When you hear other people saying that lasik surgery was the best decision they have ever made and how it changed their life, believe every word. This review solidifies those claims. Choosing The Lasik Vision institute was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made to assist with giving me a new “view” in life. Friendly office staff, amazing doctors, wonderful customer service and scheduling department, easy payment options, etc. the list goes on. I would recommend LVI with a 10/10 perfect score to back it up! Thank you for making my days easier and future more clear!

Great experience. Friendly staff members. Went on Thursday morning for a free consultation at Tempe location. Decided to book the surgery the same day afternoon Scottsdale location. Went to chandler location early friday morning for follow up appointment. Got all three appointments done in less than 24 hours! Just a little swollen eyelids and that’s it. I can see clear!!!

A month ago I made a huge decision to do lasik to correct my vision so I no longer have to wear glasses. On top of that huge decision, I decided to do it in Arizona and not locally in Hawaii. I put my eyes in the hands of The Lasik Vision Institute in Tempe Arizona. The doctors and team there was awesome, welcoming and very thorough. One month check up today and progress is great and my vision is awesome!!! A very professional office.Takes time to answer any and all question and go into details about the procedure you will have. Surgery went great. It was fast. Healing overnight was fantastic. 10 thumbs up!!!!

The entire LVI staff was incredibly kind; they definitely have nailed the process down to a science. Within two weeks from my first consultation, I had the procedure done. I felt very well-informed by what to expect from the staff, and even got to see the procedure room prior to booking the surgery. I was nervous the day of the procedure, but there were a lot of others also getting it done, and they prescribed medication you could take prior to the procedure to help calm you, if you wanted to take it. They numb your eyes prior to the procedure so you don't feel anything but a slight pressure, and the surgeon talks to you while everything is happening, which I really appreciated. The whole thing felt like it took five minutes or less! By the next day, I could see as if I was wearing glasses or contacts. It's amazing. I would highly recommend LVI to anyone considering getting Lasik!

Writing this a few months post op to say I adored everyone at this office. From the people in finance, to the desk staff, to the folks helping you through the procedure. I came from another doctor who gave me a horrible prognosis that left me extremely anxious and nervous. The doctors here reassured me that I was clear for lasik and gave me the time to decide on my procedure and answered my millions of questions. Day of the operation I was so nervous but they helped calm me down so much, one of the techs even held my hand during it and I still am so appreciative of her. They give you clear instructions for post op and the process was just so easy. During my check ups I had a bit of anxiety as one eye was healing faster than the other and they helped explain everything and when I should come back at any point if something went oddly during healing. They really believe in their lifetime guarantee and encourage you to come back for visits if you have concerns. I can't recommend this office and institute enough.

You guys are amazing I felt right at home from the moment I stepped into your office. The experience that I had with these girls was incredible not to mention the doctor was so good that the procedure only took about 15 to 20 minutes for both eyes. The whole process from the consultation to the surgery was great. I arrived an hour early for my consultation because I was in the area and they were nice enough to see me early even when I told them if they couldn’t that would be ok. The consultation was very thorough and everyone I interacted with was very nice and answered all my questions. On the day of my surgery, everything was very efficient and fast. You can tell that they do this procedure a lot because they basically have it down to a science. I didn’t have to wait long at all, and the actual surgery was very fast as well. The doctor was very nice and talked to me throughout the whole procedure and told me what he was doing or what was going to happen. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience! One of the most important things to me is customer service and everyone that worked at this facility was super nice and professional. If you’re thinking of getting LASIK, then I recommend this place. The consultation is free so why not give it a shot?

I’m 41 and have worn glasses since the 3rd grade. After years of considering LASIK and a close call losing my glasses on a lake far away from home with my two littles, I finally decided to call to set up a consultation. I couldn’t possibly have asked to be treated better than the people at the Tempe LVI location treated me. From the moment I walked in, every interaction was not only professional, but extraordinarily friendly. They not ony tolerated but joined in my (nervous) chatter. They listened to my long-winded stories about what made me decide to do LASIK and of course tested me, shared possible complications, and sent me home with a packet of information to read thoroughly to ensure I understood the process. Once I make up my mind about something, I’m sort of a battering ram going after it full force. So I basically spent most of the day with them because I coincidentally scheduled my consultation on the only day the surgeon would be there that I didn’t have work or travel. I made the choice to do it all in one day and I couldn’t be happier about my decision. The surgery itself was as painless and everyone says. Pressure but not pain. And honestly the friendly staff made me feel so comfortable that I wasn’t even nervous until right when I was under the machine. I feel like I was in and out in about 5 minutes, but it was probably closer to 10. During the procedure Dr. B and the nice lady who was assisting him talked me through everything even when the laser was working on my eyes. Afterward, the staff were very gentle and helpful with me getting me safely to my ride home. Walking in the next day for my follow-up appointment was as if I was going back to see (with 20/20 or better vision) old friends. Everyone greeted me warmly and they were all just so happy for me. Angela, Megan, Jess, Kim, Dr. B! I’m grateful to you all and I will definitely be singing your praises for years to come!

Angela was so sweet! She made everything super easy to understand! The procedure was really quick and not super painful at all. There was a little bit of pain after about an hour after surgery but you can take some Tylenol and I felt nothing the rest of the day! Super easy, super convenient, super friendly! I’ve already recommended people to get lasik and I’ve recommended them to the institute! It’s been amazing to wake up and see as if I was wearing my glasses or contacts. Truly life changing!

I had my LASIK procedure just over two weeks ago and it was confirmed again today that I am able to see 20/15 in my right eye and 20/20 in my left, 20/15 together. This is such an incredible gift. I had a lot of anxiety going into the procedure but was reassured that the equipment used at this facility is the most up to date in the country and the surgeon was extremely qualified to complete the procedure. From the consultation through my second follow up exam I have been treated so kindly. My anxiety was apparent day of procedure and each member of the staff helped to calm that by answering all my questions, explaining in detail what was to be expected, I didn't wait a great amount of time for the procedure to begin, my hand was held during the procedure (which was painless and so quick), and I was walked to the door and made sure my ride was present. I am very active, have 4 young kids, and work as a retail pharmacist in front of a computer for up to 12 hours a day. To not have to worry about wearing contacts or glasses is absolutely freeing. I am so glad I had the LASIK procedure and feel so lucky that I was cared for by the incredible staff at the Tempe location.

As soon as you walked in it was a welcoming place. Everyone here was so nice and very helpful. Went into detail of every test we did without me having to ask, made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. By the time I saw the doctor I didn’t even have any questions because of how thorough the nurses were. I was able to get the surgery done a few days later and once again they made sure to explain what was going on every step. When it came to my turn with the surgery the doctor performing it made sure again that I didn’t have any questions and walked me through everything he was doing. Absolutely recommend this location!!

I’ve heard about LASIK for several years now ever since my sister had the procedure done. My twin brother and I were envious of the results, but due to financial strains, we kept on with glasses and contacts. A decade passed — my sister still has amazing vision. My brother, being pained all these years with poor vision, and with the cost having gone down, opted to get his eyes treated. A week later, after seeing his satisfaction, I also underwent the procedure. My procedure was pretty much painless. All lasers, no blades. The thought of a laser beaming into my eye and making permanent changes made me feel rather anxious, but those feelings were amiss, as it took only a few minutes for the whole thing to be over with. The doctor and his assistants were super helpful and kind. They made me feel comfortable, and did a great job explaining the pre and post-opt actions. Now, my mother will likely be doing LASIK after all her children have had it and their eyes are better than ever. My only regret is not having done it sooner. All these years of glasses and contacts... If you’re considering it, call them and go in for a free consultation. It’s so easy; and well worth it!

I have been wanting to get lasik for awhile now and had come in to see if I qualified a year or two ago but I was not ready. I finally made the decision to follow through due to my continued issues with my glasses and contacts. It was a quick and easy process! It literally took about 30min. Within the next day I was seeing close to 20/20 vision. It was the best experience ever! Everyone is great as well in the office. They really make you feel comfortable and answer all the questions you have even if they seem silly. Don't keep debating and just go for it!

I was able to have a consultation and surgery just a few days apart, the wait times were less than I expected and the surgery was not as bad as I imagined. I was very nervous about committing to the financing, lasik itself, and the post op routine. LVI staff - shoutout to Kim- was so nice & easy to work with. There was a lady there who I believe was named Jess. She answered a lot of my questions, gave me her personal experience, etc. I committed and I have zero regrets. It was so fast & went smoothly. My surgeon Dr. Kownacki was so incredibly nice. He talked to me throughout the procedure to help ease my mind. I could instantly see, and I started crying after the operation. So not gonna lie I was really sketched about getting this done. I hate the thought of anything touching my eyes. But hands down this is the best place with the best people AND the best prices. They walked me through everything step by step and explained in detail what they would be doing. As far as the procedure itself, I was nervous at first. I get pretty bad anxiety. Once I was in the OR, it was awesome lol. Completely painless, and extremely fast. Chill music. Didn’t freak out at all. If you’re considering getting LASIK, you NEED to use these people. I’ve done lots of research and called countless places. Glad I chose them. 5 stars all the way around. The healing process was unbelievably fast for myself. The very next day I was seeing 20/15. Better than 20/20! Super crazy. To heal fully takes about 3 months. But it gets better by the hour. No joke.

My experience at LVI was amazing. I initially went in just to get a consultation and see whether or not I was a good candidate for Lasik. The next week Kim followed up with me. I like The fact that their staff are very friendly and are willing to answer any questions you may have regarding the surgery. I ended up scheduling my surgery three weeks after my initial consultation. My surgery only took about 20 minutes and the doctor talked me through every step of the process. Quick and easy in and out was able to see the next day. Now I can see in 2015 vision which is better than 2020 vision. Love it!!!!

🎶”I can see clearly now the rain is gone.” I’ve thought about LASIK for years. The number one reason that kept me from walking through the doors was the fear of uncertainty. I knew nothing about the process of it all. The people that talked to me about lasik were ones who haven’t had lasik. So all I heard were horror stories. For the longest time, I even thought that they numbed your eyes with a needle! This year I was able to talk to my aunt (who actually got lasik at this location) and hear about her experience. This is when I found out that they use drops to numb your eyes. NOT needles. 😅 So I decided to walk in to get a consultation. The staff gave me such a warm welcome as soon as I arrived which set the positive atmosphere. I then met Megan who completed all my eye checks and spoke to me about the entire process. She answered questions I had and she helped me feel calm. After I found out I was a candidate I was excited. I then met Angela who helped me set up my procedure appointment and all my post opt appointments. She was so kind and also continued to be excited for me. Both ladies remembered my name when I came back. Megan was with me during the procedure with the best lasik doctor in AZ and continued to help me calm down. The procedure itself was QUICK and easy!!!! After the procedure, Angela called me ride for me and even helped me to the car. (if you two ever read this, I do go by Jayar instead of Marlon haha) Now a week after lasik, I’ve become the biggest lasik advocate in my friend group! I can’t stop talking about it. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to get the procedure. My friends even joked that I talk about lasik more than my sponsor. 😜 I see so much clearer. The are no hassle of having glasses and contacts. I am excited to fully heal and get back to jiu jitsu without having any contacts popping out. To start of let me say that everyone in this facility has treated me with nothing but kindness and care, which is why I chose to have my procedure done here. I had a procedure scheduled for a different time but unfortunately I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me with multiple broken bones and a long hospital visit which prevented me from getting my initial appointment done. Aside from the issues I was having from my accident I was totally disappointed I couldn’t get my lasik done, as I’ve been looking forward to this for years. Here I am four weeks later still broken and casted but determined to get my procedure done because I have been waiting what seems like forever to finally have the opportunity to do it. I couldn’t be happier with the whole process and the team here being understanding of my situation. If me coming in to get this done while being injured like this isn’t a testament of my excitement and trust for this being done than I don’t know what would convince someone else to come to the Lasik Vision Institute. Life changing!!! I finally scheduled my LASIK surgery and was honestly a little nervous BUT the staff at LASIK Vision Institute in Tempe made the experience so enjoyable. They really go all out on each of their patients. They know your name as soon as you walk in and make you feel like you are old friends. On the day of my surgery I was nervous but once again the staff completely put my mind and body at ease! In the operating room they cover you with a warm blanket and give you a stuffed animal to hold onto (it helped me relax a lot!). The procedure was quick and easy and Dr. Kao was amazing! He has such a calming voice and he and his team really did an amazing job! The only regret I have is that I didn't do this sooner!! The results are almost instant!! They answered all of the questions that I had and on the day of my procedure they talked to me the whole time to let me know what to expect and what was coming next. The day after my procedure, I was walking around with 20/15 vision as if nothing had happened. Procedure was completely painless. Recovery was shorter than I could have ever imagined. Staff were all kind, friendly, and even a little fun. The Dr Kao has been practicing Lasik so long, he was involved in Lasik research in the early 90s before it as FDA approved!!! I had a consultation with Lasik Plus two weeks beforehand. Their $250 Lasik offer you hear about on the radio is totally bogus. It's just a marketing ploy since that pricing is only available to a teeny-tiny portion of people who require minimal correction. In reality, they're about $300 more expensive per eye. They don't offer Contoura. They have fewer offices so I would have had to drive much farther for my procedure. Their doctors have performed less than half as many procedures as Dr Kao. And their best financing was 0% for 12 months compared to LVI's 18 months. I literally cannot recommend LVI enough.

They’re all incredibly kind and helpful, and many of them have been through this experience, as well. After my consultation, we booked my lasik for a week later— I thought it would be months before I could be seen, but they proved me otherwise. From the day of my consultation to the morning of my surgery the team at LVI Tempe displayed absolute professionalism coupled with personal attentiveness that made me feel more than comfortable about the procedure. On consultation day, Kim was there to answer all my questions about the financials and personally guide me through the process without making me feel like just a number – a true feat in my opinion. Also, despite the waiting room full of patients to be screened, Jess performed my initial exam like I was the only one in the building. She also shared details of her own experience with LASIK and helped reassure me there was nothing to fear. Next, I met with Dr. Kroona to speak about the specifics of the procedure and what I could expect moving forward. She was clear and competent with a comical yet caring demeanor during our meeting. It was at that point – even before the procedure – I knew I had chosen the right place. During my surgery, Dr. Kao did a stellar job of talking me through each step as he put in my punctal plugs and performed the LASIK. Staff and Doctors very nice and enjoyable. Frustrated with the 4-5 hour appointment for the eye procedure. Did some initial testing for 30 minutes, waited for 4 hours, then the procedure took 20 minutes. When I later questioned them about the lengthy wait, they said it was primarily driven by ensuring the payment was processed prior to the procedure (driven by patient’s banks). Suggested they process the payment prior to the surgery day to shorten the length of waiting. They realize this is an issue and are working on solutions. Despite this, I do recommend them, but knocked them a star due to the waiting time. If you go, try to pay prior to your surgery day to shorten your wait time.

From the moment that I walked into the LASIK Vision Institute (LVI) for my consultation, there was no doubt in my mind that I had found the perfect place to have my vision correction surgery. This was my second Lasik surgery consultation in as many weeks and the difference between the two companies was like night and day. I am not saying that there was anything wrong with where I went for my first consultation. Its just that the atmosphere from beginning to end was very perfunctory and aloof. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very pleasant and no one was rude. I just didn't get that 'warm, fuzzy' feeling that lets me know I'm making the right choice. However, when I walked through the doors of LVI, I felt like I was walking into the house of a family member. There was a lobby that was set up more like a living room, including a TV playing Friends reruns. My husband and I were offered our choice of drinks, which is pretty standard except for the hot chocolate which was a surprise. There was even a container of mini chocolate candy bars available. As we waited in a similar type of back area during a break from the series of required tests that are apparently fairly standard amongst vision correction surgery companies, we were treated with yet another example of the difference between the two companies. Not only were we seated in very comfortable chairs, but we were also again in front of a large television with a variety of viewing options (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) as well as an assortment of DVDs available. Before my consultation was even completed, everyone on the staff that I worked with remembered both my and my husband's first name. When we mentioned that my husband had vision correction surgery years prior, but he couldn't remember exactly when or where. All that he knew was that he had financed his surgery through the same company that I was seeking financing through. After hearing this, Kim, an LVI staff member, began researching various records. Kim went so far as to search through the financing company records and was able to give us the exact date and location of my husbands surgery! This history also helped with securing the new financing. The first company we went to had been told the same thing but did not find any previous or closed account with the finance company online and didn't pursue things any further. Once Kim found the records, she was able to see that my husband had his vision correction surgery in 2013 through LVI so she offered us a referral bonus!!! Even without the extra effort that Kim put into finding the information on my husband's vision correction surgery, her help with applying for the financing or her offering the referral bonus, the LASIK Vision Institute had my business from the moment I walked through the door and my opinion hasn't changed since.

And afterwards they were very good at making sure that the procedure went well. The eye surgery for me was good, it went as they explained. The procedure was very fast. It was about 10-15 minutes. The same day I was able to see but it was painful but only after the medication wore off. I would do the procedure again because I can see without glasses or contacts. Worth it.

When I first started looking around and getting quotes I asked friends and co-workers who they used and the one most commonly named was LVI. I had my free consultation and had many of my questions answered. I held off on going through right away because I wanted to pay upfront and not have to do a payment plan. Once I was ready they did a recheck and I decided what I wanted. Once I decided they didn't pressure me to change them or upgrade this or that. I had all my questions answered even up to the signing of the papers as I asked more and more questions. I was very VERY nervous and spent the whole night before having nightmares about going blind. I didn't opt for the sedatives because I don't like the way I feel on meds so I only took a Benadryl after I signed papers. Then I met Dr. Clark for the first time. I will say this. All the staff were great. But I LOVED Dr. Clark. He was real. It wasn't all...."you will love it, it will be great, no worries" which is good but it was nice to have Dr. Clark tell me "look no one talks about what you experience during the procedure. You will feel pressure and pain in the form of pressure. But this will be quick and end." His comparison of it being like childbirth where it's not enjoyable (but not near as painful) but we still do it again is accurate. I have to admit when it first started I mentally kicked myself for not taking that Valium. But Dr. Clark talked to me the whole time and was very reassuring. It was over quickly and it was everything he had described. If I ever do need it again I feel confident I can go in again with just a Benadryl and be fine. So far one day post op my vision is over perfect and I feel great! Definitely recommend the Lasik Vision Institute and Dr. Clark. I'm loving my vision so far and when it comes to contoura, it's only been one day but I can tell a HUGE difference and am super happy.

Comming from an industry where client service is crucial, i applaud this very location! I was skeptical, and had been turned away by other clinics in the past due to my terrible vision. I was not a candidate at the time. Right on the border, this very office made it work for me. The entire staff never missed a beat and for having anxiety they put my mind at ease. I was clearly informed, educated, and i was impressed on how they truly follow as to why this procedure was invented in the first place. To change lives! I had a PRK done along with Contoura. The staff stayed by my side every step of the way and was even supportive during the fininacial aspect of it. The Surgeon thoroughly answered every question and concern that i had. As odd as it may sound, i was mostly impressed with the procedure itself. It never felt like surgery because of how fast it was and i was so comforted to the point where it felt like a celebration not surgery! I felt reborn with the result of a true miracle! Lasik Vision Institute(LVI)-Tempe has been phenomenal! I had PRK March 31, 2019 and it has truly been a life changing experience for me. The first few days my eyes were slightly uncomfortable. I had my surgery a couple of months ago and I'm really pleased with the results I'm currently seeing 20/15 (better than 20/20). This Institute does very well with follow ups and the procedure itself was very easy. The staff is very kind and considerate. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has been thinking about having Lasik surgery.
