I’ve been coming to St. Lucy’s a little over 2 years and every time I have the most pleasant experience. The staff is always so friendly and the eye exams are very thorough and professional and don’t feel rushed. Dr. Worrell is also so kind! And this past time I must compliment the lady who helped fit my glasses. She was so patient and really took her time making sure my glasses were perfect. They have many selections for frames including great designer options. I would definitely recommend coming here for your annual eye check ups.

Staff was incredibly friendly and very prompt as soon as you walk in the door. Wait times are very reasonable. The provider was very thorough and friendly. Coming from a large ophthalmology practice in another state to here had me a little nervous but I found the new place to handle all my vision needs.

Dr Stephen and his entire staff are friendly, efficient and professional. I drive from St Pete, where there are dozens of eye centers, to St Lucy’s, because it is so worth it. Dr Stephen takes his time and explains everything about my eye health and vision. The office is clean and full of current technology machines to check vision status and possible eye diseases. His front office and his tech, Sarah, are fantastic. I look forward to my eye exam next year at St Lucy’s!

Best eye doctor place I've been to. Staff are always nice and helpful. Dr. Worrell is very knowledgeable and takes the time and patience to actually communicate with you unlike any other doctors I've experienced. Had a good experience here with doctor as well as technicians. No upselling retina screening unlike other places where it is mandatory. Maria is very helpful and went beyond expectations to help me find new glasses and patiently made adjustments to get them to fit properly. The only negative I can think of is wait times can be longer but it’s worth for the excellent service they provide.

I was a patient at St. Lucy's for over four years. I saw Dr. Worrell, and she was fantastic. Originally, I left a negative review regarding my last experience with scheduling and insurance. However, within 30 minutes of my review, Dr. Worrell called me personally and left a message apologizing for my experience and explaining what was being done to correct it. Although I have had to switch to another optometry office, as St. Lucy's is not in network with my current insurance, I would recommend St. Lucy's to anyone in the Tampa area. It's rare that you find a business so quick and willing to make things right, so what Dr. Worrell did speaks volumes about how much they care about their patients at this practice.

Always friendly, happy and works hard to treat you like an individual not a numbered customer. Have moved to Clearwater but still come back because of the exceptional treatment I get. These days that’s rare. Insures you are involved with the treatment plan and explains what needs explaining. The hours are also a Hugh plus.

I have been visiting Dr Stephen for all sorts of eye problems since 2019. I have never met a better eye specialist who does critical thinking combined with extraordinary expertise and humane behavior. The politeness, ethics, professionalism of the whole staff at St Lucy’s can be easily felt in your very first visit. My son had a deteriorating myopia since he was a small kid, it reached alarming levels of -4 at age of 8. The overnight lens therapy by Dr Stephen was handled so well that my son’s myopia is now totally in control at the age of 12. He even dealt extremely well with our family other eye conditions like dry eyes. He is a gem of optometrist and an extraordinary human being. Very rare nowadays a doc with critical thinking and incremental approach to solving patient's problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was a little nervous going to a new eye doctor especially now with the Covid cases rising in this area. However, as soon as I walked in, I was put at ease. The receptionist took my temp and sanitized the pen and clipboard she handed me. They had sanitizing stations at the entry way. There was no one waiting in the large waiting area, which told me they had well staggered appointments. Everyone was correctly wearing their mask. I saw Dr Heather and her staff. They were very thorough with my exam. I found Dr Heather to be very knowledgeable in vision care and she was able to put my mind at ease about previous vision concerns. I didn't know how much I was missing with my previous eye doctor. I am so happy I made the switch! 01/20/2023 Update: I continue to be pleased with services at St Lucy's. I just love how Dr. Heather Worrell is so attentive to her patients. She is very knowledgeable in eye care and I always learn something new everytime I visit. The entire staff is professional and attentive. This is my one stop shop for my eyecare!!

By far the best experience I've ever had at an optometrist's office (and I had plenty that I thought were "great" before today). My wife has been seeing Dr. Worrell for years and since day one she has been saying I needed to switch to St. Lucy's. She was right. From making the appointment, to completing new patient paperwork online, everything was so easy and efficient. The exam itself was like no other - using more technology than I ever saw in any of my prior doctors' offices (didn't even have to dilate my eyes as a result - sign me up!) and very thorough. Dr. Stephen was amazing, taking the time to explain the results of the tests he and Kelsey (another great member of the staff) performed. Highly, highly recommend....even if you're happy with your current doctor. Wish I listened to my wife earlier (just don't tell her).

I had a good experience overall but I just wished I had been informed about the fact that the contact lens fitting included an additional fee that I had to pay out of pocket (plus all the extra time I had to stay there when actually I had to go back to work). Also, there was a misunderstanding about my request to get new, updated prescriptions for both contact lenses and glasses, which made me leave a little confused.

I've been going to see Dr Stephen *forever* (ok well not forever, but at least since 1999) and I also take my child to Dr Stephen. I also recommended St Lucy's to a friend and he loved it as well. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else honestly. Everyone here is so nice and they are extremely professional. They work really hard to ensure that all your needs are taken care of and addressed. I've worn both contacts and glasses and my child has worn glasses and also does orthokeratology (highly recommend and Dr Stephen is an expert in this) and I will also trust my child to Dr Stephen to do Lasik when the time comes. From the check in where they greet you by name to the initial tests where they ask you questions and do measurements to the eye exam to the folks in the eye wear section, everyone to a T is professional, courteous, and kind.

Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly - the building, both inside and out were clean and doctor that examined me [Heather] was incredible. I visited St Lucy's for my first eye exam in nearly 5 years. They took excellent care of me. Every member of staff I worked with was helpful, friendly, and personable. They walked me through each recommended test, and very thoroughly explained what they were doing and why. Dr. Heather was very patient as we worked through tweaking my prescription in, gave me the full details on my retinal scan, and by comparing to my 5+ year old prescription was able to give me the run-down on how my eyes had changed. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, and I will be returning for annual checkups. St Lucy's also has an excellent selection of frames. Their staff helped me picking out a couple pairs, gave details on options for lenses, and stepped through exactly how my insurance benefits were being applied. To anyone looking for a new vision center, I strongly recommend giving St Lucy's your consideration.

I love this place. Dr. Heather is very caring. She was very patient with me as well as her assistant. She listens to what her client has to say and answers them in a way they can understand. I'm so glad I have that kind of service and not just in and out like a fly. I also like that I see her every time I go back. In many other places you never know who's going to be the Dr. The staff and Dr. Heather treated me like I was family. The place is: quite, clean, professional. They have a large selection of brand named frames to choose from. They also can fit you with hard or soft contacts. There is handy cap parking as well as a ramp access. Call them, you'll be glad you did!

Dr. Worrell spends time with her patients. She never makes your visit seem rushed. She shows you pictures from your last visit so you can compare how your eyes are doing. She doesn’t rush you when you are deciding which lens you see through clearer. I’ve been a patient of hers for a few years, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. As soon as I walk into the St. Lucy's Center, everyone is very friendly and attentive. Even as I left the building, the acknowledgment from the front-desk was very refreshing. The staffs are personable and polite as always. I used my lunch hour for my appointment for reading glasses and I was out of the door within the hour - which includes exam and picking out the frames. No one was rushing...everyone was just very punctual and I feel like they respect my time. Walking into a new vision center, or any medical center can be daunting to new patients. However, in my personal experience I believe that St.Lucy's does a great job making new clients feel comfortable. Personally when I walked in I didn't know what to expect. However, once I was attended they made me feel at ease, they were courteous, explained everything in detail, and answered all of my questions. By far it has been the best experience I have had at a vision center. That being said, I have worn glasses for more than 15 years now and have been to several different centers but St.Lucy's really exemplafied what great vision care should be like.
