I love this giant blue bear sculpture! It's a well-known staple in Denver making it a must see tourist destination. I highly recommend taking pictures here when traveling through Denver. You are able to get as close as you want.

This large blue bear statue really helps make the convention center in Denver unique. Be sure to snap a nice photo when you see it. Very enjoyable from both the outside and inside of the convention center. Free attraction, parking is difficult so consider the RTD (local light rail).

Very crowded, and lots of interesting and unique selections available ! Enjoyed all the creativity and meeting the various vendors at the Holiday Craft Show,!! It was way too crowded. This place should allow just so many people in at a time. There were so many people that we couldn't even get close to the booths to see what the venders were selling.I think it's all about how much money can be pulled in, so cram as many people as you can! The admission price was too expensive. Consider those of us who are on a fixed income.

Cute and quirky place to bring kids for free. Convention Center has bathrooms and water fountains inside, open to the public. Also a few places to purchase food and Denver souvenirs inside.

Went here for Jurassic Quest and loved the location. Has plenty of room and was able to host a lot of people. Love the blue bear and it's photogenic appeal. Would recommend a visit or a at least a photo by the big blue bear!

We saw this when we went to Collect a Con in Denver a few weeks ago. As it is outside there is no fee to see the bear though if you park nearby it can be expensive. It was really cool to see.

I stumbled across this "B I G" fella while going to Denvers Selfie Museum. I think this statue is just the cutest. Snap a photo with "The Big Blue Bear" if you're in town ... he's so adorable!!!! I wish the convention center was open because I would have loved to see him up close and personal from the inside! Nonetheless, this was a highlight of my trip to Colorado! 😊

Though probably infeasible, i find it disappointing The Bear isn't actually in contact with the glass and breaks the illusion standing parallel to it. From afar its a fun piece of art and stands out from the surrounding environment.

Big blue bear is a must see! I've lived here my whole life and still enjoy seeing him whenever I'm downtown. You can get up close and personal and take some pretty cool pictures. There's a parking lot across the street and sometimes there are a few spots open right out front.

We went to the sportsman's expo here and had so much fun. You can get really good quality things that are hand made cheap knives and expensive ones. You can register for a bunch of different fishing and hunting trips and they have All of the ATVs you can imagine

The name says it all: big blue bear. It is a statue of a giant blue bear peering into the Bellco convention center. It is outside and no line or wait to see it. You can easily take photos or/with the big blue bear and is only a couple blocks from the 16th St Mall. I don't personally think it's worth a trip downtown to just see the statue but if you're in the area for any other reason it's cool enough to make a stop to see or get photos with. Also nearby is the Denver Art Museum so make a day of it!

Visited the Christmas festival that was being held in the convention center. Despite the huge space, and a pandemic, the booths were set up too close together, with a Santa that wasn't masked and allowing all person's within his space. There was a great amount of unused space that would have prevent everything and everyone from being packed in.

Um, How often do you see a gigantic blue bear at a convention center? Fun photo op. Plus you can go to 16th street mall and the state capitol. State capitol is an approx additional 16 min walk or take a free bus to drop you off near the capito. Try Lazos empanadas. Pricey on 16 the street but tasty.

On the night prior to November 5th, 2019, that Big Blue Bear had been peeking through the great window, trying desperately to catch any glimpse of mystical performance from Devi enchantress, Ms. Lana Del Rey, but alas, she already achieved night's completion, for I'd just exited the venue & never would I have allowed myself a premature ejection from her concert grounds; Not while Supreme Goddess of All Heaven & Earth still graced me in her divine song. But, oh, such poor, poor Blue Bear... If it had been me standing out there in so much cold, gazing hopeless such deep void lying just beyond that wall of glass encasement, to be filled only with what emptiness makes when so greatly a loss felt, I would have been reeking havoc all over the damn place, being extreme mean throughout that downtown scene, like when in videogame demolition mode from a sin of Rampage play. But such helluva nice Bear, was Big Blue, who refused to take out these erupting emotions of hostility, anguish, & disappointment on the littler, though taxpaying, citizens of Denver, CO.

It's large, definitely blue, kinda crudely carved (large flat slabs, resembles a bear if Picasso vomited one). Pretty cool for a blue bear that would become giant and decide to go check out the convention center. Looks just a bit off balance forward, giving hope that high wind may give the tourists staring up at it one final extreme close up. If it's been in Denver for more than15 minutes it probably has four tattoos alluding to time in prison, has no idea what they mean (or how people outside of Denver interpret an iron cross and spider web), works at Starbuck's, already has tickets and costumes for Burning Man, and is peering into the convention center for comicon dates. Distinct lack of defining genetalia.

Travelling First

Big blue bear is an iconic figure in Denver downtown. This place is near the Colarado convention center where some of the science conference taking place. Also a couple indian restaurants are nearby. You can park in the nearby street parking here. There are also some cheap city parking spaces. 16th street mall is also located closed by to this place.
