Jenny was so sweet and made my visit fun. I’ve been going to Dr. Wehner for years. She is kind, not a pushy saleswoman and makes me feel she truly cares about my well-being. I’ve been to other places where I feel they’re trying to get as much out of my insurance as they can. Not here. It’s about me and what I need, NOT what they can get out of my insurance. I appreciate my yearly visit and know they have the latest technology to detect even minor concerns early on. I feel safe and well cared for here.

Cannot say enough about the amazing care I received on Christmas Eve!! I live in Florida and while visiting family had an eye issue. Dr David, Nick and staff were so kind, accommodating and I was in great hands from the moment I arrived. After a thorough exam Dr Seibel was able to address my issue and I’m so thankful for his kindness and ability to quickly get me back on the mend. Outstanding! I needed to check out a potentially serious problem and they were able to see me that day. The technician was extremely proficient and professional running through the tests. Dr. Friederich took the time to explain all the results, perform more tests and answer all my questions. Fortunately there wasn't a tear in the retina and I'll be seeing them for a follow up. This was my and my daughters (the patient) very first ever eye appt. Zoey went in scared at first , but right away the staff made her feel at ease. The nurse was absolutely awesome with her as was the doctor that seen her. It turned out to be an enjoyable experience for my little girl. Every time I walk into Vision Care Consultants, I'm greeted with smiles & warm hellos! The reception staff are most wonderful! One day I was kinda in a bad mood, Stephanie was checking me in & could see it written on my face. She asked me if I was feeling ok & she was able to talk to me about something, but it got me laughing a lot. I felt so much better. And then everytime Dr Fredrichs walks in my room he greets me with a huge warm hug. He always makes me feel better. I've been seeing him for over 10 years & he was my daughter's eye Dr also before she went away to school. He still asks about her. I wish I switched to VCC years ago. I went to other reputable eye care consultants but never received as detailed instructions during my eye exam. All the equipment works, unusual at my last consultant, so I left with complete knowledge of the health of my eye as well as other possible health concerns. I work in the medical profession and it takes a lot to WOW me. Well this practice did that easily! This was my first visit here. The practice itself is very nice and clean. After the use of every piece of equipment my assistant sanitized them before we moved on. They had several pieces of equipment to help with your eye exam. Dr Frederick was the best! Very friendly and knowledgeable.

My visit with Dr Wehner and her staff went really well. Dr Wehner is compassionate and professional. She understands that the patient has feelings and needs support in addition to medical help. The tests were given by the staff (I don't remember her name) she was professional, patient and helpful. Although there were some medical concerns Dr Wehner explained why I had some problems and what the solution could be in a few months. I feel very comfortable with my visits with Dr Wehner and her staff.

Jenny (or Jenna?) was super at her job. Arrianne is the nicest, sweetest person I have ever dealt with on the phone or in person. (There must be an angel missing from heaven.) I received very good care and attention from the doctor and staff today. I was very pleased with the doctor's thorough exam and care of an issue that I was concerned with, however I was not thrilled with the technician putting numbing drops into my eyes, prior to removing my contact lenses. I was mad at myself for not remembering it myself, but it is her job to remember. I realize people make mistakes, but seemed kind of careless. The doctor assured me that it would not have any harmful effects, so thank goodness.

Update 2022- Professional services for the medical vision exam are A+++- sadly I was asked to pay 835.00 for a new pair of glasses which is 4x the normal asking price anywhere else - had to say no and ended up paying 235.00 at another lense crafter place.

Very knowledgeable and professional eye doctors. I definitely recommend this office. Dr. Frederich discovered that I had an eye disease called Keratoconus. For years I was diagnosed with having a stigmatism, which is treated completely different. The staff is always friendly, helpful and super nice to deal with as well.

Dr. Wehner and her staff are very polite and thorough. Feel like this was the most comprehensive eye exam I’ve had and I’ve been wearing glasses for more years than I will mention. The only thing I’m not fond of is frame shopping. The price of the frames are not provided until you have them look them up. As a consumer, this is a big turn off for me. I would prefer to see if they fall in my benefit range while I’m choosing frames.

With five members in my family, we spend a lot of time here. The staff and doctors are great. There are A couple of things that I had brought up while there, that I wish they would work on… Number one, providing patients with rebate coupons for contacts. I spend a lot of money yearly on Contacts. I am lucky I know about using rebates. I asked about a rebate at the counter and the young girl did not know what a rebate was… I spent over $1000 on Contacts this year with my insurance. I was able to get a couple hundred dollars back by filling out a rebate. I had to do this research on my own. I used to go to an eye doctor that provided a coupon for rebates with each contact order. Also, I wish they would provide a bin for recycled contact cases . I wear dailies and people don’t know that you can actually recycle the cases. I take them to a different eye doctor to recycle.

Excellent excellent excellent service and care provided by all members of the staff here from front of the house to the doctors. Customer service was number one. I felt as though I was their only priority which I was not as there were many other patients in the office. This was the most extensive eye exam I have ever had and even though the results were not great I was provided detailed explanations on what processes needed to happen to correct the issues and felt comfortable with them. Dr. Friederich and his staff are beyond amazing! My daughter and I have VERY bad eyes and he is the first doctor in years that has been able to get both of us seeing well. Instead of the typical run-of-the-mill soft contacts that every other doctor has put us in, he put me in a contact that is hard in the middle and soft on the outside and he put my daughter in hard lenses. The difference in our vision is unbelievable! Dr. Friederich also helped me figure out why I couldn’t tolerate wearing contact lenses for more than a couple hours at a time when I first started seeing him (dry eyes and allergies). The office staff has always been very friendly and helpful. When we had an eye emergency, we were able to get right in.

I was in serious need of up-to-date frames when I came in for an exam this past April. All of the staff were extremely friendly and made me feel welcomed, as this was my first time at this eye Dr. Especially the young man (I believe the Optical Lab Manager) that helped me with picking out the right type of frames. He was very knowledgeable with all the different brands and had me choose the ones I thought would make myself look the best. After going through about 8 pairs, I chose some Oliver Peoples frames that were a bit much out of my price range. He then offered up an alternative pair that were in a special order catalog that was like half the price and still just as stylish. With all that, taking the time for my needs and saving me money, I'll definitely be going back to this office for many years to come.

My family was referred to Dr. Friederich at Vision Care Consultants a few years ago by very good friends. We have received really exceptional care during this time. Dr. Friederich has been a wonderful eye doctor for our family, but is also clearly a genuinely caring and very kind person. My son has had worsening myopia for a few years. Although my son has been very compliant and careful with his glasses, they were proving cumbersome with sports, swimming and being a 10 year old in general. He was offered something called corneal refractive therapy which involves wearing a rigid contact lense overnight, removing them in the morning and seeing clearly without glasses all day. This was not an easy decision to make, but Dr. Friederich was patient and thorough in his explanation. This is not an inexpensive therapy, but not cost-prohibitive either in light of all the benefits to an active child. We were given very clear and detailed information about the expense in writing before we proceeded. My son was given a great deal of encouragement at each visit relating to this therapy. I think the fact that Dr. Friederich is young and pretty cool has been a real bonus for both of my children. In addition to years of great experiences with planned care, this past weekend we received some extra special care for my son's injured eye. He was hit in the eye with a ball and had some subtle vision changes. This happened on a Saturday afternoon. I was relatively sure that he needed to be seen in the emergency department, but wanted to be sure before we left home. I left a message on the after hours emergency line at the office. We received a very prompt and far past kind and patient return call from Dr. Seibel. He said that we needed to be seen and met us at the closed office at 5pm on a Saturday. It was an involved exam and he spent an hour with us. I never expected to be seen urgently by the practice. I was really impressed and so grateful to not spend an evening in the emergency department. I was also pleasantly surprised to be charged a fair price for this service that was equivalent to our emergency co-pay, but without all the inconvenience of an emergency visit.
