I had what began as a re-fit for contact lenses but through the process it became a very intense review of my overall eye health and options. The Dr was extremely thorough and knowledgeable and his assistant (not sure what title) was super kind and easy to work with. They took multiple images of my eyes and repeated tests to confirm things. I felt I got way more than I paid for and highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking superb care and great value. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Timely, quality professional eye care After having had to endure the experience of a large ophthalmology practice with long wait times, two hour appointments and unfriendly physicians for several years- Optometrist Specialty Group has been a Godsend. Dr Pegalo is always on time, the waiting room is never full, the appts are NOT two hours long and he’s thorough, professional and friendly. The office staff are also very welcoming. Dr. Pegolo uses state of the art equipment and offered the latest version of Transitions Lenses when I purchased my eyeglasses conveniently at the same location as my eye exam. Dr. Pegolo is one of the best! I’ve been a patient for decades. I have more confidence in him than almost any other doctor, of which I have many. I have a rare blood disease that can affect most organs including my eyes. It can cause major issues with the eyes, and Dr. Pegolo took the time to actually learn and research everything he could about the disease, so that he could better understand what I’d need. Very few medical professionals have ever done this. If he’d do that for me, imagine what he’d be willing to do to help you. FYI, best optometrists office ever!

Covid practices seem good. Wait in car until called in, things are marked as sanitized, hand sanitizer is available, photos are taken instead of eye dilation to reduce time in waiting areas, etc. Otherwise, they still have the food network on in the waiting area which I personally feel is the best channel for a waiting area, and the staff is friendly and attentive. As for the doctors themselves, I’ve now had the pleasure of seeing both Dr. Colasurdo, and Dr. Pegolo and have only good things to say. They are both professional, informative, and pleasant to interact with. If there was anything I’d critique, it is that it did take 5-10 minutes for me to see the doctor after being initially seen by the nurse. Outside of that, I would, and have recommended this practice to others.

My experience at Optometrist Specialty Group was comforting notwithstanding I was experiencing anxiety over blurry eye vision caused by the growth of cataract(s). The office staff was professional and friendly. The wait time was minimal and Dr. Pegolo was extremely professional, charming, engaging and patient in answering my questions and explaining (through slides of pictures taken of my eyes) the intricacies of how cataracts grow and progress. I left his office with less anxiety, and looking forward to my cataract surgery. Just today I made a follow-up call to Dr. Pegolo to ask a question about follow-up after the cataract surgery. Chrisy answered the telephone, explained that she would pose the question to Dr. Pegolo and get right back to me. Chrisy returned my call within 15 minutes time. I'm extremely happy that I discovered OSG which is about a three minuted drive from my home. I highly recommend their services.

I had an eye problem over the weekend. By Sunday morning my eye was red and I was in a good amount of pain. I couldn't reach my own eye Dr. Urgent Care didn't seem to be the way to go as I knew they'd tell me it was pink eye. I did a search and found this business page, left a message for Dr. Pegolo and he called me back within a few minutes. Within the hour I was at his office, and he diagnosed my problem. Not only did he take time out of his weekend to come treat me, he did it for someone who wasn't even a current patient (though he certainly has earned me as one now).
