This office and worked with me through some challenging vision Issues. Dr. Elkinson is well versed, knowledgeable and a good communicator about eye issues and treatments. He referred me to the best surgeon and they collaborate and communicate about my care. The office staff is more than friendly, they and efficient and very helpful.

Hello. I was due for a checkup and stopped by to see if I could keep an appointment to have my eyes checked and was told they were booking out 2 months. This was on Nov 29 2022 My insurance change Jan 1 so I wanted it before then. Then an other staff member spoke up to say they just had a Dec 2 cancellation and I could have it. From walking in the door to such a nice facility to the pleasant staff. Dr. Elkinson is very thorough and explained the whole process in detail as he was doing the exam. I am very pleased with the results and will use him again.

Chris, the eye glasses guru is very helpful when you need new glasses! There is never any pressure to purchase them through the office. You will want to because of the great styles in stock! From the time you first enter you are greeted by everyone, all of the staff is very professional and they ensure your visit goes smoothly and without delay. When I had an eye issue I told Dr. Elkinson calling in and hearing his voice on the answering machine helped to calm me, knowing he would be able to help me solve my problem, which he did. I made my appointment assuming it would take 60 minutes. When I arrived I learned it would take 90, I was in a bind. The staff stepped up and got me out of the office, all tests completed and my current glasses adjusted, in a hair over an hour. I was really pleased. Josh who does the glasses is lovely. Dr. Elkinson is a gadget hound, which is fun. The woman who did my preliminary tests was smart and quick and kind (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name!). I always feel like I had a thorough check and was treated fairly.

The nearest one was 4 months out but they put me on a cancellation list and called me a week later and had me in that day. The doctor was great! So were all the staff. Especially enjoyed my time working with the guy fitting eye glasses. They were all easy to chat with and learn things from. The hour or two was extremely positive and I left feeling hopeful for my vision and that I got a good deal on professionally-fitted glasses.

Had no idea what any of that was before coming here. As far as glasses go, Josh is a pro at finding any frames you need.

Two great recent experiences. This summer the lenses on my sunglasses warped which I guess can happen on occasion. They were still under warranty and they replaced them for free. I’m new to Dr. Elkinson. All I can say is I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr. Elkinson explained everything he was doing step by step, he went over my exam and he answered my questions and put my concerns at ease. I never felt like he was rushing through the exam. He told me I could use a slight prescription. He said I could get glasses now but I don’t have to and he told me if I did not get glasses now but changed my mind later on down the road, I could go back and get glasses then. I never felt he was pushing me to get glasses. He reminds me of my last eye doctor. I was hoping to find someone like him. I think I did and I’m glad because I have had eye doctors in the past that were non-personable and pushy about my getting glasses. I felt like it was all about the money for them but that is not the case here. Thank you again Dr. Elkinson.

To start, the waiting room is very comfortable and accommodating. There’s an accessible unisex bathroom, a toy chest for kids, s beautiful fish tank, and a coat rack. (Note: there is some low volume music playing generally so if you have any sound sensitivity issues that’s something to keep in mind.) The people at the front are not only professional and helpful, they’re also very kind and considerate. (They gave me some shades for my dilated eyes while I waited to go back in and chatted with me both times I’ve been in so far.) Once in for the pre-appointment tests, they’re quick to processes you but thorough. Dr. Elkinson and his staff are very good at making sure you’re comfortable and ready for certain tests. (Like the puff of air) They also made me very comfortable as a member of the LGBTQ community. I was able to discuss my transition with the doctor (and relating medications/symptoms) without feeling uncomfortable for a second. They even adjusted to my preferred name without blinking an eye. (It was even on my script at the end :) ) In the end, I felt welcome to return and happy with the care I received. I have already recommended them to friends and family in the area.
