of us. They deliver a good product at a good price AND the staff are responsive, knowledgeable, and trustworthy! We have called them on occasion the help help us with various lawn problems, e.g. mole activity. They come out quickly and frequently send a specialist if needed. I am always impressed with how much they know about lawn care and lawn problems. And when they come out, they shoot straight. I don't feel like they are trying to use a problem as an opportunity to sell us a service they offer. For example, with mole activity, it would be very easy for them to tell us "You have grubs. You need to buy our grub treatment program." Instead, there have been times when they have said, "We've checked all over your lawn and we don't see any grubs. So let's look for something else." And they take time to talk with us and answer questions. They have earned our loyalty. They have earned my business. They have earned five stars.

Our grass looked marvelous in summer 2020, but there were two large problematic patches when spring 2021 arrived. After some initial confusion about what was causing it, Lawn Doctor sent out the manager to take a look and answer our questions. By the end of summer, the large patch in front looked magnificent! The big problem patch in the back is due to a nearby tree outside our fence, we believe. We’re grateful for the follow through and problem-solving. We’re also very grateful that Lawn Doctor stopped by on a non-business call to bring another frisbee to our kids, because our last Lawn Doctor frisbee had cracked after endless hours of play!

I've been pleased with the results Lawn Doctor has achieved with my lawn in a fairly short time. Since the first Spring treatment till now, they have managed to kill off most of the weeds (which was most of my yard) and get the good grass to take over. Their pricing is reasonable. They leave you a paper invoice as well as an email, and you can pay online. My lawn technician, Wes, is very friendly and personable. He is very knowledgeable in how to effectively kill the weeds and treat the grass, and does a good job explaining what I need to do get the best results.

Switched from Fairway Lawns to Lawn Doctor and have been so thoroughly pleased, impressed, and happy with the night-and-day difference of the service provided. I wanted to give the technician James LH294B1-936 a 5 star rating. I have used Lawn Doctor for years and have not been completely satisfied with the technicians that have serviced my yard in the past. I would have lots of weeds in my yard even thou they have been servicing my yard for at least six years maybe longer. I have spent $1000.00’s of dollars with this company. I would call about my concerns. My neighbors would tell me that the technicians would not be at my house but maybe five minutes maximum. I had the Manager tell me that they should be in and out of someone’s yard in five minutes. Anyway since I have been quarantined I have noticed and I even bragged to James the first time that I met him about him taking his time to spray the whole yard. He was actually here about 15 minutes and he took pride in his work. He came back again yesterday and I was home and noticed his work ethic and how he made sure to spray the front and back yard. Not just the front yard. He did not know I was home this time and took pride in his work and taking as much time as needed to spray the whole yard. Update 9/22/2019: Between increased diligence by Lawn Doctor and increased watering By me, our lawn is looking significantly better. There are still numerous dead patches where the grass had completely died from the fungus - I hope the grass will return in these areas next season and may have to over seed. I have upgraded my rating of Lawn Doctor to 4 stars because it looks much better now, though I would have appreciated more vigilance and direct communication about how awful the lawn looked mid-way through this summer, before it got as bad as it did. - Update 8/20/2019: I appreciate the effort that Lawn Doctor has put into getting our grass back on the right track. They have reached out regularly to update me on what they are doing, and it is starting to look better. - Original post 8/5/2019: We had a new Zoysia lawn planted in the fall of 2018 when we moved into our new home. In March 2019, we contracted Lawn Doctor for their Lawn Care and Soil Enrichment Program, as well as their Fungicide program. We also had them do the Bed Weed Control Program and the Tree & Shrub Program. Fast forward 5 months, and we have large patches of dead/dying grass that another lawn company has identified as fungus; more unsightly horizontally-growing Bermuda grass than Zoysia in a number of areas; and 75% dead decorative Monkey Grass in our planters. When I asked for them to come take a look and consider at least doing another fungicide treatment for the grass, I was told that I'm not watering the grass enough in those areas. I have inspected the sprinkler system's coverage, which seems pretty appropriate to me, and my watering record on my smart sprinkler controller tells me I'm definitely not under-watering the lawn. Needless to say, based on my experience, I would rate both the quality of the lawn/weed service AND the customer service as poor for this company.

She has worked hard to get it knocked back. When the crepe myrtle mold infected one of our large bushes, she saved it by catching it early and spraying it regularly. Lawn Doctor has been taking care of my lawn and shrubs since 2014, and I have been very pleased with the service. I inherited a Zoysia lawn when I purchased my house. This type of grass is prone to various problems, and Derek has always been good to spot issues early and to consult about treatments to solve the problems. My shrubs were anemic looking when I moved here, but after the first season of Susanne’s treatments they rebounded to a healthy, growing condition, and my azaleas were covered with blooms. She has kept them in condition in the years since. UPDATE: It has been a while since I posted the above review, but after re-reading what I wrote then, I can’t really improve on it, except to say it is all still true. In addition, Tracey in the office has always been highly responsive to any requests or inquiries. You truly receive top notch service from this local Lawn Doctor.

We had our house built four years ago and have big yards: the front is zoysia, and the back centennial bermuda. If I had a "do over" I would sod both with bermuda. Speaking strictly for our yard, the zoysia has had more problems with weeds and diseases. I consider a 4 star rating to be good, and Lawn Doctor always strives to insure we are happy with our yard, and with them. A little less nut grass in our zoysia and they will get the 5 star rating next go round.
