This visit was a little stressful for me and Dr. Lisa put me at ease. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. I love the frame selection and the whole vibe of this place.

I get my eye exams done here, because I like supporting a local small business that has extremely friendly and thorough employees. They don’t over-schedule, so I never have a long wait time to be seen, and they don’t try to upsell me or push me to pay for unnecessary things the way some of the larger practices have done to me in the past. They’re easy to work with and do a great job every time I’ve gone in.

She takes the time to sit down with me and answer all questions that I have. She is so personable and always remembers details from our conversations at previous visits. Amazing COVID protocol— The entire practice was cleaned between patients. The front office team was kind and knowledgeable and the doctor was great! Everyone took their time and explained each detail of the appointment. For someone who has seen an eye doctor every year for 20 years, this place was top notch!

This was my first experience at any medical appointment during Covid precautions. I was the only patient in the office, there was hand sanitizer, signage about masks and cleanliness, and Both the doctor and front desk associate were masked. The process was relatively quick but detailed enough. Pleasant conversation and explanation of my eye scans and prescription. My options with insurance were explained to me in detail. I would highly recommend Urban Eyecare.

100% recommend it, we are from TX and while vacationing this summer my daughter got kicked on the left eye at the pool. Due to COVID no other place would take walk ins- Urban Eyecare did, in fact it was the Dr day off and still she came and got my daughter checked.!! Thank you so much!! This is a great little family type eye center. The staff are especially courteous and professional, and the Doctor took extra time to talk about my eyes and their health. The only reason that they did not get a 5-star rating from me is because of the length of time that it takes to get the glasses once they've been picked out (over 1 week.) Know this, the only reason that I did not take my prescription and go to one of those 1-hour glasses places was because of how friendly and professional the staff was. I cannot stress that enough. Good work, Urban Eyecare & Eyewear, you have a great staff. Maybe look at getting a better contract from whomever makes your glasses for you. You're missing out on the entirety of the "emergency" market of this business. If someone breaks or loses their glasses, they cannot utilize your service because of the urgency of their need. Trendy interior, helpful staff, and a very personable doctor. I liked her a lot. They're also open one Saturday a month and until 7:00 pm on Tuesdays. Both big pluses in my book, as I work a typical 9-5. My only issue was I felt they didn't have the largest frame selection for men. If I had to guess, about a third of their collection is catered towards guys.

I was referred to Dr. Lansink quite some time ago after having a terrible experience with a different optometrist and feeling pretty defeated. I started seeing her, and this was before she opened her own practice, Urban Eye Care & Eye Wear. After having her as my doctor once, I felt extremely comfortable with her and knew who I’d continue going to for eye care. I continued my regular exams with no real change, except for a prescription upgrade here and there due to my awesome vision. Ha! I started having extreme headaches and missing stairs as I walked up them due to “not seeing them”, couldn’t see color out of one of my eyes very well, started seeing double all of a sudden.. completely random. I went to my regular physician as I thought I was just experiencing migraines for the first time in my life. (At this point I was 27.) He recommended I get my eyes checked again.. Ok, I suppose I’ll go back. Hasn’t been a year yet. But, at this point I’ll try anything! I went in and Dr. Lansink did some sort of tests on me (that even after all of the extensive eye treatments that I’ve had, I still have no idea what it was. But, am SOOOO grateful!) that basically proved I wasn’t crazy! Again, ha! I was, in fact, missing parts of my vision. Seemingly, out of nowhere. Exactly where I wasn’t seeing anything was exactly where her tests showed that I wasn’t. She knew immediately that things were definitely wrong and referred me to a Ophthalmologist with a Retina Consultant Group that diagnosed me with an extremely rare eye condition. Punctate Inner Choroidopathy with a Subretinal Membrane. (Uhhh, what?) Onset of it is completely random and does not care how well you care of your eyes. (Assumed to be autoimmune. Still no real information on the disease as the condition itself is rare and random.) I am so grateful that she acknowledged what was happening and because of that, I was diagnosed very early. I can’t thank her enough that she never “brushed off” any of my symptoms. (Mind you, she saw me as a courtesy with these symptoms, even though my insurance wouldn’t have covered it.) I literally wouldn’t have sight right now without her. Even after dealing with the aftermath of this and treatment for it. She recommended a form of prism glasses so that I didn't have double vision constantly and has been a saint with me as that prescription, and my sight changes. I get asked a lot from people close to me, knowing my vision issues, who I would recommend to them as an eye doctor. It’s always her. Also, Celena, her office manager (sorry if I butcher the spelling!) is AMAZING! Always willing to help out with insurance and eye wear selections. Truly an amazing place to have as your “eye care home”. Thank you ladies! <3
