Dr. Patel and his staff are very friendly, personable personalities, and simply work well as a team. I was hesitant to come in with my toddler and newborn as that’s a struggle on its own. However, the staff assisted me with my children while I completed my appointment. They demonstrated compassion, patience, and knowledge on new equipment to properly direct my care. Dr. Patel was very informative and provided great care and attention to my concerns. Extremely pleased with the quality of service, brands and frame available to choose from. My insurance benefits were thoroughly explained to make a better financial decision when purchasing contacts and glasses. Thank you for your high quality service! Edit** I wanted to add that I had scheduled an appointment online and the very next day, I received a call from the staff and got in the same day!

I’ve been coming to this optical office my whole life. I love all the employees there, they have always made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. I love the whole crew that has been working there for many years 🧡 they are truly wonderful people once you talk to them. They will have your best interest at heart. I was sad to hear the previous doctor had sold his office but the transitioning to Dr. Patel couldn’t have gone better. I love what he has done to the office, and Dr.Patel hands down is an amazing professional. I am so happy to see this office blossom into what it is becoming. So, I have not been to the eye doctor in many many years. In going to this location, I found it to be very bright clean and nice looking. I was greeted right away with a smile. When I was taken back after a very very short wait I was happily surprised at how comprehensive my exam was. The doctor took a great deal of time explaining things to me which I greatly appreciated. I definitely will be back and if any friends ask I would be happy to recommend them to I Care optical

This was my first time here and I couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone I came in contact with was so helpful and friendly. The girl that did the exam was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Patel took his time with me and explained things to me that my previous Dr. never took the time to do. You can be professional and still be friendly but I think a lot of Dr.’s offices miss that boat. Dr. Patel and his employees run a top notch office!

My wife and went to this facility because of a friend. Well, they were unbelievable. Everyone was very professional and took very good care of us. The doctor has a very good bedside manner and makes one feel very relaxed. The doctor even explained what he found during the exam. The price was also very nice. We used to go to LensCrafters before and we're charged twice as much. Not going there anymore. Needless to say, we have found a new place to take care of our eyes.

I was so nervous going to my yearly eye exam with a new doctor, but my mind was put at ease immediately. The office looks fabulous and they aren't even done with the refurbish! Dr. Patel was enthusiastic, friendly, and so knowledgeable. He took his time and answered all my questions. My concerns with my eyesight and my contacts were taken seriously. What a wonderful experience here at I-Care Optical. Another doctor was subbing in for Dr. Patel when I went in for my eye exam (which I shamefully had not gotten one in 5+ years), and both him and the entire staff were so pleasant! I ordered glasses which quickly arrived a week later. When I went to pick them up, I briefly met Dr. Patel and he was so friendly! Did I mention the staff are a great team of individuals? So happy I decided to make an appointment here. From the moment you walk in the door your welcome. The office is in the middle of renovation and looks amazing already. Dr. Patel is amazing, he’s very friendly and informative.The staff is great, and walks you through the whole process (First pair of glasses). They made it a very personal and made it feel like you’ve known them for years. Very family friendly environment, which is a plus for someone like me who has a little one who doesn’t want to sit still. The family and I will be making this our new home for all eye needs. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Patel at my eye exam today. He was outstanding!!! He had a great personality, very friendly. He was very thorough and took the time to explain everything. He gave great advice for eye health in my day to day life and work life, where I get a lot of eye strain from looking at a computer 12 hours a day. He was very patient with my questions so I never felt rushed. His assistant was her usual very friendly, patient self so I felt very much at ease. The rest of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The new doctor is excellent. He takes his time and explains everything he is doing. My husband was really impressed and he hadn't been to the eye doctor for about 7 years. We will definitely be going back to see him next year. I would highly recommend him. I had another great experience with Dr. Patel. On January he told me that the trouble I was having seeing was because I had double cataracts. After having surgery on both eyes I returned to be checked by Dr. Patel. He gave me a thorough exam and explained what to look for in the future. He really takes him time with his patients. He even took the time to send his notes to the surgeon about his exam. Now I need to replace my new glasses and the wonderful staff are really working with me to try and keep the cost as low as possible. They really try and help you and they are very patient. You will not regret going to Dr. Patel.

I just had my annual eye exam and it went great. They were ready for me right at my appointment time and got the checks for macular degeneration and glaucoma done quickly. Next they showed me to the Doctor’s examining room and he came in after only a minute or so. He evaluated my old prescription and we agreed it needed to be changed a little. He also checked for any signs of nerve damage or cataracts. Then I picked out new frames and the technician processed an order for the new frames and lenses. Everything was handled quickly, professionally, and in a friendly manner. I recommend this practice very highly.

i was a patient here for a few years and saw dr efre and more recently dr patel. dr patel definitely took his time in explaining the process of determining my prescription, and took the time to address my concerns towards my migraines. i have been wearing glasses nearly my entire life and never had a doctor as much attention to detail as dr patel did. no doctor had asked me how i wore my glasses, (i wear it lower on my nose) which had a factor on how well i could see through my glasses. i had no idea! i have worked with many doctors in my career and can definitely tell dr patel has a passion for what he does and ensures his patients have the best care possible. the exam fees are very reasonable for patients without insurance and they have great price range for lenses. overall i loved dr efre and i think he made a great decision in choosing dr patel to take over his practice.

I absolutely love the doctor here, he is very personable and thorough. Recently, however I went by the office to get my progressive, photochromic, super flex, advance coating lenses moved into a new frame so I could wear them. The technician there refused to assist me with this since they were not purchased through them. I even explain to him about the lenses being expensive, he just shrugged and said sorry (like he didn't care). Claiming that since there were no screws to loosen the frame to remove the lenses, he was unable to do it. I ended up going to Visionworks and less than FIVE minutes I had my lenses moved into the new frames!! At NO CHARGE!! This really has me rethinking where I get my eye care from.

I started with Dr. Efre about 4 years ago for my eye care at that time I worked in Tampa and it was convenient. I live in Tarpon and decided to go to a local doctor and found that I was going back for adjustments many times before my vision was corrected. Last year I started working in St. Pete so I tried someplace in St. Pete and had to return many times and ended up settling for the last year for a not so perfect solution. So this week made the drive back to Tampa to I-Care Optical and I was once again satisfied on the first visit. Dr.Efre really listens to what I am experiencing and he found the solution. He is caring and competent!.
