I did not purchase glasses at Puget Sound Eye Care, and I'm not a patient. I'm visiting Seattle from out of state, and really needed my glasses reshaped to fit my face… I'm guessing I bent them on the plane? Anyway, the young man behind the desk was more than happy to help and with 2 quick adjustments, my glasses fit perfectly. If I lived locally, I would absolutely be a patient. Fantastic customer service. Thank you, PSEC!

The location is easy to find and parking was plentiful at 9:30 a.m. My appointment was on schedule and the young lady who did the prep-work for my eye exam was pleasant and thorough. She explained everything well. Dr. Tran was also just as awesome with his explanations and care throughout the eye exam. Kudos everyone. I very much appreciate the time you took to explain it all and have conversations about eye health and recommendations for me. This was the best ever eye appointment I have ever gone to in all the years of getting them rolled into one. The pupil dilation after-effects still suck but sunglasses really help an enormous amount on a sunny day.

This is the only positive experience I've ever had at 8:25 on a weekday morning. Everyone was friendly and professional and used only my preferred name (asked on the intake paperwork) The bedside manner was so incredible that I allowed Dr. Y to put contacts right on my bare eyeballs, since my pupils were so dilated that I dropped the first one right after taking it out on my own attempt. The assistant (name started with K?) also was super capable and ran the first part of the appointment like a Broadway production. Also, they don't puff air into your eyes here!! which is a huge plus imo

I saw Dr. Curtis Ono and his staff. I had a very pleasant experience. Dr. Ono is very knowledgeable, provided a lot of patient education and empathetic throughout the visit. I felt like I was in good hands. His assistant was also very knowledgeable and front desk was very nice. Overall I highly recommend visiting this office. Looking forward to future visits.

I don't live here and needed to see an eye doctor very quickly. The office staff was very kind and helpful getting me in on this quick notice. The staff was very helpful and welcoming when I arrived. My nurse did a great job and was very friendly listening to my issues. She was fantastic. She made me feel like a long term valued patient. Doctor Walton did a very thorough job and again was very kind. She spent a great deal of time with me working to figure out my issue. She could not have been better. It is tough and always a little scary to find a doctor on quick notice in a place you don't live. All I can say is I lucked out when I picked Puget Sound Eye care. It was a fantastic visit. I could not recommend a group any more than this one.

Thank you NATALIE AND DR. ONO! Great for BIPOC, queer or other marginalized folks! I recently moved to Seattle and needed to find an eye doctor. I looked around for a place that seemed like a good fit. As a queer, person of color - it is important that I feel my health is taken into the same consideration as others. When I arrived, I waited a very short time on a Saturday, maybe 5 minutes max. The front desk personnel was very friendly and got me checked in quickly. I was seen by Dr. Curtis Ono who was friendly and inquisitive about my vision/eye health as I have had a few ulcers on my cornea’s in the past. Dr. Ono took the time to ensure my eyes were doing ok and my prescription was accurate. I was not uncomfortable nor worried about my identity or skin color and the service I would receive here. Following the appointment, I was instructed to try out my new lenses for a few days and call in to order if everything was good. I called in and spoke to Natalie. She was informative about my current insurance benefit and informed me of my benefit renewal. She answered all my questions and I could tell she was smiling on the other end. It makes a difference, you can hear a smile. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone. I will be returning even though I passed probably a dozen vision doctors to get here. Thank you!

I had a great experience getting a contact lens fitting (first time) and general eye exam. Just make sure if you're going to get your eyes dilated you're prepared to be both totally blind and bring some sunglasses. I left wearing a pair of sample contacts so I couldn't wear my regular prescription glasses, and I didn't have a ride home, so I walked 10 blocks or so with my eyes being totally scorched by the sun (since dilation makes your pupils larger and lets more light in). That was very unpleasant.. Definitely don't drive after dilation! Not a big deal but it would've been nice if they provided my updated glasses prescription without my asking for it. My last optometrist did that too, so maybe this is normal, I don't know. But overall great place and I'm very happy with my new contacts.

I scheduled my first eye appointment with them at least 3-4 weeks ahead of time. I spoke with someone over the phone who put me on the schedule and I requested a specific doctor as well. When I arrived for my appointment I wasn’t on the schedule and the doctor I believed I was scheduled with wasn’t even in the office. Everyone was really nice and I appreciate the fact that they were able to fit me in. I ended up really liking the doctor I was with, but I still had issues with reception. They also forgot to return my insurance cards to me, so after driving about 10-15 minutes I got a call saying I needed to go back and pick them up. I know my cards are my responsibility as well, but the receptionists should’ve returned them immediately when they were done.

Like I always say: customer service ranks above all else. Puget Sound Eye Care made me feel welcome from the time I walked in to the time I left. Each person I interacted with was friendly, courteous, and exuded confidence and professionalism. They have a great selection of frames but what really impressed me above all else that I've not received from other places is the conversation I had with Rica (sic) about fit and frame shapes and why some looks work and others don't. It's not that the other places I've been haven't offered some opinions when asked. I just never felt the true candor I received at PSEC. I am really glad I chose them as my new eye care specialists! Thanks, PSEC!

I am forever thankful for Dr. Carlson. I've struggled with double vision and headaches since I was a child. Dr. Carlson was the first eye doctor who listened to me and diagnosed me correctly with a pretty hefty astigmatism in my left eye. I've been wearing glasses ever since and let me tell you, my quality of life has improved significantly. Special shout out to Dr. Carlson!

TLDR: nice staff, but disorganized and spacey. Not the best first impressions as a long time glasses wearer. My experience at Puget Sound Eye Care was a mixed bag. I needed a new eye doctor and PSEC is close to home. Scheduling online and appointment reminders were a nice touch, but I was told by staff that dialating my eyes would result in no impact to my vision and I'd be good to drive home. This is the first time I've been told this in 20 years of wearing glasses, and plenty of dilations has left me knowing that this isn't the case for me, so I ultimately did need to make two appointments- one for the initial check and a follow up a week later for the dilation. A pretty first world problem, admittedly, but still something I had to come back for. Dr. Walton was polite and thorough enough but seemed distracted and in a rush to get onto their next patient on both exams. I did appreciate that, even with a slight prescription change, she did tell me that I could continue to use my current prescription as long as I didn't notice any significant changes in vision. I did make an appointment with the optical/optician side of the business to see about changing out my lenses, but when I showed up the appointment wasn't on file and the front end staff seemed very confused as to why I was there. Lens prices were also about double what I've seen at other providers.

Dr. Ono was fantastic - put me at ease, was very patient, and answered all of my questions. Typically, with other optometrists, when I get a new prescription it takes a few days for my eyes to adjust to the new glasses and I have pretty bad headaches. I'm not sure if it was just because my eyes haven't gotten a lot worse since last time but when I put my new glasses there was no adjustment period!

I took my 3 month old baby along for an eye exam and contact lens prescription renewal, and everyone at the practice went out of their way to accommodate me. The facility is stroller friendly, they were super quick and efficient, and Dr Young even offered to hold my baby for a bit. The online appointment booking process was quick and easy. Would highly recommend this practice!

It was my 6 year olds first eye doctor appointment and they made her feel so comfortable. The assistant and doctor were wonderful and put her at ease. I’m so glad our pediatrician recommended Dr Carlson. We had a great experience picking out glasses as well. The staff was trained to help kids and you could tell.

I used to work at Puget Sound Eye Care and Optical Solutions back in 2002, and I’ve always continued to go there for all my eye care needs. Dr. Ono is honestly one of the best optometrists around. He’s always on top of the newest and best treatments and products available. He is great at thoroughly explaining things to any type of patient. He also gives a very thorough exam. I highly recommend PSEC!

VERY friendly and helpful check-in staff (quick and perky - wish I could remember her name!). Assistant Yurgen was exceptionally efficient, professional and articulate about each step of the exam pre-meeting with the optometrist. Dr. Young was super friendly and clear in answering my questions. She's funny, too. Had a GREAT experience, which I was worried I might not have given some of other reviews I saw online. (FYI, this was the Bellevue site I went to.)

Dr. Ono is the best eye doctor in the Puget Sound. I’ve been going to him for over 20 years... excellent all around, and very friendly and personable, too. I would recommend Dr. Ono to anyone. I’ve worn glasses or contacts for almost 40 years and Dr. Ono is by far the very best eye doctor I’ve ever been to. His staff is great, too, and the new location in Factoria is very nice and easy to find.

Great experience! I made an apointment with the Bellevue office, it's closer to home. Dr. Carlson and his staff are friendly and caring. They were patient with my 3 year old, who was coming in for his first eye exam. Dr. Carlson explained all my options thoroughly and clearly for treatment for his eye issue.

I'm 27 and have never been to the eye doctor. Everything was painless here from the online booking to the testing. All of the staff were wonderfully cheerful and sweet, the doctor was absolutely marvelous, and I felt so cared for here. I cant reccomend them enough! Not sure what insurance problems others had, but I made a $20 copay and insurance took care of the rest

Puget Sound Eye Care is an absolute perfect example of what you would dream of in doctors in eye care. I have been a very happy patient of theirs for over 15 years and yesterday I had the experience one would dread in relation to vision. I awoke with no clarity, double vision, loss of balance walking and a general fear. Sparing the details, Dr Ono and Dr Walton were essential and wonderful in initial testing needed as well as referral to a hospital with recommendations, calling me to see how I was as well as access to them the next day for further recommendations and referral to another specialist and further work on their part to possibly determine my medical dilemma. I cannot say enough positive words to describe their professionalism as well as the wonderful personality of each of them. This is truly the ideal office to have as your eye doctors. An incredible team of caring individuals who are amazing at what they do.

The health survey done prior to the appointment was followed up on by the doctor, who recommended solutions to minor eye problems that I've had. No other eye doctor I've been to has done this, so I was very happy with my experience. I also had a minor change in one eye, and extra care was taken to find out why I did not have 20/20 vision with my current prescription. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Walked in, was greeted as a long-time patient by smiling front office staff, had thorough and immediate pre-exam by professional Ty, and was then seen by the nicest, most compassionate doc I’ve ever met, Dr. Ono. As I am 76, that says a lot. If I were a regular patient, I would look forward to going to this office for eye care.

I like dr.ono and he is a great caring doctor.I dont like their online system appointment. I made a appointment early last week then after couple days their office send me an email that i didnt get that appointment due to the patient's conflict and i have to reschedule it again.i called them and the Rep. Said online appointments are not confirmed. .really if it is not working this system why they waste our time for our schedule ...it supposed to be for convenience of patients not for confusing patients and messed up with their time and their other schedules.

Doctors listen to your concern and mostly recommend you optional medication, first they prefer home remedies if you opt for medicine , doctors will prescribe medicine. I gave a try and now i am happy to mention PSE is my opthomologist.
