I am generally a “do it yourself” guy, so when I had a garage opener problem I googled the issues, ordered the parts, installed them and no success. Called ASAP, explained what I did, and the malfunction details to Gus. He showed up in about 3hrs. , inspected the unit and said “ I got this”. He made the changes and recognizing that I am a tinkerer, explained the problem and the remedy to me. Price was fare, service excellent. Everything you would want in a service company. Asheville seems to have an abundance of companies that immediately say “you need a new unit” to everything. Rare to find a fair fixer. - ASAP is that company.

The spring on my garage door broke and needed to be replaced. I called ASAP and they were able to send someone out the very next morning (a Saturday). The price I was given was extremely reasonable and given to me up front. There was no additional cost for a Saturday service call which is impressive. The gentleman, Spencer, was on time, friendly and replaced the spring quickly. I was really impressed by and appreciative of the speed, the price, and customer service. This was the first time I've needed any repairs on my garage door but will most definitely be calling ASAP if I have any other issues in the future. I highly recommend them.

I can't recommend this place more highly. After putting my garage door issues off for months, I called ASAP at 10 or 10:30 one morning and they were there by noon that same day. The technician showed me exactly what was wrong with the door (it was missing a bolt) and how to fix it, and even spent ten extra minutes syncing all of my remotes—all included in the very reasonable fee. It's rare to experience service this quick, courteous, and competent. I will absolutely call them again if any other problems with my garage doors come up.

I called to request help for my garage door that broke and they got back to me in no time at all. They were very helpful over the phone and were able to get someone out to look at it the next day. I had a time frame of 2 pm to 4 pm but the technician called me earlier and said he could come sooner. He showed up and explained clearly what needed to be fixed and got it done in under an hour. When our garage door mechanism wouldn’t open first thing in the morning we called at 8 AM and had someone on site that day. It wasn’t a matter of an electrical connection or chain problem- it needed replacement. I had used ASAP Garage Doors previously when the original installer was on a 2 week vacation and wouldn't respond. Gustavo answered when I called and was here that afternoon. We scheduled a repair and he quickly replaced the roll bar. Fast forward 2 years. My garage door began having issues in opening and closing, sometimes requiring 4 or 5 attempts to get the job done. I swept to assure a clean space, cleaned the eye and nothing worked. Called Gustavo on Wednesday and he scheduled an appointment for Friday, 1/3/2020 (today). After checking things out, he recommended a new system (mine was old). I asked when he could do that and he said he could do it today. In less than 2 hours, he and his assistant had installed my new opener, programmed existing key chain fob, the entry code box, door panel opener, and 2 visor openers. I have the utmost confidence that you will find no better service for your garage door needs than with Gustavo and ASAP Garage Doors. Highly recommend them.

Gus came out to the job site soon after my call and was quick to advise me on the best direction to go for making a 90 year old garage door operable again. I ended up going with a new door system for cost & reliability. The color I chose wasn't a stock item and was scheduled to arrive while we were on vacation. What an adventure we had with Gus and ASAP Garage Doors. I called Gus after the torsion spring broke on one of our doors, causing the door to drop and land in a mess of splayed cable and shattered glass that I wasn't going to attempt to fix with my mediocre handyman skills. Gus answered immediately and came out to assess the situation later that day. After explaining that the builder grade doors we had were no longer in production and replacement glass would likely need to be custom cut by another specialist, Gus gave us a quotes for the repair of the torsion spring and for replacement of the doors with several levels of options. We took a little time to weigh our options and do research into which doors we wanted, because we're a bit obsessive like that. I called Gus on a Friday to let him know what we wanted to do and he was at our house on the following Monday to help us finalize the deal and produce the actual price and so on. He explained that the doors we wanted were custom order and would take 3-4 weeks to arrive from the manufacturer. 4 weeks went by and I called Gus on a Wednesday to check in. He answered immediately, calling me by name. He explained that his truck was arriving the next day and once he confirmed that everything was good, he'd call to set up the installation. He called the next day (Thursday) to inform us that the truck that was carrying our doors had been in an accident and the products were damaged. He said we'd have to reorder and wait again. He was very apologetic and quite upset by this news, as were we (obviously). But, we had waited this long and did not want to start the process over with anyone else, so we told him to reorder. On Friday morning, Gus called to tell us that our doors had not been damaged in the accident, they were on another truck and he would have them that afternoon. He told us that his installer, Spencer, would be at our place the following morning (Saturday) at 9:30 to install the doors. Spencer showed up at 9:15 and by 2:00, we had two new, absolutely gorgeous garage doors that completely changed the look of our house. Gus showed up to make sure everything was satisfactory and even brought us a thoughtful gift to thank us for our patience. Clearly, our experience was a bit extraordinary, but Gus was responsive, communicative, and personable throughout. The doors are amazing and Spencer's installation looks top-notch. We would absolutely recommend ASAP Garage Doors for anything from simple repair to complete curb appeal overhaul.

He instantly picked up on my style and suggested two modern, insulated garage doors that look fantastic! The old doors were replaced, everything hauled off and cleaned in one day. Got bearings replaced and a wireless keypad installed less than 24 hours after I called (called around 5pm day before and was at my house at about 10am next day - very fast). Owner installed bearings himself and a tech with the keypad came shortly after. Initial service call was because the door was stuck, another company came by for a service call to the previous owner about sealing the bottom of the door although I bought the house months ago. They attempted to get in from the outside before ringing the doorbell and locked the garage door, I never touch the lock so I was totally clueless. Gus showed up and figured it out immediately, and recommended replacing some old parts, the garage door is over 25 years old. I asked about a keypad entry and he helped me out same day.

Gus has made 2 trips to my house to fix my garage door problem. In both cases, the problem did not manifest so Gus could only make a small tension adjustment. He would not accept payment either visit as hard as I tried. If the problem persists, Gus said we would probably need to replace the motor.

Today is Christmas Eve, 2019. I tried to open my garage door this morning and it would not open. I called a garage door repair company that we had used before. I heard a message that said we will be closed today and December 25. Contact us on Thursday, December 26. Realizing that I could not get my car out of the garage, I needed a repair soon. Gus is the man! Had a broken torsion spring on our garage door, and it was too heavy even for 2 people to team-lift, so our cars were stuck. Came and got the broken spring replaced, advised us we should replace both and I agreed - if one spring broke, the other was likely not far behind. Even made some DIY suggestions for the garage door that I could do myself, was very impressed with his level of professionalism and courtesy.
