We couldn’t be happier with New Mexico Eyecare! We had just moved to the Albuquerque area from Wisconsin and had not seen an eye doctor in nearly 2 years because of Covid. We called around to a number of ophthalmologists and optometrists trying to get in, to address our need for new glasses as well as a concerning vision symptom as well. We were very glad when New Mexico Eyecare was able to take us as new patients and in a timely fashion, less than two weeks till our appointment. The eye exam was very complete, in fact they have a device that will automatically scan your eyes and determine your prescription though they still use the conventional eye chart and equipment to fine-tune your prescription (Is this better… or this?). They also have a machine that will scan your retina to look for any apparent issues inside the eye. Previously we had thought that only ophthalmologists had this type of equipment, and we were very reassured when Dr. Jentzen showed us fascinating images of our retinas and carefully explained in detail that the specific vision issue we were wondering about was fairly common and not something to be concerned with. With new prescriptions in hand, we proceeded to the extensive collection of frames to select our new glasses. They have a wide variety of styles and prices and we tried on many pairs till we narrowed it down to our “New Look” for 2021-2022. They then showed us all the options to customize our lenses to our needs, we can’t wait till our new glasses come in! The entire staff was professional, caring, and friendly. We were very pleased that they seem to be quite careful with COVID precautions, for example the staff wear masks, surfaces and equipment are sanitized, and they even sanitize the frames people try on before putting them back out on the racks. In summary, We are extremely happy with New Mexico Eyecare and would gladly recommend them to others for their eyecare needs.

I love this place! The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. My daughter and I were able to get in sooner than anticipated. The Optometrist, Dr. Jentzen, was so professional and knowledgeable. I loved the fact that he explained everything that was going on with my eyes. He genuinely cared about my situation. The owner helped me pick the perfect glasses for me and I love them! What other place will do that? The office space was very clean and the atmosphere was very inviting. I didn’t feel pressured to find frames right away, I was able to take my time and choose the ones I liked from the great selection of frames that they have. Of course the ones I chose were Michael Kors. I’m still getting used to my progressive lenses, it’s the first time I get them. Overall, I give them a 5 star rating because I had excellent service and I’m sure you will too! They are great people to work with!

I had an amazing time and experience the doctor that did my eye exam was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to explain to someone who was curious. I ordered two pairs of glasses one with transitions and one sunglasses I absolutely love both pairs and get tons of compliments. I opted for the new lens options that makes it to where anywhere I looked through my glasses is at prescription and I've got to say it is amazing. I take in more colors and so much more detail. All in all I would and do recommend them to everyone I meet.

I have been wearing glasses 20+ years so I have been through the eyeglass experience many times, with that I have to say that NewMexico Eyecare was the best eyecare experience I have ever had. My eye doctor was very thorough and was the 1st to tell me I had freckles on my iris. I also loved the option of the digital pictures taken vs” having to get my eyes dialated. The frame selection was priced unbelievably reasonable and I also truly appreciated the honesty of the people that helped me fit and order my frames and lenses. I was told about opting for a film that would cover scratches instead of a more pricey option that did not have warranty. Overall I truly would recommend them to anyone in need of glasses or contact lenses.

The 3 stars on this review is really only used to share experience as a whole. The optometrist was excellent and gave impression that he genuinely cared for satisfaction of the patient. On the other hand, the staff gave impression of only caring about making money. I was made to feel awkward that I wasn't buying new frames right away and staff embarrassed my wife when it came to contact fitting. Again, felt like we were viewed as money and not as patients. This is sad considering optometrist was 5 star excellent.

I am absolutely 100% happy with my decision to buy my glasses from NM Eyecare associates. I was able to find the perfect pair of glasses and I was so happy that the owner himself helped me make the right decision for me. I’ve been wearing glasses since 2006 and these are by far the best pair I’ve ever had. I was really grateful that they had given me a 20% discount as they have very competitive prices. I had one day off in the week which I never have and I used it to go all over town looking for the best glasses at the best price. I ended up being so happy at NM Eyecare associates that I said this is the pair and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely loved the service and I will be back in the future. I highly recommend them.

Exceptional staff. All the young ladies are extremely friendly, knowledge and professional. We walked in to look at glasses and were immediately greeted. The office is very clean and organized with a large selection of frames. The young lady who helped us was very kind and when we asked about discounts for self pay she asked her manager, Karen, who came over and was so kind and patient, offering advice on frames, styles and pricing. If you are looking for the best place for eyecare, you've found it. I have been coming here for 10 years. The doctors that are located here are kind, knowledgeable, and will listen to your concerns. When I first found this place, I was finally able to get an accurate diagnosis after years of not really knowing what could be wrong with my vision. When it comes time to shop for glasses or contacts, the customer service here is unbeatable. They will even help you decide on frames if you're stuck between a couple of choices, or colors of contact lenses. They are upfront about cost and won't try to sell you anything extra if you don't need it. Anytime I am asked where I go for my eyecare, I always recommend this place. Even though I've moved a couple of times, I still make the drive to this office.

I have been going to New Mexico Eye care for almost 20 years! I am so happy they have brought Dr. Haney on board. Not since Dr Dean gave I felt in such capable care. Dr. Haney is knowledgeable and a genuinely nice and caring individual. He has a great manner with adults and kids. The front staff are all very friendly and patient especially with my teen son trying contacts for the first time! David even took time to tighten my sunglasses while I waited. I have been with NM EyeCare for several years and loved Dr. Quick. Was sad to hear he left but very pleased with Dr. Haney and appreciative of his skills and recommendations. This is one of the best optometry offices that I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have an awesome selection of frames in their optical department. I appreciated the friendly nature of the staff and their assistance in choosing frames. One particular employee helped me to decide between frames when I had been indecisive in making my selection. I also loved the large selection of frames to choose from for my particular plan, whereas other offices are extremely limited in their offerings. And, although I chose frames that were only partially covered by my plan, my personal cost was minimal. Lastly, I appreciated that they sanitize between customers in trying on frames especially considering the COVID-19 pandemic. I was particularly lucky that the associates were so understanding although I tried on most of the store!

Never thought a place like this would make my day! Customer service has been like no other, at least in my 12 years of visiting other eye places. Thank you David and staff! For the first time in my life a Dr. actually took the time to evaluate and explain and even answer my questions that i have never been able to get answers to. Thank you Dr. Jones, (he's so nice). Greatest selection for frames through medicaid ins. and i never thought i'd be saying this but im actually excited to get my glasses (i can't wait)! Great people and great service, to say the least. Already scheduled my son and hopefully my husband for an appointment. Pretty far from where we are (Rio Rancho) but totally worth it and id rather my time and money go to a place where it shows that their customers are their main priority. Upon arriving we were greeted and welcome it felt great. Everyone seemed to be happy. Thoe they were short handed, customer service seemed to be on point. We were immediately seen after completion of our paperwork. The eye doctor was young efficient and fast. He joked and listened to what our we needs were in terms of glasses. Aubrey seen us immediately after to look for glasses. Selection was minimal and really only found one pair of glasses. I knew what kind of materials we needed. Discounts were given and helped out with the price and cost of the glasses after the insurnace paid there part. Aubrey was funny friendly and very professional. I suggest get more options on glasses. Not my first time here. But the options of the glasses keeps me from buying here. Thats why I have given them a 4 star. Other than that everything was 5 star rated for customer service and professionalism of this eye care clinic. Thank you Aubrey and staff for the great service.

So! People. There is a young lady name abury who is the kindest caring, compassionate and the most patient eyecare person i have ever met. And in 60 years i have been to alot. I have never been so satisfied with a company until now! There is a young lady named aubry who is just fantastic. She is kind compassionate, and she truley cares that when u leave that you are completely satisfied. She makes sure that when you are her customer that you dont leave there until you are happy with your product, the way they feel and how they look. I won't go anywhere else for eye exams. A Dr. came in on a Sunday for an eye problem. I have seen 3 different Drs here and all of them are excellent. Plan to spend most of your day here, but the waiting rooms are comfortable, there are tvs and they have the internet. I do NOT like the actual eye glass selection store on the north east side of town. Very snobby, overpriced and careless.

NM Eye Care Associates on Montgomery Blvd in Albuquerque NM is a very professional organization. I have been seen by this group for years. I have always been treated with respect whether I am taking my grandchildren for their glasses (Medicaid), whether I am being seen for a medical exam for glaucoma (Medicare) or when I was being seen as an uninsured client. My second visit was as great as my first! I'm fairly new to Albuquerque and originally picked NMEC because it was close in proximity. Now, no matter where I live in the future in ABQ, this is where I'm going for my eye care. I shopped for new glasses here and the staff were so helpful and personable and I love my frames. Yesterday, I met with the optometrist, Dr. Quick (who gave me more of his time than I have ever received elsewhere), about how the ABQ allergens were affecting my eyes and the areas around my eyes, and in less than 24 hours following his treatment recommendations, I am feeling so much better and my eyes look better! I loved that he prescribed affordable homeopathic eye drops, available there, and gave me good instructions about what I could do for myself at home. The staff have treated me very well both visits. This is my home base from now on for my eye care!

My husband and I have had appts routinely with Dr Jentzen for years. He has such a professional and kind way of doing his job. It's appreciated. This year, for the first time, we ordered our eye glasses through the office. Wow! It was a best ever experience going through the process. Chavella A. Is so very knowledgeable! She explained options, and made appropriate suggestions. She figured out what eyeglass features I had liked. She found options for me. Some weren't in my old comfort zone. Because of her, I have frames that I really like. Yet, I never would've tried them without her encouragement. I'm very thankful. Dr. Jentzen and Chavella A. are real assets to this good business. The others on staff are nice too.
