These guys are great! After having a lighting bolt strike the power pole in my backyard and damaging the remote control transmitters on my garage door and electric swing gate openers I called GSP and they were able to replace the fried parts with new equipment within a short time, at a reasonable cost, and got our gate & garage back up and useable. Nice to find professionals that know what they are doing. Highly recommended!

UPDATE 11.8.2022: Once again, wonderful service. Called.about garage door that wouldn't close. Came.very same day. Steph (?sp) was so nice and such a professional. Explained all my options. Was quick with the repair. Showed me all he did and cleaned up! Definitely a win win. GSP was wonderful. My garage door stopped halfway on a Friday afternoon and they came out on Saturday to repair. Daniel, the technician, couldn't have been nicer. He was able to diagnose the problem. He did not have the two heavy duty springs to replace mine on his truck (who knew a garage door could weigh 300 pounds). He came back on Monday, replaced the springs, put the door back on its tracks, and as an added bonus, knocked all the dirt dobber nests off the top of the door! LOL. He explained what he was doing and why. I was very impressed with his knowledge about garage doors and how they work. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

Overhead garage door was broken, a cable snapped. The whole thing needed some TLC. I didn't want to replace the entire door as the panels are in good condition. I called Garage & Gate Service Pros and set an appointment. They came by when they said they would. He charged me exactly what I thought it would be. He fixed the door and everything is great. These guys have done work for me twice now. Both times cane same day and had me up and running in no time. Replaced motor, track,sensors,and mounted new garage door button on the wall in about an hour. So fast and efficient. After he was done set up my remotes and even car activated remotes. I had a broken torsion spring on my daily-drivers’ garage. I first called the original installer and they didn’t have technicians working because of Covid, but gave me a referral. Their referral said he didn’t have the correct parts and couldn’t help. I called GSP and they had a technician available the same afternoon to come out and assess the situation. My door is 18’x7’ and cedar over MDF, so it is very heavy (560 lbs) and uses four torsion springs. GSP technician Seth arrived at the agreed time and determined the replacement torsion springs we should use based on the original equipment and the weight of the door. Seth had three of the four springs needed in his truck, but offered that he could drive to their warehouse and return later that day with the fourth spring. About 45 minutes later, Seth returned and went to work replacing the torsion springs. Seth did a great job and got the job done timely. He also spent time lubricating the hinges, springs, spools, and door-opener sprockets and made sure the door closed and opened properly and with the correct force. He noticed that one of the spools had previously slipped on the torsion shaft and adjusted the torsion shaft so the spools were properly clamped. I highly recommend GSP and Seth for your garage door and gate service needs.

My repairman, Seth, arrived within 45 minutes of my request for service, even though I called after 4:30 pm after I realized my garage door would not open. He replaced the springs and rollers and got the automatic door opener back on track in a short time. These guys deserve more than five stars. The cables on our garage door snapped, and caused more damage than we thought. Come to find out whoever did the install before we bought our home may not have know what they were doing. Placed the call at 7:30, technician was at our house by 9:30. Very good service, spring broke Christmas Eve and they contacted me first business day after. Had an appointment same day for between 11:00-1:00. Awesome service! Door buckled with the recent storms and when quoting the repair took plenty of time to explain all the details. Went with a replacement door instead, now being able to make an informed decision between all the different options. Slight miscommunication with the 2hr install window given being for arrival and not the whole install, but aside from being a bit later than planned for the install went great. Now I have a new insulated, stronger door that looks nicer and was fit better for exactly the quoted all in price.

I called every single one, and either had no response, or they came and gave me a quote then disappeared, or the business had sold and the person recommended was no longer there. Mostly no response. So, this week, I found Garage & Gate Service Pros. I spoke to Brian, who gave me all the information as well as a quote over the phone. He answered all of my questions, and then sent out someone to verify the measurements. This company has been in business since 2006, and has an A+ rating at the BBB. Plus, there were many many excellent reviews on Google and Yelp spanning over a number of years, as well as very recent. Today, I got our new garage doors installed. The guys were here 5-6 hours, and they removed and carried away the old wooden doors, rails, springs, and openers. They did a great job. Doors look great, and OMG, they open AND close! Highly recommend this company!

The service techs showed up about an hour after that and did enough to allow me to get my car out of the garage. I explained that I had to have the door either repaired or replaced the same day. Replacing the door was less than twice the price for repairs, for a much better quality door with all new parts. The service tech called back to the office to determine who could do a same-day install. The installer arrived at the promised time and did a beautiful installation on a brand new door. I asked him to check my opener as it looked like the rail & shaft of the screw drive had been bent when the spring broke. After replacing the spring and rollers he had me come out and check the opener and yes the shaft was bent and needed to be replaced. Again he showed me what was wrong and let me decide if I wanted to replace it or not (No Pressure) My garage door is 13 years old and did not work this smooth or quiet when it was new. Chase came out within 2 hrs of my original call to fix my garage.. he said the problem may have been a broken spring system.. his solution was to change it out. He had it fixed within an hour. He was nice and professional. The only reason I took away a star was because of cost. I paid a total of 627$ just to change out the spring system . I googled what the price range should be and most sites said 150-350$ . At the time of the service I didnt know much about the normal rates and just paid bc I was in a rush and he was available. The next day I called a few other companies in Houston and realized that i could have got this service done for about 230$ cheaper than what they charged. After the spring went on our door, I googled garage door repair and found Ryan and GSP. Our door was original to the house and without any hint of pressure, Ryan explained that he could fix it as is, but the door being as old (20+years) as it was, it would probably be better to replace it as well. Then he took the time to teach me how to program extra remotes, not part of our service agreement. Later that evening, long after he'd left, I was trying to program those remotes when I inadvertently disconnected a wire.
