Ding…. Ding. Ding… Ding…. The staff deserves better. The asylum-esc nursing bell commands no respect. It’s become invisible on both stories and all halls of the facility. It is an obvious yellow flag to the mental health of the staff and the level of immediate care to it’s patients. Sound design is a ding and needs serious consultation to improve wellness at Sandstone Spring Valley. The staff is incredibly friendly + competent. I just want them to have the best work condition.

The Cna that was there today 10/24/22 around 5;50pm. Was very nice 👍 all these time that I been going to this place she is the only person who take the time to talk to us. And let us know how our patient is doing. She did her shower today. Please make sure to let her know. I can tell she loves what she does!!! I work in a nursing home for 17 years and I can tell when some one love what they do for others.

I just want to thank everyone who made a big part on my recovery. I've been here 6 weeks and today, I'll be going home with a heavy heart because I will miss all the staffs here. My nurses and CNA's at Lakemead, Sunshine in Activities - by the way they have super exciting activities here like movies n popcorn, root beer floats, bingo and a lot more. Thanks also to the kitchen and housekeeping staffs. Big hugs to all of you.

Angie is the best housekeeper here at the Spring Valley location. I watch her clean my room all the time. Angie doesn’t miss a spot. I am so impressed seeing Angie dust the top of the closet. The closest is so high and Angie doesn’t the height hold her back from dusting the top. Please tell Angie thank you for keeping my room clean so I don’t get COVID again. Today was my first day there with Eric and April when I tell u they r the bomb. I learn so much in one day and they r pleasant people. Also Sherly the lady that hired me is just so nice . I have never been so excited to work in a place where the air in a building is so calm. I pray it stay this way because I'm a hard worker and I don't mine helping no one. Honestly this place is maybe a 3 or 2 star rating not everybody there is fantastic but if I could give a 5 star rating it is Tracy! Tracy was one of the best people that I could ask for being there for my grandma I really felt like not only does she take her job with pride but she truly cared about her patience I wish everyone at that facility could work like Tracy she was fantastic one of the best people inside and out that I can meet. Overall the facility was quite beautiful it just sucks that it wasn't the bad the best in terms of care my grandma continuously told her physical therapist that she is bedbound and she cannot walk anymore and they kept telling her she could just get up go ahead and try which really discouraged her and made her feel terrible that these people wanted her to do something that she couldn't do. The physical therapist mostly made her feel like she was a disappointment because they continuously told her that she could do things that she couldn't luckily Tracy would come in soon after and brighten my grandma's spirits and make her feel better unfortunately my grandma had to come home to start hospice care but but when I told Tracy you could see that her heart went out to my family she is a true gem and she's the only reason why it recommend that place.

Making sure you are asking questions about your loved ones and letting the staff know what your loved ones routine is at home so they can help you if you can not be at the bedside. The facility was clean and welcoming. The staff was courteous, professional and pleasant. My only suggestion would be to fix your signage. My mother-in-law is on the second floor, but the sign points down the wrong hallway and doesn’t even mention that I need to take the elevator. Fortunately, a staff member sent me in the right direction after I wandered around for a little bit.

There are really exceptional staffs working in this facility and that includes Sunshine, Kiki, Edwin & Sherri. These employees are incredible, they really make this facility work much better. They are exceptional because they make you feel warm inside. They do care about the patients and you’ll feel that they do not do this just for money. I will recommend this facility because of their caring staff.

Some staff are nice and helpful. My therapist is cool, they are helpful and encourage me to never give up. I do my walking exercises because I can't use the gym ever sucks. Food is ok make sure you bring your own if your not on a diet better door dash that thing lol and they asked me what I like for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Activities staff are friendly and nice. They help me with trivia, crosswords and work search.big shot out to them It keeps my mind working. I really dislike how they ran out of colostomy bags and I just had to make due with the one I was wearing and a big shotout to the staff whom clean those rooms everyday love you ladys.

My stay here was good, my nurses give my medicines on time. The activities are great I enjoy playing Bingo and Pokeno. Ann from activities brightens my day every morning and I enjoy her visits all the time. I recommend this facility.

I was transferred to Transitional Care of Las Vegas after a stay in the hospital for cellulitis and the staff were all nice, sweet, wonderful, and attentive. The physical therapy staff were encouraging and sensitive to my needs. They even have an activities department that brought a daily activity sheet with crossword puzzles or word searches, the menu for the day, etc. they played daily bingo over the PA system and gave cookies or chips for prizes. It made the day go by quicker and gave me something to look forward to. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone who needed a place for recovery.

Kiki, johnny and Angela went above and beyond.. they took extra time and care with me which means a lot when your in a place you feel lost in. The place is clean. The rooms are spacious. The therapy treatment are consistent and the staff are very considerate and knowledgeable. They accommodate patient need. They also have activities planned for the patient to keep them busy and entertained. The therapist focuses on your goals and will do their best to help to attain your own goals. I was transferred here for a fall that caused vertigo. I was here for over a month and it was hard being so young. I absolutely love the occupational and physical therapy department. Amber, Denise, Uli, Alonso, Lisa, Todd are awesome. Maria and a few other CNAs in the Lake Mead unit and Tracy and Monica are amazing nurses. I will never forget Tracy saying “Change your words, change your life,” referring to outlook on life and having a positive mindset as I get better.

This is my 2nd time in here and I personally requested to be transferred in here when I needed therapy. All the staffs are good and I am well taken care of. The facility is clean and they serve good food and snacks. I really did enjoy my stay in here. The best experience for me is the help that I get from all the staffs. I love how friendly the nurses are! My brother is very comfortable here. This is a very nice and up kept place with good food! I love how there are no limit to visiting hours, I can go anytime I want. It's great being able to stay with my brother over night if I want to. My brother lost his leg in a car accident and unfortunately it gets infected from time to time from his prostetic but whenever he has difficulties or needs extensive care we always go here! The staff is very nice and warming I can really tell they care about my brothers need and want him to get better asap. He had to go here on two different occasions but both times he ended up here he was treated kindly and felt a lot more comfortable then being in the hospital. I know a lot of times there is no smoking on hospital properties and my brother is unfortunately a smoker so is hard for him to find a place to smoke but here they have a smoking area with seating, so it's nice he doesn't have to go far just to smoke. It's very nice that they keep you updated and give you all the information you need to know! I am definitely recommending this place 👍

I AM Sharetha Jackson and I was transferred from Summerlin Hospital to The Kindred Traditional Care and Rehabilitation Center here in Las Vegas, NV on Monday, April 8, 2019. The purpose of my stay was to have physical therapy and build up my upper body strength due to my recent surgery. I stayed there until I was discharged on Friday, April 19, 2019. I must say I AM truely impressed with the facility and the quality of care that I received. The facility is very clean and have modern / up-to-date furniture. The rooms are spacious and well maintained by house keeping on a daily basis. They also have a well maintained calender of daily events for the residents/patients to participate in if their heart so desires. My physical & occupational therapy program schedule was very flexible. I also liked how the therapist were very friendly and each had an encouraging personality. The location did not get an outstanding review of a 5 star due to the nurse call light button is not always answered in a timely manner. I understand that the ratio of nurse to patients can average 1:13 which may cause the call lights not to be answered right away. I had a situation when my call light had not been answered in a timely manner so I used my cell phone to call the front desk to have my need met. Also, I had a situation where the admissions representative came in my room with a negative attitude (vibration) because she had may files she had to complete. I requested for her to leave my room because I felt my heart rate increase during the brief encounter. The situation was rectified after I brought the concern up to the director. Overall, I AM greatful for my experience at Kindred. I did not allow the one negative encounter / incident impact my attitude during my stay. Furthermore, my positive attitude impacted the positive results that I received during my stay. Finally, this is a location I would recommend to others who are trying to find a rehabilitation center for their loved ones.

I was brought here from the hospital. I was crippled by a pinched sciatic nerve. I was unable to walk or sit up or stand. They provided quality nursing care and pain management. As I got better physical therapy staff got me stretching and moving. I was then able to sit and stand and began walking again. Very grateful for the staff, nurses, and Doctors. The food is good and the place was very clean. Glad they were there for me.

It is fine here but when activities staff come by they brighten everything even more. Housekeeping is so nice, they even ask if you need anything and just take the minute to say hello. The nursing staff is really good overall. The kitchen answers to all my special wants and changes. Even the front desk is really sweet.

I did not want to be here the first 3 days. When I was admitted, I had an infection called peritonitis and had lost all my leg muscles. I had my Appendix removed 10 days before. I spent the month of May 2018 in Kindred. My room was the bottom floor towards the north end. The night CNA and RN were professionals and attentive. The morning CNAs (7am - 3pm) are the busiest and friendlies of all. The swing CNAs (3pm -11pm) are not rude but not as friendly. The grave shift CNAs are patient, a bit on the slow side but still knowledgeable. I was on IV antibiotics all month. I was unable to walk and I had to build up my legs. Things were falling off of my hands. More than half of my hair fell out. I had no appetite and my stomach hurt when I did eat. I was 114 pounds, my normal weigh is about 135. I had physical therapy Monday through Friday to re learn to walk. This handsome guy on this pic was my OPT (he is nice & kowledgable). He helped me with my motor skills. It took 4 weeks but I was able to walk again. It's now been 6 months and I can run. A nutritionist come to see me on the second day. I was able to get some of my favorite foods like salmon instead of pork, fresh fruits instead of can fruit, sunny up eggs instead of scrambled eggs and cream of wheat instead of cold cereal. Every patient takes a nap after lunch (I don't know why I did too). I love the activities that they offer like bingo, poker, cooking class, movies and other entertainment. We had a cinco de mayo celebration and one great Hawaiian day. My doctor allowed it, so I was able to sign up for a field trip and go eat pizza with a few others. It gets boring after 7 pm. Every one is sleeping by 8 pm. I got to know the staff and pray for them too. They all have a difficult job. Most are nice and sweet, few are grumpy. I found 2 with no people skills but one works in the kitchen. I gave it 4 stars due to bio-cleanliness. The person that was in my room before me bleed all over, I could see spots of blood and smell it too. Nobody took the time to clean the blood off the Tv control or the cord, the floor boards near the bathroom had blood, the bathroom walls and last I found more blood on the wall below the sink.

The staff's are very helpful. They offer a lot of activities for the patients and I really enjoy it. Overall I highly recommend this place. This is my 2nd time here and I really love all the workers. Sunshine, Ann & Glenn were my favorites. I always have so much fun playing bingo, Pokemon and movie time.

I came here from hospital for rehabilitation on my hip. I actually respect, appreciate and admire 99.3 percent of staff (a few need a vacation 😉). They are kind, considerate and accommodating. Today again Chef, John got me my favorite yogurt. I was upset because I want to go home but to honest. I would not have thrived. It is tough doing rehabilitation. However, thank God for Kindred. They get a five because no body is perfect and if there is a problem. They fix immediately. Plus, omg I am a Diva.

My father is here doing P/T so he can go home. He has been to Desert Springs 5 thumbs down and Sunrise Hospital 5 thumbs up. The P/T for Sunrise Hospital they push you in one week to get out so they have great ratings but this is not so good for the patient. Kindred has a wonderful staff and the P/T is a wonderful group. Yes the food here is horrible but overall great place to have your P/T done so you can go home and live your life again. keep up the good work.

My experience here at TCLV was excellent. Nursing staff are very friendly. I never felt rushed with them. They take good care of me. Therapy was tough but I knew I need to push to get better. With activities, they gave me always something to do, from bingo to movies and karaoke and the live music was good. I really like how the kitchen calls me everyday to make sure that I have something that I can eat. Everybody was nice. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends. Even the laundry staff was so nice and accommodating. My favorite nurses was Tracy, Trudy, and Summer.

I can't speak for the other sections of the building I was based in the northern corner Mount Charleston.I thought this place was pretty excellent and there were many staff who`left a good impression. Most things they did well. I needed the larger bed being a tall guy and they got me one within a few days. The food portions were too small for me So I asked the lead food coordinator I forget his name. He was able to get me larger portions and set drinks the rest of my visit. My morning cna Kim Was always Dead silent delivering food for my late mornings and always brought me the shower chair when needed. Shawn was very friendly and never late to the call. I missed her name but there was a general Work lady who ran around who was extremely nice, She got me the bed. Overall the staff was super friendly. I didn't feel at all neglected. The night nurse leader Jerry Was very kind as to let my fiance setup camp in here to take care of me. It was extremely helpful. Physical/Occupational Therapy: These guys were excellent. They always pushed just right, And when I told them I could go harder they listen and let me. They had their orders but they place faith in my lucidity and because of that my progress Surpassed far beyond expected. Some of my favorites I'll list below. Rae - Rae is the best, When I was Sleeping in she'd come in and get me up and moving, She listened and pushed me where I needed it when I was being a baby. But best of all she didn't just stick me on a machine and go eat a sandwich, but actually sat there and chatted with me, which helped dull out the redundancy of working out. Rae has a way of connecting to the heart with her patients and it really make you want to strive for more and motivate you to become stronger. Thank you Rae. Turoko -"T" Was really cool, Related to him on lots of levels. Besides being very friendly T let me experiment with ways to acclimate to my current ailments, which were successful. working with T makes Working out more fun and interactive. Thank you Turoko. Ronalyn - Ronalyn was extremely attentive to my pain needs, And had an eye for supporting joints she knew were in trouble during exercises. on example is that she woul support my injured knee with her arm so I could work out my calf or quad. She would brace her body to hold my kicking exercises instead of just throwing me on a machine. She's a tough girl and I appreciate her knee work big time. It would be nowhere near as strong as it is today without her. Thank you Ronalyn Jason (who used to be a beefcake) - Was really great. I only worked with him twice, But the excessive he showed me were perfect for my body type especially the crunches. Thank you Jason. Maila - Maila is excellent. I only worked with her once. But on my first day I had plead to poo with dignity and she helped me figure out the commode so I could poo cleanly and alone. Maila Listened to me and my well being. Thank you Maila. There are so many nurses and CNA's and house keeping staff, I can't remember their names but they were excellent, Always made coffee on request or got me milk or extra cereal. Lots of love to you guys thank you so much for keeping everything tidy and meeting my needs. The food isn't bad, Sometimes it's great, Sometimes you might just want bachi burger instead. Desserts were always good though.

Kindred Spring Valley is Clean Warm and Inviting doesn't feel like a Hospital or a Nursing Home .Everyone is very helpful and nice they helped me to transition from the Hospital to get ready to go Home they helped me get over my blood infection and P/T helped me get my strength back and taught me new ways to help me not to hurt myself the Nurses are awesome they are Compassionate and Caring as too are the CNA these CNA's are very helpful to the Nurses. The Rooms are very Clean and inviting you get a phone and TV , there are activity's everyday fun activities from Bingo to a Movie and Popcorn. I Never needed Management but they are here to Help they come in and introduce themselves make sure your Happy and see if there is anything you might need. I feel safe everyone is looking out for my safety and well being. everyone is so Kind and willing to Help I Highly Recommend Kindred Spring Valley to Everyone if you ever need a transition from the Hospital to Home this is the Place to be .The Food is Good it is hot and fresh taste is good and the portion size is right not too much not too little .This Place is Awesome .This is my second time coming here and I really enjoy it and I enjoy learning new ways of helping myself to stay healthy .Thank You Everyone at Kinderd Spring Valley .

This is a great facility with some amazing caregivers. I just spent 2.& a half weeks there for IV antibiotics, PT, OT & post op wound care. The staff took care of all my needs and took great care of me. Some of the CNA’s went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. ChiChi, Nancy, Kim & Edwin were all fantastic! My nurses May, Susan & Cynthia were top notch. Cherry & Millie with wound care were great too! Occupational therapy and physical therapy folks Uli, Carrie, Pamela & Amber were great and helped me gain my strength back! The one who stands out the most is Rob U. He helped me SO much! His teaching methods are so thorough! He made sure I understood what I was dealing with before I got discharged and he made sure I had plenty of supplies while I’m waiting for my ostomy supplies order to come in. He is so passionate about his work and caring for patients and it definitely shows! I’m very blessed to have had such great people taking care of me! TCLV, you’re lucky to have staff like Rob and all the others I mentioned! Thank you all for helping me get better!!

Soledad is one of the best keepers I’ve ever been around. When she comes to a patient’s room, she ask if housekeeping coming to the room. Once she’s in the room, she covers the entire room without skipping any details. I have never seen someone like her, who would clean up under the nightstands, the recliner, and even the bed. It would be great if everyone took as much pride in their jobs like she does. There is also a great nursing staff, Leah is one of the nurses that stands out. She takes the time to listen to her patients and give them the best possible care they deserve. Also, the CNAs aren’t to shabby either. Tina is a great caregiver. She like the others made my stay tolerable. I’ve been here three times and would recommend this facility to anyone.

Transitional Care of Las Vegas -During stay at TCLV all of the staff has been great. This is a faculty for medical rehabilitation. From the moment you arrive, staff are there to assist you whether it is from day to day injuries, surgeries or rehabilitation. During your stay until the time you have completed your recuperation period, all of the staff is on standby to help you. From Nursing, Kitchen, Medications, Cleaning, Occupation and/or Physical Therapy, etc. are there for you. We even have fun activities and games daily for all to meet and greet.

My grandfather just discharged TCLV on Friday and he has had a miraculous recovery. He was in a motor vehicle accident and we were concerned he would never be himself again. In just a few weeks at TCLV he is doing exponentially better. His Physician was excellent and stayed in communication with us every few days. The Physical therapy team at TCLV was amazing to say the least. They motivated him to get up when he was tired and found an appropriate balance. The nurses were so committed and caring and made not only my grandfather feel so welcome and at home but also myself and my family who flew in from out of town. The TCLV case managers went above and beyond and housekeeping kept the hallways and my room super tidy! Surprisingly, they have a Executive chef who makes gourmet food. My Grandfather still rave about their dinners. I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone in search of a rehab facility.

Since day one of my wife's transfer from Spring Valley facility due to a stroke I have running in too many walls unable to reach her dr. unable to get answers if she's being seen by rehab if she's getting daily food her meds the showers showers to keep her hygienically clean these answers and many other questions I have are not being answered in a timely manner they were supposed to do a x-ray more than 3 days ago a sonogram of her ankles to make sure there's no blood clots these and many answers I have not answered two many of my questions are simple and basic there is no reason why I can't get the answers I request in a timely manner I am even having trouble getting a hold of her doctor
