They were amazing!! Got us in same day for an urgent visit for our 3 year old daughter who has debris stuck in her eye. They were so patient and put her completely at ease. We will never go anywhere else for our kids eye care needs!

This place is amazing and awesome for kiddos with sensory sensitivities. We had an amazing Opthamologist and nurse. Dr Ferreira was able to measure my daughter s eye drifting that few pediatric opthamologist s have the skills to do to compare to upcoming Opthamology appointments.

This was our first experience here. The wait time was super quick. Everyone is so friendly, kind, and took their time with the exam, no rushing, and explained everything. Very thorough and patient. Dr. Burke made my son feel at ease, he was very thorough in his exam and assessment, and explained everything completely. He was not rushed as it feels like physicians often are. AMAZING!! My daughter is 9 months and honestly I didn't think much was going to get accomplished because she is so small but the Doctors did everything with ease. They even have separate rooms for the parents and kiddos after they get eye drops to dilate their pupils. The atmosphere was so calming you forget your in a Dr. Office. This was my 6-year-old's first eye appointment, and overall it went well and the provider was great. We got there just before 2 pm and left at nearly 3:30. I came prepared for a wait with an ipad and my laptop, but learned they don't offer WiFi. I would strongly recommend to the practice to offer it, especially with all the waiting. They do have a screen with a children's movie playing. We were called back soon after arriving and the assistant performed basic depth perception checks, color checks, alignment measurements and dilated his eyes. Unfortunately, we had to get help to hold him down for the eye drops. He said they stung. They moved us to a dark room to let his eyes finish dilating. The eye doctor was very friendly and positive. She turned on a movie so he could focus on it while she checked the inside of his eye. It was a smooth process. The location is just north of downtown Phoenix at McDowell and 10th Street.

I got there 15 minutes later than my appointment time. After checking in I found out that my son’s appointment is the next day and I came there on a wrong day. However, after explaining to the front desk that I live very far away and I don’t take highways , she was very helpful and nice. They took my son in and the doctor and assistants did so well. I've been taking my daughter to this eye dr for 2 yrs now and they are great and dedicated to my daughters eye health. Would recommend them to anyone with kiddos that need just alittle extra attention to their eyesight. They are even rocking during the pandemic. The seats are grouped apart and the dr was very conscious of using hand sanitizer anytime she had to get close to my daughters face. Also during the dilation process instead of sending us back out in the waiting room they had a number of private rooms we waited in to provide a safe place for the drops to work. Really appreciated all the extra effort they used to keep us safe.

I can't say enough about ABC Children's Eye Specialists. From the minute we walked in for our exam, to when we left the hospital after surgery, everyone was truly amazing. The front desk ladies were quick and answered all of our questions. We were seen on time for our appointment and everything went smoothly and in a timely manner. The assistants were professional and very kind to my daughter when completing all of the little tests before the doctor arrived, and the doctors were great! Dr. Cassidy explained the procedure so we could understand and also answered any questions we had. He even gave us his cell phone number so we could ask questions post surgery if we needed to because he wanted to be at ease as she recovered. I trusted ABC Children's Eye Specialists with my daughter and I feel blessed that they were there to get us through this. Thank you!

Dr Cassidy is a wonderful ophthalmologist. We have been under his care for 9 years and he is one of the few specialists for children, who really is compassionate about what he does. He is great with children and explains his exam findings well to the parents. We had Shawn today as an assistant for both of our kids. He did an amazing job in running all the tests that have to be done before the ophthalmologist checks the eyes. Shawn was patient and very thoughtful in keeping the tests fun, so that the kids could stay on task. He explained all his tests and what he would do, as well as what he expected of what the kids needed to do to be successful. I have 2 children, both are on the spectrum for autism and explaining the steps of an exam in advance is very helpful. The exam today was an overall pleasant experience! I give 4 stars, because it takes more than 2 hours for the yearly exam for 2 children. On the other hand, this shows you that they take their time with the children, without rushing them or being impatient and Dr Cassidy answers all your questions.

I would recommend ABC Childrens Eye Specialist. Dr. Cassidy is a great doctor. I also liked Dr Ghadeer Makoshi. She was great too and very personable. My child has been coming to this office since 3 or 4 years old. My child has never complaint about his prescription after an appointment. Customer Service has gotten better over the years, and the néw location is a major upgrade from before. Today, instead of waiting in the lobby as we waiting for my sons eyes to dilate we were given the option to wait in the lobby or sit in a room and wait by ourselves. This was a great option to make us feel more comfortable during these unprecedented times. Dr. Cassidy did well and has always done a great job to explain what he is doing and the health of my child eyes. It was a great visit. Great Doctors. Environment is clean. And they are following COVID guidelines to keep us safe. Thank you.

Dr. Cassidy is excellent. He's performed two eye surgeries on two of my kids, and everything went wonderfully. He is professional and personable and comes across as kind and caring. I highly recommend him to everyone! Be prepared for an office that isn't that pretty or new. And the front office staff aren't very friendly or helpful. I found when I had issues with scheduling, they weren't flexible at all, so I just emailed Dr. Cassidy directly, and he had the staff call me back and make the arrangements like I wanted. So if you can look past an unattractive office space and less than friendly front desk staff, you will be glad you saw Dr. Cassidy. If I was rating just my experience with him, which is really what matters most, I would have given this rating an excellent.

My daughter was 7 when she started treatment for strabismus with Dr. Underdahl. Over the course of several years, we made numerous 2-hour drives (one way) to his office. I was so impressed with his thoroughness, his gentle mannerisms with young children, and ultimately with the success of his treatment plan. We eventually moved on to doctors nearer to home, but they never spent as much time with her, particularly when testing her eyes for new prescriptions. As a result, her eyeglass and contact prescriptions morphed into something poorly suited for her condition. Flash forward 10 years - (she's now 17) - her vision had declined, and she'd been having frequent headaches. I took her back to Dr. Underdahl today for a total reset. I was happy to see that he still practices with the same high standards. He took the time to examine her carefully and to find the prescription that was just right for her. There is honestly no one else I trust my daughter's eyes with. I give him 10 stars!

Some appointments start on time and others run an hour late. There’s no rhyme or reason. I can’t stand the smell of diapers or the screaming children. While I understand ABC cannot control the parents or screaming children, I think it’s time for them to start saying something... or posting a sign for parents to see.
