I cannot express how amazing my experience has been with this company in two different cities. I first used precision door in Cincinnati in 2021. The springs broke the morning of the first day of showings. I needed quick and relaible service and that's exactly what I received. En was out and the garage door was fixed before my first showing! When I was an idiot and backed into my garage door at my new house in Columbus, I knew exactly who to call. The estimater Matt was great! He came out the same day I called. He went over all my options giving a quick and fair quote. I ordered a garage door with windows. The windows had to get made, but they installed a soild door in the mean time so I could use my garage! Adam S installed the garage door and he did a fantastic job. Adam was super professional and kind. I found out while he was installing the solid door that my aunt has passed away. I was shocked when Adam came back three weeks later to install the windows and he remembered and asked how my family was going. I highly recommend this company. They care about their customers, do great work at a fair price.

After 22 years, our three garage door openers and the remotes that went with them were driving me crazy. All three were very noisy chain drive openers and had intermittent problems that I could not pinpoint to fix. I called the last door company that replaced a broken spring, but they could not get me in for a couple of weeks (during the holidays). Precision sent their technician Walker out the next day! As Walker went through in great detail with great clarity why I was having the challenges I was, and some that were soon to come, I asked him for a quote on new openers and all of the other repairs we discussed that were needed. I just didn’t want to have to worry about it anymore. Then, when I asked how far out they were scheduling, Walker said they really weren’t that busy that day and he could do it that day! Well, it took about 4-5 hours, including replacing the outside keypad and reprogramming all the cars remote buttons, but now everything works perfectly, the belt drives are much quieter, and I don’t have to worry if the doors or remotes are going to work anymore. What a relief! A little pricier than I expected, but I was working with a real garage door expert who cares about what he was doing without having to wait weeks to get it all scheduled and done. I highly recommend Walker and Precision Door Service!

We had an installer named Charles Francis-Love. He was wonderful! He came on time and got right to work. He took the old door down quickly. We found that the van in the garage wouldn't start. He offered to use jumper cables to try to start it. He decided he would just work around the van. We were told that we would have to move things in the garage so he could have 6 feet of room to work. He said that he could do it without our moving things. (Which at 70 years old we were not going to be able to do that. ) Charles kept updated on his progress. He explained how everything worked. He worked very quickly on a very hot day. He left the place neat and clean. Charles was pleasant, polite, respectful, helpful, and neat. It was a great experience and I would recommend him.

Walker came out for an initial inspection and after telling me what was going on with various parts of the garage door system, he answered all my questions, including giving me 3 different options for various replacements. Never any pressure to try to talk me into replacing anything. In fact, he told me he couldn’t tell me what I should do even when I asked him what he would do if it were his garage door. Really nice guy and very professional. When I decided on the work I wanted to have done, he got right on it, had all the parts needed and finished over an hour sooner than what he anticipated. He actually thanked me for letting him do the job. Yes, it was a lot of money, but I feel good about what was done and who did it. Would recommend him to anyone.

Matt was great! I learned a lot about my own garage and he was able to fix it all within the hour. My garage had one of its rollers come off the track but as Matt was inspecting and teaching me about the different parts. He caught other parts that would have been a safety hazard (no safety's for the spring, worn cables that the previous homeowner neglected) in the future if it broke any further. I ultimately decided to go with a more thorough replacement option based on that information and it was a great decision.

He was extremely thorough in walking me through all options/prices of potential repairs and various new openers. He took the time to present the pros and cons of each option. David also inspected my garage door to give me options regarding preventative maintenance. One he installed my new opener David took the time to walk me through the registration and internet setup process. He wasn’t going to leave until I was completely satisfied. 5 out of 5 stars.

Not only was he knowledgeable and explained everything to me along the way, he even let my dogs hang out with him! Jonathon S arrived hours ahead of the scheduled time (after calling, of course) and quickly determined that the garage door wouldn't open because a different company that installed a spring in March 2017 didn't properly calibrate the opener to the new spring. Then he fixed the photo-electric eyes that the other company deliberately misaligned and didn't bother to fix. Because of Jonathon's determination to make sure the job was done right and his generous spirit, I was able to get my car out of the garage and get a new heater to my dad to replace one that broke (during frigid weather!)--one less thing to worry about! I will certainly call Precision the next time my garage door goes on the fritz!

When leaving this morning, my garage door wouldn't go down. I did a quick Google search and instantly noticed the number of 5 Star reviews for Precision Garage Door and figured I would start there. Website was ok and it was hard to find a form to complete. Once I did, it took less than 15 minutes for customer service to call me and schedule an appointment. I completed my request around 9:30am and was told a tech would be out the same day between 10 and 2. I received a call at 1:15 from Jesse and was excited to hear he was 20 minutes out. He arrived on time and proceeded to complete a thorough inspection of the entire garage door assembly from top to bottom. Jesse showed me an itemized list from immediate issues to suggested maintenance areas. He wasn't pushy at all, but rather incredibly understanding and empathetic. Knowing I had only owned the home for two months and hadn't planned for this, he constructed a plan to repair immediate issues to get the garage door working again. He took the time to join me for a speaker phone call with the home warranty company that didn't cover any areas of concern as he warned me. I approved his plan and he jumped into work. He replaced the springs that weren't right for the door as well as the laser eyes. He didn't stop there though! While working on the springs, he noticed some additional moving parts that were major areas of concern and contacted home base. They provided approval to replace these pieces on the house and he did so. Once the repair was complete, he showed me how he could float the door with one finger and that it also wouldn't rush to the ground as it previously did. The sensors also worked appropriately and the door went up and down properly. Jesse lubed the door, aligned the track and left me with the can for maintenence. Crazy enough...it didn't stop there. Jesse explained the flexible payment options available that are such a blessing considering the impact of covid and the fact that no one plans for their garage door to fail. I just can't say enough good things about Jesse and Precision Garage Door. From start to finish they are A+! Thank you for your help and I will be in touch for any future garage door needs. If you want knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy people working on your garage door, look no further than these guys!

I called out precision door because my springs had broken and my door wasn’t working. The scheduling process was accommodating and they got someone out to us right away. Initially we had Dustin K. come out and he was very professional and explained things very well. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the work done that day but when we did move forward we had David C. come out and he was also very professional. He accomplished the work in about an hour and even lubricated all my hinges for me. The door now works perfectly and it’s so much quieter. This was a very good company to work with and I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

Precision made my day! Highly recommend. Call them first--don't make our mistake! Our spring snapped on our garage door. The first company we called came and said it would take 2 weeks to get the right spring and they couldn't open our door in the meantime. After no reply from the first company (i called them 3 different times) I called Precision. They sent a repairman within the hour and 2 hours later they fixed the spring and a few other issues. We do have a very heavy custom door. I can't believe I was going to wait for 2 weeks. We will likely replace the garage door and will definitely call on Precision. Oh and they were cheaper than the first company too! Matt was our serviceman and he was thorough and explained all the repairs. GREAT SERVICE!! Don't make our mistake--Just Call Precision.

Had a bit of an accident with some door damage. Was given several estimates from necessary repairs to a few "better do it" repairs to an overall remake of the door and all moving parts. Not inexpensive but I chose the full remake, and I am most happy with the results and a 7 yr warranty. Walker was very helpful, easy to understand and did excellent work. Ouch! but it is great to know I won't have to worry about this. I am happy with the 7 year warranty but, at my age, I am usually offered a life time warranty.

We had a cable break on our garage door on Tuesday evening around 5pm (door was open about 2 feet and wouldn’t go up or down—-stuck) We called Precision Door Service ( have used in the past) we got apt. window for next morning between 8-12…..Wednesday morning service tech Tim Tomlinson called at 8am and said he was 10 min away..he arrived about 8:10am and was gone at about 8:35 with repair complete (replaced 2 cables and adjusted the door) Precision Door honored the warranty we purchased back in 2005 for the repair! Tim was very professional and did excellent work..we highly recommend this company if you have any garage door issues

Very positive experience overall. My garage door broke thanks to a problem with the opener. Matt came out after a snowstorm (through half a foot of snow!) to get my trapped car out and make arrangements to fix the door. Huge thank you for that! The door was fixed the next week; however there was a problem with the installation and a second visit was needed. Kenneth made everything right on the follow-up visit. Tom Palmer was efficient, friendly, and explained everything to me. He completely replaced everything but the actual door and was done in about 3 1/2 hours. When we got the estimate for the repair, we knew we were getting overcharged (and later confirmed this by calling around for other estimates); but we really wanted the door fixed before the work week and made the decision to just do it that evening. I'd definitely recommend Precision if you need a repair done quickly and thoroughly, but if you have the luxury of time to gather a few estimates from other repair services, you'll likely save several hundred dollars.

They came with a fully equipped truck so that they could fix it on site too. My garage door opener finally quit after 35 years. My garage doors are made of wood and heavy. Precision Garage Door came out and took a look. The tech said the dead opener couldn't be fixed. My doctor sometimes says the same about me. The difference is the tech had a number of replacement openers to choose from. He gave me the options and the specs. No pressure. Since my shoulder is bad and I can't paint anymore without pain, I came up with the idea to replace the doors and dead opener. The tech gave me a quote. Things are more expensive these days. I'm 75 and haven't bought even an opener for 30 years. I chose from my wish list with his technical assistance and an installer was scheduled right then and there. Three days later, Matt showed up in his Precision Garage Door truck, installed two doors and one opener (the other opener still worked) and did a great job. Excellent craftsmanship and kept me in the loop throughout the process as needed. Everything looks good and operates perfectly. When he was finished, I didn't have the heart to ask him to program the openers to my vehicle and my phone. He would have done it if I'd asked. Overall good experience with the technicians, David and Jason. They arrived as scheduled and listened carefully as we explained the problem and our concerns about work recently performed by another company. After inspecting the door they explained the problems they had found and provided several options. We chose the more complex and expensive solution which had a significantly greater expected service life and warranty. The work took 3-4 hours to perform, but the door now works properly and we have greater confidence in its reliability in the years ahead. My only disappointment is that the replacement rollers have 7" shafts that stick out quite noticeably whereas the ones they replaced were much shorter - maybe 3" or so - and were not at all obtrusive. I wonder if they were the only parts available on the truck? UPDATE 06/17/2021: David and Jason just completed swapping out the 7" shaft rollers for 4" shaft rollers and I am totally satisfied with both the quality of the work and the way the garage door looks now! I can't say enough good things about the follow up I received from Chelsea, the office manager, and David, the senior technician, after my original post. All seemed genuinely concerned that I was not 100% satisfied and went out of their way to ensure my complete satisfaction. Great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the company and these two technicians to anyone in need of garage door repair!

My husband had the service person came and paid for the work without checking others. When i took look at the invoice. That is extremely high. maintenance and some part replacements run up to $1500. Dustin came and emergently serviced our broken garage door. the woman over the phone provided excellent and very responsive phone service and Dustin provided great professional and excellent garage repair service. It was repaired within a few hours from the phone call. I would definitely go back to them. it was 1350 dollars with a 3 year warranty to replace 2 coils, all bearings, wire and some snapped hinges and our garage has never been quieter and smoother.

It seemed to be a bit expensive...but the last time they had serviced/replaced springs on the doors was 2012 , so the cost would be about 222.00 per year. Which does seem a bit high? Eric was professional and straightforward in his assessment of the issues that were causing our door to malfunction. We were presented with three clear , detailed options to repair and refurbish our door. options. They were explained in-depth and all of our questions were answered clearly and in a responsible, respectful manner. In less than 24 hrs our garage door went from completely nonfunctional to a new system installed. Sunday evening, our garage door stopped working. Well my garage door hardware basically gave out and the garage door panels came down. I called Precision Garage Door on a Friday morning. The next day someone was at my house. He thought the issue was with the safety eyes so he replaced that and charged $315 which didn't resolve the issue as he then stated it was an issue with the logic board and quoted $900-$1.1k to replace the garage door opener. After looking online, ordering an entire NEW garage door opener (which includes safety eyes) with additional labor cost for install at Home Depot is only around $300-$500 yet I got charged $315 for not even having the issue resolved. Feel extremely ripped off and will not be using this company again. Quote Estimate I received from this company for replacing the garage door opener: Genie 3120: $880 7" Belt Rail for Genie 3120: $160 If you look online the Genie 3120 can be found for the following prices: Genie 3120: $236 7" Belt Rail for Genie 3120: $76.80 Price difference between the two is $700 .... so does it really cost $700 for labor?

Professional same-day-service our 1st time need for replacement garage door springs but I give the 4* rating completely based on my experience with Alex. Called before he arrived, asked me to show him the issue, gave an instant quote in writing, completed the install in 45 minutes. Alex showed me the previous company had used 1.5" and 2.0" mis-matched springs and explained the stress it placed on the undersized spring. Tested the oh door operator, lubricated door section hinges, checked cables and track guides to make sure door operates as designed. Cleaned up his tools and was finished in basically an hour. I'd recommend them if your garage door stops working and your wife can't park in the garage. Give them a call ~

One of $600.00 and one for $405.00. Outstanding service! I didn't happen to have a major problem. The door was fixed without a charge. That's not to say they do it this for free.. Your own mileage may vary. But, along those lines, I will call on Precision in the future when my door needs to be replaced, or more serious work is required. I Highly recommend Precision Door of Columbus!

Great company with great service. Was able to call late at night and set up an appointment for the next day. Even though it was initially a late appointment, I was able to get an earlier time from a cancellation and the tech was quick to respond and stop in. Tech was professional and friendly. A bunch of details below, but the short of it is, would highly recommend. It was the day after Thanksgiving when our garage door stopped working, and we still had family in town. We purchased the door and opener from Sears. Which means no one would come to make a service call since they're basically out of business. I called two other companies before precision, neither of which even answered the phone or returned the messages I left. Then I called precision. I talked to Teresa, who was very helpful and super accommodating. She told me they could have someone out later in the afternoon, which was fantastic. Greg made the service visit, and even called to let us know he would be earlier than expected. I could go on and on about the great job Greg did. He walked me through exactly what the issue was, broke down all of the options and costs, and helped me decide the best and most cost effective way to move forward. All said and done, it was just a couple hours and we had a brand new opener. It actually turns out we had gotten in touch with precision a few years ago before we had our garage door replaced and Greg had been our tech then as well. That was also a good experience. After the whole thing was done, my husband and I both agreed that we should have gone through precision to buy our garage door and opener in the first place. This was the best overall customer service experience I've had in while. And on the day after Thanksgiving with family still in the house, and my husband traveling most of the day taking more family back home, it was just so appreciated.

Precision Door Service of Columbus does a GREAT JOB! I texted the 24-hour service the night before my service call. An appointment was arranged for 8-10 the next morning. ALEX arrived promptly the next morning, diagnosed my garage door opener system and determined that the opener motor was bad. Alex provided three (3) options and costs to fix the problem. (Repair the bad motor, Replace with an equivalent system, or Replace with the newest technology system). I chose to have a new WiFi-capable system installed. Alex removed the old system, installed the new system, cleaned up the garage work area and completed all the paperwork very efficiently. Alex determined the problem and completed the installation within 2 hours. Precision Door Service of Columbus is punctual. The quality of the work is excellent. The cost is fair/reasonable. I had two batteries that went missing they were Two Ryobi 40 Volt batteries and charger. Wanted to use my leaf blower to blow the snow away and then I discovered the battery was going gone. I had the motor on an 18 ft door and 10 ft door installed. They also put weather stripping at the bottom of both doors plus an additional 8 ft door. Tom was my technician and he was great.
