My family and I have been seeing Dr. Johnson for years. Dr. Johnson is always patient and provides excellent care. I appreciate that she and her staff are always happy to answer questions and explain my care. Check in is easy and the staff is amazing. They were super helpful in explaining my benefits before my appointment so there were no surprises. Highly recommend!!!

Honestly...I hate eye appointments. I'm not decisive, and the appointments are all a pop quiz, usually taking hundreds more than I planned to spend. So here's a quick recap of my appointment, in case it helps you! 1) I scheduled as a new patient, all online. I had to reschedule unexpectedly, and was able to easily do that, all automatically on their website 2) The doctor was actually EARLY for my appointment!! She never rushed me, answered all questions, helped explain the new photography machine instead of dilation (WELL worth it, in case you're on the fence!) and never once guilt tripped me in any way about being years delinquent on an eye exam. She also let me know I didn't require spending money on two prescriptions/frames, as I'd been told at a prior optical center, so I appreciated her honesty, not just trying to get more $ 3) Picking glasses is daunting, I actually did an online website before because I wanted to just get the heck out of the pushy sales vibe of another optical office. At Eye Concepts, the staff let me know they were here to help, but they didn't approach me a single time while I meandered slowly through their large collection of frames, some of which were 100% covered by my insurance, so lots of affordable options available 4) When I couldn't decide between two frames, they all took a vote, even Dr. Johnson joined in on the fun. They made a dreaded experience one that was actually really enjoyable by being genuinely friendly I'm sorry, I know this review is long, but I looked at different vision centers for months and really wanted to offer my support to Dr. Johnson. Support the local companies in Gilbert!!

Went in for an updated prescription and I don't think I've seen this clearly in years. I told Dr Karen how my vision looked at night and she fine tuned it to where I could see perfectly. The frames are priced well and everyone in the office is super welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would recommend

We brought our daughter here for the first time recently for a general eye exam. Doctor had great bedside manner, was thorough in her exam, and was very knowledgeable. This location has state of the art equipment making for more accurate results and pain free exam. We will definitely be back for the rest of our family.

The staff and doctor are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Johnson took the time to explain my options to me and gave me plenty of time to ask any questions. The tools the doctor uses are state-of-the-art, and the office itself is modern and welcoming. New patient paperwork is minimal and quick to fill out in-office. Most of the staff is still wearing masks! Cost for no insurance is incredibly reasonable, especially given the quality of equipment. Will recommend to everyone I know!

My glasses arrived a week earlier than anticipated, and again in and out in probably 10 mins when I came to get them adjusted. Edit - I had an emergency situation with my eye and had to call Dr. Johnson's emergency line on Saturday around 7pm. She promptly called me back. After my eye did not get any better overnight, I had to call her again on Sunday and she got back to me right away and then came into her office to see me. I am grateful to have a great optometrist who was there for me in an emergency situation. I highly recommend her. My husband and I have been going to Eye Concepts Vision Center for a few years now. We are always seen on time. The employees are knowledgeable and efficient. The doctor is great and efficient as well. We go annually for an eye exam and contact fitting.

This is my second visit. Doctor Johnson has been great with my eyesight changes, and very kind. The new glasses do take approximately two weeks. Love the frames. I had no waiting for my appointment time. My appointment was made in a timely manner. Just a note, for first timers, their Bldg # & Suite # are hard to spot from the driveways. They do have a sign on the sidewalk. If you can afford it, take the $29 addl eyesight check. It is easy and quick, yet very thorough. You get to see the imaging with detailed explanations from Doctor Johnson.

I love this eye doctor. Dr. Simon is amazing with my son and does such a great job with his eye exams. He is 7 and has been going to her since he was 5 and failed a school eye exam. Just visited for the first time and had a great experience. I called first to get a quote on pricing. The person on the phone was very nice and gave the information to me right away. I made an appointment online very easily and filled out all of the new patient paperwork ahead of time. When I got to the appointment, I was seen right away. The office is bright and clean and the desk person was super friendly. Dr. Karen was great. The entire exam + contact lens fitting was completed within an hour, without any uncomfortable procedures because all of their technology is brand new and very non-invasive. I forgot his name but the person in the showroom was helpful and friendly as well with choosing and fitting frames, getting pricing for different options, and checking me out.

The place is nice, bright and inviting. Clean, quiet, and accessible. The dr is very competent. She is knowledgeable and communicative. She will explain anything and in a manner you understand. Not intimidating at all or scolding. If you have any concerns or questions she will answer. She does not rush through either. The front office crew is also fantastic. They are there to help and seem to enjoy their jobs. No selling you on things you don't want or need either. They are patient and very helpful when it comes to helping you with picking out frames, insurance, etc. They have a good selection of frames for the whole family and sunglasses too. No hesitation is recommending Eye Concepts.

Dr. Simon listens carefully, asks questions, has state of the art equipment to assist her diagnosis, and then patiently explains that diagnosis while sharing the images. Truly, she is everything and more in a caregiver. They are 10+ in my estimation. Separately, our annual check ups and purchasing new glasses, was every bit as smooth. Prices were fair, many choices available, and there was no up sell. Jared listened and completed our order in minimum time, answering all questions patiently. This office is a gift!

I was lucky enough to be fit in to the schedule after a cancellation last week. With Covid and taking extra precautions, I felt safe & that the center was doing what they could to make it a safe, healthy environment. Masks required, buckets for frames to be wiped down after they're tried on, chairs wiped down. Aside from the cleanliness of the place, the staff is very kind and helpful. Everything was explained thoroughly, including payments since prices (for contacts) have increased for various reasons. Dr. Simon is awesome. After moving to the East Valley from North Phoenix, I have been transitioning all my Dr's and it feels good to find a place where I know I will be going from here on out.

Eye Concepts is AWESOME!!! My friend recommended Dr. Simon months ago as my glasses now old ones are from Mexico weren't holding up and the prescription wasn't right and never was. I live in Cali and I personally don't like doctors but, I was on my way to AZ and decided to make an appointment because my vision was getting worse. WOW it was unbelievable I was able to get in the next day I had called the receptionist which didn't have any insurance and quoted me the price which was affordable. The receptionist put me at ease by telling me I did not have to by glasses extra I'd get my perception and can go anywhere. Once I found the office it was absolutely beautiful and very inviting. I was acknowledged as soon as I arrived by the receptionist, Kelly and Jarred. Dr. Simon came out in less than 10 minutes to welcome me (which I love!! Who hates waiting a half an hour or more to be seen? Exactly!!) Dr. Simon was so nice and VERY friendly. I spent the extra $30 to get that optomap because my eyes are worth more than that. She was able to see and detect if there was any diseases. She showed me the pics and thank goodness my eyes didn't detect any diseases. Dr. Simon was so informative, knowledgeable and very nice. After the exam was finished Dr. Simon let me talk to Jarred and we looked at glasses. Kelly and Jarred both spent a lot of time with me as I'm very picky to see which frames were in my price range (without insurance) and we found the perfect pair for me as they are very honest if something doesn't look good on you. I purchased them immediately and got my new glasses before I went back to Cali. Perception is exact I can SEE!! Overall best experience EVER!!!! Needless to say I will drive 5 hrs. for my annual up check that's how much I recommend this place!! I will be telling my friends here in Cali to make the trip it's WORTH it!

From the top: They smiled and greeted me when I walked in, asked me what I preferred to be called (people like to nickname me, I know Jacqueline is 3 syllables but it’s my name and what I go by), the doctor came out and greeted me, shook my hand, talked me through the entire process and what each machine did. She didn’t push any products on me, or procedures like lasik which has happened in the past. It was a very efficient and throurough appointment! When we were finished she walked me out to the optical floor and introduced me to the optician who also shook my hand and provided the same level of purposeful and practical level of service. He never up-sold me, he explained what the products they had to offer could do for me and never pressured me into choosing something I didn’t need. I can’t say enough great things about this office. I’m looking forward to picking up my new glasses in a few weeks and seeing them all again next year. They’ve created a lifer out of me!
