I recently had an eye exam and purchased new glasses from a national company here in Albuquerque. After wearing them for a week I realized they weren't right. My depth perception was off and things just didn't seem to be as clear as I was expecting. My wife suggested that I get a new eye exam done at Dr Kehoes office to see what the results were. I went to see Dr Kehoe and got what I considered was a very through eye exam. He compared the results of his exam to the one I had received at the national company only a couple of weeks before. The difference surprised me to the point that I returned the new glasses I had just purchased and ordered new glasses from Dr. Kehoes office. They had a very large selection of frames and Mrs Kehoe helped me find just what I was looking for. I could immediately tell the difference with the new glasses from Dr Kehoes office. My vision seemed perfect and there was no depth perception issues at all. Needless to say I was more than pleased with the attention and service I received from Dr. Kehoes office. I would highly recommended them to anyone wanting to improve their vision. You won't be disappointed.

1/19/23 - Updating my review for today's visit. As always, everyone is caring, knowledgeable and just plain nice. What a treat to know that someone really cares about my eyes as much as I do, treats me with respect and wants me to get the best prescription and glasses available. My eyesight has actually improved since I began coming here many years ago. I don't know what I would do without Dr. Kehoe and Laurel to take care of my eyes. The staff if also amazing and I can't recommend Viking Vision enough - even if I'm an old NY Jets girl from way back! Dr. Kehoe is one of the best I've ever trusted with my sight. The exams are fool proof and I don't have to worry about whether I guess 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 correctly because he knows how to check and recheck to get it right the first time. Even my retinal specialist told me to keep seeing Dr. Kehoe for my regular prescriptions. Everyone takes their time with you and Laurel is wonderful when it comes to fitting my glasses correctly. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Kehoe and everyone in his office to my family and friends.

What I love the most about this team is that while Dr. Kehoe was figuring out my perscription for glasses, running the usual test where they ask "is this better or is that better," he didnt just stop at where I said it looked perfect, he continued to assess my levels & got it even better! He loves the Vikings football team & runs a contest to give away free glasses & contacts for a year too, every time the Vikings play a game! He's a lot of fun & very professional too! My wife & I both needed new eyewear and decided the we would be more comfortable seeing an optometrist in practice rather than one connected to an eyeglass "mill." Surprise! We couldn't have made a better choice. Everyone who works here is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Yes, they sell frames, but it's not a hard sell, and the selection is not only broad, but seemed to me to be able to suit anyone. If you decide to make an appointment here, you won't be disappointed, I'm sure!

Doc is the type of doctor you wish ALL doctors would attempt to be. He listens. He gives advice without making you go to WebMD to figure out what he said. He honestly cares that you have a good experience AND you see better. I've been to his office not only for the regular exams, but also to check my eye for sharp pointy things stuck in it. He was able to identify the damage, determine the object was no longer anywhere in my eye (or around it!), make the pain go away, and prescribed meds to heal the damage. Add to Dr. Kehoe's great ability and honor as a doctor a staff of employees who have his energy and desire to make you see better. They are wonderful. The moment you walk in you feel comfortable and welcomed. And, GO VIKINGS!!! 👍👍👍

The Dr and the office and staff are professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of my care and did the best they could for me and i loved the service so much that I’m paying out of pocket for a second pair of glasses 👓 do to my support for this small business it’s in my opinion better then the big wig places so if you want fast and efficient personal care go to Viking vision and see Dr Dennis Kehoe they are the best my vision hasn’t been this great in years

I would highly recommend Dr. Kehoe! I have had difficulty getting a correct prescription for new glasses since moving to Albuquerque about a year and a half ago. The two opticians I had seen previously didn’t take much time with me and I ended up with glasses I can’t see out of. But Dennis Kehoe was wonderful. He made certain that the lenses will work for me. I hadn’t realized that I was seeing double out of my old glasses or that I have an astigmatism! That was the most comprehensive vision test I’ve had in years! Dennis was very kind and interested in helping me. His staff was also very helpful and friendly. I’m going back today to get the prescription filled and he already told me that if the lenses aren’t right, he will make them right. Now that’s a good Optometrist!

Came about Dennis on a random recommendation by another office that was full. He showed me the difference between good vision and perfect vision. It's a surprisingly large difference. Beyond being a fantastic optometrist, he's a great dude. If you're looking for a true American Optometrist, he's your guy. Even if you are just going to get an eye exam and run, give him a shot. I bet you stay. He really likes giving free stuff away during football season. (I bet you get a discount if you tell him you're Vikings fan! :) Ha! )

They also treat you like family, they explain your insurance plans to you and what you can get. Brought my kids here 3 years ago and they won me over when Mrs. Kehoe gave my son a free pair of frames because his were so bad she couldn’t bare seeing him with his broken frames until the new ones arrived. This act of kindness may have been a financial loss for them but it made my son’s day and made me believe that there are good people out in the world. I had injured my eye somehow and knew it needed attention very quickly. I called Dr. Kehoe’s office and they got me in immediately. I had an abrasion on my cornea and it needed medicated eye drops. I started the drops that day. That evening, I got a text from the doctor just checking in to see how my eye was doing. I went in the next day so he could make sure it was healing properly. A few days later, my eye was completely healed up and I have Dr. Kehoe and his amazing staff to thank for getting me in so quickly. Everyone in the office is very welcoming, helpful and kind. well, I'm really glad i was able to finally see the Doc. I got my glasses from a different doctor last time because of time constraints and from the beginning they were wrong. Dennis (the doc) spent more time with me than anyone ever in the past and double checking and remeasuring me until he was satisfied. After we were done and he had things set he told me to look at the screen with my old and wrong prescription glasses and it was sooo bad. I had no idea that were that bad. Then he asked me to look through the prescription he set up on his machine and the clarity was, well, surreal. I'm not kidding. I'm an artist and and need my eyes and i never for a minute thought that my glasses i had were that much off. I don't have my new glasses yet, i was seen only yesterday but i must say, if what i was looking through is the indication of how well I'll be able to see I'll be completely blown away. I'm so glad I went to Dr. Kehoe, I won't make the mistake again of going to a different Doctor because of time. I've learned my lesson. Never take for granted your vision folks or shoes where you're on your feet every day. Go Niners!

Ok my lovely Albuquerqueians I had a problem amd to make a week long endeavor short I lost vision in my left eye amd was in extreme pain with light sensitivity I was unable to get an appt (not even same week much less a close to 4 month soon if you get my point) Dr. KEHOE was able to get me a same day appt in 3 hours!!!
