This place is a must see! (No pun intended) I was immediately impressed by the quality of their customer service after I got a call back immediately and they were able to fit me in for a appointment. First off Ryan is amazing with his customer service skills and made me feel excited about getting glasses. He helped me with my insurance, finding the perfect pair of glasses, was super patient with my indecisiveness, and answered all my questions. When it came to Dr.L he made me feel very safe and comfortable during my eye exam and he’s very knowledgeable in his craft. They’re both a dream team. Their space is incredibly clean and comfortable while still giving a high end vibe. Their glasses are unique and I can see that they strive to fit you in glasses that fit your vibe and aesthetic that are unique to you. I will never go anywhere else!

Amazing experience!! I was travelling and my graduated sunglases broke. This establishment was my salvation. They fixed them, instantaneously and, furthermore, with any charges. By the way, the shop really looks very cool, so clean and with too much offer of really cute glases. Thank you very much.

Today was my first time in Vis. We live in the neighborhood and I have admired the aesthetic of the shop through the windows daily as I drive by taking my children to school. It is my pleasure to say that the staff exceeds the aesthetic, which was already wonderful. I stopped in today needing a screw for a pair of glasses I have had for ages. They fixed them, adjusted them and sent me on my way without charge. That isn't why I am writing this review, it simply to let the community know that we have a wonderful independent business supporting beautiful independent designers from around the world through great customer service provided by thoughtful people. I got my first full time pair of prescriptions from Vis. I was a little nervous going in because I had a feeling my sight was going and I’d need glasses. My hesitations disappeared as soon as I walked through the door. The music was right, the art on the walls was awesome, and the frames selection was impressive even at a glance. My optometrist, James was fantastic. He took the time to answer every question and walk me through what he was doing every step of the way. Of course, I did end up needing prescription glasses, but at that point it felt like anything but bad news. They have eyewear specialists that help you find the perfect frames. I was helped by Chente, who hand selected what ended up being around 10 frames for me until I found the right look. I get compliments almost daily on my frames, I can read street signs again, and I just ordered prescription sunglasses. I couldn’t be more happy with my results from Vis. and I can’t wait to visit again.

Took a couple pairs of higher-end sunglasses here in the hopes their warped arms could be molded back to their correct shape. James was super helpful and made both pair wearable again! These folks are always super friendly and accommodating--will definitely be back.

Where do I begin. Vis. changed my entire view on how optometry and purchasing eyewear should be. Dr. Lundquist and his team are such an incredible asset to SLC's eyewear scene. I set an appointment about a week in advance to purchase new glasses. Dr. Lundquist spent over an HOUR with me suggesting frames while providing a wealth of knowledge of different designers and their counterparts. I felt well attended to and my questions were taken very seriously. They accepted my insurance and even assisted me with ordering new contacts. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fresh new look and a different approach to eyewear. I will be returning!

I stumbled upon Vis while looking for a new optometrist and I was not disappointed! My overall experience was great from start to finish. They got me in quick and Ryan there was incredibly knowledgeable about the variety of products they sold and was so helpful with helping me to find a pair that I would love. He was quick with following up which made the process convenient in such a crazy time we currently live in. The Doctor was great throughout the exam and had phenomenal people skills. He was personable with me throughout the exam which was really refreshing and made the experience overall amazing! I also went through them for my lenses and I was blown away at the choices I had to create my own pair of unique glasses! I love the prescription the doctor wrote for me and the impact it has had on my vision overall has been amazing. The friendliness and willingness to help from them was just an added bonus. Thank you! I will definitely be coming back for all my vision needs.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lundquist and it was quite possibly the best eye exam I've ever had. By way of the doctor's explanation and helpful advise. I have had an astigmatism that I've known about for around 20 years, and up until my appointment I didn't truly know what that meant. Dr. Lundquist gave me a very great description of what was going on with my eyes. I will continue to go here for my eye-care for as long as I'm in SLC. Also, what a great section of frames!

Went in to find some frames and was blown away. They were extremely helpful in narrowing down exactly what I needed and wanted. While I didn't get them today, I'll definitely be back soon to pick up a couple of frames from them! *Side note, they have extra wide options for my massive head and had the best fitting frames I've ever tried on.

Yesterday I was having some problems with my glasses. I stopped in to the new optometrist office at 801 800 E near Smith's grocery store. It was my lucky day because the eye doctor was able to address my frame problem quickly while I waited. The Vis office was large and comfortable with nice furniture. I highly recommend this optometrist. I'm looking forward to getting new getting new glasses there soon.

I was pleasantly surprised walking into this shop and my experience there. I noted many frames I’d never seen and which offered me a look I’d not considered before. The staff were readily available but didn’t swarm. They sensed when I wanted assistance and their suggestions were helpful. Dr. Lundquist is excellent — knowledgeable and caring. That was my first visit. I have since returned and now own several of their frames, including a pair of sunglasses unlike anything I’ve ever seen and that I love.

From the beginning we had a GREAT experience with Vis.! Jasmine was so helpful and patient in guiding me to the right pair of glasses. (I’m the guy that asks many questions) Both Jasmine and Zach made me feel like I was their most important customer. How awesome is that?! (Truly a lost art in the world of business...) I ended up buying two pairs of glasses. One for my computer work and the other for everything else. I’m Keratoconic and my astigmatism is really high (-8.5). Been wearing glasses for over 20 years and, for the most part, glasses just have not done so well at providing clear vision for me. However, thanks to the pro suggestions from Zach and Jasmine, the glasses I got from Vis. are both fantastic! LOVE them both! To achieve optimal visual clarity, Zach and Jasmine took into account suggestions that I had never thought of nor had been shown before, such as: -Lenses/frames that fit the width of my eyes -Lens size and shape that are ideal for higher astigmatism -And the list goes on… (wish I could remember everything they did) In summary, if you want a tailor made experience, unique frames that fit you and your personality, and professionals to guide you to possibly better visual clarity than what you are experiencing now, I HIGHLY recommend Vis.! ***Special Note to my fellow “Keratoconians” out there*** I especially notice a huge difference while driving at night. If you are keratoconic, you understand… The “halos” from streetlights, oncoming cars, etc. are now greatly diminished. I can actually read road signs, license plates, and other text from much farther away! What’s my point? It’s simple: its not all about the prescription you get. There are other factors that make a big difference. Give Vis. the opportunity they deserve and let their professionals guide you. FYI: With all the fake reviews that are out there, you should know that I just wanted to share my experience. Wasn’t paid to submit this review or in any other way incentivized to do so. Nor am I related to anyone that works at Vis. Just a normal customer that found Vis. on Google one day and decided to give them a shot. We are so glad we did!

I had such a pleasant experience getting my eye exam and picking out new frames. Staff is friendly, Dr Lundquist was quick and thorough and my prescription really has never felt more comfortable. The frame selection is amazing. Truly unique and fun frames. Traditional to super wacky. Staff (including Dr Lundquist) really got into helping me pick. I walked away with a set I would never have picked up but super duper love! Highly recommend this shop!

Hands down one of the greatest customer experiences in Salt Lake City! I went to get a pair of glasses repaired and was helped by the brilliant trio of Chanté, Ryan and Stephen! Not only did I get my glasses repaired I got brilliant insight and knowledge into different methods of caring for these glasses as well as tips on longevity. Way beyond my expectations and definitely what all contemporary practices should be based on. Vis is the future.

I was riding my bike by this beautiful shop the other day and I decided to drop in and see if they could adjust my glasses for me. I was greeted by Ryan with a warm and welcoming demeanor. He showed me around the shop giving me a grand tour. Not only did Ryan adjust my glasses but he also cleaned them to perfection and complemented the quality of glasses he helped me with. They have a very wide selection of eye-ware from traditional to designer. There was no pressure just friendly conversation and a vast knowledge of optics. This place understands what customers want and surely have all my future business going forward.

I had been complaining about my vision being blurry to my wife for about a year and she gave me a list of optometrists. Stephen was at the top of the list. I walked over for my appointment and had an amazing experience. Dr. Lundquist explained my astigmatism and set up my prescription. After that Ryan knew exactly what pair of frames I wanted before I did, my wife said he was like the wand guy in Harry Potter. Amazing service, amazing aesthetics, the brand is on point. This was also by far the most knowledgeable and considerate staff I’ve ever come across. I didn’t know there was so much to know about different frames and their history. The staff/owners/people are, without a doubt, the dream team of optical service perfection. If you've ever been to say... target optical.. or Warbly P... or Costco vision, or any other full-service eyewear spot, and you had a great experience, well, these folks will defy your expectations going forward for the rest of your vision impaired existence. The studio is haute but not in an intimidating nose-uppish way, very comfy chic. I highly recommend you check them out next time you need your peepers looked at or if you're in the market for some new specs/shades/readers/etc.

Vis is the new standard for optical care. They have transformed this dreaded, obligatory task from cookie cutter to couture. Poor vision is not a choice, but where I have it corrected is. Vis has put the dignity back into making the right choice for ones eyes. The vision lifecycle from eye exam to purchase of new corrective vision was specific to me; I remained part of the process every step of the way. My insurance was accepted and I within a matter of days picked up my glasses - they are the highest quality lens I’ve owned. Vis has the sexiest selection of prescription glasses and sunglasses to satiate any need, desire or fetish.

Really dont even know where to start with my review.. Probably with Stephen, the optometrist / owner of this fine establishment. Its rare to find a business owner so engaged in their business and have such passion for their craft. He is one of those people that instantly makes you feel confortable.. not one of those robodic optometrists that I have become so accustomed to seeing over the years. Then theres the place. This shop is astoundingly beautiful. I could go on and on about the building and decor, but I think it would sum it up just fine to say that this is the type of shop that wouldnt be out of place in architectural digest. This is the epitomy of "new retail" and is, by far the most impressive optical I have ever stepped foot in. Finally theres the collection. The collection is rare, astounding, and meticulously curated. all kinds of treasures that I had no clue even existed.from funky to refined.. sportswear, handmade.. this place has IT ALL Its exciting to enter a place that has so much passion and love behind it. Where everybody is kind and engaging. This is the type of place I am always looking for and and am greatful to have finally found.
