Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful. Dr Eason is the best. He explained everything he was doing and told me what was going on every step of the way. Best eye doctor I have been to. I have diabetes so I go every year and it has been the same great treatment every time.

As a new patient, I had a chalazion removed on my first appointment. After insisting on doing the procedure same day, I squirmed in my chair and made the procedure much more difficult than it needed to be. Dr. Scanameo was very patient and made great conversation. Thoroughly impressed.

After completing my appointments with the specialist, I returned to Dr. Eason's office for a follow-up appointment and a new prescription for new lenses, which I am very happy with. I will see Dr. Eason again in one year for my annual checkup. I highly recommend Dr. Eason and the entire staff at Desert Vista.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Eason for a few years now. He’s been great. He takes the time really listen and explain, and seems to genuinely care. He never rushes you out of there. He’s offered a lot of valuable suggestions in how best to manage my dry eye symptoms. As someone who just turned 50 and is dealing with the normal vision related aging process, as well as some eye related medical issues, I feel very grateful to have my eye and vision care provided by him. The staff is always friendly and quick to help. I also appreciate the reminders for my annual appointments. Can’t recommend the Desert Vista Eye team any higher!!

Very little time spent with MD, but that is typical now. Warning: make sure they accept your insurance before you go. I waited weeks to get an appointment, and then had a very large fee. I did not realize that my MD had referred me to someone outside my Medicare plan!

I have been coming to Desert Vista Eye Specialists since 2020 upon recommendation from Dr. Robin Lewis, who was my optometrist. I came to this office to be seen by Dr. Lawrence Kahn and he ended up doing emergency surgery on my right eye, due to Angular Glaucoma Closure and pink eye-related symptoms. Since then, I have had surgery on the left eye as a precautionary measure for Angular Glaucoma Closure, and another one done on the right eye when my eye pressure skyrocketed. Since the last surgery, Dr. Kahn has retired and I am now under the care of his his office partner, Dr. Stuart Eason, Upon meeting Dr. Eason, I was very impressed with his demeanor and caring for his patients and also his thorough way of explaining things. Like Dr. Kahn before him, Dr. Eason is also easygoing, friendly, very helpful, and very kind. I HIGHLY recommend him for any eye services or surgeries. Also, the office staff at Desert Vista Eye Specialists is so caring and easy to work with when it comes to payments, appointment setting, etc. They treat the patients like family and are there for them in time of need.

This is a thank you story for Desert Vista Eye Specialists and Dr. Eason. An initial visit was to remove a very tiny road particle from the left eye years ago. There were subsequent eye exams and lens changes over several years. There is an optical center at a large membership only retail store that also provides eye examinations. This appeared to be a one stop answer to both exams and glasses so it was used for a few years. However, on the last examination no amount of lens flipping corrected the vision in the left eye. The response was that it was caused by cataracts and that it would require eye surgery. At 70 the thought was that one of the problems of old age had arrived. Having had previous experience with Dr. Eason I had him perform an examination with the thought that it would lead to cataract surgery and a lens implant. His evaluation changed the whole perspective: • Yes, I had cataracts but they had not grown worse in 6 years • I was not a candidate for cataract surgery • A glasses prescription change would solve the problem And it did. New glasses solved the problem. The take away from this is that Desert Vista Eye Specialists have in depth and expanded treatment for many eye conditions. Also, if there are any issues their progress can be monitored over time.

Dr. Kahn has been my husbands and my eye specialist for over 5 years and he has performed cataract surgery on both of us on both eyes. I had the multi focal lens replacement in 2017. I go back for yearly visits, and as a result of the surgery my vision is 20/20, and I am 78 years old and never use eye glasses any more. The Doctor and his staff are professional, caring and informative. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Kahn, he is caring and Remembers small details about you personally. All the staff is following the Covid19 Protocol .
