Had a great experience during my visit. Check in was on a kiosk and it was pretty simple. I was seen pretty quickly and felt like they did a through job and answered any questions I had. I went in to get some glaucoma testing and felt really reassured and was told to schedule another appointment in a year to follow up

I generally go here to see Dr. Middleton for my primary eye care. She’s the best. This time I was referred to Dr. Martinez for a special retinal exam. He was amazing. Great bedside manner and hilarious. The office also has a great workflow in how you get your different exams done.

I saw Dr. Leonard Friedman for years and had excellent and personable service. He is now retired. The new team may be excellent, but a patient is really just a number. No one answers the phone. You get to listen to a mile-long recorded message. I've been trying to check if my glasses are ready for pick up, a one-minute conversation (yes-no) but there is no extension to that section. Extremely frustrating.

All aspects of a visit - scheduling; checking in; pre-exam information updates; the exam itself; and check-out - are done with professionalism by the staff, and ease for me - the patient. Since I have been a patient at Visionary eye doctors I have been given 5 star service by the entire staff. My Dr always provide a warm welcome and greet me by my name. He also takes every step to ensure he is giving me proper and efficient care. 10/10 recommended.

I woke up with my left eye paining me. An appointment with my doctor wasn't available until the next day, so they referred me to Visionary. The staff, service and environment was excellent. My eye is better. Thank you Dr Saeed!! Happy New Year!!

Staff is friendly but the constant back and forth of interacting and waiting drove me crazy. I saw the same Dr for about 20 some odd years then another when after I stopped going there. Both I'd checked in, wait and see the dr. Not here though! I got in line and waited, was told to sign in on a machine which there's only one of luckily I was 1st in that line, then a wait, see eye tech, back out to wait, see Dr., wait in line to schedule next appt, wait, see guy for frames. It's just a lot of back and for and the tell you via email it can be up to a 2hr visit now I know why. Otherwise as said everyone was lovely. I did see that they kept turning walk-ins away even to adjust frames so just FYI make an appointment.

It's always easier to write a review when there's a point of reference from a comparable service provider. I went to GW two days prior for the same purpose, my appointment was with Dr. Bitar. I had a 10am appointment and by 11:40 still hadn't seen Dr. Bitar yet. I walked out after sharing with Dr. Bitar what I thought of their level of service. Went home, called Visionary Eye Doctors. Got an appointment for two days later. Showed up timely, and the services they provided were timely. All of about 40 minutes max. I couldn't be happier with the services provided and the patient centered care. This review is for a visit a year ago, I posted it in error for the Rockville location.

I very much like the doctors and recommend going for a doctor visit. This review is mainly about their optical department that you are funneled to after your doctor visit. Overall they are not the most organized or service oriented, but this latest interaction was very frustrating. I made an appointment to pick up a box of contacts - one would think that would about 5 minutes, but it took about 25 - there's just no reason that it should take so long to pick up a purchase.

Great first experience! Dr. Saaed was so nice and helped give me options to find the contacts that are the best fit and comfort for me. She also asked Dr. Sarezky to pop in, and he gave me the best explanation about pros/cons to surgically treating my cataract that I’ve ever gotten. Beautiful facility, lots of high-tech instruments (not sure what they all do but they seem cool), and great staff from reception to the doctors. I didn’t realize at first that I had been scheduled with an optometrist not ophthalmologist for a dual vision/medical appointment, but it all worked out in the end. Overall great experience and will certainly be coming back.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 and moved a lot as a kid, so I've been to 10+ eye doctors in my time. This was one my best experiences! I had an appointment with Maliha Saeed and she was thorough, took the time to answer all of my questions, and recommended I change my brand of contacts (already feel way more comfortable). The front desk was polite and efficient, and they appear to be practicing great sanitation measures for COVID. Additionally, the sales section was one of the best I've experienced - clear explanation of insurance benefits, adequate selection of frames, but best of all, no pushy 'you need to buy glasses here' behavior! When I couldn't find something I liked, they gave me my prescription no problem. Great experience, was in and out quickly, 5 stars. Wish I had found them sooner! Clean and pretty office as well and very accessible from the metro.

Annual eye exam for the two of us. First time, new patients and after a very bad experience last year at My Eye Dr. (Wisconsin Ave. NW), this was the professional office I was/we were hoping for. The rating should be in the range of (4.0-4.5) stars. The office itself is clean and the process from check in through check out was efficient and patient oriented. Erick at the front desk was extremely helpful and willing to print and coordinate sending of exam results, thanks! We first saw/examined by a very nice student doctor (Francois) and then saw Dr. Friedman who was engaging and helpful in his explanations. The optical technician was knowledgeable and willing to tighten glasses up and give us different pricing. I hope your experience is as good as ours. Enjoy! P.s. after reading other reviews my thoughts are that when scheduling your appointment the (call center) staff were a good source of answeriing insurance/benefits questions up front. Also, individuals should be familiar with their plans/benifits aswell so some of the blame, quextions, concerns and ultimately complaints emenate at the source (the patients.) Thanks Call Center! No pictures.

Rockville office. Very nice spacious office, upscale. Very nice, professional staff. They accept various insurances including Medicaid. Sometimes the office is crowded and we've had long waits (like an hour), but there's coffee and super informative videos from drs on staff that take the pain out of the wait. There's 2-hour street parking & a public lot directly across the street from the office; I paid about $10 for a couple of hours at the lot. Dr. Sarezky (cornea specialist) seems very knowledgeable about what's going on with my daughter's eye. We appreciate that he discusses treatment options with us. Going forward, we are confident he will continue to identify and implement the right treatment(s) for her eye condition. PS: If there were one thing that could be better, I'd say it would be that the "referring dr" and "dr referred to" communicate their findings directly - at least initially - because it is sometimes difficult for patients (and parents) to convey all the medical findings from one dr to another and that's important too.

The staff is great, I don't like checking in with a machine. It feels to impersonal but the overall time there is about an hour in half or less. The doctors don't rush you through the examination. Overall I would highly recommend the office at the Van Ness location. Train stops in front of the office.

The doctors have been very helpful during my visits there. However, trying to get through to anyone in the office is extremely frustrating, and most times the phone just rings, or you have to leave a message. Tried this morning to get through to my doctor, and it took almost 30 minutes between the transfers and hold time.....and was still unsuccessful.
