The optometrist office is not marked and so I did not know where to go for my exam. I stood in the optical department for about 20 minutes and no one addressed my presence. I think the optometrist office needs some signage so patients will know where to go for their exam. Otherwise everything else was excellent. I was quite pleased with the receptionist and Dr Zingle. I definitely plan to return next year for a follow up exam.

I decided to return to Dr. Jackson, even though I didn't think she took my insurance. However, I discovered that she does take my insurance, which is great. My exam was efficient, thorough, and she really listened to me. Every doc I've been to won't even talk about options to progressives. She actually listened to my concerns and questions and didn't push progressives on me. In other words, she met me where I was at. By day, I work as an editor and educator in patient education. This is the first time I've met Dr. Jackson and am please to report she spent extra time trying to find the prescription that best suited me -- not just "option 1 or 2". She added some and then took away, adjusted the angel at which she treated my astigmatism. She was patient and explained how the eye and contact lenses work. The first time that's ever been done and I've been wearing contacts for 12+ years. I recommend Dr. Jackson for any patient looking for eye care.

I have been going to Dr. Jackson for the past six years after my first optometrist in Nashville fitted with a prescription that was incorrect and a year where my vision was slightly off without any sense of wrong-doing. Everything was great just that relates to the exam! When it comes to the pricing I remember that other locations completely covered 1-2 pairs of glasses but I ended up paying a decent part of it. I rated this a 4 for that reason. BUT It was AMAZING as an experience!!!

It also helped that walking into a Target didn’t seem as scary as a huge medical building. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful!! I waited too long to get my eyes checked that I definitely needed glasses, but he explained to me why I needed them, some preventative tips, and best practices to take care of myself (my eyes) moving forward. I’m glad I saw him sooner than later! 10/10 recommend just biting the bullet, pay the $50 and get your eyes checked!! It might save you from a more drastic visit in the future. PS: The eyeglasses team afterwards helping me pick out my first ever pair was AMAZING! They were so helpful and you’ll want to be friends with them when you leave! Great people who absolutely love what they do! Makes ALL the difference!!
