I’ve been coming to Vision Specialists for a couple years, and Dr. Kate is the most thorough eye doctor I’ve ever been to! She checks aspects of my eye health that previous doctors hadn’t checked or spoken about. She takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, and I feel like I understand my eye health so much better. The staff is also wonderful and very professional. I recently had an emergency and the whole office was so accommodating about making sure I was taken care of. The office also has a great selection of glasses, and they are helpful without being pushy. My experience here has been wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone!

I'm putting a 5 star on this one even before getting my glasses delivered, because this experience was way beyond expectations. I've never gone through all of these steps before and they made it really smooth. I especially appreciated the patience, and understanding Jared had with me. I'm sure the process took way longer than usual to find frames, but I wasn't made to feel rushed and they really were able to help me figure out what it was I wanted. I never do reviews for good experience, because as a customer, I feel it should be expected. But when there is above and beyond service, I can't help but share it with other people.

One of the best eye doctors I have ever visited. Dr. Kate and team were very thorough and took care of me and my eyes. Vision Specialist's equipment is definitely top tier/best in class and for the first time in my life I feel like I got a legitimate eye exam with precision results. Everyone from the front desk receptionist, the lady who helped take my eye measurements, the gentleman who assisted in helping me find glasses, and Dr Kate-was AMAZING! My visit was amazing! Staff were super friendly, the doctor was so genuine and kind, and the technology used for examination was next-level! There was a wide array of glasses to select from, although a few choices were a tad pricey. Overall though, with the all the sleek technology used to ensure a good lens prescription, you get what you pay for and more!!!

This is a very modern facility with state of the art equipment. Dr. Kate takes her time to explain your eye health and prescription details. David works hard to find glasses that look great on you. Sarah does all the eye exam prep and gets you organized before you leave. Great team!

This is an amazing place! The entire staff was patient, kind, and made my son feel comfortable. I was nervous as he is sensory sensitive (autism spectrum,) and hates to have someone touching his face or glasses on his face... everyone there was so gentle and sweet, he totally cooperated and even had FUN trying on many pairs of glasses. They are so clean and careful during these Covid times too. I am a teacher and work with kids in the neighborhood, and would highly recommend this office to all families! There was no pressure to hurry or buy anything, and my son left feeling happy! I can be a bit of a protective “mama bear” and he can be a challenging kiddo sometimes, but they definitely helped us through the entire process so it was totally painless, and even enjoyable! Their technology is impressive too, but don’t let that scare you into thinking the price would be unaffordable- it was definitely a comparable price to any local eye exam, very affordable! I was a little nervous about the cost with how lovely the office is, how high tech their machines are, and I don’t have vision insurance, but would be willing to pay more than I did for how caring and great they were with my son! Thanks to Dr. Kate and her staff!

They walked us through everything we needed to do. Ordering new lenses was easy and the selection was great. The technology they use lets you see everything about your eye. It was a sight to see. All of our family (that wear glasses) see this office. Very friendly staff, and a very thorough exam. We specifically chose this place because their standard eye exam doesn't require eye dilation because they have a special "camera" that can see the eye without dialting. My husband and daughter were thrilled. Really great experience with the exam staff and Dr, the front end staff can feel a little "sales-y" when getting you to pick frames and lenses, but that's the nature of business I suppose.

My eye exam today was effortless. I filled out all the information online to make things easier for them and myself. The tests were like a video game and very modern. There is no air blowing in the eyes. There is no need to dilate the eyes, unless you dig that kind of thing. Everything was explained very thoroughly and the staff was amazing. Very helpful. They also went explained different ways of caring for your eyes beyond just glasses and contacts. Dr. Kate was genuinely concerned for the health of my eyes. She also answered my questions regarding the kind of deterioration in my eyes using screens and electronics all the time. Especially, in the COVID age, there is more time spend in front of a screen of some sort for me and my family. Everything was very clean and I watched them sanitize before and after I used an exam station. I really had a great experience and I will be referring them to my friends and family.

An eye emergency is always traumatic but the staff at Vision Specialists and Dr. Holthaus made it so much better. Not only did Lisa work me into a Friday schedule, but she gave me good advice before my appointment. I've been traveling hours annually back to my previous eye doctor but no longer. I've found a new care provider. Dr. Kate not only addressed the scratch across my cornea and gave me a thorough exam, she explained the implications of my RK surgery from 25 years ago. I've never had a provider explain it to me like she did. I have had excellent eye care over the years but really felt her genuine interest in my long-term eye health. She was knowledgeable, kind and her passion for her practice was evident. I highly recommend her practice and her staff. I don't wear glasses but I was most impressed with all of the frame options available at Vision Specialists of Omaha. I'm actually looking forward to my followup appointment next week!

My 15 year old daughter and myself had the best experience!! The office is beautiful and clean and followed “over the top” COVID-19 precautions. All the staff are so kind. From the moment we walked into our appointment, everything was so thorough and efficient. Dr. Kate was wonderful!! Wow! I cannot imagine a better experience. This was the most comprehensive eye exam that I have ever had, I learned more about my own eyes in the 40 minutes I spent with Dr. Kate than I knew about eyes in general before my visit. Dr. Kate was friendly and professional, I was at ease throughout the visit and very, very comfortable the entire time. The office and the equipment are state of the art...no longer a need for a pressure test or dilation. The "vision bar" has numerous frames to select from and even options in titanium for people with nickle allergies. Definitely simple, modern, eye care.

I rarely go out of my way to write a review of a business or product, but I will gladly do so for Vision Specialists of Omaha. Everything about my experience was professional from scheduling the appointment, filling out history, and going through the exam. They were courteous and kind on top of it. I was impressed with the technology they are using. They are extremely thorough and even explain everything at the end using the images taken during the exam. It was transparent and clear what was needed / not needed. I could tell their primary objective was to provide me with the service I needed, not try to upsell or simply earn more money. Not once did I ever get that vibe. I highly recommend Vision Specialists of Omaha - if you need an eye exam, glasses, contacts, or any other eye treatment don’t hesitate to go here.

I met with Kate Holthaus (Optometrist) and Virginia (Optician) and Staff and ALL were EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgeable, attentive, and caring to my needs. I was treated with respect and NEVER felt rushed through a VERY THOROUGH exam. The time needed was spent with me to review everything and understand what my issues were and what would be best for my current and future needs! I felt so comfortable and didn't leave with any concerns or questions. Everything was VERY MODERN - and I was educated on things about my eye I had never seen or heard before. I have had lasik and PRK in the past and now that I've "aged" I need some specs - so was leary prior to this appointment - but not anymore. I was worried about who was I going to see and was I going to like them or trust them before I made this appointment and went in. I did a LOT of research before finally choosing Dr. Holthaus. I'm not leary or concerned anymore. Now I KNOW where I will be going for my future eye car needs - and without any anxiety or hesitation! Thank you Dr. Holthaus and Staff!
