This place is EVERYTHING! I am experiencing double vision after emergency brain surgery and being 29, it’s frightening that this will be forever. Every single person in this office calmed my fears, made me feel appreciated and made my whole entire week. The genuine kindness and caring exuded from these doctors and nurses blew me away. I even broke down and cried a few times because of how good they made me feel. Super professional (with lots of laughs along the way.) Dr. Parsley is a MUST SEE! He is gentle, caring and thorough. Trust - you are in amazing hands at this facility. I can’t thank them enough for the experience.

We’ve been going to Dr. Durocher for 17 years. He is the best! He’s very thorough and doesn’t rush to the most extreme treatment. He realized my boys had functional eye problems when they were quite young and found issues that I didn’t even know they had. He keeps a close eye (no pun intended) on a situation I have to make sure there’s not any changes. But even more than that, Dr. Durocher is compassionate and personable. He really cares about his patients and their well-being. He takes time to address not only concerns but life in general. You don’t find many Drs. today who actually takes time beyond looking at your chart.

We had an awesome experience today! My five year old hyper little boy was very nervous about going to the eye doctor. Dr. Durocher and his staff were very patient with him, put him at ease, and got him to cooperate! My little boy wanted me to add he had a good time and thought they were great! Update my little boy is now 7 and has been diagnosed with tier 1 autism. Dr. Durocher and his staff are always wonderful and go out of their way to make my little boy comfortable during our visit. It is a long drive from our house but definitely worth it due to their expertise and care they give our family! Five stars everytime! They are Great!

My experience at OPMT has been incredible. I am a new patient, but I've been there three times in the past two weeks due to a condition. From the front desk to the nurses to the doctors....everyone has been very friendly. The doctor is extremely thorough. Appointments take some time, but that's because of their thoroughness and they take time to answer and any all questions. I highly recommend Dr. Durocher.

Dr. Durocher and his staff are always very friendly and courteous. The service is prompt, I never wait in the waiting room more than 5-10 minutes, and usually less than that. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Durocher for 3-4 years for our annual exams and contact lens fittings. He has cured both of us of incessant dry contacts by offering better quality lenses to fit our needs. Everything was explained to me. The eye doctor explained everything to me and I learned so much which says a lot because I have been seeing eye doctors for decades so many I didn’t think there was anything I hadn’t heard before. The eye doctor is fine, does his job well. I had a bad experience with the other staff there. The woman who helped me didn't say hello or tell me her name, and she pushed one of the machines into my face during a test (which I do not believe is supposed to happen). I usually have a better experience, but this one staff member did not make my time enjoyable.

We have been very happy at OPMT for many years ... the staff & technicians have always been welcoming, courteous, professional & helpful ... Dr. Durocher is also attentive to more than “just” the eye care, he is looking at the “whole picture” & how that is affecting the vision. After throwing everything but the kitchen sink at my daughter’s concussion for over six months, he identified a very “visual component” to her concussion & after adding eye therapy to her regimens, we finally began seeing progress ... 18 months after “impact” she is finally free from all concussion symptoms & void of any long term impact to her vision (or anything else), very thankful for the care & service at OPMT.

I am visually impaired, considered legally blind. I have aight in one eye and it’s not very good. My first visit I was met with kind faces I couldn’t see. I was not very hopeful about them being able to help me see better and yet once the process began I couldn’t help but turn hopeful. With every turn of the lenses I started to see what the people around me looked like. For me that was amazing. Then it was taken a step further, they started trying out magnifications to help me read. I tried not to get my hopes up but when they brought me a magazine to see if I could read it I cried. I was able to read it and they were so supportive through it. They changed things for me and were willing to put in the effort to find what worked for me past the point of just wanting a paycheck. They genuinely care about the people they see. I am glad to have this amazing experience with them

The doctors and nurses are great. I have always disliked the part where the lady tries to sell you glasses. When you opt out or buy the least expensive pair, she pouts and becomes less friendly. Second year in a row... she must work on commissions!

My first visit to Opmt was good contact lens was reasonable. But with my eye disease keratoconus requires a special lens which insurance want pay for I was told I had to pay $300 before they would order them after then I would have to pay $200 before I get them that would leave a balance of $300 I have never experienced a payment plan like that before they said they would work with me by setting the payment plan so high no problem with Dr Duricher but Opmt putting money before there patient and they're not a small company

I feel compelled to give a big thank you to Dr. Richard Durocher. He was able to see things in my child that other specialists in other areas could not. He was able to tie things all together in a situation that has been very perplexing. If you have a child who struggles with attention, headaches, focus, or learning issues, I would highly recommend that you go to him and have him do some assessments of your child's eyes and vision, to see how their eyes work separately and together and how they communicate with the brain. He is one of the best clinicians I have ever been to. I love those M.D. types, and they also know their stuff, but sometimes you don't need a doctor of medicine to help you SEE what is going on behind the scenes. Thank you, Dr. D!

I highly recommend this place for anyone getting an eye exam. The doctor is knowledgeable, patient and explains everything well about the issues and remediation. The staff is also quite helpful and friendly. They take time in understanding your concerns and for the tests, without any hurry. So, if you make an appointment, make sure you have 1-1.5 hours atleast. I am glad I found this place.

I visited OPMT's Belle Meade location earlier in the week to pick out glasses for my toddler. Prior to the visit, I had looked at glasses at four other businesses around town. I ultimately chose to purchase my little guy's glasses from OPMT (despite the fact that they were more expensive for the particular lenses we needed) because of the time they spent with us and particularly because of how gentle they were with my son, who had had eye surgery just 4 days prior and was suspect of anyone going near his eyes. There is no end to the good things I have to say about the front desk staff and the opticians. We are huge fans and we'll be customers for life!
