I have been avoiding a vision exam and getting new glasses since all the craziness of the pandemic and, with my busy schedule, I just could not get myself moving on it! Someone recommended hey wear and i am so grateful! Easiest and quickest experience I could have asked for and I love my new glasses! The staff were also so friendly and helped me choose between two pairs. Was out in 25 minutes looking good 🥸 and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

Visited this place earlier today and from the beginning the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to try on frames and decide which ones I wanted while also receiving help from staff. I did not have a prescription but they were able to do an eye exam for me that comes with a fee but it was really quick. The process was very quick and the staff were 100% helpful. I definitely recommend if you want to get glasses for a good price + a quick service!

Workers were absolutely amazing and so friendly! I was helped by Vanessa and Freddy and I felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout the whole examination and they made sure to listen and accommodate all my needs. (They were so nice and sweet they deserve a raise @Heywear) Not only that, my glasses were ready so quickly!!! LOVE that I can go in, get an Rx, and leave with a new pair of AFFORDABLE and stylish glasses in under an hour. It actually felt like a miracle. Most of the frames felt like they fit into a specific style (very fashion forward), but I would've liked to have seen a few more mainstream options that felt less like a statement. That said, I loved the frames I left with and can’t wait to no back!

Expensive was the first impression I had for getting a pair of glass in New York. Fortunately I found out this place where I got two glorious pairs for less than 300 in less than 30 mins!!! Design of the frame are fashionable and price is super competitive across nyc. Highly recommend!!!!

The reviews are REAL! They have such an awesome selection of frames that fits all budgets. The first wall of frames are their new, more expensive frames. If I remember correctly, the farther you walk down the wall of frames, the more cheaper/discounted the frames are. The employee, Freddy, was very helpful and easy going, when asked numerous times about what size and colored frames fit my face. He asked me what is my occupation, and the dominant color I usually wear on a day to day basis, before giving his professional opinion. After choosing my two frames, Freddy measured my inter-pupillary distance. I was then asked to fill out an online form that took approximately 2 minutes to complete. After the completion, I was escorted downstairs to where my eye exam took place. I failed. From the time my eye exam was concluded, and to the time both of my glasses were finished, I waited NO MORE than 15 minutes! I highly recommend HEYWEAR studio!

First time I've seen same day glasses in NYC, love this concept, so convenient. All the employees here are so kind and helpful and I was in and out in less than half an hour (I brought my prescription) once I had picked out frames. They have many options and plenty of mirrors. Also, $149 is so cheap to me, as I have a high prescription. I can't even find a -11.0 online for that cheap. Highly recommend.

My son and I had eye exams and I purchased 2 pairs of prescription glasses and he purchased one pair. Overall, the experience was amazing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and they had a wide variety of cool frames to choose from. From start to finish it took less than an hour.

I waited a few days to review, I went to their NoMad location and had the best experience. The aromatherapy hits you the second you walk into the building, there is an elevator! Their customer service was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Super chill, nice vibes. The coolest looking people working there are very friendly. Their selection of eyewear was quite nice, I really love my new pair. Their optician did an immaculate job tending to my vision needs, he really nailed the prescription. I usually end up with either too powerful or too weak prescription but when I put those glasses on (it took less than an hour and there are some good eats nearby) my world was changed. Excellent services, can't wait to go again. Check them out!

Love Love. Location: has huge sunny windows. Staff: Have cool off-green "French" workman's coats. Eye exam: star of the show. The woman who administered it was highly skilled and calmly friendly. The lenses I therefore got are exceptional in their sharpness. I now inhabit a new world. I can't say enough about your whole program. I just wish I had 6 pairs of eyes to need more of your products!

So glad I decided to go in… I’ve been searching for someplace that could have glasses done in a reasonable amount of time and Heywear more than fits the bill. Not only that I like the styles and I ended up buying four pairs of glasses, and they were all made that day before I left..within an hour! The staff was fantastic. What fabulous service! I’m a Brit who broke my prescription sunglasses on Day 1 of my trip to NYC. I needed to replace them urgently. I walked in at 10am and walked out with a new pair of sunglasses at 10:45 am. And that included an eye test, choosing frames and having my new sunglasses made. Snapped my glasses clean in half at 10 this morning, heywear moved quick and had me in and out by 12:30. The frames are good enough looking that I probably wouldn't mind wearing them indefinitely (I won't but that's not a knock on the glasses I'm just picky), and they didn't give me any trouble about getting my prescription to me with the interpupillary distance on it which is a rarity in my experience. For $150 I couldn't be happier, and I will be coming back.

Picked up my new prescription glasses within 8 hours of placing an order for them online. The staff was super friendly and adjusted the glasses slightly to better fit my face before I left. I typically purchase from Warby Parker but I think I’ll be sticking with Hey Wear from now on! Only recommendation is to add photos of people wearing the eyewear styles in your online shop to make it easier to understand the size of the frame before purchasing. I just happened to make a good guess and my new frames fit my face perfectly! I do also like that they offer returns.

I was very suspicious of all of the good reviews (like how are there so few negative ones). But I went on Saturday because I needed new glasses, and to use up my FSA before the end of the year. I got 2 pairs of eyeglasses and 2 pairs of sunglasses and an eye exam for $655, and my glasses were ready within the hour. The most expensive pair I bought was $300 (because it was a design collaboration), and the least expensive was $75 which I am wearing right now and are great. Glasses and frames have historically cost me $300 per pair, mostly due to the high index lenses, and then you wait 2 weeks to get them. This is cheaper than Costco, and the fastest I have ever had glasses made. I will definitely be coming back for glasses in the future.

I walked by the store in NoHo and was immediately struck by the inviting nature of the store. De, the head of the store, is an absolute pleasure to deal with and she helped me zero in on the right frames for me. The selection isn't huge, but they have great frames and an excellent staff - quality over quantity. My frames were ready in about 20 minutes. More impressive than the speed and professionalism is how the Heywear staff helped me with how the glasses fit on my face and felt on my eyes after the frames were ready; they took the time to ensure I was totally comfortable. Thanks Heywear for my new frames that have been garnering lots of compliments! And the price can't be beat...Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Hey Eyewear enough! I was leaving for a trip overseas within 48 hours and lost my glasses . I was in a serious pinch and found this gem of a company during a frantic google search. From the moment I walked in to the Soho flagship I felt a sense of ease first with Ryanna the Sales Associate who helped me pick out the perfect two pairs (and was also super sweet to my kiddos) .I decided to get the eye exam that is included and I was even more amazed by the technology they used ... they realized right away I had some eye issues that even my regular eye doc had missed and recommended I see a ophthalmologist .These eye issues meant that my eyeglass prescription would likely be changing after I saw the ophthalmologist after I got back from my vk and the new glasses that they were making me that day would need to have the lenses switched out. They were so awesome about that too because they knew I just needed the glasses badly to hold me over till I got back!!! And De, who is the incredible sweetie who heads up sales, assured me she would have their lab tech Joon switch them out to what ever I needed when I came back! Can you believe this place? So affordable and so quick, and such great quality too!I am so happy with my 2 stylish pairs , the service and of course the eye health care provided !HeyEyewear is absolutely delightful, this spot should be your go-to for glasses all the time, not just when you need them fast and are looking for something less expensive !

This is way much better and convenient than traditional way of this business. The eye exam is very professional and they even check more items than what I regular have at Costco and JC penny. Literally after 10 mins of my exam, I had my new glasses ready to wear. I would get a second soon once they have new frame. I have high prescription and I don’t think I can get this price anywhere else per my experience at other places.

Found this place on TikTok back in 2020 and they are AMAZING. My eyesight is terrible (-7.25) so my experience with getting glasses has always been painful. Several hundred for frames + lens since I need high index plus longer turn around times from retailers that need to send them out. Heywear cuts the middle guy out and gets you out the door with a new pair in less than an hour for anywhere between $75 (if you’re lucky to catch the sunset sale) or $150. This automatically includes lens, high index, anti-glare and I believe anti-scratch (but I’m not 100% sure on this last one). All you need is a copy of your current prescription and show it to them via email or hardcopy. Or, they can do an eye exam same day if you need one. Pick your frames (comparable to Warby Parker and SEE in terms of style but I would say a much smaller selection/assortment), give them your prescription, they’ll do some additional measurements with your eye + lens, and within 20 min to an hour, you’re out the door with a new pair. Got my first pair in 2020 and decided to get a new pair today. Amazing service and I’ve been recommending this place to all of my friends!

HEYWEAR definitely took the stress out of getting an eye exam. And made it easy to get into a new pair of frames the same day. Usually getting an exam I’m a little stressed out and picking out frames feels like a grueling process but nope not this time. The frames are all great quality and trendy and it was easy to find something that fit my style. The staff were all really sweet and engaging. And the exam was super modern, and efficient. It’s amazing how far technology has come. But 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely be getting some Sunny’s soon.

I was able to get my glasses the same day which was surprising because I have a very strong prescription that I always have to pay extra to have thinned out. They did this at no extra charge. Their frames are good quality, the service is fast and reliable. The frame selection is broad enough to find something you like, but narrow enough as to not get overwhelmed with the options. They also offered a warranty on my lenses, which I broke by accident. I only wish they offered transitions, but other than that I am very happy with the service and would recommend it highly :)

They whole experience was amazing - from walking in the door to the thoughtful and sleek decor, the super friendly staff, curated selection of frames and even the exam itself, everything was super streamlined and efficient. I got my frames in under an hour as promised - super lightweight and stylish. Also the price point is amazing, normally I’m out $500 when I lose my glasses. I only wish they’d bring a few stores out to the west coast!

Went there a couple of months ago. Okay, I was the oldest one in the store but was glad I went. The appointment process was easy, they took me on time, the staff was friendly and professional and the examine was thorough. To her credit one of the optometrists who supervised the tests discouraged me from getting my glasses there because I have only one good eye and she suggested I seek the additional protection of carbonate lenses. Also they do not yet do graduated lenses. I assume they'll do both as they grow. Nonetheless I had them make one pair of glasses for me (I originally was going to do two) and, as they advertise, they were completed within a half hour. The frame selection is not huge but I had no problem finding a frame to my liking; I later took my prescription elsewhere and purchased the carbonate lenses that I had them swap into the Heywear frames. All in all a very good experience -- I hope as they grow they add carbonate lenses and graduated lenses. I'll return.

Had a great first visit experience at heywear; am currently wearing my new prescription glasses and my vision is so clear and my eye strain is gone. Everyone was very nice and helpful. One thing that could have been better is a clear explanation of what’s going on with my eyes and what my prescription is. I had two exams, but neither of their conclusions were given to me. I was politely ushered back upstairs, given my new pair of glasses, fitted, then they said goodbye—the technicians didn't deliver any comments to me post exam on what would be necessary in my corrective lenses. I was told I may receive a full detail on the exams via email, but an hour after leaving I haven’t received that yet. It would be nice to know in person what’s going on before I walk out. But otherwise, it was very quick, convenient, and they had a lot of great options for lenses to choose from.

Amazing experience! I have an optometrist already, but tried on some of the frames and fell in love with the Indiana style frames in Peach. The whole process was thorough and quick- they took my prescription info, measured my pupillary distance (a measurement I didn’t have already from my doctor), and my glasses were ready to go in under 20 min. Maddie was extremely helpful in adjusting the frames to fit my face and align perfectly. 11/10 recommend!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I feel like I found a unicorn. I've worn glasses since kindergarten and have never experienced the kind of customer service that I got today at HEYWEAR. The 3 step model of picking your frames, getting an exam, and immediately leaving with your new prescription glasses is mind-blowing to me, not to mention the really, really simple and low cost with no insurance needed, and the *really* well designed frames. The staff was warm, thorough, efficient, delightful-- I honestly could go on all day. I will be sticking with them from here on out, and I highly recommend them to anyone that wears glasses.

I’m going to start this review by saying that I was skeptical at first because everything sounded too good to be true.. however it is exactly what they say. Not only are the glasses great quality and stylish but the experience of everything is the cherry+ caramel drizzle on top. I went in and left with 2 new discounted glasses (as seen in pics) 20% off, free exam, and was done within 30-45 minutes. Everything from deciding the pair of glasses to the exam was wonderful. The staff is lovely and Hannah specially was the absolute best. Definitely coming back!

Normally I need pick up my prescribed glasses after 10 days in other stores. In here, You just need 5-10 mins! Staffs here are super helpful and friendly! Excellent customer service!! This was a very good experience. I desperately needed a pair of distance glasses that looked good and I did not have my prescription but true to their ad I was examined and had a great pair in record time for an astonishingly low price. One thing I could say that in the future they should explain that testing one's eye pressure does involve a strong puff of air. It startled me as I am used to another method altho this one is common. PROS Speedy and friendly in store customer service. Hannah, at the Noho location, was very helpful and suggested frames that worked best on me. I was able to get an exam, select a pair of frames, and walk out with glasses same day (lenses are cut on the spot). Amazing! I’m seeing far more clearly than before and without the headaches I typically experience when prescriptions change. I also found them to be responsive online as well. Derek was very helpful in answering questions I had before and after my visit to the studio. CONS They have a good selection of plastic frames but for anyone in search of frames with nose pads, the options are limited. For those with high prescriptions, keep in mind they do not provide edge polishing here. So, while they provide hi-index lenses (at no extra cost!) depending on your prescription and the frames you choose, you may find the lense thickness is more noticeable (white ring/edges) and less aesthetically pleasing due to the matte finish on the edges.

HEYWEAR is a store+service that I didn’t know I needed, but am so glad I found. I walked in off the street and was in and out within 40 min. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They helped me choose a pair of frames, took some measurements and then I went downstairs for an eye exam. Passed by HEYWEAR the other day and was lured in by the sign stating glasses could be ready in less than 30 minutes. I dropped in, handed them my prescription, and walked out with a fresh pair in about 15. Really stoked about the new frames. Also for anyone with a strong prescription, HEYWEAR doesn't upcharge for ultra-thin lenses! I've never seen this before and have always been accustomed to paying extra for this (Warby charges almost double for high-index lenses, for example). Can't recommend enough. Speed, value, convenience, service, cool frames.

I went HEYWEAR studio just to check it out and walked out with two pairs of amazing glasses! The glasses are great quality, and you cannot beat the prices: $99 for one pair and $169 for two pairs. I just discovered HeyWear after walking by their Soho location this afternoon. Absolutely amazed that they offer an eye exam and glasses (frames and lenses included) all in a 30 min appointment for $99! My prescription is VERY strong and they carry the lenses, don’t upcharge for a high prescription AND gave me $20 off my first pair 😍 It was a pretty smooth experience- I will say my only disappointment was the female associate on the floor helping me, took my prescription info down and went to see if they could accommodate my high prescription and then came back up and didn’t give me any update until I went up to them. They were learning against the glass and to the side talking to someone (unsure if it was an associate or customer) but it would have been a slightly more professional/clear experience if they had come and given me an update at the very least, rather than have me sitting there in a relatively empty store with no idea if I should stay or go. They were very helpful in selecting my frame and ensuring I was choosing a good size. When it came to fitting the frames, this same floor associate wasn’t super clear on how to ask me if they were for reading only or everyday wear and when I said I do read in them BUT I predominately wear them everyday, they then read off the options on their sheet said ‘Well, I’m glad you said that’ and effectively made me lose some sense of confidence that this employee was qualified to be measuring me for lenses- which are an investment and a medical device I really don’t want to have fitting or designed improperly for my eyes. I felt fairly concerned she was going to order the wrong type of lenses for me. I think this associate (who was female and first initial to their name was R for clarity) could use a bit of training in providing thorough and professional interaction. I did had a positive experience with the new associate who fit my glasses. She was really kind and clearly excited to help me and appreciated my excitement over my new glasses. She also took the time to get me a contacts case so I could remove my lenses to try on my glasses and ensure I was getting the best fit possible. Overall, very positive experience. I was offered $20 off my first pair which was SO nice and I’ve already shared details on my IG/Facebook so my other friends can take advantage of such a great resource. Thanks for making glasses affordable and accessible. It’s so important and appreciated.

It was so easy! I passed by on a whim, found cool wireframe glasses that I liked. booked an exam on their website the next day, so I didn’t have to wait at all when I got there. Got an eye exam - which is like the fastest, most high tech eye exam I’ve ever experienced (I’ve been wearing glasses for over 15 years I so know). When I arrived I was met in a modern beautiful showroom/office by warm, friendly, professional staff. They just need to work out a few kinks! I went in last Sunday went through the whole picking, fitting, and purchasing process. Waited 15 minutes after I had been charged to be told that my prescription lenses were out of stock. They didn’t provide an option to pick up later or have them shipped which is odd for an optical store. Instead I had to reach out to customer service on their website to find out when they would restock my lenses. I was happily notified today (a week later) that my prescription was in stock, but they didn’t have my fitting details or frames on file. I returned to the store to start all over again, but did come home with new glasses. They feel high quality! And am excited for this concept store to go more places, hopefully not just affluent neighborhoods like NoHo where people can afford $1200 glasses from Cutler & Gross or similar. I like cheap glasses because I chronically break them, and usually order online. But many people deserve to have access to affordable and high quality optical care.

The service was quick and efficient. From entering the door to leaving with a pair of glasses took about 50 minutes. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. There was a decent variety of frames, that you pick out while waiting for your eye exam - smart. During the exam you are on a wheeled stool and you move from machine to machine rather than waiting for the doctor to set up for different tests. The glasses are waiting for you once you come out of the test. Just FYI they are single Vision lenses, No Frills, no scratchcote, no transition, no progressives, the lenses are just for seeing one vision.

They offer an extensive collection of stylish frames— even hard to fit ones for those with short nose bridges like most Asians. I absolutely love the bold “Currin” style frames that I bought two, one in brown & nude tortoise shell, and another in a black with a hint of brown tortoise shell accent…so cool! The eye exam was comprehensive but only took 12mins and then the lenses were cut immediately afterwards so I got my stylish new prescription reading glasses in less than 30mins! The staff & ophthalmic technician could not have been more friendly & knowledgeable as well! Highly, highly recommended!!

I traveled to NYC from Texas over the summer and was thinking about getting a new pair of glasses soon since mine were outdated. Googled around to see if there were any of those “1-day glasses” stores around here. Low-and-behold, there was. I think I walked in on like a Thursday, so there weren’t a lot of people. The young lady who helped me out was super kind and helped me pick out my most favorite pair to date. Everyone else there was also very kind. I was surprised — the price was like $125 for both the glasses and eye exam, which was way less than what I pay for at Costco! It was also super quick — about 45 mins for the whole visit. It’s been about 4 months, and I’m still loving my pair. I highly recommend this place. The only bummer I can think of is that they don’t offer blue light lenses.

Hey wear is definitely the best eyeglasses experience I’ve ever had. I went there with my prescription which helped expedite the process a little but I’m sure even without that they would still have provided speedy service. The staff here are extremely helpful and pleasant to communicate with, I felt confident in my final decision because of the positive environment and reinforcement based on the specific needs I had explained to them, and I was in the store for about thirty minutes total. I wasn’t the only person either. I live in Harlem and they're all the way down in Soho and I'm constantly late so I was worried I wouldn't get there in time. Surprisingly enough, I did. They were very welcoming and reassuring. Very relaxed atmosphere while also very professional. I didn't feel rushed. Everyone did their jobs well and were upbeat. If I could remember their names I would shout them all out. The doctor was a bit dry and distant as he barely said much of anything, but everyone else I came in contact with was A-1. The only downside to Heywear(for now) is that they don't do progressive lenses. I forgot to ask about transition lenses. Also, no contacts either. Whatever the case, the entire process was quick. I'll definitely be returning

This store did not have my lenses (1.75), but I am still giving it 4 stars because of the quality, price point, and service. This is a stylish store at an affordable price. No hidden charges. Julio and his colleagues provided outstanding service! Some feedback: 1) I really hope Heywear can include more petite frames. currently, only the high-end eyewear market caters to these sizes. Heywear can be a game changer on this front. Hope to see some subtle cat eyes in petite soon! 2) the glass case could be improved to be more functional. The case squishes my sunglasses (which were altered to fit my face frame). All in all, great store. I will update my review once I have had the chance to try on my eyeglasses.

Communication between staff seems disorganized. I went in for an eye exam and was told that the lenses I needed were not in stock, so they said they placed an order for the ones I needed (which is understandable) I received an email a week later saying that my lenses were in stock and that I can come pick it up within a week. However, when I came into the store (the day after I received the email), they notified me that they were still not sure if the lenses were in stock. Their current available stock for lenses and frames does not seem to be communicated well to the customer and maybe even among the staff members. Otherwise, staff is very friendly and professional towards customers YMMV Edit: I forgot to mention that I still was able to get my lenses that day. The wait ended up taking ~45 min in total

Quick service and inexpensive! My single vision glasses came out to be $100. I have never paid so low for glasses before. For reference, my eyesight is -8.00, -6.00. Whole process from trying on frames to walking out the door with my new glasses took ~ 40 minutes. They can make a pair in 10-15 min, mine took longer due to my heavy prescription.

I have super severe near sightedness (means thick lenses), in which ray bans charged me an extra $500 for thin lens on top of of the frame fee AND i have to wait 2-3weeks for them!! heywear only charged me $75 inclusive, and no extra on the thin lenses!! On top of that, I only had to wait for 15 mins for them and they look great!! The only down side is that their frames are a little big for those with smaller faces, it took me a while to find something that I liked but other than that the service was amazing as well :)

I’ve never had a great eye exam/experience like I’ve had when I visited Heywear Studio. It’s been a struggle filling the perfect prescription for my eye strength so that just tells me the other eye doctors weren’t doing their job and just giving me whatever prescription they felt like. I left out of Heywear Studio a new woman. Not only was the prescription perfect, the staff really listened and cared and were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. It took only 30 min for a full eye exam and gorgeous glasses that you pick out yourself and everything is clean and sterilized and downstairs is where you are taken dor the exam. The doctors talk to you to know your medical and eye history. They also keep a record of your exam and prescription so if you come back for more prescription glasses you just pick out a pair and they will fill them for you. They also offer sunglasses as well. You get text alerts letting you know when they are ready to see you. I absolutely am in love with my glasses and the correct prescription and I will be back to pick out another pair for fall. Prices go from $50 and up. It’s worth heading down to Heywear Studio and experiencing for yourself.

I got my prescription glasses here a while ago, workers are very accommodating and kind. I came for new glasses for distance since I’ve used my old ones for 5 years and I was going away to college. When I got my eyeglasses for the first time I couldn’t see anything at all from a moderate distance—everything was blurry and I had a light headache for days, it felt like I was cross-eyed. I thought this was normal but this issue persisted. There was also a long wait time for the eye examinations and the exam felt too rushed for me. I went back to get them fixed hoping I could get a higher prescription, another exam, or SOMETHING to make my vision clearer but they said that the new prescription was the highest they could go for me? Apparently the eye exam also said I have signs for glaucoma? 1 month update and I can barely see words at a 3 feet distance and everything is just a blur to me. Sadly I cannot get a Rx check since I’m not in the city anymore, hopefully I can go to a nearby eye doctor to get a correct prescription.

This is not an exaggeration - easiest, fastest, and most affordable prescription eyewear process out there. Formerly a WP devotee, I used to pay $95 for frames, and an extra $75 for my high index lenses. Being blind gets expensive! I just paid $50 FLAT for a pair of glasses with high index lenses. And I got them in about 15 minutes. I will be a repeat customer. Also the frames are very cute and while the selection isn’t vast, there’s something for everyone.

So instead we did our eye exams and this is we’re my thankfulness comes in after receiving an extensive and very thorough eye examination dr.chang and team /staff saved my life because I’ve been suffering from migraines for a while and thought it was from the extensive wearing of my contacts but it wasn’t dr. Chang found swelling behind my eyes and urged me to seek emergency care and I listened to her warning right after I left I went to New York presbyterian hospital where it was confirmed that it was the best decision I made listening to Dr. Chang and the staff because i almost lost sight my swelling on my brain was also shutting down my nervous system from having so much pressure against my skull so I thank all the staff at hey wear for saving my life. and I love my glasses they are perfect in every way. I can finally se the smallest writing on the sight cards at the hospital 😂 great and Quick service for $125 plus a life saving experience. Wow, I came in after my glasses got ran over by a bus. My prescription was too old so I walked into heywear. The associates were brilliant in picking out a new frame for me and putting in for an eye exam right away. The amount of machines there made the exam so detailed and thorough. Mega affordable plus staffs were very accommodating. True that they give you your eyewear same day around 30-60mins from the moment you choose your frame.
