TL;DR: super easy to set up an appointment and staff + doctor were excellent! I came across The Oculist when looking for a convenient optometrist office. Setting up an appointment was easily done through their website. The appointment went by very smoothly. There was no wait time upon entering and the staff guided me through their process so I understood everything during the eye exam. The optometrist (I can't remember her name, sorry!) was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. At the end of the visit, they outlined what I would need to pay and highlighted every discount and rebate that could be applied.

We switched to The Oculist after our optometrist moved and we’re so glad we did!! From the moment we walked in the door we felt so incredibly welcomed! It was one-on-one personable patient care from entrance to exit. Dr. McCrackin is very thorough and takes her time making sure all questions are answered. This was the best eye exam I have received in a handful of years! I’m also very appreciative for the staff who helped me with picking out my glasses and making sure I selected a pair that would be the perfect fit! She was such a joy to work with and so personable!! I’ll definitely be recommending The Oculist to my friends!

Visited the Oculist for the first time the other day! The location itself gives off a very fancy, upscale feel, yet the staff were very friendly, humorous, and easygoing. Got my contact lens prescription increased by Dr. McCrackin, and it’s like I can see sharply for the first time again. I went several years with the same prescription while attending a different eye place. You really never know how thankful you are for crisp, clear vision until you’re given the opportunity to experience it. And prices are excellent for the quality of lens they offer. 10/10 recommend the Oculist.

The facility is clean and has free parking. Elizabeth, the eye doctor, took her time with me and answered all my questions. Olivia and Mac helped me choose the perfect prescription frames to fit my face shape and preference style. Water, coffee, and tea are complimentary which is a nice touch. Olivia even repaired and reshaped my old frames for free! The attention to detail here is amazing. They will definitely keep my business!

Really nice and professional place. I’ve gotten both glasses and contacts through them and they have very reasonable pricing. Only thing to note is that a 3D image of eye is more or less required for the eye wellness exam which is not covered by insurance typically, and comes at extra charge of $39. But very cool to go over the image with the doctor and see your eyes up close!

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Had a pretty long appointment with a routine eye exam on top of getting fitted for contact lenses for the first time, but they were patient and informative til the very end, and I really appreciate that! Highly recommend!!

I had such a great experience at this eye exam. I always put off doing my exams , but not anymore. This practice was amazing. Parking is available in the back of the store as it is a storefront property in the Deep Deuce area of downtown OKC. I was early and they got my right in. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. Dr. McCrackin was friendly and thorough and answers all my questions. She took the time to go over my exam and my family history to make sure we covered everything. Picking out some frames was a breeze. They have a large selection and let me try on about 20 frames before we narrowed it down to the right one! I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me .

I’m 60 and been wearing glasses since I was 8, I have never been treated as nice as theses ladies did and they did fantastic.. Answered my many questions, nice and clean wasn’t crowded, they don’t stack multiple appts like I read about THE OTHERS LOL. MY new optometrist 5star. Loved it. Update used another lab but the scription is the best I’ve had in over 52 years, glare of headlights wasn’t bad either. TY SEE YA NEXT YEAR

Everyone here is so kind and thoughtful! Everything was explained thoroughly from the testing to the price. I was a little nervous at first with the upscale feel, but they go out of their way to make the experience stress free. Olivia, Jessica, and Dr. McCrackin were fantastic, and I'll absolutely be back!! As a non-binary person, I appreciate that I was offered frames that were both "masculine" and "feminine". It would have felt more inclusive if there was a spot on the intake form to list pronouns. That said, I still felt seen and respected. 🙌

Amazing, wonderful, marvelous all of the best synonyms for outstanding! The Oculist office in downtown OKC knows how to treat a person! The atmosphere is clean and sleek, never crowded, so you feel you are getting custom treatment by the ENTIRE staff. Parking is also very easy and close to the entrances. The staff and Dr. McCrackin are very kind and gracious and will go out on all the stops during your visit to ensure you are comfortable and satisfied. As I was picking out my glasses, a group of them stopped what they were doing to give me feedback. Even told me the cons of some glasses as they saw them to my face and pointed out things that my personal face would not like (my cheeks when I smile moved the rims), plus they told me to take down my hair and see if I like the glasses still. I really appreciate the time they took to ensure the pair I picked would be liked by me in the long run. I also really like the texting feature, you are talking with a real person, so you feel heard and cared for when booking, rescheduling and follow up. Thank you again to the whole team, I fully recommend them for those that need glasses or contacts, or those who simply are going in for an annual eye exam, you will not regret it!

I just got home from my appointment with The Oculist. My experience has been nothing short of Awesome, Great and will return. If there was a 10 star option, you best bet I would give them 11 1/2 stars 😉 From the first call booking my appointment, to the moment I walked in I was warmly welcomed and cared for. I never knew going to the eye doctor was going to feel like I was reuniting with close friends/family. But when I left I was genuinely sad to leave. I loved the atmosphere (both decor and the people who bring it to life). They are genuine, authentic, thoroughly educated, & loving people. They welcome questions, ease any nerves or concerns you have, and let me tell you…if you end up getting glasses and you want a hype team these. Are. Your. People! They were informative, took detailed measurements, considered face shape, my likes/dislikes, and were admiringly constructive about what frames highlight my look. And I know they will champion and seek out the prime frame to your beautiful face. Might I also add, they were considerate of crunching numbers for me to get the best deal they could give me. I felt informed but never felt pressured into anything. We need more medical care teams like The Oculist. I want other health care teams to come visit because they would benefit immensely doing so. And I know you will too. No doubt in my mind. All in all, well worth my time and without a doubt I choose the Oculist family to care for me and my family.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. I was able to get an appointment quickly, the location is convenient, and they offer communication via texting. I was in and out while still feeling like I got really great care.They are very upfront about pricing and I are very clear about expectations for ordering and for what works best with insurance. I felt absolutely zero pressure to order glasses or contacts beyond what I wanted to order and they went above and beyond to try to find a frame that I was looking for, based on a picture. Seriously, if I could design an optometry clinic, this would be it. If you still have doubts, just think about the fact that they have 130 something reviews at this point and all of them are five stars. When does that happen? Anywhere. There’s a reason.

From booking the appointment right up until we picked up the designer glasses, the staff was hands down the most friendly and professional I've ever experienced. The entire staff was knowledgeable, the clinic had a warm and inviting atmosphere (not to mention clean clean clean!) and the optician listened to what I wanted and could not have been more accommodating. Very friendly staff and the doctor is very open and approachable. You do not feel like you are being rushed out the door. This is the absolute cutest optical in town! The office is very clean, well-lit, spacious and designed with a modern feel/look. The office staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and goes well above and beyond for their customers. When i walked in, i literally felt as if i had known them forever. The whole staff greeted me by name and welcomed me with huge smiles, it felt like a surprise party; only i knew about it 🥰 . They answer messages promptly and I love that they communicate through text as well. Greg was very helpful in checking on a pair of frames i was interested in and answering all of my questions about them too. They didn’t have the exact color of frames i wanted, but were able to order them and the turnaround to receive them is quick. The process of getting my insurance benefits verified with Julie before ever stepping foot into the office was very smooth. Olivia was very sweet and was so patient with me while doing measurements to make sure the frames were a perfect fit, explaining every fine detail along the way and making sure I was comfortable and understood everything. Olivia is also an amazing teacher. She was training Sergio, and explained everything in detail to him as well. Sergio was very friendly too. The selection of frames is limitless and very affordable. They do things very different here, but different in an excellent way! If you want outstanding care and customer service that is unmatched, give them a visit. You won’t be disappointed and getting beautiful frames is a bonus! I took several cards; because I will forever recommend them and refer everyone I know. ❤️ Oculist Staff, keep up the amazing work and Thank you for making my first experience and visit beyond amazing. Accidentally reviewed this place from my work email account but I loved this place so much I'll just post it again from my "real" account lolz WOW! This place is awesome not only in style but in people. I loved every person I met with my initial visit; the atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope and expect from an eye doctor in trendy Deep Deuce OKC, and I felt comfortable there from start to finish. They were super thorough in what they were doing and why. They were upfront about costs of different tests they were doing and explained why it would be beneficial to me. The bill was explained thoroughly which I appreciated, and multiple options for my contacts all with pricing were all given to be before leaving. I have never experienced such a comprehensive eye visit before and I can't wait to go back for glasses. 10/10, no complaints here!

My experience was fantastic! Everyone here was amazingly sweet and helpful. Abbi took great care of me. She went over every option available but I never felt pushed into buying them. She helped me decide what was best for me, even if it meant going online to buy glasses. I ended up buying my lenses there though because she did such a great job making sure I got exactly what I needed! Since moving to OKC and moving off of my parent's insurance, I have been putting off getting an eye exam. To the point where I had been wearing my last pair of contacts for a couple months before finally caving in and finally setting up an appointment at the nearest place my insurance covered. The Oculist experience surpassed other eye doctor offices I have been to! It was clean and cute inside. Everything was very streamlined and I was in and out in a decent amount of time! I love that their location is walking distance to some other great local Deep Deuce businesses! Dr. McCrackin was professional and explained my eye exam results in layman’s terms which helped me understand the whole process!

I was needing to find a new eye doctor since I had moved north from Norman. I knew of one within walking distance from work, but noticed The Oculist was preferred by my insurance so I decided to try out the "new" place. I say "new" because this location is new, but they've been in business in the Mid-Del area for almost 60 years. I easily scheduled an appointment through the online scheduler and had an appointment within a few hours. They called beforehand to ensure they knew exactly what I was needing. When I arrived, every staff member greeted me as if I were a long-lost friend - I can't say enough good things about the entire staff! The whole process went very smoothly, and they explained everything along the way. I wanted to get contacts after a bad experience elsewhere years ago, and they walked me though every single step with encouragement and a smile! Compared to the others I have tried since my former doc retired, they have the BEST customer service by far! Plus the facility is new and spotless, so this place has a lot going for it! Would highly recommend for anyone to stop in if they need any products or services!

I was able to get an appointment that worked with my training schedule on the very same day. That alone would be reason enough for a positive review, yet it only got better from there. I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment but was still met with a delightfully cheerful greeting. Once the appointment got going the real professionalism began to shine. Danvi made the first few examinations as painless as I've ever experienced. Then Dr. McCrackin took over with the optometric procedures in as patient, meticulous, and thorough a manner as I've witnessed in the 43 years that I've been wearing glasses. To top off the entire experience, when it came time to select the new frames and lenses Abbi's assistance was nothing short of amazing. I've never been any good with the design decisions when it comes to eyewear, but this time was enjoyable, stress-free, and thoroughly to my liking. I plan to recommend The Oculist to anyone in need of vision correction.

They have a contraption that allows them to skip the dilation drops which I really appreciate- no need to balance funny paper sunglasses on your face for however long after the appointment. I personally don’t like to return to work while the effects of dilation persist so this is a big perk for me. Great range of frames which is just generally nice to have considering that so many insurances help cover them. I dislike the hassle of having to bring my prescription somewhere else to order frames and go through the insurance process all over again. Two birds one stone. Sweet and sociable staff. Very helpful and patient. I appreciate that they help you think through frames that are likely to be flattering so you can explore your options. Makes you think outside the box a bit more.
