My appointment started on time. To be clear my appointment was for 3 pm. I walked in at 2:45 pm and checked in at their kiosk in less than 5 minutes. By 3 pm I was already called, in an examination room and doing the preliminaries. The staff member working with me was polite and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and explained everything he was doing. When the Ophthalmologist came in we went over my test results and she did her own examination. The reference material given was clear and she was very helpful in recommending where to get some of the eye care products I needed, even giving coupons. I have no complaints.

Almost entirely new staff since the last time I visited in late 2019. Very clean inside, huge selection of glasses frames for men and women, and short wait time to be seen. Staff was knowledgeable about my visit history, based on notes taken by previous staff and doctors. However, I cannot give 5 stars because of the 45 minute wait in eye dilation after an 830am appointment.

I love the self check-in process, easiest thus far. Office staff very friendly and helpful. As well as the optics center. I received such a thorough eye exam. Every single step was explained and why it was being done. For years I had no idea what was being done or why. Truly hope things stay this way. Definitely a different experience from past visits. The staff seemed to be able to focus and give quality care due to not being over burdened.

My child and I actually liked this location better, we were pouting because we had to drive more than 30 minutes to get there unlike 5 minutes to our home location. Service was prompt and pleasant,all smiles on the drive back 😅😅. The chairs in the waiting area are not the best in sanitary terms for all my germophobes, I'm sure that will be addressed.

My whole experience at Delaware Eye Care Center was wonderful. I felt that they really cared about my eyes and me. Amanda (the Tech) to Dr. Misty Wrap was thorough and kind. She made sure I knew what she was doing and why. Dr. Wrap looked for the medical things like glacoma, cataracts, and other important problems that could pop up. Afterwards she explained her observations and recommendations. I am pleased with my visit and will continue with this practice.

The staff at Delaware Eye Care Center is courteous and knowledgeable. The wait was maybe 5 minutes, barely long enough for me to finish my paperwork. The waiting room, eye exam rooms, and ocular area were tidy and comfortable. I was seen quickly and the process was convenient. They take AmeriHealth Caritas, which was surprising, as I called many eye care facilities in the area that did not accept my insurance. I wish I could remember the name of the doctor and assistant that I saw. They were so nice and informative. Can't wait to pick up my glasses in two weeks!

Went to the DE Eyecare on Main St in Newark, DE Wednesday Aug 14, 2019. They were very kind to me and my daughter. First off I called on Monday because my daughter lost her glasses at the airport and she is leaving for college on aug 23. She cant drive without her glasses. When I called they didnt have appointments until after she was leaving. I explained the situation and Nedra was awesome. She went and talked to her manager and then she searched for appt cancellations or if they could squeeze her in somewhere and there was still nothing. Then Tuesday she called me and gave us an appt for Wednesday. We were so appreciative. When we got there Wednesday, the staff was so nice, friendly, and caring. They were very efficient and diligent in making sure her eyes were healthy and getting the correct prescription . I thank DE EYECARE for their kindness, help, and support.

Went here for a laser iridotomy. The staff is super kind, patient and understanding. I was super nervous but Dr. Doyle did an awesome job and I was home in an hour. He explained everything in detail and made sure I was at ease . Both times I have went, I have had to wait atleast 30 mins before being seen, but when you get awesome care, it doesn't really matter! My family has been patients here for a few years now. The optical side of the business is horrible. The 2 ladies that work there are nasty. They talk to you like your an idiot, they constantly argue with you, and have very short abrupt answers. However on the office side, I love Dr Doyle. The only thing that is frustrating is the new fees and policies the office have which is ridiculous. Not only do they charge every year a contact fitting fee that was once included after the setup if you remained a customer, they never notified me that the policy changed. I am not sure we will remain here. As for the optical side do yourself a favor and get your contacts or frames/ lenses from someone who isn't rude and appreciates your business.

Today I went here for a routine eye exam and after having my eye pressure checked I passed out. I woke up not knowing where I was or what day it was. I can't thank enough Dr. Kumar, Sarah and all the other nurses that took care of me for almost an hour and made sure I was recovered 100% before letting me go. I was parked on the street and they even put more quarters in my spot because I wasn't able to even leave the chair without getting dizzy. Kudos to them.

I have never had any issues with this office. I arrive and usually seen with in 20-30 minutes. Which is typical for any dr visit as patients before you can take longer for exams which is not controlled by the technicians but the patients. I have seen multiple reviews about contacts and contact lens fitting fees. 90% of insurance companies do not cover a fitting fee, very few do, it is the patients responsibility to check what their insurance covers ( I checked and mine did) second the fee covers them spending extra time to make sure you can put them and take them out and they fit well which is typically not covered by insurance as contacts can be considered cosmetic (you can choose glasses for which most is covered). I have also seen posts about the glasses fitting they are a separate company that rents space from the eye doctor for selling you glasses so blaming Delaware eye care for a tenant not following sign in sheets makes no sense. If you have a problem with the eye glass people make sure you separate your posts. I do not work for Delaware eye care nor have any affiliation expect being a customer for over 5 years.

They've been my eye doc for a long time... wait times are hit or miss. (As with any doc office). The staff is not very "connected" but seem to work as a team effort. They have made advances and now have an EMR (electronic medical record) computer system. Im hoping that will organize them. I think that is the ace they needed.I feel well cared for I'd say..
