I went in on Monday and had my procedure on Friday. I expressed that I was super anxious & they prescribed me medicine prior to my procedure which really helped. I was in and out in less than an hour on Friday. I was good to go by Saturday morning for an engagement party! I cannot recommend the procedure enough and all of the staff was very kind and helpful.

Got my surgery done in January of this year. Wanted to wait before writing a review. Best decision ever!!! The procedure was quick and painless. There was some discomfort of pressure feeling but nothing unbearable. Everyone made me feel super comfortable. The whole process took about 5 minutes. Only thing I would say is your eyes get sensitive to light, which is normal. Go for it you will not regret it! Thank you for 20/20 vision.

Okay, so it has been 6 months since I had Lasik and here is my review. I would not recommend anyone get Lasik unless the doctors have promised you perfect vision. I am in the need of glasses and contacts again anfter having Lasik and this is super frustrating since not wanting to wear contacts was my whole reason of getting Lasik. On top of that huge problem, I have had a lot of symptoms after having Lasik such as blurred vision, eye pain, eye floaters, and super dry eyes (feels like a pointy eyelash is poking my eyes). The doctors and everyone from the office is very professional and listen to your concerns so this review is not about them. I just thought it would be helpful for people to know that there is a potential that you will suffer with these symptoms and that you will need glasses again. I wish I never had Lasik but I can’t go back in time. I just wanted to provide some feedback for people who are thinking of getting it because it is not a cheap procedure and we are all working hard to make our money these days.

From start to finish they made the process feel safe. Everyone made it their priority to make sure I was well informed and comfortable from the initial consult to the procedure. I really couldn't believe how quickly I was able to schedule the procedure after the consultation I was deemed a candidate for LASIK. The exam was thorough prior to the procedure. All machines were thoroughly disinfected/clean and overall the office feels well kept and clean. The staff is efficient and well prepared to answer questions without making you feel rushed. To receive a call the day before the procedure from the Doctor was a pleasant surprise that set my mind at ease. On the day of the procedure, they provided everything I needed for a successful experience including easy to understand post op instructions along with all drops. This is perfect customer service not having to make a separate trip to the pharmacy. Everything was provided and they made sure to walk through the instructions and each of the drops.

My Experience at the Lasik vision institute was an all around such a wonderful experience… The staff was very friendly and welcoming which was a plus!! The procedure took maybe about 15 minutes. During the procedure the doctor made me feel so comfortable as I was beyond nervous. He talked me through the whole procedure and before I knew it the procedure was finished!! I felt so great going there the next day for my follow up to tell them I can finally see after 20 years of wearing glasses and contacts.. I would definitely recommend this procedure for anyone who qualifies!! It is seriously life changing..

I gave myself the gift of 20/20 vision for my birthday this year and it's blowing my mind. I was a -7.50 prescription for contacts and glasses pre-LASIK, which I can't find a conversion for but it's worse than 20/500: aka, I was legally blind without glasses or contacts. Now, after a 10-minute painless procedure and a few days of avoiding electronics, actually resting, and taking a TON of eyedrops (can I buy stock in Blink?), I have *better* than perfect vision. I'm so impressed. This is insane. I can't believe people are just born this way. Shout out to the LASIK Vision Institute team in Bala Cynwyd -- especially the ladies who answered my five billion questions, Dr. Loeser who did my pre-op and post-op exams, and Dr. Procope who actually did the surgery and was the first person to wish me a happy birthday this year. If you're considering LASIK, definitely schedule a consult here! They answer all of your questions and the procedure itself is not nearly as awkward as everyone says it is. You can literally walk yourself out of the room and call your own cab home after. You won't regret it.

From the very first time calling for a consultation to the follow up appointment post-op, my experience was fantastic. Everyone is very informative, friendly, and attentive. Lasik has been on my agenda for several years and after losing my glasses 3 weeks ago in the ocean, I bit the bullet. Now with someone with 20/20 vision, I don’t regret a thing. The procedure itself was very quick and smooth. Dr. Procope did a phenomenal job at talking with me and calming my nerves throughout the procedure. The stress balls really helped as well! Immediately following the procedure, I could see! It was incredible and such a relief after a 10 minute process. I recommend closing your eyes from getting in the car until after your 3-6 hour nap. The follow up itself was very quick and my eyes were checked for proper healing, everything was perfect! Thank you to everyone at the office for changing my life! I will never forget it. :)

Oh My God! This place was amazing. So I've been on the fence for over 3 years. And watched the person who referred me to see if they lost their vision or had any side effects. None! So then I can and got my procedure done. Not only was the process SUPER fast! ( 10 minutes) and it didn't hurt one bit! I really loved how the doctors talked to me the whole procedure and told me what they were about to do and what to expect which removed any fear or doubt. It really put me at ease and I loved it. Let me not forget how friendly the staff and doctors were!! It really set a new standard for what I expect in the medical world. I guess when you pay for services you get treated much better, I felt like royalty from the moment I walked in as compared to a ER in a hospital smh. But overall I am beyond satisfied! Phenomenal experience at LVI last week. Went in for an 8am procedure Thursday morning and was home by 9:30. Both doctors and the staff were all tremendous in making it as seamless a process and procedure as possible. Vision was immediately corrected and confirmed at 20/15 in my day-after appointment. Aside from drops there is no recovery process at all and I didn’t feel any pain during or after the surgery. 10/10 would recommend!

TL;DR: If you are thinking about doing it, do it! I went in for a free consultation back in December of 2021. As a glasses-wearer for nearly 30 years, I was apprehensive and skeptical. I did not feel pressured or like the staff members examining my eyes had hidden motives or agendas. I was not bound to any commitment or price quote stipulations. They assured me that if I chose to schedule the appointment at any time, they could correct my vision to the point where I would no longer need glasses or contacts. After a bit of research, I eventually scheduled the appointment. When you get to the office on your procedure day, expect to wait. I waited for approximately two hours, which is understandable. It is a popular procedure with a giant client base. I would much rather wait than receive rushed treatment. They give you a post-op supply bag that includes: medicated and soothing eye drops, sunglasses, and a face shield for sleeping. They also provided oral supplements to promote eye strength. They also give you clear and easy-to-follow instructions for what to do after your procedure. The procedure was intense but also very brief. After getting numbing drops placed in each eye, it lasted approximately seven minutes. It utilizes two lasers - one to make an incision and the other to perform the actual corrective surgery. Your surgeon performs a few steps in-between by hand (folding over the incisions, I think?). I felt immense pressure and experienced momentary blindness. But, this is normal. By the end, my vision was very hazy, as if I had been swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool. However, I could see! Upon getting home, you must keep your eyes closed for at least 3 hours. During this time, I did experience some slight stinging pain, but nothing overwhelming or unbearable. Later that evening, my vision was still blurry, and I had some sensitivity to light, but the cloudiness had gone away. After 12-14 hours, a lot of the blurriness had dissipated. Throughout that next day, it got even better. I am now almost 48 hours post-op and just drove myself to my follow-up appointment. I am 98% there, with a bit of residual dryness and blurriness, especially in the morning. The recovery time is way less annoying than I had anticipated.

A friend of mine recently recommended this place and I ended up getting Lasik here a month later. Had a very good experience. Everyone was nice, professional and helpful. First you go in for a consultation and you can get surgery the following day like I did. The surgery is quick and easy. You’ll need a ride home the day of surgery from someone you know, and they give you eye drops and vitamins to take daily. No more glasses or contact, feels great!

They make everything really easy for you all the way down to financing. Best decision I've made. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I got it dont last Thursday. My only advice is keep your eyes closed during the ride home and sleep as much as u can when u get home. I slept quite a bit...more than the recommended time but it was worth it. When I woke up I could see clearly and it was as if I had no work done on my eyes. I felt nothing. And the process was so quick. It was less than 2 minutes per eye. The whole team there is just so friendly and informative...makes the whole process a breeze.

It’s almost been a week since I had the pleasure of getting my vision fixed by The LASIK Vision Institute. First I liked to say all of the staff is absolutely amazing, they’re all so friendly & they make you feel extremely comfortable. I truly appreciate Brittany who went over the checkout process with me. The only one complaint was the day of my surgery I was there for about 4 hours waiting when the whole surgery is only about 10-15 minutes long. Went in for my consultation in early May. It was a very thorough exam, and I was deemed a good candidate for lasik in both eyes. I scheduled my surgery for a few weeks out, although they had earlier availability. On the day of surgery, I was nervous, but everyone was understanding and walked me through everything. Dr. Lozer has great “bedside manner.” There is a lot of waiting on the day of the surgery, but the procedure itself was quick and painless. My particular surgery was 5 seconds per eye. I needed about 3 days to feel better. Went in for my follow up yesterday, 20/20 in both eyes and no additional follow ups needed! HIGHLY recommend.

I can not say enough good things about the LASIK Vision Institute. From the moment I first called to set up my consultation through my follow-up appointment after my surgery - the entire process was seamless and smooth. I did my research before deciding on a location to have my Lasik surgery performed and other places I reached out to seemed too busy and uninterested in having me as a patient. The LASIK Vision Institute was the complete opposite. Sabria who works at the front desk is an actual ANGEL. She talked me through not only the consult but consoled me the day of my surgery when I was very nervous. As she insisted, the nerves were normal but SILLY after how easy the surgery and recovery were. Dr. Loeser was the doctor who I met with during my consultation and follow-up appointment. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He even called me on Saturday (on his day off) after my surgery to help with the post-op instructions. Dr. Procope was the surgeon who actually performed my surgery and I cannot say enough nice things about him as well. He did an incredible job and I am ECSTATIC with my results of 20/20 vision. Be prepared to not be able to open your eyes after getting in the car after the surgery and have some discomfort for about 3-4 hours while your eyes heal. When I was able to open my eyes approximately 4 hours after the surgery, they were very sensitive to light but my vision was PERFECT. It was miraculous. I would recommend this procedure to anyone who is considering it. Treat yourself to PERFECT VISION!!! This has already changed my life and I cannot thank the LASIK Vision Institute enough for all they have done.

After my virtual consultation, I went in for an in-person consultation. I spoke with Brittany and the doctor about the process and they made me feel informed, excited and confident in choosing them to do my surgery - so much so that I chose to do same-day surgery! My experience with The LASIK Vision Institute was awesome from the beginning to the end. The receptionist that I met with was extremely friendly and calmed all the anxiety I was feeling about the procedure. Had a great experience! Everyone was great in there very friendly. At first I was worried when I scheduled my visit worrying about cost and if it was going to work out . As for my vision it’s way better than it used to be. It’s a little blurry after the procedure but normal since they are adjusting. The doctor explain how it would be before and after. They didn’t lie or hide things on how it would work out. Jess was really nice to explain to me about how much it would cost and what it would cover. Thank you Jess! Vanessa was great as well very friendly. She schedule me quick to get procedure done. Guadalupe was very friendly as well. This is a great place to go for your eyes. Today is October 19th 2019, Yesterday I had an appointment to visit the LASIK Vision Institute. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment time the staff immediately greeted me. After they did the initial consultation I was informed they may be able to perform the procedure that very same day. After discussions of payment and financing I was all in. The pricing is affordable and reasonable and they have amazing financing too! The procedure was performed 4 hours after my consultation giving time for my dilated pupils to return to normal. The procedure started around 4:15pm and by 4:30pm I was done! The procedure was fast, painless and relaxing. The doctor was very professional and just like the staff he was very direct and explained everything 100%. They made sure I had sample eye drops with a prescription for more eye drops before I left the office. This was as amazing experience for me. After I got home I had some tearing and slight discomfort and around 9pm I fell asleep. I woke up for work at 6:00am and my eyes felt much better. My eyes took some time to adjust but after an hour, It felt like I never had any procedure done to my eyes they felt normal but the results are amazing! It's 10:01am the very next day after this procedure and I feel amazing and my vision is incredible and from everything I've read it only gets better. I highly recommend LASIK Vision Institute! This has been an amazing experience and I'm not even done I still have a follow up appointment after work today at 6:00pm and it's a Saturday! now that's some amazing commitment from a company. I got my consultation done on a Thursday and the next day I was in for the surgery. I was extremely nervous but the day of my consultation, they described everything to you that they will do, and how the process works. They are very personable. They answer any questions you may have and they always look happy to help. The next day for my surgery, I was extremely nervous but once I was in the room Dr.Barry, talked me through the whole process, told me exactly what he was doing. The whole process was short and sweet. For someone like me who was extremely nervous, by the middle of the procedure, all my nerves went away. It’s painless and quick. The couple hours after are a little hard but after you go home, and take a nap, I felt great. I could see and even drove to my POST OP appointment the next day. If you’re hesitant on getting LASIK, don’t be! It’s quick and easy. I’m also financing my LASIK, and my monthly payments fit my budget. I’m glad I choose here to get this done!!

Firstly, regarding the operation itself, it may be uncomfortable for you. There were moments where I felt very overwhelmed, and the 6 hours following it were tough for me to manage. Eye soreness and an intense burning sensation are guaranteed, but it does eventually go away as the eyes heal up. However it was all worth it!!! Everything else was excellent! The service, the comprehensiveness of the exams/eye tests leading up to the surgery, and overall demeanor of the staff to prepare you for the operation were high class. The surgeon and assistants in the room during the operation also did a phenomenal job explaining what was happening while answering your questions/calming your nerves (since you're awake). Initial follow-up was a breeze and I am going in for my second follow-up tomorrow, which I imagine to go just as smoothly. Any discomfort or nervousness I felt during or after surgery are a distant memory, now that I have perfect vision. I've worn contacts and glasses for 15 years, and now I don't have to again for decades more to come. What a feeling! If it's something you've thought of getting done more than twice, just go for it. And go here to get it done, too. :)

I got LASIK done yesterday and it was a great decision. The staff is EXTREMELY nice, knowledgeable and comforting. I was nervous before the surgery and they were able to answer all questions and put my mind at ease. Even though there were a lot of people in the waiting room, they still make every individual feel like the only patient. There was a bit of a wait to get the surgery itself done but that's expected. The surgery itself was a bit odd. They numb your eyes so you don't feel anything, you can smell the laser but not feel it. You stare at a green light with a black background, the whole experience is otherworldly. I would caution claustrophobic people to perhaps ask about the machine because it is extremely close to your face. But it is definitely worth it, it's very nice to be able to wake up and actually see my surroundings.

It’s incredible to see the world through my own eyes. Although I have wanted to get lasik surgery for a while, I’ve always felt queasy about anything coming near my eyes. Even when I made the decision to come in for a consult, I still felt nervous. The office is really busy which can be both a positive and a minimal frustration. For my consultation they were kind and prompt and let me know all the things they were doing. On the day of my procedure I did wait in the waiting room for 1.5 hours before being addressed so while a little frustrating they do say to plan for 2-4 hours so really it wasn't that bad. The procedure itself was a breeze. Whatever you think it is like is 10 times worse than it actually is. It's weird, but you don't really feel a thing. Dr. Shah talked me through everything and helped me with my anxiety about the procedure. The nurses in the room had a great time and we chatted through the less than 5 minute procedure. The next day for my follow up I did wait an hour to be seen which was a little irritating, but not so bad if you know it's going to happen. Basically in 16 hours my vision went from 20/2400 to 20/30 and will get better and better every day. First off let me say that I absolutely hate people getting close to my eyes! I also have an astigmatism and glaucoma. So the surgery wasn't something I rushed into. I had been contemplating LASIK for years and even got a consultation with a competitor in NJ. The staff is awesome! They answered every question I had. I had my consultation on Friday and my surgery the next Friday. The Dr walked talked me through the procedure. It took about 15-20 minutes. On my way to my follow up appointment the next day I was in awe of the architecture that I see on the buildings that I couldn't before with my glasses. I wish I would have done it years ago!

From the consultation to my 4 week post op appointment, the staff had made me feel so comfortable with every step that was taken. Being in the optical profession for over 12 years I had a good understanding of the procedure and what deemed you a candidate. At the conclusion of my consultation I was deemed a good candidate with some of my optical values on the borderline. When I say some of my optical values on the borderline I’m referring to the thickness of my cornea‘s. During multiple routine check ups I had been told that my corneas are a little thin but nothing to be concerned about. With this being said I scheduled my surgery for the following Friday. Upon checking in I had a reevaluation and then another conversation about my corneas. It turns out that my left eye was a tad bit too thin for traditional lasik which could cause issues further down the line. We made the decision on the recommendation of the surgeon Dr. Chris Williams that we would do PRK surgery on my left eye. This procedure has a little bit longer healing time but the results are the exact same as lasik. The surgery went smooth! Quick as well! Right after the surgery my boyfriend drove me home and I took Advil p.m. so that I can give my eyes rest. The whole weekend I pretty much slept to give my eyes a chance to heal, awakening to put in my prescribed eyedrops or to take my fish oil pills. I went to my first post-op appointment the following Monday and was seeing 20/20 out of my right eye and 20/30 out of my left. I am now four weeks postop and my vision is 20/20 in both eyes. I appreciate all of the staff from the front desk, to the examining doctor that did all of my pre and post op appointments, to the surgical staff you all made me feel comfortable and as if I was “seeing” my family with every visit. First off shout out to the team at the front desk Bria & I forgot the other one but it was nice meeting y’all & of course shoutout Dr. Low my guy cool as ever !! & thanks to the doctors who worked on me as well I can’t remember everyone’s name at the moment ! Now about my lasik experience, after becoming a candidate I came in the next day and got the surgery it was pain free honestly , the pressure part before the laser had a little discomfort but it was only for 10 seconds each eye and the doctors were helping by counting down and just reminding you to stay focused. I didn’t even feel anything to be honest it was super pain free a small child that listens can go through this process. IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETTING OFF THE CHAIR I CAN SEE LIKE IF IF I HAD GLASSES ON BUT THE GLASSES HAD A LITTLE STEAM FOG ONTHEM; that’s the best I can explain it … I got into the car went home and went to sleep for 7 hours I didn’t put anything in my eyes just went to sleep. When I woke up and took off the sleep goggles I can see CRYSTAL CLEAR !! This is only 7 hours after surgery !! No pain , no dryness , no rough feeling in the eye , everything was smooth and I can see better than I did with glasses or contacts & I swear on everything. I love it was one of the happiest moments of my life !! Everyone from start to finish made this process so stress free and amazing !! I got love for y’all over at lasik institute !! Just know thank you is a understatement , I’m thankful everyday ! I can see !!!!

I was so nervous to do this but I had really bad eyesight, been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old (I'm 21 now) and was extremely nearsighted; one of my eyes was 7.5 the other 6.5. but I finally did the procedure and I still can't believe the results. The first day mandatory follow-up they told me I have 20/15 vision!!!! Today was my 1 month follow-up and they said I have 20/10 vision now!!! JUST... Amazing. Its like a dream.,seriously. I can't even remember the last time I got to see well without glasses let alone 20/10 VISION!! It was incredibly worth it. And also the surgery was super fast, although uncomfortable, (mostly just pressure on your eyes) it was done in like 5 minutes (for me) or 10 minutes max. The most discomfort is actually after the surgery for 5-6 hours your eyes will hurt(and you have to keep them shut) but that's pretty much about it. No more pain. 😊😊😊 its been 1 month now since I had Lasik and it just keeps getting better. THANK YOU to everyone participated in this and to the staff and the doctor thanks for everything!!!!! LVI works miracles! The evaluation process was stellar and so informative. The office staff are caring and helpful. The surgery went great and after 28 years in contacts and 37 years in glasses, I finally don’t need corrective lenses. I got lasik eye surgery this past friday 7/30 and my vision is so amazing. I’ve had bad eye sight my whole life and still can’t believe that I can see so well without contacts or glasses. I had very minimal pain, just mild burning that went away after i woke up from my four hour nap, no dry eyes, no halos, or any other side effects that i’ve heard of. After the procedure I went home and went to sleep, by time I woke up I could see 100% clearly. I can see crystal clear from miles away. I went to my followup appointment today and the doctor said that I now have 20/15 vision which is even better than 20/20! I am so thankful and happy.

Would recommend anyone thinking about getting lasik to go here. The staff and doctors are nice. They treat their patients like people and they do not take advantage of you financially. Over a year after my surgery, they still followed up with me due to my issues. They do get busy at times and you may have to wait. Honestly, this is a good sign. Best decision I ever made for my eyes!!! I have worn glasses since I was 5 thanks to astigmatism. Now I can finally say Goodbye contacts and glasses!! I’m already 20/20 less than 24 hrs after surgery. I am so happy that I made the decision to get this procedure done with this team. The staff is great. They made me feel comfortable, gave great care, and kept my anxiety at bay when I was worried about pain. And let’s talk about pain... if you are worried about pain and completing this process, don’t be!! It was literally painless, just a little pressure for one minute then it’s fine. The rest of the surgery I just stared at a green light with no pain. I have honestly dealt with worse pain when healing for scratching myself while taking out contacts. After surgery, for me the first couple of hours just reminded me of having irritating seasonal allergies where my eyes were itching and tearing. Nothing I haven’t experienced before. This was soooo worth it and if I had to do it again I would definitely choose the LASIK vision institute.

The staff is very friendly and receptive. They answered all my questions and walked me through the procedure. The only negative thing I can say is that I was told I would be able to get a sedative over the phone. However, when I came in for my surgery, I was told that’s not the case. The first laser has a TON of pressure and I think the sedative would have made a big difference in my level of comfort. The lasik procedure itself was quick. The surgeon and his staff were great, very patient and explained each step. One day post-op and I can see 🙌🏾 One eye is still a little blurry but that should resolve with time. Overall, good experience, great people. Just brace yourself for that first laser!

Just got LASIK done here. It was a great experience from start to finish, because the staff here was amazing. I had the Contoura Lasik Surgery done on Thursday, June 25th. I was nervous and very anxious about anything touching my eyes while being being awake. The staff and Dr. Shah reassured me that everything would be okay, I would feel nothing on my eyes during the procedure and only feel slight pressure. They were so right and I am extremely happy that I did it!! I had my consultation on Wednesday, June 24th, surgery on Thursday, June 25th, and my 1st Pre-Op follow up on Friday, June 26th. I have been wearing eyeglasses for 27 years. I am leaving my follow up appointment and the Doctor just confirmed that I am seeing 20/25!!! I am so happy and glad I made this decision!!!

On my actual procedure and experience I gave 5 stars because the staff and doctors were caring, patient and informative. I had PRK/LASIK surgery, it went well overall. It took abt 15 mins total which consisted of preping my eye and the laser was only abt 6 secs per eye. The prep is uncomfortable because your eye has to be held still by a device but nothing horrible and it didn't take that long before you're up and out. I could see right away but once the numbing drops wore off my pain was bad for three days! I took alot of Tylenol and slept…by the fourth day I felt better and could keep my eyes open. Update… This is my 6th day with contacts/bandages off my eyes and I'm already seeing 20/25. My vision is a little foggy but that's to be expected with PRK. My eyes are healing well so after my 5 day pre-op visit, I do not have to go back to LVI unless I have pain or something is wrong but if you following the Dr's directions with your eye drops, you should be released from having to go back and forth for check ups. FYI… No complaints but I do recommend to have pain killers and sleep your first three days because it will be very painful****** They have affordable financing options and I saved $1000 with them by having VSP insurance.

Was treated to deal with near vision issues with my eyeglasses. Underwent monovision to fix distance vision in my left eye while leaving my right alone to see close. Overall very satisfied. I was not left waiting long during my appointments. People there were very nice. Cost was about $1K but that included all the upgrades. Procedure was painless. After being told by my eye doctor for years that I couldn’t get Lasik, I was down to my last pair of contacts that I was wearing for about 6 months. I took the free Lasik exam and was informed that I would’ve saved over $800 had I gotten the procedure 6 years ago as I had wanted. I’m glad my eye doctor was so helpful, won’t be needing him anymore! Naturally had a little anxiety, but the procedure was absolutely painless. There was a little discomfort about an hour after the procedure that felt like a scratch on my eye, but I followed their suggestion of taking a nap. I woke up 4 hours later and could read my clock. Just had my LASIK at the Bala Cynwyd location yesterday and loved it. The consult, pre-op, procedure, and post-op was all very professional. Post-care was thoroughly explained. All of the staff was super friendly, funny, and welcoming. The surgeon was also very thorough in explaining what to expect and even had some music in the background as he was operating with his team. It helped take the edge off of the anxiety. The location is very clean and there’s snacks and coffee if you want it. I highly recommend them if you are considering LASIK.

LASIK Vision Institute has met my expectations perfectly. I had previously shopped around and had evaluations from salespeople and non-clinicians who weren’t necessarily pressuring, but I could feel the ‘sales’ and ‘urgency’ in their offers to improve my vision. LVI was not like that at all. Staff and clinicians were matter of fact, professional and knowledgeable. No pressure. The service that had been provided thus far (4 months post-op), has been good. Doctors are professional and experienced. They appeared to have high standards regarding candidacy for the different procedures and never did I feel that I was being up-sold at any time by staff. I would fully recommend LVI for anyone who might qualify for the procedure. It’s really truly great to see OUTSIDE without contact lenses. Everything in the world is bigger, brighter, and better!

LVI City ave location is the best. Initial appointment was very easy and fairly quick. Surgery day was even quicker the actual surgery took like 10-15 minutes of and that’s from me lying on the bed to me take a pic with the doctor at the end. The office staff is super kind and helpful. The Lasik Vision Institute is fantastic!! They are quick to schedule your consultation and your surgery! I had my consultation Monday and within that same week I had my surgery! Not waiting forever is such a benefit as it gives you no time to have any anxiety build up. Also, they couldn't be more pleasant and professional! They are so knowledgeable and will answer every single question and concern!! I always thought Laser eye surgery was so scary and also out of my budget. However they explaine every step of the whole process to you alleviating your fear and there financing options make it fit within anyone's budget! I currently only pay 122 a month for 2 years and that's will a horrible credit score. I'm sure anyone above 530 will get better pricing (and hey... For 122 a month that's not 1/2 bad). Not to mention there is no up front cost. Your 1st payment won't be for 2 months!! That's awesome!! I had my surgery yesterday and it went amazing! I will admit even with the numbing eye drops you can still feel some pressure and it's a little weird to have someone poking around in your eye. But the good news is. It only lasts about 2 minutes for the whole process. So while it might be a little uncomfortable at times and a little freaky... Anyone can handle under 2 minutes of being slightly uncomfortable. And they direct you through the whole process and tell you everything that's happening step by step. Like I said I had the surgery yesterday and just finished my next day follow up and I can already see 20/20 which is so amazing. And so cool that it happened so fast. And I had a pretty high prescription. I had -5.5 in my left eye and -5.25 in my right eye. And it was changed in just a few seconds! Make sure if your considering Lasik to come check out The Laser Eye Institute for all your vision needs!! And if you get this amazing life changing surgery make sure to follow all directions given by your doctor and make sure you go right to sleep after the surgery. You may like me experience some pain and burning after. It's totally normal but sleep is the only remedy. I took 4 200mg Benadryl capsules and that nocked me out for a few hours. I was still feeling a lot of discomfort in both eyes but after I woke up the next day there was no pain or discomfort at all. Only at times it felt like something was in my eye but the artificial tear eye drops will help that 100% just weather or not your eyes feel dry or not make sure to use them as directed as they are a life saver!!! I would recommend this surgery to anyone looking for better vision and like me tired of contact and eye glasses that are a hassle and a waste of money! Last note! Not only did the surgery bring me do perfect vision overnight it also fixed my terrible astigmatisms in both eyes. That's so incredibly and helps me see so much better!! I could not have asked for a better team and a better experience!! Thank you so much the Lasik Institute for restoring my vision and giving me better Peace of mind throughout my daily life.

When I first went in it was a bit of a rocky start. When they were scheduling my surgery date the employee had forgotten to give me an appointment time. As well as the prescriptions needed for the pre and post OP. Had to call again to get the time added to the date and was informed that I would get the prescription on my next visit. Other than that the service afterwards was great. Friendly and funny staff, they make you feel welcomed with their jokes and stories. It's a complete pleasure to get to know them. They're also very caring. Went out of their way to order pizza for everyone stuck in their office on the day of surgery. Overall I'm glad I had gotten my surgery and exams done here.

It was about 3 hours and I got all my scans done! Then I was scheduled for my surgery a week later which was 8/17. Today I'm in for postop. Jessica, Michelle and the surgeon I had were so kind. YAY, I CAN SEE NOW!! I scheduled a consultation strategically on a day when the surgeon was available so that if I was eligible I could do the procedure the same day, NO CHANCE TO BACK DOWN. Luckily I was a candidate and I had lasik done yesterday (Friday), and today (Saturday) my vision is 20/20; mind you I was VERY visually handicapped prior to the procedure, I'm talking -5 😳 so if I lost my glasses or removed a contact lense I could not drive, hell I probably couldn't even walk if I was in an unfamiliar place. Megan took care of me during my consultation and again before the procedure, what a gem. She walked me through every eye check/scan, answered all of my questions and did an incredible job of explaining every tid bit, she was knowledgeable, sweet, and very patient. Actually, the entire staff was incredibly genuine and hospitable, such a great team! The actual wait for the procedure was pretty long, (I think almost 3 hours past the appointment time) which wasn't a problem because I caught up on some reading. I waited 15 years to get to this moment, whats another few hours?? Exactly. The actual procedure was VERY quick, approximaly 10 minutes for both eyes. The procedure itself was not painful due to anesthetic drops. Following the procedure was pretty uncomfortable, but not unmanageable. I kept my eyes closed and tried to nap for 6 hours or so. Once I woke up from my nap I could see like never before! Brought happy tears to my eyes and I'm not even a crier. Anyways, my overall experience was nothing short of incredible. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to experience seeing without contact lenses or glasses. I am forever grateful, thank you Lasik Vision Institute!

I had my Contoura Vision LASIK procedure on Friday, July 17th 2020 at LVI in Bala Cynwyd. The surgery was performed by Dr. Shah and the results are outstanding. The whole process, from free consultation to surgery, to post operative care, has been fantastic. The surgery is quick, it takes about 8-10 minutes, and Dr. Shah and his staff did an excellent job putting me at ease. After the surgery, I went home and took a nap. 4 hours later, I opened my eyes and had sharp vision. The next morning I had my post op appointment and they confirmed I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes and can see 20/15 combined. I would 100% recommend LVI in Bala Cynwyd and Dr. Shah. This was by far one of the best decisions of my life! I have always disliked wearing glasses. I have considered laser surgery for years but was always afraid. Once I decided to go for it I texted a code to their number. Immediately someone called and the process began. The initial consultation was about 3 hours long but well worth it. They checked and re-checked to make sure everything was addressed. The appointment was made the procedure was done a week later and I am beyond pleased. There is pain afterwards so I would definitely say take something with a sleep agent in it so you can rest. But once you’re up you’ll be fine!!!! These guys are the best. I had a lot of fears about doing Lasik as this was my first surgery.. But everyone, from the receptionist to the surgeons, really made me feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the entire process. It was so comfortable from the moment I stepped in until I left. All the staff was amazing. They kept telling me that after the exam it gets easier, I thought they were just saying that but it was the truth. The Lasik itself was only about 3-5 minutes each eye. It did not hurt at all the only thing that was difficult for me was trying too keep both my eyes open. I know it sounds like everyone else but I REALLY wish I would have done this sooner.

I had my consultation on Monday, February 23rd and we scheduled my Lasik with Contoura for yesterday, February 28th. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old. At the age of 32 I started to wear contact lenses, about 3 weeks ago I lost my contact lenses case and I said that was it. I finally made my appointment with LASIK Vision Center. Went for my consultation, the staff are really nice very professional. So they told me I was candidate for the Lasik procedure. I was soo excited the staff told me that they were going to have the surgeon look at my exam to make sure what procedure was best for me. The staff called me and the surgeon gave me the go for my procedure October 19, 2018. The day of the procedure I was nervous I mean it’s my eyes god greatest gift are my eyes. The staff went over everything what to expect, that it only going to take a couple of minutes. I was nervous for nothing the procedure was easy and quick. The surgeon told me step by step what was he doing. I recommend anyone to get their proxy with Lasik Vision Center, the stag and the suroare great and so it the price. Thank you Lasik Vison Center you change my life.

I had a awesome experience at the LASIK Vision Institute. Scheduling the pre-op consultation was easy and convenient. During the consultation it was suggested I get the custom LASIK procedure. It's more money that the traditional, however, in my opinion it's definitely worth it. No pressure was applied, I never felt as if they were trying to up-sale, simply offering another option. I took a night to think about it, and decided to do the custom LASIK procedure. The day of my procedure came, and everything went well. The surgery itself is very quick. I was in the operating room for under 10 minutes. After it was completed I experienced some pain and discomfort which is normal. After I got home and took a nap I had very little pain and was able to see clearly. The next day's post-op visit I had 20/20 vision, and was able to drive without any problems. The staff were great, and it was encouraging that one of the staff members had the procedure performed for herself, as she was able to give first-hand experience. Dr. Choi was very kind, and explained everything very thoroughly, and answered all my questions. I just concluded my 3 month follow-up. I have no problems. My vision is excellent, and I sometimes forget that I used to wear glasses and contact. My vision has improved and I now have 20/15 eyesight.

All I can say about LVI and the employees at Bala Cynwyd is WOW!!! What an incredible experience. I had an amazing experience at The Laski Vision Institute!! As with any surgery, it is normal to be nervous, but especially a surgery involving your eyes. The staff reassured me countless times that everything was going to be okay I went for my consultation appointment and to see if I was a candidate, I was. Everyone in the office was extremely helpful and caring about each patient and each patients needs. You are not just another “patient getting laski to them.” Or another “patient paying them.” They all truly care about you and your questions, comments and concerns about the procedure. During my consultation I was told several times by different staff members that the pre test was going to be worse then the actual procedure and they were without a doubt correct. During your consultation, your in the office for about an hour and half to two hours. Although it was a long day, the nurses took the time to make sure each test was done correctly for them to get the best results. If they took a picture of your eyes, and the results were not clear for whatever reason, they would take another picture to make sure the picture was the best for them to get the best results to diagnose you. They asked during my consultation when I was looking to schedule my appointment and I said “most likely in December because I’m in college and I’ll be on winter break then.” The nurse explained to me that I can come in on a Saturday morning (I was shocked at the fact they had appointments on Saturdays!) Then she said, you will be in and out and be okay to return to school Monday. She was absolutely right. It is now Sunday night (the day after my surgery) and I feel like I didn’t even have laski done!! Most surgery’s are scheduled very inconvenient days and times like a Tuesday at 6am. Not at the laski vision institute. Then today, Sunday I went in for my first post op appointment to make sure everything was smooth and in place ! I was shocked that they had me come in on a Sunday when the office is typically closed but they allow a few hours for post op appointments. I had a co worker refer me to a different place that they went to. But that place was not only more expensive but also did not seem to care like the Laski Vision Institute does. From their experience it seemed like all they cared about was the money they were getting. Not for the patient and each individual persons needs. I’m extremely thankful I made the decision to go to Laski Vision Institute. I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other place! Thank you so much !!!!!

I had a very positive experience receiving Contoura surgery from Dr. Cho and her staff. I am almost a month out of surgery and consider it to be one of the best life decisions I've made. I can see better than I could before with glasses or contacts (my contacts prescription was -3.75), and am recommending that my friends and family go for Lasik consultations at LVI Philly as well. All-in-all, I ended up spending $2500 for the surgery--$1800 for groupon, $200 for followup appointments, $500 for the (optional) Contoura surgery, and an extra $70 or so for post-surgery eye drops (P.S. it's worth it to spend a little bit more for the recommended Systane Ultra artificial tears--the CVS brand was awful). Everyone at the office was friendly and welcoming, and they remembered my name every time I visited. Jessica welcomed me in the first day and gave me details about the billing and costs of the operation, and explained the Lifetime Assurance plan ($1000 extra, which I decided not to opt for). Rebecca performed the initial eye exam and answered all of the questions that I had about the procedure. Finally, I met with Dr. (Diana) Cho who recommended me for the newer Contoura Vision surgery (which would cost an additional $500 and I was told only is applicable to about 5% of patients). I elected to go for Contoura, and scheduled the surgery for the following week. They asked that I come in the day before the surgery for a quick appointment to double-check that my vision was stable enough for Contoura. On the day of the surgery, I spent 3-4 hours at the office for everything including paperwork and post-surgery recovery. The surgery itself look about 5 minutes, and I could immediately tell that my vision was great as soon as I got out of the surgery room (it was a bit like looking through a dirty window since my eyes were pretty irritated). After about 45 minutes, Dr. Cho did some post-surgery checkup and then I caught a ride-share home and rested for a few hours. I trusted my vision enough to drive at night only 5 hours after the surgery! Over the next few weeks Dr. Cho checked up with me several times to see how my vision was, which shows the care that she and her team have for their patients. Overall, it was a great decision for me to get Lasik at LVI Philly.

Procedure was great! The dr. Made me SO comfortable, as I was so nervous to do this life changing event. However I was extremely disappointed with the wait time. A person coming to do this lasik is already nervous as is. But to wait for 4-5 hours to get a lasik done really was about to change my mind, myself and my family waited for so long. When I addressed the issue the receptionist told me “well we told you it’ll be 2-3 hours” wasn’t very pleasant. I would recommend this place however just be cautious of the time and try to schedule EARLY or LATER . Nothing in between :) over all happy with result.

It is 2 months already since I had done it and I want to thank the team who helped me with my vision problems. Other than the long wait - about 8 hours for the surgery, everything else was on exceptional level. Dr. Cho was very responsive and honest to me. I have got small inflammation on my eye, but it was treated well and right away. My friend left that review several days after the surgery, he was worried about me, I think. But there is a lot of information there I disagree. So after 2 month my eyes are 20/20 and I have no side effects, no dryness or anything. I save money doing surgery with that office, so I do recommend LVI at Bala Cynwyd.

My experience with getting the lasik surgery was a painless procedure, but just take note that after the procedure you would be light sensitive, and have a slight bit of pain for like 2 to 3 days but for me the pain last about 1 minutes so I didn't have to take any pain medication but other then that, the environment was clean, peaceful, and well managed with great doctors/ Physicians. From the moment of walking into the office, the staff make you feel extremely welcomed and not just like another number or patient. The day of surgery, I found out I would be getting PRK and not Lasik, which has a longer down time.The surgeon didn't feel comfortable doing Lasik on me. I kind of wish I knew before coming in the day of surgery to better prepare myself for the PRK surgery, but I totally understood and am a safety first kind of guy. But unfortunately, I wasn't planning for the longer downtime with PRK due to work and travel schedule, so had to reschedule. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in getting me back in ASAP to get my surgery done. 5 days now post-op, I just got my contact lens removed, (of which I had to push back a day because of work) the staff accommodated me again. My vision is still a little blurred, but on track and I already can see better than before. Overall, the team at this Philadelphia LVI Office are nothing but professional, caring, personable, and very helpful from start to end. I went for the Lasik vision Institute in August 5th, 2017 for the eye test where I got approved for the surgery. In August 26th, 2017 I had my Lasik surgery and another eye test before the surgery I arrived at 6:30 AM. Had my surgery at 9:17 am it took only 2 minutes for the surgery itself, I couldn't believe myself only 2 minutes I felt little bit of pressure during the surgery. After the surgery they sat us on a dark room and asked us to close our eyes I can't remember if we stayed there for half an hour or an hour but after that I saw the doctor "cheu" she is very nice. I had a follow up appointment in August 28th to see how my eyes were recovering the doctor told me it was very good. I can see now better as today is the 30th of August. My eyes are still little bit itchy but I'm putting the drops. About the customer service and nurses Michelle was amazing she encouraged me. She is a hard working woman Jessica is a very smart lady very very nice. There was an Asian lady I can't remember her name she wasn't nice but for how Jessica and the rest of the stuff were nice I had to give them 5 stars. The surgeon whom is the unknown soldier was amazing. I followed his directions during the surgery and here I'm I don't need glasses or contacts anymore yay

Consultation Day: Absolutely free no obligation to pay. Staff members were so nice and welcoming. Each person had a big smile which calmed my nerves of getting Lasik. I had questions and they had detailed answered. Each person I spoke with made sure I understood every step in the process. Left confident I was in great hands. Day Of Lasik: Very smooth all staff members were on the same page and communicated effectively with me with everything that was about to happen and the wait time was slim to none. The entire process seemed to fast. Once I got under the laser my Dr. made sure I was comfortable and explained to me step by step what he was doing with me eyes, one eye at a time. Overall it took less than 10 minutes under the laser and I could see from the time I stood up. Great customer service. I got my lasik vision surgery done over a month ago. The surgeon, ophthalmologists and employees are very pleasant, professional and patient. They took their time to walk me through the process. I am having complications with eye dryness and having some debris on one of my eyes interface, but Dr. Cho is very through and provides recommendations to help. It is still a process but Dr. Cho is always very honest and offers to see me to follow up with me with my eye problems. I highly recommend getting a consultation here...and if you qualify, getting your procedure done! Plus the price for the procedure is very reasonable. I have no regrets.

Today is November 2nd 2019. I received lasik surgery yesterday at around 1030am. I woke up this morning and I could “see the alarm clock!” and my kid’s faces without glasses! Things are still hazy which will only get better with time! I have perfect 20/20 vision! I could see the city in crystal clear for the first time in my life. I have had glasses/ contacts all my life with a very high near-sighted prescription and astigmatism. The price was reasonable and well worth it! They used the laser to cut the flap and I received the upgraded contoura in the left eye. The staff was exceptional! Very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The consultation took about 3 hours but the process was extremely thorough. They made sure they did every calculation necessary to get me the best possible outcome. I was a skeptic. I had about a billion questions. I had been wearing glasses since I was 12 and being 29 now, that is over half my lifetime struggling to see. Every single question was answered by the staff and doctors. The surgeon, dr Barry Wassermann (yes, him!) was the kindest man and decided that contoura in the right eye would not be the best option for me so we only did it on the left. The nurses were nice and knowledgeable and put me at ease. I was so nervous about the procedure, because, it’s only my eyes! Everyone, everyone put me at ease and I had full trust in the staff when they did my operation which took a total of 5 minutes! After the procedure, i saw a bit of a haze but I immediately saw results. Today, I see 20/20 and only a small amount of haze which is going away by the hour. at this point I am still sensitive to light but was less than when my eyes were dilated for the consultation. If you are on the fence, go get your free consultation!! Talk to these nice people who actually DO care and want to change your life! My life has been forever changed by lasik. It’s real. No gimmicks. It’s futuristic, laser technology that I am so happy that I live in an age where it exists! I have eagle eyes! I can see far away and near! I do not need ANY glasses, contacts or anything! i was pretty much blind. Now I see!

My Prescription was very high since I was a child +6 and astigmatism -1.5 for about a year now. I started having terrible headaches and I would trip on stairs and see very blurry. My vision affected my life greatly. On my consultation visit I was told that I am border line and i might not be approved for the procedure but the next day I received a call that both surgents agreed and I will be seen the next day for Lasik. I was extremely exited happy and nervous. The stuff here is amazing, sweet understanding and professional, they did through check up of my eyes on both appointments consultation and the day of surgery they also requested my medical records form optometrist. A truly amazing experience! I went in a nervous wreck and came out as happy as I have ever been in my life. The team at LVI went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Every detail explained and repeated until fully understood. Their bedside manner and overall professionalism was simply outstanding. The worst moment was having to return the teddy bear they gave me to hold for comfort and support during the procedure. It helped me so much I wanted to take it home! It’s the next day after my lasik eye surgery and it’s beyond what I expected! I’ve been wearing glasses since I was about six years old and was deemed legally blind around 22. Before my consultation my eye doctor warned me that the brand name contact supplies were no longer making my prescription and that I would be spending major money on special lenses and it might not even do me justice. During my consultation I was informed of all the different options I had and the possibilities of which route they may have to take for someone with such a high prescription as mine. They were very detailed and thorough in their explanation that any anxiety I had was out the window and I knew I could for sure be taken care of. My pre op visit after the consultation I was informed that despite my prescription and astigmatisms I was approved for the lasik! After the procedure that took about 45seconds to a minute on each eye I was able to look up and see a clock on the wall in detail when normally I can’t see anything further than six inches from my face. After the recommend nap it was even better! Now it’s day two and I feel like I’ve just popped in a new prescription contact lenses only thing is I’m seeing this good and clear through my own eyes! Literally, life changing and the best thing I’ve ever done ! I’m so thankful for Dr Barry and the entire staff for making this experience even better!

Okay so I just got my procedure completed on 1/17/20, This is single handily the best decision i've ever made. Pre-op my vision was terrible and overnight I'm already at 20/20 vision and the doctors say that as my vision stabilizes i'm going to get even better. I've used contacts for the past five years and every year, my eye sight worsened. It became very upsetting. So, my husband and I decided to get Lasik together and were recommended to Lasik Vision Institute by a friend. Dr. Cho was my pre-op and post-op doctor and I have to say, I hate going to the eye doctor BUT Dr. Cho has forever changed my perspective! She is easy-going and was very informative on what I needed for healthier eyes. Including my surgeon, Dr. Barry Wasserman! He made the Lasik surgery experience very fun! Also, Staff here are very attentive of every customer that goes in and out although it gets busy. I had my lasik done 3 days ago. It is amazing! The whole procedure only takes 10 minutes max. Staff at Bala Cynwyd location are all friendly and nice. If you don't know if you want to get it or not, just get it! It is so worth the money.

My experience thus far has been exceptional from day one filling out the online survey I recieved a phone call within 2 hours and from there has been quick, any questions I had were answered in great detail and with tremendous honesty. The Procedure was very fast painless with only minor discomfort but with great results. After goin through Lasik and Contura my vision has greatly improved and its outstanding to be able to see and with such clarity after so many years of wearing glasses and contacts. I just went in for another check up and cannot believe it but my vision is currently 20/10 which is mind blowing. I did not expect such a tremendous improvement in my vision to be beyond 20/20. So, I just had Lasik done yesterday! I couldn't be more pleased!! Totally worth the cost (though would be great if the insurance would quit being absolute pansies about paying for.... literally anything... ever) I was near sighted and had astigmatism, but I'm told today at my post op appointment that my vision is now 20/15. I didn't even know there was a 20/15. I thought 20/20 was perfect lol! The operation itself was quick... and I mean seconds quick, and there was no pain and very minimal discomfort. Easier than dental! No needles lol. The staff was awesome very accommodating, and the doctors were very professional. The entire experience was great! Though I will warn you, on operation day you will more than likely be waiting for a great deal of time. Bring a book lol! Me... I was crawling out of my seat lol! I would recomend Lasik to anyone with trouble seeing the next exit sign clearly ;-)

Vanessa (the receptionist) starts things off for me in a very pleasant way. Jessica was super helpful in helping me understand the financing and the process. When it was Lasik time, Dr. Wasserman (who prefers to be called Barry) was SO MUCH FUN! I didn't imagine having "fun" during Lasik, but that's what happened. We laughed, sang Beyoncé songs, and became BFF's (his words, not mine). I went for my post op the following morning and my vision was at 20/15. The woman who examined my eyes in post op said they should be even better in a few days! The surgery itself was VERY quick, and painless! I was terrified to be awake, but I couldn't feel a thing. About time! I had been wanting to have a corrective eye procedure for quite awhile but deferred due to always being busy the last few years especially with travel. Many friends and associates were recommending LASIK in general and my younger brother had it done last year and he loves it. Due to an opportune reading of other reviews, I came upon the LASIK Vision Institute in Bala Cynwyd, PA. From the beginning consultation to the actual procedure and follow up, I was surrounded by the utmost professionalism, and thoroughness, and care about the procedure, even why I wanted it done,. "No hard sell." Dr. Cho even questioned my earnestness in wanting to have it done because I apparently was not exhibiting a lot of excitement. Anyway, I was introduced to the option of Monovision whereby I would be able to see both distance and closeup without needing reading glasses (More for people over 45 or so). Then I got excited and said let's go for it! The surgical doctor was top notch. He was also very personable and reassuring and guided me step by step through the very quick procedure! It has been 2 weeks since the procedure and I am in love! I actually went to work the next day after my postop appointment with the only caution of wearing some protective nonprescription eyewear for a day or so. I was concerned that I was overworking my eyes because I immediately had to work long hours into the late evening early the next week and I was concerned about driving at night. Dr. Cho returned my call and provided with great expert information. My one month followup is in a few weeks. I am again very satisfied with the whole "lifechanging" experience! I had a great experience at LVI Bala Cynwd. I'm so glad it worked out because I was initially very nervous about getting lasik and had been putting it off for years. I'm torn about this Philadelphia location. The office itself is disorganized especially in days the surgeon is in. However, the surgeon himself is great and takes his time to talk to you if you have any questions. But general patient care is lacking. I had a 12:30 appointment on a Wednesday afternoon (a day the surgeon is not there) and the office was practically empty, yet I've been here for about an hour and the doctor is yet to see me. The day of my surgery, it was the same situation - I faced hours of delays along with everyone else there. Overall I'm happy with my choice to get lasik done, but this location is really lacking on its patient care skills. Be prepared to have hours to spare if you come in for an appointment.

The LVI changed my life!!! I went in for a consultation to learn more about correcting my vision and they were nothing but helpful. They did not push to have the procedure at all. They answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what solution was best for me. Dr. Cho is awesome!!! When I first went in for my first appointment I was nervous that my eyes (due to my astigmatism) wouldn't qualify for having Lazik Surgery. I first met with Michelle, who was very kind and helpful making sure to explain everything in detail about the procedure and all the aspects of what to expect. Once I found out I did qualify I was overjoyed as I have worn glasses since I was 5. I immediately scheduled my surgery and found I was even able to use my Flex Spending Account to pay for the majority of the cost. Dr. Vittone performed my procedure and it was painless. Dr. Dianna Cho also assisted me that day as well placing silicone plugs (which I do recommend all those who use PC's frequently get) in the corners of my eye. The plugs themselves are so small you can't even feel them and never notice they are there. From the moment I came out of surgery I was able to see clearer than I have ever seen before and today I am free of glasses and contacts and live care free. I have chosen to remain with Dr.Cho as my Optometrist as I trust her and am pleased with her care. If I meet anyone interested in Lasik I would recommend her practice as they are not only just good at what they do, but they are very Customer friendly and genuine. I have been waiting all my life for a miracle like this to be able to truly see since 26 years ago when I had needed glass for Distance in first grade. At age 33 I finally couldn’t stand it no longer living my life like this! With my son taking my same path I really had to do. AMAZING! Seriously, glasses were impeding on my life. I travel a ton and they were always in my way, falling off my face, I just completely stopped wearing makeup bc i didn't see point with glasses. MY eyes are super duper dry and I can't wear contacts. So I went for a free consultation expecting that I couldn't afford lasik in a million years, I just wanted to see if I even qualified. Jessica G (taller Jess) worked SO hard to find a payment plan that worked for me, she really really went the extra mile to make sure I could get lasik. There was a whole issue my credit being flagged but Jessica made it work anyways. Jessica G went as far to text me about getting prescriptions, upcoming appointments and answering all of my questions. I couldn't believe that she went that far for me!! The whole staff was there for me from start to finish, they made me feel totally at home, answered all my questions and rooted for me every time I encountered a problem (financially) to get lasik. I was SO comfortable and never felt like I was bothering anybody with questions. Between Jessica G and the other (shorter) Jessica, Veronica and Rebecca I felt SO supported! I got nervous during my procedure and Rebecca was there to talk to me and even gave me a teddy bear (lol) and Jessica G stayed after her shift just to give me a hug after Lasik. They offer a free exam, so I tried it out and I felt comfortable with Rebecca. Dr Cho is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable answering your questions. The manager who discuss the price is very nice. My surgeon was Dr Parekh, he is amazing!!!! He explains everything over and over again to make you feel comfortable, he is so patient and friendly. I had an amazing experience at this location. Long story short, I didn't think I was a LASIK candidate because of my dry eyes; however, Dr. Cho put together a game plan for me and now I am glasses and contacts free! After your exam you meet with Dr.Cho who will review your records, and determine the best method that fits your needs. Dr. Cho hands down is the one of the best doctors i have ever encountered. Her patient care, professionalism, honesty and detailed knowledge of not only lasik but the eye in general is one of the main reasons why I highly reccommend you go visit. She will be with you from the start to finish with any questions and concerns you may have. Additionally she will provide you with key advice that will help you through the procedure and recovery! Barry N. Wasserman was my performing surgeon, he was recommended by Dr. Cho to be the one that performs the lasik eye surgery on me. It was an incredible choice because Dr Wasserman has performed over 12,000 lasik procedures and works for the prestigious Wills eye hospital. Having a surgeon with experience is and was the most important deciding factor for going through with this procedure and The LASIK Vision instiute provided one of the best! My procedure took less than 15 minutes. When you first walk into the room they give you a teddy bear to hold ( it helps ), and they will tell you to lay on the table. The doctor has the natural ability to keep you entertained / distracted through the procedure. Because you are distracted / entertained the procedure goes by much quicker! Overall I highly recommend you visit the LASIK vision institute if you are considering improving your vision. I was on my last set of contact lenses when my friend told me that she was getting lasik at this location. Since they provided a free consultation, I just decided to make an appointment. I had my set of worries and skepticisms, but Dr. Cho and the LVI staff's professional demeanor (ex. setting appointments and follow-ups), extreme thoroughness (ex. analyzing my really bad vision which was between -5.00 and -6.00 for both eyes), and clear communication (ex. financing my payments) made it easy for me to choose to go through with everything. The actual procedure was only about 15 minutes. Dr. Barry Wasserman and his team did an amazing job. They gave me a teddy bear and turned on some music to ease my anxiety (I did fear that I might go blind for the rest of my life...). I also felt very cared for afterwards. They gave me clear instructions on how to take care of my eyes, and Dr. Cho was firm on having post-operation check ups. I must say, this is one of the best decisions I have made in my life! No more worrying about having to buy contacts every month and having to pack them everywhere I go. I don't know about other places that provide Lasik, but I don't need to because I believe LVI Bala Cynwyd, PA is the best!

Purchased a groupon to come to this location. Sadly I was not a candidate for lasik but I was a candidate for PRK. At first I was afraid since I learned that the process is similar however the recovery time is slower. Needless to say, I was patient and I went through with the procedure when my eyes were ready. The surgeon was great. He talked to me during the procedure and I was able to hold on to the teddy bear. Dr. Cho was great getting me thru before and after the procedure. Although your healing time is slower and you do have some discomfort, it was well worth it. It has been almost a year and my vision is better than 20/20. I would do it all over again if I had to in order to get these results. This surgery changed my life. I highly recommend this place and PRK if you are not a candidate for lasik.

Mmm hmmm... I SEE you! 👏🏾👏🏾 Day 6 and I can see both near and far!!! I can see my texts on my IWatch finally!!! Colors are vivid, light sensitivity is minimal!! I watched my sons game on my phone today without squinting once... I will tell you... Lasik has changed since it was first introduced a little over a decade and a half ago!! I was so sad when my husband gifted me $2000 for the procedure in 09’ and I was told I needed $2000 more... man I cried... that news was a blessing in disguise because technology has changed and the procedure has upgraded to prevent light sensitivity and to allow your eyes to see both near and far without the inconvenience of having to adjust.. Monovision brought both near and far together!! Contoura was a blessing because I actually had THREE surgical procedures in my life to remove contacts I slept in and it affected my cornea where I continually had light sensitivity for the last 15 years.. (I know it was a lazy and irresponsible thing to do after the first two but... 🤷🏽‍♀️) and wore gradient lenses to eliminate my discomfort.. all the time. Contoura prevents a great deal of light sensitivity. The price fir all three was the same as I was quoted over 15 years ago for Lasik alone and for the gift of complete sight.. The employees were fun, professional and insightful. I can’t tell you how priceless a gift that is that my husband gave me!!!!! I can’t thank him enough for this unselfish gesture of love. My experience at the Lasik Vision Institute was amazing. I had a very pleasant experience with every single staff member, nurse practitioner, and doctor. The facility was incredibly clean and state-of-the-art. Megan singlehandedly walked me through every question and had a deep passion for laser corrective surgery, it made me feel so comfortable and informed. My consultation was on a Thursday and was very thorough. I could've gotten my surgery within a day of my consult, but due to scheduling, I was able to get in a little over a week later. For those who are looking at the reviews (like I did) to become acquainted with what to expect and get an honest opinion ahead of time, the surgery was extremely quick. From the moment I walked into the office to the moment I left, it was only about 15/20 minutes. The surgery in and of itself was only about 5/10 minutes. There are two lasers, one for creating the flaps and the other for correcting your prescription. They use numbing drops, you won't feel the lasers at all; however, they do put different tools into your eyes to prevent you from blinking and to isolate your eyeballs, which definitely is uncomfortable, but the surgeon gives you consistent affirmation (which I needed) and tells you how many seconds you have left until you switch eyes. Ultimately, the lasers are only on your eyes for a handful of seconds. Afterwards, you will experience a lot of pain and a sharp burning sensation for 2 and a half, 3 hours. Once you get through the first few hours, you will feel so much better, and by hour 5 post-op, the burning sensation will be dulled if not fully gone. The recovery period, in terms of requiring drops, wearing nighttime eye shields, and waiting on strenuous activities, takes only about a week or so, with artificial tears needing to be used for the next month. It's incredible how far technology has come with laser correction! My post-op appt was the morning after my surgery and it went incredibly well. Already had 20/20. LVI provides a great financing option. I had an amazing experience here and would highly recommend LVI if you are looking to get corrective surgery! Update: I changed my review from a 5/5 to a 4/5. I showed up for my 1 month post-op appointment today where there was a sign on their door saying LVI was temporarily closed and I needed to call a number to reschedule. I took the morning off of work to come to this appointment. I realize things happen and I don't know exactly why they're closed, but to not call your patients who had upcoming appts to tell them that you are temporarily closed is unprofessional regardless. I called the number on the door and it seems like LVI temporarily closed a few days ago. With that being said, they're redirecting me to my surgeon's practice. I don't regret my surgery at LVI, but this was frustrating considering it's a post-op appt that is needed and now I have to arrange for another appt at a different location.

The staff were really nice and they were willing to explain the procedure in detail and answer any other question that I had. The procedure itself was really quick it took about 15-20 minutes and it was done, I did not feel a thing I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
