I’ve really enjoyed my experiences here. Every person from the eye doctors to the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Had an eye exam 6 months ago and they took great care of me. Fast forward to today, I had gotten something in my eye yesterday that persisted to today. I was able to make a same day appointment to get checked out. They found the issue quickly and prescribed me some eye drops to fix the issue. This place is really top notch and I won’t be going anywhere else for my eyes. Can’t say enough good things! I’ve finally found a great eye doctor in Nashville.

Things has definitely changed since I have been apart of Vision First. Recently, I had an eye exam and I never asked to try on contacts. I was “told” to try on contacts to see how they felt. Well, when I go to the front desk to check out, they charged me $45 for me trying on contacts!!! I never asked for contacts and I never asked to try contacts on. I never questioned it because I had to rush back to work, but it has become something every year. I have been wearing the same contacts for a while now, so me trying on contacts was unnecessary. They charge you for samples, but they never have your prescription in stock. Im trying to stick with Vision First, but it has become challenging every time I visit.

Highly recommend Vision 1st! This was my first eye exam since moving to TN and turns out I’ve had undiagnosed astigmatisms and I’ve been to the eye doctor every year since I was 8!! The new lenses to correct this have been life changing! I can now see at night driving and don’t feel myself squinting anymore which I began to think was normal!! Dr. Stinnett and the whole team were so thorough and accommodating throughout my whole visit! I can’t wait for my new glasses to come in!

So nice to be in a full service vision office with front desk staff that are welcoming and efficient. They accept a wide range of vision insurance, including VSP. My on time appt. was with excellent optometrist (Dr. Hoover) who took the time to educate/explain results and options, and treated me as a person responsible for my own health and decision making by giving me information needed to make that decision. You can get your prescription filled here if desired and there is a wide selection of frames from moderate to upscale pricing. I will schedule a later appt to get prescription filled. No pressure. The overall ambiance is of a private office not eyeglass mill.

Customer of nearly 20 years. In that time I have bought many glasses and had new lenses several times. Now that I am retired and it takes nearly an hour to get there, my wife asks why. This time the lenses must have been made wrong because I was having a difficult time. Dr N retested me, the staff made adjustments and new lenses are being built. I have never had an issue before and didn't want to be a complainer, but the team made me feel well taken care of.

I have been going to Vision 1st since 2014 and have not once been unhappy with my experience. I have had both Drs. Neuhoff and Odes and both have worked hard to get me the right prescription as my eyes have really bad astigmatism and vision. They are patient and helpful and take as much time as necessary to find contacts and glasses that work for me. Also Katie and Jennifer both know me by name and are helpful when it comes to some of the smaller details in regards to my prescription, insurance, and scheduling. I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

It was definitely a breath of fresh air to interact with the staff which was very helpful and friendly. Dr. Neuhoff is very personable, very thorough in his explanations of tests and mechanics of the eye, and took the time to answer any questions that I had. I have never felt like he rushed through my appointment to get to the next patient like so many other doctors do. We found out about Vision 1st through a co-worker of my wife's who drove from Dickson County for an appointment. She loved the office enough to recommend to our family. We live in southeast Davidson county and could go to a doctor closer to our home but believe it is worth the drive to come to this part of town because of the great service and expertise of the staff and doctors. He has attended to my family's eyes (myself, my children, spouse, mother, and grandchild, etc.) through the years with great care, concern and knowledge. This place is absolutely amazing. The staff was so extremely helpful and kind even when my daughter was being a bit difficult after cataract surgery. They worked with us and kept us informed about the arrival of the glasses. They are not very close to us but i wouldn't mind driving an extra 20-30 minutes just to see them. They also carry Miraflex glasses for children and they are just so cute!

I've been going to Dr. Neuhoff for over 20 years and it's the one check-up I look forward to every year. When you walk in the door you're immediately given a warm welcome by Kat and Emily. Every encounter with them is genuine and not the cold reception of "ID and updated insurance card" you get at other doctor offices. The last couple of years, Jennifer has talked me into opting for the Optos machine (sp?) instead of dilation. Poor Jennifer. The last time I was there it took over seven tries on my right eye, but she was patient and we finally got it! (I would highly suggest doing this and not being sensitive to light for the next four hours). Dr. Neuhoff is equally patient as I make him go back and forth and back and forth between the options to see how my vision has improved (or not). Then comes my favorite part of the appointment, I get to try on the different frames! Cindy has a great eye for which frames work with your face shape, hair color, etc. Seriously, I had no idea how much of a difference tortoise frames would make compared to black. Huge thank you to all of the Vision 1st staff and doctors for making each visit a great experience!

I recently picked up some glasses from my eye doctor (in orlando) and they didn't fit very well, so I stopped by vision 1st to pick up some nerdwax and they offered to adjust my glasses at no charge. I bought the nerdwax anyway and my glasses fit better than ever. Very professional and courteous staff, would definitely recommend.

OMG! I really do not know what words to actually put here. EVERYONE here has been by far the absolute best. I left this warm feeling office of Neuhof/Odes, for another office, due to the fact that Neuhoff/Odes were no longer in my network, which is the ONLY reason I left. However, I learnt that you can't always look at weather they are in your network or not, to me, its all about the warm feeling of the folks that make the business work. I chose to come back to Neuhof/Odes, as they are outside my network. Neuhoff/Odes Office is by far the BEST!! Cheers to Vision 1st!!!
