I was a bit nervous going into this clinic as it’s not everyday you trust strangers with your vision. However, everyone from the receptionist and assistants to the doctors were super inviting, warm, and were happy to answer any questions I had about the Lasik procedure. The actual operation only took about 10-15 minutes and I felt no pain at all! I highly recommend this LasikPlus Brooklyn location to anyone looking for a MAJOR improvement in quality of life. I’ve been thinking about Lasik for the better part of a decade. I travel a lot for a living, and the constant need to figure out if I had enough contact lenses finally got to me! I came to LasikPlus as one of my options in receiving consultations and immediately felt cared for and supported. After a Monday consultation, I went forward with the procedure the following Friday! Not only was I in and out in the matter of 20 minutes, but within the first day my vision hit 20/10! The first few hours after the surgery are quite unpleasant. But you just keep your eyes closed and nap, if you can. Like magic, your eyes flip a switch about 4 hours after the procedure and the initial unbearable irritation subsides. I do have some bruising and dryness (as expected) but the recovery is pleasantly fast! I’m writing this review because I know how important reviews were to my research and decision making process. I highly recommend that if you are considering this life changing procedure not to hesitate. The team at LasikPlus is incredible, and made me feel very safe. They talked me through the entire procedure as it was happening, and calmed my nerves even as the lasers were doing their thing! Thanks again to this incredible team for giving me the gift of sight! 🙏✨

Had a great experience. Day of your eyes hurt, but not unbearable. Would recommend resting at least a weekend and even a few more days if you can to give yourself time to heal. You sleep a lot during the first week. After a week or two you’re pretty much perfect and can see without aid!!

Never would I have ever imagined I’d have better than 20/20 vision…like I’m blind blown. Life changing. And so easy!! I went from legally blind to better than 20/20 vision in a day. The procedure took 3 minutes… and the team helped me get here! I had consistent styes that held me back in life but doctor Salonia gave me the regimen and here I am! Just got emotional in the exam room because I never need to worry about glasses again! Thankfully nothing terrible happened here with my surgery, but I would not recommend getting lasik here. The staff here is nice but I felt that my surgery was rushed - the front desk called me multiple times day of to move my surgery earlier, my prescription wasn’t checked the day of the surgery, and the surgeon was out the door before me after the operation. During the post-op checkup the next day, the team told me I had 20/20 vision, which is hard to believe because I had a difficult time reading the letters. And 2.5 months later, my optometrist confirmed I still have a prescription -0.5 in both eyes. For certain activities, like playing tennis, I still need to wear contacts. Lastly, this might be a me issue, but I didn’t feel prepared for the post-op pain. My eyes were burning that night, and the pain woke me up twice. For the next three days, it felt like there was a grain of sand scratching my eyes. I’ve read online that other offices offer numbing drops, which I wasn’t given but would’ve definitely appreciated.

I would give 6 stars if I could. The Lasik Eye surgery itself was not painful, just a bit of pressure, it was about 15ish minutes long. They promised they would aim for 20:20 vision, on my first checkup I had 20:15, I'm usually a suspicious person, but I believe them, I see much clearer than I ever did with glasses. That in itself would get them 5 stars, and then we get to how friendly and professional the staff was, they answered every question I had and I never felt rushed, I only ever left the office when I ran out of questions to ask. The only con is that the surgery itself is expensive, it's worth the price and they give excellent discounts but it's expensive, that's Lasik in general, the silver lining is that you can use FSA or HSA funds to pay for or reimburse yourself.

Great service and very professional and knowledgeable staff. I'm pretty sure they only perform surgeries on a Thursday and they also offer early bird discounts if you have the surgery that Thursday or the following. Just a heads-up because if you wanted to get it done, that might be important as to when you get your consultation. I personally had a consultation on Tuesday and then surgery 2 days later in the morning. I was very happy with the surgery and my eyes felt fine by the afternoon. It's now 3 weeks later and I couldn't be happier with the results, my eyesight is better than 20/20. If you found this review helpful, I'd love if you could hit the 'like' button on it, thanks! Update: it's now 2021 and many years later and my eyes still feel like new. My vision is great, and my only regret is that I wish I'd had the surgery sooner. First review was from 2018.

Dr. Oh, Dr. Aleksandrovich and their staff have been super friendly through the whole process!! For someone that has been legally blind for nearly my entire life, they made a potentially intimidating process feel seamless and comfortable. I would recommend this practice. Very professional and friendly staff, thorough and accommodating with scheduling (I had to move my appointments multiple time due to Covid). Dr. Oh and Dr. Alexandrovich and their assistants were very knowledgeable, pleasant and patient in answering all the questions. The appointment durations may seem long, but are clearly communicated upfront so you always know what to expect. The surgery itself is less pleasant than a walk in the park, but it's manageable, discomfort is short-lived, and they even have a teddy bear for you to hold on to if you're nervous :) Overall, very positive experience and a great result.

So happy with my new vision after getting Lasik correction surgery! My prescription used to be -7 with astigmatism in both eyes. The procedure was super fast 10 minutes total time in the operating room (I measured it lol) Doctors were great and ultimately I chose LasikPlus over other competitors because they were the only facility willing to do a consultation before surgery and provide pricing upfront. On top of that the staff was very accommodating went friendly and they can’t imagine trusting my eyes to another facility. Now my vision is 20/15 (better than 20/20) and continuing to heal!

I was apprehensive about the surgery because of the price and being terrified of the whole "lasers in your eyes" thing. However, I was immediately caught by the level of attention, care, and knowledge the team offered me at LasikPlus-- from my first phone call to the consultation, the surgery, and the follow up appointment. The surgery itself wasn't painful, it's just a bit scary because everything is so unfamiliar. However, the OR team talking to me throughout the whole procedure and explaining what they were doing eased a lot of my anxiety. A good amount of the staff have had Lasik at their own location, which was really reassuring. Special shoutout to Dr. Oh! She brought a level of care, attention, and professionalism that made me feel super safe with the procedure. My experience here was nothing short of wonderful, from the interactions over the phone prior to my appointment, to the ladies at the front when I checked-in, to the optometrist who enthusiastically checked my vision and provided reassurance, to the doctor who gave me the gift of sight again. Just had my procedure done this past Friday and my follow up today! Wonderful experience from start to finish! They first screen you for free to see if you qualify as a candidate for Lasik. On that visit they answer all your questions as well as provide all the information you may possibly need to prepare you for the procedure including post procedure. They also give you a quote and go over finances, provide you with different methods of payments including payment plans. Procedure day they do a second screening to confirm your current vision , and review everything one more time. Procedure was definitley an eye opening experience literally and Dr. Leon Aleksandrovich and his lovely staff made sure I was comfortable and guided me throughout the whole thing describing what I will be feeling and seeing as he was doing it so I was not surprised and very relaxed. Painless from start to finish and only took around 10 to 15 minutes. He was very efficient given the type of work he does! I was seeing alot better right after the procedure was completed. Post op instructions and medications were given and they promptly schedule a two to three day follow up to make sure everything is on track. I am currently at 20/15 using both eyes which is amazing given my previous prescription and very glad I investing my time and money in doing this and with the right people. Thank you Lasikplus!

Was serious about doing eye surgery but wasn’t sure I’d be a good candidate with a -10.25 prescription. During the consult, the staff in the office were thorough, and very hygienic throughout the whole process. They answered every single pain in the butt question I came up with and turns out, I was a candidate. Had the procedure done the same day with Dr. Aleksandrovich and they supply all of the post opt meds. My vision actually came out to 20/15 when tested during the 1-day post op exam. Highly recommend, considering I found out about this place through a friend who had a similarly awesome experience.

WOW! It's kind of crazy how your life can be changed in under 10 minutes. LasikPlus is a professional laser eye surgery office with world class staff and technology. They used the VISX laser for my procedure and if you can get over the uncomfortable eye probing and relax, you'll be in and out faster than a Wendy's Drive Thru. The staff were very thorough and the doctors were caring and courteous. I received a call from Dr. Alexandrovich the night before and you really can't beat that. He answered all my questions and reassured me that I'm in the best care. Special Shout Out to Vinton and Sahai. You guys are great.

This place is awesome! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prior to the Lasik procedure, I wore contact lenses for 13 years. I was apprehensive to have the procedure but after a friend got it and raved about it, I decided to get a consultation. I had my consultation with the center Director, Vinton. He's amazing! He was really personable and reassuring. He answered all my questions and didn't pressure me into getting the procedure right away. I was nervous to get the procedure! The actual procedure wasn't painful but a bit uncomfortable. Again not painful but pressure will be applied to your eyeballs which is an awkward feeling. Luckily it's a really quick procedure. My eyes were extremely watery post procedure to the point I couldn't really open them on the ride home. When I did attempt to open them, it felt like a burning sensation like when cutting an onion. Once I got home I went to sleep for a couple of hours and when I woke up I could see. It truly felt like a miracle! My eyes were a little sensitive to light that evening and the next day but I had no pain or discomfort. Having Lasik changed my life and I couldn't be happier I finally did it!

After my consultation and scheduling of my appointment for lasik, the day off, they did an extra exam just to make sure it would be as appropriate as possible. I came here on Monday for the free exam offer, I was a perfect candidate and after the awesome staff explain the options and how the procedure would work I decided to sign up for Lasik. They sent some eye drop prescription to my pharmacy and set a date to return for the procedure. I came back three days later for the procedure and after some basic paper work for the payment plan, I proceeded to wait with other patients for the procedure (all while other people came out from their own, happy and amazed at the change in their vision) when my turn came up, the doctor and nurses made me feel at ease and got the procedure executed, it was rather simple and fast, just make sure to keep your eyes looking up. I was able to see immediately after, clearly! The hard part came as the numbing drops wore off as I was being driven home. Definitely best to go immediately home and have some Advil/Tylenol and sleeping pills ready for you when you get home. Totally recommend Lasik and totally recommend this place for the procedure!

I got LASIK done here in April 2022. From consultation to post-op procedure, the experience was amazing. The team was so supportive and excited! I remember Ariana congratulating me when I was eligible. Dr. O was really friendly and answered every possible question I could think of. It helped that they all had LASIK done there themselves so they could speak from experience. On the day of the procedure, it can be scary because you don’t know what’s going to happen, but Dr. Alexander was very nice. He walked me through the whole thing (look at this light for about 10 more seconds, etc.). I had to sit under two machines and it was so quick! I was out of there in less than 10 minutes! Absolutely incredible and I didn’t feel a thing because of the numbing drops. In the car ride home, my eyes started to burn as the numbing drops started to wear off. The burning got pretty bad but nothing unbearable. Just laid down, closed my eyes and rested/slept in darkness for about 3 hours. By evening time, I was seeing just fine. Wore the sunglasses for a week or so. And continuing to do drops every 2 hours for a month, but may continue if needed. Overall, I highly recommend this location. And the cost was so reasonable compared to what I thought it would be. The team here was excellent and now I see better than 20/20!

I had a wonderful experience here at Lasik Plus. I had dreamed of having laser surgery for years but back in my country I didn't have a good feeling about it, the waitlist was at least 1 year and my eye doctor didn't seem very open to discuss it. I'm so glad I gave it another shot now that I live here in NYC! All the people at this center are welcoming and supportive, most of them had Lasik right there and they are willing to share their experience with you to clear any doubt you might have. No waiting list here, I had my visit early this February and once I was considered a good candidate there were multiple dates I could choose for my surgery. As early as the same week! I chose a later date so I could go over a few details like doing some research about the procedure and choosing the right financial plan for me. Yes they help you choose the right financial plan for you, isn't that amazing? I am 25 and I don't have the means to pay it all in advance but I was able to do it anyway with their help. I would 100% recommend Lasik at LasikPlus in Brooklyn to anyone who is considering it.

I had a great experience with the center. Staff was super friendly and informative. It helped ease anxiety when I learned many staffers had the surgery. The procedure was uncomfortable but it took 5 minutes to change my life. I recommend getting the early bird discount and go during a promotion to get a consultation/ surgery for cheaper. I had my procedure within 2 days of my consultation. It’s 3 weeks post op and I’m so happy to see clearly and not deal with glasses fog. My eyes get dry easily though. I just wish I was able to get a lasik plus T-shirt😩 For piece of mind, I think they should offer additional low cost post op visits like at 1month and 6 month benchmark so I can be sure my eyes are healing properly.

Today is 10/16/2021. I had my consultation on 10/14/2021 then had my Lasik on 10/15/2021. The entire staff was the absolute best. They were caring, reassuring and helpful from the second I stepped into the door. The entire Lasik Procedure lasted about 4 minutes or so. I now have 20/15 eye sight one day later. What a wonderful staff! They are extremely professional, helpful and kind. I had a great experience from my initial consultation, to the day of the procedure, to the follow-up appointment. Just got Lasik here on Friday after shopping around and doing consultations at 2 other places in Manhattan. The vibe of the place and the price I got were much, much better here. I'm still waiting for my vision to settle a bit, but seems like it's definitely much improved! They tested me at 20/15 during my follow up. The staff is incredibly friendly from front desk to medical assistants and the place is very clean and professional. The optometrist is really smart and helpful. And overall this all makes for a really great experience. The surgery itself is quick, but definitely much more uncomfortable than I expected. The surgeon is not particularly friendly and although I'm sure she's very capable, the absence of bedside manner and the sense that she's moving you through the OR quickly adds to the anxiety a bit. Follow up instructions were really thorough and gives the sense that they really care how you turn out. Finally, they ask you what you're expecting to pay - I would low ball them. They came in very close to the number I quoted (and it was a fair price for what I earn and the fact that you get lifetime warranty), but I have the sense that there were a few more discounts that could have been offered. Overall, a really, really positive experience and I would recommend. It's definitely better than any place I visited in Manhattan.

Great experience with all the staff here. I was well taken care of and all my questions and concerns were answered so well. I came in with quite a bit of nervousness and uncertainty since I have quite high myopia (-9.00 in both eyes). The procedure itself is quick and with minimal discomfort. I'm now about 5 days out from my procedure and my eyes are healing quite well. Dry eyes and a bit of subconjunctival bleeding/bruising is all I have left and it's improving day by day. Eager to see the final results in a few weeks and so grateful for this chance to see 20/20 with no glasses or contacts!

Very impressed with the staff and the entire process. The procedure is certainly a strange one (meaning just LASIK in general), but it’s over quick and they take good care of you. Hours later on the operation day, you have clear vision, and make sure you follow the eye drops regimen they give you. I would have Tylenol and melatonin with you to take ASAP after the procedure. I waited too long (due to a calamitous Lyft ride home, not LasikPlus’ fault), and would have loved to just fall asleep immediately when I got home. All pain is basically gone when you wake back up.

Can’t recommend this place enough. I came in for the free consultation last week, loved the vibe and the people, booked for the procedure for that week Friday. The procedure was scary, I’m not going to lie, but so worth it. I came home, took three hour nap and when I woke up the pain was gone, and I was seeing things!!! I came in for a follow up appointment today (the following Monday) and they confirmed that I’m seeing 20/15 vision which is better then 20/20. How crazy is that?!?! I never really considered LASIK until I eventually got tired of dealing with dry contact lenses at the end of each work day. After looking into the procedure a bit and talking with my insurance company about incentives, I decided to pay LASIK Plus a visit. The concept of the procedure itself was a bit intimidating so I did my research ahead of time and found a clean, newly renovated office when I arrived for my consultation. Everything was handled professionally and I received a full explanation of my prescription. I was told that I was a good candidate based on age, family history, and my current prescription, which was relieving since I had my doubts as I have an astigmatism in each eye. The procedure itself was seamless. I went in knowing exactly what to expect and was still shocked to find how quick it is from start to finish. As I sat in the waiting area watching other patients go before me, I was put at ease seeing how routine everything was. The recovery time took several weeks, but I was able to enjoy the results almost immediately. Now, three months removed from the procedure, I’m extremely satisfied with my decision and the results. I found LasikPlus Brooklyn through my vision insurance. I've been wearing glasses since the first grade! I live an active lifestyle and needed to wear contacts during any physical activity. I've been wanting laser eye surgery for years now. My vision is very bad, left eye -6.50 and right eye -5.50, with astigmatism. I went in for the initial consultation and confirmed that I was a good candidate for lasik. The staff and doctor were all friendly and professional, answered all my questions. (A plus was the music playing, they were playing 90s r&b!) They provide a discount if you schedule your procedure within a month of your consultation. With the discount from my insurance and me always wanting this done, I scheduled my procedure for 2 weeks later. My procedure was on 8/23/18. There was discomfort and pain when they keep your eyes open and use a suction to create the flap. The doctor warns you so I was at ease and expecting some discomfort. Right after the procedure, I could see but it was a bit cloudy which is normal. To keep it 100, I was in a lot of pain on the ride home. My eyes felt like it was burning. Once i got home, I took some Tylenol and took a nap. That night I was able to open my eyes with little discomfort and see clearly! The next day I had my follow up. My vision is now 20/20 and will likely improve over time! This was the best decision I made and would recommend LasikPlus Brooklyn to anyone. I wish I had this procedure years ago. It still feels weird to clearly see without the help of glasses or contacts.

I had a PRK procedure done here in November of 2019, so this review is way overdue! I had a wonderful experience at this LasikPlus location. My actual procedure was with Dr. Fleishman, who is a pro and could probably do those surgeries in her sleep. I saw Dr. Salonia for all my pre-op and post-op care. She is also fantastic! Explained everything in great detail, gave me her honest opinion on PRK vs. Lasik and had good advice on how to get through recovery and long term maintenance of my new eyesight. The price was fair and I had the option to pay interest free over the course of a year. Happy I made the choice to have PRK here - I still have moments when I can't believe how clear my eyesight is!

Amazing experience!! I came across LasikPlus Brooklyn while randomly searching for eye surgeons who perform LASIK in NYC. LasikPlus had over 600 reviews of 5 stars each and I noticed that the consultation was free so I went ahead and booked the consultation for Monday 11/25. In all honesty, with my anxiety and what I felt were extremely dry eyes I didn’t think I would be a candidate for the procedure. However, with the help of the wonderful staff and Dr. Solonia, they cleared me for the procedure & scheduled it for the very next day. The exams they performed during the consultation are the same exacts ones they perform during the day of the procedure except for the first two. They’ll then give you a set of eye drops, take you to the waiting room until it’s your turn. My surgeon was Dr. Jackson and he did great! Him along with the nurses were patient with me as I kept rolling my eyes back and losing track of the green light. The only thing I was unaware of was that blood vessels could rupture after the procedure so I called hours after they closed and someone still picked up and eased my concerns. The next day, they tested my vision and I was at a 20/15 which is better than perfect vision. They too assured me that the blood spots were completely normal and they’d go away within a couple of days. Overall I am extremely pleased & extremely grateful! No doubt, I recommend this place!

I've never seen another establishment with higher reviews both on Google and Yelp, and it's for good reason: LasikPlus has the best customer service and provides a life changing opportunity. Every single person here has been patient, kind, and positive, especially Dr. O and Ariana. I decided to do Lasik, and specifically at LasikPlus, after my consultation with Dr. O. I was nervous that I would need PRK because of my high numbers (-6.5R, -8L), but Dr. O shared that she had similar vision but was getting lasik the next day. This made me feel more confident in the surgeons, who confirmed that I was eligible for lasik. I did get another consultation where they confirmed this as well, but LasikPlus offered a much better deal and had better service. The day of takes time because they're going through a number of patients, but bring something soothing to listen to while you wait. Right before my operation, I got extremely nervous, but everyone was very understanding and comforting. The actual procedure was painless and honestly not as bad as I expected, and the best part is being able to see more clearly without glasses IMMEDIATELY. I was on the fence about lasik for a while because I don't mind wearing glasses and contacts. But it is truly life changing to experience seeing clearly without any assistance. It's definitely a financial commitment, but it is well worth it, especially at LasikPlus where you know you'll get the best service.

Where do I begin? I went in for my consultation in early July, not expecting to schedule a surgery appointment at all. It was my first time visiting a LASIK center and I expected to shop around. When I arrived at LasikPlus Brooklyn, I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the office and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was nice, patient, and answered all the questions I had. They also had a discount for my insurance provider, which was a super plus. I ended up scheduling my appointment for July 13, 2017. When I arrived for my appointment, I was slightly nervous but I felt at ease because I knew I was in good hands. The optometrist checked my eyes again, I was given Valium to relax, and I was good to go. The surgeon, Dr. Fleishman, was gentle and patient and answered my additional questions. The procedure only took about 8 minutes, tops. Afterward, I had to wear the protective shades and it was painful to open my eyes, but I could already notice the improvement in my vision. As directed, I went home and closed my eyes for 3 hours and when I woke up the pain in my eyes was gone. They were still red and swollen and felt a little grainy. When I woke up the next morning my eyes were still red but felt much better. When I used the first round of eyedrops of the day, the redness went away. I was able to drive myself to my follow up appointment, where I got examined and they found that my vision was now 20/15 (better than 20/20). If you're thinking about getting LASIK, DO IT!! I know everyone says it, but I'm almost upset that I waited this long. I still can't believe that I don't have to rely on glasses and contacts anymore. LasikPlus has truly changed my life.

My experience with this place is 10/10. The staff is absolutely amazing and they make sure you are comfortable throughout every step. Since I am only 20 years old I did have questions about the surgery being that I am so young. They answered every question I had thoroughly making sure that I knew I was in safe hands. I went in for a consultation on Tuesday January 21st and had my surgery on Friday January 24th. When making my initial consultation I did not expect to get this done so soon, I thought I wasn't going to have it done until at least April but they worked out a payment plan for me and gave me a student discount and made everything more than convenient for me. I've read some reviews that complain this place takes long and you should expect to be here for hours but as soon as I finished my registration they took me right in. I did not have to wait long for any of my appointments. I now have 20/10 vision after getting lasik done from my original prescription of -5.00. I definitely do recommend having someone drive you home after the procedure as you'll be more comfortable than in an uber and you definitely do not want to find your way home alone as your eyes are very sensitive and burn. Overall, I had an amazing experience at the 14 Hope Street Lasik Plus location.

The procedure itself was less than 15 minutes! Highly recommend bringing someone to take you home though, as I would not have wanted to find my way back on my own. I had a very positive experience with my Lasik surgery. During my initial check up, Dr. Salonia was very helpful walking me through the process and answering all my questions. Vinton, the manager further explained the process, helped me schedule my appointment and work out a price that I was comfortable paying. On Friday I went in for the operation and again On the morning of th surgery, Dr. Salonia was helpful preparing me and Dr. Fleishman the surgeon was very precise and supportive. By the next morning most of the pain receded and my vision was better then I ever remember. I went in for a follow up on Sunday morning and my vision tested at 20/15 (better then 20 20). I am happy to recommend the Lasik Plus Brooklyn office. The staff was knowledgeable, respective and very attentive. The results were better than I expected.

Had an amazing experience at LasikPlus! I had my consultation on a Tuesday and had my surgery on Thursday of the same week. This center only preforms surgery on Thursdays and gives a discount for booking the same week, so plan accordingly! I also received a significant discount for being a teacher, which they will honor for any public service employee. The surgery was painless and quick— mine was about 60 seconds per eye. My prescription was -4.5 originally, and leaving my follow-up appointment, I now have 20/10 vision! Every person I encountered during my consultation, surgery and follow up appointment was knowledgeable, kind and very friendly. I would recommending this center to anyone looking to correct their vision.

My experience was great! Awesome staff and surgeon. I was comfortable especially when 2 of the staff members shared their experiences with me. I had the PRK procedure, which is a longer healing process but I feel that it was worth it. My advice would be for drivers. If you drive daily, you should plan ahead for a drive because it took me 1 week before I could confidently drive again. This office made my experience pleasant and calming! I love my new vision!

My experience was very scary and nerve wrecking, but my recovery was successful and awesome. I see 20/15 after the surgery, (had LASIK by the way). Even though I was very scared, the staff from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctor herself was caring, supportive and patient. They helped me along the whole way, making my experience as comfortable as possible. Even helped me get a cab home. I am thrilled with the results. I can see without glasses after wearing glasses since I was 7 years old and my vision was -6.50 one eye and -6.75 in the other. The place comes highly recommended. Get it done here! I am glad I did.

My procedure was quick and painless and I would do it a million times over for the great results I’ve gotten. My wife and I got Lasik in this place 1 month ago. I was -1000 degrees, and they were able to do it. Excluding the waiting time, the surgery itself is very quick, it took about 10 mins in the surgery room. And you will never need you glasses or contact lenses no more. For the first 2 weeks of recovering, my eyes doesn't feel good. I see halos and my vision is very bad at a dark environment. Doctors told me not to worry, it's a normal recovering situation, and it will get better. Now my eyes are much better. I can see pretty good and don't have any halos problem. My wife told me she didn't experienced what I had. Her eyes are good after the surgery. So I guess it really depends, nothing to complain. They give free consultation, and they check your eyes to make sure your eyes is doable or not. So I would definitely suggest at least you can come to check your eye and have a consultation.

I found this place while I was browsing online and after further research I decided to go in for a consultation. I have to say, the staff Is extremely professional and the environment is friendly and welcoming. I immediately booked an appointment for the following Thursday. They only do operations on Thursday but that wasn’t a big problem. During my initial operation I had bubbles that formed in my left eye which meant I had to come back the following week to complete it. The staff were extremely helpful and to be honest, waiting an extra week for a lifetime of perfect vision is worth it. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and I would recommend to anyone who is even thinking of doing lasik.

It was a life changing experience. The actual procedure didn’t hurt but the eye clamps were uncomfortable I was in the room for a total of 15 minutes but seconds under the laser. Recovery was not so bad but be expected to be very dry so make sure you use the drops religiously, no rubbing your eyes ever. The first day was the toughest vision was mostly blurry it was itchy burned a little but nothing a nap can’t fix Year update: still seeing 15/15 don’t regret it at all, was seeing halos around for the first couple months but not anymore, eyes rarely dry, no issues at all.

I had my lasik procedure done about a month and a half ago now and have been happy every day since! It was a little bit of a drive for me as the New Jersey offices weren’t opening but looking back I absolutely do not regret it! The doctors and staff at this office were all super kind and helpful. After the same day consultation with Dr. Salonia where she answered all questions I could think of I was happy and ready. The day of my surgery I arrived early in the morning so we could go through tests and get everything explained which they helped clear up any doubts and last minute questions I had! The procedure was done in the early afternoon and was faster then I had expected. I've never bothered writing a review before but I know Lasik surgery is a big deal and having as many opinions as possible can really help. The people at LasikPlus are incredibly helpful and polite. The free consultation was simple, and informative. They have someone ready to talk to you about pricing and how to pay, and theres no pressure to make the choice then. I'm a huge wimp so the actual surgery was terrifying. They were understanding and very positive. I even had my hand held during the surgery. Just the day after the surgery I could see at almost 20/20. I'm glad I got Lasik done and I'm glad I decided to do it with LasikPlus. Also they offer you a free shirt after your post-op check up and its got cats on it. Super cute.

I picked this place for the great service, modern technology that they specialize in (compared to other places that offer other vision services but lack this specialty), and price. 5 days ago I got the PRK procedure done at LasikPlus in Brooklyn. Went in for my consultation a few weeks before to see if I was a good candidate. The day of the procedure, the staff was very helpful and friendly as well Dr Fleishman (who did the procedure). They gave me Valium to help me relax, I guess to ease the anxiety. The procedure was literally about 10-15, maybe less. I guess, when someone consciously knows that there eyes are getting corrected you start to panic (well I did for about 5 secs) one of the female staffs handed be a stress ball to squeeze. I told myself to relax and I did. The Dr squeezed some cold liquid drops into each eye., that's all that you feel. A few seconds later, you can see the doctor using something to touch the corneas(again you don't feel it, you just see it). Then you focus on a green light. For a quick second you hear the sound of air being blown into your eyes(you don't feel that either), then more drops. When the procedure was done, I had temporary contacts(removed on day 5) placed in, to assist with the healing along with the medicated drops/blink tears following the procedure. For a few days, I've dealt with discomfort. It felt like eye lashes were in my eyes, but as long as I followed the instructions that I received, my vision was getting better and, I was able to keep the discomfort under control 90 percent of the time. I'm happy with my decision to do this procedure. As it was a huge step for me. But, I get more and more excited as I continue to see improvement. I wish the healing process was shorter, but within a few days and, day by day it gets better. I personally, needed a few days off. That was important to me. Do ask as many questions as you can to make sure its the right thing for you! :-)

The entire staff is very friendly and are always happy to answer any questions. They explain everything clearly in the first visit and the day of surgery. I was able to see clearly moments after the surgery.Though, I was sacred at first during the procedure I didn’t feel any pain though I knew someone was in my eye. I healed within days. The team at Lasik plus Brooklyn is extremely efficient, organized and supportive. From the moment I set my consultation appointment to post op, I felt supported. They were there to answer every single question I had, no matter how ridiculous. Even in the weeks between my consultation and surgery, they were just a phone call away and very accommodating. The procedure itself was kind of scary for me, but it felt like I was in and out. It wasn’t exactly the most relaxing and comfortable experience, but the team counted down different parts so I was aware of how much longer I had for each step. So I knew I was uncomfortable right now but I only had to endure 15 more seconds of this. Afterwards I felt somewhat disoriented (so definitely get someone to drive you home like they advise!). I asked for Valium so I took that afterward and fell asleep once I got home. I‘ve been too afraid to get Lasik for so long, but after 20 years of wearing contacts, I got sick of it. At my follow up appointment (just got Lasik under 24 hours ago) and I already have 20/15 vision! It’s incredible. I’ve had a terrible prescription for so long (close to -7 and astigmatism) and I woke up after my post-surgery nap and could see. Today is even better. I can see even better than I ever did with glasses or contacts for 20+ years. That said, I won’t lie to you, my eyes definitely hurt soon after the procedure for about 2-3 hours (stinging, lots of watering, sensitive to light), but I just followed the advice given, kept my eyes closed, and lied in bed with some music and the lights off. I didn’t think I could take a nap on command (I don’t really do naps), but I drifted off and about 3 hours after the surgery the pain was gone. Just some dry eye feeing that has gotten better every hour. All in all, what’s a few hours discomfort for a life changed? Already so worth it.

I came into LasikPlus for a Consultation on Thursday 11.7 with hopes of having the procedure done in the New Year and I ended up being scheduled for my procedure the following day. Super spontaneous of me as I am an over-thinker but I knew that if I thought too much I would back out! So, I waited a couple of months before making this review. First, I'd like to say that all the staff working there were knowledgeable, professional and nice. I had a pretty high prescription of astigmatism before, but, this lasik procedure was still able to correct my vision. I got the surgery near the beginning of winter, so my eyes were extra dry post-op. The first 4 hours after the surgery my eyes were burning so much I couldn't even take a nap but note that the effects of this vary from person to person. It was scary but worth it. The actual procedure was not exactly painful but there was pressure on my eyes that was uncomfortable. The day after the surgery I had already achieved 20/20 vision but my vision was shifting in and out because my brain and eyes were still trying to adjust. Now it's almost 2 months post op, and I'm still at 20/20 vision. I still see halos but they're decreasing and my night vision is getting better. The hardest part of the procedure for me was waiting for the surgery and the 4 hours afterwards. The most important thing to remember is that it's still a surgery and has its risks, and if you decide to do it, you should mentally prepare yourself for it. They say that my eyes are supposed to keep getting better up to the 6 month recovery mark (my vision is significantly better than before the surgery), so I'm looking forward to it.

There was a bit of a wait after my scheduled appointment time to be seen, but nothing too bad. The best part is now being able to wake up and see without glasses! Excellent Place, Welcoming Staff. The staff answered all questions and concerns that I had. The actual surgery took less than 10 minutes and was painless. Slight bit of discomfort but no pain. After The surgery following going home and napping for 2 hours I was immediately able to see clearer. My experience was awesome. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming, made me feel very comfortable and eased my anxiety. The doctor also was a very welcoming and nice person. The procedure was so quick, it felt as if it was over in a blink of an eye. My results were a success. After the procedure i experienced a little burning feeling like 10 minutes after the procedure but after getting home i slept for 5 hours and when i woke up it felt amazing to see so clear again. I have not experienced dryness, maybe due to using the drops every 30 minutes. But its feels overall amazing and I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone. From the day of my consultation to the day of the actual surgery the whole crew and doctor were awesome!!! Day of surgery waited a little over 2 hours but there were a ton of people getting their surgery done as well so it was expected but the adrenaline of getting it done made the time feel a lot less. This was my first time doing any kind of surgery and the team at LasikPlus was so warm and welcoming. I typically have a lot of anxiety when it comes to doctors and medical procedures. Before I got to the office i was so nervous & did not know what to expect. When I arrived at the location the staff was nice and assured me it's going to be okay. My consultation went great and then I was schedule for the surgery in a week. The day of the surgery i was nervous as hell.But again the staff was so nice and patient they told me to let them know when i was ready, and was by my side the whole time of the surgery. After the surgery that only took 10 mins the staff made sure somebody was driving me home. i had a great experience working with lasikplus. my vision is 20/15. The payment plans are feasible for any individual and you have the option for lifetime advantage plan that always guarantees perfect vision no matter what. I am still healing, but the results are almost instant. I have a red eye from the pressure applied during surgery but i’m confident that will clear in time (maybe 2-3 weeks after surgery). Trust lasikplus if you are interested in laser eye surgery. Glasses and contacts were never an option for me. Go this route, and you won’t regret it.

I can see why people give it 5 stars. Was always told that due to my astigmatism my prescription would never be better than 20/25. After the surgery I’m now at 20/20. Pretty amazing. Only suggestion would be if they give people aspirin right after the procedure because there is some pain and discomfort during the ride home. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Edit: It's been over a year since the procedure and I still can't believe I get to live with 20/10 vision everyday. I only have great things to say about my results. Original It has been about a month since I had my Lasik procedure and I am still amazed with the results. I highly recommend going to this LasikPlus location; the facilities were immaculate and the staff was awesome. I think the complaints here in the reviews about the wait time are way overblown. The staff at LasikPlus were very upfront with me that I would be waiting a while unless I showed up early. I was ok with waiting-- what else would I have scheduled on the day of my lasik procedure? I had -2.75 in both eyes and a slight astigmatism in one eye, which is apparently pretty routine for them. The procedure itself was quick and only mildly uncomfortable, and the slight momentary discomfort was so worth the amazing results. I had redness and dryness in both eyes for a couple of weeks after the procedure, but that's a common part of the recovery and it was quite tolerable with the eye drops LasikPlus gave me. Even though it's an expensive procedure (mine was $3500 after a discount) I would get Lasik again in a heartbeat, especially at this location. Dr. Fleischman, Dr.Salonian, and all the staff at LasikPlus were so fantastic and helpful through the whole process.

I had an excellent experience from my consultation to my post-op. Everyone was incredibly professional, patient and warm, which is especially important when involved in such a delicate and anxiety provoking experience. I felt 0% pressure to commit, which actually encouraged me to sign the contract because I had a completely different experience with a different Lasik surgeon (not LasikPlus). The consultation exam was more thorough than my annual eye exams. Vinton & Dr. Salonia run a tight yet fun ship. After the exam, I spoke with Vinton about pricing. He made the process easy and again didn't pressure me, which you don't have to - Lasik sells itself! Night before the operation the surgeon, Dr. Gabriels (Albany office) called me to introduce himself, answer any questions I had and just generally reassure me that the procedure would be uneventful. I thought this was so professional, thoughtful & unconventional in a great way! Procedure Day: Bring someone with you, or make sure they're there about 3hrs after your appointment time to drive you home. As other reviews have said, the wait is the longest part. On surgery day, there are usually about 30-35 patients, so be patient. I didn't really feel the wait because the staff were so friendly & chatty (in a good way). After you check in, you'll see Vinton for payment, then Dr. Salonia confirms your Rx (which she will do very patiently & extremely precisely), you'll wait to see the surgeon in the back. The door to the operating room has a glass insert so you can see those going before you (if that's your jazz). When you get in the room, the surgeon will double check your cornea & then you're on the first table where the flap is made. That'll put some max strength drops in your eyes, insert the device to hold your lids open, then you'll need to stay very straight, don't talk & look at the red dot. Before you know it, you'll be working on the next eye. Once the flaps are made, you'll move to the second laser (with assistance) where the actual Lasik is performed. Same applies - more numbing drops, no talking, hold still & look straight. The machine will make some noise (not a lot) & you'll briefly smell burning (which is actually the burning of your cornea), then the surgeon will lay your flap back down (imagine your eyes being a windshield & the device used to lay down your flap is the wiper wiping your flap back into place), a piece of gauze will be placed over the eye that was treated & then the surgeon repeats the process for the next. Once the 2nd eye is done, you'll be able to see. I was a little hazy, but I could definitely see. The procedure is painless, but if you're a person who usually needs a lot of novocaine at the dentist (like me), ask for extra drops when you lay down at the first table. They'll be generous! I think this is what helped with my recovery because I felt nothing the whole ride home (1.25 hours). Night of: when you get home, take a Tylenol PM, which they have at the center (or your relaxation supplement of choice) & take a nap. When you wake up, you'll still be able to see & even better. I found that I felt better with each nap. Recovery: everyone's different, but my recovery has been pretty easy. The worst discomfort was the night of & it really wasn't "pain" as much as it felt like I had slept in my daily contacts (i.e., very dry eyes), but I went back to sleep & let my body heal itself. If you're contemplating it, stop & do it. My procedure was 9/6/19 (I was -5.0 & -5.25). Today is 9/10/19 & I learned at my post-op that I have 20/15 vision (and I'm still recovering). My only regret: I didn't do it years ago!

Overall an amazing experience. Making the decision on a whim, I decided to give them a call once I saw my insurance partnered with them for a discount. The thought of having to spend another $600 for contact and glasses made me wince. The appointments are readily available and flexible and the same day I looked them up, I came in. They are very close to the subway if you take the L train, making commuting to them a breeze into a colorful neighborhood full of amazing murals. Felt very safe and the office had high tech security with a hip vibe to it. Once checked in, you can tell the overall atmosphere of the office was nothing like anything I have ever seen before. The decor was very cool, the color scheme in the office was very relaxing and the office looked very new. Even the bathrooms were fancy! Best of all was the staff, everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. Anxiety was not something present in this office, even the other patients were relaxed. This is largely due to the demeanor of the office who make their patients and their concerns first. Between the overall politeness and understanding, I knew this was a good choice. Easy financing, everything made clear with helpful videos and brochures and the state of the art equipment made this one of the best decisions I've made overall. The procedure was quick and the sensations were interesting. In less than ten minutes the procedure was done. It's still unreal to me, it feels like I still have my contacts on but I don't. After fifteen years of hoping to take control, I can say I finally did it with the help of the great people at LasikPlus at Brooklyn. Make sure that the day of surgery to bring a chaperone, you will need the help since your eyes will be sensitive once the procedure is done, but more importantly for the livestream of the whole thing for the snaps or FB live or whatever your social media heart desires. They have large TVs streaming the whole thing in real time. 20/15 stars since that is where my vision ended up after everything was said and done. The after care was great too! They give you everything you need and send your medicinal drops to your preferred pharmacy making everything easy and convenient. Its been 10 days already for me since the procedure and I couldn't be more grateful. If you were ever thinking about it, don't go to the places that advertise on the radio with the crazy dudes from mayor world. Go to a professional, clean looking, state of the art office with the friendliest staff, amazing doctors and get a cool shirt once you're done. Bonus points for the sunglasses, I am keeping those as my regulars.

My experience with LasikPlus was excellent from start to finish. My husband had his vision corrected here about 6 months before me and his experience and results were also great, but with a -7 prescription I was still skeptical that it would work for me. The free consultation was thorough, everyone was friendly and professional, and once I was cleared for it, they were able to schedule the procedure within a week. And on the day of, I was amazed to walk out with my vision restored within one hour of arriving at the clinic. Dr Jerreyll Jackson did the procedure and I’ll be forever grateful for it. Post-op, the burning in my eyes subsided in under two hours (I had expected much worse), and my vision has been getting clearer and clearer since then. I had a pleasant expierence, I was thoroughly examined and got the surgery a day after being evaluated, the process seemed effortless and the staff was friendly. I also got a goodie bag with sufficent supplies to recover and did I mention the evaluation was completely free. At a previous facility I got charged a 600$ consultion fee and the price of operation was double what i paid here at LasikPlus bk. I also liked that i was shown a video of the lasik procedure prior to my operation and the operation itself was preformed onsite through a glass door where my friend could see the whole procedure preformed.

I went there Friday July 12 for my surgery for distance correction Lasik wave light prior to this I wore glasses since I was maybe 10 or 11 I’m 24 and glasses free .i was so nervous my anxiety was out of control and who wouldn’t feel like that it’s our eyes and my first surgery ever but they made me feel so welcomed and loved the procedure was so quick and a lil scary because like I said it’s our eyes but I am so happy I did and now I have 20/15 vision ! I had Lasik Surgery at Lasik Plus 3 Days ago and I Highly recommend it. I had a free consultation in December and booked surgery day for the end of January. They checked out every single detail to make sure I would be a good candidate and they repeated some tests during surgery day because you can never be too sure! I was obviously a bit nervous as you never know what to expect (it's not like you get Lasik done every day!) but the staff guided me through every single detail on the procedure and also about what to expect post operation. The procedure it's pain-free, you will just feel a small pressure during the flap creation but I can guarantee you by the time you realize they are already moving to the next eye and then to the final step of the procedure. Overall the surgery lasted a couple of minutes and I walked out with a beautiful pair of black protective glasses (Will Smith in MIB kind of glasses! That's worth already a 5 star). A mild pain kicked in 10 minutes after the surgery but nothing a couple of Advil can't solve. I closed my eyes for about 4 hours and then started enjoying my first hours glasses-free! The day after went back for a check-up and so far I scored a 20/10 vision which, by all means, it's awesome. I've been researching about Lasik procedure for months and LasikPlus was definitely the right choice. Staff is amazing, Kind, Passionate about what they do and makes you feel at ease. Go for it if you want to be #coolerthanmilhouse !

As a farsighted person I was very frustrated dealing with having to put on my glasses just to read a text message, especially when I was on the go. Being a student made it rough because of the countless hours of studying while wearing glasses gave me bad headaches on a daily basis. I felt like my eyes were always strained and tired. I misplaced my glasses all the time since I only needed them to read, so I would set them down all over the place and forget where I put them. There were even times I left them home and didn't realize it until I got to work which led to me having a very difficult day not being able to read. There were many other activities that I struggled with because of this issue, and that's when I decided to look into Lasik. Although I wanted laser surgery really bad, I was very nervous about it. The first time I went to this center for a consultation, the staff was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable about making this decision. They thoroughly explain everything to you and it just feels like everyone there is there to help you. They all have awesome uplifting attitudes to the point that I enjoyed being there. The procedure was different than I anticipated but nonetheless I don't regret it one bit. My vision was already improving by the next day. The follow-up appointments were great because you can assess the progress of your vision, and I always left the center with a smile because of the great staff. If you're thinking about getting lasik, don't hesitate, this is the place to go!

Just had the lasik procedure yesterday and already seeing better than 20/20! No regrets! This was a life changing experience for me, for someone that has worn glasses for over 10 years. For me, as an architect the black framed glasses were part of my identity. 🤓 After breaking my glasses in the beginning of my trip in Spain I had to adjust and let me tell you, I felt relieved not having to rely on them even tho my eye sight wasnt great, I just liked not having to think about them all the time. So making the decision for the switch realy has to be thought out. Now, going through with Lasik Plus was a great decision! The process from the consultation to the procedure was smooth. I made my decision a week later. The staff are friendly and professionals. The procedure itself was a bit uncomfortable, I dont know any surgery that isn't. I am so glad that I chose LasikPlus for my second consultation, as they were so honest and thorough with my examination. The whole team is exceptionally patient and makes you feel very comfortable through the whole process. I went in last Monday for my consultation and scheduled my lasik for Friday. The procedure was quick, painless and today I got back from my follow up exam and I now have 20/20 vision! This facility is great. All the nurses, receptionists, doctors and surgeons are incredibly kind and helpful! I don't remember everyone's name but the nurse Bertha (I think?) was super sweet, the doctor with the electric blue eyeshadow was very kind and informative, and Dr. Jackson the surgeon made the process quick! I experienced more pain than I thought I would after the procedure- I recommend taking a pain killer as you're going in so it hits by the time you leave. My eyes are doing great- vision is perfect. I highly recommend this facility.

Thank you LasikPlus Brooklyn! I've worn glasses over 20 years & while always curious about doing the procedure, I only went in for a consultation this month (February 2019). After discovering I was eligible, I made an appointment for the procedure the following week. The surgery itself was easily under 10 minutes total. I am a very nervous person, also mildly claustrophobic, but the doctors, technicians, and staff helped me feel at ease with chocolate, a valium pill and stress balls! The folks here are all very personable and friendly. They understood and answered all my nervous questions. Although I didn't, you can have someone in the room for moral support. Immediately after surgery is the most uncomfortable part but I was prepped to understand every discomfort I could feel and post-op care. Just go take a nap! When I woke up, it was as if I hadnt any surgery at all with no remainung discomfort (although may vary per person). Thanks for a new life without glasses/contacts!

Yesterday I was blind and today I have 20/10 vision. The entire process was well organized, well communicated and the results have been excellent (so far). I’m still in recovery because it’s only been 24 hours but no pain, discomfort and better than perfect vision COME ON! Do note, the actual procedure is more uncomfortable than expected. It’s well worth doing but it’s not just a walk in the park, you’ll feel out of it after the surgery and you’ll 100% want to sleep... however if you’re like me then 5 hours later you’ll have perfect vision and no pain

Not going to lie, getting Lasik is super scary, but honestly, LasikPlus made it as easy and as comfortable as possible. I went to LasikPlus not really sure what to expect, but they really make it a point to show you and teach what's going to happen and what to expect every step of the way which makes it a lot less scary. I even went to a second consultation at another place and as soon as I walked to the other place I already knew i was going to go to LasikPlus to have my procedure done. Great place for lasik! The consultation was through and the procedure was efficient. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer all questions and the surgeon is great too. They have a reasonable price and offer custom lasik with the latest technology. What reassured me was they also included a lifetime guarantee. This was important to me and made me trust them and feel safe to know that I could come back for any issues without paying. The wait time was a little long and the surgery was a little uncomfortable but I got a Valium and it was quick and over before I knew it. I couldn't open my eyes in the car ride home as they were burning but by the time I got home it was fine and I could see well! It It was nothing unbearable and I didn't even have to take a pain killer. They supplied me with goggles and all the drops and vitamins to take. If you can deal with a little hassle it is well worth it to see clearly without glasses. At my follow up the next day I had 20/20 vision! The redness and discomfort will slowly go away and they said my vision will get even sharper with time. I really recommend this place if you're thinking about lasik! What a pleasant experience this was. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. On surgery day you should expect to wait about an hour or two. The surgery itself took a little over 10 minutes. There is some some burning, tearing and discomfort right after surgery but it'll subside as the hours go by. The pain mostly went away the next day. Not being blind without your glasses is pretty cool hah. Edit; if you're on the fence about getting the surgery, it's been a month since I got mine and all I can say is that it is extremely worth it especially since I had a really bad pre op prescription and astigmatism. I am now able to see 20/20 which is great!

Amazing! Went for my consultation Wednesday had my surgery the next day. They only do lasik on Thursday so that worked out great because I wanted it done immediately before I changed my mind. Process literally was 15 minutes tops. The hardest part was when the Dr was creating the flap, didnt hurt but it was a weird sensation. The laser portion was probably 15 seconds total. Once I stood up it was cloudy but I could see and read the signs walking to the car. The first hour and a half after the numbing drops wore off sucked. It feels like a mild burning sensation but I took a nap and when I woke up 3 hours later I was perfectly fine. I’ve had glasses since I was in 3rd grade so I’m still in amazement that I can see perfectly the day after my surgery. You wont regret it.

Great experience overall. I was pretty nervous before the procedure, and was there for about 2 hours but the procedure itself was only about 5-10 minutes. After the procedure, I went directly home and this was honestly the worst part. My eyes were burning and tearing a lot for about 3-4 hours. I couldn’t fall asleep at first but laid in bed with my eyes closed until I could finally fall asleep. When I woke up, my eyes were still stinging for a bit but felt much better. Came back the next day for my follow up appointment and now have 20/20 vision, so it was definitely worth it!

LasikPlus is the best!!!! I had bad vision since 2nd grade. I heard about Lasik 10years ago. It wasn’t around long enough in my opinion, for me to consider it and I thought it was pricey. I hated wearing glasses😤. Which might explain how reckless and careless I was with my glasses. I tried wearing contacts but couldn't keep my eye open to get them in, so there goes that. My vision was horrible and I had an astigmatism in my left eye. I spent $600plus on tricked out glasses. Getting them thinned out, anti glare, transitional and etc. All that and my glasses still was thick and made my eyes appear small and weird. The left eye was worse because it had more medicine. It looked like I had a wandering eye. A coworker shared her Lasik story with me. She did it 10years ago and she has 20/20 vision. Same 10 years I wasted squinting and wearing glasses. A great team. Dr. Fleishman is deft and experienced. Dr Salonia, who handled my consultation and all of my follow ups, is very sweet and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions with patience, the good ones and the crazy ones, and made me feel extremely comfortable. The procedure itself, though not the most fun experience I have ever had, is very quick and painless. Just a few hours later I was watching tv, able to see perfectly without my glasses. I just got the lasik done today at 12:15pm, it is now 3:45pm and after a good two hour nap I am starting to feel back to my normal self.. only I can see without my glasses or contacts!! Haha! There is lots of tearing, blurring, and some slight swelling for me but that's normal for the first day. I am keeping the sunglasses on all day and will be sleeping with them for the next few nights. This place makes you feel really comfortable from the phone call for information, the initial eye exam all the way to the follow up the next day after surgery. The process at Lasikplus Brooklyn was very fast and simple. I came in for a free consultation where they checked my eyes completely to make sure I was eligible for Lasik. After we discussed pricing, we set a day for the procedure which is only on Thursdays. On Thursday there were other people here for the same thing and everyone went in and out pretty fast. The ride home was the worst thing. My eyes were tearing a lot so I recommend brining a box of tissues with you. Once you get home, take a nap and when you wake up you will feel much better. My experience was GOOD in general, I am so excited that I have 20/15 vision already! So many thanks to LusikPlus!! This result worth everything of course, but I would like to point out a few suggestions that could still be improved and THINGS THAT I WISH I KNEW before the surgery. ////For LASIKPLUS: 1) stuff in general are super friendly but at my consultation day, one receptionist who attended me was quite rude, this gave me not very positive first impression..; 2) During the surgery, I expected there were be more detailed explanations or guidance for every step. It was really helpful hearing:'' 15seconds left, 10s, 5s..'' but it happened only once. And more encouragement during the procedure would be so much appreciated. 3) I wish I could feel or have more personal attention, there were moments that stuff were talking/laughing about different topics which is totally fine if one of them can keep communicating with the patient, since the patient is vulnerable and this will give a lot of support and make the process feel less longer. ////For YOU: 1)everybody is different, be prepared is the best. It's amazing once you see better, but it's still a surgery right? It depends how sensitive you are, everything was okay for me except when my eyes were being pushed/pressured to open and that was a bit painful and very uncomfortable. And I didn't know that I had to switch the machine and be opened my eyes twice 2) I am so grateful that the doctor told me that my1.5hour commute home will be the worth part, so I was mentally prepared; 3) Read all the instructions before the surgery, this was so important as it makes less worried because I learned that it's normal to feel this or that way; 4) Once anesthesia drops lose the effect, you will start to feel pain for 4-6 hours. In my case, it was right after I left the center, so make sure to have someone to drive home would be the best. I regret not bringing painkiller with me, I would recommend to have one before leaving. I wish I had water with me, since I couldn't stop tears falling from eyes and nose in the car, I felt extremely thirsty and wish I had water. But I am glad that I did have enough tissues. That all, hope this is helpful, GOOD LUCK!

I went in for a free consultation for LASIK and a staff member found retinal tears which has never been spotted before and needed to be treated prior to Lasik. Writing this review the day after my LASIK surgery: I've been crying tears of joy because I'm so incredibly grateful to have my eyes functioning at 20/15!!!! I've struggled with myopia for 85% of my life, so it's safe to say I had no idea what it felt like to see the world in HD without glasses or contacts...My only regret is not doing this sooner. I was also allowed to have my partner there during the operation, which was incredibly comforting as well. If you're on the fence about getting LASIK done...My recommendation is "go for it!!" I came here two weeks ago for a consultation and after a week decided to go through with the procedure. This places seems really clean and modern which reassured me from the start. My consultation was quick and I was determined to be a candidate. A week later I came to get the procedure done. The numbing agent made it painless until about fifteen minutes after. They warn you of the pain after the procedure so while it was excruciating, it was expected. So far, my vision is better than it was with contacts and glasses and I’m only a couple days in. I see halos around bright lights but have seen that this is normal and will subside. Overall, my experience so far has been great and I even got a discount for being a teacher!

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and welcoming. Getting Laser Eye Surgery has been something I wanted to get done for such a long time. (It even feels surreal now that I actually did it and don't have to wear glasses anymore) I occasionally find myself trying to either remove invisible glasses or push up invisible glasses, because I'm still not used to having good vision without glasses. I currently have 20/15 Vision. (Which is better than 20/20) I wanted to wait at least a month before I left a review so I can go over all the steps with you: 1. Qualify for Lasik: They make sure you qualify and are a safe candidate for the procedure, if you aren't they will flat out tell you, no messing around. 2. Paying: They take EyeMed Vision Insurance, saved me a fortune! 3. Day of Procedure: Just don't be nervous and try your best! This part I doubt anyone writes about on their reviews, but when you begin the procedure you lay on a gurney that pivots between the machines. They need to clamp your eyelids open (Temporary Mild discomfort, 3/10) But they give you numbing eye drops beforehand and Valium to ease your nerves. The first machine looks like a big microscope that shines a ridiculously bright white light into your eye, then after they rotate you into the 2nd microscope machine which you have to focus on a green cloud while the background is black (this is where the lasers do their work) it's very important to try your best on focusing on the green cloud. (I felt like I personally didn't do that good in focusing on the green cloud, but I still have great vision 1 month later) They will do this to each eye, respectively. 4. After the procedure: I noticed the prior patients I saw walking out normal, I felt sickly afterwards. (Probably due to the Valium since I NEVER take any kind of drugs) My mother helped me get to a Taxi and go home, the first day my mom helped with feeding me and my eyes couldn't really open without tears rolling down immediately and needing to close them. They give you shades which you must wear for 3 days at least. 5. The 2nd day: 1 day post follow-up, I felt much better, at 95% vision. 6. 1 month later: I feel great! (It is important to take the eye drops and pills regimen strictly after the procedure; Anti-Inflammatory/Anti-Biotic/Eye Lubricating/Eye Dryness Relief Pills) The staff will absolutely walk you through on what to do and how it works. I know it seems like a lot and somewhat intimidating, but trust me I did it, so can you! Final Thoughts: Was well worth the money I paid, glad I finally got it done and don't need to deal with looking for my glasses when I wake up, foggy glasses when I exercise/wear scarfs, regularly cleaning my glasses due to smudges, and I can finally wear shades and see at the same time. 10/10, would do again.

If you are ever searching for a facility where to correct your vision this is the place to go. The staff is incredible! They all made the experience so seamless and pleasant. I opted for Lasik, instead of PRK. The procedure lasted roughly about 30 mins. Anxiety came more from fear of not knowing what was happened on my eyes, versus actual pain. The most you feel is strong pressure as the doctor is working. I slept it off for about 6 hours and woke up able to see clearly. The next day I went back in for a check up; 20-15 in one eye and 20-20 in the other. By day 30 I had 20-15 vision on both so it definitely got better through time. I highly recommend this clinic. Impeccable work by Dr. Fleishman. Couldn't not have wished for a better facility for a life changing decision like this one.

I had Lasik surgery yesterday and my vision today is 20/20. Short overview: I am extremely happy so far and I would highly recommend LasikPlus Brooklyn to others. The staff is very professional. My experience was great and my personal recovery for the last 24 hours has been fantastic. Longer version: Consultation experiences: I went to 3 different places to get my free consultations. Manhattan Lasik Center has more of a Spa/Retreat consultation experience. I was able to speak with several people that had the surgery (very helpful), I met the surgeon, and the staff was professional. TLC Manhattan was more of a corporate experience. The place is a bit darker and the experience was quick and to the point. Met an eye doctor but did not speak with patients or with the surgeon. LasikPlus has a very clean and bright office. They typically perform surgeries on Thursdays so I was not able to speak with patients and I did not met the surgeon. None of the places were pushy when it came to closing the sale. I decided a week later. All were positive experiences. About Lasik Machines: I am not an expert in the machines, but all of them were made from multinational corporations which made me more confident. The eye surgery is done in 2 parts. They need to create a flap and then correct your eye. Manhattan Lasik Center has the Zeiss machine which they say you don't experience any black out and that machine performs both the flap and eye correction. They are quick to tell you it's the Rolls Royce of lasers. The other two places have two seperate machines, which means that you lay down to get the first part done by one machine then you take 3 steps to lay down to get the other procedure done by the other machine. They have the Alcon FS200 & Alcon EX500. About surgery: I met with Dr. Jessica Fleishman on the day of surgery. She has performed over 40,000 procedures. I had met with Dr. Beth Salonia previously to make sure I was eligible. Both were very kind and professional. The experience is a bit surreal. In the first machine they put something on your eyes to keep it open. It goes by fast. In the first machine you do not see for a bit, maybe 15 to 30 seconds at most. Not a big deal. It's as if you close your eyes. After the first machine you can see but it's cloudy. Someone holds your hand to lay down on the second machine. With this machine you get to see what is happening. What you see are lights and you are told to look at the green light. The doctor told me to look straight which was not as easy for me. There are lots of lights and I couldn't get a good sense of where I was looking at. The great thing is that the machine only performs when you are looking straight. I was told afterward that I did a great job. The whole thing is over before you know it. Maybe 5 minutes of actually laying down. 15 minutes in the room. I felt no pain. After surgery: I took a taxi home. I slept as I was given medicine to sleep after surgery. People have different experiences. I had a lot of tears coming down my eyes. No burning or itching for me, which was great. Once I got home I knocked out for a few hours. When I woke up I had food then went back to bed. The next day my eyes felt bruised, but no pain. Overall I think I had it easy. My eyes did tear a lot and I did see cloudy in the morning. But by the afternoon when I had my follow-up doctor's appointment I was seeing great. I took an eye exam and was told that I have 20/20 which is awesome. I ended up picking LasikPlus because they had all positive reviews, the doctor performed the surgery thousands of times, the machines are great, the location is close to my home, and the price was much more favorable. The only negative thing I would say about LasikPlus Brooklyn is that I wish I would have met the surgeon during my consultation. It would have made me feel more confident and I probably would have made my decision sooner. Thank you LasikPlus Brooklyn for giving me 20/20 eye vision!

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and caring, the procedure took less than 5 minutes and the staff was supportive through the whole pre and post period. Not going to lie it was super stressful having my eyes worked on, but the cool thing is their Facebook page has videos of the entire process with different people so you can get a taste for what it’s like. I felt fine for the first 20 minutes after the procedure - vision was blurry still, then the ‘burning’ sensation and pain set in which lasted for 3 hours or so, tried to keep my eyes closed for most of this. When my vision started coming in it was super amazing to experience. My follow up the next day set my vision at 20/15 which is wild because I was at worse than 20/400 before. Highly recommmend the procedure (if a bit nerve wracking - totally worth it) and I highly recommend this facility, Dr. Fleishman was very professional and exact, and the support staff was integral to a very positive experience.

I went in with -5 yesterday and today I have 20/15!!! I really didn't expect such awesome results. Luckily I was a perfect candidate for Lasik. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. The procedure itself only took a few minutes and there was no pain or discomfort(don't worry!). The next few hours were definitely a struggle though lol; I experienced watery eyes, runny nose, sensitivity, tingling, and it was tough to sleep, and hard to keep my eyes open - This is all disclosed ahead of time as temporary side effects. After finally getting in a couple of hours of sleep, I felt much better, and when I woke up this morning I felt almost 100% and can see great!!! The consultation is free so there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't go for that at least. I can't recommend this enough. It's probably one of the best decisions you can make, and it's not even expensive. Not to mention, how can you argue with flawless 5 star reviews? Don't even waste time shopping around. After the procedure had some burning in my eyes and lots of tears, however going straight home and having a nap is the best thing you can do after the surgery. I had PRK surgery on a Friday. It was recommended instead of LASIK because of my corneal scars from abusing my contact lenses. They warned me that I would be in a good deal of pain over the weekend, which I was. But I followed their instructions by Monday, I made it through the pain and my vision is way better than it was when I had glasses or contacts! It’s only been 4 days, and I’m already seeing at 20/15! My eyes healed perfectly i now have 20/25 vision and its still getting better. The week of healing was not that bad at all, my eyes were just really sensitive to light. The third night was the worst night, my eyes were burning but once i fell asleep and woke up the pain went away. LASIK was the best decision (2 days post/op), it is very intimidating, and scary but totally worth it. It is totally painless procedure until about 10 mins post and then your eyes feel gritty, watery, and burn. Took a nap and felt fine afterwards. Laser vision center in BK was great. Just recently got my Lasik done at Lasik plus. Overall, the consultation process was very seamless & they told me I was a candidate so I booked my appointment on the spot. On the day of the appointment, I came prepared with my paperwork done and had to wait 1 hour in the waiting room. I was told that I was given information regarding the length of the procedure and that I should block 2 hours. I still was irritated that I had to wait and when I asked "Why did I book an appointment to sit for 1 hour, I was told "Oh it's first come first serve". What is the point of the appointment process if it's first come first serve. The procedure was done in minutes, I just wish I did not have to wait mindlessly in the waiting room and they were more efficient with their scheduling. Also, I understand their laid back vibe was designed to decrease patients anxiety about the process but I wish they would have given a little more heads up about the pain. After the procedure, it did not just feel like sand in your eyes, it was far worse & extremely painful. I've had others tell me they were given Xanax or Vallium in order to sleep immediately after the procedure and boy would that have been nice. I laid in bed in pain until I was able to fall asleep. I woke up the next day to perfect vision so no complains on that department. Overall, I would recommend Lasik Plus, I just think they need to improve on their scheduling/waiting time and consider giving their patients some some of drug to aid them in the post procedure sleep.

I had a great experience at Lasik Plus BK two days ago. Staff is very friendly & professional! The lasik procedure itself wasn't bad at all, its fairly quick(I think I was only in the procedure room for about 10 mins) and they give you Valium to help you sleep after/relax you. The next few hours are uncomfortable for sure- just sleep it off. I woke up the next morning feeling fantastic and I could see so clearly already! So worth it-my only regret is not doing this sooner!

My experience with LasikPlus has been amazing. From friendly staff to state of the art center and physicians, I knew I was in the right hand the minute I came in. With complete honesty, I was so nervous about the procedure but they ensure me that everything will be fine and it was. The day of my procedure, they gave me a Valium to keep me calm. Silly me I forgot to take it! I recommend taking it at least 20 mins before you go in. It will help you tremendously. When I got in there, I was so scared but the physicians was able to soothe me and gave me stress balls to hold while I got through the procedure, one even told me that she was in my position before and to not worry at all. I was immediately calmed and got through the surgery which took less than 10 mins. The minute it was done, I cried. Being able to see and having gone through a surgery that gave me so much anxiety, it validated that I did the right thing and with the right people. I woke up today (day after surgery) and I have 20/15 vision! They said it’s only 85% recovery. Wow! Can you imagine that I’ve been wearing glasses all my life and now I have better than 20/20 vision? It is truly incredible and I highly recommend Lasikplus Brooklyn. If you have any hesitation, there’s no reason to. It will change your life and the staff here are the perfect people to help you through it.

Lasik is incredible, and Dr. Fleischman is an excellent surgeon. Your eyes will probably sting for a few hours but after that it’ll be amazing. I’m actually able to see and use my eyes in a way that I forgot I was even able to! Still relearning how to focus my eyes naturally but it’s a cool process and I was able to see just fine a few hours later so I didn’t miss work the next day.

This is my review from September 29th when I went. First off, a million thank you's to the entire staff at LasikPlus Brooklyn. Last Thursday I came in for a consultation because I was seriously contemplating finally getting Lasik done. Well the staff was so great I almost did it that same day but I held off until yesterday because I had a wedding to attend that weekend and you can't wear makeup after lasik for 1 week! So, I postponed until the following week. I'm not sure about everyone else's experience but I was more excited than scared or nervous. I honestly don't remember a time in my life where I didn't wear glasses. Anyhow, the staff was wonderful at providing me all the information and answers to any of my questions and concerns. On the day of we went over any last questions I had and we were good to go. I'm not sure I needed it since I was so hype from excitement but they provided a Valium to take away any nervousness I may have had. So the procedure itself was so quick I was surprised at how quick. The numbing eye drops they put in made everything a piece of cake. I was amused at the "happy balls" they gave me (stress balls) and found myself squeezing them during the first half of the procedure when my eyes were being held open. There was slight discomfort more so pressure but after that half all was fine. I did have blurriness before moving over to the laser machine which made me freak inside for a moment since I couldn't see during that quick shift. Everything was super blurry at that point. Once at the laser machine, focusing hard on the green dot and letting the Dr. And the laser do it's job we were done so quickly I was shocked. My only yuck moment was the laser as the smell it gave off was something like burning hair but a bit stronger. Hold your breath if it grosses you out. I did! Slight to almost no discomfort at that point. We were done and I sat up to see hazy but seeing! Getting home as quickly as possible is key because the numbing drops wore off and I was in pain. 2 advils and I napped for 3 hours waking up with no more pain in my eyes. I could see!! The feeling of sight is wonderful beyond words. I am so thankful!! After sleeping with the glasses they provide and waking up the next day I was without words. For a moment I forgot that the protective glasses weren't my old glasses and I could actually see so clearly!! I went for my followup this morning and I'm 20/15 from a -6.00!! Crazy right! I am beyond thankful for the amazing experience everyone at LasikPlus Brooklyn gave me. If you're thinking about it, DO IT!! I'm typing this from work a day after if that tells you how great of a life changing experience it can be. The gift of sight!

Highly highly highly recomend this facility!!! I had terrible vision. I could see 20/450 with an astigmatism. I can now see 20/10 the best possible vision with no astigmatism. My vision was corrected in less that 20 minutes... It seems unreal. Aside from the procedure, the staff is amazing and super friendly. Only advice is to bring pain meds with you on operation day. Take them right after your procedure.

My vision was very bad that if I didn’t have my glasses or contacts on I wouldn’t be able to see anything around me be side shadows. The procedure was fast and painless they pain you will feel it on the day after but that pain is worth because I was able to see right away with it my glasses and I know my vision will get better as well my pain will go away a few days later but like I said it’s all worth it I highly recommend them. Outstanding results & amazing staff! I have been waiting to do this for 20+ years but my eye sight continued to fluctuate throughout my 20s and then I had kids which was another reason to wait as eyes can change during pregnancy... once stable, I finally decided to make the leap! So glad I did... having -5.5 in one eye and -5.00 with -3.00 astigmatism in the other was crazy! If I dropped soap in the shower, I couldn’t see it and had to feel around for it... and the morning after the procedure I woke up and could see the rain drops outside my window! It’s certainly life changing. The procedure was painless, first 4-5 hrs after were a bit uncomfortable due to pain drops wearing off - I felt stinging in the eyes as if I got shampoo in them... but tried to ignore it and with a couple ibuprofens and a nap, the stinging subsided :) I’m now 20/15 (which is better than 20/20!) and couldn’t be happier! Thank you to the wonderful staff especially Dr. Salonica & Dr. Fleishman who were extremely helpful on this short journey!!

If you are considering laser surgery I'd recommend coming in here. Friendly service and all your questions answered. I came in for the consultation only two weeks ago and I had my surgery done yesterday. Now I have 20/15 vision. I was a bad prescription with astigmatism and myopia. I could read the time on the wall clock straight away after the procedure. It was also a painless experience. Yes a little discomfort, and my eyes teared alot, but I had no burning and just slept and kept resting in a dark room with a podcast for the few hours afterwards.

Had a great experience with team at Brooklyn office. Went for Lasik Surgery and I have no complaints. Everyone was a professional and very helpful. Being a first timer for the operation, they really helped me with the details about what to expect. One thing which I really loved was that they did not make any false promises. Dr Salonia, Erica and Winton were really helpful in making the whole experience really comfortable for me. Dr Fleishman was the one who operated on me and was calm and composed throughout the procedure. It took 15 mins in total and I had a pair of new eyes. I would rate my LASIK procedure more than 5 stars if I could. I had been wearing contacts for 15 years and glasses on and off. I started getting migrains a year ago from wearing either after a couple of hours at a time, so I decided LASIK will help alleviate symptoms. The staff was very professional and walked me through the procedure thoroughly before I decided to go through with it. I got the lasik wavelight procedure. For those interested about the procedure itself, the surgery was at most 10 minutes. I had little to no discomfort, they give Valium and local anesthetic before the surgery. I wish I could give Dr.Fleishman, Dr.Salonia, and everybody from LasikPlus Brooklyn location a thousand stars rating! They truly care about every single patient from the moment you walk in into the office. Let me share my PRK experience as it might help somebody deciding on the procedure. I have been thinking about the procedure for several years, but honestly was always scared. I came to a point that my contact lenses would give me a constant discomfort and this is how I decided that the time has come. I did a thorough research online and fell in love with LasikPlus Brooklyn office the second I went in. My initial consultation revealed that I have a thin cornea and I am a candidate for PRK, not a Lasik procedure. Doctor explained me the procedure in details, she said that it usually takes a bit longer to heal, and answered all my questions. The procedure was performed on Thursday afternoon and Dr.Fleishman is the best doctor, honestly! She is very attentive and caring. The total healing time was 2.5 days, from which 6 to 7 hours were quite painful (the next day after the procedure from around 5 pm until falling asleep). After that, it gets only better. Several hours of pain for the opportunity to see again without lenses and glasses- it is so definitely worth it. I wish I could have done the procedure earlier, much earlier. And LasikPlus Brooklyn office is the best decision you could make for your eyes!!! They are simply the best!!!

I visited 4 different LASIK centers around Manhattan before finally finding a good fit with LasikPlus. All the other centers had something off about it- cars salesman gimmicks, staff unprofessionalism, or LASIK factory feels. From the initial consultation to the financing portion to surgery day, I was comfortable with the wonderful staff, awesome doctors, clean office, and overall chill, laidback feel. My consultation was on Friday and I got surgery the very next Thursday. This didn’t factor into my decision at all, since I believe you shouldn’t cheap out on surgery for any body part but they were the cheapest (I did get a teacher discount and a booking same week discount). The final price included all the meds and drops, which other centers did not.

Today is day 5 since my surgery and everything is great so far. No halos, glares, whatsoever. It's a wonderful feeling to wake up every morning and see clearly right away! Day of surgery - The procedure itself took less than 10 minutes. As soon as I got out of surgery, I took Advil PM and let myself doze off on our way home. There is definitely a bit of a burning sensation after and a feeling like there is eyelash in my eye, so I just kept my eyes closed, tried not to move my eyeballs as much and went to sleep. 3 hours later and the burning sensation is gone! (Doc said it's typically 4-6 hours for most people). It truly wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be. Absolutely worth it. The staff at LasikPlus in Brooklyn are all great. Special shoutout to Dr. Fleishman, who is my surgeon. She and her staff are all very competent, attentive and friendly. They made my pre-op, day of, and post-op like a walk in the park (on a very CLEAR day). Thank you!

Highly recommend!! Staff is excellent and my entire experience was great. It was definitely worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. During my consultation I was told that I was a candidate for PRK, rather than traditional Lasik, due to dry eye symptoms. I was a bit hesitant, but they assured me that I was in good hands. It has been 4 days since my surgery and I am already noticing amazing results! The procedure was very simple and painless. The first couple of days were uncomfortable (mix of burning sensation, dry eye, tearing), but nothing unmanageable. PRK will take a bit longer than Lasik to achieve 20/20 vision, but do not be alarmed if PRK is your recommended procedure.. it is very safe!

Dr. Fleishman and her staff are wonderful. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the procedure and what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Solania was also fantastic explaining the process and steps for care after the procedure and put me at ease. The price is a bit above average, but well worth it. The actual procedure is very short, but unnerving. Dr. Fleishman is great at keeping you calm through it and she does a fantastic job. Your eyes will start hurting a little bit after the procedure, so definitely have someone with you to help bring you home and go right to bed if you can. By the next day I had no pain and could see 20/15 with only slight haziness around bright lights and went back to work with no problem. Very glad I did this!

I had my consultation on Friday, November 16th, 2018 and my procedure on Thursday, December 6th, 2018. I had a great experience overall with Lasik Plus in Brooklyn. I came in to my consultation very on-the-fence. I knew that this procedure would be beneficial but it seemed too risky to me, especially since I didn't mind wearing contacts and glasses. Any doubts I had were immediately assuaged by the staff. After all, they do this for a living and people get it done every week! Just an FYI. when you come in for your consultation, you save an extra few hundred bucks if you do the procedure within 2 weeks. Because of the Thanksgiving holidays, I was given 3 weeks with the same deal. Since Lasik is so expensive, this is a very good motivator to do it quickly. I was nervous on they day of the procedure. Though my nerves didn't get any better, it all happened very quickly and I was out of there before I knew it. Some things I wish I had known: 1. The actual procedure part happens in less than 10 minutes. You walk into the room and have 3 things to do: have the doctor look at your eyes for a few seconds, go under one machines that makes the flap, and then under another machine that is the laser. It happened so fast for me that I almost had whiplash. Mentally prepare yourself beforehand, you won't have time in the room! 2. Though you don't have to have a friend/family member with you, you are going to want one. Your vision will be cloudy directly after the procedure and your eyes watery, slightly swollen, and uncomfortable. I took an Uber and was told I would be more comfortable with my eyes close. However, that meant I couldn't gage where I was and whether there was a lot of traffic.The ride was about 35 min but it felt like 4 hours. It would have been so much more helpful to have a person talking me though the trip, distracting me from the discomfort. Also, you still have to navigate your way into your apartment and get ready for your nap. Having a person who's vision was 100% would have made this so much easier. 3. Though I felt no actual pain, the procedure and the recovery for the first 4 hours after are UNCOMFORTABLE to say the least. I had a really hard time opening my eyes and they watered very badly. The nap is important but is not going to be a good nap because the numbing drops are wearing off and your eyes will begin to sting. 4. Your vision will improve throughout the day. I felt that the line between "I'm uncomfortable" and "Oh wow, this worked so well I'm fine" was really thin. I felt my vision wasn't good enough to do anything substantial until all of the sudden, it was! 5. This procedure is pretty magical. I had supremely bad vision, -7 in both eyes. It is 1,000% worth the uncomfortableness and money.

The staff was so welcoming and reassuring I booked my appointment for April 19. It is one day post op and I am ecstatic. Waking up being able to see my clock across my room was something I cant remember being able to do. Yesterday was definitely uncomfortable because of burning and just feeling like I have a lash stuck in my eye. Today is nothing like that! I always wanted to get LASIK. It was the end of 2017 and I definitely knew it was time. I researched different doctors and found LASIK Plus (brooklyn) I've been wearing glasses it feels like forever. Glasses were especially annoying since I'm a dancer and the on going of putting your glasses on and taking it off to perform was upsetting. I hated them but needed it to see. I tried contact lenses, and that was a fail because I couldn't put my fingers in my eyes. I went in for my surgery yesterday January 4th and went forward with the PRK procedure. I didn't feel a thing except for slight pressure which was temporary, in a few minutes my eyes were perfect, a little blurry from the procedure. Today Is my post op appointment and I can now see 20/20 a bit blurry from the healing, but never thought I'd see this clear in my life and it's only going to get better.. The best desicion I've ever made in my life.

I definitely had a wonderful experience with LasikPlus. I’m giving 4 stars only because I went into my free consultation thinking I was going to get $250 lasik as I saw on the commercial. It turned out to be a lot more expensive than that. They do have $250 lasik, but you have to be a VERY specific candidate. The procedure only took 7 minutes. It was a tad uncomfortable. I was blown away by how painless the procedure was. I could definitely smell the laser burning some flesh, not unlike some dental procedures. But this was very quick and painless. They prepared me very well for what I was going to feel afterwards. After 10 minutes it started to sting and it was difficult to open my eyes. I was fine to call an Uber and ride home alone. I told the driver to let me know when we got close to home because I kept my eyes shut. I definitely recommend you give yourself 3-4 hours of rest/nap after. I had only got about 90 minutes before my wife had to go to work and I was on toddler duty. I was fine, but if I had gotten more rest, I would’ve been a lot more comfortable. I’m 3 days out, and I’m blown away at how awesome this is! I see better than I ever did with glasses/contacts. I have some dryness and at times I feel like I’m still wearing contacts. I even had some phantom limb moments when I went to push up my glasses, and realized they weren’t there! It’s getting better everyday. I have some red spots on my eyes, but that will decrease. Overall, I just can’t believe I’ve tolerated wearing glasses for so long, when a cure was literally minutes away! You’ll be so happy!!

I went in on a Thursday with my sister for a simple consultation and while they were running tests, Bertha told me that ironically it was surgery day and if I was all clear that I could do the Lasik surgery that day if I wanted to. And on a complete whim I decided to do it! I’ve worn glasses everyday since I was 9 years old and I have never worn contacts because I don’t like touching my eyes so you can imagine how nervous I was. But the more I talked to the doctors (and even the staff who had the done surgery before), they eased my nerves and actually made me really excited. During the surgery Dr. Fleishman told me everything she was doing as she was doing it which was personally very comforting. Some parts felt a little odd and in the beginning there’s some pressure. They give you stress balls to hold and I grabbed them in those moments. Her and her assistant switch you over to a second table and that’s where all the magic happens! At the end I sat up and things looked a little cloudy but I could see. It all happened so quickly and so smoothly. I was told in great detail what I would feel when I went home so I wasn’t alarmed when I did actually feel those things. The entire lasik process was incredibly seamless at LasikPlus. I came in for a consultation at the end of November and worked with the staff to line up a procedure date that aligned with my work schedule where I was able to come in during the Christmas/New Year’s slowdown at work. Consultation – This is a fairly simple process that is free of cost & can likely sub in for your yearly annual eye exam. (I made the mistake of getting my annual checkup, paying the fee for contact lenses fitting and then never needing any of it.) At the consultation you’ll meet with Dr. Salonia & other staff, who check your eyes and determine that you’re a lasik candidate, confirm your prescription and answer any questions. The staff is eager to get you scheduled for lasik ASAP, but it’s YOUR choice when you wish to have the procedure done, so be open and honest with them and they will work around your timeline. In between being seen by Dr. Salonia and the other staffers, you will meet with Vinton who walks you through the financial portion of the procedure. Lasik is an elective surgery and will not be covered by your insurance, however, depending on your eye insurance, you may get a discounted rate. EyeMed offered me savings of $800+ for the procedure, bringing my all in cost to ~$3800. Procedure Day – Today’s the day and you’re likely nervous, but there is no reason to be! You can expect to be at the office for about 2.5 hours, beginning with an eye exam & confirmation of the prescription to be applied to your eyes. You’ll sit back down with Vinton who will confirm the price & how you want to pay (including multiple credit cards if you choose to do so!) He’ll also give you your goody bag full of eye drops & oral Vitamins. After this, you’ll meet with Dr. Fleishman who confirms that everything looks right & she’ll advise you to take your valium as you’re escorted back into the waiting room. The nerves will likely start racking up, but it will be over soon… You’ll finally get called into the procedure room about 2 hours after arriving at Lasik Plus and Dr. Fleishman will walk you through the next steps. You will see some bright lights & feel a bit of pressure on your eye, but for the most part, the procedure itself was not painful. After about 5-10 minutes in the procedure room, you’re done!! Though the staff at LasikPlus says taking a cab home is fine, I would have preferred having a friend to take me home. Quickly following the procedure my eyes started hurting & I swallowed a lot of Advil to ease the pain. From speaking with other friends who had lasik, I think my eye pain was on the abnormally high end of the spectrum, but it was still quite manageable. I had about 2 hours of severe eye pain, light sensitivity & non-stop tearing & blurriness to the eyes. However, after a nice rest in complete dark, I was able to eat a nice meal 2 hours later & felt significantly better. Waking Up- This is when the magic happens! Yesterday you complained about the eye pain & thought, “OMG will I go blind?!” and today you wake up thinking “OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE I’M NOT WEARING CONTACTS.” THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Yeah I said that… even with all the pain I felt the day before (and the insistence to my boyfriend that he should NOT do it because it was painful), I was singing the praises of lasik 12 hours later. Following my next day checkup I was told my vision is now 20/15 and I’m looking forward to hearing more positive news at my one month procedure. TL;DR LasikPlus will treat you right, they have their act together & will get you in and out quickly and seamlessly. The procedure costs roughly $4000. Slight pain following the procedure, you should have someone take you home & you’ll have perfect vision the next day. What are you waiting for? Go for your consultation now!!

I had very high prescription before, and I chose the PRK instead of Lasik after done with all the researches. Then I had my surgery on Thursday, I can see right after the surgery, but the burning feeling started 1 hour after the surgery too. The first 3 days were terrifying me a lot, I thought I might go blink, i barely can open my eyes, so I called the front desk there was a gentleman who had PRK too, he comforted me and told me that everything will be fine, he had same exactly experience I was experiencing. I don’t review anything. I don’t even venture on most social media outlets. This is the exception. My experience with LasikPlus has been nothing short of a miracle. This isn’t an exaggeration. Prior to my consultation I was under the impression I couldn’t receive corrective surgery due to my age and then because of other eye issues. Then because my eye condition grew so painful my husband booked the consultation; he couldn’t see me suffer anymore. I met with Dr. Salonia after Bertha sized my eyes up and after Vinton went through the payment process with me. The doctor told me I was on the borderline of Lasik and PRK. The staff goes through the differences of both procedures with you and ultimately PRK’s healing process is more extensive. When I went in for surgery it was decided PRK was the way to go. I was prepped, talked to, and treated with calming service. I met Dr. Fleishman, who did my procedure. I was brought into what I call, “The Laser Room” and laid down. I was given numbing drops right away and the procedure started. Some probing, some flushing, some lights. All very uncomfortable, but not painful, and that was to be expected. All the while I was comforted by Dr. Fleishman, Bertha, who I previously met, and another staff member who was equally as skilled and helpful. The whole procedure was on the TV screen in the room and my husband was able to watch the whole time. Again, the procedure was painless, uncomfortable, but painless. I expected everything that happened, except for the smell after the laser hit. It smelled like burning hair, no big deal, but funky. I was given sunglasses right away. I grabbed my bag of artificial tears and other goods that Vinton gave me before the procedure. My husband and I went home and I sat in darkness for two days. I’m glad I did. Many naps were taken during this time, which allowed me to heal. I used the prescription service, Medley, which is recommended by the office for any drops and medications needed. Medley was great with their delivery service and customer service altogether. They even gave me some awesome coupons for deep discounts. I followed the doctor’s instructions and really allowed myself time to heal. The second day after the procedure was the worst pain through the whole process. Much stinging and burning, but nothing out of the ordinary. I got the procedure done on a Thursday morning. By Saturday evening I could clearly see my husband’s beautiful face once again. We both had emotional tears and couldn’t wait to see what the follow-up notes were looking like. That Monday I met with Dr. Salonia and she removed the temporary contacts they use for PRK procedures. She was surprised at how beautifully I healed at that point and how well I could see. She informed me there’s more healing to be done, but the bulk of it happened by following all instructions at all times. This is imperative! I have another follow-up in about a month and I look forward to it. Thank you to both doctors, Bertha, Vinton, Erica, and all staff at LasikPlus! I encourage those who are seeking corrective surgery to use this facility. You’ll be in caring hands.

I did my PRK surgery with LasikPlus a week and a half ago and I couldn't have had a better experience. I found them through my vision insurance (Eyemed) because there is a 15% discount and decided to go in for a consultation based on the great reviews. Everyone who works there is very nice and approachable. I was initially hoping to get Lasik but after testing my eyes (twice!), it turned out I needed PRK. I was disappointed and worried given PRK's longer recovery time but they reassured me that it's not a big deal. My recovery went exactly as they described - 2 days of discomfort and not really being able to open my eyes for long periods of time and drastic improvement after that. I was diligent with my eye drops and by the 3rd day post-op, I was able to go about my business with sunglasses and was seeing 20/15 by the time of my check-up 4 days post-op. For those who are considering either Lasik or PRK, I definitely recommend LasikPlus for their reasonable pricing and the patient experience and for those lucky PRK candidates who may be skeptical as I was at first - it really is worth it!

The procedure was fast and painless. I love my new eyes!! It was totally worth it and I have no regrets! I would recommend you guys to anyone thinking about getting lasik.
