I am a T1 Diabetic and was referred to Dr. Wagoner when I had vitreous hemorrhaging in my eye that left me with very blurry vision. I was SO nervous and anxious because I know that diabetes can cause major vision problems or blindness. Dr. Wagner and his staff made me feel so much better and I left there feeling much better. They were able to fit me into their schedule immediately and was even able to get treatment to get my vision back. I would highly recommend this team to anyone and everyone! I am someone who sees a lot of doctors and really appreciate a good bedside manner and I definitely got that and then some during my visit. Thank you Dr. Wagner!!!

I’ve experienced other practitioners, including an unfortunate experience with a different doctor in this practice and I can state conclusively, there is no finer doctor than Dr. Kapil Kapoor.

I can not thank Dr. Wagner enough for them excellent care I have received from him and this staff. . The vitrectomy was well worth having done! All floaters are gone from my right eye and my vision is clearer than I can remember it ever being. I have some anxiety issues that led to a panic attack over my eye having to be covered for the first 24 hours after surgery. Not only did Dr. Wagner do an awesome job, but he, Joy and Allie were very supportive and spent a lot of tine on the phone with me during the that time. At the eastern shore location in Exmore the whole experience was not good. Had appt at 8:30am . Was told to take a seat. Didn't look at me and that is all she said. She was waiting on a man. The other desk person didn't get there until nearly 9AM. She cked me in told me to be seated. Said someone would be with me shortly. A person took me in back to get information then sent me back out front. Then another person took me to ck my eyes on some machine that she couldn't get to work. Back out to sit again. I could go on. To make a longer story short. I was there for a hour or so. Of that time i spent less than 15 minutes with an employee. They acted like they didn't know what they were suppose to be doing. I have been coming to you for awhile and never had this experience before. I will continue to come to Wagner but not on the shore.

Wagner's office his staff is very polite the office is always very clean and follows the guidelines necessary for protection on the virus which I truly appreciate because I have an autoimmune disease. The TVs that he provides for entertainment while waiting to see him are amazing I absolutely love watching them. I was nervous as hell about my appointment due to the nature of the visit, however from the moment I entered I was reassured with a smile. The office followed the Covid measures so my spouse was nicely asked to wait for me. We were both told that I was in great hands. I was escorted inside and walked over to check-in. The ladies were kind, not bubbly and over the top, but warm and sensitive. One of the first things I noticed, being a woman of color myself, was the amount of diversity present in the office. The ladies were gorgeous and of varied backgrounds. The ladies, including Dr. S. took great care of me Now, if I can just get my eyes to corporate!

I saw Dr. Wagner today. I know I am in good hands. Since I was diagnosed with a macular problem about 3 years in the left eye, I have seen Dr. Wagner, Dr. Kapoor and Dr. Berger. Recently Dr. Kapoor saw a problem in the right eye as evidenced during the normal picture taking process of both eyes at the beginning of each appointment. Dr. Kapoor immediately ordered the shot. I am profoundly impressed by your ability to see problems in my eye before I see any difference in my ability to see.

I have been a patient of Wagner Macula & Retina Center for 20 years now. For the first 15 years I was treated for Non-Diabetic Macular Degeneration. It became stable with medication so I was discharged. That was 5 years ago. I just experienced my first Diabetic related vascular hemorrhage and was referred back to Wagner's by my ophthalmologist. I went back. The support staff were as friendly and professional as they were years ago. Dr. Kapoor was very personable and professional. My experience with Dr Kapoor was excellent... five stars in every aspect. But dealing with his office Personnel was not as good an experience. To start with the person in charge of arranging surgery was supposed to let me know about my surgery the day I saw Dr Kapoor. She did not call until 7:30 the morning of my surgery to give me any information. I felt that was too late. Fortunately, the hospital had gotten in touch with me and given me all of the information I needed the day before my surgery. At my 24 hour post-op check up Dr Kapoor prescribed a medication for me that my insurance would not cover. The pharmicist and I made a total of four calls into the office to see if there was a way to change the script and we have never to this moment heard back from the office personnel. When you have to pay $300out of pocket for a prescription I think this does merit a response.

I'm pleased with my progress. I've gotten monthly injections in my left eye for 2 years. The issue that triggers my rare heart condition triggered something in my eye. I was extremely concerned about my vision. When I went to Dr. Kapoor, I asked, "What if this doesn't work? I have a job in finance. I can't be blind." Dr. Kapoor told me that I was jumping ahead. He said that he hadn't even started treatment yet. His confidence helped me to relax. After my first treatment, I started noticing improvement. I've seen all of the doctors there, but Dr. Berger's technique causes me the least amount of discomfort. It's not uncommon for me to be uncomfortable for up to 24 hours following the injections.

Dr Kapoor and Dr Wagner are the best in their field. They have been outstanding. I feel I owe my eye site to the two of them. I had a retina detach and it was diagnosed incorrectly by two other doctors. When I finally made it to them it was pretty much destroyed. After many procedures Dr Kapoor filled it with oil so I wouldn't lose it completely. Then we waited until it was safe. I was pretty much blind and would be if not for him. After three years they felt it was time to remove the oil. So far the site in my eye is coming back slowly. I know it will never be like it was before but it is amazing what I can see now. I truly believe that they are the reason why. I am thankful to have these two doctors living so near so I don't have to travel. But if they weren't here I would make the trip to wherever have them work on me. I can't express enough how awesome they are and how much they care about their patients. Great job!
