The Assil Eye Institute was amazing! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Nico for handling all my scheduling needs as I was traveling from out of state. And Diana Peterson for making my experience exceptional. I was thrilled to find out that Dr. Assil performed the eye nevus removal surgery. It's an insecurity I've had for years and hated. He did a great job and made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. It has been about six weeks, and I am still waiting for my eye to recover after my nevus removal, so I hope to see clear white eyes soon!

Dr. Assil and staff were very thorough with their testing and they explained to me every step of how Lasik works. Very professional and efficient. The EAGLE VISION procedure is incredible and I went from -6 coke bottle lenses to better than 20/20 in just a few minutes. Highly recommend it if you qualify! I’m a lawyer and I had been postponing surgery due to hearing about botched surgeries and malpractice by some “eye specialists”. Dr. Kerry Assil was referred to me and has the reputation of being one of the finest ophthalmologist surgeons in the world. He advised me to do lens replacement surgery in both eyes. He performed the surgery and I was able to see well right after being brought out of the surgery room, and I went back to work the day after the surgery. Amazing! My middle aged, poor eyesight has been transformed to my perfect eyesight as it used to be when I was a teenager! This guy is brilliant and a very professional, humble physician. I find the staff and the doctors superb and feel that they communicate extremely well, show genuine concern for the patient, and generally are very warm. My only small concern is that sometimes lengthy wait past the scheduled appointment time before things get started, and the feeling that some of the technicians and doctors are very rushed, although they do their best not to show it. (I had cataract surgery in both eyes, and that was the experience upon which this review is based).

I've worn contact lenses for 50 years and when cataracts rendered these ineffective I decided on cataract surgery with Dr. Assil. I went for the multi vision and I can see near and far perfectly now! So happy with the result. I would recommend Dr. Assil to the highest degree.

It’s been two years and it’s truly the life changing decision. Dr Assil has amazing bed side manner. His team is very attentive and trust worthy. I was in the operating room for under 30 minutes and the surgery felt less than 5 minutes. I started to watch projector screen the next day and I have never had dry eye in the past two years like I used to because of wearing contacts. I wore glasses and contact lenses for over 15 years. I received Eagle Lasik and I have thick cornea. They said I could get another Lasik when I’m older if I need to, for long sight. I recommend all my friends to get Lasik from Assil because it’s really the best in the country.

All alone at the top of a long list of great doctors offices so far. Assil Eye was the ONLY practice that was even willing to consider truly optimizing my vision with the possibility of using Eagle Eyes LASIK post-IOL surgery to fix my Cataracts. Sure, the very best IOL surgeons and surgeries will not require any further optimization after IOL placement, but there are many of us that have need of truly exceptional vision! I regularly use the 60" and 100" telescopes on Mount Wilson, so the extra extremely fine refinement offered by Assil is definitely worth it for me! Not only is this offered at Assil, it is well understood that they offer it as a regular premium plan option! No other "Top Doctors" would even consider it. Obviously I am well versed in optics and the optics of a huge telescope are not substantially different from the eye. Different, yes, but Dr. Kerry Assil and I had a brilliant conversation about it all and I'm confident in our choices. No other doctor would take the time to discuss the physics of light to resolve my concerns and desired outcome. Scientists, Sports Superstars, Sailors, Pilots and other surgeons will be very pleased with Dr. Assil.

I received Eagle Vision LASIK from Dr. Assil. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and service that him and his team offer. I wore glasses and contacts for a little over 10 years and received this procedure at the age of 23. Now I get to show off my blue eyes and get to fall asleep without worrying about removing my contacts. It was worth every dollar. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor than Dr. Assil. He doesn’t just do LASIK. He performs many other surgeries. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable. As a nurse I work 12-hour shifts back-to-back. I am able to wake up in the morning and quickly get ready. I don’t get fog in my glasses anymore, or worry my contact will pop out while I’m cycling ( it’s happened). As a soon to be mother as well, I’m excited for the new memories with my perfect vision. I’m excited to see my baby’s face and be able not worry about glasses. The only side effect I have form my surgery is dry eyes (which is common). I listened to Dr. Assil and I continue to buy preservative-free hydrating eye drops. I buy the single doses for cleanliness.

I was diagnosed with a Conjunctival nevus "Freckle" in both of my eyes by my local optometrist. The optometrist explained it was benign with the potential to become melanoma. Also, I did not aesthetically like the pigment in my eyes. I desired surgery for nevi removal but there were no physicians in the DMV area that specialize in this procedure. I was fortunate to find Assil Eye Institute via YouTube/ Google. Nico was my initial point of contact at Assil EI. Nico is very kind, professional and has an art for customer service. He explained the consultation, potential pricing and how the process works for traveling clients. The appointment times were scheduled and I was greeted by a friendly staff. Seamless process from start to finish. The procedure was less than an hour. If you travel solo and using ride apps (Uber/Lyft) , I would highly recommend staying in office post procedure until your eyes are not as blurry from the medication. I did not anticipate this and I had to return back to the office after picking up my prescription, so I could safely book a ride back to my hotel. Thank you once again to Dr. Assil, Nico, Front office staff, Carlos (*thanks for playing Ampiano), Diana (*Javier is on my next visit), Shirley and to the other staff members I did not mention by name.

This is a class operation. Dr Assil and his team continue to impress. I cannot believe the amount of interesting pieces of evaluation equipment. This place truly has the most up to date ways to determine eye health. My cataract surgery ,just a few days ago , continues daily to improve my eyesight. Dr. Assil is my hero! He saved me after complications from a Lasik procedure in which one of my eyes developed "epithelial ingrowth", meaning sudden cell growth started to block my vision, which my original eye surgeon informed me might lead to needing a corneal transplant. Scary stuff. A friend, another eye surgeon (at Kaiser), recommended that I immediately seek out a second opinion from Dr. Assil. As soon as I walked into his office, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Assil has a bevy of staff, all super efficient and knowledgeable. They have a checks and balance system so that nothing slips through the cracks. Under the care of Dr. Assil and his staff, who performed an "epithelial sweep", I now have perfect vision. I am forever grateful to Assil Eye Institute and recommend any and all to go to him as the first opinion!

I came here for lasik and had an amazing experience. Dr. Sodhi Gaur Took great care of my me and explained every step of the process to me. It can feel overwhelming with all of the eye exams but Dr.Gaur keeps you informed about everything which is really helpful. The entire staff was very helpful and kind. The surgery itself was short (around 10-15 mins) but the machine that prevents your eyes from blinking can feel painful due to pressure of the suction. Aside from that, the surgery is straight forward and quick. I received thorough instructions on my post op care. The staff actually care about their patients and you feel well taken care of. Going through with lasik is a scary process, but Assil Eye institute goes above and beyond in making it a seamless experience.

I had a eye surgery 3 years ago. Doctor Assil put an implant on my right eye. It was a very difficult decision I had to make, my vision was in the hand of the surgeon and his team. I don't know how they decide which doctor is going to work with you but.......there could not have been a better doctor for me than Dr. Gaur. Aaron was my first contact. He did all my preliminary tests. He is wonderful. At the end of the visit I told him I was going to go to two other practices to compare. I'm 60+ and have an eye disease since about 10 years old and after several corneal transplants over the years still needed contacts, glasses and or both to see and was still diagnosis legally blind. Then I met Dr Assil and his team a few years ago who really fixed my cornea's! my vision was so good for the first time in my life it felt like a rebirth. I can't possibly recommend Dr. Assil any more highly than I do, he's a remarkable surgeon.. The only one I'd ever trust with my eyes.. I now have several friends who plan on having Dr. Assil do this same surgery on their eyes, when they're ready. Also: the post surgery follow up, thus far has been equally as impressive: amazingly thorough.. Yes.. I give Dr. Assil and the entire Assil Eye Institute a 10 for sure!

Its has been about 10 years since I made one of the best decision of my life, which was getting lasik done by Dr. ASSIL. I had thought about for a while before but I was nervous and scared but had finally become so tired of contacts and all that goes along with them, that I finally decided I would just go to a lasik seminar and check it out. I didn't know Dr Assil at the time but I was able to ask him direct questions and he made me feel so comfortable, so I booked my appointment that day to came in for a consult and didn't look back. I can still remember sitting in the exam room after surgery and he came into the room, checked me out and said congratulations you have new eyes and I looked around and things were already clearer. After that my recovery was quick and easy, I even headed up to YMCA summer camp in Big Bear a few weeks later and had no issues and have not had any issues since. What prompted me to witre this is I actually just got my eyes checked and I am still 20/20. After all these years, thanks Dr Assil, you're the best!
