I highly recommend the Virginia Beach Eyemart Express. The staff is awesome. They are patient, friendly, and very helpful. Ellie, Ni, and Michelle are great! The store is clean and boasts a great variety of frames. They service my whole family of glasses wearers. We always buy at least two pairs each! The quick same day service is a fantastic bonus to an already super capable business!

I had an unexpected event on a Saturday morning, my only pair of glasses broke. I called and spoke with Michelle and she could not have been more helpful. I live over an hour and a half away, so I needed to confirm they could make my glasses before I made the drive. When I walked in the door, it was like being greeted by an old friend. They made me 2 pair in about 90 minutes! When I picked up my glasses, another associate helped me and she was also fantastic. This place must have excellent customer service training. Very professional, very professional attitude and friendly. Went in around noon and by 2:00 p.m. my prescription glasses were ready. Like the same day service. Also like the way they make sure you are comfortable before you leave the store with your purchase. Also like the buy one get one free promotion. Around August 2021 -> Went in there to get new prescription eyeglasses with transition lenses & was greeted by David W. I had the prescription from my eye doctor, picked out the frame, & David W. treated me like a professional. He laid out the costs along with the insurance; I got what I paid for when it came to what lenses I wanted in the prescription eyeglasses along with the warranty Eyemart Express had to offer. David W. was upfront, honest, & straightforward with how the process works along with taking care of me as a customer. On 12/16/2022 - Repeat Customer -> Came into Eyemart Express to get prescription safety eyeglasses for my workplace. Both Dani & Nolan were very professional & took care of me as a customer. I had a great deal with my eyeglasses as Dani laid out the costs with my insurance plans; it was even done faster than I expected.

This Eyemart Express is located along Virginia Beach Blvd. basically just west of the Town Center area of the city. There is an optometrist located right next to the place as well. My visits here were on November 8 and 15, 2021. I had my regular annual eye exam in the spring. There wasn't any changes with my vision the last few times, so I hadn't gotten any glasses for a while. Since I still had some funds left in an FSA, I decided to use the benefits this year and get some prescription sunglasses instead. I had looked at who my plan included, and after looking around, I decided to come here given the high reviews. It wasn't too busy when I came in. Dave was there to assist me when I came in. I had my prescription with me and then we went over options after I let him know what I was looking for. As he was getting the prescription copied, he said I could go look at the glasses. After looking through several options, I found the par that I thought would work well for me (which it has since). After choosing the glasses, he went over all the options that are available, both those that are covered under my plan and those that weren't part of the plan. The important thing to note is that there was no sales pressure to do any upgrades and such. I did end up agreeing to some of those upgrades, and I am glad I did. Due to getting some of those upgrades, it would be about two weeks before the new glasses would be available, which I was fully expecting. Fast forward one week to November 15th. I got a text message from them that morning telling me that my glasses were ready for pickup. It's always nice to get them early. Later that day, I came in to pick up the glasses. Dave was working with someone else at the time I came in, so I worked with a different worker there to get the glasses and make sure it was a good fit for me. After making some adjustments, it ended up being a good fit for me to use going forward too. Overall, I have had an excellent experience this first time getting glasses from them. When it comes time to get glasses again in the future, as long as they still take my eye insurance plan, I will definitely be coming back here. If you are looking for a place to get glasses, you definitely need to check them out.

An absolutely wonderful experience. I've been going to the optometrist and ophthalmologist since I was around 8 years old so nearly 40 some years. The nurses were excellent, knowledgeable, patient, and all of them had a great sense of humor as well. The physician was quick ,but not too quick. He asked questions did not mind if I asked questions. Was actually excellent in getting my prescriptions correct for my eyeglasses and my contact lenses. I have very difficult prescriptions and they came out wonderful as well as I used the eyemart next door for my glasses and got an excellent price and extremely well made glasses. I have a good friend that also got their glasses and sunglasses there and they referred me. I am extremely happy and most definitely will be going back as long as I live anywhere near the office.

Great customer service! I went in with a pair of sunglasses to see if they could add the prescription for them but the way the frames were made, they could not. However, Michele immediately asked if she could show me some options they had I might be interested in. She showed me a few pairs and then I ended up picking out not only a pair of sunglasses but a very similar style for my regular eyeglasses. They had them ready the same day! Michele was so pleasant to work with and I got some great discounts here! GO CHECK THEM OUT! They have a good selection!

If you’re a long time glasses wearer, then you know how hard it is to find frames you like. Well, I had zero expectations going in to find one pair of eyeglasses, let alone 2 and a pair of sunglasses! After trying on almost every pair on the wall, they open all the drawers revealing so many more options. Turn around time for progressives was just a week too! Im saying this from personal experience, this place has the most professional, friendliest Staff, and fastest service in and the Hampton roads.. not to mention their unbelievable skills and knowledge of making sure you get the most comforably adjusted fitted glasses. I broke my prescription glasses just recently, and on that same day, they were able to have two new pairs with an updated exam script completed within an hour!! They have a i house lab that made this possible instead of having to wait for a month like everyother optical store ive been to. PS i dont ever leave reviews but its the least i could do especially with my first experience with them. Thank you so much!!!

Unfortunately the coating started peeling off my lenses after only a few months I blame myself & EE I wasn't aware I shouldn't use textured microfiber cloth & was not told proper way to care for glasses (my 1st pair) Lenses look horrible now & google search claims no way to fix they'll have to be replaced Probably won't go to EE again I really wanted to be a repeat customer here

I had the best experience ever buying glasses today. A few days back my gorgeous normally very well behaved dog ate my glasses. I am extremely night blind so I panicked over it getting dark early and not being able to see to drive. I arrived at 5:45 and by 6:37 I was on my way home with new glasses in hand. Less than one hour start to finish. I always get very stressed trying to pick a pair that look good and Ms. Ni helped me pick the perfect pair! I won’t go anywhere else again!! The store was very efficient in assisting me when I went in to pick out and order new glasses. I had not planned on purchasing new glasses right now but my current glasses broke and the only other pair I had was an old prescription. They told me it would be 14 days before my new glasses would arrive which is the average turn around time when I had ordered glasses from other places in the past. I was beyond happy when I was notified my glasses were ready after only 8 days. Great job and I will be ordering from them again in he next time I need glasses!

No high pressure from sales staff....,just helpful suggestions & honest evaluations when comparing choice of materials & accessories. And what a bonus it was to get 2 pairs for $150. I am a new fan & highly recommend them! Another bonus is the optometrist Dr Miller is right next door. This makes it a one-stop shopping experience. I purchased two pairs of glasses here. I could not see out of them, so I went back to my eye doctor. He said that I'd had really good lenses before, so that was the problem. I went back to Eyemart Express, and they put better lenses in for me (with an additional charge, of course). I still could not see and was worried about what to do next. I went back in today, and they refunded all of my money with no hassle. I appreciated all of their effort, and I would recommend them.

Go here. Seriously. If you need glasses, especially if you need them quickly and want exceptional and friendly service, go HERE. I visited yesterday with my eye exam results from another location to pick out glasses and was greeted quickly and very friendly. There are COVID care and safety policies in place but nothing that would make anyone uncomfortable and you are encouraged to shop and try on a great selection of frames. I chose two frames, one for two pair of clear eyeglasses and one frame for two pair of sunglasses. I had an educator discount, the store discount and my insurance. The person who helped me entered every possibility into the computer to obtain for me the best price. She was very patient. I ended up saving $243.00 with all of the discounts. But, also amazingly, my four new pair of glasses were scheduled to be ready in two hours. So I went shopping and ran some errands to kill some time rather than go home. After every pair was complete and ready, I received a text letting me know. Instead of two hours, my four pair of glasses were ready in 67 minutes. This is seriously impressive and also saved me an hour and a half round trip back to pick them up. So, I saved a LOT of money, worked with great people (the lady who fitted my glasses at pickup was wonderful and so friendly. She fit my glasses perfectly!), saved a lot of time and gas and turned this task that I had put off into a lovely experience. I cannot recommend this eyewear company enough and plan on being a customer for life! I also wanted to add that they offer many different options and extras for your glasses. I always get scratch resistance but am usually not interested in other extras. While they were available and offered, there was absolutely no pressure to add them unlike other places that I have shopped which is really appreciated. Additionally the prices on frames and lenses is the lowest that I have ever encountered and I feel like I have four great quality pairs of glasses. So not only fantastic service but very good prices!

This was one of the best retail experiences I have ever experienced . The General Manager Matt Jennings greeted me as I entered the store, questioned me concerning my needs, thoroughly explained my options, and took me to the frame wall. I was able to make my decision quickly and Matt processed my order and I was on my way in less than fifteen minutes. I received a text within an hour telling me that my glasses were ready. I couldn’t believe it. When I returned Matt was waiting for me with my new glasses. He checked the fit and explained the warranty, explained care and cleaning , and gave me two hard glasses cases and soft cleaning rags. I was in and out in less than ten minutes, With a smile , he told me he was looking forward to helping me with sunglasses. Exceptional employee, service, and product quality. I went in to get new glasses and I knew the ones I wanted. I have purchased them twice before. I couldn't find the ones I wanted and Michelle heard what I was asking for and she found them in the cabinet. They hadn't been put out yet. Michelle was great!!!

The physical location was slightly difficult as we passed right by it th the first time and had to turn around to get there. Best landmark, in my opinion, is Sherman Williams or the big PHO79 sign. Dave, our optical tech, was excellent. He made my daughter feel comfortable. He let her take her time, change her mind, and try on as many as she needed. He thoroughly explained the measurements and insurance part to me. Her glass were ready for pickup 27 minutes later. Amazing!!! Highly recommended.

Within another hour, the lenses and frames were completed for pickup. Would come back here if glasses are ever needed again, and I strongly recommend this place for your eyewear needs.

I have never heard of EyeMart Express so I was a little skeptical about going here. The eye techs were very knowledgeable about how insurance worked. There were enough styles to make me happy. However I would have liked more brands such as Coach, etc. even with good insurance I paid over $200 for one pair and my second one was just as much. However I did purchase lens insurance and EyeMart had frame insurance for a year. So I purchased just one of the glasses for insurance. The techs work with you on price. The fantastic service is most glasses are same day service. They have a lab on site.

This is the only eyeglass shop I’ll go to from now on! They have several discount options including a military discount. They’re very knowledgeable and super friendly. My son had one eyeglass cushion missing and even though he was getting a new pair the next day they still changed out the one cushion and added a new one to the other side at no extra cost. We got two pair of glasses with one being progressive lenses for just over $200
