Portland Eyecare is always wonderful. The office itself is clean and has a comfortable vibe. The staff is very kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. They offer extra testing and are up front about any associated costs. I usually see Alex and she is very intelligent and personable and works hard to ensure patients get the best possible care. I recommend this office to everyone all of my friends and family.

Portland Eyecare is a delightful experience. The Staff behind the front desk are friendly. The Technicians that do the intake evaluations are personable and explain what each test does. I see Dr Leah Grotten and she takes her time explaining whatever the issues are with my eyes. She shares and explains options when appropriate so that I can make an informed decision. I would recommend this practice to friends.

I highly recommend Portland Eyecare. This is the first time I have been to this office, and was delighted with Dr. Andrew Kaper. He spent some time getting to know me a bit, asking friendly questions, and I could just tell he was a really nice person. AND, he is knowledgeable in his field, happily and thoroughly answering all my eye questions, taking time to point out what each landmark was on my retina scan, which I find fascinating. He asked me multiple times if I had anymore questions... appreciated :). Office staff was very friendly as well. Cute little office.

I was extremely impressed with Portland Eyecare. The receptionist was very pleasant, my wait time was non-existent as I had barely sat and they will calling me in. This was the most extensive eye exam I have had by any other optometrist. Dr Alex Grotton made me feel like she had known me forever, explained the tests and the results completely and answered any and all questions I had. I will continue to let her handle my eye care without hesitation.

I've seen optometrists since I was a kid. I had to find a new one due to Covid and insurance changes and the entire staff at Portland Eyecare is a complete joy to work with. The Doctor was professional and made me feel like I was a part of their extended family there. I would recommend anyone to this place and am so glad I found it.

Great first visit with eyecare professionals at Portland Eyecare. They took their time, ran all the tests the former doctors failed to do and reviewed my questions thoroughly. Very professional all the way around, including the front desk staff. They have an online forms packet ,which is simple to complete and can be filed at the same time it's filled out. Very thorough. I finally feel I have backup now.

Everyone there was so welcoming as a new patient and I am so happy I was able to get in! I have seen both Dr Grotton sisters over the last five years and they and their staff have always been very organized, attentive, and kind. When I was experiencing temporary vision loss from an ocular migraine, I was able to get in for an urgent exam and felt a lot of reassurance from their detailed exam and explanation, I wish I would have just bypassed the urgent care. They have retinal photography available at their office which I appreciate as it provides a great exam and serial documentation of the health of my eyes. As a fellow healthcare worker, I really appreciate the bedside manner at this practice.

I got some dirt in my eye and apparently it scratched my cornea. I was in quite a bit of pain and called first thing Monday morning for an appointment. Andrew told me to come right in. Within 30 minutes, he had diagnosed the problem, inserted a contact lens to ease the scratching, and prescribed drops to aid healing. Wonderful doctor- compassion and expertise outstanding!

Dr. Leah and the team at Portland Eyecare were all amazing and very professional. The office was clean and I didn’t have to wait long at all before seeing the doctor. They went over my treatment plan carefully with me and made sure I had all the prescriptions I needed before leaving. Dr. Hall was the best eye doctor I've ever been to. The appointment was right on time, and the receptionists were nice and funny. They filed our insurance claim (Blue Cross) for us so that made things simple. The equipment was modern and made things go really quickly. He has a machine that gets your exact prescription without you having to answer the "One, or two" questions over and over. He asks a few of them after he gets your prescription just to find out your preferences, but not too many. My husband and I had back to back appointments and they told us we could both be in the room which was quite nice and unexpected. We had a lot of questions and Dr. Hall had no problem answering any of them. We never felt rushed, only well taken care of.

Really enjoyed going to Portland Eye Care and being Dr. Hall's patient. He is kind, thorough, and explains results to you so you understand your eye care. I also like that they don't sell eye glasses there, there is no pressure to buy something that might be out of your price range or a limited selection that doesn't fit your needs. They are, however, conveniently located next to VIP eyes which is my favorite place to buy eyeglasses locally at a reasonable price, since I misplace them so often! Highly recommend them.
